At least Labour's willing to admit its acts of malfeasance.

On this side of the Atlantic, the DNC isn't even willing to do an investigation of all of its wrongdoings since 2016--let alone admit to or correct them. Instead, its attorneys are successfully telling judges that it can rig its own primaries and gaslighting anyone who points out the truth by accusing them of spreading "Russian propaganda" long after the Russia claim was discredited.

Saddest still is that some progressives have gone along with the DNC's charade.

I'm not gonna go on about David Baddiel cos there are so many people who deserve to be heard more than I do on this - Muslim people, black people, GRT people and Jewish leftists who've all been smeared or dismissed or told that their experiences don't matter. But I will say that it's dispiriting when people are pouring their hearts out about the anguish his shitty book and his shitty documentary have caused and then people turn up with their #ItWasAScam hashtags going on about the Labour party and the antisemitism crisis and whatever else.

This isn't about Jeremy Corbyn, and there's nothing that can change what happened with that now. I'm pissed off about it too, but this conversation is much bigger than that. It's about resisting damaging ideas from people like Baddiel who see anti-racism as a competitive activity where you protect yourself by denying solidarity to others. It's not about the inner workings of a political party who have now fully embraced racism as an electoral strategy.

And when I see black people saying "does the left care about us any more than the right does though?" I can't help but think of people who are still making everything about Corbyn and how clueless and pointless that is.
