The Statement
(Jackson Nevrakis-Walker x Nicky Beaumont) in a Choices The Royal Romance (While We're Young AU) drabble
Thirty Kisses in Thirty Days Challenge prompt: kissing at a masquerade ball.
@krsnlove @hopelessromantic1352 @lodberg @twinkleallnight @tessa-liam @sirbeepsalot
A/N thanks again @hopelessromantic1352 for starting this challenge off with three amazing requests with couples I adore 🥰 *on a side note I would still love help from whoever wants to in choosing couples for the other 27 prompts 🤣

"Nicky!" Emily Beaumont breathed in disbelief.
She couldn't recall any moment in her twenty-one years where her older sister wore red to a court event. After all, St Orella's House colors were a deep royal blue and silver.
It simply wasn't done.
It was a Lythikos color.
Nicky twirled around. She brushed her rich, brown curls back over her shoulder and readjusted her black lace demi mask.
"What do you think?" Nicky asked a touch nervously.
"I think you're wearing the wrong colors!" Emily exclaimed.
She herself was wearing blue with silver sequins dotting here and there. Her own silver mask dangled from her fingers by blue ribbons.
Nicky grimaced. She knew her sister wouldn't understand the meaning nor the reason why she'd chosen to wear another duchy's colors.
But Nicky knew why she'd chosen to do something so...noticable.
She was determined to make a statement, one that would silence the whispers and rumors running amok in the royal court of Cordonia.
She also wanted to make it up to Jackson.
The heir to the duchy of Lythikos had already gone through a very painful year. Nicky publicly dumped him when she realized that the timing was off for them to move forward in their relationship (she wanted to get married while Jackson didn't see the reason to rush).
She'd then left the country with her mom and sister to grieve over the loss of her father, Maxwell. Jax was left behind to weather a broken heart while having to face the press on his own.
While away and trying to move on from Jackson, Nicky began dating one of Hollywood's newest sex symbols. Jax of course also tried to date others in the hopes of forgetting what he'd had in Nicky. Neither was good of letting go of the memories.
And just when she believed he'd never want anything to do with her again after months of silence, he appeared in California and took her to dinner. They were able to talk and be friends. They even planned to attend a wedding for a couple they didn't particularly care for together, as friends.
Then he had to go and be her hero when she was embarrassed over catching the wedding bouquet. He stood in front of everyone, kissed her hand, and said he'd hoped he knew who the lucky man she'd choose to marry, all while giving the illusion to the overly eager court members that he hoped it was himself.
Finally, he caught her alone. When he saw her crying he did what he'd always done before things ended badly between them. He took her in his arms and kissed her.
It'd felt like coming home, like coming to life once more. It was both strange and familiar all at once to be back in his arms.
Then that night Jackson confessed he was still in love with her, that he'd never stopped. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't feel that way towards anyone except her.
He wanted to try again.
Nicky didn't think her heart could take much more in that moment. She felt exactly the same way, she'd always felt like that.
But...
She still did not want to simply spin her wheels with him. She wanted marriage. She wanted a family of their own. She wanted their lives together to truly begin.
"I never said I didn't want that." He'd argued. "I've always known you were my future, Nicky."
Jackson was prepared to get down on one knee if that's what it took to keep her in his life. He was tired of his numb existence without her. Whatever lesson she'd tried to teach him all these months apart, he felt like he'd more than learned it.
Before he could do anything though, Nicky took a deep breath and said they should start over.
His eyes widened. He knew that before they broke up that she felt like they were wasting time. With the death of her father rattling her even more that life was too short and one shouldn't wait on anything, those were the last words he ever thought he'd hear her say.
She stepped out of his arms, determined to do this right. Nicky wasn't going to bully him into wanting to marry her. Perhaps she'd gone about their previous relationship all wrong. She wasn't certain how to change, but she would try and simply be his date, then girlfriend, then love, then...hopefully...
Jackson yanked her back in his arms. His lips captured hers in another deep kiss.
"We're back together?" He asked in a hoarse voice.
"Yes, but we're starting over." Nicky's breath hitched over the feeling of his lips kissing along her shoulder. "We'll have a first date and see how it goes."
"I claim this as our first date." He muttered against her skin.
She laughed in the midst of a moan. "I don't allow those types of kisses on a first date."
"Then this is whatever date you would allow these on." He drew her back into another heated kiss.
"Jax." She gripped him close. "I don't want us to end like we did before."
"We won't." He swore. "I'm never letting you go again, Nicky."
That's why she was now decked out in red and black. She was giving a public statement, one that the Cordonian nobles would not be able to misunderstand. She was showing them all that she was fully committed to Lord Jackson Nevrakis-Walker.
"The court is going to flip when they see you tonight." Emily reminded her. "And what's Mums going to think?!"
Nicky wasn't quite certain what their mother would think in seeing the heir to St Orella dressed like this.
"We have to let her see you before anyone else does!" Emily dashed out of the room before Nicky could stop her.
The future duchess silently prayed that her mother's new love, Thomas Hunt, would be enough of a distraction to keep her from being upset.
Amanda walked in with an anxious Emily hot on her heels. Thomas had been dragged along by Emily, who was also hoping that his presence would diffuse a potential fight.
Amanda's hazel eyes drifted along her daughter's pale features made even more beautiful with the rich red of her gown. Her lips curved in approval.
Nicky blinked in surprise. "Mom?"
"You look absolutely gorgeous!" Amanda took her hand and twirled her. "Jax won't know what hit him when he sees you."
Emily's jaw dropped. "You're not upset?"
"Upset? Why would I be?" Amanda asked, thoroughly puzzled over that notion.
Emily gestured towards her sister. "Because she's wearing Lythikos's colors!"
"So?" Amanda prodded.
"So?!" Emily looked about at each person in the room for help.
Thomas held his hands up. "Don't look at me. I have no idea what's going on."
Nicky's nervousness caused a laugh to slip out.
"I know why she's wearing this." Amanda explained. "I did the same thing with your father."
Both girls stared at her in shock.
"But you had the higher title!" Nicky exclaimed. "Dad should have worn your colors!"
"And he did." Amanda replied. "But when we first started officially being together, I wore Ramsford's colors to a ball." She shrugged with a smile. "Just to let everyone know whom I had chosen."
Nicky blinked back tears. She loved not only hearing her parents' love story but also seeing her own follow a similar path. Like her mother and father; she'd fallen for Jackson when they were children, had a major crush on him as a teenager, and fell madly in love with him as an adult.
To see that once again she was mimicking their sweet steps towards a happily ever after, she was more than thrilled with her choice in dress.
She hoped Jackson would understand the significance.
*********************
"Have you seen Nicky?" Jackson asked.
