THE MUCKRAKER : EIGHTH EDITION ( APRIL 26TH, 2043 )
THIS MONTH’S EDITION OF THE MUCKRAKER MUCKRAKER IS HERE TO HELP YOU KEEP UP WITH THE LATEST GOSSIP! READ THE MARCH EDITION BELOW TO STAY UP TO DATE WITH WHAT’S BEEN GOING ON FOR THESE LOSERS AND LEGENDS.
AND REMEMBER, IF I HEARD IT, IT’S PROBABLY TRUE…OR SOMETHING.
JBIJ’S MONTHLY RANKING ( PG. 1 )
this month’s ranking includes jacob ben israel ii’s favorite establishments based on wedding attire for the puckerman-remington union…paired with commentary.
LINK - self appointed flower boy @lincolnonline pulled out all the stops with his outfit to the wedding. dare i say more heads turned his way than to the bride? we LOVE a shit stirrer!
IVY - nepotism is treating @ivystjamess well! while i’m not convinced she can pull off the whole pastel thing yet, she sure did look good as she chased julien schuester out of the venue in distress!
NOAH - noah didn’t stand out in her bridesmaids dress in the slightest, but @puckermanoah certainly proved that she could be the hot sister after changing into a little red ensemble for the reception! one question noah, where’d you get the money for a dress like that?
ELI - not sure if @eli-stjames got the memo that this was a wedding, not a funeral, but one of lima’s ex-grungiest looked absolutely stunning in black this evening. eli undoubtedly shattered the hearts of het men all over that reception!
JOEY - men typically don’t dress well and @dumbofassjoey further proved most men will go with a regular suit and call it a night. however, in comparison to his other, plain, peers, he wore it the best.
COVER STORY ( PG. 3 )
arguably the best ( or worst ) spot you want to end up on if you ever receive the HONOR of being in the muckraker. this is THE juiciest story jbi jr. could get his hands on and he promises to deliver it with integrity to his devoted readers.
NEW WWE VENUE ANNOUNCED: THE LIMA BEAN!
like most people who hail from lima, you’re stuck in that godforsaken mass text finn schuester created in high school. if you were fortunate enough to actually unmute it and check, you were able to see the events leading up to the smackdown of the century between @zoepuckerman and @ljholliday. word on the street is lj is obsessed with zoe, her ex-boyfriend, and her friends. it got so bad lj took sterling duval to visit her sneaky link, THEO BEISTE. additionally, lj was so obsessed, she banned, eli, zoe, and most hot people from the party she threw with sterling. zoe, in a very rationally way, defied that order and attended the party anyhow. within five minutes of walking in the door, she reminded partygoers just who she is by physically handing lj her ass. here in lima, we appreciate a fight, love a good girl fight, and adore zoe puckerman even more when she’s punching weirdos! lj tried to fight back, but, meh. i once again commend zoe for acting in honorable fashion, and condem lj for being a stalker. if anyone has a video of the fight, please email it to [email protected], we’d love to post it!
MORE HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS SPLIT, JOEY MOVES ON RAPIDLY!
earlier this month, one of few gay couples to make it out of that godforsaken town called it quits! eyes and ears have given little confirmation as to why @angel-alexanderr and @dumbofassjoey went their separate ways. as intriguing as that is, the juiciness of the story doesn’t end there though. apparently joey bounces back just as quick as he throws his ass back, because sources say he’s got himself a little nyc rat. @ziggilbert is a bartender and nyu student. talk about a mysterious hottie! the two were spotted together at callbacks and while we at the muckraker can’t say we’re wishing them the best just yet, we can say that we appreciate their ability to be messy. and to dearest angel, don’t cry too hard, what did you think was going to happen after you and “hoey” hummel-anderson broke up?
RUMOR MILL ( PG. 5 )
it’s common knowledge the muckraker operates under the assumption that if something is said it MUST be true, but in the rumor mill jbi jr acknowledges the top EIGHT rumors that he’s heard going around in a few concise bullet points. because if he’s heard it, the student body should have to hear it too!
did you hear @phoenixharper saved 7 kids from a burning building this weekend? i heard she started the fire because she’s an arsonist, but that was nice of her!
@meadowsbukowski is reportedly providing cannabutter with the breadstix she’s serving. all you have to do is ask for her number!
rumor has it @samuelchangx hasn’t released any promotion for his new album because he’s still hung up on some hottie from lima.
@heidianderson didn’t come home for the wedding, not because she wasn’t invited, but because she’s got a bun in the oven.
another competitor in callbacks open mic night told us @frannyfeltera steals her jokes.
@rockyremington claims to have some hot new arm candy, but showed up single to the wedding. what’s wrong, rocky? does she go to another school?
sources close to @kadenfabray say he’s been replaced by a clone!
@sterlingduval is finally going to do something with her life by starting up her own company of sex toys that she’s calling daddy issues!
COME BACK NEXT MONTH, IN THE MEANTIME, KEEP STIRRING UP MUCK!

THE MUCKRAKER : TENTH EDITION ( JULY 20TH, 2040 )
THERE’S NEVER A DULL WEEK IN LIMA, OHIO. READ THIS WEEK’S EDITION BELOW TO STAY IN THE KNOW OF LIMA’S HOTTEST GOSSIP
JOEY HUMMEL-ANDERSON’S WEEK OFF! (pg 2)
after many-a-drag about his actual ass here in the muckraker, a source has reported that @joeyhqs has toned down his twinking around lima because he crossed the border over into indiana to get some major work done for the week. apart from some preemptive botox and an alleged face lift, it seems that he got a brazilian butt lift. using what body fat? the answer is unclear, but what is clear? joey got some work done and the twinking will probably resume as usual!
BURNING THROUGH THE BURN OUTS, LJ HOLLIDAY BANGS ALL! (pg 4)
in a shocking turn of events @ljhollidays was spotted at lima’s premier hook up hot spot, the view, with @wrenschuester! i’m not sure what makes those brown baggers so appealing, but it seems lj has joined the slew of others here in lima who has been unfortunate enough to hook up with at least three of that crew! let’s just hope that tweet of kaden’s about getting tested was true and lj didn’t swap stds with wren!
DING DONG THOSE WICKED HETS ARE GONE! (pg 6)
i don’t often become emotionally invested in a story, but this story feels like a victory that has been months in the making. those atrocious heterosexuals, @leo-mccarthy and @ivystjamess have finally called it quits. the reasons why are beyond me, i don’t know, and quite frankly i don’t care, but if i had to guess, it probably had something to do with the fact ivy is known to be. . . get around and needed a little more than a greasy film nerd to satisfy her needs.
RUBY MOVES IN ON GRAYSON, WATCH OUT WINNIE! (pg 8)
all of lima was rocked to it’s core when @graysonlopezpierce cheated on @rubyzizes with @winniclove! in months passed we’ve come to accept that their relationship is what it is and they’re off being the definition of a straight couple with a girl way out of the guys league. anyhow, i’ve had a very reliable source tell me that ruby is putting the moves on grayson in hopes of stealing her man right from under winnie’s nose and giving her a taste of her own medicine.
WINNIE CHEATS AGAIN? (pg 10)
as mentioned in the previous story, ruby is plotting to steal winnie’s man, but does winnie even care? sources say @winniclove was seen cozying up with lima’s loveable church boy @drewharts at the lima bean. given their history i wouldn’t be surprised if it very soon became very public that these two are once again hooking up. sorry ruby, but it looks like your master plan might be for nothing!
CANCER SEASON FLOPPED! (pg 12)
cancers are already a flop of a zodiac sign as is, but that has crept into the personal lives of @hunterxslade, @jrdnabrams, @alexiscsmythe, and @graysonlopezpierce seeing as all of their birthdays flopped! this only further proves how much as a zodiac sign, cancer sucks! there was no passing out drunk, no crazy hook ups, alexis didn’t even publicly indulge her alcoholism for all of lima to laugh at! regardless of the floppage, i’m just absolutely thrilled for cancer season to be over and sail smoothly into leo. hopefully something interesting will actually come of those parties!
CHECK BACK NEXT MONDAY FOR THE MUCKRAKER (ISSUE #10)

the classes of 2041 and 2042 have both graduated and scattered across the world to chase their dreams, pursue education, and bask in adulthood...or something like that. whether they be in new york, chicago, columbus, lima, l.a, or even overseas, it seems that good times, juicy drama, and adversity still follow them wherever they go. now weaning away from the “glory days” these lima losers at heart are facing problems familiar and unfamiliar at the same time, heartbreak, long distance, working, studying, and finding time to partake in the college party scene all at once.

