Hi again! Do you think that if Aegon and Balerion had died in Dorne instead of Rhaenys and Meraxes, his sisters and young Aenys would've been able to secure a Targaryen succession in the (then) Six Kingdoms? Or without the Conqueror himself acting as the figurehead and leader of the new dynasty, it would've crumbled and the kingdoms would try to be independent again?

I think it would have been a very difficult situation - perhaps not completely impossible, but very difficult for the Targaryen dynasty. It was not just the fact that Aegon the Conqueror had IOTL ruled for the better part of four decades after he (and his sisters) finished the actual battles of the Conquest, but also the fact that Aegon spent many of those years solidifying the new governmental system he had introduced with that Conquest. By constantly going on progresses throughout the realm, Aegon was visibly demonstrating his position as supreme Lord of the (not quite yet actualized) Seven Kingdoms, underlining the feudal structure he had created between the Targaryens and the native vassal lords. By holding court across the country and gathering advice on local laws and customs, Aegon was establishing the Targaryen government as one both different from the pre-Conquest structure and amenable to the daily operation of that structure. 

In sum, Aegon put in nearly 40 years of work to make the Targaryen domain in Westeros a practical reality and not just a political theory. While that work certainly did not prevent rebellions against the Targaryen dynasty after his death IOTL, a scenario in which Aenys came to the throne as a three-year-old boy would obviously have not have that same history of personal investment on the part of the monarch. Rather, it might have been far easier for even more rebels to argue, as various rebels did IOTL, that “[t]he chains the Dragon forged can yet be broken … [w]e can win our freedoms back”, precisely because the Targaryens would have had so much less time and opportunity to make themselves known as the indisputable leaders of Westeros. Anyone discontented with the Iron Throne - those "[s]ons ... [who] dreamed of avenging long-dead fathers", those "[k]nights [who] remembered the days when a man with a sword and a horse and a suit of armor could slash his way to riches and glory", those "[l]ords [who] recalled a time when they did not need a king’s leave to tax their smallfolk or kill their enemies" - would instead needed to have exerted very little effort to imagine a world without Targaryen oversight or domination, to turn back the clock a mere 10 years.

Nor can we ignore Aenys as the would-be successor at this moment. Regencies as a general rule are far from easy or stable forms of government, no less so when the child-king in question would have been all of three years old. As much as Aegon’s sister-wives might have IOTL sat the Iron Throne and ruled to some extent almost as co-monarchs, I don’t think they would have been able to escape a struggle over control of or influence over Aenys’ regency from those aristocrats who, while perhaps supportive of the principle of Targaryen rule, may not have believed in widowed women, even Aegon’s widows, solely controlling the government of the new toddler king. Moreover, Aenys would have had at least 13 years of being ruled by adults - a very long time for any one aristocratic faction to keep control of the government, and consequently highly likely a period of multiple regime changes. This chaos might only have been compounded by Aenys, if he shared the weak and indecisive personality of the Aenys of OTL; how could a completely new government barely a decade into its existence cope with an ongoing major war and the stability of the rest of its realm when its ostensible head of state would never be the skilled warrior-king his father had been? Would the realm have been willing to defend a sickly toddler, with little in the way of early dragonrider ability, the only heir this dynasty had? 

(All of this reminds me of the regency of Henry VI of England, a figure I often compare to Baelor but who fits for these purposes here - the (almost) infant king who comes to the throne after the death in battle of his conquering royal father and in the midst of a substantial foreign war. Likewise, just as Henry VI grew up as a peaceful and pious but not particularly capable adult monarch, so Aenys IOTL would grow up to be an amiable but ineffective king. Just as that regency was a time of instability and struggles for power in the English (and technically French) governments, so I could imagine Aenys’ regency in such a scenario would have been a similarly very trying time.)