Emerick and Alec both shook their heads.
"Why didn't you escort her to the ball?" The crown prince asked.
"Because." Jackson huffed to Emerick as he accepted another drink. "She insisted on meeting me here."
"But you two are back together, right?" Alec prodded.
He couldn't take another moment of seeing two of his best friends being heartbroken.
"Yes. I made certain of it." Jax ran a hand through his hair, accidentally knocking his red and black demi mask askew. "She wanted to start over."
Emerick choked on his champagne. "Start over? All the way?"
"Yes." Jax groaned. "I told her we weren't doing that."
"I don't know." Alec chortled. "It would have been entertaining for the rest of us to see you act like you did as children."
Emerick chuckled over that image "There would be a lot of chasing her around the ballroom to pull her hair."
Jackson couldn't help but grin over those memories. He couldn't recall a time in his life when he didn't love Nicky.
"There's a blue dress." Alec pointed out.
Their eyes narrowed as they tried to figure out who it was.
"It's Emily." Emerick announced when he noticed his younger brother, Ellis, making a beeline towards her.
"Nicky can't be far behind." Alec pointed towards Amanda and Thomas taking to his mother, Hana. "Aunt Amanda is here too."
Jackson didn't know why he felt so antsy waiting on her. He was used to Nicky taking longer than usual to dress for a ball. Perhaps it was because after the wedding in Paris, they'd had to part ways while she finished her work in California and he had his duties here.
Now that the Beaumont ladies were back in Cordonia for good, he'd hoped to see more of her. But, she'd been busy unpacking and catching up on duties in St Orella with her mother and sister. They'd ended up spending these last few weeks simply talking on the phone. As much as he loved being able to do so again, he needed to be with her.
He checked the time then handed his glass to Alec.
"I'm going to go find her." He announced.
"Good luck!" His friends called out as he hurried through the crowd.
*******************
As Nicky descended the grand staircase of the royal palace, she paused at the sight of Jackson's mother staring at her from the foot of the stairs.
Her grace, Lady Olivia Nevrakis-Walker's sharp green eyes took in the young lady who son was in love with. She'd always approved of Nicky, even supported her side of things when the young couple's relationship ended.
But to see her wearing her duchy's colors...she couldn't be more proud of her son for choosing such a woman to love.
"Nicky, you've never looked lovelier." Olivia told her once she reached the bottom.
"Thank you, Aunt Liv." Nicky gave her a quick hug. "I wore this for Jax."
Olivia beamed at her. "You were meant to wear Lythikos colors."
She clasped her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'll see you later."
Olivia hurried off into the ballroom to find Drake. She was determined that they did not miss a moment of the other nobles seeing the heir to St Orella make a public declaration to Lythikos.
Plus, she couldn't wait to see their son's face when he saw Nicky.
***************
Jackson did his best not to curse too loudly as he waded through the crowd of masked individuals. Laughter and the hum of conversation drowned out his grumblings. There were few people he would willingly seek out in this crowd and Lady Nicky Beaumont topped that exclusive list.
He stepped on one lady's gown, went to apologize, only to end up stumbling into another lady.
He grasped the soft curves encased in sparkling red to keep them both from tumbling to the ground. His dark brown eyes collided with a pair of hazel orbs that he knew so well.
His arms wrapped around her, drawing her close, as his lips brushed against hers.
The tender exchange made Nicky's toes curl.
Jackson deepened the kiss the moment he felt her hands slide up his chest.
"Should we be kissing like this on a second date?" Nicky teased.
Jackson snorted. "This isn't a second date."
"It kinda is." She smiled at him, taking in how handsome he was in all black, save for the red mixed in his demi mask.
Jackson actually stepped back to truly look at her. His eyes widened the moment he saw what she was wearing.
"Nichole Beaumont." He said softly, twirling her to where her red skirt flared about.
"Yes, m'lord?"
His smile slowly grew the longer he admired her.
"Care to explain your choice of colors?"
Nicky lowered her eyes and pulled her hand from his grasp.
"I thought it was rather obvious why I did this." She took a deep breath before lifting her eyes back to his. "I did it for you, Jax."
Jackson felt his heart ache from the sweetness of this public declaration of hers. She couldn't have told the world they lived in that he alone had her love any better than if she'd gotten on stage and announced it. If it was anything Cordonian nobles paid more attention to, it was fashion statements. He noticed that most of the crowd was whispering and pointing towards them.
This was gossip he could easily live with. He knew he'd caused some at Colette's wedding when he'd made such of show of being Nicky's escort. But Nicky...now she'd made certain to end all speculation about their relationship.
Knowing they had an audience and not caring at all for once, Jackson took her back in his arms for a passionate kiss.
He heard the gasps of the crowd followed by squeals and whoops from their siblings and friends.
When Nicky gently cupped his cheek, he ignored all the commotion going on around them. He finally had the one he loved back where she belonged, where he intended to keep her from now on.
Right in his arms.

Since I am stuck on all the WIP's in my folder, I've decided to challenge myself by doing each of these kiss prompts in the hope that inspiration will strike and let me finish all that I have halfway written. Maybe focusing on something new will get my mind back on track. If anyone else wants to do this, tag me please in what you create. And as usual, if anyone has any pairings they would like to see me use for a particular prompt, feel free to let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I already have a few requests for some of these already: that being the lipstick marks one (Thomas Hunt x OC) , the masquerade kiss for (Jackson Nevrakis-Walker x Nicky Beaumont), and a kiss to make someone jealous (Ethan Ramsey x OC). All others are up for grabs though 😂 hopefully I'll have the first one posted this evening to start the thirty days off.

Right, At Last
(Jackson Nevrakis-Walker x Nicky (Nichole) Beaumont) in a Choices The Royal Romance* While We're Young AU drabble
Thirty Kisses in Thirty Days Challenge with the prompt: your lover going to walk away, but you grab them and pull them back in for a kiss before they go.
@krsnlove @hopelessromantic1352 @lodberg @twinkleallnight @tessa-liam @sirbeepsalot
A/N Thanks @twinkleallnight for requesting these two for this prompt. I think you were right. This definitely seems like something they would do 😉 For this short drabble I think I'll pick it up after the masquerade ball when Nicky wore the red dress.

The Cordonian Royal Palace, 4 a.m., guest chambers...
"We should have gone to my room." Nicky teased, stretching once more.
"Mine was closer." Jackson pressed another kiss to her lips. "I wasn't able to hold back long enough to make it five more doors down."
Her laughter was silenced by the heat of his next kiss.
"Jax." She moaned as his mouth moved down her neck. "I have to go."
"No, you don't." He argued.
"Yes, I do." She smiled softly when he lifted his head to frown at her.
