what songs have you listened to for hours straight? its for science
Oh god, there’s so many. I’ll try to name the ones off the top of my head though!
“Ready, Aim, Fire” by Imagine Dragons. I listened to this one for a good few days, not as long as most other songs. It was mainly because I wanted to write a story, and that song was the closest feeling to what it was about.
“Tokyo Drifting” by Glass Animals. This one makes me feel like a little girl that loved watching street races. She’d build a car with her dad over a few years, speeding it around in an empty dirt space that stretches miles, practicing her driving for months. Then, her dad would challenge her to a race. So they’d get ready, a huge crowd building up, and start their cars. In the end, the girl wins by mere seconds. (:
“Can’t Get Out of Bed” by Crimson Apple. I just relate to it a lot. This one was on repeat for basically all of September.
“Maniac” by Conan Gray. I have no idea how long I had this on repeat. It started at the beginning of my writing project (the end of April) and continued sometime during July when I made a music video with it for class.
“WHITE TEE (Bass Boosted Alternate Version)” by CORPSE. It started out as an obsession with the song, and ended up with me making another writing project.
“Violence [Technoblade’s Theme]” by Kanaya. I just really really like the song.
“Stationary - original song” by Jacqui Patterson. Her voice is just so pretty, and the words she uses are so aesthetically pleasing. There’s not a set time that I’ve looped this, because I still find myself going back to listen to it for hours. I really recommend this song, and just her songs in general! She’s only on Youtube as far as I know, “Jacqui Patterson”.
“Dreamland” by Glass Animals. It makes me feel like I’m looking through a photo album of my highschool years. In other words, very comforting!
Those are the ones I can remember immediately, but I’ve no doubt there’s more (:

Jaquiche Patterson
Previously on Australian Survivor, AK and Tessa had taken control of Samatau putting Tara on the outs alongside my furry-bunned dreamboat Locky. Meanwhile over at Asaga, Henry finally threw an immunity challenge to boot Sam, pissing off Mark. After losing yet another immunity challenge, Mark tried to bring Luke and Jericho over to his side to break up the true Asaga power-couple Jacry. Thankfully…

“To study the self is to forget the self” Dōgen Lately, in my solitude, I have been studying the self, my self. I know this sounds like it’s going down the “self” ish rabbit hole. But it’s not. So stay with me please. I have been reflecting on the gravity of making music for most of my life. Specifically, recording professionally for 3 decades. After all, I began piano lessons at 6 years of age. I’m in it and it’s in me. Aldo, it’s interesting how the sheer nature of the piano, my muse and master, tends to be a lonely one. Whether practicing, rehearsing, composing, arranging, recording, producing or performing in varied diverse settings. I am often in all of this alone. True. But not true. This, this realization followed by a flood of thankfulness happened. In studying myself, I forgot myself. I concluded that the time had come for a “shout out loud” of love for all of the individuals (sound engineers, musicians, writers, visual artists and designers, and believers) that have become my collective holy tribe. That contributed to what is now a catalogue of 300 recorded tracks. (I didn’t count until I had to personally organize them for metadata info and genre labeling.) So. Thank you. I cherish.
