Finally done! The second in my Tarot cards for my OCs series! Izzy gets the Death card, it's a bit special because that skeleton isn't upside down for no reason. I love how the wings turned out and the next time I have to draw chains I might cry but it's done and I'm happy with it!

The original three(?): Willem, Dores and Byrgenwerth gatekeeper! Description of Dores' mask mentions that she and gatekeeper accompanied Willem upon first diving in the Chalice Dungeons! (This group could include Gehrman too)

The Detectives: Simon, Gratia, Yamamura and Yahar'gul Hunter from Nightmare. All except for Simon are found in Healing Choir's jail for people that knew too much, Simon has keys from Brador's cell and Fist of Gratia in his equipment, and Yamamura is a summon in Yahar'gul too and not just Research Hall suggesting Yahar'gul Hunter might have helped him to run! I don't know who is Scooby of this team lol

The League: Valtr, Henryk, Yamamura and younger Madaras twin! Self-explanatory! Maybe older twin was a part too. + depending on how you interpret the line about previous one-eyed owner of the helmet, there could be the secret sixth guy

The constables: Valtr and the three corpses in Hunter's Nightmare from each you collect parts of constable set. I assume he appeared in Yharnam with three friends, then. (OCs time?)

Djura's group: Djura himself, Djura's Ally, Djura's Apprentice and the mysterious third "companion". We don't know who this is? I concluded it wasn't Josef because he's simply a variant of the type of NPC known as 'Izzy's Successor'. My latest idea was that it is a Blood-Starved Beast which is in the same cave as Djura's Apprentice, and what is your idea? MESSAGE RIGHT NOW ON THE NUMBER-

Gascoigne's family: Gascoigne, Viola, younger daughter and older daughter. Self-explanatory! + "Grandpa" the younger daughter refers to is likely Henryk

The Cainhurst four: Maria, Annalise, Bloody Crow and the King! Based on the idea that all knew each other! Annalise is the Queen so maybe King that Logarius killed was hers, and Bloody Crow uses the bone which is an item associated with Maria. Other variant: Instead of King it's Arianna, let's say she was already in Cainhurst, and Annalise's marriage either meant nothing for her emotionally or she is only the Queen and not Princess now that both of her parents were killed, so King was just her father. Other Other variant: The Cainhurst FIVE!

The Byrgenwerth squad: Laurence and Caryll confirmed Byrgenwerth scholars; Micolash and Rom strongly possible, Patches and Yurie just possible! The number varies from 3 to 6 but it is here..

The Byrgenwerth squad 2: Revenge: I legit don't know what to call it, ok ggfhhvb But it is Rom, Yurie and Caryll! Yurie is called the Last Scholar and protects Byrgenwerth and Rom, when Caryll is said to have same methods as Willem and Rom is literally 'Byrgenwerth Spider'. Both Yurie and Rom are also directly associated with the Choir (Ebby weeps at petrified body of Rom as lyrics of her theme refer to Mensis Ritual), whereas Caryll rune Eye, voice of Ebrietas, was symbol of Willem's research. Whether they "came back" to Willem or never technically left, there is a lot to unwrap about timeline, but they're connected in interesting ways! (idea of this squad is coined in by @heraldofcrow )

Favorite boss fight

Hm good question as well XD (I'm bad at choice I love many bosses!) But my favorite is of course Lady Maria. As in the boss fight. I need to redo her for sure but I always very enjoy the most fight. It's like a dance I love it! it's hard but not too hard as well. It's impressive, frightening and beautiful all at once.

11. If stats weren't a thing, what would you wear?

Well except when I need to go in the poison swamp or fight the winter lanterns, fight a very strong boss or try a new outfit just for the drip or references I do stay all the time with the same clothes.

😂 Ok i am joking let's not count her either. And let's not take Ludwig into account too. Well this 3 gone I would say hm Archibald and Izzy perhaps? Gratia as well. (80% of the shit I made about them are basically headcanons but it's not like 98% of the stuff I made up for Paarl jfeznfbf) + I really like Valtr, Henryk & co of course! (a bit everyone lol). But if we count like the nightmare hunters from that era my fav is literally an OC who became the beast possess soul 😭

30. Is there anything you always do in your playthroughs, even if it's not necessary to beat the game?

Hm get at least 3 Umbilical cord at least XD. and do all the bosses + try to have all the set & weapons! (items, runes etc Well the expensive weapons & outfits not all the time for sure.)

50. Tell me about your hunters!

Well I have Lucen Venator of course! (hunter on the pic above!) And I made a 2nd one for a new playthrough, I think I named her Claire bc I didn't want just a feminized version of Lucen's name lol but she's an equivalent of him for sure. One day I would need to make a third hunters for sure.

SO hm what can I say... ah yeah let's go with the oblivious for me :

In my main headcanon (fic verse) He was born the night MP was summon, but far from Yharnam.

