🌽 - Have you ever gotten lost in a corn maze?

"Yeah. Not really my proudest moment. They set up one in town earlier in the fall and I figured it might be alright to check it out, couldn't be that hard, right? I was wrong. Ended up getting freaked out and making a break for it, like I was in some kinda horror movie. Won't be doing that again."

🎥 - Do you enjoy scary movies? If so, what is your favorite one? If not, what genre of movie do you prefer instead?

"They're okay, I guess. They wouldn't be my go-to choice. I like the classics, like Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream. Used to watch them with my friends when we were kids, so that's probably down to nostalgia. Honestly, I'm more of a rom-com guy. Anything with Sandy Bullock or Meg Ryan. They never get old."

yo im meeting jack at vidcon this year and im super excited because ive been watching his videos for close to 8 years now but i have no idea what to say or what pose to do or anything, any advice?

Oof meeting someone you look up to / like can be hard at times but the best advice I could give is to act chill? Like don’t be overly-excited and just go off n’ hug them w/o asking. Mainly stating this bc I know some people go to the extremes and even cry and yell sometimes n’ i’ve heard youtubers can be really overwhelmed from those sorta responses–If it’s a meet-n-greet sorta thing just introduce yourself and tell him that you’ve been following his videos for a long time and that you’re really excited to finally meet him!! He should probably be glad w/ even that. Try to make small talk and or ask him stuff or advice you wanna know from him! The autograph or selfie or w/e depends on the situation n’ if the place where y’all be at accept it etc!But hope ya have a great time at Vidcon though! Hope everything goes well!!

Basic information: Jack is 5”10 loud mouth asshole who has shave head that he dyes flames on it. He floats around and wears red and blue tinted sunglasses because he has sensory issues. He autistic and he has an anxiety disorder that causes ticks! His fingers and feet are black ashes and as he walked are little flames. He loves to sit and watch the flowers but he can’t touch them or it burns. He also really loves skating even if he floats. He really enjoys the color black and red and he often only wears things with flames.

😱 - Are you a thrill-seeker? Do you enjoy being scared? Or do you prefer to scare others?

"I don't really see the appeal of either. Why would you wanna be all freaked out or freak someone else out? I mean, I kind of like some horror movies, and I don't mind haunted houses and stuff, but I guess I don't find them all that scary. Wouldn't call myself a 'thrill-seeker' though."

(This is, perhaps in part, due to the fact that Jack spends 90% of his waking moments engulfed in anxiety anyway, thus adding to that stress does not particularly appeal to him).

🍰 - What is your go-to sweet treat in the fall?

"Uh, well, back home there's this shop on the corner that's sells baked apple cider donuts. They've got like cinnamon sugar on them or something. Pretty addictive. On Fridays I used to get them on the way back home for me and my- um. Yeah. They're pretty awesome. Haven't had them in a while though."

🍂 - What is your personal favorite fall tradition?

"Oh, clearing out the yard for sure. It's the best time of year for tidying up borders and planting fresh hedges, you know? And I like harvesting the pumpkin patch around Halloween. They're giving me a bit of grief this year. Most of them should pull through though. I use them to make soup, sometimes I sell 'em too."

"I don't really associate specific songs with fall, but I guess I do listen to a lot of The Tragically Hip around this time of year. Long Time Running's good for it. Nick Cave has some pretty killer tracks too. Ever listened to Where The Wild Roses Grow?"

🎃 - Have you ever carved a pumpkin? If so, what is your favorite design that you have ever done?

"I used to carve them as a kid." And with his wife too, though he'll keep this particular detail to himself. "I think one Halloween when I was about ten I did a pretty sweet ghost design, but it wasn't anything artsy."

"I guess haunted houses are okay, so long as it's not one of those weird ones where the actors chase you or whatever. That shit's not cool." He pauses, thinking for a moment before continuing with a frown. "Never got the appeal of hayrides. Why would you wanna sit awkwardly around a bunch of strangers making small talk with a bunch of sticks poking you in the ass?"
