MERA IVE BEEN HAVING THIS THOUGHT AND I THINK YOURE THE RIGHT PERSON TO SHARE IT WITH BC ITS SO PERFECT FOR THE TWEELS 😭

A long time ago, back when i was a teenager and still a wattpad girly, I read this one really good story called "Family Comes First" about a family of cannibals that lives in the middle of nowhere. They only keep boy children who are born, no daughters. Whenever a boy turns a certain age (I think 21 but I cant really rmbr), the father goes out to the nearest city, interviews girls under the guise of offering them a job, and kidnaps the best one as a birthday gift and bride. The mother-in-law teaches the new girl how to be a good wife (cleaning, cooking that strange meat, etc.), and the husband is otherwise responsible for his wife, to the point of selecting and laying out her clothing every morning. The ultimate honour is to birth a son, and so the husbands are CONSTANTLY trying to get their wives knocked up. I can't help but imagine Jade and Floyd in a story like this, it suits them perfectlyyyyy

In the book, one of the boys ended up catching feelings for brother's wife (the main character) instead of his own, and it causes fights serious drama in the family. This works so well with the recent ideas about Jade stealing Floyd's cute little wifey except it would be even better for them because they're twins and Jade can pull all his nasty tricks 😭 maybe when she finally gets knocked up with a son, they won't know who it belongs to, because he looks just like his daddy, but the potential daddies look the sammmeee OTZ

Oh oh oh and imagine if reader tries to escape and the family decides to let her try. Let her have fun. Hell, they even join in on the fun. She was blindfolded when they brought her and she's never been out of the house before, so she doesn't know her way around the woods, whereas the men in this family have been hunting humans for sport and food in these woods for generations. Now she's lost in the dark forest with daddy leech and the tweels rapidly closing in on her. She's going to be taught a lesson after they drag her home. After all, she lost the game, and losers never get rewards >_<

OHHH!!! Omg that concept is perfect for the tweels!!!! And they would absolutely draw out the chase in the forest just to scare you even more. Maybe then, after spending an entire day and night being hunted like a wild animal, you'll learn your home is with them. There's no point in running from your family, after all.

Hehe running from the three of them and you injure yourself, so now you're even more panicked because what if they can smell the cut on your leg? What if they can hear your pained grunts as you drag yourself along, limping through the forest? >_< omg and it doesn't matter who finds you; it's going to be frightening either way. Floyd who drags you out of your hiding place by the ankles, or Jade who stands over you as he patiently waits for you to take notice of him. Or Papa Leech wrapping you up in big, strong, scarred arms to carry you back to the house. Maybe you're kicking and screaming all the way, and it's useless to struggle because there's no one else out here for stretches. Just you and your family, who care so very much for you. You should be grateful! Mr. Leech's sons fight over you to be named your husband. Aren't you lucky to have the two of them? Most of all, aren't you lucky you're alive and not on their murderous menu?

AAAAAA and Papa Leech picks your clothes for you going forwards! They were far too patient and lenient with you before, far too forgiving. Now you're living under a new schedule, a fresh set of rules. Your clothes are selected for you, and your meals are prepared in advance (gone are the days in which you were given choices; each meal is healthy and has properties meant to boost your fertility). When you aren't learning to be the perfect housewife, you're getting bent over every possible surface and bred by the twins. Or if the twins can't behave, then maybe Papa Leech ought to knock you up instead........... thinking thoughts.

In conclusion, the entire family is crazy and you're stuck with them forever. orz

AW TEEHEE THANKYOU!!! its been a while since ive had the motivation to like, draw or write anything for em but rest assured im thinking about them so so so much... youve activated my autism trap card though i have an INSANE amount of convoluted opinions on the nature of character dynamics between sigma and sombra as well as sigma and moira and im taking this opportunity to babble about it. sorry in advance.

as for the interaction, personally im of the opinion that said 'tests' are literallly.... just tests. as in like, yknow, bloodwork, scans to make sure the implants and augments he has are actually working to redirect excess pressure and kinetic energy from his vital organs when using his abilities ... ive talked about how i think that sorta stuff works more in this post but tldr is that a lot of the tech and equipment hes using is of his own design and VERY experimental, hes pretty much flying blind here so he kind of has to make changes as he goes and so it's kinda important that his health and safety are taken into account. and he also has a bit of a uhhh. demonstrable history of disregarding his own safety for the sake of his research. it would kind of make sense that theyd be going out of their way to make sure someone stays on him about actually doing the damn tests and keeping track of the results. it just so happens that he's really averse to letting just anyone Examine (tm) him because of. yknow. the everything. and moira happens to fit the bill of being A. someone he feels he can trust to not take things too far (whether or not he's making a good choice here is up for debate, but i think he could do worse) and B. actually have a degree of knowing what she's doing. i definitely think that the only reason she's bothering at least initially is her own curiosity about everything he's got going on, but he also does just really feel like the type to jsut kind of naturally be very endearing . ive said before that a lot of their interactions read as playful to me, at least on his end - he DEFINITELY sounds like he's messing with her on purpose. i think he does genuinely regard her as a friend, and for the most part, he's probably right - even if she's a bit cranky about it. i have a LOT of thoughts about their relationship too honestly probably far too many to cram into this one post LMFAO i think about the dynamic a lot. im a moira apologist idc i think that she is capable of being nice sometimes. just because shes kind of a cunt sometimes doesnt mean shes needlessly cruel, like not only do i feel like messing with his head and experimenting on him given his history would be kinda kicking him while he's down. but ALSO, i feel like she's smart enough to know that making him an enemy would be a baaaad idea. he can literally explode people with his mind. she knows better than to give him any reason to be genuinely mad at her, and i do think he would absolutely NOT tolerate any kind of treatment like that ever again unless it was on his terms and he had the power to just leave if it got to be too much. even as it is, i think the entire process is a bit of a sore spot for him and not exactly something he's thrilled about, hence his hesitation in that interaction - not because it's happening against his will so much as he's regarding it the same way i think about having to go get blood drawn. it's not fun, but it's gotta happen somehow.

all that to say, i think upon overhearing discussion of said 'tests' without further context mattra would NOT be happy about it, likely getting defensive the same way sombra does. he'd probably be a lot harder to dissuade than she is tbh, i dont know if he'd really take moira's word for it that there's nothing underhanded going on here unless sig told him so himself, and even then it would still put his hackles up. he's probably very nosy about it for a very long time. just to be safe.