His parents came from Yharnam but flew the city

He's related to Cainhurst a bit. (His mom (Louise) & uncle are from a servant family). The amount of her stress this poor woman had to go through during her pregnancy was quite insane too.

He have an uncle (Lupin) who still live in Yharnam, an old hunter that he don't have news off since some times.

His grandpa on his father side (Blaine/Blair) was an old hunter as well, he's an old friend of Gehrman.

Gehrman literally babysit Lucen's dad (Emil) when he was a baby and save him from being crucified decades later.

Somehow Bloody Crow (Voron) was around when he was born lol. Before he return to Yharnam. Do what you want with all those crazy infos.

Either he became the next crow hunter or baby squid great one.

On my first playthrough I choose "last survivor" but I'm not very settle on what happened exactly besides he got scars on his face for it.

He's a kind individual most of the time except when it's time to kick ass if that make sense.

The Words That Were Never Spoken (OC Re-Edit) - Chapter Four

His room isn’t really so much brighter than her own, but as the sun comes up, the light sneaks around the edge of the curtains. Like a warm caress across her cheek, it wakes her gently. Even the dull ache behind her eyes from the wine seems subdued in the comfort of his bed. Copia’s soft snores keep the silence from descending entirely and a small smile plays on Izzy’s lips. I snore, he’d said as if it weren’t something she’d heard before. As if he hadn’t fallen asleep in the car on every single road trip they’d ever been on with him. As if it weren’t one of the best sounds in the world.

Izzy blinks against the early morning light, squinting until her eyes adjust. Staring at Copia’s nightstand. A pile of books, sprouting post-its like an infestation, marked with his distinctive handwriting. A spare pair of his reading glasses. His ancient alarm clock. The thought that Copia himself should be between her and the clutter of his life slowly starting to dawn on her. Following along with realisation that the steady rhythm of his heart just under her ear can only mean that she’d rolled over in her sleep. Though she has no complaints about the cardinal shaped pillow, she does say a silent prayer of thanks that he’s still asleep. And maybe a second that he’ll stay that way a little longer.

Just a few minutes longer to be close. Savouring every moment that feels like a lazy Sunday afternoon and napping in the sunshine, like a hot bath after a long day and finally getting a tight hug you needed. Every single moment that feels like home.

Pulling away hurts. Her heart aches when she lets go. Settling on her own pillow… his pillow. Cold after a night without being used and colder compared with him. A sorry replacement in every aspect. Like the daydreams that are a sorry alternative to having him, really having him. Izzy sighs and shoves those thoughts aside. That way madness lies. And, next to her, is a man worth more than some silly fantasy. A better friend than she deserves… a better man than she deserves. It’s a disservice and an unkindness to pout over not having more when she already has more than she could have ever asked for.

Watching him, relaxed and peaceful in a way so many other people never get to see, without his paints or his cassock, just Copia, he is beautiful. Not perfect but perfect in his imperfections. From the crow’s feet to the lines across his forehead from too many hours concentrating on his work. From the tiny moustache that wouldn’t work for anyone else to the dusting of grey at his temples that grows a little more each year. The fine spray of freckles that she knows continue over his shoulders, down his back and across his chest. The cleft in his chin. All of the pieces of him.

She lets her hand linger close, only just brushing against his arm. Like a thief, stealing just that little bit more. Letting her eyes slip closed, clinging to the last few moments before the day starts and she needs to pack those thoughts away again. Listening to him snoring and knowing that when it stops the real world will be waiting.

The loud beeping of the alarm is jarring and she instinctively buries her face in the pillow while Copia smacks the clock with a practised precision. Beside her, he groans, rubbing the heels of his hands into his eyes. Slowly, Izzy turns her head to look at him, as if she hadn’t been watching him sleep, and gives him a small, sleepy smile.

“Buongiorno, tesoro.” His voice is froggy and thick with sleep. Good feels like a stretch the way he says it and you chuckle softly. “Did my snoring keep you up?”

“No, no, not at all. I wasn’t kicking you in my sleep or anything, was I?” She asks, half curious if he knows how she’d ended up sleeping. But he only echoes her chuckle and shakes his head.

“Nothing like that. A very polite bed guest.” He makes a face and his cheeks get pink when he considers what he said. “… you know what I mean.”

“I do.” she reassures him and, in a moment of insanity, lean closer to give him a peck on the cheek. “I’ll go get coffee started.”

“Grazie.” Copia shifts to let her pass, sluggishly hugging the blankets to himself and reluctantly moving to get up. “I shower quick then. I promise to use up the hot water.”

