I wouldn't quite word it that way, but I will say even if Goby smiles a lot, he's done a lot of things he kind of regrets...

Thyme I'd say!! He's the main character of Unavailing Divinity, so it makes sense. Learning to let people into your life while still taking a stand for yourself isn't easy to do, but he manages to make it through anyways.

🍿: Which of your characters has the most dramatic stuff happen to them?

Hmmm.... maybe Marina and Yvette? (They're the siren and elf from the collection above, second-to-last picture) Marina's a pirate captain who got turned into a werewolf, Yvette's the siren that keeps running into her, they get into a LOT of dramatic moments. Kinda comes with adventuring out at sea with mythical creatures while on the run from the law. It gets pretty gay!!

Watching Steven Universe really has me going sometimes the vibe really is feeling like an alien outside observer who decided humanity is the most fascinating and beautiful thing that you made yourself the biggest cheerleader of every beautiful moment and watching Doctor Who has me going sometimes the vibe really is you stand up for what’s right is because you really do see the absolute best in everyone despite their innate flaws and despite the suffering you’ve endured and being a human being has me going sometimes the vibe really is maybe all the wonderful things I observe in others are available to me too because even though it feels like it sometimes I’m not an outside alien observer and my brand of suffering isn’t unique and I have every right to believe that all the beautiful things in this world are available for me too and I feel so so alive.

a first date outfit

So I'm going with a few outfit ideas based on the level of formality because I want to lol!

Casual first date:

Jasmine favors more form-fitting clothing, like pencil skirts, cigarette pants, etc, as opposed to the looser fit inspired by Dior's bar suit. She can be thought of as the typical "sweater girl". While she wears the popular Dior style to maintain a fashionable look, she prefers the slender cut of clothing that fits to the body well. She feels it makes her more appealing, especially in making a first impression on someone. Pairing this often with some type of heeled shoe, despite the inches these add to her already statuesque five foot eight figure, she enjoys the overall shape created when adding a bit of heel to her look. Even in a potato sack, she is a total knock-out, so it doesn't take too much effort on her part to appear lovely.

Like a lot of people during that time period of fashion, she coordinates her clothing and accessories, such as matching her nail polish and lipstick, and has a weakness for red, pink, flowers, bows, lace, and silk. She is almost always wearing a pair of matching gloves with her outfits, and she replicates many intricate hairstyles of the day with decorative hats and other hair accessories.

Formal first date:

Formalwear for Jasmine is the time to make a show with her look- for a formal date, like any event, she'd want to be a real showstopper, a glimmering dreamgirl that captures the eye and enchants the observer. She favors reds, golds, whites, light blues, diamonds, sapphires, rubies, mink furs, and opera gloves with fine, sparkling bracelets. Jasmine Jolene takes a lot of pride in how she dresses, and the longer it takes her to decide on a look usually implies an important encounter for her.

From The Choirgirl Hotel-the mighty mountain of Tori records, in that it’s definitely a “place,” you really can imagine them all hanging out by the pool, or the bar, or dialing for room service. I remember listening to this record all the way through in Salida after my first girlfriend dumped me via email. The girls swept me away to a safe place of sonic rivers, valleys, moors where I could dig through what happened on my own terms. All of Tori’s songs are like bodyguards, aren’t they? They stand guard while we go through our shit, so that we can just go through it and no one can distract us or make us feel worse. And they’re always evolving along with us and are lifelong friendships. In Pele, we rise from the ashes, and in Choirgirl, we rise from the rushing river and climb from the ravine and there’s beauty in the mirror of loss. She shows us that loss and mourning isn’t just one thing or one emotion, that it’s a moving tapestry like Van Gogh’s sky. The water imagery throughout, from Liquid Diamonds, Pandora’s Aquarium, the Spark video is a part of the tears, disappointment, the waves of feeling and not feeling, and the drowning that often feels inevitable during the deep dive of trauma, gasping for air and grasping for a way forward. Thank you for 25 years of immersion and revelation, here’s to 25+ more and more!!