"Nicky," he grumbled, "after everything that's happened, I think we're allowed to be caught, as you like to say, en déshabillé by servants and our families."
Honestly, he thought that everyone would be in more shock to find them in their separate rooms than together after how he'd reacted when he saw her at the ball earlier. He hadn't bothered to hide just how much in love he was with her.
"Jax!" She giggled over his deep, gravelly voice using such a term. "You might have no qualms being caught in such a way, but I would like to keep that small shadow of a doubt over just what we get up to when alone."
He groaned while fighting back a smile. He couldn't really be frustrated with her over something like this, not after all she'd done tonight to show just how much he meant to her. His gaze drifted over to the red dress that would end up being his favorite thing she'd ever worn. Jackson had been miserable for so long after their breakup, that this night of them truly being back together was one he didn't want to see come to an end.
Nicky eased out of his arms, pressing another lingering kiss to his lips.
His attention snapped back to her curvy form moving in the dim lights to get dressed. He relaxed back against the pillows to watch her. Everything she did made a warmth spread throughout his body.
There really is no one else who can make me feel like she does, he thought.
He'd certainly tried hard enough to find someone once Nicky left him. He was at first desperate to find a woman who could help him numb the pain in his heart. Then he simply searched for someone he could care for nearly as much as he did Nicky. Once that failed too, he finally settled for anyone who could make him feel anything. Each date was met with bitter disappointment.
Jackson felt at peace again. Everything in his life was right once more. His broken heart was finally back in working order. And the way he felt right now...
Nicky presented her back to him.
"Would you zip me up ple--"
Her breath caught when he slid his hands within the opening of her dress. His lips dotted kisses along the expanse of her back. Each one seemed more tender than the previous kiss.
"I really have to go." She mumbled halfheartedly.
He rested his forehead against her warm skin and tightened his arms around her. He didn't know if he would ever be ready to see her go again after what had happened once they made it through his bedroom door, even if it was to merely return to her own room to await the moment they could be together in a few hours.
Though there had always been a deeper passion when making love before things ended between them, now there was something more to it. Perhaps it was because they both truly understood what they had in the other. After going through months of being apart, all they missed and had once taken for granted was at last appreciated. Tonight, they savored every single moment of the other in their arms.
Jackson forced himself to sit up and zip her dress for her.
She smiled at him for doing so.
"I'll see you in a little while, Lord Jackson."
He got up, pulled his boxers back on, and walked her to the door.
"Good night, or good morning." She teased.
"Get some sleep, Lady Nichole." He pressed a kiss to the back of her hand. "I intend on monopolizing all your time today."
"You do?" Her smile grew bigger at the thought.
"And I intend to keep you to myself all night again too." He whispered.
"Then I should definitely get a nap." She opened the door and slipped out into the empty hallway.
Jackson still had her hand in his and yanked her back for one last kiss.
Nicky looped her arms around his waist, deepening the kiss.
They were both breathless once they pulled apart.
"I love you, Nicky." He whispered.
"I love you too, Jax." She eased away once more.
He watched her hurry barefooted down the hallway, pause at her door to blow him a kiss, then disappear within her room.
With what he suspected was a foolish grin on his face; Jackson returned to his bed, clutched the bed pillows that smelled like her, and fell into a peaceful sleep. His dreams that followed were the best he'd had in months. They were all of Nicky and the life he knew they would soon have together.

Love Drabble
Quid Pro Quo Pars Duo
(Jackson Nevrakis-Walker x Nichole "Nicky" Beaumont) in a look at what happened at Collette's wedding.
Tumblr media
A/N 🤣 well I'm easily swayed. When I saw @twinkleallnight 's comment that she would love to see what these two were doing at the wedding while Emerick and Juliet were joining up to avoid suitors, I wondered the same thing and even thought about maybe writing it while I was writing the previous drabble. 😂 And for @hopelessromantic1352 , I've added more Thomas for you. So once again, let's see if we can find a way to get these two back on the road to being a couple again.

Paris, France...
"Aren't you riding with us?" Olivia asked while following Juliet into the waiting car.
Jackson shook his head. "I'll meet you there."
She quirked an eyebrow at Drake.
He knew that look meant that he should press for more information.
"If you've found a way to miss this wedding," Drake instead said,'"then take me with you."
Olivia rolled her eyes in a huff.
Juliet leaned over her to yell out.
"If anyone shouldn't have to go to this ridiculous wedding, it's ME!" Her green eyes focused on her brother. "Please tell me you found a way out of this!"
"I haven't." Jackson replied with a grimace. He knew better than anyone how much his sister didn't want to be a part of this event. "Sorry, Jules. You know I would have told you if I had."
She slumped back into the carseat.
Olivia motioned for Drake to get in. "We'll see you there."
Drake patted his son's shoulder as he got in.
"Don't be late!" Juliet yelled out once more.
Jackson held a hand up in farewell as the car drove off.
Slipping his hands in his pockets, he headed towards the Beaumont's vila.
*************
"Hey Jax!" Izzy greeted, rushing down the steps.
"Bye Jax!" Emily added, following at her heels.
With giggles and chatter, they quickly got into a waiting car and got on their way to the church.
Jackson released a relieved sigh. He wasn't quite up to anyone questioning why he was coming over to the Beaumont's.
His trip to Los Angeles had gone better than he hoped. He and Nicky were able to be around one another without any pressure or arguing. As if by unspoken agreement, they steered clear of any talk about their infamous breakup and the reasons behind Nicky leaving him.
He wondered now if he was pushing his luck. They had been around none of the usual crowd those few days in Los Angeles. Now they would be attending an event that held the very people, the very pressures, their relationship used to be under.
Would it cause all the bitter feelings of their ending, memories of happier times, and reminders why they weren't in fact engaged by now or at the very least, happily in love to rise to the forefront of their minds?
No use worrying over it now, Jackson thought to himself.
He knocked on the door, hoping he wasn't about to do something that would end up hurting them both.
His eyes widened somewhat at the sight of Thomas Hunt opening the door.
"Jackson." The famous director eyed him before his frown eased. "I see you've been dragged into this wedding nonsense like everyone else."
"Yes, sir." Jax chuckled while stepping inside. "How'd you get stuck with going?"
Thomas softly smiled. "It is hard, as I'm sure you know, to say no to a lady's pleading." His lips eased even more. "Especially when she reminds you of all the times she came along as your plus one in the past."
"I heard that." Amanda playfully grumbled as she came down the stairs.
Jax braced himself. Fear of anger or coldness from her gripped him. He knew he shouldn't feel that way, especially since it was Nicky who had dumped him, but he worried about seeing her after all this time.
