A barchie fanfic beacuse of the lack of Betty and Archie in season 5. I wish we got some real in depth of what was going inside Archie's head and to me it was unrealistic that he wouldn't be there for Betty during the Polly thing as this is his best friend of over 22 years.

I would love a drabble of Betty and Tabitha being pregnant with their daughters together! Tabetty forever.

Betty adored her friendship with Tabitha for many reasons but never dreamed they would end up expecting daughters with due dates only a week apart.

Since it was Betty’s last baby, and Tabitha’s first, the two women soaked in every unexpected moment of shared joy and anticipation. Tabitha went to Betty for advice on everything from developing symptoms to buying the right stroller; Betty told her friend everything in turn as she processed the arrival of her fourth surprise baby after loss.

Some afternoons, Tabitha would go to Betty’s after work and talk to her about everything as they drank tea and watched the Andrews kids play in the backyard. Other mornings, Betty would stop by Pop’s on her way to an appointment or work commitments to have a cup of decaf coffee and get things off her brain. While sipping her warm mug behind the counter, Betty loved watching Tabitha buzz around refilling everyone’s cups and taking orders with her petite bump underneath her yellow skirt.

When springtime arrived, both women quickly approached the arrival of their little ones. They would spend many afternoons talking on the back porch and going for walks in the neighborhood. They joked about racing to see which baby came first and laughed that their daughters were already besties as they often kicked around the same time.

Archie and Jughead had their own new dynamic as a result of their wives friendship. Jughead told Archie all his fears about becoming a parent; Archie enjoyed having a reason to be close to his old pal for the first time in a few years. Archie could barely fathom the idea of Jughead being a dad to a little girl but couldn’t imagine anything more perfect to humble him and open his heart.

When the little girls were born—Eliza Joy Andrews came a little less than two weeks before Tate Jones—they immediately introduced the babies, though they slept through their entire first meeting. But just as their mothers hoped, the two girls grew up as the best of friends. You never saw one without the other. Betty and Tabitha often said their friendship, which remained as sweet and solid as ever as their kids grew, spilled over to their girls in a beautiful way.

Summary: Tabitha manages to bring everyone back to the present with all of their memories and Jughead realizes he has to make a choice now that he remembers his relationship with Tabitha. Does he go back to his life with Tabitha, or does he continue the one he started with Veronica?

Too long don’t want to read, it’s sad and Jughead just wants some time to gather himself but I don’t want to write that so because I love poly ships basically Jughead, Tabitha, and Veronica’s solution to this whole thing would to become a throuple thank you that is all <3

maybe it was @circlemidnight who predicted that Veronica was gonna leave town, ignoring Jughead when they come back to the present? i can't stop thinking about this scenario:

Jughead and Veronica holding hands as they jump back to the present, and everyone finds themselves in front of Pop's, confused, back in their present body and outfits, and Tabitha is there at the entrance, and Jughead immediately runs to her, not even looking at Veronica

when Veronica sees Jughead and Tabitha embracing, she suddenly feels miserable, and that's when it hits her: they were together in that timeline they left, not even a minute ago, but now she's gotta push those feelings deep deep down for their sake

she looks around, seeing everyone hugging each other, and she feels so alone, not belonging, so she quietly slips away

Jughead is so happy seeing Tabitha, and asks her what happened, how did she bring them back, because "I was just talking with Veronica, and there was a light, then -" and then he stops because he suddenly remembers. Veronica.

He looks back, eyes searching the crowd, but she's nowhere to be seen, and when he turns back to Tabitha, and she's teary-eyed as she smiles at him. He can only say her name, in apology, in desperation, in confusion, and she says, voice close to crying "I know, Jughead, I saw everything. And I knew there risks when I erased your memory"

it's a torturous conversation, and Jughead swears to make everything right, Tabitha tells him to find Veronica, because she's all alone, so he goes, to talk to her, what he's gonna say, he doesn't know

Veronica is already packing to leave town, when she hears a knock on the door. It's Jughead, and he asks to be let in, so she does so, but can't look him in they eye as she continues to pack

and jeez, it got so long already in my head i think I just gotta write the rest in a fic.