Now, could Rhaenys and Visenya have tried to rally the vassals of the Iron Throne to continue to support the Targaryen monarchy? Possibly. Both were clearly intelligent, strong, and confident queens and dragonriders (though whether they would have been equally driven to keep Aenys on the Iron Throne is less clear, given that Visenya was not his mother but also did not have a son of her own to back). Would they have encouraged a war of vengeance against Dorne (with perhaps plenty of xenophobic, jingoistic propaganda to back the point) as a means of uniting the realm (again, save Dorne itself) in the wake of Aegon's death, and if so, would the major vassals of the Iron Throne have responded to such encouragement? Who knows what sort of rebellions they might have faced, how they would have responded, and what policies they might have instituted to maintain the Iron Throne?

I have since worked with tutors who taught me poetry and yeah, you do get heart eyes at them, poetry and being heard just does that to you. it's anti-authoritarian of course, it's professor-chic. it's low on the hairiness scale though. of course, it is also very very sad. he's dressed like me 20 years from now.

good will hunting: we love a dramatic turn, I wanted to say, but he did a lot of dramatic turns actually. this one might be the most straightforward dramatic that I've watched though. he's got a beard! he's helping out a kid without a lot of opportunities. he's challenging toxic masculinity. we love a sexy bearded man who's making the world a better place, breaking the cycle

Convention haul! There wasn't barely any BG3 merch and the only thing I was interested in was gone before I found the artist's table. Still, my poor wallet...

First is the last volume of a very cute fanzine I've been reading for years, two Ace Attorney prints and a DS charm with the least heterosexual lawyers ever, all by the Wonderpun folks, Paula and Diego, who I barely see once a year for five minutes but are really lovely and funny people. They are exquisite pun artists and regale us with fanzines solely dedicated to them, not to mention the constant stream Diego posts on Twitter. They also make assorted merch for Pokémon, Ace Attorney, Yakuza, Resident Evil... There's a ton, check them out yourselves. Here's their online shop. All the JJK stuff is from an artist that didn't include any kind of business card and now I can't send you to his social media. OTL The print and Geto charm are for a friend.

As if this were exonerating at all, I feel I should stress that the fanzine and all its extras were already paid for because I joined the crowdfunding campaign this summer.

I also picked up a cheap set of dice and Fire Emblem cipher cards because you know, it's been a long time since I spent any real money at a convention. Prices are inflated, you can buy everything off the internet nowadays, and I had left the Artist Alley pretty unscathed, so I knew I wasn't going to spend much more.

Then I found a retro videogames stand with Japanese imports. They had Vita games. Japanese otome Vita games.

THEY HAD THE ONE HAKOUKI GAME I'VE WANTED TO GET FOR 10 YEARS WHAT THE HELL

They also had Amnesia World for the same price and I thought about going back for it if I didn't spend a lot the following three days.

One shop had a bunch of YYH figures, including two I'd never seen of Hiei and Kurama that put together replicate the cover page of the Two Shots chapter, and sent a video to a friend who's a huge Hiei fan but couldn't make it to the con to ask if I should get it for her. She took three days to make a decision. More on this later.

After this, we found a place that sold vintage haori and I kind of fell in love at first sight with one. The sign said they were 30€ and up, but I have a vintage silk haori with some damage on the sleeves and that one was already 50€. I'd never seen one in good condition for less than 60€. Knowing that the price would be way out my budget, I asked anyway.

It was just 30€.

And remember the lady who ran out of her stand to do my hair? This below was the result. 10/10 marketing tactic.

At this point I'm repeating over and over inside my head "This is fine" like the dog from the meme. I'm getting extra pay this month, no harm done, it's not like I spend money the rest of the year. This is it, I've already seen the entire venue, I'm immune to temptation, I'm probably not getting that second game. <-this is not foreshadowing

Before calling it a day, I asked my friends to try and find again the retro games shop to remember exactly where it was in case I wanted to go back, because the next days were going to be much busier and it's always difficult to move with so many people.