The one nice thing about knowing his quarters as well as her own is not having to ask where anything is. The coffee grinder drowns out the sound of him moving from the bedroom to the bathroom and she only catches the door click shut as the noise stops. Rushing to fill the pot to avoid scalding him by running the cold water once he’s in the shower. She’s just turning the coffee maker on as the sound of the water comes, muffled, through the door. And for a long moment that’s all there is. The gentle gurgling of the coffee and the steady sound of the shower. Giving her a moment alone to take a breath and try to clear her head. To make a plan for the day. It feels like there are too many things waiting without the will to do any of them. Not that that will make them any more likely to wait. Life, it seems, really does carry on.

As her thoughts start to spiral a bit, there’s a soft knock at the door. Not an expected guest, unless Copia forgot to tell her someone was coming by. Stranger still, of the handful of people she’d guess it could be, none would knock so gently. But, upon opening the door, it makes perfect sense. Aether waits in the hall, a box tucked under his arm, tail swishing behind him.

“Good morning, Aether. I’m afraid Copia’s in the shower right now.” She offers an apologetic smile.

The big ghoul only shakes his head. “That’s all right. Not here for him. Laundry sent up the last pick up from you. I figured you’d still be here.” He holds out the box full of clean clothes, his head tilting a little curiously at her attire.

Izzy’s smile turns a little sheepish. “It, uh… it’s Copia’s. I just needed something to sleep in.”

He nods while the faintest hint tugs at the corner of his mouth. “Uh huh. Makes sense.”

“He’s my friend, Aether.” She grabs the box of clothes with a huff.

“Of course! Of course! Friends. Good friends. Nothing more.” His tone isn’t convincing and neither is his expression.

“Thank you for the laundry.” She rolls her eyes. “Is there anything else?”

“No, I think that’s it,” he confirms. “But if he decides to get handsy, you just call me. All right?”

“Handsy?” Even the thought gets a snort. “Copia? Unlikely. But I’ll call if anything happens. You have my word.”

“Good.” He turns and heads off down the hall, waving over his shoulder, and she slips back inside.

The box doesn’t have quite as much as she might have hoped. But, at least, there’s a clean habit and underwear. A handful of various clothes, a pair of leggings, and one of her nightgowns. She half drags it out from the rest, staring at it for a long moment. Running her fingers over the material. Feeling like it should be a relief. All of it should. She shouldn’t be sitting there lamenting having some of her own things back. Certainly not because she can’t stop thinking about his comfy sweats or his old t-shirt. The feeling of the nightgown in her hand makes her skin itch, looking down at the shirt Copia let her borrow. The decision is sudden and final, stuffing the damned thing down to the bottom of the box and arranging everything else carefully to keep it hidden. She slumps back onto the couch, grabbing the throw blanket from the previous night and hugging it tightly.

His heart beat right next to her ear and his chest rose and fell, her arm tucked around his side. And she wondered again how long she’d slept like that. How long until she might again. When was the last time she’d woken up feeling so rested? If she could just… talk. If she could be certain that she wouldn’t lose what she already has.

If there was a sign. Please. I can’t risk him. I can’t. I just need to know what to do because this… this is killing me…

The thought is interrupted by Copia’s voice on the other side of the wall, calling her name. Setting aside her prayers and shaking her head, she gets up to check on him. Like he did the day before, she cracks the door open a little, raising her voice over the sound of the shower. “Did you need something, Cope?”

The sound of him clearing his throat barely carries over the noise. “S-si. Yes. I just think, you… you were going to send a list to Seestor. Did you remember?”

“Shit!” Izzy hisses. “No, I completely forgot. Thank you, I told you I’m a mess without you.”

With the door shut again, Copia lets his forehead hit the tiled shower wall, swallowing a groan. “Idiota del cazzo…” He muttered, looking down at himself, cock still in hand. “Nient'altro che un vecchio pervertito.”

Isobel had moved by the time he’d woken up. The place she’d been felt… like something was missing and his heart sank even as he’d chastised himself for being ridiculous. Noting the way her fingers still brushed against his arm. Was he really so desperate for her touch that that was enough? The answer seemed obvious, and was becoming more obvious by the moment as his body responded. His mind rushing, unrestrained, for thoughts of her fingers roaming elsewhere. The part of him not entirely fallen to chaos screaming that there was a time and a place, and that this was neither. At very least he resisted the urge to grab her and pull her back onto the bed as she crawled over him to see about coffee. Satanas… there was no coffee that would taste so sweet though.

He’d followed slowly, all too aware that his boxers were hiding very little. Waiting in the doorway of the bedroom for the right moment to slip past. Watching her work. Each time Izzy reached for something and his shirt rode up, exposing the curve of her ass and the underwear he wanted to rip off with his teeth. Fuck.