as far as nicknames/pet names go, in my mind theyre both very... awkward about these kinda things i guess if that makes sense? emotional vulnerability comes easily for NEITHER of them, between sig still recovering from decades of isolation and mattra just naturally being very guarded and bitter (for good reason!) and not used to outwardly expressing his care for others, especially not for some random human who seems to have decided that they're friends. to me, their dynamic is very much one of tentativeness and battling with distrust and insecurity. i think it would take a very, very long time to get there, and even longer to actually be able to casually say stuff like that without wanting to explode and die on the spot. i do think sig is a bit more outwardly affectionate than mattra, but even then, a lot of it is kinda tempered by the fact that he's just very forward with everyone about everything at this point - he's kind of desperate for positive connections with others that he can hold onto, so he's reached a point where it doesn't take much to get him to consider someone a friend and he's not exactly hiding it anymore. oh, i dropped something and you picked it up before i had a chance to? sick, we are now besties and i would kill for you.

i think that sort of attitude would catch ramattra off guard and he'd not really know how to react to any of it. sig could call him anything at this point, but if it's in an affectionate tone he WILL bluescreen about it. ramattra.exe has encountered an error and must restart

i do really like sig's valentines voiceline, so i might just roll with 'starlight' even if it's a bit cheesy... hell, now that i think about it, i think he'd do that specifically BECAUSE it's cheesy and will probably elicit an eye-roll or a 'stop that'. he seems to enjoy pushing people's buttons. maybe bothering his friends is his love language idk

3. What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?

Ohhh I love all of my fics I truly do ;-; that being said though it would be illegal if i didnt say True Vengeance given that. Ive spent two and a half years so far writing it and i think about it Literally every day LMAO. “Favorite” simply does not encompass everything i feel about it ;_;

14. If you could see one of your fics adapted into a visual medium, such as comic or film, which fan fic would you pick?

Also True Vengeance !!! It would make the movie ever djdjdjdkdk. Okay for reals though, I do have like some half baked thoughts about doing a comic version of it (mostly as a long term way to improve my drawing skills) so. Who knows..?? Keep an eye out maybe. In like a few years xjxjdjdk.

15. How do you come up with titles for your fics/chapters?

Ooohh so some of them are really important and i know them incredibly well in advance. Sometimes im just like “eh yeah thats good enough.” I generally enjoy it when my titles (fic or chapter) have more than one meaning… thats good shit right there. I do have a certain chapter title scheme for my victor exchange fics, which is fun (its just a relevant noun for each but it looks cool trust me).

My fic titles generally just come to me in a burst of insight and im like ok yeah. Thats it right there, and i just Know. Sorry if thats like. Not helpful 😭 ik when i was picking my title for True Vengeance I certainly did not have as much of the story thought out as it is now so. It ended up working out really neatly (also its vague enough that i could work with it xkdkdk)

There Have been times where ive upset myself negatively though and. Do not recommend !!! Be careful out there kids ;-; i will say though, sometimes it can be a really good experience to work through something via writing, but still its beneficial to be cautious and take care of yourself♥️

Cryptolalia - Kimon (alien race)

this is pretty short but, ive written all i could think of for Theo's species. i dont need too much tbh as the set up for his race means i probably wont be diving deeper into it (and its not the point of his story). but still, fun to imagine, and i will probably draw up a simple species reference sheet sometime!

Theo Cadet is of an alien race called Kimons. They resemble humanoids with rabbit-like features; flat noses, short tails and tall ears. They are considered a nomadic race with no homeplanet- but that is due in part to their planet being taken over by a tyranical alien race called Vulrol. They had been explorers prior, but completely abandoned their home system once it had been taken over. Much of their history has been lost, the race scattered across the galaxy. As a species, their appearance started to vary as they mingled with other species of similar makeup- but the race still reflects their rabbit appearance and light colors and thin fur.

The kimons can from a very hot planet covered in mostly sand and harsh cliffs. They adapted to living underground, and their fur was incredibly pale as to not attract more heat. They made significant solar powered advancements in their technology within their societies. Their star was situated between a few popular trade routes, and over many years attracted lots of solar debris from nearby travelers- much of it crashing onto the surface of their home in their years of evolution. Their home planet, Yuno, become a collage of styles as the kimons used space debris to build shelters- namely ones outside where the parts would not be affected by the heat of the blazing sun. Refurbishing scrapes, their underground cities are a strange mix of their own solar powered tech and that of aliens they never knew.

With Yuno being located in a hot spot for trade and travel, it didn't take long for neighbors to take note of them once they evolved to space exploration. Waiting til then, they were unbothered. But not long into their development past the stars, the kimon were threatened by the Vulrol. There was no war, just a surrender as the peaceful kimon were to inexperienced to know how to handle it. But they could not tolerate the other race as they forced labor and took resources, causing many to leave instead of stay. Sadly for them, it simply left the Vulrol to scour the solar system for resources, as no leadership was left to manage the mess between the kimon and vulrol.

Kimons are often short, ranging from 4'5 to 5'2. But after needing to leave their home, growth would get taller with the tallest being 5'8. Their fur colors were often light and blue-toned and their eyes dark. They have stripes on their backs, and short tails. In time after the takeover, their fur started to darken and more mutations would also show up and become more common. Long tails, short ears, different tones, eyes colors, and so on.

While the race may be scattered across the galaxy, communities still exist- generally on space stations. There exist space stations dedicated to Kimon life, where many gather to exchange information and indulge in culture. The kimon are often seen as inventors, carrying on their old interest in refurbishing scrap and working it into their own designs.

I had a whole ass heart attack 😎 honestly, cant believe anyone would actually talk about me? Like, to anyone? And thank you! When i drew the one in te back it was for filler becuase that side looked uber empty, and then i got attached, he is my favorite as well.

Now that ship came becuase i was making two seperate doodles but donna looked like she was looking at the agent, and then my crack ship became, my ship.

In fact i drew it again, becuase you reminded me of it, and i got motivation lmao. I love cuter ships becuase as much as i love angst, i have ocs for that.

Okay, so, with all yall saying you talk about it, i got super excited and happy so with this one, i told my friend and i was just being dumb in general lol. The History behind the Fiction (aka doing tons of research for my don’t starve fancomic)

Howdy to all my friends and readers!!!! I’m real glad y'all are enjoying my Western AU! Ive got a lot of stories planned for this world and I hope yall will stick around for em all! 

I don’t know if you can tell....but I love the old west. It’s one of my special interests since i was a little kid!!! Naturally, since I love the old west- I like to go out of my way to learn as much as I can about it! 