𝒊 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 ( schiblings )
WHO: @julienschuester and finn schuester. WHEN: monday morning, the ltrl ass crack of dawn. WHERE: schuemobile.
FINN MIGHT HAVE BEEN both vastly worried and deeply disappointed when she rose monday morning to discover julien was nowhere to be found. around 5:15, she called him and offered him an out: ‘where are you? i’ll come pick you up. you should probably get home before dan and nia get here before breakfast.’ the schuesters were undoubtedly a family-oriented family, and while they had family dinners close to each night, there were special occasions where they’d all meet up for a breakfast, or a picnic, or whatever. today being one of those days she 1: wanted her little brother home safe and sound. and 2: didn’t want the affair ruined by him getting in trouble.
so at the revelation he was at the st.james household, she put on her slippers, threw on her jacket, and grabbed the schuemobile keys off of the peg by the door and slipped outside. finn drove to pick julien up in silence, her mind loud as she mulled over just what she would say to him when he got in the car. she certainly wouldn’t scold him. finn didn’t struggle being firm with others, but she often had trouble when it came to her brother, but his break up with ivy had been a big deal. she hadn’t forgotten the night their mom had to take his phone because he had gotten so overwhelmed, but finn was beginning to wonder if he had let that memory slip away. putting the car in park, she sent julien a text, and shortly after he was emerging from the house. as he got in the car, finn was already looking at him with raised brows as if to say ‘really’. now moving the car into drive, she began the winding path back to their house and asked a simple, “did you at least have fun?”

I think Eugenie&Jack live in the Ivy cottage at KP. I don't think the Queen would have given them an apartment at BP. I think St.James would have been the better option or could still use Nottingham cottage since they're just in 3 and for a night/day it could do
I cannot fathom BP being a residence for anyone other than the monarch, future plans for BP not withstanding.

