I watched the first few episodes of the live action yyh. The pacing is just objectively not very good. It felt like they were trying to shove in genkai's death and give yusuke his power up as soon as possible while also skipping the dark tournament. I did like yukina being in the cage that was a nice touch. Also really really like Hiei giving himself the Jagan. I do not like how goofy he looks though. I get his hair is stupid and hard to translate into live action but could they not have done better. I didn't like the fact that kuwabara just. Doesn't know about spirits either. Like what isn't his power high spiritual sensitivity. Their biggest crime however is completely erasing shizuru. Like come on man can't we have at least one win for women you removed keiko's hero moment in the fire. (Though they did add in her little speech about judging others for herself i liked that) I'm still like . Three episodes in though so maybe there's more win for women coming later on. Genkai just shows up supposedly trains yusuke for 20 days and is like "Let Me Give You My Orb Boy" then dies and it just didn't feel earned?? Swagever.