Turns out on the way there there was another import shop I had glossed over because it sold mostly trading cards and CDs, but I went to look at the table anyway because haha what's the harm you already know where this is going. (⊙x⊙;)

The harm was basically half the recent group discography of Quartet Night. ಥ_ಥ They were pretty cheap, but I painted over the price because I'm still embarrassed and pissed, why the hell did I have to look. I am now the not so proud owner of the Quartet Night single where they dressed the idols as bullfighters without shirts and I can't even be angry about it because the song was good. Look at this. The second hand embarrassment is killing me. Anyway! Not getting the game for sure.

The next two days passed without any further damages to my wallet, which were admittedly quickly forgotten as soon as I got tackled by the girl I totally don't have a crush on when she saw me dressed as Hancock and whose dinner I paid for only because she treated us to a lot of places when we visited her city this summer. That night, before the last day, I had to insist to my home-bound friend to make up her mind already because I couldn't be glued to the phone while wearing cosplay, pushing a wheelchair and socializing with people I only see twice a year.

I'd decided the first day I'd get the Kurama figure only if she told me to get her a Hiei as well. She sent me a text past 12 AM saying she wanted it. In the morning I receive a message from the friends I was arriving to the venue with every day saying that after three days they cannot fucking move and are tapped out. I cannot fucking move either because Hancock's shoes destroyed my feet, but I go anyway, as soon as I can, because I'm a woman on a mission to retrieve a friend's husbando.

I went straight to the shop before joining up with anybody else and the Hiei figure was gone from the display case, along with another Hiei, the only Kuwabara and one Kurama. Mission failed. I asked one of the sellers about the Kurama one and she told me all except the one on display were sold out, so there was no box, and it was for the best because I was able to store him inside my bag. Here he is. I'm jealous of his sweater.

After that, I joined my totally-not-a-crush for the rest of the morning and went to a panel where they gave us a bit of sake and Kobe beef while we waited for our other friends. The rest of the day went well, we saw a lot of people and said goodbye to everyone, and instead of going to the Korean BBQ place we had planned, the remaining four of us moved the dinner to the sandwich/pizza/crepe place across the street from our incapacitated friends.

I am now taking a vow of poverty until April.

What does love mean to them?

Solidity and warmth, someone to lean on. Safety....even if she (past an, ahem, certain mountain-esque point) doesn't always get that feeling from him, she still loves him. It's all of it to her; gentle, fiery, enduring, painful, sweet and bitter and just...everything.

Basically, even if he's hurt and betrayed her, this fucked up little man is still her everything and while she isn't going to take his bullshit laying down she still cares deeply enough about him to try and wrangle him and understand what is wrong. Like, god, I bet at times out of nowhere during that 10 year gap they're apart she wonders if he ate that day.

✨️ Volo:

 For Volo... Love would be for someone to accept him as he is, not what he appears to be, but to acknowledge his flaws and mistakes, his scars, and still find something worth value. He's a very guarded person and for someone to be able to break away the facade he's built upon for his entire life; that is love. 

It's simple and a bit self indulgent on his part, but that's what we enjoy about him

Hmm… hers is probably gifts to a lesser extent than Volo. Even if she can't remember her past where her situation was similar, she is living where her means are not Great so to give something without it being an exchange is a big deal. No one gave you shit for free in water country so to her it's another little show of undiluted affection. i.e. candies and homemade preserves she gives him and the gold nugget she reverse mugs him with. Also, words of affirmation are a close second.

✨️ Volo: 

Volo's love language is gifts naturally. Further adds to the folklore/yokai vibes he's got now too in addition to his occupation, it's just too good not to be his exact love language. Another one though is definitely teasing, friendly jabs here and there for the people close enough to him to know he only jokes. Sometimes.

Favorite places/ways to be touched?