Jughead and Tabith and Fencing. Because he was coached by Donna and lost to Bret and Tabitha was a champion 🏆 fencer who won against a demon.

Tabitha's the kind of woman to take on a hundred hobbies at once. Jughead has seen her come home with armfuls of oil paints or with bags full of doll parts, covering their coffee table with scraps from each new venture, until it felt like she had no more hobbies to try.

They have mugs that she's sculpted with Cheryl and CDs piled in the corner from her karaoke days with Toni. They have an ever-growing bundle of yarn on the chair in their living room and an equally ever-growing stash of crocheted beanies tucked in Jughead's corner of their closet. They have LEGOs and wood carvings and models of the buildings around town, and their house has slowly become something akin to an art museum, but Jughead absolutely loves it.

Maybe it's because Tabitha loves to work with her hands, or maybe it's because she seems to loathe relaxation, filling every quiet moment with upbeat music and a new activity, but it's most likely a combination of both factors.

Recently Tabitha's been going on runs with Archie. She asks Jughead every morning if he'd like to join them over two cups of his perfectly brewed coffee, even though they both already know the answer. The offer is still appreciated, though. Jughead likes to feel included, even if he ultimately won't be. It's just to be thought of.

And it isn't like sharing a hobby is new to either one of them. Jughead loves handing each draft over to his favorite editor and watching her pace around the apartment as she reads every word. And Tabitha loves teaching Jughead the ins and outs of whatever skill she's managed to acquire that week (most of the LEGO sets in their apartment were a joint effort), so it really shouldn't come as a surprise when Tabitha bursts through the door with a wide smile and a pair of blunt swords.

"You ever fenced a three time state champion before?" she asks, offering him the hilt of one sword.

Jughead grins, wrapping his fingers around the leather binding. "Not yet, but I think that might change soon."

"Well," Tabitha tosses her purse on the kitchen table and readies her own weapon, "would you like it to change now?"

Jughead's smile widens. "Couch?"

"Couch." she answers, and they briefly drop their weapons to readjust their living room's layout. Every fencing tournament needs an arena, and there's no such thing as an arena full of furniture.

With their coffee table and sofa now flush against the wall, Tabitha takes the first step towards the center of their empty room.

"Have you ever actually done this before? With a three time champion or not?"

"A few times. I wasn't very good."

Tabitha winks. "Maybe I'll go easy on you. Do you know the rules?"

"Is one of them..." Jughead trails off before jabbing his sword to the right and just narrowly missing Tabitha's side. "not to catch your girlfriend off guard and win through the element of surprise?"

"Only if..." Tabitha swings her own sword towards Jughead, this time lightly tapping him in the chest with the round tip. "another one is to always kick your boyfriend's ass."

Jughead rolls his eyes and steps away from her blade, readying his own sword once again. "Ready?"

"Oh, bring it on, Jones."

at this point jabitha in canon means nothing to me ... jabitha in my time loop fic means everything and has transcended canon idgaf abt whether jabitha has enough on screen chemistry or if bughead will get back together because tabitha tate watched jughead die 1374 times and im just supposed to believe that it didn't drive her insane?? yeah right ! sorry i cant think abt endgames when tabitha is unweaving time and space because riverdale trapped her too

Hey Levi, sorry this is a mess x

Tabitha dropped two pieces of bacon into the frying pan, sighing as a familiar sizzling sound filled the kitchen. She loved cooking breakfast. It was something she’d been doing since junior high, frying eggs, sunny side up and preparing steaming coffee for herself every morning before school.

It had also been a skill her grandpa taught her; every summer spent in Riverdale served as another opportunity to be shown how to create a meal from scratch and make it perfect.

And now she was so grateful for that experience, getting to put her skills into practise, both at work, and at home with her boyfriend.

