Hello. Your Come (Back) to Me fic was one my most memorable fics. Will you make a fic rec list of some of your most memorable fics and why you enjoyed them.
Thank you so much for this. I'm very proud of Come (Back) to Me. I've loved "Somewhere in Time" for as long as I love VC, 30 years now. That epic love story merged with Loustat just wrote itself and to know that people derive joy from it makes me feel so so happy!
Memorable fics rec! The most important thing I find for why I love a fic is when I can feel that it is written with respect and love for the characters.
So I'm listing the fics this way:
1. Loustat Human AU that stay firmly in character. When you read, and you can hear their true voices and believe their actions to be those of Loustat's.
@angstosaur Star-Crossed Lovers my first ever human Loustat fic. Lovely.
@riley-beautrelle Perfect Loustat met up in a holiday spot and true to character, fall head-over-heels for each other big time.
dolphinspirit I Hate You But I Love You More Loustat working on marriage, so much love, growth and healing.
2. Loustat fics that are absolutely hysterical (sometimes OOC) but so well-written with so much love and knowledge of VC (I absolutely adore funny Loustat)
@siahatha Renaissance Lestat in therapy so many memorable clever scenes dealing with anger and eating-disorder
cherborowitz In Spite of All My Faults Loustat x Emma+Clueless
@graygiantess and chxmpxgneproblems What, Like It's Hard? Loustat x Legally Blonde
murfrumbles AMC IWTV Omegaverse I firmly believe that this writer should take over writing for Mayfair Witches tv show bc their knowledge of VC and MW is incredible and omg I couldn't stop laughing and I agree with every word!
3. Loustat vampires AU that are canon-compliant and written to fill in the gaps or go beyond.
@riley-beautrelle For a Young Violinist Nickistat, gorgeous, atmospheric, written with so much love. Comfort despite the inevitable pain
@nalyra-dreaming Monstrous are what Monsters Be Lestat talks to Louis about Magnus, haunting, harrowing, healing
@prouvaireafterdark Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame Lestat being Dr Fareed's guinea pig for sexperiment. Hurt-comfort, very smutty very loving and complete with beautiful artworks
@lesfleursrouges Bitter is the Sorrow Louis is haunted by Lestat, painful and exquisite
@virginiaisforvampires All of You Lestat has nightmares about Akasha and Louis comforts him, short but satisfying.
@thefairylights Whatever Our Souls are Made Out of~ Loustat reunited in modern days, working out their problems, fluffy and loving
literary_genius Making it Work Loustat trying to make their relationship work.
I'm missing so many. But everyone, please do reblog and mention your most memorable fics. Let's give some love for older, memorable fics.

I teased (very briefly) that I would be writing a fic from the POV of one of Daniel Molloy’s daughters. Basically that has consisted of me throwing random dialogue and ideas into word docs and vomiting them at @nyheartbreak every other day. I’m going to slap some teasers below and just put out some feelers and hope that maybe this catches some traction:
"What... exactly are you doing?" Naomi asked, her steps echoing on the apartment floor as she tried to contain the nervous energy bubbling within her. Fingernails grazed her teeth, a physical manifestation of the apprehension she felt, while her father's voice continued on the other end of the call.
"Open the files. I emailed them to you a few days ago," he explained with a sense of urgency. "Listen to them and find the plot holes. You're a pro at that," he added. "Spotting plot holes."
"And you excel at creating them," she retorted smugly. "Last time we spoke, you dropped the Parkinson's bomb, and now you're gallivanting halfway across the world during a global pandemic."
A heavy sigh emanated from the other end of the call. "Listen, kid, I'm fine. I'm getting treatment here," he reassured her, his attempts falling slightly short. "Just give the files a listen. I know work's been iffy with this pandemic."
She scoffed. "I'm freelancing," she stated, with a brief pause before adding, "And planning your funeral for when you inevitably disregard more health protocols and kick the bucket."
"Like I said," he reiterated, "I'm fine. I'm invincible."
"Can you at least time it for fall?" she quipped. "I have this stunning Chanel dress perfect for a funeral—it screams autumn elegance."
"Listen to the files, Naomi," his tone turned serious. "You'll thank me."
"Sure, sure," she agreed, acknowledging her lack of better options. "I'll listen tonight and share my thoughts this weekend."
"Thanks, kid," he lingered on the line a moment longer before ending the call.
"You're welcome," Naomi muttered to herself, retrieving her laptop from its designated spot on the kitchen counter.

