I have been replaying Final Fantasy XII this winter and, oh boy, I still love this game so much. Back in the day, I played through it several times and wrote several fics about it (both one-shots and long stories).

Even though some people say that the characters are paper thin, I feel differently. They have depth but it's subtle. I just really love the cast of the game, especially Fran and Balthier. The story is great, too. Though, I wouldn't mind if there was more of it. Maybe that's one reason I enjoyed writing my fics so much.

Of course, the world is amazing. It's wonderful to walk in Ivalice again and lose myself in the scenery. Even though I don't have new story ideas for FFXII, my heart kind of yearns to write something just to spend more time in the places I love.

There is no bigger point in this post. I simply wanted to share my recent thoughts... and my love for this game. I don't even know if there is fandom around it anymore or if I'm screaming into a void. 😅

Final Fantasy XII Cities and Settlements Okay, so I started screencapping FFXII... 2 years ago, yikes. I wanted to take screenshots of my favorite fashion and architecture from fantasy video games. I've been suffering from health issues and autistic burnout for a loong time, longer than 2 years lol. This has been weighing on me, so I decided to I will at least finish up the major cities, and Eruyt Village, and release them into the universe. I'm sorry it's incomplete. Someday, I hope to finish up all the architecture of this game. Some of the stuff I did earliest includes cutscene only areas! One day, if I do another playthrough, I will try to get screencaps of all the unique cutscene 'sets' as well. Enjoy for art references, worldbuilding ideas, etc. Happy New Year! been playing FFTA again because once every 3-5 years I go through Ivalice fixating so have a Marche! Every FFT/TA/A2 file I have features the lead character/opinion leader becoming a dual wielder.

I'm not used to how these pencils blend (they are very dry???) and the lack of warm brown shades is more than a little frustrating but I like 'em nonetheless (because they did not cost a limb and a half)

I love Ashley's connection with Samantha so much. Samantha, who has the biggest heart of the entire cast, whose devotion to her lover and fascination with Lea Monde and worry for her subordinates are all nevertheless twinned with a bone-deep skepticism of everything around her.

Samantha's skepticism doesn't save her, but it does make her one of the few people able to acknowledge the full scope of Lea Monde, in all its beauty and horror! And she and Ashley have the closest wavelengths throughout the entire story!

A sweeter faith still is the draught called "love"!!!
