If you can’t tell from the picture I am in the process of getting a tooth fixed (dental work is expensive)! I’ve been working hard to hide it because the shitty committee in my head likes to tell me that if my teeth aren’t perfect I’m not worthy! Idk why...so here’s the backstory... • • I’ve always been self conscious about my mouth and teeth. In second grade I had the lovely experience of eating asphalt, and a tether ball pole one day at recess(#onlygracefulwhendancing). This landed me in the ER with 30 stitches on the right side of my lip, a cracked front tooth, and another damaged tooth. We all agreed (my parents and the dentist, I was 8) that we shouldn’t mess with that tooth until I got older, and only if a problem showed up. If you look carefully at the lower, right corner you can see the scar on my lip. Well, now I am 23, and one day I was eating a lovely bowl of cereal when my tooth decided it was time to disintegrate. I do have a flip to hide it, but it’s terribly uncomfortable to wear. Also, anything dealing with my mouth/head/neck really affects my brain injury/surrounding areas. I have decided to conquer my fear since I know it will be fixed soon.
