ヽ(〃＾▽＾〃)ﾉ  wOoOoOoOow i’m so excited to be here finally!! typically i’m a pretty ~ minimalistic ~ person when it comes to formatting ‘n stuff, but i’ma go a little ham on this introduction because i’m really excited!! ANYWHO, my name’s cheyenne ( but please call me chey ) and i represent the drastically under-appreciated mst. i use he/him pronouns, and for anyone who’s curious, i’m 21+!! i’ve been eying this group for awhile now, but hadn’t joined because of school and work reasons, but my town’s in lockdown, so i finally have a bunch of new time on my hands to write!! now that that’s outta the way though, please love me and my first ever muse here!! her name is jeon haseo and she’s lucid’s main vocalist and lead dancer. in my head, she sounds a bit like wjsn’s yeonjung, gfriend’s yuju, and dreamcatcher’s siyeon when she sings, and when she dances, she reminds lots of people of twice’s mina and her gorgeous face-claim, wjsn’s bona!! she’s a former prima ballerina at a dance company in korea that she was pushed out of due to accusations of favoritism, and even though the board at the school were adamant against said accusations, it was lowkey kinda true lol. her dad is a former dancer that’s received tons of acclaim in the dance world, and it’s said that his name is what landed her all her opportunities in ballet —- whoops!! she doesn’t really know that though, but before i carry on too much, you can read more of my ramblings about her below the cut!! [ youtuber vc ] don’t forget to smash that like button if you wanna plot with us!!

i.  —-  haseo was born in seoul, south korea to a dancer and plastic surgeon, so they had a lot of money to sit on while they raised their daughter. she was brought up in prestigious dance rehearsal spaces, as well as in top-of-the-line hospitals, but instead of wanting to follow in her mother’s footsteps, she decided it’d be more fun to dance like her dad!! she showed promise when she was little, so they nurtured her talents as best they could.

ii.  —-  her childhood really wasn’t all that bad, to be honest, like, she never struggled with making friends, she got everything she wanted, her parents were supportive... what more could she have really asked for, you know? she got along with everyone due to her many interests —- from ballet, to video games, to barbies, to monster trucks —- but that all sorta changed whenever she entered high school. being that she attended a school for the arts danced with a company in their junior program, and had a reputable father, a lot of people started to be really catty with her. she learned how ugly the world could be at a pretty small age, and it’s deffff affected how she sees the world and deals with her problems.

iii.  —-  fast forward to high school graduation, haseo gets offered a spot in a professional company to dance ballet almost immediately. a little sketchy? perhaps, but what’s even sketchier is that she was offered the leading role in her first ever show. vile words spread throughout the whole school and due to the accusations of favoritism, the company decided to terminate her contract rip. she became big sad and almost didn’t dance again until [ spoiler alert ] she was given a chance to audition for dimensions entertainment!!

iv.  —-  she didn’t really wanna become an idol, but she did it anyway because she wanted to dance for a career. she really didn’t even need to have a career with how much money her parents made, but it was important to her to be financially independent, so she decided to stick with it to see if it’d work. long story short, she discovered that she’s a FAB singer, and her long history of dance def helped her standout from the crowd. she trained for two years before her debut, and like, when she was announced to be main vocalist, she literally almost died i think lmao. like, the fact that she was granted main vocal but not main dancer really shook her ass up, but she accepted her fate and tried her best.

v.  —-  the concept changes were a whirlwind, but she likes the more soft vibes that the schoolgirl trilogy gave her. she also thinks it makes better use of her dance skills, but she isn’t really the one in control here now is she? ANYWAY —- her career is blossoming a lot and she’s really excited, but at the same time, she despises that she’s a person of public scrutiny now. she never wanted that to happen at the level that it has, but she puts up with it because she feels she already made her bed, so now she’s gotta lie in it. not to mention that she has some of her old peers from dance starting an online hate group to hate on her, so you know... this isn’t exactly what she had in mind for her life, but she just takes it in stride and hopes that, someday, it’ll make for good stories to tell her grandkids lol.