AIN’T TOO PROUD TO BEG
WHO: @ivystjamess & julien schuester (ft. @davisgools ) WHERE: the lima community theater WHEN: thursday, 12/17 — moments before opening night WHAT: Julien has had enough of this ‘broken up’ business. In a moment of uncharacteristic bravery, he storms into Ivy’s dressing room and demands that she hear him out. His big speech leads to a kiss, but their reunion is cut short by one Davis Goolsby walking in on the action.
JULIEN: It was safe to say that Into The Woods had snuck up on Julien Schuester. Between the musical, sectionals, hockey, the holidays and all of his recent relationship drama, he felt like he was in a never-ending state of unrest. Things were off. Plain and simple. Under “normal circumstances,” meaning if his heart hadn’t been absolutely stomped on by Ivy St. James, maybe he would’ve been able to juggle everything. But that wasn’t the case. So, come opening night, Julien was panicking in his dressing room, pacing back and forth while his understudy watched him curiously. He knew ‘giants in the sky’ like the back of his hand, he knew he had it in him to nail the performance, but if he caught even one weird energy exchange between Ivy and Davis while he was on stage? He wasn’t sure he’d be able to recover. “Fuck this,” Julien muttered to himself, the uncharacteristic curse earning him a wide eyed stare. With a huff, Julien exited his room and beelined it to the one across the hall and pushed the door open without knocking.
“Ivy, I need to talk to y—“ he announced, but the person he was looking for wasn’t alone. While Ivy stood by her vanity, Julien’s eyes narrowed in on the girl he recognized as Amber from Vocal Adrenaline. The one he’d seen at the Carnival talking to her and likely scheming with Davis to get her to transfer. “Amber,” Julien greeted curtly, feeling his face redden, “I need to talk to Ivy alone.” Despite Ivy glancing at him, her new teammate seemed to take no notice. Was he really that invisible? No. Not today. “Hey, I’m talking to you,” he said again, this time loudly, “get out.” A pause. “Please.” He clenched his jaws and glared at her, stepping into the room and holding open the door. That did the trick and she got the hint, hesitantly making her way out. Thank God. Julien closed the door behind him once she was out and turned to face Ivy. Of course, she immediately launched into some rant, but Julien didn’t care. He’d come to her dressing room with a purpose and he knew he was going against all of the advice he’d gotten, but again, he didn’t care. It took all of five seconds for him to cross the room, put his hands on either side of Ivy’s face, and crash his lips into hers in the middle of whatever sentence she was uttering. He knew he’d have to explain himself and say something eventually, but first he needed to kiss her. As he slowly pulled away and opened his eyes, for the first time in weeks, things felt right. “Hi,” he said quietly, scanning her face to try and get a read on where she was at before he launched into his speech.
IVY: If Ivy was asked to do one thing under all the pressures in the world, she would hope it was to perform. Usually she was blessed with a calm disposition before opening nights and worked magic on the stage, but with all the turmoil that had shrouded her personal life as of late, she'd be lying if she said those St.James nerves of steel had softened. It left her stuck in her head, miserable as she sat in front of her dressing room mirror, touching up her make up every few minutes or standing up and doing vocal warm ups. Amber, one of her new friends on Vocal Adrenaline and a member of the chorus for this production, had been like a savior to get her out of her head. The girl had brought her a tea with some honey and a pep talk she had hardly been expecting. Having someone around who was removed from both her old life and her newfound Davis drama did wonder for all the nerves building their way up from the pit of her stomach up to the top of her head. She was feeling ready to tackle the night. When she glanced in the mirror, she was no longer critical of the way her hair was falling incorrectly or how the dirt smudges on her face didn't look real enough. She radiated confidence, and not the deep rooted sadness that lurked beneath the surface. The heartache that could consistently be traced back to her break up in McKinley's hallways a little over a week ago. Feeling more comfortable in her own skin, Amber and Ivy chatted, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company. That was until the door swung open.
Amber didn't seem to pay much mind to Julien, but a million looks crossed her expression as he came in with his demands. Confusion, fear, anger, longing. It was emotional whiplash to say the least, but the more stern he grew in the way he spoke with Amber had Ivy's chest racing up and down as she breathed heavily and the tips of her ears turned red. Her Vocal Adrenaline buddy said an awkward goodbye and Ivy wasted no time to give Julien a peace of her mind. Was he trying to ruin the show by throwing her off? What didn't he get about respect my choices? Couldn't he see she was trying to keep his pain to a minimal? Before she could choose her words carefully, Ivy was pointing a finger at Julien and huffing, "Okay so for starters that was like so rude, we were talking you can't just storm in here and talk to my friends like that, Jules, that's totally not cool!" her tone reached it's typical shrill heights while she ranted at the speed of light, and while she was very visibly bothered, it didn't keep her from speaking her mind. "I told you to like respect what I was saying and you're doing like the total opposite! I am a smart girl who can make her own choices and--" Before she could comprehend all that had happened, Julien had crossed the room, cupped her cheeks, and latched his lips to hers. It made Ivy weak in the knees. The movement of his lips against her own had her wanting to cry, yell, and kiss him more all at the same time. Still stunned in the position she had been when Julien had made his way over to her, Ivy's hands were raised midair when he pulled away as she silently stared at him as if she were a dog waiting for it's bone. For once, no words passed Ivy's lips as she stared at him expectantly. He'd successfully rendered her speechless as Ivy tried to decide how she wanted to present herself to him. Though her prominent sorrow fought it's way to the surface as she mustered up a pathetic, "hi."
Her gaze briefly flicked to his lips as she wished she could rewind a couple of seconds to where things weren't so complicated and they were just a boy and a girl sharing a special moment that didn't need to exist outside of the walls of this dressing room, or within the context of the real world. Ivy reluctantly moved on and took one look into those sad eyes of his. Stupid Idea Ivy a pang radiated throughout her chest, causing her to turn away from him and plant her hands firmly on the counter that sat below the mirror in the dressing room. Sucking in a breath and therefore the sobfest she could feel coming on, with her back turned to him, she forced out an oddly meek, "What do you want?"
JULIEN: What do you want? Julien stood behind Ivy, breathless from their kiss, as he stared at the back of her head and let his arms drop to his sides again. That was a loaded question, but no matter how he broke it down, it always boiled down to one very simple simple answer. “You,” he said quietly, shedding all the toughness he had walked into her dressing room with. “Look at me,” he told her, finding some of that stern energy again as he made eye contact with Ivy in the vanity mirror and placed a hand on her arm, urging her to turn around. He could tell she didn’t want to and he could see very clearly that this wasn’t as easy for her as he previously thought, but that made him even more certain that he’d done the right thing by storming in. Once she was facing him again, their eyes connected and he held her gaze bravely. He wasn’t going to look away, even if it hurt, even if it was hard.
“I know you’re smart,” he started, feeling the tips of his ears and the back of his neck getting hot as his his stomach began to twist into nervous knots, “and I know you’re right about a lot of stuff…” Julien gulped, swallowing his fear as he squared his shoulders and straightened out his posture, “but you’re wrong about this.” He said that with his whole chest. He knew it to be true. “We go together,” he said, taking a step towards her and causing her to bump up against the edge of her vanity, “and I do know you, legs.” It was so obvious to him. He knew her, just like she knew him. “I know you’re kind of a really bad driver, that you watch Saved By The Bell whenever you’re sad, and that you rub your lips together whenever you’re nervous...or when you’re flirting.” Anyone who spent enough time with Ivy would eventually be able to pick up on those things though. Knowing those things just meant he paid attention, but they didn’t mean he knew her heart. “You talk a big game but you’re actually like…a really tender person,” he said quietly, closing some of the distance between them as his hands gripped the edge of the vanity on either side of her, fencing her in. “You might be tough like Buttercup on the outside, but deep down you’re a Bubbles. You care what people think and you’re sensitive. I know that tonight when you go out there and totally kill it and stuff, it’s going to mean everything to you when your parents tell you what an amazing job you did. You care so much about making the people you love proud.”
What did Davis know about Ivy that Julien didn’t? What did he capitalize on that had Ivy so convinced he knew her better? As Julien stared into the big, sad blue eyes of the girl he loved, he finally dropped his head and averted his eyes. “I know that you’re a force to be reckoned with, Ivy,” he admitted, slumping his shoulders, “you like to win and you probably do fit in better with those Vocal Adrenaline kids. They can probably keep up with you a lot better than any of us ever could.” It sucked to admit, but it was true. Ivy was built differently than a lot of the people in the New Directions or the Trouble Tones. She was so talented it made Julien’s brain hurt sometimes. “You are a powerhouse.” A pause. “But you know what?” he started, feeling his cheeks redden again as he brought a hand up to gently pinch her chin and angle her face upwards so she was looking at him, “that’s not all you are. You’re hilarious and blunt and so sweet and fun.” Julien felt himself starting to smile as he spoke, reflecting on the years and years of experience he had with Ivy. “I’ve loved you since I was like…fourteen or something…” he admitted, shrugging as he dropped his hand from her chin, “and I want to be with you. I don’t care if you’re on Vocal Adrenaline. You mean so much more to me than show choir and musicals and stuff. So…” he let out a deep breath as he neared the end of his rambled speech, “ball’s in your court, legs. I just…I needed to tell you. But if you want me to go away forever and stuff, I’ll respect that.”
IVY: Julien didn't need to give this large grand speech to make Ivy want to be with him. She wanted to be with him many times in her life, but she never wanted to be with him more than she did as she left him stranded by a locker in the hallways of William McKinley High School. There was no denying Julien. Not long term at least. And not for Ivy. They'd both seen how that worked out after a summer of Ivy ignoring him, cutting him out, protecting her heart. And even now it was painfully obvious how difficult placing a wall between them was. As Julien gently turned her around, with a quivering bottom lip, Ivy refused to look at him. She was walking an emotional tightrope, on the other side was getting away from this incident tear free. Below sat Julien, waiting for her to run into her arms and pretend everything was okay again. Her balance was obviously wavering as he struck chord after chord, each one hitting her deeper than the last. Ivy had been foolish to say Davis knew her better than Julien, but Ivy often said stupid things in an emotional haze. That wasn't a new development. While his hands gripped the vanity counter behind her, Ivy could feel his breath on her neck as she looked away from him and at the floor. Each time she thought he was going to let up, free her from this breathlessness, and inner anguish, he continued speaking, reminding her how he loved her so.
There were plenty of reasons for Ivy to be conflicted, again, her sister was sounding in her ear telling her to protect her heart. The issue of Julien essentially being a human doormat wasn't lost on her, though this firm display had her wondering if there was hope. She didn't know. All of this came back to Ivy not knowing. Not knowing if she was doing the right thing, not knowing how to cut Julien out pain free. But then again, was there a painless way to cut off someone who was just as much apart of her as her blue eyes or pinky finger? Probably not. With her hands trembling, Ivy sucked in another ragged breath and forced herself to stare back into those favorite brown eyes of hers. It killed her. The look on his face and the words he was saying were too much for Ivy. All this came back to Ivy not knowing. Not knowing how they wound up here so quickly, not knowing why doing what she deemed the right thing could feel so wrong. Conflict played out across her face as clearly as a movie on a screen. 'ball’s in your court, legs. I just…I needed to tell you.' through this entire exchange though, the one thing Ivy did know was that she loved Julien Schuester. Even though they weren't together, Ivy loved Julien in the breathless, head spinning, want to be near you always, kind of way. A sad adoration clouded over her gaze while fear was painted on her eyebrows. It wasn't apparent to Ivy just how to share her vast range of feelings, so instead she stared at him in the silence for an insufferable five seconds before closing the minimal distance between them and urgently pressing a kiss to his lips. Was this the smart thing to do? Probably not, but her heart told her this was the correct course of action. Ivy was strong, but not strong enough to hurt Julien for the benefit of the feelings of hers she wasn't entirely sold on.
So Ivy did the only thing she could think, kiss him. Kiss him suddenly and desperately and in a way that said I love you. Because while there were a lot things about this situation she didn't know, there were two things she did; that she loved Julien and kissing him was the best feeling in the world. Her hands rested on his chest and just to be sure he got the message, Ivy briefly pulled away to weakly whisper, "I love you." before bringing their lips together again. This wasn't the smartest of Ivy's plans, but it also wasn't one of the stupidest. She'd deal with the real world consequences later when she couldn't feel Julien's heartbeat beneath her hand and they weren't sheltered by the walls of the dressing room. For now it was just them, and for now Ivy didn't think she needed to know. While Julien didn't relent with his verbal message, Ivy didn't relent with her physical one as she held herself close and kissed him like opening night wasn't awaiting.
JULIEN: In this moment, Julien and Ivy were just two kids who loved each other, who were in way over their heads and searching for answers in each other’s eyes. He held his breath as he waited for her to say something—anything. If only this could be easy. Couldn’t it be easy? With each agonizing second of silence that passed, Julien grew more anxious. “Ivy…” he started, determined to fill the quiet with more words or more begging or reasoning, but her name was all he managed to get out before she closed the distance between them. Julien’s lips melted against hers as his hands found a place to rest on her hips. Little by little and piece by piece, things started clicking back into place. His heart was bouncing in his chest under the weight of her hands as she took the lead and deepened the kiss. This was good right? This meant that she still…
I love you. He knew it. “I know,” Julien responded breathlessly, and just like that, their lips were connected once more. Julien had come into this situation wearing his heart on his sleeve and getting the verbal and physical confirmation from Ivy that he wanted only confirmed that it was the right call. In one swift motion, he snaked his arms around her and without breaking their kiss, hoisted her up on to the surface of her vanity so that he was standing in between her legs. The last time he’d kissed her had been before sectionals, so they were no doubt making up for lost time. He let his hands wander until one of them eventually a home in her hair while the other settled on and squeezed her thigh. Kissing Ivy was the only thing that mattered. He was so lost in the moment that he forgot where he was and that there was an audience surely settling into their seats in the auditorium and a cast doing vocal warm-ups and playing theater games in the green room. None of it was important. All he cared about was this.
That was, until he heard the sound of a knob turning and a door swinging open. Julien’s eyes widened as he pulled his lips away from Ivy’s and caught a glimpse of their intruder in the mirror. When his eyes landed on none other than Davis Goolsby, he saw red. “Ever heard of knocking?” Julien shot at him, not moving from his place in front of Ivy but instead just turning his head to look over his shoulder. If he was being honest with himself, as annoyed as he was that Davis had interrupted them, he was also glad he was seeing this. Contracts be damned. Everyone had been quick to tell Julien that Ivy was into Davis and that there was something going on between them, but he knew it in his bones that they were wrong. Ivy loved him, she’d just said it herself. So this moment, as messy as it would surely be later, felt like a victory.
DAVIS: Davis was thanking every single god in existence that opening night was upon him. It was hard enough trying to participate in something so closely tied with the student body of William McKinley High School, but having to practically court one of the members of the cast to ensure a solid performance? He was fucking exhausted. But alas, the show was promising enough. He was sure his father wasn’t going to be in attendance for the night (or any night, really) but he was going to perform like the entire audience was filled with important people, not stupid ‘townspeople’. The perfect way to get into his star mindset? Linking his mind and energy with someone that had started feeling more like his platonic soulmate than anything else - Ivy St. James.
If he were honest, Davis’ interest in Ivy had come as easily as him realizing who her father was. Once he knew that, he was sold that she in the wrong place. It was fate that that was corrected and she was finally on the side of Ohio that she belonged - with him and with Carmel. She would flourish with him at her side, definitely far more than being tied down at the freakin’ Titans torture school. He won and in turn, he was pretty sure that Ivy would too. It was why he opened the door to the dressing room with such a confidence.
But something was off.
As soon as he peered inside and saw the unmistakable disaster tragedy of a mop head human being in front of Ivy? Davis questioned just how much he had won. Ivy was still seeing Julien freakin’ Schuester. If Davis had been more focused on maintaining their friendship from the start, he might have realized the signs of her toying around with the Schuester, but he had been blinded by his own selfish deeds - typical. Fair game, Julien Schuester.
“Apologies, I didn’t realize I was walking into the filming location of a porno,” Davis said with a light smile as he locked eyes with Ivy. He wasn’t upset with her by any means, but it did make him question a lot. Perhaps she had a little bit more of her mother in her than he had pegged her for. “There’s fifteen minutes until curtain, so I was wanting to talk with Ivy. I see she’s busy. Julien,” Davis greeted before he was staring down the cocky looking boy before him. God, he was a level of pathetic that Davis hoped he would never stoop to. “My apologies.” His words were softer now, knowing that if he was going to spin this in the proper way? Julien would have to stand before him, baffled as ever, and questioning as ever. “I’ll catch you guys later then,” he said with his tone sounding sadder before he was closing the door and turning to be on his way. It was evil, he knew that much. The look he conveyed was one he had seen a thousand times on his step mothers face trying to act as if they’re not hurt by seeing his father screwing another woman. He was acting before the curtains even rose - he was playing the part of a secret lover scorned. God, he was good.
THE END.

