How to Get Your Kids Into Ivy League Schools
If you have been wondering how to get your kids into Ivy League schools, then you’ve come to the right place. It used to be that getting into one of these elite colleges was largely out of reach. Today, however, it is easier than ever.
Many parents today simply don’t believe in sending their children to these selective colleges. They feel that they are not capable of doing what it takes. However, that’s simply not true. You can actually get your child into one of the Ivy League colleges, if you know where to look. Let’s take a look at some of the colleges that are most highly regarded:
Harvard University has long been one of the top schools when it comes to Ivy League schools. You will be happy to know that Harvard is more affordable than you think. As a matter of fact, Harvard is one of the lowest priced colleges in the entire country. This is especially helpful for parents who do not want to spend too much money on their son or daughter’s college experience. The university has many different undergraduate programs, from science to humanities to arts, which means you should have no problem finding a place to start your education.
Yale University has long been a top-notch choice for Ivy League students. You should definitely look into this school, as well as the one listed below. In particular, Yale has a great curriculum that includes a very strong Pre-med program. This may be an option if you do not feel like going straight to graduate school.
Dartmouth is another excellent choice, although it is a bit expensive. Still, it has a very solid degree program and very few loans. This is a great way to get your child into some very good colleges without breaking the bank. While this is not necessarily the cheapest way, you may feel much better about going with this rather than paying for tuition out of your own pocket.
If you would rather skip the Ivy League, there are a number of other options. For instance, you may be wondering how to get your kids into other top colleges such as the California State University of California – campus. Cal State only has around three thousand students, which is much smaller than the numbers at Yale and Harvard. However, your student loans will still come due and you should consider this if you are concerned about not being able to afford the cost of tuition. This is especially true if you have a family that you need to support as well.
You can also try looking into smaller local colleges instead of relying on larger universities. Some cities, such as Danvers in Massachusetts, are home to some great independent colleges that offer courses that will allow you to earn a degree while working. You can often find a job that will allow you to continue working while attending classes at these smaller colleges. If you cannot find jobs that allow you to do this, then finding a smaller school is a great alternative. You will likely have a difficult time finding the money that you need to get into a top school, so this option can often work out well for you.
Whatever you decide on, you should know that getting into Ivy League schools is no easy task. However, it is entirely possible. No matter what your options are, you will likely be surprised at just how successful you can be at avoiding the competition by working hard and finding the best possible opportunity. This may be one of the smartest things that you can do for yourself and your child.