vi.  —-  i realize that i haven’t really given a description of her personality or her as a person yet, and well, that sucks, so i’ma do it right here, right now!! how would i describe haseo? let’s see —- she’s kinda, like, prissy but it’s definitely more outwardly adorable than it is obnoxious, if that makes sense? she HATES getting dirt on her clothes, she hates having crud under her nails, and she hates when other people lack personal hygiene skills, but she was taught well and doesn’t really voice her harsh judgments unless she’s provoked lol. it also appears to me that she has tons of patience naturally, but is also kind of a hot-head if you actually manage to piss her off, so good luck to your muses if that happens!! she also HATES being woken up from sleep, like, she’ll literally kill you if you do. she’s more than likely gotten into tons of fights with other lucid girls because of it —- whoops!! she’s also SUPER femme, to be honest? she takes way too long to get ready before leaving the house, and almost refuses to leave looking a mess. her hair is always immaculate, her makeup is BEAT, and her clothes are gorgeous, and all paid for with daddy’s card lmao. other than all that though, she doesn’t really fit the “rich girl” stereotype in that she doesn’t act like a snob to just anyone, yk? she’s really open to meeting new people, and she’s a fiercely loyal friend to people she loves, as well as a HOPELESS ROMANTIC [ she’s a taurus, after all ] with her bfs/gfs. she’s also MAD cuddly with anyone, like, she doesn’t give a fuck, she communicates v well with physicality and touch!! if you got any questions ab her, don’t hesitate to lmk!!

i. i am not your mother’s/father’s yu.ffie blog. while i do have a verse reserved for compilation content, that’s not the main premise of this blog. if you came here for oversexualized underage ninjas.... i’m going to have to direct you elsewhere. out here we’re primarily an adult modern interpretation... who does not daylight as a ninja constantly. she can, however, be a y.akuza or a sheltered member of high society who enjoys kicking ass for justice so if you’re interested in that, y’know. c’mon down.

ii. the typical ‘ yu.ffie is a kleptomaniac ’ / ‘ stop stealing my stuff ’ trope is like. one that grates my very existence. i have talked about this many times, but for those of you who are new: yufi has only stolen out of necessity to her cause. the only time i’ll refer to petty theft on this blog is if she like steals a fry or something. if we’re joking around, okay, but... please don’t consider that to be the sole core of her characterization. i’m begging. i’m on my knees. i’m warning you, i’ll cry and then i’ll probably ignore whatever post you’ve mentioned it in if you’re serious. just. don’t be that person if you’re following me.

if we’re going into it, the only times she’s stolen anything were: > in crisis core, as the ‘ treasure princess. ’  but this is arguable, as the treasure is truly up for grabs to start with & zack repeatedly goes after these locations she’s sent to him ( which, by the way, were sent to her from rufus to attempt to retaliate against + destroy shinra hq ). zack already knew what was up when: 1) she showed up in his spam folder; 2) she literally said she’s on the hunt for treasure; and 3) he knew at least after the second time that he was gon’ get goinked ( please see definition #2 ) so... can’t help him there. > in vanilla vii, when the party is foolish enough to meet her and not recruit her off the bat ( it be ya own self ). to be fair, 99% of her interactions with easterners / non-wutai prior to that moment had been people who either wanted to kill her or exploit her, so... it’s only self-preservation to use them before they use her or worse, leave her for dead. a sad reality for a 16 year old. > in vanilla vii, only after the party arrives to wutai & she thinks she can successfully finish her mission of “ getting all the strongest materia. ” after she’s captured, she does apologize, and then afterward makes cloud sign it in writing. so. y’know, she did learn from her mistake & said “ ugh, guess i gotta put that diplomacy training to use. ”

y’all could argue that she’s a thief class and that’s what they do, but note that it’s NOT one of her core skills-- it’s a MATERIA. which means everyone out there with a steal materia could be out here being a kleptomaniac. cloud? barret? tifa? red xiii? none of your favs are safe. her skills in the game, however, are shit called “ blood festival ” ( oh? see the username’s relevance all of a sudden? aha! ) and “ doom of the living. ”  she’s out here summoning ghosts and reigning otherworldly power on ur ass but... fandom wasn’t ready for that conversation !!  some folks were too BASIC and couldn’t handle her true strength... so i will gladly champion that for you.