Lord there’s a lot to learn though- Sorry if this post doesn't cover all my research- but if y'all have any questions please feel free to ask!! (Its gonna be a long infodump post- so be warned!)

First off Id like to talk about the characters and the setting!

I decided to set the story in the early to mid 1870s in Texas, in the fictional town of Constant. Also known as the Gilded age, post Civil War America was a period of rapid economic growth, expansion and innovation. It was also a time when many of the Old west’s most famous legends were active, and making a name for themselves! Think Red Cloud, Wild Bill Hickok, Wyatt Earp, Calamity Jane, etc. 

Anyways, theres a lot of good material to draw inspiration from in this era, so thats what I did!!

Wilson is a newly graduated doctor- which i found fitting for him due to his love of science and scientific advancements. 

(here is my first sketch of him!!! and his outfit!!!) 

Ready made clothing was common in this era, and since wilson is relatively short- he wears elastic sleeve garters to keep his sleeves the appropriate length!

I havent shown many of his tools in the comic yet- but I frequently reference this catalogue of medical equipment to inform the procedures!

I have a book of the history of costume that let me get a good sense of the different styles of dress between working class men and upper class men in the era, but I also frequently referenced this 1873 publication of the west-end gazette

Here are the images that I partially designed Wilson and Maxwells Costumes from

Maxwell is a wealthy Rancher with lots of land , living just outside of the town of Constant. Beef was in VERY high demand, and Maxwell makes his fortune by managing Longhorns. 

Max went through a couple of iterations where I tried to incorporate his victorian skin hairstyle, but I found that it didn’t fit the era very well, based on hairstyles seen in photographs during the era. Plus, I feel that the heat of the southern united states would probably not fare well with poor old max. 

His brother Jack lives in San Fransisco- and has made his fortunes through his shipping company- which primarily exports goods from California to New York City. He lives in a comfortable home with his wife and children- but ever since Abigail died, Wendy has been acting strangely. 

Wendy is one of my favorite characters to draw and write for, as well as one of the most fun characters to research for!!! She is in mourning, for her dear departed sister Abigail. her bonnet is based on those found in the M’me Demorest of winter 1860.  (no reason to have a new bonnet when your old one will suffice)

I dress her plainly in the comic, and a bit behind the fashions of the times due to her associations with her family’s wealth and image, and the demise of Abigail. Her dress is shaped after those from the late 1860s-1870s. 

(I have lots of resources for women’s fashions during this era and way more- but I have found the delineator , M’me. Demorest’s Mirror of Fashions, and Godey’s Lady’s book to be some of the best resources for fashion and cultural references of the times!!!)

Usually mourning for a sibling is worn for 6 months, but Wendy definitely feels that her grief is enough to wear mourning forever.

Before she was in mourning though- she and Abigail would sport the latest in young ladies fashions!  Here they are sporting an Alice style hair ribbon, and a lovely dress found in the met’s fashion plate collection  as well as a lovely American casket

Aside from fashion, I try my best to keep the set dressing accurate! and it’s not just about props, but about the actual architecture that the characters inhabit. 

The Carter ranch house is based on the floor plans that can be found in Hobbs’s Architecture  - (jump to page 196 to see the house i modeled the residence after specifically)

The carriage too- can be found here in Brewster & Baldwin’s illustrated Catalogue !

The interior of Mr. Carter’s Home is decorated in Gothic Revival style- as can be seen in the details on the banister, as well as the ornament found in the furniture in his study. Some elements, such as his easy chair, are based on regency furniture. I find it would be too unrealistic for a crotchety old man in the American west to be entirely on top of the latest interior decorations, and besides- why throw out a perfectly good chair? 

I designed his carpet myself based on english needlepoint rugs made during the gothic revival era, and as with Maxwell’s tea cups and the wallpaper in the hallway, decorated it with patterns based on the evil flowers of don’t starve. 

The sconces,  doorknobs  curtains are also based on productions from the era, though I confess that I have lost a few of my sources. (I’ll try my best to find them though!!)

LUPIN III CRASH COURSE

I’m sorry that this is so long.. and consider I cut it down! but here is my intro because I know this franchise is huge and confusing!! (I’ve had multiple instances of friends being like ‘I tried to find that Lupin thing you like but I could only find the third one?’) 

I kind of liken it to Scooby Doo? it stretches some 60 years and has been handled by many different writers, directors, and animators across very different eras? most important to know! the order doesn’t really matter and things aren’t really sequential (save for where the three most recent shows) so you can jump in and explore whatever seems compelling! it’s overwhelming because there is so much but also nice because there’s something for everybody! if you like fun and pure, edgy, etc. etc. 

feel free to disregard everything coming… I will say my personal priority order is

- Castle of Cagliostro

- some episode of part 2

- part IV, ideally all of it! there’s filler but it’s hard to know which ones

- part I (or some episodes of it? up to you!)

- Fuma Conspiracy

- part V 

- part III (it’s great too!! just not as sequential as IV and V)

- First Contact… truly indulgent but its so cute!

(below I broke down a little about each and my favorite episodes, where to find them, etc. and there’s so much more but just doing everything below is a whole lot)

Part 1 (1971) - crunchyroll!

The beginnings kind of a weird feeling because the first half was directed with one vision vs. the second half being co-directed by Takahata and Miyazaki, there’s a shift in Lupin’s personality and most significantly they sought to shed his ‘sense of apathy’ and make him more of a hero? something that’s echoed later on! honestly, I don’t think the transition is as dramatic as some people find it? but it does shift across the episodes and end on a sweet note!

truly they all have something to enjoy but I made note of 

episodes 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 19, 23 

for some reason? really really suggest watching the last episode! but get a bit of the first and second half beforehand!

Part II/Red Jacket (1977-80) - 155 episodes - on crunchyroll dubbed and subbed

there are a lot so I tried to narrow it down to a few of my favorites/ particularly noteworthy ones? I bolded my absolute favorites! I’m sure I missed a few but save for a few two-episode arcs you can jump in anywhere and it’ll be fine.

episodes 1-79 are dubbed on Crunchyroll! In my personal opinion the script makes it worth it!! there are a bunch of non-dubbed episodes anyway if you want to get a feel for both

9 - ‘Steal the FIle M123’ - this dub… madness. very strange Christopher Walken impression for absolutely no reason?

15 - ‘Crude Reproduction, Perfect Frame’ - Lupin keeps committing strange and uncharacteristic crimes, but he has no memory of doing so!

29 - ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ - Lupin has some mysterious Levitation Technique and everyone is after it 

32 - ‘Lupin the Interred’ A famed hitman is after Lupin!