Amanda had been one of his favorite "aunts" growing up. Once he realized he was in love with Nicky, he realized why he adored Amanda as much as he did. She and Nicky shared so many traits, both physically and personality wise, he couldn't help but love her too.
Plus, he'd always assumed that she would one day be his mother-in-law.
His worry disappeared the moment she flashed her warm, delighted smile his way.
"Jax!" She walked up to kiss his cheek. Her eyes flitted over his face. "I swear you look just like Drake did at your age."
He chuckled, returning her hug. "That's what everyone says."
"And here I was hoping to be the first to think that." She winked at him. "Nicky should be down soon."
"Soon soon, or soon?" He teased.
She laughed. "Soon soon, I think."
She then turned her attention on Thomas. "Don't you look handsome?"
The gruff director snorted while tugging at his bowtie. "Of the two of us, I think you deserve the compliment." His eyes dropped down her blue lace dress. "Might want to change in case you upstage the bride."
She laughed, shaking her head. "I know that's not true and a rather clever ploy on your part to make us late for the wedding."
"Nonsense." Thomas replied. "I have no desire to be late." His lips eased into another smile. "I'm trying to get us out of going completely." He offered his arm to her. "Truthfully though, you do look quite lovely."
"That's what I told her." Nicky called out.
Jackson felt his heart stop the moment he saw her coming downstairs. The silk gown Nicky wore looked as if it had been designed with her in mind.
He'd always loved waiting on her at the bottom of a staircase. It gave him more time to admire her figure while feeling a great sense of pride that she'd chosen him as the man to escort her wherever they were going. His eyes were already falling into their old habit of traveling down her curves then catching glimpses of a long leg peeping out of a high slit.
He met her eyes when she paused on the next to the last step. How many times did he take it for granted that she used to do that so they would be the same height for a kiss.
She beamed at him. "You shaved!"
He rubbed his jaw. "This is a court event. One must be properly sheered for everyone to admire."
"As I recall, you weren't too concerned with that edict and neither were Uncle Liam and Aunt Riley." She teased.
He found himself smiling at her, simply enjoying that the same feeling he had seeing her again in Los Angeles had only grown stronger these last couple of months.
So far, it wasn't a fluke.
"We should go." Amanda whispered to Thomas.
She slipped her arm within the bend of his, tugging him quietly away from what she hoped was the beginning of their reconciliation.
Nicky looked up at their retreating forms.
"We'll meet you there!" She called out.
"See you soon." Amanda responded.
Once the door shut, Nicky let out a sigh.
"You okay?" Jackson asked.
"I am." She smiled at him. "It's been a busy day getting everyone dressed and all." She looked once more towards the empty entryway. "Emily and Izzy's laughter woke me up. Then Mom and Uncle Thomas were out on the terrace having breakfast and simply enjoying themselves." She sighed happily again. "It has been a perfect day."
Jackson felt that old need to take her in his arms and simply hold her. He knew from what she'd shared when he last saw her how much she needed her mother and sister to be back to how they once were. Hearing her say it was perfect simply in seeing them happy made him want to remind her how she'd made so many of his own days perfect by simply being there.
Right now, this day felt absolutely perfect.
She refocused on him. "You look quite dashing for this wedding." Her dimpled grin grew. "Is this in revenge for Colette or are you hoping to catch someone's eye."
He slipped his hands in his pockets and leaned against the banister. His signature smirk appeared on his handsome face as he met her hazel gaze.
"I think I already caught someone's eye." He winked at her making her laugh. "With how you look, I wouldn't mind having you on my arm for the rest of the night."
She playfully swatted him with her clutch once she took his arm. "Careful, or I'll tell Colette you're planning on objecting during the ceremony."
"Talk like that makes me think you have some Nevrakis blood in your veins." He shuddered, making her laugh again. "That's quite a threat."
She squeezed his arm close for a moment. "Don't worry. I kept you out of her clutches for years." She looked up at him, feeling a thrill over the smile he gave her. "One more night won't kill me."
*************
"Nicky!" Alec rushed down the steps of the church to sweep her into a big hug.
She hugged him tight before stepping back to admire his gray tux. "Let me see you." She motioned for him to turn around. "Just as I thought." She tapped her chin, eyes swimming with mirth. "Still devastatingly handsome."
"Don't even think about trying to distract me with compliments." Alec warned. "You were supposed to call me when you got to Paris."
"I know, I'm sorry. I was exhausted by the time we landed yesterday." She explained. "I slept sixteen hours."
"Oh." Alec stopped wagging his finger at her. "Then I suppose I can let you off this one time." He squeezed her into another hug. "But only if you tell me you're coming back to Cordonia for good soon."
Her smile dimmed some while glancing over at Jackson talking to some other nobles. "I think we will. It's been hard to bring it up to Mom and Emily. Everywhere we go, we'll end up thinking about Dad and I'm worried they'll become depressed again." She swallowed, wishing things had gone differently. "I know I'll hurt seeing our home and all the old places we used to go, all while knowing he won't be there with us. I don't know if I can take going through it again."
Alec wrapped his arm around her shoulders, squeezing her close like he always did whenever she was sad. He rested his head against hers for a moment, trying to find a way for his best friend and family he loved to be able to come home for good.
"Plus, I'm sure it would be a bother to Jax if I did return." She admitted. "I can just picture the press hounding him everywhere he went into how it felt for the lady who dumped him to return."
She had to fight back tears in thinking how he might end up hating her in the end. She couldn't risk losing these steps forward with him. She hoped that one day, they'd be standing on a church's steps like this because it was their wedding and that was why one of her best friends was hugging her.
"I guess this means I have to come see you then in California." Alec mumbled.
He noticed how down she looked and gently shook her.
"I should be getting all over you for what you did."
Her head jerked up, lips parted in shock.
He continued in a serious tone to tease her. "You've made me the one to keep Emerick and Jax in line." He lowered his head to hers. "You know that was supposed to be your job. I'm merely the getaway driver."
She burst into laughter.
Jackson smiled over at the two when he heard the sound then excused himself from the group he was talking to.
"What's so funny?" He asked, attempting to be causal as he pulled Nicky back beside him.
She automatically slipped her arm within the bend of his. Jackson placed his free hand over hers, smiling down at her.
Alec noticed the whole interaction and couldn't help but hope this was only a glimpse of the beginning of them finally being where they were supposed to be. He couldn't think of two people more perfect for one another than these two other than his own parents.
"I was reminding Nicky of our jobs." Alec replied with a wink at her.
"Jobs?" Jax repeated.
Nicky giggled some more. "Alec has had to deal with you and Emerick all on his own."
"I'd forgotten how much she helps when you two go off on adventures." Alec reminded him. "I think I've aged ten years since she left me alone with you two."
