Hello ! I positively adore the running joke of Idia unknowingly finding Lilia to be the coolest guy ever whenever he doesn't know it's him, like when Silver described his father, or obviously with muscle red. I can't say what'd be funnier, Idia finding out his online best friend is actually Lilia, resident spooky hyper fairy; or them both never finding out, and it'd become even more ridiculous as time goes on. How do you think it'll play out ? You're always so on point
(Also, though it makes sense, I'm still devastated bat boy didn't get a ticket for the Halloween skeleton train : ( does anyone mentions him at some point ? Like how he'd have fit right in with all those Halloween town little freaks, and how he'd have impressed them with his spooks and scared techniques; after all he's been every Briar Valley's children worst fear on Halloween for centuries. I'm on the eng server and I didn't wanna spoil myself by watching the whole thing on youtube)
Have a nice day !
you and me both, Idia and Lilia being oblivious online BFFs (+ Idia being incredibly intimidated any time Silver brings up his jock gamer dad) is my favorite running joke/subplot. 🤝 it's SO good, to the point where I also am unsure if I actually want it to ever be resolved or not...maybe, like, as a post-canon stinger or something? everyone's standing around covered in overblot ink, and Idia and Lilia's phones go off at the same time...
(legit I do think this is part of why Idia couldn't be present for Lilia's dream, because for some reason Lilia decided he was going to just. embody his past self online. he probably quotes his own battle strategies or whatever in the middle of boss fights. Idia didn't pick up on the whole "oh how weird that we both live on a super remote island" thing, but he would spend thirty seconds listening to General Lilia describing siege warfare and be like "w-wait")
all that aside, however it does end up happening, I do see Lilia being very blasé and all "oh! cool!" about it. y'know, taking it very much in stride! and Idia...very much not.
(can't tell if tumblr is going to chew this into illegibility or not, this will be a fun surprise ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ)
as for Lilia sadly missing out on Halloweentown shenanigans...he does get one little mention as part of an offhand reference to the light music club, but so far no one has brought up how this basically is just Lost In the Book of Liliatown (Sebek's been too busy yelling about not getting to be in the same group as Malleus). 😔 honestly though, it's probably for the best that he got left out, because he would just settle right in and refuse to ever leave. canon would shatter. we would miss out on all the delightful angst of episode 7 because Lilia is too busy eating poisonous shrubbery inbetween practicing his very best screams, and no one can pull him away from it.
(I can hope for a sequel next year though...)

"he did." wen nodded her head, the corners of her lips turned up as she thought of niko. "i don't know the full story about what happened, but i encouraged you to go and meet with lan's ex-wife and you came back with niko. he was immediately accepted into our family. i don't believe lan was aware of his existence and i'll always feel sad about that." she admitted, gaze falling to the ground. there was not a single day that went by that she hadn't felt guilty that she got to know and raise niko when lan didn't even know he existed. she was surprised by the suddenness of his embrace, but she immediately relaxed. the smile on her face widened as her own arms moved back around his neck. "i love you too." while her tone was not as fierce as his, she meant it no less. the one that had befriended her brothers, not caring about what anyone else said about them or their family. the one that hadn't cared that she was non-reactive and held now superstitions in his heart about her. she let her chin rest on his shoulder as she drew in a deep breath, breathing in his familiar scent. she wondered what it had been like for him, her not having her memories. even though it was a short time, she couldn't even begin to imagine what it would feel like to have hilo look her in the eyes without a single ounce of recognition in them. it would kill her. she spotted the mischievous look in his eyes as he pulled back and it was almost like she knew what he was going to say before he even said it. "it could take some time for us to be fully reacquainted." the glint in her eyes an answer to his own.
"Lan had a son?" Hilo replies, voice lowered in a mix of shock and awe. Did his brother know about the kid, when he was alive? Hilo sure as hell hadn't known... at least, from what he remembers, though clearly he's missing more than a small part of the whole picture. But if Lan had been gone, it was only right to make sure that his son was raised a Kaul, so no matter how it shook out in the end, Hilo's sure that he must have made a good choice to bring the child back home with him. He feels a strong burst of emotion swell in his chest at the thought-- his children, raised in alongside Lan's own flesh and blood-- his and Wen's children-- and at that moment, he can't resist the urge to pull his wife close and embrace her tightly, as though to fight anything that would dare to pull them apart. "I love you," he declares yet again, his words so passionate this time that they're nearly a growl. The greatest woman he could have ever married; he's sure she's an incredible mother, just as much as an incredible wife... and when they find their children again (because they will, he thinks--) he can't wait to see it. If she'd really been that attached to her apartment, he could have moved in with her, but the location itself doesn't matter as long as they're together again. He presses his face to the side of her hair for a second, taking in the familiar scent before pulling away with a mischievous look in his eye. "The longer you close the store, the longer we'll have to reacquaint ourselves," he says, his tone making his meaning clear.

#uda🤝azi taking “possessed” isgarrens words to heart (@jaded-cactus)
hrughfh I had to quickly do something about this tag lmaoooo I hope you don't mind me borrowing your (extremely handsome) salad for a silly lil thing.
I genuinely think that Isgarren's boss fight during The World Spire story chapter is my favorite part of SotO. There were so many good moments that took advantage of the commander's instability, reactivity, and insecurities. I find Isgarren's character extremely compelling and I hope we continue to learn more about him!!! what's his problem!!!