34 - ‘But Your Brother Was Such A Nice Guy’ - this episode is one of the zaniest ones and that’s saying a lot… Vampires? Jesus? Really really funny moments though especially in the dub

42 - ‘Cruisin’ in Drag’ Lupin infiltrates the ship of a wealthy bachelor disguised as a woman 

45 - ‘Diamonds and Minx’ kind of a mess of people stealing from each other? 

46 - ‘The Island of Dr. Derange’

57 - ‘Alter-Ego Maniac’ - Inspector Zenigata goes criminal

62 - ‘Church of the Poison Mind’ - Jigen and Goemon stumble into a religious cult

69 - ‘Zenigata Getcha Into My Life’ - this title is awful but this episode is great. 

78 - ‘Ice, Robot’ - an inventor has made a machine that can cry diamonds!

79 - ‘Baton Death March’ 

81 - ‘Fujiko, Men are a Sorry Lot!” - Fujiko gets engaged to a Prince, the rest of the gang goes after the monarchy’s Golden Bell

96 - ‘Lupin’s Gourmet World’ tbh this is a vore episode but there are some great gang moments here and a really fun third act

99 - ‘Fighting Jigen’ - first anime episode (I think like in history? but I could’ve misread) in stereo! And I believe the first to air of the TMS staff’s work, you can tell because the style shifts to a more Miyazaki/Cagliostro look and this will keep happening for the rest of the show

101 - ‘Fervent Love at Versailles’ - a crossover episode with Rose of Versailles! 

103 - ‘The Wolf Looked at an Angel’ - Goemon is an angel I can say little else

104 - ‘The Most Dangerous Golden Bed’ - debut of perhaps the best opening! I love this episode?? so much?

112 - ‘Danger! Goemon’ 

122 - ‘An Unusual End to an Expedition for Napoleon’s Treasure’ 

143 - ‘The Miami Bank’ 

145 - ‘Wings of Death: Albatross’ - ah yes, one of the famed Miyazaki-directed episode, truly so worth it

151 - ‘To Arrest Lupin, the Mission at the Highway’ - another not exactly Miyazaki episode but a lot of the people he trained? They depart from the part 2 style(s) again but its a good bit of fun all around! Really lovely character animation

152 - ‘Jigen and the Hatless Pistol’ - Jigen loses his hat and thus his ability to shoot

155 - ‘Thieves Love the Peace/Farewell, Dear Lupin’ - the finale episode! Miyazaki-directed as well, and just beautiful 

Part III (1984) - 50 episodes - crunchyroll!

I’m still very early in this one so I can’t say much yet! But it gets a bad rep? Perhaps for being more inconsistent stylistically and a bit on the zanier end! But I really like it!! these drawings are such a blast! I think each bit has its merits and this one is no exception. Plus with all their freedom animation-wise they can do a lot of fun stuff!

The Woman Called Fujiko Mine (2012) - 13 episodes - on kissanime for certain and I think animetake?

this is the most dramatic departure from the rest of the shows/films/specials. Fujiko Mine is the star of this part! It definitely has less obviously plot-important episodes but it’s one narrative from start to finish. I must note that it’s by far Lupin’s edgiest, I think it’d be safe to deem this part as R-Rated. There’s sex, violence, sexual violence, abuse, bodily mutilation, obsession… a gay character who gets a pretty tragic fate (at first I was excited by the very existence of an LGBT+ character but he really goes through the wringer and never gets a resolution.. I don’t want to spoil). This is probably Lupin at his ickiest? I do like Jigen’s personality here! And his dynamic with Fujiko, but it’s a lot more disjointed than the other parts. She meets each of them separately and towards the end, Lupin and Jigen interact more but there’s barely a time when they’re all together. That’s not meant to be a deterrent but personally, I’m a sucker for their friendship and love them as a group so it’s a bit of a bummer. Sequential plot-wise though! This one is definitely captivating, a bit disturbing, and there is a plot-twist that really got me. The villain design is really cool too!

Part IV (2015) - 26 episodes - on crunchyroll, also dubbed on Funimation

This part is narrative-based and sequential! It still has some more standalone episodes but there’s definitely an overarching story throughout! I think they’re all worth watching and might leave little important bits that’ll be confusing later on. Essentially this part takes place in Italy for the most part and starts with Lupin getting married to a multi-millionaire heiress/model/celebrity who wants to get into the thief business. This one feels like a good combination of old and new, it’s not quite as silly as the earlier parts can be, but it’s full of nostalgia while still feeling original. I really had a good time!

This dub isn’t bad but!! It comes with a different opening and soundtrack, I guess Lupin’s pretty big in Italy and perhaps there were licensing issues? I’m not sure? But it’s a bit of a bummer to be without the Yuji Ohno soundtrack. The alternate opening feels more like a collection of stills and footage found throughout the show? It’s not horrible, just different! Regardless, the Part IV Japanese OP (vs. the Italian/US one) is worth a watch!

Part V (2018, airing on Adult Swim right now, summer 2019!) - 23 episodes 

I’m actually not done with this part but its good fun! more directly tied to part iv then the others are to each other. It’s more sequential as well with a few sub-arcs and since it fell on the franchise’s anniversary it has callback episodes with Lupin in various jackets in various tones. Interesting Lupin characterization here… he seems… sadder, wistful? and we get hints of Lupin lore! Lots of fanservice but… I love it! I still think they could’ve pushed it more? it feels somehow more reserved than part IV in some ways, which is already different from the 70s and 80s, but it’s got a lot of lovely moments!!

Films/TV Specials

From 1989 to 2011 they had a special every year!! So much!

Castle of Cagliostro (1979) - Available on Netflix! 

perhaps the best-known piece of media in the Lupin franchise? And rightly so. This film is Hayao Miyazaki’s directing debut and a blast from start to finish! This characterization of Lupin is definitely Miyazaki’s more than Monkey Punch’s but that seems to be the strange nature of the Lupin franchise! I could really go on forever… please watch it!

The Fuma Conspiracy (1987) - 

perhaps harder to find, but it’s on Kissanime! Goemon is getting married but before the ceremony is over the bride is taken by the Fuma ninja clan and the gang helps him to get her back as well as learn the story of a family heirloom? Really great stuff from everybody! Adorable Zenigata, the fluffiest and most handsome Goemon, cute Jigen, Fujiko, and Lupin interactions, a really really incredible car chase! Even with Cagliostro’s fame, this one has got some serious pizzazz

Episode 0: The First Contact (2002) - on Kissanime as well! 

