5. If I forget to script smth, will my conciousness know that i want it, but forgot to script it?

6. Is it easier to shift to a Wr, or my dr instantly?

7. How to decide where to go? For example, I feel connected to my TWD dr, but I wanna be in my Fame dr one rn. Wich is better to go to?

8. Can i shift w unfinished scripts?

9. Faceclaims and voice claims. If i dont have one/one that isnt exactly what i want, will my dr still have my dream face/ voice?

I was thinking about making a new post that answers my most asked questions about shifting and manifesting to add to my master list and here you are asking almost all of them not even two hours later!

Okay, let's get to it:

Shifting:

1- By simply thinking, visualising, and acting like you're in your Dr.

2- it is as real as anything else in the world.

3- You don't need to believe in it. The belief will come once you shift fully.

4- Your script is the guideline to the reality you're shifting to. If you decide to shift to a reality where you don't like blue, that's exactly where you'll be. If you change anything, you shift to a different reality.

5- Yes. You don't have to script every little detail.

6- The process is exactly the same. What you assume is easier will be easier for you.

7- Go where you feel called to go. Your awareness is calling you there for a reason.

8- Yes.

9- Yes. Your subconscious knows what you want. It will send you in the right direction.

10- You are the only thing holding you back. You're afraid of the unknown, so you don't want to risk it. But if there is no risk, then there will be no reward. The reward here being your wildest dreams.

11- Whatever you script happens. It's the map for the reality you're shifting to, remember? You write the story.

Manifesting:

1- no need to believe. Just assume and persist.

2- yes. Every desire manifested is a leap to a new reality. That's why it's called quantum leaping.

3- it is instant. You saying it's instant then expecting it to take months is why it's taking so long. Assume it's instant, expect your desires now.

4- By not giving up. No matter what you see, hear, or feel, never give up on your desires. Always think in your favour.

okay I’ve seen you posting about wuthering heights and this is your invitation (if you want one) to yap and share your thoughts about it. i read it a few years back and i honestly… despised it? and i feel like i’m missing something bc like. i regularly read classics. i love engaging with a story’s themes. but something just didn’t click for me, and i’m left feeling bewildered about why people love it. and none of this is judgement on you, i just genuinely feel like i’m missing something, so if you want to yap about it please enlighten me 🖤

I am literally never not in the mood to talk about wuthering heights!!!!

first things first, I read it over 3 yrs ago so I don't remember allllll the specifics (tho I have been feeling the itch to reread it......)

but from what I can remember (!) here's what I love abt it:

its so immersive! at least, it was for me. I had honestly forgotten that these things had even happened specifically, but I went back and read my goodreads review of it and I mention dreaming about the story and how after I finished it I sat on my bed for an hour doing absolutely nothing, because what was I meant to do? the world I had been living in had just dissipated before my eyes. I had trouble moving on after finishing wuthering heights; I would want to read but couldn't bring myself to pick up another book because that meant fully exiting its world. even though I don’t remember the contents of the dream or sitting on my bed, the feeling I had when reading wuthering heights still comes back to me whenever I think/talk abt it. its hard to put a finger on exactly what that feeling is but I can very distinctly identify it as wuthering heights.

its just so gothic. I lovelovelove gothicism. I love that wuthering heights is gothic in every possible way. theres ghosts and haunted manors and impassioned declarations and tragic ends and violent displays of love (more on this in the next point)

ever since I had to read love in the time of cholera for my sr yr english class I've been kind of obsessed with the concept of love as a violence. not violence used to desecrate love, but violence as an expression of love itself (probably also why I love hannibal lol). as aforementioned, I'm fascinated w the macabre of life. its just so interesting to see how many horrible actions can be not excused, but genuinely explained by love. love as a source of madness, desperation, desolation will always be one of my fav things to see in media

its not an unrequited love story with heathcliff the incel "nice guys always finish last" character. catherine and heathcliff truly truly love each other. but they r both in tricky spots. heathcliff is a person of color with a diminished social standing and catherine is a woman. these both hinder their options in life. I like that love does not conquer all and they don't end up together and heathcliff goes literally batshit bcos of it (kinda ties into my last point). the love is requited it just... can't be

everyone sucks!!!!! absolutely nothing means more to me than characters that fucking suck. like fr. every character is so different and yet exactly the same in the sense that you cannot morally justify liking one over the other. they are all, objectively, bad people, but at times u can't help but wish something good would happen to them, if only to find out if they would be better were their circumstances more favorable (they wouldn't ofc; most of the time, they just ruin whatever good thing even gets w in their vicinity)

I found the framing rlly interesting, the whole story w in a story thing. the end of the book was established at the beginning (or at least that's the assumption): lockwood comes to the grange and visits the heights and sees that everyone is miserable. so, the story begins: nelly is going to enlighten him as to how everyone at the heights came to be so rude and forlorn. but, that wasn't the end and I liked that. to me, it felt like brontë gave us a map at the beginning of the story and said "you're going to end up here" but once we got to that point, she just kept going. I think that strikes a rlly optimal balance of both direction and surprise. tbh I just rlly admire emily brontë as a writer

I believe thats all I can think of for now? I def have more to say on how, yes, everyone sucks, but the characters r still complex and the historical context surrounding when the book was written and the social commentary that comes along w heathcliff's identity and all that but I'm tired and feel bad its taken me this long to respond anyway!!! but def lmk what fell flat 4 u, I'm always curious to learn other ppls perspectives on books

