You know what im going to say it, I think the funniest thing about the rose quartz is pink diamond theory for Steven universe was that it was a theory back in season 1 and 2 when all everyone had to go off of was little details in the backgrounds which not only was great foreshadowing but also really fucking funny to watch it fall out of favor due to seeing the actual diamonds and then circling back around to it being correct. Like those showrunners knew what they were doing man how badly do you think they were sweating in the writing room when people thought rose quartz was pink diamond because sworn to the sword had like one (1) tiny small cracked diamond floating in the air in a shot that lasted that half a second and she just so happened to be the only pink gem people knew of at the time?
#steven universe#its one of my favorite shows of all time and tbh i think this particular aspect is the funniest part of the fandom at the time#just the realization that all those text posts theorizing based off of stuff gleaned from highly detailed backgrounds were right in the end#how vindicated were those people#i have to know

hi. here are my top 5 favorite comic moments ever (sort of in order, they can all be switched around sometimes depending on my mood)
"the son has not surpassed the father" (batman #645)
i cant even put into words what i like about this scene because everything about it makes me insane. its just so beautifully written and fits so well thematically and shows so much about how bruce is feeling without explicitly saying anything. so fucking good
2. "maybe he did. but my little girl is still dead." (batgirl #19)
fucking. fuck. again this moment just shows so much about how cass feels without saying it explicitly. theres a flashback to the man she murdered right after this because she sees herself in the murderer and doesnt believe she can be redeemed. itsfuck ignf. yeah. maybe he changed but she's still dead
3. "i owe you no explanations. i took the only compassionate option." (titans #12)
hoooooooly shit. i get chills every time i think about this im serious. adeline was suffering and about to die and kory killed her. kory saw herself in the suffering of someone else and KILLED HER. hard as fuck. i will refrain from going on a whole tangent about this but i feel like writers sometimes have the Good Guys kill someone and it doesnt really feel right, but this does it so well because it makes sense within the story AND for kory's character. she was right
4. "the last two bullets are for us" (green arrow #32)
this was so fucked up. can i call this a power couple moment. dinah has so much fucking kidnapping & torture trauma then she finds ollie after he was kidnapped & tortured and she goes dw babe we're gonna kill ourselves later. HELLO. i need to chew on them
5. "for all the times i will never forget. for all the things i can never forgive" (gotham city sirens #21)
everyone drop what youre doing and read gotham city sirens #20-21 right now. or read til the end of the book. gcs is mostly just an okay book but it fucking nails the ending. but this moment in particular makes me lose my mind because harley shows exactly how competent she is and gets into joker's cell in arkham with a gun when she thinks about how he hurt her. then the second she sees him she joins him again. its the ideal pre-breakup harley writing to me and this issue (this entire arc tbh) changed me
in conclusion i love my picture books 💞💞 i think more people should post their fav comic moments too because i wanna see everyone else's plsssss
also im putting honorable mentions under the cut:
"its not them" (blackest night: titans #3)
"i still dream of krypton" (supergirl woman of tomorrow #8)
"to the microscopic beings alive on his skin, this child is the entire universe" (poison ivy #6) (basically this entire issue is my favorite but i had to choose one page)
#i mentioned that the coffin scene was my fav last night then i kept thinking about what my other favs would be. and now here we are#they should invent a way to turn comic panels into drugs so i can smoke these#pass the no one dies tonight blunt#i think everyone should post their top 5 and tag me bc i really wanna knowwwwww#dc#im sorry for saying 'comic moments' then only using dc books 😔#i fear it'd be too niche if i started yapping about my favorite bitch planet moment

for the baby genderfluid tips!!
this could just be me lmao, but DO NOT donate your fem clothes if you feel masc for longer than usual. or vice versa.
keeping a gender journal is something that can be really helpful to actually look back on and see how it changes (and also have proof of fluidity for when you begin to think "hmm actually im just a trans girl. nothing else." no, you probably aren't. you felt completely boy/nonbinary/etc just a month ago, and thats okay.)