A journalist asks Jigen how he met Lupin III, this is probably my favorite TV special? And features one of my favorite opening scenes in the whole franchise. The instrumental!! Perhaps each member of the gang at their purest, whatever that means, really great moments between everybody and peak Lupin and Jigen meeting and somehow signing up to be life partners

I saw a message in my inbox that dissapeared??? I think it was about transfer credits, time management, and art school advice.

I'd call the school you want to go to and ask about credits, ask specifically about what your major requires. If you go the art program route you'll probably have way more credits transfer than art school. A lot of the gen ed classes at art school are art related, so it'll only take off like 4 classes and then you still got a ton in whatever you specialize in. But that still depends on the major. Like for me, I only had one drawing class, but 5 design classes and they all count as gen ed. Someone in Illustration or Architecture will probably have to take more. If you find out you do, see if the credits can transfer from your college and knock out what you can in regular classes and drawing.

I've never been good at time management and I often have done my work last minute but I've been somewhat taking care of everything and I'm proud of myself. My free time is like 15 minutes a day now, but im not rushing to do everything before 11:59 so its an improvement. What helped was setting a work time, but also knowing where my breaks were. Its easier for me to say ill work at 3 when i know ill have free time at 4:30. If you're a schedule person, that can be nice, if you're like me and you can't then just make a general to do list in order of when things are do, whats the hardest, etc. There's some people who are gonna say "if you manage your time its easy" and like yeah but let's be real thats not gonna happen akwjejdjsnwbs. Its a big commitment, and if you're depressed or have executive function issues its A LOT. Its not impossible though, you just have to be honest in advance about what you need to do to get by.

Don't be afraid to drop that class during add/drop. You're paying all that money don't convince yourself you gotta suffer through a professor youre getting bsd vibes from

Utilize rate my professors, but don't be super fearful of the ones with mid-tier ratings, they're often really nice but a little confusing.

Talk to your professors about any difficulties you have, your mental state or disability isn't an excuse so don't make yourself feel bad for needing to do things certain ways to be successful.

Use all your resources, you're paying to use that giant poster printer, you're paying for the fancy library, use it!

Make as much friends as possible because imma keep it real with you,,,,,its all about who you know. Yes skill and talent is great, but it honestly comes second to connections.

Don't buy supplies before class, I'm a 3rd year and like 2 of my professors have genuinely used the textbook on the supply list. They're required to put a book there, wait until class to see if you genuinely need it.

ALSO DON'T BUY THE FUCKING SUPPLIES FROM THE SCHOOL STORE. THEY'RE ROBBING YOU, THOSE COLOR PENCILS DO NOT COST THAT MUCH. That is all 😊.

I'm gonna be real, there's some wildly rich people here that are very flippant with school and they're fun to be around but don't kick it with them too hard unless you know how to manage yourself. Don't put your scholarship, money, and GPA on the line to go partying 24/7 and don't feel guilty about telling them no. If you can't afford to go to the fancy restaurant, they'll change plans if they really want you there.

On the subject of rich people, don't feel bad if you're not. Theres more people like you that are middle class or poor, the really loudly money people make it seem like you're not but trust me there's a lot of us lol.

I know I'm hypocritical because I just said I don't have free time and its hard but please make time for yourself. Ive seen so many people kill their mental state and sleep cause they're constantly working. My school has a mad high suicide rate, so please please PLEASE put yourself before school. The job will come, the people will come, that momentarily loss in a grade is not worth your mental state or life.

I saw a Summoner asks thing and decided it'd be fun to do, bit late but who cares?

Might as well make this my first lengthy post

@erachas-faithful’s post gave me the questions I use here, so go check ‘em out

(No drawings because I have no artistic skill whatsoever and don't have the means for a commission, prepare to read, a lot, you’ve been warned)

My Summoner’s name is Jackson, he’s got dirty blond hair and Emerald-green eyes, slightly clumsy and odd but can be scarily efficient when shtick hits the proverbial fan, he’s a rather anxious lad but also kind-hearted and hard-working (and just the tiniest bit cowardly)

how he came to Askr is the way pretty much every other summoner did, how it happened was beyond him and he was minding his own business when it did. but where most summoners would probably have a graceful or cool entrance when they pop in my guy falls flat on his face, probably not a first here but I find it gives him character

His hobbies include reading, writing in a journal Sharena gave him, exploring the castle and forest, and making new tactics (some of the heroes also give him phyiscal training). Not much else to say about that

He’s got some bad habits that are seen in-game, like overworking himself and not getting enough sleep, he also has confidence issues and a tendency to hide his negative emotions. Along with that, he has a hatred of “showing weakness”, like crying, being visibly shaken or sad, it gets to the point where he’ll hide what he minor wounds (which just makes most of the clerics worried as hell)

He’s generally very close with his heroes, at least when he can get through to them, he gets along naturally with the good guys (and on some occasions, some of the Villains), some of the colder heroes will eventually warm up to him and all that. and there are others, like B!Lyn or Camilla, his first two summons, who have gotten extremely close to him, but all-in-all most of the heroes he summons take to him rather well

He has some innate talent when it comes to tactics but when he starts out he’s not all that good, but when he summons some other tacticians he gets some tutoring and help with all that.

How long he’s been Summoner, about two to three years, he’s used to it by now

It took some definite getting used to but he’s adjusted better than Anna expected

B!Lyn, she was his very first summon after all

Time, the fact that he’s rather helpless in battle made her protective, they work well together, there’s also this one time she accidentally forced the two of them to chase someone through small, tight, caverns. which is how she learned that Jackson has Claustrophobia. it all just kinda bubbled up until it finally boiled over

Camilla, Tiki and Fae, Sakura, Fjorm, Eir, Marth, Eliwood, Hector, and L!Ike, but these are more Familial-type than Romantic

For #15, I don’t do supports all that often (please don’t lynch me)

He misses the tech the most, going from a highly advanced society like ours today to a much more primitive one like Askr’s is one of the two things that threw him off the most

He’d probably bring his dog if he can manage it

He had his robe modified, with help from Oboro to make the sleeves less unwieldy, they’re now small enough to be tucked under his gloves which go somewhat past the wrist.

