Recently ive been coming to understand myself as aromantic, which is so interesting because I’ve thought of myself as a lesbian for so long. I think i feel some sort of alterous/sensual/other attraction to women that im still figuring out, but now that i see myself as aromantic i dont feel the need for labels as much as i used to. Its both funny and sad that I didn’t know this word for my feelings for so long, it really would have kept me front going through a lot of grief if I had an explanation, and I’m sure the same can be said for a number of people.

Some things I remembered recently that should have really tipped me off to being aromantic when I first discovered the term years ago:

- hearing a rumor that my middle school bf might want to kiss me, causing me to run screaming and start crying in the bathroom. all the girls in my class followed me to the bathroom to make sure i was okay and my teacher freaked lol

- I almost never have nightmares, and when I do I’m never spooked by them. But I’ve had several where someone confessed their feelings for me and I begrudgingly accepted their advances because I felt bad for them and didn’t want to hurt their feelings. Everytime I woke up from these dreams I felt really anxious and nervous and would avoid the person I dreamt about until I felt better.

- actually started considering I was aro years ago! But then my (very misguided) friend told me that wasn’t possible and that I liked [name of ex gf]. I took them at their word bc im a fool lol and we dated for 10 months !

- getting frustrated when my friends had dating drama with each other, especially when it was unrequited. I can recall saying often that they should just be happy to have the other person in their life at all.

- hating most romance in movies/tv. That could be because it is often poorly written or is could be me being romance repulsed who knows lol

- the first thing that really tipped me off to being aro was that I really don’t see the hype about Zendaya and literally everyone does 💀 except me apparently

yk like after reading stormbringer + bsd drama cds + manga i kinda realised that chuuya isn't angry 24/7. bones just characterizes him that way + he does get mad when hes w dazai and in the shows timeline, hes most powerful wit dazai.

festival write-up! Notable artists I saw: Cobrah, Slayyyter, Domiziana, Eartheater, Isabella Lovestoryyyyyyy (and don't u ever forget it!)

Cobrah was insaneee I was in the front row and she is SUCH a performer. we showed up like 15 minutes before her set started and the stage hands were still setting up this ominous prop

before the concert i thought she might be the type not to talk at all between songs because she seems so otherwordly and alien to me but she did talk and was super cute actually haha tho during her songs she has that dominatrix-esque charisma. mesmerising. (also it was so funny how the photographers absolutely dashed towards her everytime she was popping her pussy lol) the crowd was screaming like crazyyyyy after suck. everyone give it up for cunnilingusssss also she was going crazy on the cross during that one, it didnt even cross my mind to film it because i was sooo sucked in (lol) her performance. amazing, 10/10 (the face the waist the nails the shape etc)

For Domiziana I just knew Ohne Benzin before and sort of listened to her music a bit before we went to her show and I really liked it! she only had a 45 minute set and I did think it was a bit of a shame that she shortened her already short songs in favour of playing a few covers, id rather she play her full songs and not the covers. anyway greatttt energy i liked the songs that i hadnt heard before, ive had malena and auf die party on repeat ever since. she was also super cute when she talked between songs lol before she played amore she talked to a fan who was apparently going offfff in the front row and asked her if she was single and then went "Oh mein Gott Lea ist singleeeeeeee 🤖" and her DJ turned the autotune on halfway thru that was so funny. im afraid im writing this in a boring way haha u had to be there 😌 she was actually walking around the festival the next day i saw her around! (and I also Nura formerly from SXTN once? that was kinda wild. she's way shorter than i thought)

Slayyyter was wall to wall gay men as expected lol. she absolutely has a set of pipes on her, those grand 80s type pop songs off of starfucker suit her sooo well. she was really giving diva, u know when drag queens strike a pose and do that intense stare at the crowd, thats what she was doing. she played remixes of venom and self destruct, they were def more techno than the originals, i wonder if that is fixed in her setlist or she did it bc its technically a techno festival. it was fun to see the contrast between her more melodic poppy stuff and then the super noisy songs like james dean and the aforementioned remixes. the crowd were loving it all. i loved it, shes a great perfomer and a lot of her songs really go offfff live, theres nothing like a crowd yelling "K! COKE! MONEY!" in the call response that is Purrr (one of my fav songs off starfucker!) and she introduced that song by going: "Who here has done any substances toniiiiiiiiiight!!!" to a grand cheer of the audience. amazing truly.