iii. i like to emphasize that yufi is an emotionally strong yet traumatized figure, which stems from her origins and that i just put that in the forefront. we have a character who is haunted by her mother who died after childbirth, seemingly rejected from her father yet held to the highest of his standards, has attachment issues because she’s the “ black sheep ” and doesn’t just accept defeat or dejection even if it comes from her core community, survived multiple wars, has led in post-war rescue efforts on multiple occasions, was wrongfully imprisoned, was on the forefront of pandemic outbreaks as a first-responder, joins and rises to the top of an organization created to restore world order, is one of the two top operatives in said organization ( and the one out on the field longer--sorry vin.cent, but u only got involved at lu.cretia and when the actual gunshots disturbed your brooding and wine session filled isolation sessions. but like, mood tho ), pretends to be cheery despite clearly remembering all the hauntings and death and other bullshit she’s been facing since she was a toddler.... oh, and she disarmed bombs when her country was wrongfully targeted + used as political bait for terrorists...when she was a child. that’s canon, if we’re talking about  “ accuracy. ” even in vanilla vii, she had no outlets, no one to turn to, ‘cause everyone was cloud vc: “ not interested. ”  

so if you’re on this blog, it’s not like you won’t see happy  yufi... but realize that i recognize that she is multifaceted and has a lot of baggage. emotional issues which unfortunately i bring to every verse gfdohfofh but u know, it’s core to her character + y’all gon have to deal, or... idk, go find another yufi. i’m not forcing you to be here.

iv. in my opinion, the best plotting comes with ooc conversations/interactions. i’m not saying if we plot that we’re required to be friends, ‘cause i don’t wanna force anyone into friendship, but i truly believe that if you want super deep plots with frequent interactions, we should... probably talk more than once. pretty simple, imo !  sometimes people claim i play favorites, but i really don’t... if you never talk to me and you don’t respond to my attempts to interact, then how am i supposed to know you’re interested? 

as a general rule, i’ll put in as much effort as i receive. if i see you’re interested in me, if we’re really vibing when it comes to plotting, if you’re sending asks & liking posts, we’ve got some threads going, rad !  if i like starter calls and send you asks and message you and you never respond to me... ?  i’ll take that as a sign you don’t wanna talk + i should move on to someone else. if i’m wrong, well... do something to change my mind.

v. i know i went hard as fuck on this meme, but that’s bc I’M REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT ABOUT THIS MUSE.  in reality i’m actually quite soft + a weenie babie. if you ask.......... most people, i think they’d say i try really hard to be approachable and adaptable. i think everyone who talks to me on discord laughs at me because i’m scared of the stupidest things + i love to make jokes and just be funny and relatable. so please be nice and love me and my sassy fighty extremely tough deprived child. we both need hugs.

It had been a few hectic weeks since Y/N’s big move to New York, and she couldn’t have been more happy with her decision - or her new friends. Tony had been nice enough to give a month off, paid of course, to get adjusted and settle down. She found that life in New York suited her: it was fast paced and crazy, much like California, but in a different way, which she enjoyed tremendously. Plus, the chillier weather and more diverse seasons was something she had been looking forward.

Tony had introduced her to the various members of the Avengers team, she had liked them all. She could already tell Natasha was going to be a good friend, and everyone else was extremely helpful as will, offering help however they could. Although she wouldn’t be directly working with them or probably even seeing them on a daily basis, she liked her new circle of friends. But much to no one’s surprise, Bucky had become her closest companion.

Y/N was putting away one of the final boxes of knick knacks that she had brought with her from San Francisco, when she heard a soft knock on her door. She cast a look over at Pickles, who was curled up busy napping on window sill bench, trying to get any sunlight she could during the overcast late afternoon. She hadn’t expected anyone to come over today, so she debated even answering the door. She decided it was probably nothing to worry about, so she padded over to the big wooden door and looked through the peephole, and to her surprise it was Bucky.

“Hello there,” she grinned as she swung open the door in excitement, “I wasn’t expecting you.” She gave him a quick once over and felt a slight blush creep up in her cheeks when she realized how good he looked, although he always looked good, he never really had to try. He was dressed simply today, a button down and some jeans, but damn, he made it look good. In his hands he clutched small bouquet of flowers.

“Hey, Y/N,” he beamed at her and held the flowers out to her, “these are for you. A sort of little housewarming present.”

“They’re beautiful,” she stepped aside and let him in. Pickles, suddenly wide awake, hopped off of the bench and ran over to greet him.Y/N smiled at the two of them, Pickles wasn’t usually so friendly with people she was still getting to know, “she approves too. And they’re my favorite. You remembered.”