19 is kinda confusing to me. if it’s talking about the other summoners I’m friends with on Tumblr, it’d be a whopping 0. if you want I could list the other OC summoners that I’ve made alongside this dorkus summoner of mine

he takes off the Jacket/Cloak/Whateverthehellyoucallit, which just leaves his pants, boots, and undershirt (which I like to think is sleeveless). on colder days when that isn’t really smart, he’ll wear a sweater that the Heroes made for him

My headcanon is that he doesn’t really summon duplicates (unless, say, it’s a possessed alt like Berukt or Celica, and some other exceptions) any other Alts are simply the same hero changing clothes or weapons, and summonings aren’t as common as they appear to be in-game. sending them home, however, is another thing. since there aren’t any duplicates or alts, and IVs aren’t really a thing, the hero has to do something unforgivable to be sent home, like betray them or raze a village or something. he only did this twice, to Arvis and Michalis

Jackson isn’t that good of a fighter and doesn’t own a weapon, he’s being trained by the Heroes to fight but he doesn’t own a weapon or have any special ability besides Briedabilk and summoning

If he can get his hands on a good, sturdy weapon, he can indeed hold his own fairly well. but he’s only good enough to defend himself long enough for a hero (mostly Lyn, but occasionally its other Heroes) to swoop in and cut them down

I’ve currently got 194 heroes under my belt

For me, Book 2 was probably the one that hit me hardest, for Jackson it’s probably Book 3

Sword user, Red mage, Or Archer

Any of the colder, crueler heroes he clashes with the most, people like Ursula and Arvis, some more recent examples also include Death Knight and Kronya

Lyn, because best Waifu, there’s also Marth and Fjorm too.

The heroes I get a lot Gwendolyn, Marth (Ironically), Gordin, and a few others I can’t be bothered to remember

Jackson has “officially” adopted nobody, but the ones he’s pretty much adopted are Fae, Tiki, Nowi, both Kanna, Sakura, Myrrh, Tiny Azura, Ninian, Yglr, B!Veronica, and Maria

He doesn’t often unless his other Summoner friends drag him along to one

Not a clue who I want to see next, maybe Mila, if that would work

He might actually go with Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector back to their world, either that or they all adopt a nomadic life and just jump around worlds like a Multiversal, but much smaller version of the Greil Mercenaries (but out of the options, he’d probably go with Askr)

Jackson’s family would be significantly surprised, he’s gone for years and then shows back up one day with some weird-ass clothes and a girlfriend, they would ultimately be very happy for him though, albeit sad that he has no intention of staying.

And finally, I’m gonna re-state the question here

If Jackson could change just one thing? he might just undo that mess with Arvis and Michalis, otherwise, nothing at all.

Paulie adjusted the camera, sticking her tongue out in the process. She's standing in her kitchen, wearing her pink apron.

"Is this thing on?" Paulie muttered to herself, before noticing the blinking red light, "Oh! Okay!"

She took a step back. She's standing behind a counter.

"Hi! I'd really like to be on Total Drama! I'm really cool and strong and I bake really awesome cookies-"

Paulie picks up a pan of cookies, forgetting the fact that they are freshly out of the oven and she isn't wearing any oven mitts. She shouts as she drops the pan, and shouts as it presumably hits her leg.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" She chants as she hops around, "Oh, I'm so stupid-"

Her hopping around shakes the camera, which falls over and breaks.

"Oh, dangit!"

Biography: Paulie came from a Bad Neighbourhood(tm) and used to be the Baddest Bitch Around(tm), breaking noses and taking names until she accidentally hurt someone so bad that they went into a coma. The sudden introspective that moment gave her forced her to rethink her entire life. Since then, she's turned her entire personality around, turning from "I'll cut you" to "Let's bake cookies!". She doesn't talk about her past much, but she still lives in the slums lol!! Family: A dad who's probably nice. Idk i dont think about family much I always prioritize friendships Strategy: PSHAWWWW who needs that?? Paulie's strategy is to just make friends and be nice! It worked for Owen, right? Ive been trying to get into commander recently but have been struggling to get a deck right due to my inexperience with the pace of edh, along with my tendancy to play agro. What things do u think about and prepare when making a deck for the commander enviroment?

That’s a really good question.

To begin with, you’re right, commander often has a very different pace than other formats. The fact that it’s often played in multiplayer groups, combined with the higher starting life total, means that flooding the board with efficient creatures or constantly trying to focus down one of your opponents usually isn’t enough.Trust me, I’ve tried.

Unless you’re playing 1v1 competitive Commander, the format is very much to be played in the mid to late game. So, the early turns should be spent setting up for something bigger. You’ll want to ramp a lot, either with land or artifacts (or both). I try to run about 15 ways to get extra mana in any given deck, in addition to around 35 Land. So yeah, that’s half the deck right there. That’s not to say you shouldn’t use any small creatures, but you’ll want them to serve some sort of purpose beyond attacking, or have a useful ability. You won’t see a lot of people running Elite Vanguard.

In addition to mana ramp, you want to draw cards. Some colours do this better than others, but you can generally find some way to help keep your hand full. This part of the deck is more difficult to put a number on, it really depends on how quickly you play things. Try to find ways to draw cards consistently though, rather than in one-time amounts. Not that draw spells are bad to have, sometimes a quick three extra cards in your hand is just what you need, but permanents that draw an extra card per turn really pay off in the long run.

Board-wipes are also huge. There’s always that one player who gets off to a fast start, and in those cases all you can really do is destroy everything. My general rule is to run two or three board wipes in every deck (in addition to a few kill/counter spells). I want to have options, but I also don’t want to be “that guy” who wipes the field every turn. People have more fun if they can actually play the game.

Finally, there’s the commander and commander-accessories. I’d imagine most commander decks are built around the commander in some way, so those cards should take up a large portion of your deck. Now that you have mana and some sort of draw engine, this is where you get to ask yourself “how do I want to win?” By playing a bunch of equipment/auras/tokens and attacking? With a combo? Or is winning not a priority, and you just want to mess with people? To me, the best thing about Magic is how you can do pretty much whatever you want. This portion of your deck takes a ton of playtesting to get right though, so I don’t know if I can help you much here. Rarely have I ever gotten a deck right on the first try. Add cards that you think will be good, or that have effects your deck needs more of, and ditch cards that you find yourself never playing. The advanced search function on Gatherer is an excellent resource to find specific card effects, and EDHREC is useful to see what kinds of cards other people use most commonly with any given commander. I spend a lot of time on both those sites whenever I build a new deck.

Alright, I think that pretty much outlines my entire thought-process behind building a deck. Really, the biggest thing I can stress is to just try stuff. Sometimes I spend months playing a new deck exclusively, just to iron out the issues. My latest deck, Shu Yun, took a lot of work before I was happy with it, let me tell you.

Dimension Wave  Chapter 27 — Going on the Offensive

The arrival of Tsugumi… and the rest of the reinforcements turned the whole situation around.