basically it can be really hard to embrace that your gender is not static, especially if your gender stays stable for a slightly longer period. it took me so long to stop rotating between "im a girl always" "no, im a boy always" "actually, im nonbinary always" to just admit im genderfluid.
also, make genderfluid content. you don't have to show it to anyone, but sometimes it can really help to make poetry or art or write a story about being fluid and your experience in particular. i have an easy avenue for this since i write fanfiction (haven't published any of it yet lmao) and i just hit my favorite characters with my genderfluid beam and go nuts
follow people who are genderfluid, read genderfluid books, maybe join a genderfluid discord server (there are barely any, so actually maybe make one), try to make genderfluid friends. you are not alone, even though it sometimes feels that way.
if you have plushies or anything similar, make them genderfluid. i have a genderfluid squishmallow who i use she/they pronouns for, and a little husky that switches between he/she. idk it just helps sometimes lol
some of us change gender daily, or multiple times a day. some of us change gender only a couple times a year, or even less. we're all different and that's fine.
tips for presentation:
if you have a day when you can't figure out gender, go neutral clothing-wise
take little things to ease dysphoria if you switch when you're out somewhere (ex. lipgloss, eyeliner, leather bracelet, etc)
if you can, get pronoun pins. seriously, get pronoun pins (or a colored bracelet for subtlety or if you're not out). you can wear multiple at a time, you can switch them whenever you need to. you aren't a burden if your pronouns change. you don't have to stick to they/them to be easy for people.
if you can, get a versatile hairstyle that you can make suit your gender no matter what. if you cant, try to get a hairstyle that makes you the least dysphoric overall.
if you are organized enough, separate your clothes based on gender/what you feel comfy wearing on different days. do not pressure yourself to fit stereotypes. some people can only feel comfortable in skirts when theyre boys, so they only wear skirts on boy days. do what works for you.
it's kinda complicated, but if you can expand your vocal range to sound more fem or masc depending on how you feel, it can help. alternatively, vocal train to make it more androgynous.
keep makeup wipes with you in case you need to take it off part way through being out. basically, make it as easy as possible to be able to change/tweak your presentation if necessary.
this could just be me, but having lots of hoodies in different colors and styles will save your life
sometimes you might have "blender days", which is what i call it when your gender feels like its in a blender in a bad way and you can't tell at all what it is, everything feels wrong, it's changing like every 10 minutes, etc. tbh on these days all i can do is put on sweats and a hoodie and feel dysphoric. listen to music if it helps. do a hobby.
non-clothing items can help a lot. a blue tshirt and jeans can be whatever you want it to be based on what you wear it with. (ex. sneakers/ballet flats, leather bracelet/sparkly necklace, baseball cap/eyeliner)
and lastly: YOU ARE AMAZING. keep being you, keep being incredible, and know that being genderfluid is a gift. be proud to be who you are, have fun, know that you are unique and special and wonderful!! we're ever-changing, and that's awesome. you are precious. i love you.
🩷🤍💜🖤💙

I think a lot of young queers folks (like me. Not trying to be all elderly about this I'm literally a gen z) today need to watch the good oldies about our community.
⚠️: I don't mean, in any way shape or form to insult the newer queer shows/movies. I love SPOP. I love TOH. I read and loved Heart stopper. However, because of the restraint of mainstream media, they have a very... palatable?? way to portray the community. I am NOT blaming the creators (who I'm sure would love to go a bit further down on their portrayals if given the option)
SO! I have nice recommendations that I, personally, enjoy a lot. They're in no particular order.
