The Eighth Sense post-canon drabbles because I'm so obsessed with them I'm going to chew my way through my bedframe if I don't get it out of my system.

Chapter 1: Jaewon introduces Jihyun to his friends and Taehyung doesn't understand why Jihyun gets on with everybody except him.

My Nightmare Ending for The 8th Sense.

There's a timeskip, a few years, and then we open on a tracking shot of JiHyun at work in a graphic design firm. The shot is from behind and just enough is shown to identify him, shoulder and back and a bit of hair, looking at what he's seeing.

The day is winding down and everyone is excitedly planning drinks and dinner after work... but JiHyun is not invited and does not seek out their attention, slipping out the door and into the busy street while they talk.

And then silence starts to follow him as he heads home. Everything is quieter and quieter until he enters a silent apartment, the only sound the door closing behind him.

He doesn't stop as he heads in, finally sentient his bedroom. There's a fish tank there, the decorations all surfboards across the bottom and tiny fish darting among them.

JiHyun sits on his bed and then slowly lies back without the camera moving until it begins to track his hands, following as he reaches up the wall to reveal two framed sketches... his and JaeWon's from the Han River Park.

His fingers ghost across JaeWon's sketch and then the shot, still silent, cuts to black.

And fades back in on JaeWon. Same angle as before, behind and just enough to identify him. He is working in an office and enrich is taking to him, complimenting him, inviting him out to drinks and dinner and he accepts the offers without hesitation.

We follow him on and off through his night, never in silence but never understanding what anyone is saying either, just a constant noise and unclear words and drinks and music as the night grows later.

And then he's finally going home, but it's loud there too, no silence even as he heads up the stairs to his bedroom.

There's a fish tank there, a huge one, but there's nothing personal or decorative in it. Just fish and water and it's still loud, though more and more the sounds are muffled.

The shot stays in the fish tank as JaeWon bends down and disappears from the frame, leaving us to follow his actions through the creak of a drawer and the shuffle of paper until he sits back up and we see what he was getting.

It's the sketch JiHyun did of him surfing. It's older, a bit bent, there are little tear marks in some of the lines, this has obviously been with him but hidden for a long time.

The house sounds are still present as he runs his fingers along the lines of the sketch. He is never alone, but even more, but the wish for that is apparent.

Cut to black, fade to credits.

i have a poorly-maintained mdl if people would like to see it.

so, to be clear, all but three of all the bls ive ever watched i watched in 2023 (and maybe two depending on if you count between us as 2022 or 2023) and as such this sample size is. skewed. but also still somehow less than the other folks who i've been seeing. i tend to go Deep into obsessions instead of wide; i'm aware i havent seen a lot of genre classics but i also have done my best to watch important highlights hehe

Number of BLs this year and hours: 26 completed shows! im also still in the process of watching last twilight. my probably messed-up math on this means that the hours of that is about 226? apparently?

Your favorite show was the eclipse, obviously, which it might surprise some of you to know i DID watch in 2023 (barely, i started in early january, but it was this year). only friends if it has to be a 2023 release.

You read the most fanfiction about: by volume it's probably only friends -- it's not true anymore but for most of the airing period i very much had read or at least tried to read every single fic in the ao3 tag. lmao. eclipse & not me fanfic also beloved to me. return shoutout to you, jay, whose ray sustained me

Another of your favorites from this year was: i LOVE our dining table. so cozy and warm and beloved. my school president, which i did not start watching til 2023, also counts for me. both of those shows are like.... like throwing a cozy blanket over your shoulders

The soundtracks you listened to the most: let's try was my number one on my Actual wrapped, surprising absolutely no one forever. i also listened to the msp soundtrack a lot. another winner for me is the dark blue kiss soundtrack, which is full of incredible bangers

Switch Rivals - Chapter 17/21

This is one of many archived fanfics featuring 1st and 2nd generation K-pop acts that I've come across recently. It's all in good fun, and maybe a bit cringeworthy! Just to clarify, I don't post fanfics, so I hope to the people that post and read K-pop fanfics makes sense. Credits go out to the original creator 90s_love.

Summary:

Tony hit his limit and plans something to get the remaining 4 Sechskies members in trouble.

Chapter 17: Suffering

On Sechskies' side, the rest of them never noticed anything strange about "Jaeduck" and Suwon. They thought that they were just hanging out without them. The following week, the CEO decided that they should do a charity concert.