“Yes, daisies,” he bent down to pick up the small cat and started giving her cuddles, “You told me 2 weeks ago. But you prefer lighter pastel colors over the super bright ones.”

“Alright,” she grinned as she headed to the kitchen to put the flowers in a vase, “I’m extremely impressed you remembered all of that.”

“I don’t forget things about people I like,” he admitted somewhat sheepishly. He sat down at the island counter and watched her work, “what’s today’s thing you have decided to share?” The two of them had kept true to their word and were telling each other new things about themselves on the daily.

“Hmmm, what indeed,” she mused as she set the finished flowers on the counter. She tried to give him a variety of different facts to keep it interesting, alternating from telling him random things about her family, her high school years, or random things she liked. She loved getting to know little bits and pieces of Bucky, just as he loved learning about her, “my favorite type of people are ones who remember little details about me.”

“Oh come on, that’s a given and doesn’t count,” he laughed at her.

“Fineeee,” she sighed and leaned against the counter as she racked her brain, “Quentin Tarantino is my favorite director.”

“What?!” He was now full on laughing, barely keeping it together. It amused him to no end how someone so gentle and soft loved the exact opposite. She ran into the adjacent living room and  grabbed one of the pillows off of the couch and hit him with it, “oh, you’re serious?”

“Yes, you jerk,” she stuck her tongue out at him, “I think he’s great. Just because it’s violent, doesn’t mean I can’t like it. He has a vision, you know. Story telling is his forte!”

“Alright, alright, Princess,” he appeased her and played along and got on his knees, clasping his hands in front of him, “please forgive this poor peasant for ever doubting you.”

“I mean...I suppose. This Princess likes her Buckaroo,” she extended her hand out to him to pull him up. He bowed his head and reached for her hand. He stood up more abruptly than she was expecting and they slammed into each other. Bucky wrapped his arms around her to keep from falling as he balanced them out, “ohh hello.”

“Hi there,” he smiled down at her as he inhaled her soft vanilla scent,, “are you okay? Did I hurt you?”

“No, I’m good,” she nodded lightly. Her heart was beating a million miles a minute, as they both stood unmoving. She could feel the heat radiating from his strong body on her smaller frame. They had never been this close and entangled before.

She was pretty sure her growing feelings for him were undoubtedly not so secret anymore. What she didn’t know was that Bucky felt the same about her. It had been so long, decades really, since he had had feelings for anyone. Especially nowadays, when people still feared him and he didn’t make many close connections. Neither of them wanted to move; everything in this moment felt right..until she heard a loud meow behind her, “oh!”

Pickles sat on the floor in the kitchen next to her water bowl, signaling it was time for her dinner. What great timing she had, indeed  Bucky and Y/N slowly let go of one another as she walked over to feed the cat. Bucky was sad to have to let go of her but didn’t want to make things awkward. He stood there and scratched the back of his neck.

Y/N quickly fed Pickles before turning back to him, “I-uh, sorry. She’s so needy.”

“It’s okay,” he responded, thinking of how to make his next move, “it is dinner time after all. Have you eaten?”

“No, actually, I was just putting away the last of my stuff, eating hadn’t even crossed my mind,” she admitted as she glanced over at the small and still half packed box.

“I don’t know if you had plans or anything,” he chuckled nervously, “but would you want to get dinner or something?”

“I do not have plans,” an idea crossed her mind, “but how about we order in and watch a movie? Maybe a Tarantino one? I have all of his films.”

“That sounds great,” his heart did did somersaults at her plan. He couldn’t think of anything he’d rather be doing right now, “what sounds good for dinner?”

“Chinese, for sure,” she was never one of those girls who couldn’t make up her mind, “unless you’d prefer something else?”

“No, Chinese is always good,” he agreed as he walked into the kitchen and opened the drawer where he had started a collection of menus for local restaurants. You never know what you could be in the mood for or when, he had told when he first started the growing collection.

He already knew what she liked, but he didn’t want to give away how much he actually remembered about her. Stalker vibes was not something he was wanting to give off. He knew she loved her egg rolls and fried rice, “do you want anything in particular?”