A classic, for starters. But I'm a cheerleader!: Very campy, barbie-y, funny and free on YouTube. A cheerleader is sent to a conversation camp when her social circle realizes that she might be into girls. (It has a very unrealistic portrayal of conversation camps, though. Very cartoony) my comfort movie fr fr
Priscilla, queen of the desert: A trio of drag queens travel across the desert on a big, old bus. They fight, there's some falling in love. They talk a lot about gender identity, queer childhoods and similar topics. I've only been able to find this one (and most of the ones on this list, since I don't have any streaming devices) on illegal websites. There's very, very direct homophobia, SA, physical abuse, child neglect, yk, the American dream. The queens are the funnier thing ever, the romance plotlines are absolutely delightful and well-rounded. Focuses a bit more on the community itself and interpersonal relationships. All around, a solid 10/10.
Kinky boots: A very prude, engaged man inherits a shoe fabric. He's running out of ideas to stay in business, until he meets a drag queen. Same warnings (and themes!) as the last one. This one has a stronger focus on how the characters become more accepting and how our queen navigates being faced with them. I've rewatched it like a hundred times.
The birdcage (2000's) or le cauge aux folles (1970'): A gay couple runs a drag club. Their son brings home a conservative girlfriend and her family. This is more comedy lenient, but funny as fuck nonetheless.
Paris is burning: this one is a documentary, btw. Focuses on the life of drag queens in the 80's. Nothing I didn't already say on Priscilla tbh.
Saving face: A chinese-american girl that lives in a VERY conservatory and secluded community is trying (and failing) not to fall in love with a ballerina. At the same time, her mother (a widow, how scandalous!) gets mysteriously pregnant and gets kicked out of their family home. This one will hit close to home if you're from any ethnic, homophobic household. Cried a lot. Then cried some more. Happy ending, though!
D.E.B.S: THIS IS THE FUNNIEST, CUTEST MOVIE EVER. It's a full on romance comedy for when the mind is a bit too tired! The main plot is that, in a school of girls being trained to be top-notch spies (very totally spies type) a girl who's the top of her class falls in love with the biggest villainess they ever faced. More of a coming of age thing, that also explores the good old dilemma of choosing what the hell you're supposed to do with your life once you turn 18 (relatable tbh)
And now, for a book (in Spanish, though) we have "Las Malas": Narrated by a trans, poor prostitute. Extremely realistic in its narrative voice, cruel and very hurtful sometimes. This is actually one of my favorite books ever, it's so fucking underrated that I'm going to die if no one reads it. There's EVERYTHING. It genuinely drives me crazy to read this. We have queer moms, a child found in a freezing park, suicides, literally anything happens. I love it.
If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE drop them. I'm begging u

got a response to my last post and fuck if i didn't pull my computer out at one in the morning so i could do this particular topic justice
my "time to talk about family dynamics in tmnt" button was pushed real hard, and i don't get enough opportunities to talk about this
So let's talk about Leo's position in the family in the Bayverse movies. That's right folks, we're pulling out capital letters for the leader in blue, because this is a topic I am super serious about. Full college paper levels of serious. Gonna need to know how you want your sources cited.
This is a fascinating take tbh, and I would love to hear more about how you came to this conclusion. Allow me to show you why my position is different.
First:
I think this image says a lot. Leo's a daddy's boy long before anything like parentification could possibly come into play. Also it's really cute, look at him loving his dad!!
Second, let's talk parentification. Boiled down to its basics, parentification is when a child, usually the eldest, acts like a secondary or replacement parent. This is the part that really gets me, because I just don't see any evidence of it in the movies at all.
We do get to see some scenes from when they are kids, and no where is it suggested that Leo is anything other than another one of the boys.
Sure, Mikey hides behind him when play-fighting with Raph after the buck-buck scene, but that's just younger sibling behavior. No where is it implied that this happens because anyone expects it of Leo. That, I think, might be the closest to "parentification" that occurs in the movies.
The thing is, I don't think Leo has been the leader very long at the beginning of the 2014 movie. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it's a move Splinter made just before or even as the movie starts. Leo's and Raph's argument really solidifies that for me:
Raph: And who put you in charge?