@limastarters
AND THERE IT CAME . . .the condescending smile, followed by the signature, ivy st.james ‘let me tell you why you’re wrong’ look. “it’s not that i wanted to not audition for the musical, it’s that i didn’t audition so i could upset my parents.” a small shrug follows. “they were totally on my case last week and what’s adolescence without a little power struggle?”

𝑒𝑔𝑔 𝑚𝑒 𝑜𝑛 ( julien & austin )
WHO: @julienschuester and austin nelson. WHEN: sat. 1/16. day. WHERE: slopes, WI.
JULIEN SCHUESTER GETTING EGGED was the funniest thing austin had witnessed since tossing his first nameless loser into a dumpster as a sophomore. was it the first or final egg hitting him that made austin laugh more? well, the jury was still out. regardless, he seemed to be one of few who wasn’t afraid to admit that the video was comedy gold. schuester was a softie, everyone knew it. and while austin tried his best to toughen him up both on and off the ice, he never got too far. maybe after being fucking emasculated by his ex girlfriend though, austin would actually be able to get somewhere. he’d asked him yesterday pretty much first thing if he’d be down for hitting the slopes together, and of course julien said yes. their morning was alright, austin loved winter more than anything, so he was having a blast based on environment alone. between trying to get julien to ski double blacks with him and giving the younger hell most of the day, it was a pretty fucking fun saturday. as they made their way off the lift and glided into the common area at the top of each track, austin couldn’t help but notice julien looking particularly grouchy. was it the undeniable sight of ivy st.james in the distance, decked out in pastels or was julien just being a bitch? either way, austin decided to take matters into his own hands. if he could fuck with julien just enough, maybe he’d wipe that grimace off his face, “cmon schue, let’s run cyclops, last one to the bottom’s a rotten egg!” he jeered, and propelled himself forward. when he noticed julien wasn’t laughing, austin looked over his shoulder. rolling his eyes, he continued. “we’ve been running blues all day! do i need to threaten you with a carton of eggs so you stop skiing like a girl?” he asked. glancing off to the right, then back to julien, in reference to ivy he continued, “or should i just have her do it? i’m sure she wants to with that ugly fucking frown on your face.” to austin, this was just teasing, but as seen by julien’s expression, boy schue seemed to take it personal. so in a final effort, austin added a simple, yet ineffective “lighten up.”

