I haven't been able to draw at all this week due to a particularly severe bout of depression brought on by irl shit.

This little sketch of Casey as a teen isn't a sign that things are getting better but damn did it feel good to get done.

I wanted to do a Tarot Card series for the Flock of Crows cast and since I picked January 9th (tomorrow as of writing this) for Sam's birthday I figured I might as well start with him!

managed to continue the scene a little further because I thought of a kind of nonsensical joke.

Finally done! The second in my Tarot cards for my OCs series! Izzy gets the Death card, it's a bit special because that skeleton isn't upside down for no reason. I love how the wings turned out and the next time I have to draw chains I might cry but it's done and I'm happy with it!

All 8 Page WIPs! And we've hit the point where the scene in my head has ended. I guess what I do now is go back and finish the pages that are already done and start really thinking about what comes next.

I feel like I'm going to come to regret giving Casey that art deco tattoo...

Could've added shading to this but considering it was only supposed to be a quick doodle of a beat up Sam I feel it's already gone too far.

Catching Up

It's weird. On some level it doesn't feel any different from all the times he'd sought Casey out when they were in teens, like they're picking up exactly where they left off. Like they haven't been apart at all. Then he looks up from the view of the city and... they're adults. God, when the fuck did that happen?

Felt the need to draw some Flock of Crows stuff and Casey and Sam became the targets because their relationship was the one that fit the song I was listening to best. Also I've been wanting to draw the new tattoo I added to Casey's design. Of course I ended up doing a picture that makes said tattoo really hard to see, but I know it's there and what it looks like and that's what's important.

How come I'm actually pretty good at drawing big cats but domestic cats are still a struggle?

Anyway, attempting to right a wrong in that Romero doesn't yet have a ref and I didn't include him in the height chart. Which is a CRIME and I deserve prison. But better late than never. Here is the boy!

There is kind of a meditative quality to drawing all those lines in Casey's tattoo so I'm actually enjoying it a bit. Drew this for some shenanigans and also to try out some little tweaks I wanted to make to how I draw faces. Not sure if I can maintain those changes just yet, we'll see. Enjoy a sassy Casey. He's definitely judging somebody.

I'm really glad that this is a mostly written story (with pictures, but still), because drawing this shit in a comic would murder me.