Leo: You know who did.
This smacks, on Leo's part, of someone borrowing another's authority to shore up their own. That tells me that Leo at least does not feel that he has this authority on his own merit, that he's new to leadership. Raph senses this like a shark in bloody water, and he pushes because there's vulnerability there. (more on this later *rubs hands together in glee*)
I think that there is evidence in the 2016 movie that Leo is relatively new to a position of authority as well. His struggle to maintain the delicate balance of his brother's personalities and the fact that he allows his own personality to get in the way of being a good leader are prime examples.
These are pitfalls that a parentified person would already have experienced and would be able to avoid, and so they wouldn't have happened if Leo was parentified.
Third, let's talk about Leo and Raph.
So, my position here is that Leo and Raph DO have a normal sibling relationship, at least as normal as it can get when you are turtle mutants living in the sewers with only each other for company.
Anecdotal, I know, but I have a bit of experience with a similar dynamic to the one you assigned to them. I am the oldest of three, and my sister (middle) and I did NOT get along as kids. It got to the point where I thought as teens that once I left the house we would never talk to each other ever again.
Perceived favoritism was definitely an issue in my and my sister's relationship. Is it an issue with Leo and Raph? I honestly don't think we get enough time with Splinter in the movies to determine that concretely. It's definitely possible, but I believe something different is, either concurrently with or instead of favoritism, at play here.
I know it's easy to forget because they look Like That, but the turtles are teenagers. They are immature and don't always know how to express themselves. And Raph in particular struggles because he feels so strongly. It can be hard to control it when your emotions are strong like that, don't ask me how I know.
However, he gives himself away at the end of the 2014 movie. "Every time... I pushed you beyond your limits, it was because I believe in you! I believe in each one of you!"
Remember when I said that Raph sensed Leo's vulnerability and pushed on it? We've come back baby! I am firmly in the camp of 'both Raph and Leo are good leaders in their own way', and I think this is part of what makes Raph a good leader.
Sometimes Raph is actually annoyed at Leo for whatever reason, being told what to do the most common I think. But!! Remember, Raph also believes in his brothers, Leo included. So he puts Leo on the spot in a mostly controlled environment to help him learn how to be a leader. There's a lot more I could say here, but that's a Raph post, and this is about Leo.
So is it favoritism, Raph's need for independence, or Raph pushing Leo that causes tension in their relationship? I think it's a bit of all of that and more.
There is a fourth section to this post, about Splinter, but it is now almost four in the morning, I have to get up in like two hours, and I already fell asleep once while writing this. But know that in this iteration at least, Splinter is a decent single father of four boys, he did not parentify Leo, and any favoritism is unintentional.
Anyway, in my house we spend a lot of time talking about how much Leo loves his dad.
#bayverse leo#bayverse leonardo#bayverse raph#bayverse raphael#tmnt#theory tag#Really Long Post#this got so fucking long i am sorry i have a Lot to say about these fucking brothers#btw if anyone even thinks about saying anything to this person i will rake you over hot coals not joking#hah! bet y'all didn't know i'm nearly as feral about leo as i am about mikey and raph#don't talk about him much because it pisses me off how much i like him#the little shit wormed his way in without my permission and i'm never going to forgive him for that#lol not me showing off that i probably should have been a psych or sociology major

While we're waiting for Millie's shine in later episodes, how would you develop Millie and how would you write her?
PFFF uhh I expect we'll be waiting indefinitely tbh. But I guess the first step would be to ask a lot of questions and figure out which pieces are missing from the puzzle. Here's a list of what's on my mind about Millie, in no particular order:
In "The Harvest Moon Festival", she hugged her dad upon seeing him, but not her mom. Was she closer to her dad growing up? Why?
What first attracted her to knives and axes, and who taught her to use them as weapons?
What was her favorite job on the farm growing up?