"Why a concert so suddenly?" (Jiwon)

"It's a way to get more attraction than H.O.T. You want that, right?" (CEO)

"Well, yes." (Sunghoon)

Tony gulped. That didn't sound good. Not with the charity part but with the surpassing H.O.T part. That's going to be difficult. Then he has a plan. He and Suwon went to SM secretly to tell H.O.T about his plan.

"So, you want Jaeduck to go on stage?" (Heejun)

"Yes. On the last song, which will be 'Couple', they will see that they've been treating him badly." (Tony)

"Are you sure, Hyung?" (Jaeduck)

"I'm sure. It's going to be worth it." (Tony)

It was the day of the charity concert. Sechskies were performing and H.O.T were in disguise in the back of the audience seats. It was time for the plan. They went backstage and switched Tony and Jaeduck's clothes.

"Now it's time for the closing performance. Here is 'Couple'." (Jiwon)

Everyone cheered. It sounded like this is their favourite song. Jaeduck didn't hold onto a microphone because he didn't have any singing parts. As they were half way through performing, he broke down into tears and collapsed.

"Hyung!" Suwon went to him.

The others didn't notice anything and they went backstage to H.O.T. 

"I'm sorry. I couldn't help it." (Jaeduck)

"It's okay. It's all part of the plan." (Tony)

The song ended. Sechskies were expecting cheers but got backlash instead.

"Didn't you see Jaeduck oppa was suffering?!"

"What kind of people are you?!"

"Are you even friends?!"

There were all kinds of bad stuff said to them. Then they realized that "Jaeduck" and Suwon aren't here.

"When did they..." (Jiyong)

"I don't know." (Jaijin)

"So, getting them backlash was the plan?" (Woohyuk)

"Kind of but not exactly." (Tony)

They left the arena and went back to the house.

The merchant was working on the reverse potion and was ready.

"Are you two ready for this?" (Merchant)

"Yes."

"Now, it only lasts a few days so I don't know when you will switch again." (Merchant)

"It's alright. We get to be ourselves again." (Tony)

"Yeah..." (Jaeduck)

"You okay?" (Tony)

"Oh... Sure..." (Jaeduck)

"Okay then. Here goes nothing." (Merchant)

He throws the vial and a cloud of smoke appeared. After the smoke cleared, Tony and Jaeduck were back to their normal selves.

"It worked." (Tony)

"It did." (Jaeduck)

"Now things can be normal for a while." (Kangta)

"That's great, isn't it?" (Jaewon)

"Oh... Yeah... Sure." Jaeduck's voice was kind of shaky. Tony was worried that the plan might backfire on him.

The next day, the news of Jaeduck breaking down at the concert made headlines. "Sechskies' Kim Jaeduck collapsed at a concert. Only member Jang Suwon helped him up. Why didn't they others do so as well? Currently, Sechskies and the company are receiving tons of backlash for allegations of mistreatment."

"This was not part of the plan." (Tony)

"What was the plan?" (Heejun)

"The plan was to let them see that they're mistreating him. I didn't expect allegations would get involved." (Tony)

He didn't expect anything except Sechskies realizing their mistake. What's going to happen now?

Jealousy Boyfriend Part 1

You were in your apartment alone cause Jaewon was busy working for his latest debut and his schedule. While he was with the fan meeting and stage, you have time to watch other idol music video, dance practice or maybe watch a movie if you could. You didn’t tell Jaewon that you’re a fan of Exo. He maybe fine on the outside but you just know he will be jealous inside.

“Jagiya I’m home” he calls you once he got home but all he got was a silent. “Jagiya? You home?” he looks around the living room but still no sign of you. He looks at the kitchen but you still not there and he decides to look at the bedroom. He peeks inside the bedroom and you were wearing a headphone “No wonder she can’t hear me” he smile and came closer to scare you but stop when he saw another guy that you were looking at.

You were so focused on the screen that you didn’t notice that he was behind you. He pulled away your headphone and when you turn around, you saw your boyfriend putting the headphone to himself. “Oppa! No No No! Don’t" you try to pull it back but he holds your hand to stop you from taking.

“Is this what you been doing when I’m not around” he shows you a smile but you look away from him. He really didn’t mind if you enjoy looking talking to another guy cause he trusts you. He finally gives it back to you “I’m hungry. Can you make me something? I miss you home cook.” he makes pouty lips leaving you giggle and peck on his lips. “I’ll be in the kitchen if you need me” you close your laptop and making your way to the kitchen. He looks back at your laptop for the last time and follows you behind.