"Come on." Jax argued. "I'm nowhere near as much trouble as Emerick."
Nicky and Alec shared an amused look.
"I'm not!" He told them.
Nicky gently patted his hand. "Of course you aren't."
"Alec!" One of the groomsmen motioned for him to hurry back into the church.
"That's my cue." His earlier joy seeing his friends disappeared.
"We better go find our seats." Jax added.
"We'll look for you at the reception." Nicky promised as Jackson pulled her behind him.
"Can't wait." Alec's grin returned.
He couldn't wait to see them back as a couple.
*************
The two had originally planned to sit near either his parents or hers. Since they were running behind, they ended up slipping into the end of a pew in the middle of the sanctuary.
There was little space left. Nicky was squeezed up tight against Jackson's side to avoid crowding the other man next to her.
"Sorry." She whispered.
"No problem." He mumbled back.
Every time she turned to look about at the decorations and wedding party coming down the aisle, he would catch whiffs of her perfume. She seemed to not notice him shifting in his seat to keep her completely against his side.
He draped his arm along the back of the pew, fingers gently brushing her bare shoulders. He wished her hair was down so he could tease her by pulling at a lock during the drawn out ceremony.
He then noticed the tears in her eyes.
*************
Nicky was doing fine, even cheering in her mind each time Jackson moved to keep her close. When he draped his arm behind her, her nerves nearly sang feeling him touch her skin once more.
But then the couple began their vows to one another.
Her giddiness dissipated at the thought that this was all she wanted...all she'd ever wanted.
Her dream, even as a little girl, was to be married to Jax. To have to sit here and watch a couple who weren't even in love go through the very ceremony she longed for hurt worse than she expected.
It felt like her chance for happiness really was dead. Jackson probably did just want her as his date for revenge. Either that or use her as a shield against the other ladies who eyed him with lust for his body and/or his title.
She'd never have a wedding, at least not with him.
She should be grateful that he at least treated her as a beloved friend now instead of...
Her breath hitched the moment she felt his lips against her temple. His arm curved around her shoulders while he offered her his handkerchief.
She looked up at him.
His brow was furrowed in that familiar way whenever he saw her crying. She knew he couldn't stand to see her upset. He'd once told her he never felt as helpless as he did the moment he saw a tear fall down her cheek.
Could it be he still felt that way over her? That he could still love her after everything that happened between them? The fights and harsh words...had they left no lasting, irreparable damage upon their hearts?
He leaned down toward her face and pressed his forehead against hers. His nose brushed hers briefly, lips so close to her own.
"Don't cry." He pleaded in a whisper.
She sniffed and raised his handkerchief to dab under her eyes. The moment she began to pull away from him, he locked his arm in place around her.
She couldn't help but hope that this meant he would want to marry her some day.
**************
The two remained by the other's side for the whole reception. They laughed during observations of their siblings and friends. They danced only with each other, much to Collette's irritation. And shared a number of glasses of champagne off in secluded corners.
When it came time for the bouquet toss, Colette specifically called Nicky's name and those of Juliet, Emily, and Izzy to come to the front.
"I know you each need all the help you can get to find a husband."
She'd attempted to make her insult sound like a playful taunt, yet everyone who knew her caught the true meaning.
Juliet purposely folded her arms, determined to burn the bouquet if it even came close to her.
Emily rolled her eyes over the situation, firmly decided to relax and let other ladies from the court fight over it. She knew her sister and friends would all have much better spouses than what Colette ended up with.
Izzy was fuming with a smile on her face, just like her mother, Hana, taught her. She was having all kinds of revenge scenarios running in her mind for Colette to even think of insulting her friends. She would pick one and find a way to get back at the young lady for daring to cross those she adored.
Nicky, though wanting to slap Colette over so many things she'd done to her through the years, managed to remain calm and collected.
Before she could blink, the bouquet was coming directly towards her.
Without much thought, Nicky caught the bouquet of white lilies and roses.
Colette burst into raucous laughter.
"Lady Nicky!" She doubled over, making certain every eye was on her. "Let's hope you can catch a husband as easily as you did the bouquet."
Chuckles and murmurs came from all over the banquet hall.
Those closest to Nicky were decidedly not laughing. Their stoney, bored expressions let the entire room know their feelings.
Thomas had to grip Amanda's hand under the table to keep her from getting up and saving her daughter from Colette. Her hazel eyes had darkened with her anger.
Drake kept a grip on Olivia's shoulder keeping her still. Rashad eased back when he noticed Hana trembling with rage. Riley ignored Liam's whisper to calm down, deciding to let those close to their table know how gauche the Queen of Cordonia found Collette's behavior.
Alec, Emerick, and Ellis all had fists clenched ready to jump in if Nicky needed them.
Emily had tears in her eyes, wishing that her sister wasn't being humiliated in such a way. She was ready to scream to everyone that laughed how wonderful and lucky some man would be to win Nicky's heart. She wished Scott Caulfield was here, showing the world that Hollywood's newest sex symbol was completely enamored with Nicky.
Izzy had already decided on which forms of vengeance she'd enact on Colette. Now she could add some more for doing this to their Nicky.
Juliet already had her lips parted, ready to launch into a verbal onslaught these pampered nobles never knew was possible.
But then...
Jackson stepped up and took Nicky's hand. In front of all of them; he lifted it to his lips for a lingering kiss and managed to have that shy hopeful smile on his face.
"I hope I know the lucky man." He said loud enough for everyone to hear.
Mutterings and whispers exploded over the hint that he would be the one she chose to marry.
Nicky blinked at him, unsure what to say.
He tucked her hand in the bend of his arm and led her out of the hall.
**************
"Give me a minute." Nicky pleaded once they went down a part of the mansion closed off for the party.
Before Jackson could react, she dashed into a nearby room and shut the door.
She fumbled in the dark for a lamp then leaned against a desk. Her breaths came in and out in broken gasps as she relived the humiliating moment over and over.
I shouldn't have come, she thought. To face everyone again after so little time and with Jax! I want to go home. I don't want to be here or with anyone ever again. Why did I think--
Jackson slipped inside and shut the door.
Nicky whirled around in surprise, bracing herself against a desk. In the shadowed light, Jackson's face looked harsher than usual. His dark eyes held her immobile as his hands clenched into fists.
She didn't know what to do anymore as she stared at him. All her hopes and dreams seemed so foolish now. It was pointless. All she was trying to do was completely pointless.
With a curse over seeing her upset once more, Jax crossed the room and yanked her in his arms. His lips captured any words she was about to say in a deep, desperate kiss.
Nicky hung limp for two heartbeats before she wrapped her arms around his neck. She eagerly responded to every touch of his lips and tongue against hers. She felt like she was coming back into the warm light after months of cold, bitter darkness.