Obsessed with your reaction to the “trades”

HAHA do u have any strong feelings abt the "trades" too or is it just me? bc the "trades" lowkey make me so sad. like wdym the season after aomine gets traded from cavs to the timberwolves the cavs become number one in the east and the wolves start sucking (compared to their performance last season, where they were number one in the west)... like that's just so heartbreaking to me... at least we can imagine ant and aomine on a team together causing chaos

kuroko's trade makes me mad for a different reason, even tho dallas is performing better than the spurs (but no big difference from last season @ this time), they've separated kuroko and wemby!!! wemby doesnt need chris paul he can have kuroko. or fuck it he can have both of them! now the spurs r really a problem! but nooo now he's on the mavs... i'm sure its bc of the luka magic or kyries skills or whatever but i dont caaaare... i feel like kuroko fits the spurs so much better

also i think kuroko looks sooo much better in the spurs uniforms than any of the dallas uniforms! he doesnt need to be in blue all the time... the black and white suits him nicely! now aomine on the other hand... i Do think he looks better in the current wolves uniforms, but thats just because i hate the current cavs uniforms LMAO. i think the og knb x nba crossover made pretty good matches for the characters to their teams! whoever's in charge needs to free themselves from always matching hair color to the uniform color but alas... at least nobody else changed teams (from what i saw)

hi not the biggest expert on colour palettes but i would say im Fairly competent SO here r what tips i have

first of all, a lotta colour theory is bullshitting it n just picking whatever looks good. if u think it looks nice, thats probably bc it does

then theres ofc the basics, yknow. complimentary colours, green looks good with red, purple looks good w yellow etc etc. and how if u rlly wanna make a colour pop, u use its complimentary colour around it to accentuate it. 4 example if a character has yellowy orange eyes n u want those eyes 2 be a big focus u use dull blues in other places etc etc

altho, most the time when im pickin colour palettes, i use references. photography n other pieces that u think look nice r good places 4 that. lately ive been drawing fandom stuff based on screenshots from the game life is strange, and using colour palettes from there and just adjusting to fit whatever im drawin. does lead 2 some difficult situations, 4 example if a character has purple hair and the scene has no purple in it, how do u make the purple fit. stuff like that. unfortunately idk an easy way around this other than Fuck Around And Figure It Out. not find out tho bc ur doin the figuring part.

another thing is just a Lotta adjusting. makin a piece and then afterwards makin it an overlay layer ontop of some other colours, or adjustin the contrast or saturation or w/e the fuck u want. once again, fuckin around, figuring it out.

also, there r no rules ofc. do whatever u want. "cheat", break the "rules", take someone elses picture n trace it n try to colour it in interesting ways, replicate anything u like the look of, do whatever playing around n fucking around it takes to get to know ur own art better. there r basic rules 2 posting ofc but if its for the betterment of ur own skill or for fun or 4 the sake of art do whatever the shit u want.

and premade colour palettes 2 r usually a saviour. ik the blog color-palettes is great since all their palettes r tagged with colours, so if u want one w green orange and red, u can find em

DJ (they/he?) is nicknamed Faith, and with the og japanese name this nickname would be Chu(ji)

Timpanist (he/it) is nicknamed Val, jpnese version would be Oo(shiki) or just Midori bc that's a bit more presentable name

The Cellist (they/she/he). Uh. I don't have a set nickname for them I usually just call them The Cellist/ cellisake I think they'd be okay with being referred to as that too. I've also called them Algin even tho that's technically not who they are... I've seen Blade as a nickname for them but something like Jr or Kid in reference to the whole "First Child" thing could work. Idk I'm indecisive ig they have a lot of nicknames

The Cellist and Faith started the band and Val joined soon after. Perhaps it makes more sense for it to be the other way around but I feel like with the Cellist being stubborn and more out there with their ideas that they'd initially forgo a more traditional instrument until they realized something was missing.

Val and Faith live together. The Cellist lives alone, maybe nextdoor w/ a lil pulley system between the two houses. Houses made during the Salmon Run are not really meant to be long term so this was meant to be a temporary arrangement to streamline their work but as you can see it's been some time.

Faith finds this nice, they were pretty much homeless and just couch surfing pre omega 3 and ended up moving in w/ one of them in their permanent ocean residences and they decided for the Salmon Run to keep a similar idea

Faith likes a lot of urban, cool culture. Streetwear, graffiti, hip hop and break-dancing... etc etc. They're also very tech savvy. Preferred genres r edm/techno, rap +rnb and punk...

Val enjoys an active lifestyle. Into travel, camping, fishing and more outdoorsy things, working hard, eating well, taking part in festivities and trying to give back to the community when he's not too caught up in his own stuff. Likes traditional salmonid music a lot but also pretty big on grunge and nu-metal

The Cellist likes reading and interacting with art that is like. "good enough" for him. Most of it is confusing or dreary. Likes coffee in the morning and maybe a small glass of scotch on a lonely evening. And being right. As for genres he'll go for whatever he thinks is groundbreaking in specific songs mostly regardless of genre.. but I feel he'd like rock. Probably post punk and more experimental stuff? Maybe folk and some classical music... idk idk!!! If anything it's mostly stuff like Trout Mask Replica...

