8. Hey Ya! by Outcast. I am trying to say something clever about it, but honestly it just speaks for itself. It calls out the listener for just treating the song as a bop despite the lyrics. More songs should break the fourth wall this way.

9. Tainted Love, specifically Soft Cell's cover of it. They actually did two covers, the first one the one most of us know about a bad relationship. The other one a slower, more somber take during the height of the AIDS epidemic.

10. Gingerbread Coffin by Rasputina for every grown up former weird little girl (even though most of us are no longer girls) that liked creepy and spooky games that made the other kids and most of the grownups on edge.