🌸 Euphorbia: Touch is a bit weird for Euph, since you've definitely got to be on the tier of friend or higher for her to willingly allow it. Though if she is in the village and someone taps her shoulder to get her attention or something she isn't going to lash out, since she is trying to play nice to avoid being tossed to the wilds with amnesia in an unfamiliar land.

As far as more intimate touch. We kind of touched on (heh) preferred places and ways to be touched with a kink meme. (Not posted but maybe… someday? It's not visually explicit, just a checklist.) But I imagine anyone else but Volo making her aware of how small she is would be met with grrrhisss, but definitely is not opposed to feeling his entire hand wrap around a wrist or shoulder or whatnot. Very much a case of "I am showing you my neck because I feel secure, please don't break it"

✨️ Volo: 

Volo is touch starved. And while there are spots that he is self conscious about, namely scars, this dude will absolutely melt at the slightest touch truthfully. He’s really big on… Hand holding. In both normal and sexual settings, He wants to twine his fingers together to show that he’s still there and that he loves her, always. Also pretty into his chest being played with and ass grabs oop— 

He’s got a nice ass and he knows it. 

He also loooves his hair being touched, his hair being a bit of a symbol to his progress in life. Once super long and flowy (longer than even current Volo’s), it was once cut down to about ear length against his own will. So it being as long as it is once more, this man feels a lot of emotion about it. 

One big thing to note; He does not like the touch of strangers in any regard. Especially after certain points in his life, he really does not care for random people even brushing shoulders with him accidentally. It makes him nervous, and nervousness leads into his anger which… Don’t touch this man without permission, he may recoil, and if you’re lucky he’ll only grumble about it. Especially his hands if he doesn’t know you. With how self conscious he is about his claws…

As for what would make her break a moral code... your standard desperation, that can make anyone act unwise. That desperation can definitely range in flavor though, instinctual or meditated on.

Euph is pretty stubborn as a previous kiri nin from ye old days where the village was basically self-cannibalizing itself politically and maybe even literally. So having resolve and the will to keep moving forward even if you have to become monstrous to do so is far from an unknown concept. But...she also has come to value softer and sweeter things. So it's a bit complicated.

Volo is… We all know Volo. He's a bit of an enigma in that of himself. His moral code, mind you his moral code, is quite different from the black and white common views of the world. Most nothing to him is inherently good or evil, everything is chaos, nothing and everything matters all at once. As such, his code of conduct varies vastly from situation to situation, there's obviously the favorable things to do, the more socially acceptable things, but seeing himself as an outlier to the status quo, he's more flexible to make choices that more typical people would… Probably not do?? The key point in understanding his mindset is that he doesn't value life the way most do. 

That being said, breaking his own code would be not only incredibly difficult, but also quite the event. The most likely causes for him to act out of his typical would be one of two things; Wrath, or Envy. Seeing as he is a cocky and confident bastard, it isn't too terribly often that he loses his temper truly. But when he does, boy does he. Easily comparable to a raging fire, once he's mad mad, it's hard to get him to calm down and will act out of instinct. 

Jealousy, on the other hand, makes the man act unwise. Often does jealousy lead to his more… Questionable choices, leaning on the dumb side. Often these choices go against his instinct.

“hauntkeye” and “sailing accident” cause hauntkeye I feel like is the ghost AU you’ve mentioned and sailing accident is a very intriguing title (this is Queen i can’t send asks from my side blog otl)

yes hahahahaha hauntkeye is the ghost AU! it actually has a title now but I'm not allowed to mention it in public until I have more of the draft done and also the document will be called hauntkeye forever that's just how it goes!!!!

I have discussed this a Lot but this fic is basically an AU where Hawkeye is badly injured during Where There's a Will, There's a War and is brought back to the 4077th where everyone tries their best but he dies anyway. He then becomes a ghost who basically functions like Weston in Follies of the Living--Concerns of the dead. The story is about everyone's grief as well as Hawkeye dealing with being a ghost who can't be seen or heard and has to watch his friends grieve for him.