“The usual! I think that sounds perfect right now,” she gave him a big smile as she went to grab some blankets from the small hall linen closet. She sneaked peeks at him as he pulled out his phone and called their favorite spot. She listened to his smooth and voice him, watched as he nodded his head as ordered, the way his smile reached his blue eyes, making them seem bluer and brighter than ever. She wondered what it’d be like to kiss his soft looking lips.

“Y/N?” Bucky caught her off guard, as she had zoned out as she was watching him. He waved his hand in front of her face.

“Huh? Oh sorry,” her cheeks deepened to a bright crimson as she realized she had been caught staring at him, “I got so caught up thinking about which movie to watch.”

“Sure, Princess,” he gave her a wink that made her want to melt as he sat down on the couch and put his feet on the table, “the food should be here in about half an hour. What film were you thinking about?”

“How about Reservoir Dogs?” she held up the box in front of her face as she walked over to the TV, “underrated if you ask me, but one of his best.”

“I agree, his earlier works might be slightly better than his old ones,” he watched her eagerly put into the move into her Playstation. He loved how easy, and yet wonderful everything felt with her. He patted the couch next to him and she sucked in her breath a little bit. As often as they spent time together being so close to him still gave her butterflies. She sat down a bit tensely as she too put her feet on the coffee table. She left just a little bit of distance between.

They started watching the movie, although neither of them were completely focused on it. Both of them were hyper aware of the heat flowing between them and the closeness of their bodies. Bucky was trying to push himself to make a move. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched her chest rise and fall lightly, her eyes trained on the TV. Just as he was ready to finally put his arm around her, a knock came at the door. He groaned inwardly, but stood up to answer it.

He opened the door and quickly grabbed the food and put it on the table, ready to turn around and get some plates. Y/N scoffed a little bit, which caused him to turn around, “what?”

“It’s Chinese, we’re supposed to eat it out of the container,” she said dramatically. The corners of his mouth turned up in a small smile, “unless you’re afraid of my germs, Buckaroo.”

“Not a bit,” he rejoined her on the couch and grabbed the chopsticks she was holding out to him, “you just can’t go hogging everything, like last time.”

“Oh come on! It was one time and I was really hungry,” she protested as she started shoving an egg roll into her mouth. She immediately regretted her decision as the bite was too big to shove. She gave a muffled grunt, “oops.”

“My point exactly,” she narrowed her eyes as at him as she tried to swallow the last of the bite. She struggled breaking down the big bit as she continued to chew and chew.

“I got it all down,” she said triumphantly a few moments later and stuck her tongue out at him, “and there’s more for you. See I can play nice!”

“We’ll see about,” he countered as he started getting the chow mein they had gotten, earning himself a jab in the side from Y/N with one of her chopsticks.

They finished their food in relative, comfortable, silence as they turned their attentions back to the movie. About halfway through, Y/N felt her eyelids start to droop and a few shivers ran down her body as she was getting cold. Bucky noticed and grabbed one of the big fluffy blankets and draped it over them. He finally got enough courage as he put his arm around her and pulled her close to his chest. When she didn’t argue but burrowed even closer into his side he couldn’t contain the goofy grin on his face.

It wasn’t long before Y/N was asleep and snoring softly on his chest. He watched the rest of the movie in happy silence, moving as little as he could as to not disturb her. Pickles even got up on couch on his other side and rubbed against his hand. He gave her a few scratches and she contently curled up into his side.

As the end credits started rolling, Y/N started to slowly wake up. She blinked a few times before she realized what position she was in. She was pulled away to the side and looked over at Bucky, hoping she hadn’t done anything too awkward or embarrassing, like confusing her feelings in her sleep. He smiled over at her as he kept his arm draped over her.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered in small voice.

“You have nothing to be sorry for,” he stated as he pulled his arm from around her shoulders and sat himself so they were facing one another.

“Did I snore?”

“Like you were sawing logs,” he joked and she groaned and hid her face her hands. He gently pulled her hands away and rand thumb over cheek, “I’m just kidding, it was so soft I almost didn’t even notice.”

“Promise?”

“Yeah,” he nodded before getting a wicked idea, “the drooling though...that’s where I draw the line.”

“You’re such a liar,” she challenged him and he burst out in laughter.

“You got me there,” he admitted. He studied her face, trying to read what she was thinking. He figured things had gone well enough so far, he might as well try his luck, “Y/N?”