The Cellist does however claim to not like pop music. This is usually not a lie but. She does actually like some of the Squid Sister's songs maybe even some stuff from OTH or C-Side. She would rather die than admit this.

I do feel like if any of them had to choose a favorite band of the ones we know DJ would choose Dedf1sh or Sashimori maybe C side.. Val would go for bottom feeders and Cellist would say uhh ink theory may be.. it’s good jazz music

They have all physically fought on multiple occasions. There's been at least one near breakup too

The Cellist's dorsal/hair fin is greying, their coloration is also a bit warmer than other salmonids

Val is not completely blind it its injured eye but its vision is fucked. It's also sensitive to light and sensation which is a major reason for the eye patch

They all respect each other as musicians and people and deep down they all care but they really do argue a lot. They're not really people who blend well together at all. DJ rebels against all that is mainstream and all they don't like and even stuff they're more neutral on for the hell of it. They kindof think they're cool for being a jackass but theyve also just become very callous bc they didnt have a choice when they were younger... and they kind of feel like they're still on the defense. Esp since the other two are more experienced and older and tend to treat him like a kid sometimes esp the cellist...

Val means well but he often struggles to take others into account. He's very goal oriented, a one-way track sort of guy who often acts more than a little clueless or even selfish. Not as petty or stubborn as the Cellist but he's got a lot of inertia. That and he's just... kind of shit at socializing in ways that don't piss other people off. Says a lot of accidentally insensitive stuff too. Comes off pretty intense to some as well!! And the Cellist. Well. Stubborn, emotionally repressed, physically and verbally clumsy... they are also a very sensitive person with a lot of emotional empathy where they kind of sponge up whatever vibe they feel, but they don't quite have the ability to act on what they think would make things right!

So yeah they fight a lot between these clashing personalities that bring out the worst in each other and other creative differences. The stress of the job adds to it!

Faith has an older sister. Val has two older brothers and many younger siblings. The Cellist is an only child which is uncommon in salmonid society

Faith is a Goldie, at least partially so. Val is a cohock from a family of steelheads and Big Shots and is extra durable bc of this. The Cellist is a Maws or meant to be one... he either did not complete training or retired due to his clumsiness...

All of them have healthy appetites esp Val and the Cellist

Val and the Cellist have both been in different bands before. Val was in a rock band that only lasted a summer when he was like 17-18 and then was part of a traditional salmonid music ensemble for a couple years before ω-3

As for the Cellist they’ve been through a couple different musical groups. They left most due to creative differences and not getting along with band mates.

What are your favorite dates to have with them? s/i 1's most favorite date he ever took her on was one where he couldn't afford a proper dinner date somewhere nor did he really have a place to stay for the night. . but this was when he was still too anxious to go to her house often. so what he did was he found a very obscure alley, and he got some mattresses and blankets and stuff and made a little fort for them (cos bb loves the forts, and it would keep them from getting rained on if there was weather). he got spray paint, chinese takeout, and stole a guitar. . and they hung out together for the night until she convinced him to go home with her once they were getting tired. . he was teaching her how to draw with the spray paint, got her extra shrimp on her little rice box. . played a little quiet guitar for her while they laid on each other. very nice night for them. . for me and barry tho, i like taking him out with me to old drive-ins or car shows :0 he likes old cars and motorcycles and stuff, and i like the movies. . so car shows and drive-in theatres are like. . the coolest for him to go on. uvu

What are their favorite dates to have with you? he likes to find hideouts i think :0 or spending the night at hotels where they can do whatever they want no consequences (except s/i 1 still worries about trashing the hotel room consequences and doesnt usually fall into that kdjfds-) but he likes going to cool abandoned stuff or finding neat places to sneak into with her. i think he would do the same with me, except given the f/o version of him cant drag me out to scary places, he just keeps me feeling safe whenever im walking around at night and thats how we talk and hang out sometimes.

What do you think they smell like? assuming he's not covered in blood and sweat from fighting on the streets, he normally smells very heavily of worn leather, cheap cologne, smoke, whiskey. . like, you know he's been outside and that jacket has gone through every kind of weather, but the leather smell is still thick and very addictive. bad influence he is. if he doesnt get you smoking off his cigarettes, drinking with him, or doing something stupid, you get hooked on his jacket like the metaphorical drug he's looking for instead.

What is your f/os biggest love languages? They don't have to be one of the "five", it can be anything specific they use to show you love. he's very physical, but to know he's not just thinking of you as a one-off, its just that he keeps coming back for you. he keeps in contact with you, he trusts you. . the man is on the run. if he wants to keep you, he's going to try to, even if he can't do it as often as he likes at first. he has to ease himself into feeling safe to keep going back to somewhere not because of you, but because of the people he works for or against, and because he's scared of putting the one he cares about in danger. To know him as anything other than "Smiley" or see the tender side from his alter ego, that is his one step towards maybe liking you more than he planned to. he also has teasing where he's being a bully, and teasing because he likes someone and likes to see their cute reactions to things or play with them. he banters for love.

Do you guys sleep in the same bed? If so, what's it like sleeping with them? barry, both as f/o and in the universe with s/i 1, will. . try on occasion to stay the night. he gets anxious about the police or his enemies finding him when he sleeps somewhere, and on top of him worrying about them getting the other person involved, he doesnt always actually sleep when he stays the night unless he is plum exhausted from running or other things. he likes to share a bed with me or s/i 1, he likes to get close and grabby and physical until we/they both fall asleep because he rarely gets that anymore even from the girls he used to sleep with, but he feels like he cannot or something bad will happen.