Jade Shadows spoilers, just some lore thoughts and theorizing
I wonder if Jade was used for most high-order jade light executions and was the soul source of it, or if she was just an extension of an already existing technology. Before, I used to think the jade light was from some kind of device, but if it's been Jade this whole time at the source that has implications.
Of course, even if she was the source of jade light, it must have been harnessed in devices to allow for remote executions and portability, like on the Zariman and with the Myrmidon. So she wouldn't have had to perform all executions herself in person when even just her residual power is enough to power Parvos' jade eximus units.
But Parvos referring to Jade as an executioner might imply that she was used to perform at least some executions personally, and I imagine those would have been the executions performed in front of the Seven.
Like Margulis.
And if they needed a Tenno operator to control Jade, that would effectively have been using a Zariman kid to kill their adoptive mother using Jade, a victim of Ballas' warframe project during pregnancy.
holy fuck
Edit: Though there's also reason to believe that Jade wouldn't have been the one to execute Margulis because it may have required the use of a Tenno operator, which I can't imagine would go well. But there's still a bit of vagueness around whether Jade needed an operator, similar to how there's vagueness around whether Stalker needs one.
Edit 2 (July 2024): go behind teshin there's new jade lore go go go
#casual orokin war crimes beyond imagination#of course just me theorizing#i don't think this would retcon anything but it definitely recontextualizes the nature of jade light executions quite a bit#man ballas just keeps hoarding most of the war crimes when are we gonna hear more from the other executors#other than tuvul i guess cause he got some action with the zariman and voruna#warframe#warframe speculation#warframe lore#warframe spoilers#jade shadows#jade shadows spoilers#rambling

I was thinking again about the Jade Shadows quest, and I am just so glad we got to see the Corpus be human for once.
During The New War we got to see that humanity in the Grineer, in Kahl, who was ready to sacrifice his life not merely for his faction, but for his brothers. A scene I absolutely loved.
Yet, when we later play as the Corpus, as Veso, even if he does defy Alad and fight in the end, he still does it "for profit". (I am just now noticing the hirony in the fact that Kahl didn't have a name yet and still acted more as an individual than Veso, who did have one)
So, that scene where the Corpus (well, the captain) heard a baby's cry and immediately stopped firing. Seeing that it was not a threat that the Stalker was hiding, but just protecting a child, and then moving out of the way to let them go... I think it's purpusefully filling that role, that space, that I didn't see/feel in The New War.
There's just something so incredibly human about it.

The one good thing I will say about Ahsoka right off the bat is that I could watch those end credits forever. Just. Sit me down in front of those drawing lines with those cellos and I will stare at it like cats stare at fish in a tank.

CLH AU where Jade has alien plant powers (based on the aliens from BGE) and instead of staying dead, she comes back to life and decides to make Eden into a garden starting with Pagan’s Manor
Jade doesn’t want to be near Pey’J (understandably all things considered) and she hasn’t gotten over that Dolph got her shot and told the Warden to blow her brains out. Bullfrog however…. He’s been nothing but kind and sweet to her, and it is lonely growing a fertile invasion ground garden , and since he’s the last of the Assassin Brotherhood, keeping him close would be beneficial to Bullfrog and the DomZ Jade
She may or may not be under some kind of influence, not that she’s complaining
#captain laserhawk#captain laserhawk spoilers#rambles#Horror#jade beyond good and evil#DomZ Aren’t technically plant based but they look like spores to me and I think it’d be good to give Rayman war flashbacks

Seen a few posts about how rude Jade is (and I say this as a person who doesn't love where the nate/jade arc seems to be going), but I want to gently nudge people to look at her from a different take.
She's a bit rude by US standards, yes. She doesn't immediately jump to help or get Nate anything he wants...and some people have read that as her being worse than rude. But this is actually not unusual for Europe in general.
Depending on where you are treatment of customers may be more or less different than the US. France is probably the furthest from US customer service, but it's rare for any businesses in Europe to treat the customer as though they are "always right."
And forcing an employee to continuously act kind and helpful is definitely not common practice. Most employees are helpful and polite, but only if you treat them with respect and dignity. No one can be sweet all the time (not even Ted) so it makes no sense to force an employee to do that, and might even be seen as cruel for a business to require their employee to wear a constant smile.
And thinking about it, it IS pretty messed up that US culture requires employees to wear smiles and be pleasant all the time. We all know it's a facade anyway. We just demand that employees do a song and dance for us so we feel better about our consumerist hellscape. Plus this system just gives customers a sense of entitlement to treat employees any way they want to.
*deep breath, moving on, stepping off my soapbox now I promise*
Basically, Jade isn't "bad" at customer service, she's just bored and probably a bit tired. She gets her job done, but she's also not gonna do a bunch of fanfare or wear big smiles while she does it. She's not going to interrupt Nate, but she's also not really interested in what he's saying. She just wants to do her job and go home. It's the exact same as most restaurant workers in the US, the ONLY difference is she's not required to have a big fake smile on her face while she does it.
Also woman not smiling = heinous villain, is maybe not the hot take you think it is?
#you're experiencing culture shock friends#not a war crime#it's actually really messed up we expect people to wear smiles while they're working all the time#ted lasso#ted lasso spoilers#jade#and believe me I'm seeing the other problems with poc in this narrative#i just don't think this particular criticism is valid#food for thought