~a few days later~

He was a guest in Get It Beauty 2017 with Mino and Hanbin and ask you if you could go with him cause he needs tips. This maybe not the first time he makes up a girl face cause he once makes up your just for fun but ends up ruined it. But this time, he wants to try the best and make his fans proud. You didn’t know that EXO also in the same building as him as they making a comeback. You were on your way to his waiting room, the member from EXO came out from their waiting room too making their way to the stage. You were on your phone when you were walking but you suddenly bump into someone.

“I’m so sorry.I-I should look where I’m going” you look up and your jaw drop as your eyes were looking back at your bias. “It’s fine. It’s not like you push me or something.” he smiles back at you and picks up your phone that fall on the ground. He looks if there’s any damage but thank god nothing happens. “ Ahh- I-I think I should be going now” you clear your throat and look away. “Yea, let’s talk other time then” he gave back your phone and you thank him.

He walks the opposite side of you but you remember that you didn’t have his phone number, how you’re going to keep in touch. “Wait! I didn’t-” but he was nowhere to be found. You shrug and continue with your phone but there’s a reminder on your phone

You laugh to yourself but stop it when you think when did he type this. You shook your head and continue your walk to your boyfriend waiting room. You knock before you got in, Jaewon was doing his hair while the other two were playing with their phone while the makeup artist does their makeup. You greet all the staff “______-ah, why didn’t you let us know that you were coming” one of the staff speak while doing Mino’s makeup. “I didn’t even plan to come but someone begging me come” she laughs while Jaewon denying. You saw Exo on air right now and thinking back the incident happen just now. Without you notice, Jaewon put his arm around your waist and swing your side to side.

“What are you thinking?” he asks while resting his head on top of yours. “Nothing, just some of things happen” he turns you around while showing a serious look. “Is everything okay?” you chuckle and hug him “Nothings bad happen. It made Jihyun’s heart speed up and his eyelashes flutter and he wanted to stay in that moment forever.

I woke up very early because I need to be one of the first people in class today, because on the first day of uni, I had noticed that beautiful girl was the very first person in class. I have to go early and apologise for busting her lip. I just hope that she let’s me speak to her when we see each other. I just hope that she doesn’t skip classes today, because I heard that today's classes are very important and I don’t want her to fall behind in her studies. I finish getting ready and rush out of my room for a quick breakfast so that I head out for lectures. Again, Hwimin and Gyujeong are sleeping in and will probably come to class late so I might as well just leave without them. Our lecturer also emailed us saying that he moved us in a classroom so I have to find my way there.

~10 minutes later~

I finally get to the front doors of the lecture workshop, heart beating, palms sweating and my legs a wobbling before entering the class because as much as I want to speak and apologise to the pretty girl, I don’t know what to say and how to start the conversation. What if she’s not even in class today? What if she’s holding a grudge for busting her lip? Anyways, let me not think of the negatives and let’s just enter class. As soon as I opened the door, I started scanning for that pretty girl, a d before I could even see her, I could smell her lovely scented perfume from the front of the class.

“YES! She’s in class today" I exclaimed in my head. Her hair beautifully done and face so angelic made my heart go crazy again. Everything about her is on point.

I made my way to the back of the classroom where she is seated, so that I can start a conversation with her.

“ Hey, is this seat taken?”

“ Umm, hi. No, you can sit here if you want" she says as she lifts up her head from the magazines with a surprised smile as I caught her off guard.

After I sat down, it was really silent and awkward again. She continued to read her magazines while I was thinking of how to start the conversation.

“ So -" we both expressed unexpectedly

“No, you go first” I said.

“ Okay, so I was wondering if you’re feeling better now. You know....your head.” She says, as she motions her head.

“ Oh yeah, it got better thank you for asking.... but what about you? Are you okay now? Because you know...your lip" I motioned her lip as I said that.

“ Yeah” *giggles* “its fine now, thanks for asking" she says with a warm smile.

“ Hey, I’ve been thinking about this for a long time.”

“ Thinking about what?” she says with raised eyebrows, confused.

“ Thinking about apologising to you for hurting you. I made your lips bleed” I said apologetically.

“ Hey, it’s fine. It was an accident. Accidents happen all the time, it’s not like you did it on purpose” she says as she giggles. “I forgive you" she smiles.