The feel of Jackson holding her like he once did didn't feel old or dull. Her body reacted as if they had never kissed or touched before this very moment. The butterflies and heart racing was just as strong or if not stronger than before.
His hands splayed on her bare back, attempting to press her even closer.
He felt his senses come alive for the first time in months with the passion and tenderness of her response.
He'd wondered if they ever got around to kissing again if it would be comfortable and nothing new. He knew now that it was an all new excitement thrumming through his veins over being reunited with her once more.
Their breaths echoed in the room when they ended the kiss. They held tight to the other while searching for signs of regret or repulsion.
They knew they should probably talk about whether or not this was a moment of weakness, too much champagne, or simply because they couldn't imagine being with anyone else.
All they wanted to do was wallow in the wonder of their kiss and see if it was as good as if felt. They both leaned in for another.
And another...
And another...
And another...

(Jackson Nevrakis-Walker x Nichole "Nicky" Beaumont) taken from the TRR AU While We're Young
A/N I haven't written for this pair in a long time and to be honest, I've missed them. The below song inspired this idea of mine and I decided to link it to this drabble . This takes place right before Collette's wedding in Paris.

"Hello?" Nicky hit the speaker button while she finished hanging costumes back in their places.
"Hey!" Her sister, Emily, greeted. "I won't be able to go out tonight."
"How come?"
"Jules and Izzy flew in to surprise me!" Emily responded excitedly.
Nicky smiled at hearing her little sister sound more like her old self. Ever since the death of their father, Emily Beaumont had become more withdrawn.
Being in Hollywood these last couple of months had helped the Beaumont sisters and their mother come to terms with losing Maxwell.
It had also helped Nicky get over breaking things off with her true love.
Of course, Jackson probably wasn't that anymore.
At least, it seemed that way. She certainly hadn't heard from him since her father died. She thought perhaps he would want to get back with her after the days of holding her while she cried.
Nobody could comfort her like Jax.
"You can come with us!" Emily quickly spoke up. "Or do you want to make plans with Scott?"
"Scott is shooting on location this week." Nicky explained. "It's been a long day so I think I'll just stay in for the night."
"You sure?" Emily asked. "We Beaumont's have to stick together."
Nicky grinned. "I'm sure, Em. Give my love to Jules and Izzy."
"I will!" Emily hesitated. "Um, they didn't come alone."
Nicky set her phone down while reaching for some boxes on a high shelf. "Did Alec come to?"
The thought of seeing one of her best friends made her rethink her relaxation plans.
"No, but, um," Emily took a deep breath, "Jax tagged along."
A box filled with hats slipped through Nicky's fingers, struck her head, and tumbled to the floor.
"Nicky!" Emily cried when she heard the commotion. "Are you okay?!"
"Yeah." Nicky rubbed her head. "The Bridgerton clumsiness struck again."
"Oh." Emily replied.
Both girls knew it wasn't their mother's genes that caused that mishap. It all centered upon the heir to the Lythikos duchy.
"Did the girls say why Jax decided to come here?" Nicky frowned somewhat.
The man she knew preferred to remain in Cordonia when not forced to travel for his duties for the Crown. And if he did wish to travel, he typically went to national parks for camping and whatnot.
Not to crowded cities like Los Angeles.
"Jules didn't say." Emily replied. "You want me to ask?"
Nicky bit down on her lip. It wasn't her business anymore to know why Jackson did anything.
"No. I was just curious." Nicky finished picking up the stray hats. "Go out and have a good time for me."
"Will do." Emily promissd, her joy returning.
Nicky watched her screen dim after the call ended.
Perhaps...no...maybe...
Her fingers clearly had a mind of their own as she went to her contacts. The face that she thought the handsomest popped up with a shy smile gracing his lips.
Her fingers hovered over the call button. She then let her hand fall to her side.
She cleared her screen then gathered her things together to go home.
******************
"Mom!" Nicky yelled as she walked through the house the Beaumont ladies were renting. "I'm home!"
"In here!" Her mother called out from the kitchen.
"You won't believe the day I had." Nicky paused when she got to the kitchen door.
Her smile grew wide to see Thomas Hunt there.
"Uncle Thomas!" She went over and gave him a brief hug.
He chuckled softly over the uncle part both Emily and Nicky insisted on referring to him.
Nicky couldn't help but be thrilled he was back over, visiting with her mother. He'd been a huge help to them when they decided to put some distance between them and Cordonia after Nicky's infamous breakup with Jackson and Maxwell's death. He'd found their California home, took care of all the arrangements, and made certain to get Nicky working with Addison Sinclaire.
Thomas also had a way of giving their mother what she needed while grieving. Their friendship through the years allowed him to know when to push her into going out and getting her mind off of losing her husband. He also knew when to simply allow her to cry and vent the unfairness of it all.
He'd somehow become her mom's new source of comfort.
"Help me, Nichole." Thomas insisted. "Amanda insists that I have to go to a faculty dinner tonight."
"It is in your honor." Amanda teased.
"You're being honored?" Nicky asked.
"When you get to be my age, people quickly throw dinners and awards at you because they assume you are at death's door." He grumbled. "And your mother believes I should accept every single one of them."
Amanda rolled her eyes at her daughter. "You know I'm right."
"I think you should go." Nicky giggled when he groaned.
He eyed Amanda. "If I have to go, then you have to also."
Amanda looked up in surprise. "Me? Why do I have to?"
"Because you are forcing me." He proclaimed. "And misery loves company."
His frown eased when both ladies burst out laughing.
"Fine." Amanda sighed. "The girls were going out anyway. "
Nicky bit back that she was staying behind tonight.
She watched with a dimpled grin as the two discussed how long it would take to get ready.
"I'll be back here by seven thirty." Thomas told her on his way out. "No need to go full out formal dress wise. This is supposed to be a quiet dinner." He snorted while shaking his head. "Which with many of the teachers there, it is bound to be dull."
Nicky laughed while following him to shut the door. Checking to make sure her mother was nowhere near to overhear them, she reached out and grasped Thomas's hand.
"Thank you." She whispered. "For getting her not only to laugh again but to also get back out and do normal things."
Thomas's lips softened into a smile.
"If there is anything you, Emily, or Amanda need; all you have to do is let me know."
She nodded, fighting back tears. It had been so hard to find their way back to being their old selves. She knew it would never be how it was with her father gone, but these glimpses of her mother and sister returning to their usual optimistic, laughing selves made her continue to hope that they would all find a new happiness.
Thomas squeezed her hand and left.
**************
After a quick shower of her own, Nicky put on her favorite pajama pants, an old t-shirt of Jackson's she couldn't quite make herself get rid of, and settled in for a quiet night alone.