Eartheater was. um. well i think she had the most thankless venue/time slot combination, she was the very first act on the last day on the big stage and there weren't that many people in the beginning, though it filled up as her set went on. i don't really listen to her music, i've just heard a few songs before and someone whose musical taste i trust recommend that i see her show and it was cool musically! her fit was sick as well. she just seemed to be in a bad mood throughout? she told off some guy in the front row who was on his phone (?) during a song and showed him the middlefinger instead of singing, made some annoyed comments that you could hear the bass from another stage a bit, and then for her last song she played like 20 seconds on the guitar (which she had played during the concert before) and then she stopped and complained that it was out of tune blabla we dont have time to tune it and then sang accapella. idk ive never experienced something like that, i thought it was a bit uncomfortable to witness as an audience member tbh

Isabella Lovestory baby! my love my angel my mother. its my second time seeing her, last time was in a tiny club were i bullied myself to first row and didnt really have space to stand and had to lean on the speakers the entire show, good times. this time also front row because i am bordering on being a groupie for her. the guy next to me was filming her on his flip phone i hope u enjoy ur 144p footage of her king <3 anyway she was soooooooo good as expected! she opened with botoxx which was so great to see live, vip was fucking sick as well. and she played an unreleased song called telenovela which sounded great!! im really looking forward to her new album <3 and she possibly played another unreleased one but im not entirely sure? i didnt recognise it but she didnt announce it so idk it might just have been something off her first ep. i think kamixlo was djing? and he opened with love4eva by loona yyxy lol my weeb queen. oh actually for that stage there were like screens in the back (u can see it on the cobrah pic further up) where they projected some like mood images and isabella had some of perfume (the jpop group), tommy february6, and possibly newjeans? at some point. but anywayyyyy i love her so much it was so great to see her live again. oh and i did get a little chin caress at the end when she went down to the audience lol successful groupie moment

actually Cobrah Domiziana Slayyyter and Isabella Lovestory were all on the same smaller stage and i thought it was a bit of an issue that the lights coming from the back were way brighter than the ones from the front so they were all backlit as hell and u couldnt really see their faces a lot of the time :( but still great performances from all of them

other than that there were quite a few dj sets, i liked schwefelgelb and we checked out horsegiirl who was also cool though a bit too high energy for me at that moment. i liked her original songs that she played! my little white pony and obsessed were both good. and the horse mask really is something else lol. and i wanted to see sega bodega as well but he cancelled short notice bc of an ear infection :( get well soon king 💪

so...... azem hades & emet-selch lachesis eh.... giggles a little. kicks a rock. falls to my knees. there's so much evil shit going on there. there's going to be post edw spoilers SORRY not my fault.

in that au hades is a lot more. well. azem-like. not quite like how venat or canon azem would be but he does go around helping people, though he reiterates he's "simply doing his job" everytime people thank him. lachesis on the other hand is uhhhh a lot more Visibly Stressed because of Bureaucracy (he was not meant for this desk job life someone save him). they still work pretty well off of each other due to balancing each other out in Different ways there, but lachesis frequently jokes about how they probably should swap jobs, though he's quick to add that it Is just jokes bc he feels hades would get far too invested as emet-selch to a possibly unhealthy degree. (staring directly into the camera as i say this)

they had a very similar start friendship wise, not much point in changing it, it's just that through a twist of fate (funny cuz lachesis. one of the fates. Anyway) they ended up swapping seats. & in fact hades got his first, & vouched for lachesis hard as fuck! lachesis does not have hades' soul sight but #hesanempath so its ok (im joking but also. idk it makes sense To Me)