What's your favorite headcanon about your f/o? ok ive got a couple. one: the guy can almost never just freaking die lol. he's gotten a tv smashed on his head in a flooded boat, several car and motorcycle wrecks, he's fallen from the like, fifth floor of the Capitol Records building or something ONTO A PIANO. . omg. and then for f/o version, i HC that Ford didn't quite get a fatal shot on him and Smiley was just stunned. He just has immeasurable luck against fate itself or something lol. He's escaped traps and captures i dont know how many times. two: he had to learn to like cats. . he used to hate them. very much a dog guy instead, he likes the scary ones but he also likes really any kind of dog that isnt just annoying (he's less fond of the yappy smaller breeds), but he does learn to like cats. . so now he likes my cats :)) but only my cats. . and only some of the nice strays he's come across, but he's still kind of hesitant of cats most of the time.

What is the dynamic that you and your f/o have? very stereotypical bad boy/criminal x good girl kind of thing. he would sneak onto college grounds with s/i 1 or me, smuggle himself places he wasnt supposed to be to meet up. he's got a soft spot for ones like s/i 1. . very tough guy/soft baby contrast going on. love him. he does indulge in those stereotypes or lets us play cops and robbers with him but hot wheels version.

What does your f/o do for you when you're having a rough day? he doesnt know well how to comfort really other than going like "ah yeah, fak that guy." or getting your mind off things. he'll get me to think of other stuff like cool stories he's got of literal crimes he's committed, bank heists he went on, or he plays hot wheels with me or tells me about cool cars he saw or got to ride (as in he stole them, and they may or may not have been crashed before he could return them from "borrowing" them for a joy ride.) he also talks in funny cockney slang, usually insults or horrible things one shouldnt say to make me laugh. uvu

If so, what's that like? ya!! he let me hold his hand, he dont mind 👉🏻 👈🏻 he would rather be holding other things rdfgkdf- he's kind of a grabby guy, but he can hold hands too instead. he keeps a good grip on me to keep me safe, its kind of a habit for him, but not so tight or overly protective as other f/os are. more casual for him.

hmmm, it wasn't <i>bad</i> per se - tho it took some time to really get going and effort to wrap my head around some things - but it didn't live up to the hype

the writing.. wasn't bad just.. idk felt v matter of fact and void of emotion? wasn't really vibing with it tbqh

it took about 30% for things to really get going/really interest and hook me, and also for me to sorta wrap my head around this world, the characters and the magic/card system. it did progressively get better and the second half was def a step up, and that chalice/truth serum game scene was def one of the highlights of the book, both for the elspeth/ravyn bits and the elm/ione crumbs

I liked elspeth and ravyn well enough and you know what, they got some pretty nice couple-y moments that had me👀🥺 - but.. I just didn't really feel their rs and its progression of strangers to lovers, yeah they r hot, yeah they have some similar life experience, yeah they have the same goal and are united to reach it, but still, just, didn't really feel it, idk maybe it was the writing, maybe something else, its hard to put my finger on it. I'm on board with them and could appreciate them and their sweet/badass moments, but ig not as much as I had hoped I would? - not bad, but ain't as good as it could've been (could be the tag line of the book)

I knew elm and ione would be a thing in book 2, so I paid close attention and their interactions, and while few and smol they were so👀🥺😏 like their shared smirks at his bro's expense or the bit where hauth was using her and elm took her face in his hands then overpowered his bro to free her. I loved the elm/ione crumbs and was v much lookin forward to more in the next book

(I started last night, and they are already serving, tho ione is pretty hard to read ngl, but elm? with his secret crush on her, even from before gahhhhh)

big fan of venom and symbrock, so I'm always down for parasitic rs lmao - the nightmare and elspeth had an interesting thing going, tho honestly the big reveal of who it/he was was so easy to spot, the fact it took the poor girl 11 years to realise is💀

the card thing is interesting to be sure, but tbh the whole thing + the royal fam who's who was a bit hard to wrap my head around, I had to stop and look up a guide💀 it got a bit better once I found a cards summary of which card can do what and what's it cost + a list of characters and who they relate to, but still I shouldn't need to rely on some guide lines xd

and tbqh I still don't really get some of the card stuff.. like, I get that they are trying to unite the deck and break the Curse or whatever, and it's been pretty clear that there's only a certain number of cards and the whole deck makes 78, nothing more nothing less, but the way the story went gave the impression that there were several decks? which isn't the case, but that's how it came across? cos the king was looking to unite the deck, was looking for the twin addlers, which makes one think that he has most of the rest, but then our guys were also doing the same and said they only had a couple left, at the end they only needed the well and the twins.. but? the guards had their black horses and the royal fam had their red scythes and ione had a maiden, the king had the 2nd nightmare, other people were seen carrying around other colors? how? if team ravyn had <i>all, but the last 2</i> cards in their possession, hidden away then how come there were all those cards moving around and even if we assume they were planning on taking away the guards and royals cards that would still take time and maneuvering and those cards weren't in their possession yet, so it really don't add up for me - cos again, there's only one deck, but it felt like there were more cards floating around, unless team ravyn didn't actually have all the cards, but it was said that they did?! ion get it fam

also again the writing, honestly the action scenes and the elspeth/nightmare attacking scenes and just some stuff in general was sometimes a bit hard to follow

so yeah, interesting premise, great characters, some good rs moments, but the emosh development of it didn't really come across for me, the writing wasn't my fav and some magic/world building/cards related stuff just really was not clear - the potential was there, the execution could've been better

