One thing I don’t think the Fourth Wing fandom seems to acknowledge or appreciate enough is just how quickly Sawyer is willing to kill anyone who slights Violet

I love Professor Emetterio so much and I'll share all the interactions with him that I absolutely love:

Also, considering that Emetterio can't humanly memorize every cadet's abilities on the mat he must have a mental list of "skilled and dangerous cadets" and it seems our girl Violet is on the list bc his words kinda sound like a concealed compliment.

Respectful. Even if he just wanted to check on her health after the assassination attempt, the guy has common sense to ask for permission.

I smiled at this. I could picture him dropping the clipboard like "Omg, my favorite student almost died :O". Also, I am sure he was a bit distressed because Violet was bloodied, with a concussion and yet refused to seek medical help.

I headcannon he knows she was poisoning her opponents and after witnessing the challenge with Jack Barlowe, Emetterio was like "the girl is a fucking menace, I like her"

I can picture Emetterio trying not to sigh in annoyance because It's the second time a wingleader challenges Violet, disturbing the careful class of challenges he had planned. It's like when a student interrupts class to tell a story nobody asked for and won't shut the fuck up.

Both of his favorite students are Violet and Xaden and my heart can't take it!!!!!! I headcannon he could identify the power couple before anyone else did :) Teachers do that all the time, we even bet on which students are dating or will date, because our lives are miserable but we do love a gossip

Him asking for Violet when she disappeared while being tortued by Varrish :( He could just ignore and not care, her disappearance does not cause him problems but he - and Devera - asked for her. No other professors did and it makes sense why Devera and Emetterio end up joining the revolution, those two have a level of human care for their students in a college that treats them subhumanly.

Tired teacher trying -and not being sucessful - to stop his student from doing something reckless.

Not an interaction but stil! I know that Xaden probably meant Emetterio is teaching all the cadets, BUT I personally like to think he is giving Violet more attention on this aspect considering she is most likely to be pulled into service earlier than any cadet would - considering her signet and also the mating bond.