“Hmm,” she made a content sound and pulled the warm blanket closer to her body and away from him with a wicked smile.

“I never told you anything about me today,”

“Oh, that’s right you didn’t,” she realized they been too caught up in eating and movie watching, or in her case, snoring, “go on then.”

“My fact for today is that I’ve been wanting to kiss you since the day we met,” he admitted as he waited with bated breath for her response. He tried to read her facial expressions, which he mostly read as surprise.

“Really?” She asked as her face broke out in a big smile, making her eyes crinkle at the corners, something he had noticed early on.

“Yes,” he admitted as he was the one who now had a faint blush starting on his cheeks.

“Are you gonna actually go ahead and do it?” She asked as she leaned forward and wrapped her arms his neck and pulled him closer, “because I’ve been waiting for you to make a move for a while now.”

That was all Bucky needed to hear as he closed the distance between them and put his lips on her soft ones. They both felt the instant spark between them and felt as though time was standing still. Only when they needed some air did they finally pull apart.

She rested her hands on his shoulders as he cupped her cheeks. He leaned his forehead against hers in a small but intimate gesture. He kissed her lips once more and they grinned at each other like lovesick teenagers. Y/N sighed contently and closed her eyes.

“That was worth the wait,” he admitted.

“It was about time,” she joked as he nodded in agreement. She reached up and invited him back under she stolen, “now that that’s settled, what movie is up next?”

Bucky pulled Y/N back against his chest and decided in that moment that it really didn’t matter. The only thing that mattered was them and their happiness.

let’s put some positivity on the dash

some self reflection, new years resolutions, and a thread tracker

first of all, hey ubr! hows everyone doing? that’s cool, that’s cool.

ive been planning on making this ramble of words for awhile but it was actually yesterday’s voice chat that got that introspection flowing again.

im splitting this whole monstrosity into parts so only read the ones that you feel like lmao

getting more activity

i feel like there’s a problem in this (being all of pokemon, not just ubr) rping community BUT!!! its one that can worked on and sorted out if we’re all willing to idk look at ourselves and our flaws and work to be better and more compassionate people?? maybe who knows.

now before i get started i want to acknowledge i am ACTIVELY APART OF THE PROBLEM. i have not posted on either of my muses in over a week. i have sat at my computer multiple times this week to do my replies/starters and i find myself paralyzed each time. and yet at the same time, i have been flooding the ic with my dumb antics, which i can do for hours.

so what’s going on here? i know im not the only one who feels this way. ive heard from multiple people that working on replies stresses them out, or they feel bad that they owe people, or they apologize for taking so long. and im just sitting here like “isn’t this supposed to be fun?”

again, this is across the board. i left a previous pokemon group because i couldnt keep up with all the replies, but then i immediately went and joined a rp in a different fandom because it was much more low stress. but what made it less stress? well, the replies weren’t as long for one thing. each reply would be 1-4 paragraphs AT MOST and they were almost always dialogue and character interaction. in the 10 months i was in a pokemon rp, i only ever finished two threads, with 2-3 replies a week. in the 10 months of this other rp, i finished dozens of threads, with 5-10 replies A DAY. my characters developed so much more and they had a lot of room to foster relationships that changed and evolved over time, something that i don’t feel happens as naturally here.

the pokemon rp community is filled with tons of talented writers and i think that’s part of our problem. we work so hard to match our partner’s length, or live up to the length and quality of our peers, that we become paralyzed. if you can’t get out the perfect reply or just a reply that fits your own incredibly high standards, then nothing gets out at all. so you either get out the bare minimum to make activity (if that), or you find yourself on perpetual hiatus. i know ive been there.

when it comes to rp, i for one care much more about character development and interaction than the quality of the writing. of course there’s still a level of literacy i want to keep, but if i have to sacrifice prose for the sake of finishing threads more quickly and having more things happen with my characters? yes please.

so that’s what i’ll be doing. my replies from now on are likely going to be shorter than what i’ve been putting out previously, and probably not as pretty or detailed. if that’s not what you’re looking for in a rp, i understand!! different people want different things, and im not asking everyone to follow my lead here. but if you relate to any of the experiences i just described, id encourage you to look at yourself and ask what you want most out of this activity we do for fun, and focus on that. i feel like a lot of what we do here is just following the norms and standards of our peers, and that isn’t going to change until we change ourselves.