After flipping channels and finding nothing to catch her interest, she began to scroll through possible delivery options for dinner.
No sooner than she'd finally settled on Asian cuisine, her phone lit up with Jackson's picture.
With eyes wide she answered the call.
"Hello?"
"Hey Nicky." His deep voice replied.
Her nerves felt like they were on edge. She hadn't heard from him in months.
"Hey Jax." She couldn't help but smile. "How are you?"
"Not bad." He responded, sounding a little more comfortable. "You?"
"Can't complain."
She felt giddy hearing his chuckle.
"You rarely do." He cleared his throat. "I um, I'm in Los Angeles. I flew in with the girls."
"Em told me that." Nicky laughed. "Of all the places you could travel to, why would you pick a bustling city?"
He snorted softly. "You know me. I can't resist a crowd."
She giggled, feeling like her old self once more. It felt so good to be able to talk to him without arguing or crying.
"Anyway, enough about my annoyance with too many people around." Jackson coughed. "You have any plans for dinner?"
"No. I was thinking of ordering out. Mom went to some kind of award's dinner with Uncle Thomas. So, without her and Emily insisting we order Mexican, I was thinking of ordering from this Japanese restaurant I've fallen in love with."
"That actually doesn't sound bad." He paused. "You want to meet me there? For dinner?"
Nicky bit down on her bottom lip to keep from smiling even more. This brought back so many memories from when they were crushing on each other as teenagers and hadn't quite defined that they were a couple. Jackson would usually ask what she wanted for dinner, then remarked it sounded good, and finally found a way to make it just the two of them together sharing it.
"I'd like that." She checked the time. "Give me about twenty minutes to get ready--"
"Only twenty?" He chuckled again. "Okay, where's the real Nicky Beaumont and what have you done to her?"
She burst out laughing. "Hey now. I'll have you know I can get ready faster than I normally do."
"Uh huh." He teased. "I've heard that theory but have yet to see it come about "
She shook her head, laughing even more. "Fine. You caught me. I've already had a shower."
"There we go. Good to know you haven't been swapped out for some lesser clone or something."
"Ha ha." Nicky quipped back. "You never complained once you saw the finished product."
"True." His voice deepened. "You always made the wait worth it."
Her heart skipped a beat.
He cleared his throat. "Send me the directions to the restaurant and I'll see you soon."
After saying goodbye, she allowed herself one giddy squeal. Bounding up the stairs, she couldn't help but be excited over seeing if she and Jackson could possibly find their way back to each other.
She then felt a slight pang of guilt. For the last month she'd been kinda seeing a young, up and coming actor.
Scott Caulfield.
He was handsome, charming, everything a young woman would desire. He looked nothing like Jackson. He was blonde instead of that rich brown hair with red highlights. He had light green eyes instead of the velvety chocolate of her former love. And he thoroughly enjoyed the city night life.
Nothing at all like her sneak away from a crowd loving ex.
She and Scott had not made anything official between them. So she argued to herself that she could go out for a friendly dinner with an old friend.
Even if that old friend still gave her butterflies with a single look.
Determined not to think too much about it, Nicky hurried to look her absolute best without appearing to have tried too hard.
**************
Jackson checked the time again as he waited outside the restaurant. He couldn't help but feel nervous. He'd always felt a little less confident whenever it concerned Nicky.
He couldn't remember a time in his life when he didn't love her. His frown eased some as he recalled her teasing him when they were a couple that he was hers the moment they were two years old and he'd taken her hand to pull her over to play with him instead of Emerick and Alec.
He'd loved her throughout all their awkward phases. They'd been each other's first kiss. They'd been each other's first lover. She'd been the only woman he'd ever admitted he loved.
These last few months of not having her near had been hard. He'd tried to move on once she left, dating a few woman. He'd steered clear of all brunettes knowing they would only pale in comparison to Nicky. He'd also tried to find some that didn't laugh as much nor were into dancing the night away.
She was the only one who made dancing at balls and such pleasurable. There were many nights where he'd willingly stayed out on the dance floor, or simply sat and watched her, completely content in doing so.
Her optimism and sweetness should have clashed with his inherited snark and more jaded view of the world. But with her, he always felt the hope she seemed to have that everything would always work out well in the end.
He missed that. He missed her. She'd always felt like his other half.
Their breakup was quite possibly the worst moment of his life. He never thought of his life without her by his side. He knew he could survive it, and clearly he was.
But...
"Jax!"
He turned at the sound of her voice.
They both broke into smiles as they met each other half way.
Uncertainty hung between them as they wondered how they should greet one another.
Nicky made the first move, throwing her arms around him for a hug.
He hugged her back, making her laugh when he lifted her off the ground.
She looked up at his handsome face and felt that old familiar comfort his presence alone gave her.
"You're late, Lady Beaumont." He teased.
She playfully smacked his arm. "So it took me thirty--
"Forty-five." He corrected with a smirk.
She giggled and slipped her arm through his. "I think you survived the wait, m'lord."
"I'm weak with hunger." He sagged against her, grinning when she squealed at having to support him. "You know I can't go that long without eating something."
"Get in there." She pushed him towards the door.
He opened it for her, bowing his head towards her. "After you, m'lady."
She cocked her head in what he knew would one day be her proud duchess way, and briefly nodded her thanks. She ruined the effect with an adorable, dimpled grin which made him smile all the more.
He was thankful to see she was still the same old Nichole Beaumont he'd known his entire life.
***************
"So what did Emerick do?" Nicky asked, reaching for another pot sticker.
"He somehow charmed the doorman into giving him his pants so that he could make his escape." Jackson replied.
Nicky choked on her laughter, tears coming to her eyes at the thought of one of her best friends running from a lady in one of Cordonia's most exclusive hotels.
"He left that part of the story out when he called me." She said between giggles.
"Alec was out of town, so it was left up to me to rescue him." Jackson shook his head. "I made him wait longer than he should have." He winked at her. "Just to scare him."
She laughed even more.
Their conversations about their loved ones got them through the rest of dinner and on into dessert. They were both lingering as long as they could over their drinks, simply enjoying being near one another again.
"So?" He leaned forward. "You going to Collette's wedding?"
She nodded. "Em got roped into being a bridesmaid. We have to go and support her and Izzy and Jules."
"Alec was forced to say yes to be a groomsmen yesterday."
"No!" Nicky exclaimed. "My poor Alec."
"He's too nice." Jackson added.
"He's Aunt Hana." Nicky reminded him. "Like mother, like son. They both can't say no."
"Luckily, Izzy has a bit more backbone like Uncle Rashad." He said. "But, seeing Jules and Em stuck, she couldn't abandon them."