in this au the plan to summon zodiark is still something lachesis disagrees with, however by that point he's too overwhelmed by what's happening to express his opinion & when hades opposes himself to it he's genuinely baffled (not in a bad way. in a gay way.). when he does try to speak his mind after zodiark's summoning (he waited a bit bc of. seeing the azem seat struck) it feels like something is actively preventing him (that would be zodiark's tempering), & losing the agency to express himself really got to him like. quick. rapidly felt like he was losing his mind, Which He Was LOL!, & try as he might to resist zodiark's influence i think he fell to it relatively quickly. especially after the sundering. his coworkers were, i reiterate, ELIDIBUS & LAHABREA. man i would let zodiark do whatever the fuck he wants too

more seriously though they do have some kind of divorce as well but uhhhh different... hades definitely expressed hurt at lachesis choosing THAT time to keep his mouth shut. disappointment that he'd be so unwilling to risk his seat. & lachesis tried to explain but the moment he got accused of essentially being a coward he lost all explanations he could muster up & kinda fell over himself emotionally. he'd wished to try & change the convocation's minds individually after the decision was made but. that was before they erased the azem seat. it happened relatively swiftly & by that point it felt like he was stuck there. he would've had more hope he could do something about it if elidibus hadn't been chosen to be the heart of zodiark probably... i don't think they're As close in this au as they are in the og timeline (in which lachesis absolutely tried dissuading him even after his seat was struck) so he wouldn't feel like he can try to argue with him specifically. he's familiar with lahabrea but the man is wayyy more duty-bound than himself. he might have a chance with loghrif but loghrif & he wouldn't sway the entire convocation. he felt incredibly powerless, & he hadn't even been able to defend hades. that & hythlodaeus being sacrificed to summon zodiark were two of his biggest regrets that zodiark's tempering would latch onto & worsen so so much over time, & his main motivation to bring about the rejoinings is to be able to see them again, & apologise to them. & probably die after ensuring they can live happy lives honestly

igeyorhm fucking over the thirteenth made lachesis MAD AS FUCK. also deeply upset & increasingly stressed. he is acutely aware the rest of the rejoinings wouldnt be enough to bring back the old world & having this one reflection become impossible to rejoin is going to torment him for a long long time. i think he'd spend a lot of his free time trying to work out how to reverse it, but elidibus would always be tasking him with some new shit, interrupting his work & whatnot. in fact, if it didnt fuck up the flow of the story, i'd even imagine he is more likely to align himself with the wol (in this case hades shard) in post edw than in shb since what post edw is about is like. finding ways to reverse the uh, voidening of the thirteenth. it would perfectly align with his goals is the problem. butttt that is not how the story goes. playing his part in shb is sort of elidibus' design but a lot of it is him still, he's not Happy about it bc he'd reallyratherbeworkingonthevoidoverthere but UGH the warrior of light is causing problems FIIINE he'll do it. & well. what surprise! here he is. hades' shard. wielding 'black magic' as he always would yet aided by the blessing of light. how ironic! he himself is far more proficient in wielding 'white magic' but now works alongside zodiark. until then though ☝️ relatively similar to, well, hades in personality, though a lot less reluctant to express affection or approval. kind of assumes he's having really fucking weird daydreams even when everyone's telling him hydaelyn is speaking to him & ooo it's the blessing of light, why are there two ladybugs in my room??, kinda washes over him really. he keeps reiterating he's doing what he's doing not because he's anybody's champion (regardless of whether he is or not) but because he wants to & people better not attribute his deeds to some otherworldly power who could not make him do ANYTHING he does not want to do. It's Fun For Him. good friends with y'shtola as well, gets on pretty well with urianger but like... starting in post shb. before that he's like Really Fucking Sick of the secrecy shit & urianger never saying what he Means. beefs with thancred entirely too much. would've legitimately killed ser grinnaux over the tataru & alphinaud trial & is very very VERY happy he gets to actually do it later.