ubr is a pretty cool group

WITH THAT OUT OF THE WAY, i just wanted to put out the appreciation i have for this group. its been made perfectly clear that not everyone feels this way, but i feel like ive been pretty welcomed and accepted in this group. like ive mentioned before, ive been in a lot of rp groups in my past. ive seen what fake openness and positivity looks like. but thus far, people have interacted with me in the group chat, in ic, and plotted with me in friendly, lovely ways. theyve seemed to like my muses a lot which is really cool! and overall, ive been having a good time so far.

and i recognize that that’s because i put myself out there. this is a lesson ive learned the hard way in my various rp groups: if you don’t put yourself out there, people will not pay attention to you. and sometimes they won’t, even if you do. that’s kind of just the nature of rp groups. every rp group ive been in has been perfectly fine and functional even after ive left, and im sure if i left ubr tomorrow, it would be the same. would people be sad? potentially! i know ive been sad to see people go. but life moves on.

but that doesnt make the experiences we have in the present any less valuable!! and for the time being, people here have been very loving and accepting towards me. the few times ive asked for support through dms, ive been given it. today, my father told me that it sounded like i had a good time last night (in the vc). and i did!! i did really have a good time. trying to fit into new rp groups can be pretty awkward but i think yall do a good job of letting people in.

i also want to put my appreciation out there for the mods and everything you do. again, ive dealt with actually cruel and controlling mods, and those experiences have not been fun. considering how big this group is, i feel like the organization and speediness of replies is pretty astounding. the winter event was super fun and super well done and im excited to see what you guys have in store for the future!!

is the group perfect? no. like i said, i think there’s an activity problem. there is sometimes a communication problem. there are the problems that plague all rp groups, such as integrating new people, making everyone feel welcomed, etc. but there are mature, rational ways to deal with these, and most of them involve looking at ourselves and resolving to make ourselves and the group better. and for the most part, i get that vibe from a lot of people.

and if that makes me a cultish puppet or whatever--instead of a grown ass adult who can think for themselves and actually just wants to help foster positive change instead of immature callout posts--then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[01]. weirdest present you’ve ever received?

my pals and i always exchange weird presents for one another’s birthdays! it’s pretty much a tradition at this point, tho im not sure when or how it began? im pretty sure my last birthday card had caillou on it or something lol, and at one point we got our pal a can of peaches, a container of straws, tissue packages n a remote control, all with lil puns on them.

but the weirdest gift ive ever recieved? uhh, it was probably this miniature cotton candy machine tht my friends spent way too much on, primarily bc we only used it the day i opened it. u took hard candies and put them in the machine and eventually they would be spun into the actual floss tht makes cotton candy. it was cool but my mom threw it out eventually lol.

definitely coloured pencils. markers and crayons don’t rly have an exact tip. well, unless ure using a fine-tip marker. and there’s something rly satiating abt having sharp, clean writing or outlining. i was the kid who outlined all my fucking drawings and shaded them in with coloured pencils. miss me w/ tht crayon, marker shit. also, the sound wood makes when its being sharpened? tht was my favourite part.

[03]. if you could dye your hair any colour, what would it be?

honestly ive never thought of dying my hair. i like the colour how it is, which is sort of a darker blonde/slightly goldish shade. im not sure what would fit my face? i can only see myself going beach blonde. i feel like any other colour would be a disaster on my hair and i already damage it enough bc i straighten it every few days.

[04]. which concept would you pick for which group?

i know clc just did a badass concept with their “crystyle” album (which is one of the best albums of 2017 so jot tht the fuck down) and i absolutely adore their cute concepts as well bc we got bops like “pepe” n “high heels” BUT GOD I WANT THEM TO DO ANOTHER BADASS CONCEPT I BECAME ADDICTED TO IT. IT K*LLED ME TO SEE SEUNGHEE IN ALL BLACK WEARING THOSE THIGH-HIGH BOOTS I DI*ED THEN RESURRECTED IN THE SAME BREATH. i find them to be super versatile, they can go either way and ill support them no matter the concept. their quality of music never decreases. but yep, id pick another badass concept for the ladies.