BLUE AIN’T YOUR COLOR
WHO: @dumbofassjoey & @darcyclarington ( + @austinelsons & klaine & huntbastian ) WHERE: wmhs // principal remington’s office WHEN: friday, november 13th WHAT: Joey gets called into the principal’s office and has to deal with the consequences of slushing Darcy (spoiler alert: he gets suspended)
JOEY: Joey didn’t even think about what was about to go down in the principal’s office. His head had been so distracted lately by the thought of Darcy finding out that Joey was the one behind the slushie incident that he didn’t even consider why he had been called in the first place – he just thought it had something to do with the bird he kept in his locker or something about his grades, but he didn’t expect to find this scenario. As he walked into the principal’s office, a place where had been before, he felt like he was going to die. They figured it out. The office was pretty much full now, with not only his dads in there but also what he assumed were Darcy’s dads and of course – Darcy herself. “Have a seat, Joseph.” He heard Brock’s voice coming from behind his desk and as he looked over at his dads for a while, he knew that they were mad at him – not mad actually, disappointed. It hurt Joey to see them like this, especially when he hadn’t done something of the sort of all of his years in high school – he had always heard his dads say to be the better person and to not slushie people, so of course his dads would be disappointed at him. As he took a seat in the only empty chair in the room, Joey looked around the room for a few moments before he was looking at Brock again, as he finally decided to say something. “What’s going on?” He asked, not sure what else to say – he knew exactly what was going on, but maybe he was wrong. Maybe, just maybe, this wasn’t what he thought it was.
DARCY: It had felt like weeks waiting for some update about the investigation. Darcy heard the news that there was a break through in the middle of class via text from her father, informing her that they were outside her homeroom waiting to take her straight to McKinley. She glanced toward the exit and through the window, locking eyes with both parents giving her as they have a nod. There was going to be hell to pay. She immediately had been pulled out of school before first period in a race to the public school. The whole car ride over was full of anticipation as she mumbled to herself all the ways she was going to ruin the life of Ivy St.James or whoever the fuck it as soon as she walked through the doors, while her fathers reminding her that they would take care of it all and she was not, in fact, allowed to scalp anyone.
Hunter and Sebastian on either side of her as they stomped through the hallways with briefcases in hand, ready to strike the person who did this to her with the hand of god. They stepped into the principle’s office and immediately the two sets of parents stared at each other and sighed in unison as they realized they were once again holding a disciplinary hearing for their children in one semester. “Well, are we even surprised?” Sebastian chimed in breaking the silence. “Looks like Lucy and Desi can’t seem keep little Ricky under control, hm?” Hunter shot his husband a look, which simply caused Sebastian to adjust his stance as they waited in on the other’s son. Darcy was simply confused at seeing the Hummel-Anderson’s standing in the room already there for them. Tracy was formally Warblers captain…but he wasn’t even in glee club at all at McKinley. He wouldn’t have any reason to betray her like this. She didn’t even have time to fully process the situation when Joey walked into the room to meet them. The boy was not who she had expected, her face visibly perplexed as she glanced around the room. “Um, I think you have the wrong person here. I’m pretty sure Joey can barely tie his shoes, let alone orchestrate a plan like this.” She turned to look at the boy, softening her voice as she spoke slowly and condescendingly , “Joey, sweetie, is there anything you want to tell us about what you saw at the fair?”
JOEY: Joey could feel all his eyes landing on him the moment he had walked in the room and it hadn’t changed all the time as he made his way to sit on the chair. He could hear both of their dads talking behind him, but he wasn’t processing it at all. It felt like he had been sitting there for hours, before he heard Darcy talking to him. As he turned his head to look at the other, Joey shook his head slowly as he cleared his throat, but not daring to say anything to the other. He knew he was in trouble – his attention was caught once he heard Principal Brock speaking again. “Miss Clarington-Smythe, please.” He said, almost as a warning before he was turning to Joey, while glancing occasionally to look over to Kurt and Blaine. “We have reason to believe that Joseph was involved in the slushie incident that happened at the carnival a few weeks ago. One of our students came forward and admitted that Joseph paid him to slushie Darcy.” When he heard those words coming out of Brock’s mouth, Joey felt like he was going to throw up – Austin had told Brock. There was no way it could have been anyone else. “Well, who was this student? He could have been lying to try and get Joey in trouble, Joey would never do anything like that. We’ve been clear about slushies, he wouldn’t do something like that.” Joey heard Kurt talk to Brock, but he felt like he couldn’t do this anymore. If he kept lying to his dads and to the principal, it only seemed like he was going to get in more trouble. As he cleared his throat, he could feel his eyes watering even if it wasn’t that much. He had been caught and now that he was in this situation, he saw that Julien was right all along. Had it been worth it? “I-I did it… It’s true. I’m the one behind all of this.” He said, not daring to look up from his hands. He couldn’t bare looking at his dads or at anyone in that room at that moment.
DARCY: The Principal’s warning garnered a sharp glare from the blonde, he really had no authority over her but the look coming from her own father was enough to remind her to play nice. Taking a breath, Darcy straightened her posture but as soon as the news hit hear ear, it felt like her brain was buffering to compute the information. She stared dumbly at the boy. Her first thought was Huh, that bitch. Who knew he had it in him?’ quickly followed by That bitch…I should kill him. “You sneaky little shit!!!” Darcy yelled popping out of her seat and staring down the Joey in his seat next to her. If he hadn’t shaved his head only 2 weeks ago she would have ripped the hair out of his empty headed scalp. She must have been smoking out of her ears because felt the gentle hand of Hunter taping her shoulder for her to sit down. “Honey, I got this.” He told her as he stepped toward Principal Remington’s desk and turning on lawyer mode. “Considering the pattern of the behavior and animosity the Hummel-Anderson children have shown to ours, we have reason to believe our family will only continue to be a target if Joseph Hummel-Anderson is to remain a student at this school. Because of this we’re asking you to consider the highest penalty – expulsion.” Hunter spoke clearly as he ignored the intense stares coming from the other set of parents and continued, “We believe this is only fair considering the premeditated attack with a weapon.” Sure, weapon was a strong word but Hunter was here to win. “If it pleases the court, we’d like to bring in Austin Nelson to the stand to testify to the extent of the crime and you can see for yourselves.”
JOEY: He should have expected a reaction like that coming from Darcy – after all, she had been the one that been humiliated in front of everyone and in that moment, Joey was just thankful that there were other people in the room so he was sure that Darcy wouldn’t be able to kill him in front of everyone else. As he heard what one of Darcy’s dads had to say, he decided it would be for the best if he kept quiet. It was sort of inevitable whatever was going to happen to him. However, when he heard Hunter mentioning his expulsion, Joey couldn’t help but to frown – was he really about to be expelled from school just because of a slushie? Before he could speak up about it, Kurt cut him off. “Oh please, you’re not really considering expelling Joseph just because of a slushie? He shouldn’t have done it, but him getting expelled over it is too much! Sebastian, did you really forget that you could have been expelled from what you did to Blaine with that slushie all those years ago? I’m asking you to think this through! What Joseph did had no excuse, but he doesn’t deserve to be expelled over it.” Kurt finished talking, before he was looking over at Principal Remington. Everyone seemed like they were waiting for him to say something. It was clear that he didn’t want to be there, Joey could see it in his face and everyone else in the room could too. “Just bring the Nelson kid in… But I have to agree slushies can’t be considered a weapon, tons of kids do it to those glee kids all the time.”
DARCY: Sebastian was just about to pipe up to defend his own teenage mistakes until Hunter spoke on behalf of his husband (and apparent client). “I’m sorry, but we resent that implication unless you have evidence to back up that up at this time. Besides, the statute of limitations has clearly passed.” he said motioning to the fact they were all now adults. It was petty but he wasn’t going to let their shared history with Kurt and Blaine to affect the current issue at hand. However, when the principal seemed to side with the Hummel-Anderson’s on the matter of the weapon, even Hunter was taken aback. “He disfigured our daughter’s face!” He finally snapped before taking a breath, reminding himself that he was supposed to be the professional in this. Clearly, they weren’t going to get anywhere without first proving the extent of the crime. “Fine. Bring him in.” He agreed as they called the boy from the waiting area. Once they brought in Austin, Darcy was fuming in her seat. She didn’t know who the fuck this guy was, but suddenly she was thinking of a hundred ways to end this meathead's life. She could kill him with knives, with guns, her hands… she would fucking talk him into suicide. It was only another gentle reminder from Hunter that reminded her that they would come out of this winning; she just had to trust them.
Sebastian had worked with kids on the stand many times before, having always managed to build up a casual rapport with the younger witness. “Thanks for being here Austin.” He said casually, hand in pocket as he motioned for him to take an empty seat. “We just have a couple questions to ask you. It shouldn’t be a big deal, just answer honestly.” He had been briefed on the situation, the kid seemed like a little bit of a dickwad, not too much unlike himself in high school. For that he had to give him a little respect for his creativity, still if he didn’t have bigger fish to fry at that moment, he would have Austin’s head over a mantle. “Can you point to us the person who instructed you to go through with this attack?” he started, waiting for him to do so before asking his next question. “Can you just explain to us exactly what happened and what made you go through with this?”
AUSTIN: Austin Nelson wasn't a snitch. Except for the one time he was. He didn't give a fuck about this stupid show choir drama. It was just as irrelevant to him as his third period Algebra II Class. But fifty bucks was fifty bucks and he'd somehow found himself roped into Brock Remington's office earlier that week to talk about the whole incident. He'd relied on prosthetics and having virtually no connection to the blonde to get him out of this without a scratch. But over the weeks with a combined effort between staff and students, someone had put the pieces together that Austin and his buddies had left working the haunted hayride about thirty minutes before the incident had occurred. Rarely did Austin get called into Brock Remington's office, and when he did, it was mostly out of formality considering Rocky was one of Austin's best friends. But this time good ol' Brock seemed nervous about consequences and proper courses of action and such. Which really, he should've functioned that way from the get-go, but Austin didn't mind walking away from a fight or two or a crass language citation with no more than a finger wag. Earlier in the week, he had been prepared to keep his lips zipped. Joey had paid him to do his job and keep quiet, so he would. Until Brock dropped the bomb that if he fessed up to who put him up to things, he'd earn himself immediate immunity from consequence. How could he deny that?
It was taking that deal that wound him up in the fever dream that felt like 'The Trial of Joey Hummel-Anderson.'. Who were all these dudes? Was that the girl he slushied? Why did shit feel so tense? Austin tried not to dwell on his abundance of questions for too long. It seemed best to just answer and get the fuck out of there ASAP. At the prompt to point at who put him up to it, Austin complied and pointed to Joey. Then the next question came, and he shrugged. The leather of his letterman jacket crinkled far too loudly then he would've like, "Um, Joey texted me saying he'd pay me fifty bucks to slushie..." a pause as he looked to the blonde. Her terrifying stare was enough to make him feel cold all over and avert his gaze immediately. "Her." Austin paused again, getting the sense his answer wasn't satisfactory, "So, on the night of the carnival or whatever, that's what I did." The room was way too tense for his liking, so he jumped the gun and asked, "I already told Mr.Remington this, Can I just go now?"(edited)
JOEY: It seemed like time was just moving forward at a speed that Joey really couldn’t understand, because the next thing he knew, Austin Nelson was walking inside of the office and taking a seat in one of the chairs. Joey’s first thought was to stand up from that chair and try to hit him as hard as he could, even if he had to deal with the consequences. As he looked over at Darcy, it felt like she wanted to do the same thing, so at least there was something that the two of them could agree. But Joey couldn’t really be mad at Austin for what he had done – this was all Joey’s fault and as much as he didn’t like what was about to happen, he had to deal with the consequences of whatever his punishment was going to be. As he heard Austin talk about their plan, Joey could feel everyone’s eyes on him again once Austin pointed at him and he caught a quick glance of his dads’ faces as they shook their heads at the news they were receiving. Joey really felt horrible and he couldn’t even imagine what it would be like once they got home – and he really didn’t know what all of his friends’ reactions would be like, especially since this investigation seemed to had taken to a level that Joey really didn’t expect.
“You can go, Mr. Nel- “ The principal said, but before he could finish his sentence, Austin had bolted out of the office. Joey noticed Kurt taking a step forward to talk again before anyone had the chance to. “Okay, what if Joey did that? It wasn’t right, but he doesn’t deserve to be expelled. No one has been expelled for slushing anyone and a lot of worse things have happened before around here. I’m sure Darcy isn’t the first person to be slushied in front of everyone like that.” Kurt said and Brock sighed, almost as he wanted all of that to be over – you can see it in his face that he really didn’t have the patience to deal with the show choir drama and glee club rivalry. “What about suspension? He’ll be suspended for two weeks and he’ll be banned from performing at that competition that’s coming up… What is, regionals? Sectionals? I really don’t know, there’s more important things than glee club.” Brock said, and once he was done talking, Joey still felt like he was going to throw up at anytime soon – he had been quiet this entire time, but he finally spoke. “What? I can’t perform at Sectionals? That’s unfair!”
DARCY: Darcy knew that a plan like this was way too big for one person to execute. The only thing keeping her from clawing the rat’s eyes out was the other witnesses in the room. As Austin finished his testimony and booked it out of the office, Darcy decided she’d get her revenge on him eventually. For now, Joey’s head was on the chopping block. As much as Sebastian wanted to let twinkle toes know that no one slushied the Clarington-Smythe’s and got away with it, he bit his tongue and focused his effort on the principal who truly held the power in the room. All the attention fixed on Mr. Remington as they awaited his judgment on the matter. Seeing how nonchalant he was being about the whole situation, Sebastian considered filling a class action lawsuit against the school. However to Darcy, the suggestion of Joey not being able to perform with the New Directions felt like the answer she was waiting for. The idea of Joey not performing at Sectionals was too good to pass up.
“We’ll take it!” She quickly said, looking to her parents to back her up. The two fathers glanced at each other nodding. They knew how much this competition meant to their daughter, much more than ruining the potential future of the kid who humiliated her. She wanted to win. It almost warmed their heart to see their daughter so passionate about destroying the New Directions as much as they had so many years ago. Sebastian decided to continue taking the reigns, while not speaking directly to Joey, he addressed the principal on the matter. “I think a two weeks suspension from school and extracurricular activities including performing at Sectionals is more than a fair deal.” Sebastian acknowledged before turning to the Hummel-Anderson couple, “Our child was traumatized. Unless you want us to serve you for the emotional distress your son caused to a poor defenseless teenage girl, then I suggest you take the deal.” Darcy let out a fake sob into her hands, while her father offered her his pocket square as she dabbed away the non-existent tears, a smirk hiding behind the designer handkerchief as she awaited their surrender.
JOEY: Joey wasn’t surprised to see Darcy’s reaction when principal Remington suggested that he was suspended – it was just another chance for her and the Canaries to win at Sectionals, especially if New Directions lost a member. Joey looked over at his dads for a while as he saw them ponder about what to do in that situation, but he sort of knew what was going to be their decision, even if they didn’t say anything to Joey – and that’s when Joey realized what was actually going to happen. He was about to be suspended and he felt terrible about it, truly awful – there was no way this was happening, maybe Joey would eventually wake up from what seemed to be a nightmare, but that’s when his dad decided to finally talk. “We’ll take it.” Kurt said, almost in a tone of defeat. “And we’re sorry for Joseph’s behavior, what he did wasn’t okay and he will talk to him about his punishment once we get home.” Kurt finished, before he looked at Sebastian and Hunter for a while, before turning his eyes to Joey, who quickly looked away. “Great! Joseph, you’re suspended for two weeks and banned from performing at Sectionals. I’ll see you in two weeks.” Principal Remington told Joey, before nodding his head slowly. It didn’t take long until everyone was leaving the office and Joey was making his way towards to his dads’ car. There wasn’t much talking on the way home, but Joey knew that he was in trouble and there was no way he was escaping this – for a while, Joey had thought he had actually won over Darcy, but it seemed like she found a way to get always win instead.