PS.: one more thing; for how close elspeth and ione were supposed to be and how ione was el's fav cousin you'd think she'd be more worried about her and more proactive to at least try to help her, even if they had an argument about ione wanting her to let her make her own choices and yeah I get that el had a lot on her plate and all, but whenever ione was present she tried her best to help elspeth out and their rs felt v one sided in that sense tbh (maybe it's my ione bias speaking, but that's just how I felt🤷🏻‍♀️)

she has a nice voice and her narration was good, but I felt like she didn't really have the distinct character vices down. I recently listened to the Dark in You series and say what you want about that narration (particularly harper's bratty voice) when someone spoke I <i>knew</i> exactly who it was, each character had such a distinct voice - not here tho, there was a distinction between male/female sure, but there were times when say elspeth shouted but it was in a voice closer to ravyn's than her own idk it wasnt bad, but it could've been a bit better yano)

played fae farm during the trial week on switch ... the npcs are made of cardboard and there r some weird bugs and quirks in the game but i had a good time. may or may not have gone a lil insane and completed the whole story and made it to almost the end of summer year 2

gonna write out some thoughts

one of the weird quirks is that u can't name ur character. they will just simply be named after like ur steam or switch or whatever profile. unless u make a phoenix labs account then u can change ur name that way, but if u go offline at all it switches back to the profile name until u log in again (pause > multiplayer > login button; u don't have to actually do multiplayer just log in). very annoying when i do not like to play as myself in these games & also just a strange decision in general imo

character creator is decent but i would recommend going to the voice selection and hitting "silent" before actually getting into it LOL the noises the character makes get so annoying after a bit... the pronoun selection is nice (he she or they) & u can go back into the character creator using a craftable mirror so u can switch all that stuff up whenever u want

the storyline was cute; not exactly deep but the artwork was neat. i liked all the rhymes and the storybook-y feel. the sprites have nice designs. wisp mother should be a romance candidate but she is not

gameplay felt nice; i liked the auto tool switching and the double jump a lot, & having spells and potions that helped with farming was cool. very light on tutorials but if ur experienced with the genre its not too hard to figure out (idk how it is w/o experience bc i cannot un-experience things). having year-round plants that u use magic fertilizer on to change them into seasonal varieties was funky

animals are pretty quirky and a lil buggy. sometimes i would try to water a plant or something and a chicken would teleport to me from across the farm and get pet. or they would just wander away from the Sign That Is Supposed To Keep Animals Near It and get in the way. fences cannot stop them they will simply walk thru it. also in my experience my cows and sheep would stop giving milk and wool if i didnt enter the barn the day before, even if they had food? weird lil quirk there but once i figured it out it was fine

u can pretty much ignore the animals and their affection will still go up & theyll still produce things as long as u feed them, and also the only punishment for not feeding them is they don't produce things. very forgiving. something i thought was really interesting tho that they dont actually point out in game is that petting ur animals gives u some regen on ur stamina and magic and probably hp, which is Super handy and a neat mechanic that got me to continue paying attention to my animals anyway

decorating ur house with specific furniture gives u a "cozy home" bonus; basically this is how u increase ur hp/mp/stamina, which i think is also a pretty neat lil mechanic

also flower breeding is a mechanic. 6 types of flowers, 6 different genes, 12 unique colors. works pretty much like acnh but also u can breed 2 different types of flowers (so like a rose and a tulip) and u'll have a 50/50 shot at getting one or the other. i got almost every color and i will be haunted by the white zinnia until i have an actual copy of the game. also the genes are actually displayed in a lil tooltip when the cursor is over the flower which is really really cool and good and i love that feature so so much it makes everything so much easier and less frustrating

the game doesnt tell u this iirc but crops and flowers can be moved if u go into the uhhhh build mode. like u can just pick up a whole plant and move it wherever. very handy for both flower breeding and just organizing things in general. u can just pick up and move almost anything, & if u can't u can tear it down and get all materials back. u cannot do either thing to a crafting station that has items in it though u have to get the items out first if u want to break it down or move it

flowers r very important if u like customization also. u unlock 2 color palettes (a grand total of 6 colors) automatically and u have to buy the rest. most of them cost like 30 of a particular flower + some other item + money. u can recolor furniture and outfits with ur unlocked color palettes which is nice

combat was fine, bonus points for the potion of i just want to mine please don't perceive me. also bonus points because there is actually a storyline reason for the monsters to be there; always hate it when a game is like "videogame... have combat. videogame Must have combat. i put monsters in cave. now this is a real video game :)" like nah tell me where those slimes came from. in this case the monsters are objects animated by wild magic and they have cute designs and goofy lil names like cannot (a cannon) and skello (a cello)

there are 3 dungeons in the game & the latter two have funky lil puzzle mechanics. if u aint like that then theres things u can make to skip most of em. i thought they were neat & being able to remove them pretty easily meant they didnt overstay their welcome. they also require specific potions so u don't like "die" (get teleported out of the dungeon, which is also what happens if u lose all ur hp) which would probably be cooler if pausing the game would pause the timers on the potions. i assume that sort of thing is because the game was made with multiplayer in mind; this is presumably also the reason why having anything pause time at all in singleplayer was added in an update after launch