Who was her first love?
How did she meet Blitzo and Moxxie?
What occupations did she have before joining IMP?
Does she ever hang out with anyone other than her coworkers and her husband? What are her friends like? How did they meet?
Does she want to have kids someday?
What's her educational background? If she went to college, which subject/s did she major in?
What hobbies does she have outside of killing people?
Millie's aggressive, violent side is emblematic of Wrath ring culture, but does she have any traits that clash with it?
What's her favorite location in all of Hell, and why?
Standard job interview fare: Where does she see herself in five years?
Why doesn't she ever stand up to Blitzo when he berates her husband? (I mean, in a meta sense, we know why, but what's the reason inside the narrative?)
What does her extended family look like? Do they all live in Wrath, or are they spread out across other rings?
What does she love most about Moxxie?
What did she and Moxxie do on their first date?
What's her most prized possession?
Most of these questions are fairly surface-level, like the kind of thing you'd ask someone you just met at a party. But the thing is, we've barely been introduced to Millie through this entire series. It'd help if she spent an episode or two away from Moxxie so we can see her personality as an individual rather than part of a set. These writers seem to think true love = being attached at the hip, but that's not how strong relationships work. You need a balance of the partners spending time together and having time to themselves. If a relationship leaves no room for independence, it'll get stifling pretty damn quick.
Maybe at some point, Millie gets burnt out from work and decides she needs a solo vacation for her mental health. This would separate her from Moxxie and provide an opportunity to glimpse parts of her life that don't revolve around him and IMP, as well as delve into the fractured mental state of a character who's usually a pillar of strength. To co-opt and rephrase a meme real quick: Everyone asks "What can Millie do for me?", not "How is Millie doing?"
Ideally, the whole episode would focus on her, with no B- or C-plots. She could meet her friends for coffee, or maybe visit extended family members. Perhaps learn some things about herself she never knew before. This all sounds very low-key and lacking in spectacle for this show, but any plot can crackle with deft storytelling. It'd be preferable if the episode answered multiple questions (not too many, but multiple) about the character at its center.
But when all's said and done, it seems the most important question is: What does this character currently struggle with the most? What do they want, and what's preventing them from getting it?
One major problem Millie and the other IMP employees have is that they don't seem to want anything. There's not much driving their actions.
Blitzo presumably wants his business to succeed, but what does that look like to him? What specific goal is he trying to reach? The Goetia family has a bit more direction: Stolas wants a deeper emotional connection with Blitzo (God only knows why, but that's what's presented to us), Octavia obviously wants her parents to stop fighting (though we have no idea how she plans to achieve this), and Stella wants Stolas dead (though she didn't think the consequences through, somehow) but everyone else is a big ol' question mark.
Anyway, that's just a basic overview of how I'd approach it.

Omg nonnie! 🥺 Thank you so much for taking the time to send these thoughtful questions, I really appreciate it❤️ Answers under the cut 😊
the best laid plans by @nanneramma! it's a sweet, delightful double drabble, very cleverly and wonderfully written. Longer gushy comment here
Both my favourite drink and drink I have regularly is tea! I love it sm~ I’m having it as I type this. Favourite drink that I don’t get to have often is bubble tea.
Oh hm,, I will try most foods tbh! I think sometimes it’s cos of certain foods being of too different a palate (even tho I’m chill with other foods of the same cuisine??). Like a memory that suddenly came to mind is of sushi. I’ve only tried it once, when I was 12. One of my classmates bought sushi for lunch once and offered some to me. The second I bit into it I knew I didn’t like it but she was so nice and earnestly asked how it was so I politely ate it anyway. That was years ago tho so maybe I will like it if I try now!
Omg great question! I had come across a clip of James Acaster’s stand-up, and I loved it. I looked up some more of his clips on YouTube, including his appearances on panel shows like WILTY. Then I watched some iconic moments from Taskmaster S7 and decided to look more into it, and the rest is history.