Speaking of her boyfriend, she could hear him getting out of bed, the mattress squeaking audibly as he moved.

“Good morning sleepyhead!” Tabitha called out to him, watching with a soft smile on her face as he pulled on his robe and ambled towards the kitchen. He yawned, sinking onto one of the cheap, green bar stools opposite from her.

“Uh, it’s too early for this,” Jughead mumbled, rubbing his eyes, “I can’t believe you actually enjoy getting up at this ungodly hour.”

She cast her eyes to the antique clock pinned to the wall, grinning and rolling her eyes playfully upon seeing the time.

“Jones, it’s 10 o’clock.”

He moaned.

“Still! I swear you left me hours ago. It’s cold in there without you.”

Tabitha stood up, returning to her pan and flipping the bacon. She watched out of the corner of her eye as her boyfriend stared at her, a goofily enthralled look on his face.

“You could come over and help me?” she suggested, “And then maybe, just maybe, I’ll consider going back to bed with you.”

He perked up immediately, sliding out of his seat and walking around to stand behind her. His hand slid lazily from her shoulder, down her back until it was grazing just over her hip. She was barely able to hide the way the gesture made her shiver in exhilaration.

“What can I do?” Jughead asked, eyeing the mess of pots and pans covering every surface of the bench suspiciously.

Tabitha placed her spatula down and turned to face him.

“Either you mind this while I do the dishes, or you put some music on and get onto it.”

“Wow, Tabby, I’d forgotten how bossy you in the kitchen,” Jughead teased, “Yes chef.”

He sauntered over to the sink and turned the faucet on.

“What radio channel?”

For a while, they worked quietly yet harmoniously, side by side, both of them occasionally humming aloud to the radio. Music and delicious smells wafted through the kitchen, the intermittent sounds of sizzling bacon causing Jughead’s stomach to growl in hunger.

“Are we nearly done Tabs, I’m starving,” he grumbled.

She turned around, in the middle of scooping an egg onto his plate.

“Do you mean am I done? You’ve been subtly testing out your dance moves for the past ten minutes. Big improvement, by the way.”

A dull blush began to creep up his cheeks and Tabitha felt a tiny bit bad. But not much.

“Come on,” she said, slapping his arm gently, “Breakfast’s ready.”

And just like that, any shred of embarrassment he may have been feeling instantly melted away, as he eagerly grabbed the plates and attempted to run towards the dining table. Unfortunately, he rather misjudged his steps.

It was like his movements turned to slow motion. He tumbled towards the ground, crying out in shock as his and Tabitha’s delicious, heaping plates of eggs, bacon and toast went flying through the air. Eventually, everything came down to the floor with a splat.

Jughead sat there in silence for a few minutes, before shamefully peeling a piece of bacon off the ground and looking over at his girlfriend.

“Picnic,” he tried.

Instead of responding, she withdrew her phone from her pocket, snapped a few photos and burst out laughing.��Oh, Archie and Betty are gonna love this.”

Life in Riverdale is crazy, unpredictable, absurd, as Tabitha has come to know. The town always seems to have some new problem to throw at its residents, which makes living in Riverdale a constant stress.

She sighs heavily when she gets home, playing with her keys as she enters her apartment and hangs up her coat. There were only a few days until Percival's attempt at destroying Riverdale and the doom of her boyfriend's death hangs high over her head.

How was it possible that in every scenario, every single one, Jughead had to die? The universe must have some kind of grudge against them specifically for whatever reason to torment them this much.

"Tabitha? Are you home?" Jughead's voice asks from the couch, snapping her back to reality.

She makes her way over to him, putting a smile on her face. "Yeah, just needed to collect my thoughts." She takes a seat next to him and smiles at him softly. "Hi."

"Hi," he responds, planting a kiss on her lips. She leans into it, grateful for the comfort it brings her, that she still has him, if only for a little longer.