THE MUCKRAKER : TWELFTH EDITION ( AUGUST 10TH, 2040 )
THERE’S NEVER A DULL WEEK IN LIMA, OHIO. READ THIS WEEK’S EDITION BELOW TO STAY IN THE KNOW OF LIMA’S HOTTEST GOSSIP
WHO’S KEEPING WINNIE’S BED WARM? (pg 2)
@winniclove has been noticeably absent from our dreary little town as of late. while it’s no secret she’s filming her big comeback in a guest starring role, sources say she won’t be making a comeback to grayson anytime soon. winnie’s star was already outshining his own and now with this added distance, it only makes sense she’d be leaving that janitor in the dust! the only question left? who’s cleaning up after her now? if you have any tips, please get in touch ASAP!
SILLY FINN! LEO’S FOR KIDS! (pg 4)
whatever is going on between @leo-mccarthy and @finnschuesters is definitely questionable, right? other than the surprise leo was capable of moving on so quickly, is anyone going to talk about the fact they went on a seemingly romantic getaway to chicago? even though i never would’ve painted finn as a cradle snatcher, i have to hand it to the new couple (?) it was a turn nobody expected to come from the publishing of their little hook up. let’s just hope finn doesn’t keel over and die before leo actually develops a personality beyond brooding!
THE BOY IS BACK! (pg 6)
surprisingly, within the midst of all this cross country, mamma mia drama, somehow @brokelynsd managed to throw everyone for another loop when he returned from the dead! sure, we’ve all known he’s been in new york, but it’s not like he, you know, made any efforts to stay connected to lima. can we as a collective blame him though? there’s no doubt it must’ve burned when he found out his long term girlfriend was cheating on him with another chick. who’s gonna tell him naomi and eli are back on though? and when somebody does? give me all the details!
NYU DROPOUT! HE’S STUCK IN LIMA! (pg 8)
so once golden boy @tracehummelandersons seems to be back in lima for good! i’m still not sure why he’s back to stay, but a reliable source has told me he’s trading in those silver screen dreams for that horrendous blue mechanic jumpsuit. yes, that’s right, lima’s dearest tracy has dropped out of school and seems to be in lima to stay! welcome to lima loserhood trace, sorry you fell short of filling those gigantic shoes set before you! better luck next lifetime. i hear your friend eli has been dealing lately if you get tired sweating over people’s cars!
CHASE TWO GIRLS, LOSE THEM BOTH! (pg 10)
to nobody’s surprise, @julien-schuester decided to go behind girlfriend @roryslade‘s back and get his dick wet with @ivystjamess. you all know the saying, those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it, blah, blah, blah. according to our sources, rory has is still yet to dump julien which? only shows me she’s more messed up than we all may have initially thought. ivy clearly has some perpetual pining for julien. and julien? well it’s obvious he’s a whore. though there isn’t much word on any epic blow ups from rory’s end, she burned julien in another way by performing as well as she did thursday night? and ivy? i heard she’s not speaking to him. but we’ll see how long that lasts. let’s just hope julien has some better car insurance since his last little fuck up!
MAMMA MIA! : A REVIEW BY JACOB BEN ISRAEL II (pg 12)
three words; drama, dad’s, and duds. seeing as i am lima’s most reliable source for anything and everything important, it makes sense the crowds would come swarming for the only review that matters. we all know and love the story of mamma mia, so i’ll save all the boring plot stuff. here’s what i’ll say, cream of the crop: rory slade, baby puckerman, ruby zizes. flops? theo beiste, joey hummel-anderson, leia evans. for me, rory just hit every mark! baby is insane, but it brought a dynamic presence to each of her few scenes. and ruby? talk about a breakout star, unexpected and pleasing, i for one would’ve given someone with her ability and confidence levels tanya, but that’s just me. as for my flops, theo beiste is so stupid you can see it from the nosebleeds! everyone roots for pepper a little and i just didn’t. as for joey, casting a gay as a gay? boring. that’s all i’ll say on that front. and leia’s performance as sophie? talk about a snooze fest. too sweet without enough fire. in whole, the performance was fun and up to mckinley standard, but next show i hope for an actual competent director not afraid to make daring choices. three and a half stars out of five.

