I want to play Euro Truck Somulator 2 so bad but it keeps giving my computer Blue Screen of Death :( Even tho I don't acyually see the blue screen, but even my GPU says it's one, and I don't know how to solve the problem. No other game does this, and it seems to be a overheating problem but I already use a table fan to cool down my PC so I don't know what else should I do.
The next option is to upgrade my PC. But the mainboard is already old enough that there's no point in buying a better CPU when it's only slightly better than my current CPU, which means I should get a new CPU AND a new mainboard if I wanted to have a better system. I also need more RAM for this PC, that alone could solve the problem cos I currently have only 8Gb as that was still "a lot" back in 2016 when I built this PC. But now it's really not enough, but I'm not sure yet if you can mix different RAM sizes with each other, e.g. I have 2x4GB but idk if it's okay to buy e.g. 2x8GB and have 20Gb of RAM that way, or if I just should go for 2 or 4 new ones and have 16GB or 32GB of RAM...
And the next problem is: money. I looked it up and there's an online shop selling bundles of CPU and mainboard and RAM and those were like, 400€ at minimum and while that is not that bad when you can have part-payment... well, it's still plenty of money/month.
But tbh my other games would really benefit from an upgrade. Planet Zoo is awesome but it does get laggy the more traffic I have in the game, and CPU sounds like its dying. I also really need a new chassis cos I got a new GPU a few years ago and it barely fit inside the chassis and I suspect there's problems with the air circulation because of that. The chassis fans also have manual settings for fans, like, actual physical switches and I have already set some of them to High but I don't like that because then they get so loud I start getting headaches from the noise alone.
Maybe I could start with getting a new, bigger chassis with quieter fans and more space for the air circulation. I think I should also buy a bottle of compressed air and go through the insides of the PC with that. I do vacuum the insides every now and then and it's not been that long time since I did that the last time, but then I was out of compressed air because I tend to empty a whole bottle when I get to cleaning my PC with it...

Update!!
I have my own laptop (and have for a while now... I had forgotten about this post tbh)
I got a Lenovo Think pad XDD
Usually not a great laptop but I got it refurbished and upgraded so It has 16GB RAM, Intel core i5 and SSD ^-^
It works great for games (on steam and otherwise) digital art and its even ok ish for streaming. Only problem is the mic is on the left and if you sit slightly too much to the right you won't be heard but a good headphone set mic works great to remedy the problem. Oh and the battery is failing and needs replacing but I've had it for 3 if not 4 years now...
My dad on the other hand got a laptop and he didn't listen to my advice... he got 8GB RAM which is his laptops best quality.... other then the big screen he bought it for. He got a bad Prossesor and a HDD his laptop takes hours to turn on and can bearly handle simple games and only just handles art. But he doesn't need it for much tbh. Still an over glorified paper weight tho.
I have a couple of questions that I'm asking all my tumblr friends. 1. Which computer name brands are the best for gaming, drawing, and multi-purpose on the internet? 2. Which are the type that everyone uses? desktops or laptops?
I'm not a computer gamer (infact I don't have my own computer, we only have my sisters laptop in the house) so I have no hands on experience but I've done a load of research into gaming and art computers cuz I would love one! And I also took ICT computers as a subject in school and this was part of the work.
My research has told me that desktop is better then laptop for things like gaming but both can be good depending on how good of a computer you can get.
When buying a computer you need to check it's well lets say stats, this would be how much is it's storage space, it's RAM, it's processor and so on.
I would recommend SSD (solid state drive) for your memory storage rather then the HDD (Hard disk drive) SSD has faster loading time and is more durable but is more expensive. Where HDD has more storage and is cheaper but is slower, can over heat more easily and is more fragile with many moving parts it's easier to break. You also want about at least 500GB - 1TB of storage, more if you want to store a lot of games, art and pictures, though anything higher then 1TB can be excessive and unnecessary expense but I mean if you have the money for it go ahead.