Our lack of numbers was instantly no longer a problem. Mages and archers were very popular with their wide-area skills. They probably don’t get the chance to use them every day.

‘Different enemies are showin’ up!’

Things were getting interesting. I’m sure not everybody agrees, but I get the most excited in fighting games when my opponents and I are neck and neck. Stomping or being stomped by the other side isn’t fun at all. That’s why right now, things were interesting. The difficulty is just right. It’s now evenly matched.

“… now where’d they go?”

As our reinforcements arrive, the more chaotic the battlefield became. The noise of metal clashing against each other, the whistling on arrows in flight, and magic explosions create a sea of sound. We advanced and attacked to the sound of shouting voices and death rattles. I expected to lose my party members in this chaos. What are they up to now? Well, obviously, fighting.

‘This is A6! We’re nearing the towers from the center!’

The people here on the right flank burst out cheering. We met up at a crossroads at B5 and now we’re racing towards the ominous black tower. The path was littered with the remains of Dimensional Skeletons, Dimensional Beasts, and Dimensional Beetles.

I cast my gaze upwards at the tower. We must be like ants crowding around this tower of sugar. If my hypothesis is correct, then we’ll win by destroying this tower. We’re at the verge of victory, even though we were at the brink of destruction when the enemies swarmed us. Maybe I should get ready to set sail again tomorrow. Shouko and the rest of them must be gradually farming more Energy right now.

“That was… quicker than I had imagined.”

As the tower fell, ominous orbs of purplish black exploded from the center. There were players who succumbed to explosion and died. I couldn’t see well through the cloud of dust, but there was some kind of boss monster that appeared.

‘This is A6! The tower exploded and a monster sho—argh!”

His final moments were broadcasted throughout the map. Things were heating up again.

‘Its arm… there’s a rift opening up from its arm.’

The dust settled to reveal a monster covered in black hair, swinging his great arms tipped with razor-sharp claws. Many of the men on our side were torn apart by the monster. It definitely looked stronger than the Lizardman Dark Knight from before. Well, it’d be rude to even compare the two.

… even the ones in the heaviest armor fell to the monster. I didn’t want to imagine how much damage it’d do to me. I’d be lucky if a single hit were to deal damage in the thousands, or at least that’s what I assumed. Surely, it wouldn’t be here for long. A crackling of electricity sounded as it pried open the dimensional rift.

‘Let us attack it at range! Fall back, men!’

It wasn’t long until the arrows and spells started flying at the monster. We had no choice but to do that, even if it meant dealing little damage to it. Oh, most of the vanguard were withdrawing to let the rearguard attack, but there were a few who stayed at the front.

“… well, that’s no surprise.”

Among the ones who stayed were Shouko and Tsugumi. Since most of Shouko’s attacks are AoE, her damage output wasn’t that great. However, her folding fan was one of the lightest weapon classes in the game which—combined with her light armor—made her very effective at dodging attacks. She made great use of her skills to attack and dance around the enemy.

On the other hand, Tsugumi’s scythe had a lot of range as well. I’ve heard that it was great for mobbing mooks, though I’m not too familiar with them. The downsides are that it’s weaker for single-target attacks and its weight. But the biggest downside is that scythe skills consume an extreme amount of MP. They say scythes don’t get good gas mileage.

“Guess I have to go over and help too, eh?”

Shouko’s striking kimono will probably draw in Yamikage and Sheryl as well. They’ll definitely give me crap if I were to shirk away now. Alright, let’s go! No, wait, hold on. I’ve gotta have a plan if I’m going to go up close to the boss. I’m not happy about it, but I’m not nearly as skilled as players like Shouko or Tsugumi. If I ran in there without any tactics, I’d just be getting in their way, let alone helping out. What can I do?

The hell kind of skill is this? And when the hell did I kill anything with a fishing rod? I’ve been constantly fishing during the week on the boat, but I don’t remember this happening at all. Hate means that I’ll draw the enemies’ attacks towards me. My light armor can’t be good for it. But if it works on fish as well, that would mean I’d get more bites. I’ve gotta try it next time. I don’t exactly know how I’m going to use it, but I’ll take it this skill just in case. But no! I should be focusing on its arm right now! I’m way too obsessed with fishing… I’ve gotta keep myself in check.

“Sorry! I couldn’t stop it!”

I closed my status screen to see Tsugumi shouting and the dimensional rift opening up in the monster’s arm. His fierce glowing deep crimson eyes matched its gigantic, pitch-black body, standing about five players tall. The most noticeable feature of it was the three heads on its body. It reminded me of a certain dog in mythology.

“Whoa!”

One of its three heads spat a breath of flame at us. I barely dodged its attack since it wasn’t specifically targeting me, but half of the archers were wiped out by that one attack. That’s probably phase two of the monster with its different attack pattern. It happens all the time in games. Shouko and Tsugumi dodged Cerberus’ swipes and bites and were still attacking it. … I moved up close to its legs, but what am I supposed to do? I don’t think I’ve ever fought anything like this in a game…

‘… bad news, everyone. It seems since the boss appeared, players who die can no longer return.’

I looked behind me. The entrance at the edge of the map had a black visual effect coming from it. I guess that means that dead players can’t get back into the fight. Well, Spirits had that problem to begin with anyway but no respawning sucks for other races. You’d want to be decked out in full armor for this fight. Shouko, Tsugumi, and others were still attacking Cerberus from melee distance. Those who couldn’t do so were surrounding it firing their bows and spells.

“Step aside! Our ranged attack is ready to fire!” “Wild Dance, the First: Chain Strike! I can dodge fine, so please just commence!” “Yup, yup!”

How does anyone dodge the spells and arrows falling down like rain? Are we the noobs for not being able to do the same? I remember how in Western FPSes, Tsugumi was able to get headshots with her sniper rifle without even so much visual confirmation of the enemy. Maybe it’s the same concept how she can master spatial awareness in this game too. I hate to say it, but I’m not nearly as crazy good as she is. While some other players ran out of the attack zone, Shouko and Tsugumi kept attacking Cerberus. Someone probably has to draw Cerberus’ aggro at all times. And somehow, the ones who stayed really did dodge left and right, evading the arrows, and kept tanking the boss. Seeing how good she is, maybe Shouko is a bit like a fish out of water to be sailing with us.

Another five minutes past and Cerberus swiped with its talons again. I was able to escape it by the skin of my teeth, but Tsugumi couldn’t.

“Ah… I’m all out of MP.”

As she muttered out, Cerberus swung its arm down…

… but no way I’d let it hurt my sister.