Another snippet:
"By the way, he did read my diary," Naomi announced casually, glancing over at Louis and Armand, who were nestled together on the loveseat, both tilting their heads at her spontaneous confession.
"One of you brought it up before," she gestured with her hand, "I forget who, but someone made the comparison between reading Claudia's diaries and my dad reading mine."
"I paid for that big time," Daniel interjected, rolling his eyes and adjusting his glasses.
"On October twenty-seventh, nineteen thirty-two, I quote, 'What mysteries we are, human, vampire, monster, mortal, that we can love and hate simultaneously, and that emotions of all sorts might not parade for what they are not,'" Naomi recited with precision. "I have a good memory."
"If you swap 'vampire' and 'monster' for 'transient father,' mine and Claudia's entries aren't much different," Naomi chuckled. "Except I left mine out on purpose for him to read."
"And you're admitting this because?" Armand inquired, leaning forward with folded hands resting on his knees.
"Because you seem to draw comparisons almost as threats," Naomi observed, her gaze lingering on his impeccably chiseled face, pondering what he might be concealing. "Bringing up Alice, my sister, Paris, the proposal, and whatever else you can extract from his addled brain," she motioned towards Daniel, who smirked back at Armand. "To me, that's a defense mechanism, especially considering that this interview is between my dad and Louis exclusively."
"And yet," Armand waved his hand gracefully, "here you are."
Naomi grinned at him. "And here you are."
Daniel cleared his throat as Naomi leaned back, finally easing into her seat.
"Let's move on," Daniel suggested, prompting Louis to release a soft chuckle, gazing at Naomi as if he were beholding Claudia once more, reincarnated, and giving Armand hell all over again.

Written for @vampirefest's kinktober and the prompt: coffin
There’s a dent on Louis’ coffin. On top, too large to ignore, only visible when it’s shut. The dent protrudes through its polished exterior, reflects flame all wrong as if it’s bleeding light.
impulsively i decided that i was going to fill this prompt as well as those i have upcoming. so yay impulsivity! 🩸

I was just minding my business, sitting here with my morning coffee and wondering about how I'm going to flesh out my next plot point when the random thought train took over my brain and sent me down a spiral wondering where my indirect influences for the fic I'm writing came from. Anywho, I realized something interesting. I was WAY into Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles series when I was a kid, and I gave the first few books a re-read when the new IWTV show came out. I think the way Anne takes the antagonist of one book, and flips them into the protagonist of their next book has had a lasting impact on me and the way I view media. I already generally gravitate to antagonists and anti-heroes (they're just so much more interesting!) and so I, like many others, was immediately down bad for Lestat even when he was pulling all sorts of fuckery with Louis in the first book anyway; but gah-dayum did that interest morph into full on favoritism when the next two books slammed him into protagonist mode. The same thing happened with Armand. He was interesting but a bit annoying in the first novel, but grew to become my second favorite character in the entire series as Anne revealed his story in full. When you're sucked into one of the previous antagonist's POV and history, suddenly things seem so much more grey. Sometimes that means we're provided context we were lacking- sometimes we learn the true motivations of a character instead of what the previous protags just assumed was the case - etc... I'm usually not fan of antagonists who are just 'evil for the sake of evil' and really have no true motivation for their actions other than 'bad is good', so I think that rubbed off on the way I experience media. I'm typically always on the alert for hidden context clues, red herrings, or angles that the story could take in the future to re-contextualize the status quo. Anyway, there is no real point to this post. It's just something I was thinking of and found interesting enough to scream into the void of the internet ;)

Basically, Loustat blowjob fic to soothe my depressed soul.
I mentioned it on my Tumblr but I lost half of my chapter for the newest update of Suckerpunch and it made me incredibly sad. Instead of trying to write it again I ended up finishing this. It’s silly and helped to raise my spirits enough.
summary: Lestat is always losing his phones and Louis is tired of replacing them.
rating: explicit
words: 2568

There's been 2 Lestat POV fics that I've enjoyed recently.
Roadkill by baberainbow and nlbv - Missing moment during ep 4. Two of best author's in the game. Honestly I don't know how this team up happened but we are blessed that it did.
Drunk On You by cococris - Takes place around ep 2. It's part 1 of 2 but don't let the unfinished status deter you because it's also good.

🎬 💭 🧪
🎬 If a movie or show were based on your fic, which fic would you choose and who would you fancast?
Oh, this one is hard. I'd probably choose my iwtc fic Remembrance, which is a season one au where the events of devil's minion happened in the 70s, but Daniel remembers them. As for cast, I'd just keep the same actors already cast in the show
💭 What inspires you and your writing?
I wish I knew, so I could access it at will. Sometimes I just get an idea from nowhere and have to write it.
🧪 Do you research for your fics?
I do. Usually that involves consulting the source material or wiki, but sometimes I find myself looking up the most random shit.