It's an AU, not strictly canon divergence, so I moved some events around in the timeline. Several plot points are based on episodes, some of which came from season 8 (despite Where There's a Will being season 10) and there are also original plot points. I have a detailed outline; it's thirteen chapters (and an epilogue) but writing it has been... challenging. I don't have a lot I can share from this one yet, but here's something from the first chapter:

The countryside, Hawkeye had noticed, always looked more scenic on the way back from battalion aid. Even in the dark, maybe especially in the dark; the wounds stood out less in the moonlight. Korea might be a beautiful country, he thought, if all the armies stopped blowing it to pieces. It was a shame to think he wouldn’t be here to see it, but once he left this place he doubted he’d ever have the stomach to come back.

This comes a little later later, but along the same road:

They picked him up again and got him into the back of the jeep. Hawkeye hopped up with him. He looked at the medic again. In this light, he looked even younger.  “Are you old enough to drive this thing?” Hawkeye asked.  “I’m eighteen, sir.”  Hawkeye nodded.  “Good enough. Don’t go until I say, alright?”  “Where are we taking him?” Hawkeye thought of the 4077th, with its four standing walls and his own army cot waiting for him when he was finished. He looked at the kid in front of him. He wouldn’t make it back to the 4077th, not if they didn’t stop the bleeding first.  “Aid station. It’s just up the road behind us.” 

Hawkeye leaves battalion aid like he does in the episode, but on the way home he runs into a medic with a wounded soldier who got separated from their unit, and takes them back to battalion aid, which is how he ends up being wounded.

And here's BJ with a bit of dramatic irony in the O.R.:

The sutures would get him through this shift, but he wouldn’t be satisfied until he saw Hawkeye in the flesh. He missed his voice in the O.R., his stupid jokes that helped BJ keep his head. It wasn’t the first time one of them had gone to the front, but sometimes in a war things that were bearable one day weren’t the next. This time, when Hawkeye got back, he’d hug him until he was sure both of them were real. 

It's not exactly a spoiler that things don't work out so well, since the premise is Hawkeye ends up as a ghost...

sailing accident is my beloved... it was supposed to be finished months ago but life got in the way. I'm a little cagey about this one but it's a Hawkeye character study of sorts, featuring a story from his childhood and a story in Korea.

The hands rolled him onto his back. The hill was jagged; he was cushioned only by rocks. He coughed, expelling the dirt from his lungs. He opened his eyes and found himself staring into the sky.  It wasn’t how he remembered it.  It was calm and blue and peaceful, which was strange, because a moment ago it had been cloudy and almost yellow as the artillery blasted parts of the hill into clouds of rising dust. His fall had put some distance between him and the heat of the battle, but he could still hear it raging around him.  The sky blinked, and he remembered that the kid had blue eyes. 

and

There was a rustling somewhere to his left. They were far enough in, now, that there wasn’t any wind, so something else must have been shaking the branches of the large maple tree. The rustling ended in a soft thud. Then came footsteps, fast and light and growing closer. Blood dripped into his eye again. This time, he remembered to wipe it with his left hand. His fingers felt cold on his skin, and his face felt cold under his own touch, except for the blood.  By the time he’d cleared his field of vision, the footsteps had stopped. A pair of blue eyes peered at him. They weren’t dark like the ocean, but light blue. Like the sky, something he’d thought he might never see again.  “What happened?”  The eyes belonged to a slight, dark-haired boy, who could scarcely have been older than ten, but he spoke with an authority at odds with his smooth, childlike face.  “His sailboat tipped over,” the man holding him answered. “He got tossed around the waves pretty good.”

Late night thoughts:

Looking at my sketchbooks (or more like, the ones I barely have used), I got the silly idea of maybe dividing/cutting one in half, just because of its format and me being uncomfy in working in bigger formats.