What you really need for gaming and digital art is some good RAM (or Randomly Memory Access, the stuff on your computer that lets you run apps and play games,) more RAM means a smoother play and less loading time. Anything under 8GB is pretty much rubbish for gaming you really want something like 12GB or better yet 16GB but you can scrape by with say 8GB as a minimum. Computers come with RAM but it's also something you can buy separately and install yourself to upgrade it if you know how (or watch a YouTube video or 3).
You also need a good processor especially for digital art (your CPU, the brain of your computer) intel core i5, or i7 are whats recommended. i3 isn't the best for gaming it can be great for internet browsing and only just handle entry level gaming.
Basically you ideally want your computer starts to be:
Storage: SSD 1TB (lowest 500GB)
RAM: 16GB (lowest 8GB)
Professor: Intel core i7 (or i5)
The best gaming computers on the market would be:
Alienware Aurora R10.
CyberPowerPC Gamer Extreme VR.
Dell G5 Gaming Desktop 5090
Corsair One i160.
iBuyPower Snowblind.
But those are hella expensive. If you've not got the money for those then looking for a computer with the right stats in your price range is a good idea. A refurbished computer can be good and affordable and building your own computer can be the cheapest way to get exactly what you need in your computer.
#imma go eat then play some sims now UwU#random stuff#keziha rambles#laptops#computers#computer help#advice

i have the Vergil motivation to start doing digital drawing. But its kinda intimidating. I mean I've always done things traditionally and I do know how to make designs on Adobe software but not drawing. I was wondering if you have a software that you prefer or would recommend; or just tips in general.
Hello anon! how are you doing? :D
Thank you for asking, I’m not en expert, but I’ll try to help you as much as possible :D. Also, bear in mind that english is not my mother tongue, so there may be some mistakes (ans I’m also a idiot who types really fast without re-reading xDD).
First of all, I assume that you own a graphic tablet, this tool is essentioal for digital art, as they have pen pressure and helps a lot to create unique effects! The brands I’ve seen people recommending the most latelly are Wacom and Huion. I can only give you my opinion about the first one though, I’ve owned a Wacom Intuos 4 for over 6 years and it has never failed me ♥ not even when I accidentally threw the pen inside my tea xD.
Now, speaking about software, I have tried 3: Paint Tool Sai (1 and 2), Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop. Each one has their pros and cons, and you also have to bear in mind what your computer can handle.
1. Paint Tool Sai:
This is the one that I use and like the most, the interface it’s quite simple and the only thing that may cause you trouble may be the brushes settings, but once you have created you own ones, the only preset you’d probably need to change is density.
This software comes with a pen stabilizer, which is very handy if you do linework, I always set mine to S-3 so it’s easier to get more accurate and less “crispy” lines, you may also notice that the pressure works a bit different, like it’s a bit more sharp.
For colouring I always set my flats with selections and the bucket tools, and then I add layers for shadows ans highlights. I always start with flat shadows and blend them using both the Brush and the Water tool. I may share my brushes presets for Sai 2 if you like. This software also includes a “transparent” color, which is really useful when you need to fix some blended areas or softly remove part of the colour.
I have used bot Paint Tool Sai 1 and Paint Tool Sai 2, I have noticed that in the second version brushes work a bit different, specially when it comes to using the transparent color. But Sai 2 comes with many enhacements which makes it more enjoyable, thing such as:
Elipse Rulers
Linear Rulers
Perspective Rulers (they work wonders even if you know 0 about perspective)
Text
Shapes
Gradients
Better compatibility with Photoshop’s layers
It seems that Sai 2 is going to be on Beta forever, but you can still download (illegally, lol) and use it, It’s my fave one, so I really recommend this one.
If you want to see more about its interface, I highly recommend you to take a look to my youtube channel, I tend to upload there some of my drawings speedpaints, I hope they can help you to understand hot it works.