IGNORE HIM
WHO @julienschuester and ivy st.james. WHEN sat. 4/24. evening. WHERE wedding reception.
weddings were starting to become a fun staple in ivy and julien’s relationship. they had been dating during dan’s, and now dating during brock and quinn’s. unfortunately though, this night wasn’t shaping up to be as magical. sat at a table with her father, who had definitely been drinking was mistake number one. mistake number two was staying long enough to let him run his mouth. there was no amount of pouting or sharply scolding her father with daddy!’s that put an end to his lecturing. from ranting about how the minute her contract was up, she would be best off moving to LA to pointed remarks about nobodys and less ambitious people sitting at the table, it was a nightmare. this nightmare in particular had led to julien excusing himself, and ivy glaring at her father.
“totally cool of you, dad.” ivy said sarcastically as she rose from her seat in a flourish and hurried after julien.
the lima country club wasn’t too terribly big or confusing, and in no time ivy found julien out on the balcony they had shared new years eve together on only a couple of years ago. instantly, her gaze darted to her hand where the promise ring usually sat. (just not tonight, the red clashed with her dress.) broaching him at the railing, ivy prepared to do some damage control, “look you just like, can’t listen to him jules.” she said, now standing beside him, hand on his back, “my dad is like drunk, and being dumb, he seriously doesn’t know what he’s talking about. he’s just...harsh...you know that.” her words sounded like a promise, all to encourage him to shake it off. verbally nudging julien, ivy then suggested, “let’s like, head back in okay? we’re gonna miss all the fun.”

please note that callbacks do not require additional work and are merely fun plot points! that being said, just because your character is called back for any given role does not mean they will get it.

LIVING WITH GRAYSON AND KADEN WAS FUN RIGHT UP UNTIL IT WASN’T. not that he was ready to pack up and move away from his air mattress in the corner of their living room area and had back home, but he just wanted a bedroom, for like a night. between sleeping poorly almost each night and working long hours at the autoshop, he was a little worse for wear. and trace, with all his pride, refused to head home for a night. he said he was moving out, so he would stay moved out. so his fallback was of course to text one rachel st.james, his biological mother who would give an arm and a leg for her only “son”. framing it as coming over for dinner, then staying the night, it was only natural his request was accepted. there were many sleepovers between eli, ivy, joey, sawyer, and himself as kids, so truth be told he was kind of excited to be staying the night. not to mention, it would be a good chance to catch up again, with eli. life had been so crazy since he first rolled into town, it felt like they were barely spending any of the time they wanted together. after an ever tense dinner, ivy had hurried upstairs and locked herself in her room in a very uncharacteristic of ivy way which made him raise a brow, but he didn’t think much about it. tracy helped with dishes alongside eli, nudging her as he scrubbed at a particularly grimy plate, “this one must be your dads.” he teased, quietly. “do you wanna watch a movie or something after this? i’m guessing there’s still a tv in the” a pause, and then a hushed mocking tone, “guest suite?”

this was a first for archer. it seemed so easy in the movies and in tv shows, but this was a lot harder than he imagined. at least in the movies, there was lattice or some other fixture to make the climb a little easier. with each glance up, he realized there was no way he was getting up to his destination without taking more of a risk than he set out to take. looking up, he took a deep gave himself a mini pep talk before he hopped up began his ascent up the side of the house. the higher he got, the more he was starting to regret this even more. it had more to do with the fact that he was afraid of falling than anything else, at this point he’d gladly take a st.james lecture over an injury. as soon as he got to the window he thought was ivy’s, the male hoisted himself up and did his best to push the window open a little more before he pushed himself through. once he managed to get himself upright, he took in his surroundings and immediately realized he had picked the wrong window. “hey, what’s up? how’s it going?” he was sure the words came out awkwardly rather than the calm, cool, and collected tone that he was aiming for.

IT WASN’T OFTEN THAT DREW HART COULD BE SEEN AT THE SHAWNEE COUNTRY CLUB. that was, if his mom wasn’t in town. if she was (which was the case on this particular day), he got dragged down there at least once a week. as she finally finished forcing sunscreen onto drew as if he were a toddler, she laid down to begin her own sunbathing and drew trudged off to go look at the snack bar until he got bored. on his venture across the pool, he spotted julien up on his lifeguard perch swapping places with ivy st.james who stood at the bottom. once he was fully down, he began jogging to meet julien to which he was a met with a fierce whistle blow and a ‘you like cannot run here, drew!’ from ivy. he waved his apology and eventually caught up with julien. “hey, sorry to come at you like that, man.” he said, grinning. did he feel bad catching julien on his break or potentially before he went home? yeah. but he’d be stuck staring at the snack bar in boredom otherwise. he’d be a little selfish just this once. “i’ve been meaning to ask you about auditions, how did yours go? i saw your name on the list! good thing too, you’re one of the best in the department.”