(pausing also does not pause monsters. they will murderize u with the pause screen up. on switch u can just go to the home menu 4 a proper pause at least)

the npcs are as mentioned largely made of cardboard; most of the ones u can't befriend (most of the merchants) have the same pool of lines, and the ones u can have a few personal lines and a bunch of lines referencing things uve done in the game even if its been like 10 years since u did it (common in the genre). there are no events with the non-romance npcs or interactions between any npcs except for like some animations; every conversation witnessed is an npc talking to protagonist. the only events are the dates with the romance characters, which are just them and protagonist sitting around and talking with absolutely nothing happening. the dialogue is cute at least

romance npcs' statuses will sometimes get stuck for some reason (this happened to 2 of them when i played) but that i think should be fixable with the "reset relationship" button, which is a pretty cool feature (tho my understanding is it's also a bit buggy sometimes so ymmv)

festivals are just decorations in town and a shop in town hall (including the fae festival, which one would expect to happen in the fae realm). characters have a few unique lines referencing the festival. sometimes they reference... the Wrong festival. goofy lil oversight i think. birthdays are on the calendar but have no impact in-game

marriage is also very nothing; u get a cute wedding scene and then ur spouse just vibes around the farm sometimes. there is no dialogue about this. also other romance npcs' relationship status change to "past sweetheart" or something like that and u cant progress with them at all since ur not allowed to be friends with them

gift giving is also only for romance npcs and each one has a random item that is the only thing u can possibly give them that day. but like talking to them gives good enough points regardless

job quests (questlines related to each skill u have, given by npcs related to that skill) are neat lil "challenges" but u can only pick up one at a time for some reason. weird design choice imo. they give u a hat for doing all the quests and an outfit if u do all the quests And some 100% requirement (like getting every crop at least once for the farming quests, making one of each polished gem variety for mining, etc) which i think is pretty neat

overall i think i would compare it to story of seasons: pioneers of olive town (particularly in its initial state) in that the npcs are very nothing but the gameplay loop is very good and fun; between the two i would say fae farm has the better story tho lol

i think shes very into both HEAVILY STORY DRIVEN GAMES and FIGHTING GAMES and thats it . they lsoe interest with stardew valley type things really fast its gotta be either fast paced and competitive OR have a really good compelling story that they can get super into . the story driven part of it overlaps with jedidiah a lot so when jeddys not in his "i will never talk to anyone ever" era they infodump about the lore and theories they hav about whatever game theyr both happening to be into rn (:

its funny i ship yvonne with like EVERYONE so im incorporating this into a hc . theyr the type to have TONS of crushes all at once she has a thing for like four girls at any given time constantly she just falls for people super easy bc they just See Nice Things in people a lot even though they tease people constantly too . they make fun of joshua for the same thing tho but insist its different bc theyre not a LOOOOSER about it (like joshua so very much is) . she can be a loser on occasion too though they r STILl embarrassed about the time marisol came over to say hi to them and they got so excited to see her that she dropped a whole box of shit she was carrying to another cabin in the lake 

i think theyre farsighted but they NEVER EVER wear their glasses for closeup that theyre meant to . she thinks they make her look less cool and they give her a bit of a headache so shes like eh . joshua gets on her about it a lot and is like Yvonneee but they cannot be convinced . not EVER 

i think they used to dy their hair new colors ALL the time in college theyd be constantly changing haircolor they couldnt keep the same hairdye for a WEEK . btu eventually they settled on green and have stayed that way ever since (: they also have a lot of green clotehs and shit to match it itd be hard to change the vibe now . they like color coordinating shit they think its fun and relaxing

note🌸 i ranked em all based on how good they looked and how memorable their looks were. bam tier is code for bland, and who the FUCK r u is for the charas i dont remember, or havent seen in the story. when i reach the lower tiers i'll just talk abt a few charas per tier. this is my opinion etc etc lets roll.

S: amazing breath taking show stopping fabulous🌸 noone. my standards for fashion r either rlly high or i cant get em low nuff for a single character to get there.

A: luv that for them🌸 that is more characters than i expected and i feel like my bias got em way higher than they should've been. ahem anyways, white's clone looked nice and was memorable nuff. cant get her lower cus the dress was cute, but she was extremely minor so i cant rank her any higher, im already doin her a favor. white oh boy. he constantly has either banger looks or he looks like he just came from cleaning up horse shit. i cant reasonably rank him higher, cus of that red sweater look and cus of the coat he had in s3. maschenny was pretty. thats all. her dresses were nice, she wasnt annoying and she didnt give a shit abt anyone so obv my bias played in and i ranked her A yier. deal w it. Garam was,,, okay? listen i was rlly trying to get sumone higher up i didnt have many options mkay. her wearing a short skirt was whatev but i liked her hair. Yasratcha cus he's a cat boy. hated his shoes so he's lower than Eduan, but whatev. Paracule,,, he was memorable, not a fashion disaster, relatable, whats not to look for in a man!