2. Clip Studio Paint
I haven’t used this one that much, I only made my first V drawing with it, as well as some headshots for practicing.
This also comes with a pen stabilizer, but I noticed it didn’t worked the same way as Sai’s, it took me a while to get a level of hardness that I liked. The good thing is that it comes with a wide variety of pens, and I really recommend G-pen when it comes to making linearts, it has a nice and sharp finishing.
It also comes with poseable 3D models to use as references, I don’t really like to use them as they have anime-ish proportions and such, but some people may find them handy I guess. CSP also has a wide variety of resources such as premade images (grass, dust, floers, manga panels, halftones…) so this one may be a good option if you also plan to create comics and such.
If you are going for the paid version, you also get access to a marketplace in which people uploads their resources, and you may find some interesting ones there for free.
CSP also has rulers and perspective tools as far as I remember, but I haven’t tried the new ones (this software used to be called Manga Studio, and that was the first time I used it xD).
You can see me struggling with it in this video.
3. Photoshop
I think this is the one that everyone knows the most, right? xD. Though the use of Photoshop has been widely spreaded, we have to keep in mind that this software is very heavy to handle for some cumputers, you’ll probably need over 8GB of RAM memory (I have 16 GB and it still crashes some times) to make it run “properly”. I am isung CC 2015, since I don’t have enough space in my HD for CC 2019, and I would probably need an SSD to make it work smoothly.
I find it really difficult to do linework with Photoshop, it doesn’t have a pen stabilizer (unless you pay for the lazy nezumi plug-in), so the pen usualy “slips” more, I don’t really know how to call this, but I don’t like the feeling I get when I do linework with it. On the other hand, I find it really funny to sketch with it, don’t ask me why xD.
When it comes to colouting, you have to find the brushes that appeal to your style the most, and it’s also really easy to make your own, you can also make patterns and such. Bad thing that you have to use the sampler a lot, in the end you have to use 3465654 tools to blend properly in photoshop, when in either Sai or CSP you only need two, and this is depending on your style.
I have seen many people doing wonders with realist style in PS (you may take a look to @i-have-no-name-v‘s works, they are awesome!) though!
Other thing I don’t like about PS is their color wheel…It works totally different to Sai’s or CSP’s, and most of the times I find it hard to pick the tone I really need. You may also need a plug in tho swap your color wheel too.
I like to use Photoshop when it comes to adding effects to a drawing, be it lightin, particles, color corrections, etc. It’s very handy for this, and it’s also a good thing that both Sai and CSP allow you to save in .psd format.
I hope this long post has been helpful to you or to anyone that needs it, as I said, I have no problem in sharing my Sai 2 brushes presets if you want, you can either reply here or send me another ask ;D

my laptop is the absolute worst. it used to run so good and now its all problems all the time. itd be fine if it wasnt like....hey your audio stopped working, also btw theres no ip address and no matter how many times you clear the winsock and cmd prompt your way thru it its not gonna work. so heres to restarting your computer 18 times in a row after running through different troubleshoots and cmd lines and eventually just leaving it alone to read to see if it eventually sorts itself out. gotta do a little song and dance to make sure my busted cord stays at the right angle cause the charger port doesnt sit right anymore (the new cord is floppy and has worse connection than the old sturdy broken cord). ill launch a program and in my task manager its got multiple instances of the program even if only 1 of its open (example: 1 discord program running, 5 different instances of it in the task manager). fucking poorly labeled shit running in the background that all have the property of ‘system’ and im like but why are you running tho??? shouldnt you be in the systems section and not in background processes??? computer running at 40% memory and sometimes 40% disk and the fan being audibly loud when i can have all the same stuff open on a different computer with “worse” specs with no issue (intel 7th gen 16gb ram vs intel 3rd gen 8gb ram). dont get me wrong i love my computer but at the same time im like ??? why do you do the things you do???