I have watched some tasks and some eps of Taskmaster AU and NZ! They are nice to watch but the UK one just hits different, esp re the Taskmaster himself.
I watch both compilations and the straight episode!
Omg I would say absolutely BUT I don’t like a lot of the food tasks ghkdjf so, yes on the condition that I knew in advance I wouldn’t have to watch any of those.
I like many series for different reasons!! Probably recency bias + lots of rewatching of S16 has made me like it quite a bit. I think I’m more sure of the series I absolutely don’t like fkgjds,, it’s the only one that I haven’t been able to continue watching beyond a short while, and I don’t think I ever will.
Oh gosh probably some four-legged animal. I think it was a goat, or a llama, or both. I’ve only folded a few of those (somehow managing it), and I don’t know what possessed me to try them in those moments 😅 There’s a particular folding common to them (and even some birds) that’s required to bring about the symmetry that just makes it so hard to me. That’s the reason why I much preferred to fold a unicorn, cos that tutorial split the body of it down the middle into two different models that were then slotted together to form the whole thing,, I found controlling that much easier.
Objectively, it is probably origami comics! I wasn’t sure if it would work, mostly re the reception of its execution, given the unusual medium. I sketched and brainstormed a lot to figure out how to work best with origami for it, and I was pleasantly surprised by how things went in the end :) I tried to push even further with subsequent comics I made.
Subjectively,, is a bit harder to answer, because I’ve tried to go big in different ways at different points and stages of learning and brainstorming depending on what type of project it was, be it solo or collab. And so I’ve felt differently about what’s been the biggest endeavour. I’ll probably say tho as I’m sitting right in front of it rn + it means a lot to me, is probably the artwork I did on my room wall. I was itching to get started but I hadn’t even formed a concrete design beyond some vague concepts, and I was really pleased when it all came together.
Oh hm interesting question, esp cos many things can be (feasibly) downsized into smaller dimensions, so I’ve tried to make tiny versions of whatever I could when I wanted to (one fave is stars, they’re already so small, I like to see how tiny it can go, especially with random scraps of strips I find). Off the top of my head, I rmb a very smol rabbit I made (as my first try of making it) using a little square torn from the corner of a hotel room’s notepad.
Complex origami ahh umm ok uk what I would say this round twist bowl I made. I don’t rmb if I ever posted it because I just picked the tutorial when I was trying to focus and ground myself so that was the main objective. I honestly don’t know how I managed to somehow zone in and fold it and idk if I will be able to do so as easily as the first time! I will try it again sometime soon~
The line “Today’s sooner” from @rockingrobin69's fic “Favourite” is often on my mind! My friend @getawayfox and I quote it at each other sometimes too.
Haha this question made me pause and realise I've never thought about that,, I haven’t seen many types of (weird) hats I think
The weather here all year round is the same and gross af, climate change is making the tropical weather here especially gross,, high 30s (Celsius) with 70-88% humidity :’)))
Haha omg what an interesting question XD I would say pink, cos of this video. Or resembling Lolly Adefope’s “multicoloured kidney”
#asked and answered#anon#thank you so so much for taking the time to do this#it really helped to focus on answering these#appreciate the distraction sm#have a great rest of the weekend and week ahead!

Hey there, I hope you don't mind me dropping in here on a topic from a few days ago and harping on about it (I'm not very well-versed on ask boxes so I'm a bit unsure of the etiquette. If I commit a major faux-pas, forgive me). Apologies if this ends up a little long and a lot sarcastic - I have opinions about this. It's given me a fair bit of grief over the years.
