Finally finished this I think. The poll I put up about the clouds and moon tattoo ended in a tie between the 'Yes (keep it)' and the 'Yes (keep it), but simplify it' so I simplified it a little. Also realizing I've been waaaay over complicating his art deco tattoo but didn't feel like fixing it right now I will later probably.

Anyway! Some fun facts about him:

-When he's really tired he tends to just bounce between languages at random. So it can get hard to understand him.

-His handwriting is ATROCIOUS and only a couple of people can even come close to reading it.

-He loves to read just about everything, but especially trash novels. The trashier the better.

-The scar on his eyebrow is from running into a low door frame.

-The only person who knows his exact birth date and place is his mother and nobody's heard from her since he was eight.

I'd Start Running

I mentioned a while ago that Izzy is the most likely of the Flock of Crows crew to be covered in blood at any given time. His own, his opponents, same difference.

Yes, this is mostly because I think it's funny.

He's on the smaller side of the cast and is also the youngest and they're all fucking more scared of pissing him off than they are of the literal Cosmic Horror that they know.

He's an average ass 21-year-old with wings and fire powers.

Izzy and religious symbology is always fun, even though it only barely ties in to his story. Again I need to draw him in a scene where's not angsting but until then ya'll get this!

This little sketch of Casey as a teen isn't a sign that things are getting better but damn did it feel good to get done.

Random dialogue that was stuck in my head for a bit. Just friend's being friends and Alex getting sick of waiting for Baz and Casey to get out of the way so he can make his coffee.

Sam is not dating either of them and there's supposed to be a whole 3rd panel where Casey says Sam can take Alex but he'll fight for custody of Romero.

Random 5am Flock of Crows thoughts:

I'm just realizing that I draw so much of Izzy being a sad, pretty, anime boy that it's probably never come across that he is the most brutal motherfucker in the cast.

He's got the most scars of the entire cast and has had the most broken bones. He's voted most likely to fucking shank someone if given half a reason. He spent most of his time before the story in the 'Unsanctioned' tournaments for which the only rule is 'don't kill each other' and he was doing pretty damn well for himself there.

And every pic I've drawn of him is just him being mopey and aesthetic.

I need to draw him covered in blood one of these days...

Loathe as I am to give myself MORE work nearly every time I draw him... I think he needs another tattoo. That left arm/pec are just giving me blank canvas vibes... still trying to decide what though.

My cat likes to interrupt me when I'm right in the middle of working on something at precisely the moment where I'm starting to like it but I'm not ready to share it yet and this time I decided not to let him get away with it and post what I've got done anyway.