"You lucked out." She pointed out.
"Yes, I did." He smirked. "But then again, I would have said, no way in hell."
"Jax!" She giggled.
He smiled taking a sip of his drink.
"You know, I think I know why you weren't asked to be a part of the wedding party."
"And why's that?"
Nicky rolled her eyes as she felt that old familiar jealousy that he'd managed to infuse her with.
"Because Collette was always hitting on you."
He laughed. "No, she wasn't."
"Yes, she was!" Nicky pointed at him. "Jax, don't you remember all the times she demanded you share some of your dances with the other ladies of the court?"
He shrugged. "I didn't pay any attention."
"And she tried to break us up so many times!" Nicky was getting angrier by the second. "She--"
Her words died the moment Jackson took her hand in his. Their fingers laced together without any thought.
"There's nothing she could have said that would have made me doubt you." He told her. "I never paid attention to her rumors that you preferred Emerick and was only dating me until he was ready to choose his princess."
Nicky's thumb rubbed soothing circles over his skin.
"I know." She huffed. "She's still a jerk."
"Now that, I can agree to." He waved their waiter over for another refill.
Their hands remained clasped as they looked out the window at the city's lights.
"How about you and I join forces at the wedding?" He turned towards her. "If you don't plan on bringing a date."
"Join forces in what way?"
"Well, we both can't stand her." He explained. "It would drive her crazy if we stuck together and had a good time." He squeezed her hand. "A little revenge on her special day."
Nicky laughed again. "Your Nevrakis genes are showing again."
He chuckled. "I'm pretty tame compared to Mom and Jules when it comes to revenge plots."
She lowered her eyes. "So what you're saying is, we be each other's dates for the wedding?"
He kept his eyes on their hands. "Well, yeah. I mean, if you don't have anyone else you want to bring."
She looked up at him. "You don't have someone you want as your plus one?"
His eyes raised to hers. A tense silence hung between them.
"No." He simply replied.
Nicky felt her heart race.
"I don't either."
His shoulders relaxed as if he'd prepared for a gut punch.
"Then we'll go together." He mumbled. His cheeks flushed. "For revenge purposes of course."
She squeezed his hand knowing what he really meant and how it made her heart soar. "Of course."

Is there something your MC and li can never agree on? If yes, what is it?
😂 Oh no. I have too many pairings for this 🤣. Let's see if I can do the ones I write mostly for.
Here we go:
In The Royal Romance: Here's my head cannons for each pair I have written for.
For Riley and Liam: I think Riley would disagree with Liam that they have to continuously go and take part in nobles both in Cordonia and abroad who are practically enemies. Yes, she would see the need to maintain peace, but for those who refuse to work with them or are mean and selfish, she'd see no point in attempting to get their support. Liam of course is the one to give unlimited chances to these individuals and sees it as part of his duty to the crown.
Drake and Olivia: These two will disagree on anything simply because they love to argue with one another 🤣
Rashad and Hana: In my head cannons, Rashad does not understand how Hana can keep doubting herself. Hana doesn't understand how he could possibly think she is perfect at everything. He also disagrees with her believing she must continue to be around her mom when she clearly makes her stressed and unhappy. I think their arguments, though typically sweet, are centered around these issues.
For Maxwell (who now has three love interests, LoL)
X Nadia Park from Perfect Match: I think these two rarely argue. She thinks he's the sweetest and he thinks the same about her. Their arguments would be more playful than actual disagreeing. Both think the other had the best ideas.
X OC*Amanda. My first LI for him who then ended up being better with Thomas Hunt 🤣 Their fights typically centered around jealousy. Since neither can quite accept the fact the other is truly in love with them, they struggle with their insecurities.
X OC* Sherry: 😂 This OC I made for him in my Dark AU might be my favorite one yet and will probably be transitioning into my other non supernatural AU's. Their disagreements centered on Maxwell not accepting that they were fated to be together and in terms of keeping the other safe. I head cannon that both rush into situations with little thought of whether or not they should and it causes the other panic which then results in a fight.
For the WWY AU (TRR Pairs' Grown Children)
Nicky Beaumont x Jackson Nevrakis-Walker: They disagree about their future. Both know they want to be together forever, yet Nicky wants to move forward and go ahead and be married with a family. Jackson doesn't see the need to hurry. He's happy living in the moment while she's happier making plans.
Ellis Rhys x Emily Beaumont: Their friendship turned romance is a favorite of mine. I love that trope 😂 Emily isn't afraid to try new things and go on crazy adventures. Ellis follows her but would much rather stay back and stick to the normal, everyday life they have.
Emerick Rhys x Juliet Nevrakis-Walker: Both have a temper, though Juliet's is quicker. They disagree often on how their relationship (which is all for show at the moment 😉) is portrayed to the public. Juliet worries as people continue to believe the deception and is afraid they won't be able to easily end it. Emerick's confidence that all will work out well grates on her frazzled nerves. His frustrations with her stubbornness and throwing up his romantic past with other ladies causes the two to lash out from time to time.
*******
In Red Carpet Diaries
Thomas Hunt x OC*Amanda: Their arguments center around jealousy and in the other's innate stubbornness. They disagree with how to handle his popularity as a famous Hollywood director and her duties as a duchess from Cordonia. Both just want to spend time together away from the pressures their life throws at them, yet it ends up making them argue and disagree on how to or if they should say no to the demands on their time.
Matt x Addison: These two are like my RCD version of Rashad and Hana. Both think the other is the sweetest and rarely disagree. I think Matt would mention he thinks she should maybe not get involved so much in their friends' love lives. Addison disagrees and continues to try and push the pairs she thinks should be together.
Ryan x Holly: My closest to having another Drake and Olivia 🤣 Holly loves to disagree with Ryan, which frustrates him beyond measure. He believes his charm is enough to get through any situation. Holly just can't let that happen.
**********
For Bloodbound:
Jax x MC*Alex: They disagree over who should take point in either a fight or unknown situation. Each one can't stand the thought of the other possibly getting hurt or losing the one they love.
*********
Open Heart
Bryce x MC*Chris They disagree over time spent with his family. Chris is all about making peace and moving on. She thinks that means spending more holidays and talking to them on a regular basis. Bryce might forgive his parents, but he doesn't believe that means he has to spend as much time as he can with them in order to maintain that peace.
Tobias x MC* Chris: I've just started delving into them being together so I haven't quite figured out what they will disagree over. I'm planning on writing more for them so we will see what comes about 😉

Reconnecting

Ugh I’m so weak for a protective man 😩 I LOVE THESE TWO!!!!
And Thomas 😩 why is he so perfect even in such a small role.

Her breaths came in and out in broken gasps as she relieved the humiliating moment over and over.