“Thank you for forgiving me. Sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Jaewon, but people call me ONE. What about you? What’s your name?

“ My name is Melissa, nice to meet you again Jaewon" she says with a wide smile while giving her hand to me for me to shake.

“Nice to see you again too, Melissa.” I say while taking her soft hands to shake.

As soon as we both shook hands, we were no longer alone. Our class mates had entered class and began to sit down.

“Welcome back to Advertising class, ladies and gents. Right, so today’s lesson is very important yet very short so listen up carefully because I won’t repeat it again. So assignment 1, there are 8 non profit charities and they all need help with their social media accounts. I want you guys to be their social media consultants. I want you guys to build a relationship with your clients, research popular social media sites, what they should post and when they should post. Is this assignment okay with everyone?”

“YES" the whole class expressed.

“ Good. Now I want you all in 8 groups of 4. So please get yourselves in groups of 4. I’ll give you guys 20 minutes.” Jonathan rushed.

“Hey Melissa, do you want to be in a group with me?” I ask her.

“Yeah sure, I’d love to. But please, I want no slackers in our group. I don’t want bad grades fro any of my classes.” She says with a serious expression.

“ Yeah sure, let’s look for serious candidates” I giggle to make the atmosphere a bit more friendly.

~10 minutes later~

“ 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Everyone stop!” Jonathan shouts. “ is anyone missing any group members? I noticed there’s not a lot of people in class today"

“Me and Jaewon are missing 2 more people in our group" Melissa says.

“Yeah us too" two more groups explain.

“Hmm, okay. You guys can be a duos for now, I will email everyone that is missing from class to tell them that there are 3 incomplete groups left. But for now, please choose the charity of your choice and get to work and email me what 2 charities you want and why you want to consult them. Out of the two charities you choose, I will then pick one from your selection that suits you better. Okay? Okay, you are all dismissed" Jonathan says as he walks out of the class leaving us all discombobulated.

Everyone else from class decided to leave for their next lectures or to enjoy the start of their weekend but me and Melissa stayed in class so that we could research about all the non profit charities and then choose two out of the 8.

(Melissa's pov)

“ Jaewon, since Jonathan said that we can pick two charities, why don’t you pick one and I pick one too?” I offered.

“ Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too" he says with a smile.

“ Okay, so I wont pick the fashion and clothing charity because you might not be into fashion as much as I am. So my pick will be the Art museum. What about you Jaewon?” I ask.

“ Ah, thanks for being considerate but you can still choose the clothing one as one of our choices because I was actually thinking of having the art museum as one of my choices too.” He says with a smile on his face.

“ oh okay, I guess we can choose both the clothing charity and the art museum then!”

“Alright then, let’s research about the two charities and do a write up since Dumb- I mean Jonathan wants us to do that and then when we finish, we will finally send it off" He says with a serious face.

“ Yeah sure, let’s do it"

We finally finished doing our work and we began to pack up and put our coats and jackets on.

“ Well, we have finally finished our first portion of our first assignment. We just have to wait and see which of the two charities will be working with us. I honestly don’t mind what we end up with" Jaewon says.

“ Yeah me too" I say as I finish packing my bag.

“ So what are you doing now? Jason asks.

“ Oh me?, I’m heading home and just chilling. So basically I’m not really going to do anything, why what’s up?

“ Oh no, I was just wondering whether you were going home or not so we can both walk home together. You know, since I live in the United block.” He says.

“ Oh yeah, sure. We can walk home together" I say with a smile.

~ A few moments later~

“Ah, so you live in Trinity block? No wonder I haven’t seen you in United block" Jaewon says.

“ Yeah * I giggle* thank you for walking me home Jaewon. It was nice of you"

“ No worries. It was nice talking to you too. Well, I’ll see you next week?” Jaewon asks.

“ Yeah, I’ll see you next week for Marketing”

“ Right, I’ll head to my accommodation then, bye" he says as he waves at me.

“ Bye" I say as I wave back at him.

This Jaewon guy isn’t as bad as I thought he would be. He’s really cool and very thoughtful, I always thought that he would be the cocky type,rude, considering that he is a rapper and stuff. But so far, so good. Everyone from our class even went home as soon as we got given our assignments but we stayed to get our work done, that shows that he is very serious about his degree. He even walked me home, which was a really nice gesture.