the way these two work in shb is. ughhhh. buh. lachesis is far freakier than hades as emet but he also poses himself as a lot more likable. overall a deeply unsettling character, but he's so certain things can work out with the power of friendship!! 💖 yeah, fuck zodiark anyway! 🎉 (he is fully planning on backstabbing the scions with the sole purpose of getting himself killed)

hades shard does recognise lachesis' soul colour (he has that. yeah.) but can't place it. all he knows is that this isnt Right, this lachesis isnt Right & whatever he is now is hardly more than a shadow of who he once was, this he believes. this makes him relatively closed off from the get go while lachesis is a lot more inviting & friendly, but as time goes on lachesis withdraws more & more, prompting hades shard to fill in the space he left by reaching out himself. lachesis is sort of tricking him into it to make the betrayal sting more, & push him to pull no punches once the final confrontation arises. hades shard is determined to put an end to this not just because of all the suffering lachesis has caused others & himself but also for lachesis' sake. ending this madness. this eternity of misery he's clearly trapped himself into. lachesis is a lot... crabbier & gloomier during the final confrontation, but again he dies with a smile on his face, with thanks & an apology to hades shard. & of course post shb hits hades shard like a brick. & then edw hits him like another brick. because it's lachesis in elpis instead of hades. yep

wait i just realised i could name hades shard after the minion. aidoneus.!!? since it's also the name i have him publicly take after he comes back & changes his face & everything to avoid unwanted attention... omg... aidoneus roquefort real? & lachesis can take on the name hildegarde if he brings himself back? (which tbh hes more likely to do than hades was so. ? happy ending for all. idc)

started tota last night... when i rly SHOULDNT HV.. cuz i hv irl things i should be tending to. but playing style savvy recently rly helped picked up my mood its like wow... video games.... makes me happy 🤯 and i forgot what it was i saw last night but smth made me go 'fuck it i wanna play a jrpg again' so here i am 😗 my thoughts so far

i think tear will be a temporary party member which makes me Sad cuz her dynamic w luke is really fun. im making a wild guess but i think maybe she and luke were childhood friends or something. i definitely think luke is from malkuth or wherever the hell we are cuz its sooooo convenient that he doesnt have any childhood memories... like wowwwwwww sureeee. theres many possibilities for lukes backstory w this setup so im very curious abt where thatll go.

also i barely know whats going on but its fine cuz its the very beginning. but constantly getting terms like The Order Of Lorelei or The Malkuth Empire or THE FON MASTERS thrown at me is like egajxhsjfbsj theres so much. i dont feel like i was ever this overwhelmed w an ff game but maybe i was and its just been a while. but i appreciate that there isnt a massive room of exposition (As Of Now and hopefully never) the way tht ff likes to do it. please show off the world rather than telling it to me.

also im very pleasantly surprised w how smooth this game is. menus open up very quickly and battles are fun and dont hv long loading times. and movement on maps in both cities and the overworld are really smooth, and at a good speed. im very happy a jrpg runs this smoothly on a handheld.

and lastly, a gripe i hv with this game is the lack of subtitles during animated cutscenes. i could not tell you anything being said during the opening cutscene bc i could not hear a single thing. i searched it up and it seems like there just arent any subtitles for animated cutscenes in the entire game, which is veryyyyyy fucking annoying 😑😑😑 especially considering that this is a port from what, sometime in the 2010s.. there is no possible excuse for not hving subtitles in ur cutscenes 😑 if anyone knows a mod that will add subs pls lmk, bc i hadnt found any 💔 luckily the game is charming enough for me to keep playing it even with this hurdle. hopefullyyy i dont miss any super important plot beats due to this.

nah bc. okok. you have a great quirk. it's very multi-use. you can shape shift into a catboy, or even a full on cat, a large one, and it makes stealth easier, provides great means of defense, the claws provide offense, amazing agility, and incredible balance.

but of course every quirk had its draw backs.

it was great, truly, but it made the whole thing really embarrassing for you sometimes. in the heat of sudden battle, of course it was worth it. but in simple training? you made it a point to use the big bathroom stall before heading out.

