Callie is shadowing Miyuki, whos come to speak to Spork - the head Pak Technician. Shes bored, and would rather make friends with Min instead :)

Originally this was just going to be a comic? but I realized it would look better like this!

completed zadf animatic! i started this in august, so apologies for the less than awesome quality of the early drawings, but i put my heart and soul into it every step of the way.

(aurora borealis is my name on other social media sites, i forgot to change it lol)

With shortness of breath I'll explain the infinite How rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist

This takes place in a future AU in which Dib is around 18-19 years old and he and Zim are friends. Similar to my strange but true au, but this animatic isn't a part of it. The basic storyline here is that dib is reminsicing the time he spent with zim in a series of flashbacks, mostly nice ones except for the parts when he is shown crying and te one where it is implied that zim was killed by the tallest/control brains--this is because he defected irk for earth and his found family. we see memory-zim a couple times when dib is at places he and zim used to hang out. it ends with older dib--like 28 years old--sitting on the hill the animatic opens on, with his nephew (yes, gaz's kid) telling him all the things zim told him. memory zim comes and sits down next to dib, and it closes.

gaz's son's name is jez, and he and gir are close companions. zim asked the membranes to take care of gir for him after he was gone, and they have diligently, leading to jez doing the same. jez holds gir like a teddy bear when he's nervous, lonely, sad, or just wanting love.

zim is def ooc, but oh well :3 he spends a lot of time at the membrane household, and yes, prof membrane does know he's an alien. he just does not care.

dib is curious as hell so zim gladly shares all his knowledge with him!

So yeah, nothing super complicated, a bittersweet zadf story told with one of my favourite songs. hope ya'll enjoyed!
