Eilonwy doesn't know the reason he's into maps but she knows he loves them. So she brings him lots of old or rare ones from the library. He's extremely careful with them and she loves watching him go over them like he's in love. He's gonna make her jealous one day. XD

Eilonwy has a great time helping him study about Llyr. They go over history, culture, law, and it feels super intimate for her. He's learning so much just for her! He likes learning and it makes him feel closer to her too.

They try to take an easy night once a week so they can be together and enjoy their family. It's so much work to run Llyr that they have to be very careful not to leave anyone in the lurch. It's worth it though to enjoy each other's company and spend time with the kids doing something fun though.

They like to make tea together. They can take their time to make it when they can and enjoy heating up together. It's relaxing before bed and they can enjoy each other's company as they talk about the day.

Summer in Llyr is rough because it's so hot out. It's humid and muggy. So they love going to the beach or sipping cold drinks on the balcony while they work because they can cool off and still work near each other.

They are very careful with new stuff they pick. They want new additions to the castle to look good. They plan them very carefully together with lots of consideration for Llyr's history and aesthetic of the rest of the castle

They know it's good for Llyr to get better, but they hate how many rainy days there are. It means not only are they stuck in the office working, but they don't even get nice views. When they get to read together by the fire though? That feels nice

They love pasta. Alexander especially but he's gotten Eilonwy into it. So they like to have pasta nights at the castle. They like to switch up shapes and sauces and sides, but it's every third Wednesday. It really makes Alexander feel valued and they get great pasta.

They get a lot of invites to luxury travel. Unless there's other people who are going to be there that make it worth it (like lots of royals) they usually don't. Both for environmental reasons and because it's wasteful for them. Although they do enjoy hanging out in jacuzzis or spas on board. XD

They like going up the rivers in Llyr. They used to be so polluted and now they're healing. It's really encouraging and makes them feel more useful. It's also a fast way around Llyr.

Here's my top ten list, startin' from the worst:

10 Pandemonium Pub & Inn:

Set in the Gluttony ring, the food was great but I couldn't get ANY sleep because they kept playin' fucking loud music all night AND day.

Great if you're a party animal, not so much if you're an hired assassin and need sleep.

9 Abyssal Alehouse:

This one's set in the Envy ring, great view of the ocean, but constant bad weather and gloomy atmosphere.

Not only that, but water kept dripping from the ceiling of my bedroom, and I hate cold and humidity. Good soup, but they never told me WHAT exactly was in it. Creepy.

8 Stygian Pub & Inn:

Also set in the Envy ring, this one had really good rum, but they could've done more with the fucking HEATING.

Seriously! What's their problem with warm temperatures??

The food could've been better and the bed had a stupid, goddamn water mattress...which got pierced by my horns. Ugh.

7 Malebolge B&B:

Set in the Greed ring, good breakfast and decent beds, but it costed WAY too much for a simple Bed & Breakfast.

Also, I kept hearin' people shooting and bank alarms goin' off.

6 Hellfire Haven Inn & restaurant:

Set in the Pride ring, a little too fancy-looking for my tastes. Nothin' special, to be honest.

5 Havoc Hideout:

Now that's more like it. This is set in the ring of Wrath, and they make delicious chili dogs and privacy is always guaranteed.

4 The Fiery Furnace Tavern & Inn:

Set in the Gluttony ring, this one had the best stakes I've ever eaten. And it was warm (finally!), but there was a riot every evening. Not that I'm complainin', but after a while, it gets boring.

3 Eternal Flames Motel:

You can find this one in the Wrath ring, great rooms, great view, great beds. Discreet, silent and it was clean, so good service, too.

2 Perdition's Hotel:

Ahh, now THIS place is somethin' alright... it's in the Lust ring, and the "service" is top notch, along with the food and the bedrooms. The first three blowjobs or handjobs are for free, and there's a jacuzzi in every room.

1 Brimstone Lodge:

Of course the best of them all could only be in the Sloth ring.

The elevator reached their floor, and Kyla jumped slightly.  Max wrapped an arm around her waist to steady her, the combination of alcohol and high heels still giving her difficulty, and she couldn’t help but shiver when his fingertips brushed lightly against the side of her breast.

He guided her down the hall to their suite, his hand burning on her bare skin in a way she knew that she would never be able to forget.  

It’s not that Max was never sweet in New York — everyone knew just how charming Max Wolfe could be — but their trip had loosened him up and she would always love this beautiful country for giving her this side of him.

Max had claimed the lower floor for its large office, but spent most of his days working in the upper floor’s living room instead.  Kyla liked it better that way, it meant that while she spent most of her time out on the terrace or in the pool, sunbathing or swimming or reading, she could look over at the wall-to-wall windows and see him glancing back at her.  She always found herself thinking of Pretty Women, privately thinking of herself as the Vivian to Max’s Edward as she accompanied him on his trip, Max paying for almost an entirely new wardrobe and teaching her the ins and outs of high society.  The prideful part of her hated the comparison, but another, secret, part of her almost envied Vivian — at least Edward had wanted her.

It was the wrong — or very right, really — thing to say, and before she could quite realize what was happening, he’d lifted her up.  She wrapped her legs around his waist, certain that the heels of her shoes had to be digging into his back, but he didn’t seem bothered as he carried her down the hall towards his bedroom.

Kyla hadn’t known that he was that strong, but god, if it wasn’t doing something to her.  She definitely wouldn’t be forgetting how it felt, his arms wound firmly around her and his abs flexing against her stomach. With Max focused on opening the door, Kyla dropped her head down to latch onto the crook of his neck; if he could cover her in bite marks, she could give him one too.

He groaned, and Kyla could feel the vibration all the way through her body.  She tightened her legs around his waist, punctuating the hickey with another bite.

He set her down on the edge of the bed, standing in between her legs.

“Menace,” he repeated.

Kyla smiled up at him innocently, before taking advantage of his tie to pull him down for another kiss.  He was quick to reclaim control — really, Kyla could definitely have predicted that Max Wolfe would be the type to take charge in bed — and she was happy to let him.  

Max pulled back first, silk tie slipping through Kyla’s fingers as he did.  She sat, frozen, watching him.  Was he about to leave?  Going to call it a mistake, call it a night, pretend it never happened?  Had she been an idiot for ever thinking—

Did I ever (in solidarity, if also not nearly as bad as THTCB) share the DIY bathroom joys of my last house?

Jacuzzi tub but DIY fella installed it so that the only way to access the mechanical/maintainance needing bits was to completely tear a drywall wall apart.

Uneven/warped floorboards from water damage 'fixed' by putting spackle or grout into the dip and then leveling it with a trowel before sticking linoleum tiles over it.

The fuse box for the built-on bathroom would be ugly, I guess, so the DIY guy hid it behind the tank of the toilet, so that to do anything beyond squeezing your arm in to flip a switch, you had to disassemble the toilet. Also, y'know, the whole humidity issue of that placing for a fuse box.

None of the electrical in that addition he built was grounded =)