that was until your class met the Wild, Wild Pussycats. youd known them beforehand already through some family connection,, and they very often encouraged you to embrace your quirk, but it wasn't until the training camp that'd gone sour that they basically forced you to embrace the anime girl power transition.

okay okay now into specifics

most of your class actually think you have a pretty cool quirk. some kind of wonder why such a "simple" quirk would be in class 1-a. it seemed more of a support quirk, not that anything was wrong with that, but it just confused them.

until they saw what you could do because kING-

YOUR CLAWS,, LIKE PURR, NO PUN INTENDED

you pack a mean scratch in your tranformed state, and your control over your tail on top of you incredibly enhanced hearing just makes you really really helpful in battle.

and outside of your transformed state, you're still very agile, have enhanced sense of smell, almost a 6th sense? of sensing wrong, and basically perfect balance. at least you always manage to land on your feet, even in your clumsiest of moments.

tsu probably isn't as comfortable? it's not about the trust between you two,, she will give you a head pat sometimes but not much else. is down to make a pillow fort w you and watch movies tho. this goes for hagakure, too.

iida and todoroki are p clueless. what the hell are they supposed to do? so you don't ask them. ever. but they don't mind having you around them, of course, though todoroki is still kind of awkward about it at first.

jirou and uraraka also enjoy platonic cuddles,, but not really as much as mina. these two will let you lean on them casually. sometimes you'll talk, other times you'll just chill, you know? it's nice :)

-he knew you even before the boombox incident. he doesn't even really remember how you two first met, he just remembers that you started talking to him and then just kinda kept coming back. at first he wasn't the biggest fan of you since he was 'doing just fine on his own,' but...he admittedly was already really attached to you. they've never been much of a talker and that's especially noticeable to you at that point in time but ,,, they respond enough with signing, nodding / shaking their head, or the occasional speaking that you're able to carry some conversations pretty well.

-he doesn't really. have. a lot of people in his life. you're really his only real close friend, it's kinda hard for him to fully wrap his head around it so !! they chose not to, instead focusing more-so on whatever it was you were rambling to them about that day.

-again, he's not super good at fully recognizing / acknowledging certain thoughts and feelings of his but . yknow. he can definitely tell he at least worries about you a lot more than he would some other grunt he just met. he can definitely tell there's a reason he doesn't mind you touching him, whether by grabbing his hand to go show him something or just placing a hand on his shoulder or arm (most likely arm, again. hes tall. ). they can definitely tell there's a reason that they find themself genuinely enjoying your interactions.

-after the park thing you don't see them for a long time. everytime you try and call him the lines dead, everytime you try and ask others about him you just get choice words, all in all you're pretty much lost on the entire thing. sure, you know what happened but . it just never sits right with you. it doesn't help whenever people ask questions about them or give you wary looks because of your association, half steps back when you take one forward.

-anyway. yeah nevada goes to shit and you get magnified for the aahw. by now you just. don't really talk about hank. surprisingly, you have a little more of your old memories than the average mag !! congrats. problem is they're all foggy enough that you only really distantly decipher them. lmao. you aren't super high on the ladder but you're a pretty tough mag to beat. you're well known enough that other mags tend to hang around you when there's not much else going on. v2 mags especially think it's fun to mess around with you by jumping on your back or otherwise clinging onto you . idk man u've got like . a little family here .

-at one point or another there's an outing youre on that ends up going wrong. you get split up from the rest of your unit and are forced to hide out in some old abandoned building while you wait for backup. you're a little too injured to try and walk all the way back, a heavy gash on your side preventing you from doing too much in the moment. when you hear heavy steps on concrete you're able to give some sort of noise of relief, turning your head to look over your shoulder at whichever agent in your group had finally found you-

-you're instead met with red goggles and the end of a gun.