It's a sketchbook I used in one of my drawing classes back in college, and I thought... I THOUGHT at the time I may be able to work on it eventually, but... it's been over 10 years since and... it's one of those expensive "professional" sketchbooks that, since they are imported, they tend to cost a lot (still, today) :)...

Ah... if only it was a more "professional" sized notebook, I would have biten it and worked on it so, so much more these days.

I know it's a ridiculous idea, as well, cutting it in half, and making them two notebooks of a size I'm more comfortable to work with :T, but I'm also too picky (and stingy) on the way I want to get a similar sketchbook...

"Accordion VST" ★☆☆☆☆ self explanatory. got it around 1 or 2 years after i started making music for lofi songs. i couldnt get it to sound like i wanted n blend in well with the other instruments so i only used it a couple times. im thinking of trying it again messing around with filters since at the time of use i didnt know how to do that

"Revitar" ★★★★★ acoustic guitar plugin, sounds very folk. absolutely adore and also the very first plugin i got. since my version of flstudio didnt have any acoustic guitar plugins. can be tuned to sound like a shamisen <3 revitar loads poorly in my experience (just doesnt open on boot/loading it) but i always manage to get it to work eventually and its so good i forgive it.

"DSK Dynamic Guitars" ★★★☆☆ classical guitar plugin. got it i think like 5 years ago bc i wanted a guitar plugin that wasnt revitar. not perfect but does the job.

"DSK Overture" ★★★★★ iirc second plugin i got after revitar. it's a plugin for orchestra type instruments. i think i got it bc i wanted a violin. this plugin is amazing as it does many many instruments n i do use most of them. also some "instruments" are actually combo presets. you can set 4 of instruments to play at once (including the combos) which is ideal to mix them and get interesting sounds. absolute fave.

"EasternONE" ★☆☆☆☆ another versatile plugin i got early on when i started music. it does several instruments (though not as many as DSK Overture) among which: aud, accordion, santur, kaman, etc. kinda like accordion vst i used it a few times but not that much. also have a hard time blending the sounds with other instruments in a satisfying way. it does sound way more real and less digital then other plugins.

"NES VST" ★★★★☆ plugin for retro nintendo shape sounds: square, triangle, noise. perfect for that electronic sound and easily tunable <3 loses a star bc requires some work to fit effectively with other instruments.

"Mini Erhu" ★★★★★ self explanatory: erhu plugin. has several presets to instantly get different ways for it to sound. mixes very well with other instruments. absolutely perfect i love it so much. its just a sound i love. makes my music sound so weird since i mash it with other instruments in like electronical music etc and yea! idk how to make normal music! anyway its only dramatic downside is that the range is abysmal. otherwise so good.

-native instruments- (came with my FLstudio 12 version fruity edition - bc im fruity and its the shit tier of the paying versions.)

"Boobass" ★★★★☆ very classical bass that fits most modern sounding songs. a lil bland for my taste but perfect for not emphasizing bassline too much

"FLKeys" ★★★★★ // ★★★★☆ piano synth plugin. used to be perfect but in my version it broke so i can only use the shittier presets and i have to tune it every single time i use it. does not save presets. does not let me use my fave setting which was the grandpiano one </3 never got to work normally again.

EDIT: I also forgot FLSlayer OTL here it is

"FLSlayer" ★★★★☆ electric guitar plugin for rock or metal. very versatile for bass, rhythm guitar or solo guitar sound. it comes with a bunch of different "amps" also. just pretty good. dramatical downside is that it takes forever to tune to get the exact sound you want and mix it with other instruments.

-native filters-

"Fruity limiter" ★★★★☆ it's a limiter. always on by default and i never thought to turn it off. have no opinion on it.

"Fruity Reeverb 2" ★★★☆☆ a reverb plugin, fun to play around with to make the song sounds like its in a big orchestral room or something. i cannot be trusted to use it responsibly so ive stopped using it altogether lately.