#the absolute worst thing its ever done is when i picked it up with audio playing...#it would lag and the audio would turn robotty and i wouldnt be able to get it to respond for minutes to over an hour.#have no clue why it did that but it hasnt done it in forever so im assuming that a patch fixed it or...#my computer guys were able to reconnect a loose cord or replaced somehing that was causing the issue.#this thing is really only good as a monitor for photo editing and art anymore rip.

What's in your bag, Joe?
Just weeb shit.
So I got a confession to make. I love those dumb “What’s in your bag posts” and bags in general. Just love seeing what people carry around and what’s important to their daily lives is pretty neat. So figure, hey why not make my own to say I did. That being said, here’s my bag full of dweeby weeby stuff. (Note: holy crap I didn’t realize how heavy my bag was until I finally emptied it out)
PDP Switch “Elite” Backpack
I know, I know, it’s a system backpack, but dang it looks stylish! I also just love the Switch, and that general aesthetic. It has a slim profile for the most part and doesn’t make me look more dwarfish than I already am. But that slim profile is pretty deceiving, since this thing has so many internal pockets for all your switch or non switch stuff. A lot of the pockets has these velcro straps to keep things like your controllers or docks in place. But since I use those for notebooks and pencils they tended to get in the way so I snipped em out. Also to add to the dweeby aesthetic, I added the blooper and super famicom controller charms that I got from my fiancé and sister respectively. Makes a nice jingle jangle when I walk.
Various Charge cords and Fidget cube
I feel like in this day and age it’s grossly irresponsible to not have at least 4 charge cords. Or maybe I just have way too many devices. I basically have a cord for any device that needs charging. Then there’s my trusty fidget cube. It’s basically this infinity cube from level up dice, it used to be entirely black but thanks to never ending anxiety I have worn down the edges so bad. Still satisfying tho.
Graph paper notebooks, that best pencil, and Dice bag
I hate blank and lined paper, dunno why. Just always loves graph paper the most. So that’s why I have this nifty moleskinne book and a field notes book that my fiancé gave me. These things are basically filled with erratic thoughts, scribbles of ideas, and DND stuff. That’s where the dice bag comes in. I basically have three different sets of dice and a crap ton of life counters and small d6’s. Yanno. Just in case. Then there’s the best pencil known to man. Dunno the brand but that thing has been with me for years and I am fairly certain it has an infinite source of lead because it never seems to run out.
The DeathBoy Pocket
It’s because of this dumb thing I rarely ever drag out my tablet or laptop anywhere anymore. This iPhone 6s has been so damn good to me, and I recently got this cute AF case for it. Pluses? It looks hella cool. Downsides? It’s now super chunky and mostly resides in either my bag or my hoodie pocket now.
Video james stuff
Oh boy, big surprise. Joe likes playing video games a little too much. If you know anything about me you know my favorite type of system is a portable system. That being said, the Switch is hands down the best thing to happen to gaming. I got a pro controller for it for when I can set it on the table, and also for when I bring it over to someone’s place. The SF30 pro controller is actually hella decent and has the nice little flourishes that make it this nostalgic but functional thing. I also got a matching hard case for the Switch so that way it coordinates with the bag and the analogs don’t get too roughed up while traveling. Then there’s my fiancé’s 3DS which I shamelessly stole from him. Its so dang cute and I basically only use it for Animal Crossing (and the occasional Metroid Fusion, because Em is cool like that and had ambassador program games. I keep the spare 3DS games in a tiny Victoria’s secret bag. Then theres this cute little Splatoon pouch I got which I keep a spare pair of headphones in. Lastly, I have this cute little 8GB flashdrive that I got from some School tour. Very handy and useful, and where I keep most of my secrets.
Odds and ends
So I also keep a multi tool and an umbrella in this thing because gosh dang I love being prepared. But overall, thats Joe’s weeb sack. Now that I’ve made this maybe I can find peace. Or maybe more realistically just stare at more pics of bags.