[05]. sweet or sour candy?

sweet sweet sweet!! to be fair i luv pretty much all candies, minus jolly ranchers bc ive consumed so many of them tht if i see another fucking jolly rancher i will strap myself to a rocket. ANYWAYS, definitely sweet. my favourite candies (not keeping chocolate in mind bc chocolate overrules everything) would be swedish berries and werther’s caramel. for sour candies i would choose sour patch kids and sour keys!! obviously i would d*e for candy so let’s just get tht out of the mf’ way.

[06]. favourite quirk of an idol?

oh gosh. imma have 2 think for this one. the image tht comes to me exactly is junhui’s tendency to curl into whoever is next to him! most likely when he does something embarrassing, he retreats into a tiny mass of stuffy giggling and sis, it’s the best thing on the face of this planet. he’s rly such a shy flower. also, joshua’s habit of covering his mouth when he laughs is v v endearing to me. i believe it goes to show his politeness, though it can also be a characteristic of someone who’s timid, to which i think both reasons apply here. i wish i could think of more bc im certain there are a ton belonging 2 my favourite idols, but im highkey drawing a blank.

[07]. would you rename a fandom? what would the name be?

hmm. im not someone who pays close attention to fandom names. hoshi could have very well kept us as mounteens and i wouldnt give a single cherry n a half, though at this point carats is a lot more fitting and we’ve all grown attached to it. honestly, im not tht keen on red velvet and fx’s fandom names? i know tht in red velvet’s case the option “cupcakes” was up for grabs so when in comparison to reveluv’s i’m pretty thankful the latter was chosen. im not entirely sure what i would name the fandom, so respect to whoever is in charge of the titling. as for fx, they deserved to get their fanclub name much sooner. again im not someone who cares a whole lot abt fandom names, but it would have been cool if the fandom was some mathematical formula lol.

[08]. something you want to tell your bias?

BITCH. THE PRESSURE. if i were 2 meet junhui in person i would be such a nervous wreck i wouldnt even trust myself to speak. boi, if i even spotted him on the street i’d beeline in opposite direction so fast i would just be a fucking blur of light and potential tears. there would be many things i’d want to relay to him, honestly if we were just to hang out at a café or some location like tht with the time to talk and understand one another, i’d be like “hold tht thought, gerald” n drop a whole fucking novel on the table with reasons i appreciate him. i guess i’d want junhui to know how his efforts have certainly been acknowledged and that each quirk in his personality brings a lot of comfort/inner happiness to those who are still unsure abt themselves.

i’d also like for him to know tht whilst his visual is amazing, tht is not the only remarkable thing tht makes junhui, junhui. it’s his kindness, gentle heart, and optimism. essentially i’d want him to know tht his hard work is being noticed, how much delight he brings by being himself, and tht he has many qualities he should be confident in.

i’ve already answered the first half 2 this question in a previous ask, but red velvet’s ice cream cake! it has to be one of my all-time favourite music videos solely bc i luv the usage of soft colours. not to mention they’re having hella fun with their fuzzy glow-coats and dancing around a parlour eating cake? like what the fuck, i don’t know what kind of cult this is but i want in! also tht means i would get to be joy’s lesbian luver and nothing else brings me greater elation.

[10]. which AU have you always wanted to write but haven’t?

okay, first of all, bitch. there are abt one million au’s i wanna explore so inexplicably bad but i just havent gotten the time or the energy to compile the research/plan the plot. for starters, since opening this blog over two years ago, ive always wanted to write something with a serial killer. which sounds a bit scary and fucked but i absolutely lov thriller/horror movies. ive watched pretty much all of them. i find the suspension and how the scenes manipulate your body to be something unique in tht moment and to build the talent to be able to write such an AU would be my mf’ goal. it would most likely be very long and graphic, but my descriptive brain would chew tht up.

more au’s bordering along the dark line would be ghosts, vampires and demons. those are most fascinating to me. if a softer light, i’d like to write a surfer!au (specifically for joshua) and an android!au.

Understand that, even though literally 90% of my threads are ship themed, that each one of those ships has been plotted about pretty thoroughly. I can’t ship if I don’t know how the characters respond to each other. I don’t know why, though I think it has something to do with me losing muse for threads that aren’t very plotted out.

Realize that Jake is just as complicated as the mun, and just may not mesh well with your muse. And if he does, it will still take him a long time to open up/trust your muse with his heart.