B: potentials there ig🌸 Red Witch was cute and better than the gps we have. nothin else to say other than that i liked her hair and dress. Lero,,, i was doing a favor cus his s1 clothes did none. Life can be hard and some days can be rough, especially in your line of work where people competed for the spotlight on a daily basis. but that's life and that’s the road you chose to walk through.  And it's alright, after all, what's life without a spark? A movie without a breaking point? or a shift at Clayton's without drama?

This was one of these days, the kind of days who kept you on an edge as your body and mind both ached for a break.

'Just roll with it. just a few hours for your day off.' You silently said to yourself.

Being a young artist in New York was a challenge you’ve taken on yourself, luckily for you working at "Clayton's" was a good way to start a career.  most people who started working there were young talented artist who were determined to make an impression over the industry. The place was always packed with many famous people, from actors to singers and producers. So, in many ways, working in "Clayton's" could be a ticket to Broadway or the music industry. And that was the reason you moved there in the first place.

You tried the traditional way, but after months of trying to get into college and fix your past mistakes, like your high school career, you decided that this path wasn’t for you. no matter what you did or how hard you tried your ADHD still managed to kick your ass. So, that’s how you ended up as a singing waitress in NY. You liked your job, truly. You liked singing and dancing and meeting cool people along the way, but sometimes it was just too much.

"You look like shit" Aaron said from his spot at the bar.

Aaron was a sweet guy and probably the only straight person in your group of friends. He was charming and talented and most importantly; he was the first friend you got in NY.

Aaron pulled his long brown hair into a bun as he chuckled at you. You huffed in frustration in return.

"Thanks" you muttered as he passes you a mug with coffee, hoping to help you get a grip before the restaurant opens.

"You need to rest" he said. "properly" 

"that’s overrated" you joked and took a sip.

You felt an hand on your shoulder and you turned around to meet your friend's stern gaze. "You, okay?" she asked

"Always" you answered Mackenzie's question and she raised her eyebrow, knowing full well you were lying. 

"we should sing as a warm up!" David, another one of your coworkers and Aaron's twin brother said.

"Let's not" Aaron said as he rolled his eyes at his brother's enthusiasm. 

You laughed quietly as the two started bickering. Mack and you glanced at each other knowingly. Both of you already know who will win in the stupid argument.

15 minutes later, after a group warm up and Aaron's dramatic sighs 'Clayton's' was open for business.

It was a nice evening, not too full, not too loud. And most importantly, not too many known faces.

Of course, you liked to have famous people on your shifts, and it could obviously be a game changer for you but it can get intense at times and you want in the mood. Seriously, how can you be the only one who found singing "defying gravity' in font of Idina Menzel as a very stressful experience?? You were terrified by the idea you'll fuck up in front of the original singer- and make a total fool out of yourself. 

When 10 pm rolled around, every opinion you had about the evening flew out the window. at this point, the restaurant was full with costumers and some known faces as well, and you found yourself holding every inch of you together as you approach the table who was occupied by the one and only Meryl Streep, and some fellow little women cast members.  

 *rule number 1 of working at Clayton's: don't make costumers feel uncomfortable. Don't annoy the costumers, don't ask for autographs if they're famous and generally treat them as normal and respectfully as you can. *

 "Hello, my name is Y/N and ill be your waitress for tonight" you introduced yourself with a small smile. The women smiled at you brightly.

"How does it work" Meryl held the tablet with a puzzled expression. "Am I that old?" She joked

"Barley" One of the other women, Emma fucking Watson, said. 

"I know it looks complicated-" you told them as you took the tablet from Meryl's hand."-But it's pretty simple, actually, I promise. As you can see the top part of the tablet is divided into two sections: The right one who says 'ask for a waiter'- which means that your waiter- which in this case, me, is busy- probably performing at the moment, and you can ask for a different waiter." You said with an ease, knowing the explanation by heart.

"The left section says 'ask for my waiter' which is a pretty simple one to understand... I guess- if you'll need me for whatever reason, you can press it and it'll page me. Feel free to use it."  You said with a smile as you scanned their faces, making sure they understand the first part.

"And the bottom section?" Saoirse asked. 

"The bottom section is the 'refill' sections. It will get into validation only after ill place your order in my own tablet and send to the kitchen." You explained as you gestured to your own tablet. "It's pretty useful, the point of it is that you can ask for a refill without having to social with me. Its awesome"

You noticed one of them, Florence pugh, scanning the tablet with a small smile- as she listened to your explanation. She was absolutely a sight for sore eyes, that's for sure.

"Thats pretty cool" she said and you nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, I got really excited over it when I started working here" you admitted awkwardly "most importantly- When a section isn't relevant its will be grey instead of in color so you won't get confused. Like, for example - if You haven't ordered anything yet you can't get a refill, for the obvious reason. or if I'm not performing you can't ask for another waiter... which means you're stuck with me for the time being" you finished with a small chuckle.

"I don't think any of us mind that" Florence smiled and the others agreed. The blonde smiled at you again and you blushed slightly. "You're singing, right?" she asked out of the blue, just when you were about to leave and let them look through their menus. 

"Yeah, i do. In a few minutes, actually" 

"Thats cool! Good luck" she smiled and you wondered if Emma, who set the closest to you, could hear how fast your heart's beating. 

"Thank you" you said with a smile and turned around to the stage.

"you paged? I'm guessing you guys ready to order then" You said as you approached their table after your performance. 