When they break apart, Tabitha notices a look of concern on his face. "Is everything okay?" he questions, bringing his hand to her neck. "You seem disconnected."

She takes a breath, her shoulders tightening. She can't lie to Jughead about something so serious, something that's been on her mind for the longest time. "You're right, it's just all this Percival stuff."

Jughead nods. "I understand." He removes his hand and gestures for her to lie down on his lap, which she does immediately, falling back with ease and making herself comfortable.

Once she's nestled into position, Tabitha smiles up at him. "This is nice," she says, holding out her hand to be picked up, which he does gently while keeping one hand on her shoulder.

He nods in agreement. "I know. I wish we could stay like this forever."

Tabitha lets out a short chuckle at that. If only they could have more than a moment of peace in this crazy town, maybe they could, forever entwined in each other's touch. If only they'd be allowed that freedom of peace one day if Jughead somehow managed to survive his death. Maybe then.

The simple thought gave Tabitha something to hope for, to long for, so she sends the thought to Jughead.

She knows he receives it when she sees the same flicker of hope in his eyes, and they smile at each other. One day, she thinks.

"One day," Jughead echos.

A Season 6 rewrite with a lot of Barchie moments and missing scenes. A lot more insight into their relationship. A seaon 6 fix it fanfiction because some of the plot idid not make any sense whatsoever!!

Do you plan to write anything for jabitha se 7 since they didn't get the ending they deserved. It would have been nice to see tabitha stay in the 50s and go through high school with everyone since there was no real reason why she couldn't.

If you are referencing the Season 7 fic I’m currently writing, yes! There will be Jabitha but more Jeronica for the sake of the story and some drama (which will hopefully make sense when posted).

As for a Jabitha-only Season 7, I probably wouldn’t but you never know.

what would the other riverdale characters' heaven be if they had died in the plague of the first borns?

the show picked the easier characters to construct heaven for. polly died after a miserable destitute single motherhood so her heaven would obviously be being mistress of a thriving thornhill with five babies. jughead suffered childhood food insecurity and career failure plus all his childhood intimate relationships betrayed him without exception so his heaven is as a successful aroace writer permanently residing in his favorite diner. we saw alice’s heaven when polly died - her three kids stepford-perfect while crowding ecstatically next to her as she plays mozart on the piano in a world where hal doesn't exist. kevin's heaven was shown in Vale to be as a Broadway star with Fangs as his manager boyfriend subservient.

but what is Veronica’s heaven? Betty's? Reggie’s? Cheryl’s? Tabitha’s?

Riverdale S6 E2 (Rivervale Ch 2)

Happy New Year (this is being drafted Wk 1,  2022).  My ‘reading’ Rivervale as a fanfic of Riverdale continues!

Alternate Universes that fic writers come up with can be completely hypnotizing if you the reader are on the same wavelength. By the same token, fanfic using alternative universes can be utterly alienating if it’s not a thing you’re into.  For this installment, I must say that I was on the Read, Regret and Move On side of the dividing line for this AU that is Rivervale. Horror is not a favorite genre and because I find the myth of La Llorona as presented here kind of retrograde and boring. But! As a deliberate exploration of misogynist tropes that bind women characters in fiction this installment was very fascinating to analyze.

Riverdale S6B, Ep #101 (“Unbelievable”)

Hello people I am back. Spoilers and gratuitous longing for Sweet Pea follow. 

A bomb blew up the Andrews house to smithereens but the Cooper house is completely unscathed.  I don’t know why that strikes me as less creepy than the fact that Alice Cooper is wearing her hair exactly like her surviving daughter’s.

Riverdale Episode 6.5 (Rivervale Finale)

In the final chapter of this fanfic-within-the-canon that has been the ride through Rivervale, there’s a truly Herculian effort to resolve the in-AU storylines that have received varying levels of development, and an attempt to tie it all back to Riverdale, to which we will return. And a lot of it is very witty and so much of this episode encapsulates what I so love about Riverdale the show as a piece of entertainment.