“I had wondered before, but… do I like my little sister too much or what?”

After evading its attack, I ran back right into it. I put up my Cetus Longsword to protect us and was sent flying backwards. I would love to have saved my sister from the wicked claws of Cerberus, but unfortunately, I lacked the ability to tank for her.

How strict is the delineation of creative control vis-a-vis characters/plays between the mods? (@pedanticlecturer)

We generally have the plays split up along lines of “what we know”— we have a list at the very beginning of the blog. Sometimes we’ll draw the others’ characters (mostly me drawing some of Star’s…) but even then the final say on characterization is up to the “main” mod for that play — mod aster

I think my favorite play overall is Macbeth, just because I like the vibes (and the fact that I too could kill Macbeth), the fact that you don’t say it’s name in theatres, and the fact that it’s a play I did a full read through and analysis of in class. I did want to make The Tempest more of a central play, but it just didn’t translate well. Similarly, other supernatural elements like the witches in Macbeth. This is phrased like an ACT question and i might not answer it right so sorry in advance but: mod aster and i only selected a few plays for each of us to do given we dont know all of shakespeare’s works, but we tend to put more emphasis on the the more well known. But it also comes down to 1. How much we have plotted out for each play and 2. What the followers ask about most. Our two most popular are hamlet and macbeth bc people are familiar w those but around march caesar always becomes relevant again. I didnt even have designs for some of the characters until someone asked about them. -- mod star

I would say the same as star— it generally comes down to what people ask about. I will say that the overall plot is sort of separated into “has happened” and “is happening”. Like, the human potion of Midsummer, Julius Caesar, and Macbeth are all in the “aftermath” portion, while Twelfth Night, Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet, among others, are happening. We’re trying to incorporate as much as we can, and I don’t think any of them were really put in without some thought.— mod aster

I go to a theater school rn and so ive dealt w shakespeare (although not all of them) it also helps that i was in loves labours lost last year as moth and that i read hamlet and r n j. Theres also a theater in my state that always does One Big Shakespeare per season and they always do them super well!!! My love for shakespeare probably started w seeing midsummer at that theater w mod aster!!! So. Theater kid rights!! -- mod star

To be honest, I got back into Shakespeare Because of the blog. I’ve been friends with some people that got really Pretentious about Shakespeare, and it kinda put me off of it. I did have a book of abridged plays (the plays’ plots written out in prose, basically) that I read as a kid, which is what got me into not only the plots of a lot of the plays, but also the idea of having them illustrated. And, same as star, the theater in state does the One Big Shakespeare— and they tend to do some really cool things with the costumes, setting them in diff time periods. Uhh i started drawing when i was like idk 12 and i have the giant boxes of sketchbooks to prove it!!! I moved to digital art at abt 14-15 but mostly stayed traditional until this yr when i got a Neat New Tablet so some of my sketchbooks are sitting abandoned rip. My first shakespeare was either romeo and juliet or midsummer nights dream and i love both of them v much!!! Oh man. I started drawing when I was about 10, but it was Bad. I don’t think I got much into drawing again until I was about 14? Sometime around the end of middle school/beginning of high school. I would say I started getting into drawing as more than doodling/coloring edits sometime around 2015-16? I would draw on my iPad with my finger, then I got a tablet for my computer, and now I pretty much stick to my iPad with an Apple Pencil. My first Shakespeare play was….. uh…… probably Midsummer???? I have No idea. We would go to plays when I was little, so I honestly don’t remember if I saw others before. Met mod aster when i was like 4 and even tho we didnt live close we became like, best friends although the Best part didnt start until we were like 13-ish and eventually we talked like non stop (about anime and homestuck. Yknow. 13 year old kid things) and we didnt see each other a lot bc of Distance and now its even worse bc aster is in colleg.,e but we consider each other siblings regardless of family bc we’re adopted into our own respective families so that bled over into our friendship and it would feel weird calling him anything other than my brother now. It can depend on the piece? I was working on some (unrelated) oc prints that were song-focused, and for those I just listened to said song on loop. Sometimes I have playlists. Sometimes I’ll just be in a Mood and throw a song on loop. But a lot of time for the blog, I’ll listen to The Adventure Zone for the billionth time, because I have Too Much Attention. I tend to obsess over the same like 3 songs every few weeks so those get listened to on repeat but it also depends on the tone of what im drawing or who im drawing i might genre switch bc of that. If im drawing ophelia i stick to lana del rey and if im drawing hamlet its the neighborhood, horatio is sufjan stevens etc. i have categorized,. Most of the characters i draw into different songs/genres/energies of music but not like i ever follow that. Sometimes i just pull up a really long nonsense video and forget to draw. How did you end up deciding the rough timeline of events in canon? (@pedanticlecturer)

It’s mostly determined by like. How we choose per story? If that makes sense. Like, we just take story by story, and decide “is it happening, has it happened, and when?” And then we fit them together in relation to each other just by dint of. All existing at once. Like, I knew I wanted Macbeth to be in aftermath, because like, even though there’s no murder, the way I’ve translated it to the AU is still kinda heavy, and it’s something that I don’t know that I could do properly if it were happening right now. Also, it’s more interesting IMO to have them at different times. Tl;dr we wing it per story and slot them together— mod aster (mod star agrees I just can word better, in theory)

If you could tell the story of shakespeare high in a different format than an ask blog, would you? Obviously y'all are making very good use of the format, but would you want to write this as a animated series or like? a comic book? or is the form inseparable from the story? (@pedanticlecturer)

I kinda wanted to do a webcomic or maybe to plot develop through like, animatics but the element of surprise comes from the asks we get and really makes us think so the blog is a good start. We didnt think we’d get this far -- mod star

Pretty much what Star said— there are certain elements where it’d be neat to do as a comic or as an animatic. Like, the fantasy dream is like, an anthology webcomic of each story, where you can like, see other characters in the background and stuff. But to be honest, we develop a lot by what we’re asked— there was a post about developing worldbuilding by being asked questions and then pretending you’ve thought about the answer, and it’s not far off. Personally, it’s hard to just lay out a story, because I have a whole WORLD and what’s relevant? What are people interested in? It’s by getting questions that I can then focus in on an area to develop. And yeah, we Super didn’t think we’d get this far lmao — mod aster

Honestly same. I don’t think I have voice headcanons for mine, though I bet I could find some. I’ve got a bunch of miscellaneous headcanons that just kinda float around, but like they’re scattered, too numerous for this post, and also not always things I’m sure are canon yet.— mod aster