"YOU WERE SO GODD!" Florence said excitedly.

"Thank you" you blushed slightly. 

What. The. Fuck. Y/N?! You scolded yourself.

The others joined into the conversation with their own compliments and you thought you'd die when Meryl Streep, the legend herself, complimented you.

After another few moments the conversation calmed downed and moved to the next, and most important topic: the food. You tried your best to not blush under Florence's soft gaze and keep your focus on the other members of her table as they consulted you about the dishes, but damn, that was hard.  luckily for you it didn’t take long and a few minutes later, their order was sent to the kitchen. 

 The next hour and a half weren't much different. you sang and placed orders, you smiled to costumers and even pretend to laugh at some old man's joke. And maybe (just maybe) you glanced over to Florence every now and then.

The thing about Clayton's is that apart for the famous people who visit there frequently, it also contains many of the rich and the snobs of New York, so you weren't surprised when you got paged from a table who was occupied by two guys with fancy clothes and their parents credit card.

"Hey" one of them said to you as you approached them. 

"hey, welcome to Clayton's! You're David's table, right?" You said and pointed at your friend who started his own performance.

"Yeah, the fag one" the other guy said and your smile fell.

Take a deep breath, Y/N. It's not worth it. 

"I see you guys already ordered a few minutes ago" you said as you checked your tablet.

"Yeah" the asshole confirmed. 

"Okay, in that case, how can I help you?" You asked politely as you could. 

"we would like to get the check." The first guy said politely as he pulled out a few bills from his wallet. "Keep the change" he said as you took it and made sure it was enough.

"Thank you" you smiled politely and made a mental note to give David his well-earned tip.

"my brother want to know if you're single" the asshole said and the nicer guy looked at his with his eyes wide.

"I'm sorry, I'm in a relationship" you lied after a moment, hoping the lie will spare both his feeling and any more questions in the subject.

The guy nodded in understanding but on the other hand, the other guy didn’t seem to get the massage.  

"I'm sure he won't mind sharing" the asshole said and you felt sorry for the poor guy for being related to this ass.

"What the fuck Chad" the nice guy said as chad smirked at you.

"yeah... that’s not going to happen." You glared at him "have a great weekend tho" you gritted out and turned around to leave.

you were taken by surprise when you felt chad's hand on your ass. Again, what the fuck?!

"What the fuck is wrong with you' asshole" you gritted out and moved away from him. 

Don't make a scene. He's not worth it. 

"C'mon-" he started to say as he got up. You moved away, knowing you were cornered since the place was full, the lights were deemed and the music was loud. 

"Don't touch me" you said and moved away; you're back hitting an empty table who stood nearly.

"Hey what's going on here?" You heard and turned to catch Florence walking to you.

If a look could kill chad would’ve been dead. that’s for sure. It's like the sweet and excited Florence had left and a different, intimidating (and hot) version of her took her space and so help you god, you were glad she was on your side.

"Nothing! we were just leaving, really" Frankie said.

"None of your business" brad said and Florence raised her perfectly shaped eyebrow, daring him to cross her.

"I see" she said "well, I'm sure y/n won't mind my intruding" 

'Thank god for Florence Pugh.' You thought.

Before chad could press the subject any further David, who just finished his performance, got there. You were sure he noticed that something was happening.

"what's going on here?" he asked after he scanned the situation quickly.

"nothing as I said to your friend, we were just leaving" Frankie said again. 

he didn’t want to draw any negative attention, just like you, and thankfully for the both of you, not many people noticed the situation.

This time chad didn't answer, he just glared at Florence and you while his brother pulled him away from the place.

"so, are you going to tell me what happened?" David asked Florence and you after the two left.

Florence looked at you, waiting for you to answer him. 

"Nothing" you lied. "it's okay David, you can go" you promised your friend. David looked at you with his 'I done believe you' expression, but he didn't press it any further. He just nodded before he turned around and left. 

 Rule number 2: do not make a scene under no circumstances. At Clayton's, everything you do while you're on the clock is practically showcased. You slip? you fall? you sing out of tune? Its under a spotlight, everyone can see that and everyone will have something to say about it. Thats the thing about this place.  most people who started there and moved on to bigger things as Broadway or Hollywood were practically trained to keep their best poker face, act on the demand or pretend that everything is okay when it was clearly not. 

 "You should go back to your table" you said to Florence 

she looked at you with an unreadable expression before she went back to her table. You didn't have much time to read into it since a few minutes later you found yourself at her table, printing their check and having a small friendly conversation with the women. You smiled at them as they left before you turned your tablet off and went to cover for Aaron at the bar.

 "I thought you guys left" You said with a smile when the blonde approached you a few minutes later. 

"Why did you lie?" Florence asked with the same unreadable expression from earlier.

Okay. No smiling then.

"I didn’t" you pulled out two shot glasses and filled them with tequila. The blonde gave you a 'are you kidding me' kind of look and you couldn't help but to chuckle. "I didn't see a reason to make a scene over nothing" you explained and downed one of the shots.

"It wasn't nothing Y/N" she said before taking the other glass. 

"its fine. I'm fine. He didn’t do anything " you said as she downed her shot.

"Yeah, because I was there" she argued.

"I can handle guys like him. Seriously, at this point it might as well be a part of my job"

"I liked you better smiling" you chuckled as she glared at you.