The sound of the grinder was all it took. He practically sprinted to the bathroom, making a sincere effort not to slam the door. Shedding his clothes as fast as he could manage. Standing in front of the shower almost shaking as he waited for the water to heat up. It could have been said, without any argument from him, that a cold shower might have been a good idea. But right then, he didn’t want one. He didn’t want to try and stop. He wanted, needed, to work out some of the tension before he tried to walk out of his quarters and pretend to be a rational human being. Even if it meant half stuffing a washcloth in his mouth to keep himself quiet. Crushing his eyes closed, her voice echoing in his mind, hands on his skin, his name on her lips….

The last thing he’d meant to do was to call her name as his hips lost their rhythm and he fucked wildly into his fist, spilling his seed into the cloth.

He steps out of the shower, burying his shame at the bottom of the trash bin. Shaving quickly and getting his hair halfway presentable. It’s taken him long enough already and holding her up even longer because he can’t control his own impulses is another embarrassment he can’t face this morning. Staring at his own face in the mirror, cataloguing all of the flaws, poking at the tummy that’s expanded a bit, the grey hairs that take over the brown a little more each day, the wrinkles… always the fucking wrinkles. Copia sighs, just trying to focus on getting done and giving her some space. His hand on the doorknob before spotting a new problem.

His boxers and shirt are in the laundry hamper, where he always dumps them. The towel tied around his waist for the walk back to his room to dress. Only his quarters aren’t empty and Izzy is sitting somewhere outside the door. Fanculo la mia vita.

“Aether stopped by with some of my clothes from the laundry. I actually have a habit to wear.” He keeps walking past as she talks, hoping she doesn’t look up from her coffee or the list she’s working on. But the cough behind him and the chuckle once she’s not choking any more is the sound of that hope going right out the window. “Remind me to suggest a new update to the Cardinal’s robes to Sister Imperator later. All that extra fabric is definitely doing you a disservice.”

Copia’s face goes almost as red as his robes and he huffs, waving the comment away. “You are a menace. And you better hurry or we are late again. You know Secondo will glare if we are late. It is his sermon this morning.”

He knows better than anyone that his older brother is unlikely to do anything more than glare, but it gets her moving at least. Besides, Secondo will find another reason to glare, without fail. It’s one of his more well known talents.

+ - Rom is a she/her, as confirmed by Miyazaki in interview!

+ Doctor Iosefka is replaced with Impostor Iosefka after you *enter the Cathedral Ward, so there are two characters in her clinic. Impostor’s name is not revealed. According to data and art book portraits they look identical, however! (upd: in first post version I made a mistake, saying Impostor replaces after Amelia dies)

+ Gascoigne has TWO daughters, not one! His older daughter is only met if you follow questline with little girl accurately, though.

+ Besides Gascoigne's older daughter, characters more or less easy to miss by players are Old Hunter Henryk, Crow of Cainhurst, Afflicted Beggar, Djura's Apprentice, Queen of Vilebloods and Martyr Logarius. Also never getting to see Lonely Old Dear, Suspicious Man and Arianna in person might happen. Basically the cast is wider than it appears!

+ Very obscure characters you might never learn about unless you get a specific item include: Graveguard Dores, Irreverent Izzy, King of Cainhurst, older Madaras Twin, Archibald the eccentric of the Healing Church, Caryll, Gratia... They are not just "popular OCs", nope!

+ According to the figma creators, Lady Maria is 6′7 (204 cm) and the Hunter is 5′11 (180 cm) ( x ) - they explain it from 6:40 to 7:05! Very useful information, especially considering Gascoigne’s model is taller than Maria’s, and Gehrman’s is EVEN taller than Gascoigne’s.

+ The cute girl wearing the same outfit as Micolash you see in fanarts is in 95% of the cases an interpretation of Rom before she became a spider, since Micolash saying 'as you did for the vacuous Rom, grant us eyes' implies right away she is ascended Great One, not born.

+ THE most popular ships are Mariadeline (Lady Maria x Saint Adeline), Valtmura (Valtr Master of the League x Yamamura the Wanderer), Holyvicar (Laurence the first Vicar x Ludwig the Holy Blade) and Alfhunter (Alfred x the hunter)

+ Micolash might be drawn with brown or blue eyes, Yurie might be drawn as blonde or brunette, Edgar might be drawn as blonde or redhead... The reason for Micolash is difference between his cutscene model and hunter one; meanwhile Edgar and Yurie are redhead and blonde according to face data but do not have obvious colors from found screenshots, that's why variety of colors in fanart!

+ Annalise is depicted as a redhead in concept art and on one of the Cainhurst portraits, however, hence why she might be not ‘blonde’ in fanart.

+ Stuff like 'Church spread Ashen Blood to motivate citizens to use blood ministration', 'Ludwig merged with his horse', 'Mergo is son of Oedon and Queen Yharnam is his wife' and 'Edgar infiltrated Yahar'gul and got stuck' are just the most accepted theories - they work, but canon also provides enough base for alternative takes.