KISSING IN YOUR CAR AGAIN (FT. JULIEN & IVY)
WHO: @ivystjamess & @julienschuester WHERE: ivy’s car / mckinley student lot WHEN: tuesday, post-football game WHAT: ivy and julien meet up after the game for their regularly scheduled ‘secret’ make-out session and things end up going a little too far.
IVY: IT HAD BECOME MORE OR LESS OF A HABIT FOR IVY AND JULIEN TO MEET AT HER CAR AFTER EACH FOOTBALL GAME. of course, they had a hand full of other 'meetings'. like the ones in her basement, in mr.banks' astronomy classroom briefly, and even in her own bedroom once or twice. but ever since jesse st.james gifted his youngest daughter the freedom that came with a borderline luxury car, well, ivy had been making quite the effort to christen it by making out with julien schuester in the passenger seat every tuesday night. this tuesday was no different than the others. it started with the game ending, but truly began with ivy straddling julien, pleated skirt fanned out around them as her arms rested on his shoulders and both her lips and body moved against his with a certain urgency that hadn't surfaced until their little chat about sadie's in mr.banks' classroom. it was business as usual until ivy breathlessly pulled away. for a moment, her mind went blank as to just why she'd parted her lips from his own in the first place. instead, she jumped directly to admiring the slight furrow in his brow that accompanied the post make out haze and the constant twinkle of kindness that danced across his warm eyes no matter the setting. an undeniable grin crept it's way across ivy's face as she whispered, "cmon." before expertly removing herself from julien's lap and maneuvering her way into the backseat. despite this being the first time crossing that figurative boundary with julien and the literal one of climbing into the backseat, it most certainly wasn't ivy's first time in this position. sure, she'd only slept with three guys, which by her count, wasn't really all that many. but more often than not she'd find herself in backseats or bedrooms making out with boys who she'd inevitably thrust off her and call it a night. it was different with julien though. she liked him. a lot. she liked being with him, she liked talking with him, she liked singing with him, and more relevantly, she liked making out with him. so as ivy waited in the backseat, slightly propped up against to door and ready for her lips to meet julien's once again, she smiled softly. eventually, he got out of the car, and came through the door. near instantly, ivy propped herself up just a little more, to press a brief and tender kiss to his lips only for moments later to tease, "took you like. . . long enough."
JULIEN: Julien now measured his weeks by his Tuesday night ‘hangouts’ with Ivy in her car. He hadn’t expected their little meetings to become routine after the first football game of the season, but he definitely wasn’t mad about it. After every home game, like clockwork, Julien would wait around in the stands for fifteen minutes before he booked it to the parking lot and found himself planted in the passenger’s seat of Ivy’s car with her in his lap, arms wrapped around his neck, kissing until their lips got swollen or one of them got an angry text from their parents. This Tuesday was no different than the others. Every interaction he had with her always felt charged, but on this particular evening, that feeling was dialed up to a ten. They hadn’t seen each other all weekend and on Monday, Julien had gotten his schedule mixed up so he’d missed his window of opportunity to drag Ivy into an empty classroom. This meant that while they made out to the sound of ‘can’t believe the way we flow’ by James Blake, they were making up for lost time. Julien’s hat was surely askew and his cheeks flushed when Ivy abruptly broke their kiss. “What?” he asked breathlessly, his eyes fluttering open in time to catch her staring at him with an open smile and seemingly no guard up. It sent a warmth through his chest as he tightened his arms around her and mirrored her adoring grin with one of his own. Before he could process what was happening, she was masterfully climbing over the center console and into the backseat, urging him to join her. “Uh…” Julien started, furrowing his brows as he glanced at the narrow space between the seats that she expected him to pull himself through, “one second.” There was no way he was going to gracefully get himself to her, so he quickly got out of the car and then immediately let himself in to the backseat. He wouldn’t admit it, but he was kind of nervous. If their meeting in Mr. Banks’ classroom was any indication of where this night was going, then they were about to go further than they ever had before. “Hi,” Julien said quietly once he scooted down the seat until one of her legs was behind him and the other was stretched across his lap. He angled his body towards her and met her lips gently, kissing her back until she pulled away only to tease him. “Yeah well,” he started with a chuckle, one arm snaking its way around her back while the other settled on her thigh, “we can’t all be flexible cheerios and stuff.” Julien then brought his lips to hers again and kissed her with the same urgency from when they were in the front seat. It didn’t take long for them to find their rhythm and soon enough, his instinct took over. He moved his lips against hers and when he inevitably pulled away to catch a breath, instead of pulling away completely, he started peppering kisses along her jaw and neck as his hand slowly trailed up her leg and past the pleats of her skirt. When Julien’s fingers touched the edge of her bloomers, he was jolted out of the moment by her hands pushing against his shoulders until he was completely off of her. “Wha—“ he started, very obviously taken aback by the sudden movement. An awkward silence filled the car as an unsavory feeling settled over them. Crap. Had he completely misread that situation? “Ivy,” he started, licking his lips as he felt his face get hot with embarrassment, “did…” did I do something? “are you okay?” A beat. “I’m sorry.” he said anxiously, heart rattling in his chest as he waited for her to say anything.
IVY: THE MOMENT IVY RELENTED WITH HER TEASING, she was happy to find julien's lips planted back on her own. it was like they hadn't spent that minute or two readjusting and they were right back where they started in the front seat. desperate kissing and motions paired with wandering hands, flushed cheeks, racing heartbeats, and all. ivy initially paid no mind to julien's hand slowly creeping up her leg and focused on the invisible trail his lips were leaving across both her neck and jaw. though as his hand travelled further and further along her skin, the delight in her breathlessness quickly shifted into a more panicked one. still, ivy tried to hold out. she liked julien, she liked making out with him, she'd been felt up before, she was probably just being dramatic. it wasn't until his fingertips reached the cloth that sat beneath her pleated skirt that her mind gave way to her hands and she shoved him off of her, frantically sitting up, and breathing heavily. it was like everything from the summer came flooding back with a single touch. being in the backseat of leo's car in the shawnee country club parking lot, driving to dayton with lemon, laying in bed despondent for days. she was panicking. both her thoughts and the world were blurry as she sat up and pressed her forehead into the head rest driver's seat. there she sat frozen, julien's words a mere echo as her pounding heart and ragged breaths flooded her ears. ivy wasn't sure how long she sat there motionless, both julien and james blake fading away while she waited for this shock to go with them. that same, nauseating, out of body feeling from the summer was haunting her as she closed her eyes and tried to get ahold of herself. there had to be something she could muster up and tell julien. god, he was probably so mad at her. guys always got mad when she backed out at the last minute. her and julien had yet to reach this point, so how could she know how he was going to react? from what ivy could figure, no discernable reaction was better than a blatantly angry one. letting oxygen into her lungs left her heart feeling crushed and crumpled like a discarded soda can, but she pulled it enough together to look over at julien with an apologetic gaze and oddly glassy eyes. "i'm. . ." sorry. the metaphorical cat had caught ivy's tongue, but one look at the other assured her that there was nothing to apologize for when it came to what had transpired. somehow, some way, the universe liked to play a funny trick where it brought julien to her side at her most vulnerable moments. this was okay. everything was okay. it was julien. still rattled, ivy sniffled a little and looked up at the ceiling of her car to combat potentially falling tears, "can you just like. . .i'm sorry, um," her voice crackled, sounding foreign in her own body. "can you just like. . . maybe hold me?" September 22, 2020
JULIEN: Ivy untangled herself from Julien with such a quickness that at first he wasn’t even sure what was happening. He tried his best not to make any sudden movements and watched closely as she pulled her legs away from him and sat with her forehead pressed against the head rest of the driver’s seat. There were a million thoughts swirling around his brain and almost all of them asked the same question: was Ivy okay? Despite this being his resounding thought, any and all comforting words melted on his tongue before he mustered up the courage to say them out loud. The playlist he’d put on earlier came to an end and a heavy silence filled the car. Julien had seen Ivy like this before. A few times. His eyes filled with concern and his heart broke at the sight of her. How could he have been so careless? So stupid? He was a teenage boy so of course he’d gotten excited at the possibility of taking their ‘thing’ to the next level, but this wasn’t right. If he was going to be with Ivy, he didn’t want the first time to be in the back of her car after a football game in a vacant parking lot. Before he could kick himself some more for this massive misstep, Ivy turned to look at him and almost instantly, his mind went quiet. He stared back at her with a soft expression and nodded slowly when she started to talk, wordlessly letting her know what whatever she was feeling was okay. “Can I what?” he asked gently, shaking his head once she apologized and opening his arms up for her the way he had so many times before. “You don’t have to apologize.” He scooted towards her until he was close enough to scoop her up the way a shovel does falling snow and whispered, “come here.” There was no urgency in his movement as he settled around her like a safety net and her head found a place to rest between his shoulder and chest. He wasn’t sure how long they sat there for—him hugging her tightly and occasionally pressing his lips to the top of her head while she slowly regulated her rugged breathing. But somewhere in the their silence, Julien discovered a simple truth about himself that he’d been contemplating for months. He was hopelessly and devotedly in love with Ivy St. James. He just was. There was no denying it. Once he felt her shoulders relax, he pulled away from her slightly until their eyes met. “Can I tell you something?” he asked, his voice cracking slightly as a nervous chuckle escaped him due to his newfound realization. “We could just do this,” he briefly gestured around her car with a shrug, “and I’d still feel like the luckiest guy at McKinley…or in Lima…honestly in all of Ohio probably.” That warm feeling he felt whenever they were together spread from his chest through the rest of his body as they gazed each other. “And I know…” he cleared his throat and gulped slightly, feeling his heart rate quicken as he carefully selected his next words, “we don’t ever really talk about all that stuff that happened over the summer…but we can. Or…you can. I’ll listen. If you want.” Julien caught himself rambling and squeezed his eyes shut, an embarrassed but bashful grin finding its way on to his face. “Sorry,” he said, cracking one eye open to look at her, “I’m talking too much.” With both of his eyes open now, he kept one arm around her and brought the other up to her cheek, strumming his thumb along her skin tenderly before he said, “I’m just happy to be here. Y’know…with you. That’s all I care about.”
IVY: IVY LIKED TO THINK SHE KNEW LOTS. she knew what colors best complimented her complexion and that flavored lip glosses were worth paying a little extra for. she knew she was talented and she knew she was popular. but more than all that, ivy knew without fail that julien's warm embrace was a near instant remedy to whatever might be troubling her on any given day. there was typically a residual feeling of stupidity that followed these kind of miniature breakdowns that ivy got from time to time. but laying in julien's arms, her head to his chest, and his heart pounding in her ear, that feeling never came. more than anything she felt safe. relieved, even, that julien hadn't freaked out at her for freaking out. he was so good like that. as she laid there comfortably against him, her breathing finally steadying, she couldn't help but think how good julien was. beyond being good to her, he always lead with kindness and his best foot forward and all these other qualities ivy admired so deeply, but never quite verbally expressed. making a silent promise to herself that some day she'd find the right words to say, ivy sniffled and readjusted so she could look up at julien. usually when his brown met her blue, a smile would tug up on those perpetually pouty lips of hers and all would feel right in the world. this go around, that wasn't the case, but it seemed her timing had been immaculate seeing as moments after their gazes locked, julien posed a *'can i say something?' to which ivy silently nodded. at first, she didn't exactly see where he was going, but once she did it at the very least broke up that frightened look in her eyes. there were lots of things that made ivy feel good. praise, her cheerios uniform, applause, the warmth of stage lights, and summer time, but none left her feeling both the secure and dizzy kind of good that julien schuester did. though she was still rattled, that distant feeling was being snuffed out by julien's beams of sun reflecting off the moon face of her heart. "don't apologize." she said softly, leaning into the tender touch. she still didn't sound quite herself, but it was better than the despondent shell that julien had been subjected to over the summer. if this wasn't progress what was? "i like when you like. . . talk a lot." ivy admitted, still uncharacteristically meek. "you're like. . . the only person who can keep up with me." she murmured, turning her head slightly to press a kiss to julien's palm. she couldn't quite find it in her to say thanks in the moment, so she figured for now a quick kiss would suffice. despite knowing the night would eventually come to an end, ivy wanted to remain in the backseat of her car with julien as long as she could. after another long period of staring ivy settled back into his arms and rested on his chest before whispering an affirming, "i'm like happy you're here too."
AND SCENE.