"EQUO" ★★★★☆ another limiter, very versatile to give interesting shapes to sounds. i use it to get kind of a retro, desaturated sound. very much love.

there. hopefully this gives some insight about how i fully use FLStudio to almost 1% of its capacity. good nite.

also i did not elaborate on drumlines plugins thats bc i broadly dont care about drumline so much so i have way less of an opinion on them. i use most of the native plugins + DSK Overture for the drumline

love everything you said cause I feel pretty much the same. the show is so good at balancing the comedy and the drama, its crazy.

Yul was definitely the mvp of the episode, despite the steamy closet scene the leads shared. he is just too adorable/

as for mr. Lee, yes, you (and I too) could fix him. I'm still convinced that whatever happened in the past was just a misunderstanding, and that no one is evil, and I cant wait till the truth reveals.

(0:15) Can you share with us what your requirements of yourself are in your musical career?

Zhou Shen: um uh (*Interviewer laughs*) ….sing well (*laughs*) (*high-pitched thoughtful noise*) Thats always been my requirement of myself—to put everything I have into every song. no matter what kind of performance it is. This way, I don’t feel guilty towards those who have gone through the trouble to come listen to me.

(7:50) Many people have different opinions on your style of music; with what kind of attitude do you face them with?

Because I’m a relatively indecisive or, hmm, sensitive person—is this praising myself? *laughs*—so seeing not-so-good comments, of course I would feel upset. I… I would think, why do people have to say this about me? But after the first 2, 3 years after my debut, I was able to look at this with more peace of mind, because no matter what you do, people will have conflicting opinions [about you]. If you always keep putting your energy into the negative comments, you’ll be drained very fast. But when your energy is depleted, you can’t do what you want to do well. 

So I think we shouldn’t put our focus on the negative side, but we need to look at the bright side—more or less shift your attention. And you keep telling yourself, widen out your heart, widen out your heart. Though it’s still upsetting to hear negative comments *laughs* So… try your best. And when you are down in spirits, it’s good to have an outlet. Because when I’m not happy or whatever, I like to sing. Finding something that can serve as a release is, I think, really important.

(9:10) After seeing your past interviews, many people call you “a 相声 (chinese comedy skit) actor mistaken for a singer” or “world-class jokester”; not only that, but everyone extremely likes this side of you. What are your thoughts on this?

First of all, I think everyone is overestimating me way too much (*laughs*) I’m really not—I’m just, 话多嘴碎 (lit. “many words, broken mouth”, someone who talks too much). And it’s actually more of just how I interact with the people I’m familiar with, close friends. I’m happy to be able to be like this more on stage. 

Of course there’s a lot of people who don’t like it, but what makes me happier is, I didn’t imagine that everyone, eh? They mostly don’t seem to hate me. (*laughs*) It’s a pretty big bit of encouragement to me too. It’s… it’s nice. Because I don’t have to be as nervous or restrained when I’m in front of the camera or on stage. I’ve always thought that, as long as I’m being genuine, I’m good. But I still get very nervous every time I sing (*makes a face*)

(10:15) Can you share with us any thoughts or insights you’ve had during the pandemic?

I’ve always said before that being a doctor is extremely hard, especially right now—there’s a lot of pressure and strain on them, on their heart as well as their body. Sometimes we think to ourselves, is anything can do to help, to take off a bit of the burden? But one of the best ways to relieve some of their burden is really to do things properly. They’re working extremely hard on the frontlines, and even just some small changes to our habits—when you go out please always properly wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and dispose of masks properly (*motions proper doffing of mask*). 

These little details, doing them properly, in addition to—as much as it’s possible—not going out. By doing this, you not only protect your own health but you help relieve some of their burden—the less sick people there are, the more they can... be a little more relaxed. Although in these circumstances right now... I hope that day comes soon when they can be a little more relaxed. Doing these little things properly... it can- I believe it can help them.