-any kind of relief is snatched away, you know damn well who it is by just the bit you can see in the dark alone. even standing in the shade between two windows (one of which you were sitting by, probably how they seen you in the first place- if that's the case though, it's a little weird they hadn't just shot at you through it.) you knew it was him. you're already stumblingly forcing yourself up to as much of your full height as you can manage, taking some kind of defensive position even as one of your hands ghosts over your gash. the throbbing pain of it and the feeling of blood sticking and running down your skin is enough that you can't seem to focus on the fact that he won't stop staring at your face.

-it doesn't take long before your legs seem to fail you, forcing you forward a bit as you kneel in some sort of attempt to keep upright. you're too busy hissing under your breath and screwing your eyes shut in pain as your hand covers your side to notice your company stepping forwards. you're snapped back to attention when there's a hand on your face, fingertips digging into your skin as they yank your head down a little further. you know you should be grabbing him, that you should be digging your claws into his torso and ripping him clean in half, throwing whatevers left aside and leaving. you know thats what you were told to do, what you were told they deserved anyway. yet, you aren't. instead, you're just giving some warning growl as you stare at them. you notice how the end of the gun is pointed away from you, how their touch seems to outline the mark on your face.

-"If you try and hurt me, I'll kill you." That's the only real heads up you get before he's crouching down and shoving your hand out of the way, grabbing something from his pocket to get to work on you. you don't fail to notice how little attention they're paying to you (aside from the focus on your wound, of course), that you could just rush forward and slam them into the ground if you really wanted.

-ok im skippin g ahead bc this is already way too goddamn long for hcs DEJWJCS

-anyway. it's a complicated relationship for a while. the others tend to avoid you a little but he just keeps showing up around you. they keep staring at you and just hanging around in your general area. it's not that much of an irritant if you ignore all the weird emotions and thoughts it keeps bringing to the forefront of your mind, forcing you to once again try and meddle with your memories.

-eventually he just starts walking over to you and sitting down next to you. sometimes he doesn't say anything at all, just sitting there and seeming to wait for one thing another- he never seems to find whatever that is, as he always gets up and leaves without a word at some point or another. then they start talking, its just little things at first, point-blank statements you can't say much on. sometimes they're just saying they and the other three will be gone for a bit othertimes it's some half-demand to let them look at the stitches they did on you (semi-related, he's not good at them. the stitches are pretty rough. at one point or another sanford has to redo them properly lmao)

-but then there's one particular night. they do the normal thing, come over, sit down next to you, not say a word. this time though you note how they're facing you. instead of some reminder or a demand for anything, he's pulling his ask down and asking a simple question. 'What do you remember?'

-it's a long conversation. he's talking more than he normally would by a long shot, occasionally stopping whenever his words seem to especially fail him and get stuck in his throat. you don't even really remember moving around, or even him pulling you in any way, you just know you somehow end up laying next to him with your head on his chest.

-whenever the memories do seem to click into place, it's hard. you have a lot of choice words for them yourself, months of being left alone without a word bubbling up with a vengeance, they listen to them. while some mags (such as yourself) do have the ability to speak, the san and dei don't think they've ever heard one with that much emotion in their voice. they've especially never seen a mag just break down like you do, they're both tensing up a little from their far away spot when hank's walking closer to you. instead of you lashing out or swiping at him though, you just sit there while he wraps his arms around you (as best as he can at least, it's a little difficult but he's able to get them around your neck and reach his other hand behind you well enough). you're eventually doing the same to him, though it's more so just your hands resting on their back.

-it takes a good while for proper trust to be rebuilt along with an honest, proper explanation from hank that only you're privy to. eventually though, there's enough trust that you're able to hang around him again without narrowly avoiding an argument or anything. they don't like being super affectionate or 'vulnerable' in front of the other two, so most times they prefer being in your or their room. also they're still touchy lmao, doesn't help that you're mag sized now and so they just want to hold you . its hard to explain, he's never been super affected by others heights and even when he is it's usually a negative thing for him but . for some reason . he just likes being shorter / smaller than you lol ,,,,,,,, hope you like holding them a lot bc that's what you're gonna be doing
