Most my clothes I buy nowadays is thrifted, and it's not just because I took a lower paying job. When you work at a thrift store, you really understand how things work, where things get put, and where/how to find gems. And frankly most clothing is uhhhh overpriced anywayyyyyy. Even my favorite brands are overpriced tbh. The only time I don't thrift clothing is 1) underwear. I'll thrift bras & shit though, as long as it's clean. and 2) specialty items/small businesses, or if I'm looking for something very specific. Alt clothing (including bimbo) & small businesses especially falls into this category, but generally if something has a really unique design I'll buy it new

And it could end up being more probable that these kids are hunting and fishing for food rather than stealing it

which then of course leads into these kids having more basic survival knowledge than I had previously been dealing with, which means a lot of how they approach situations might be different and I'm ALSO handling a minority population that I now need to research and—
