This is NOT a scam... Odds are, you're doing waaayyyyy too much when it comes to helping your child with homework. 🤨🤨 Stop stressing and please start strategizing. 🧐🧐 Every strategy and technique I share with you was created and tested in my own classrooms. Like this one! -The Tackle- Let your child decide which homework to start with then... Have your child take out and look over the notes they have taken in class that day. Ask them if the homework is connected to the lesson. This teaches your child to make it a habit to look back at their notes for help with their homework before panicking or asking you for help. Self-sufficiency is key in so many aspects of our lives. This step will help them learn to help themselves. Sit with them through the first problem or question to gauge how they are doing with the work. Try not to talk or jump in, let them work. If they ask you for help, ask them if their notes have some tips in them. If they are still struggling after 5-10 minutes,  tell them to circle the problem and move to the next question or problem. Space where parents like you can find reliable support, advice, strategies, and guidelines for how you make sure your child is educationally ‘okay’ is extremely hard to find. Even if your child is doing okay now, are you feeling okay with how you are contributing?