Y'know, I see these 'abusive Dean' takes float across my dash a fair bit (apparently not being into Destiel or Wincest means I must be a Bitter Sam-girl instead and hate Dean, according to Tumblr). The oh-so-delightful 'abusive husband Dean and beaten wife Sam' takes. People calling Sam 'beaten wife coded' in general. One based on a grand total of two instances where he flinched cause Dean made a loud violent noise near him (who the hell wouldn't, you don't need to be 'beaten wife coded' to flinch when someone chucks a chair at a wall, it's almost like Sam has some kind of trauma about various other things and might be generally jumpy...). Or taking the end of S10 out of context and choosing to forget that Dean was nearly fully taken over by a mark of fratricide (which he still managed to overcome, they conveniently fail to mention that). And I just... ugh.
What I never understood about these takes is like... why? There's trying to paint your fave in a good light and a character you hate in a bad one, but then there's making the heart and soul of the show itself into something so ugly it ruins it for other people, like your Anon, and honestly this happened to me too a while ago before I forced myself to stop listening to the greater fandom and find a few I trusted (like you). Even still, it gets all up in my head sometimes. Why are these people finding such glee in making the central relationship so awful? What are you getting out of this show if you think that about it?
Like, imagine looking at the finale through this lens. Congratulations, you turned something sad but ultimately bittersweet into something horrible, the 'beaten wife' dedicating the rest of their life to their 'abuser' then being forced to be with them for eternity, and this is portrayed as a good thing. Why would you ever want to view it that way? Plus, it's rather forced if you take it as a whole - the few times Sam stood there looking contrite while Dean did something stupid pale in comparison to the number of times he calls him out on it, even in the later seasons (14x12 Prophet and Loss, anyone? 15x17 Unity?).
I guess people can take from media what they want, it's obviously not my place to police people's enjoyment, but I just never got the appeal. It seems so counter to what the show was clearly actually trying to do, yet they tout it as fact (now where have I seen that before). Like it's somehow a bad thing to enjoy the show on its own terms. Coming across these takes still kinda bums me out. This goes for people insisting it's the other way around too - I can't stand any brother vs. brother stuff either, it's never anything but bad faith, and honestly kinda misses the point. Some of these people boggle my mind with their lack of empathy.
If there's one thing this fandom is good for, it's honing your ability to roll your eyes and move along. It's full of so much absolute batshit insanity that you'll never survive if you listen to every take. Trust me, I've tried. Do you know which tags to block to avoid this kinda stuff? Cause I never seem to be able to.
Sorry if this was a bit of a rant dump, heh. I'm usually a chronic lurker, but this discourse in particular bothers me immensely.
You're absolutely fine, I mind neither bringing up previous topics nor excessive length (be a bit of a hypocrite if I did, tbh). And yeah, it's one of my least favorite SPN fandom discourses, too.
It does feel like it's pretty hard to find any corner of the fandom where you won't at least occasionally see one side or the other's worst faith not!fave-brother-is-terrible takes. And oh, do I hate the 'beaten wife Sam' half of the 'Dean is an abuser' discourse equation just as much. Like, supposedly they like Sam, so why on earth would they want to pretend this stubborn competent badass of a character is actually a helpless pathetic marshmallow?! Same with Dean on the opposite side of the fandom - it's not just the character they're constantly maligning I can't recognize, the character they "like" similarly bears very little resemblance to the one I'm a fan of!
So far as I can tell, some people just desperately need their favorite character to be the best one who is always in the right. Whether it's over-identification or what, I don't know. They seem to think they achieve it by reframing large portions of the canon as justifying, unfairly attacking, or insulting that character as necessary. Except they don't see how from the outside it very often looks entirely absurd, regardless of if they're doing it in favor of Sam, Dean, or Castiel. Which is not to say there aren't parts of canon which treat all of those characters ridiculously in one way or another? But it's the total fixation on it only being the case with their favorite character in every possible situation where it gets weird.
Every great once in a while, I do manage to come across a take that really annoys me. But for the most part? The extreme ones are just so absurd, so divorced from what anyone even vaguely trying to understand the other characters' motivations and what the show quite obviously intended? I just can't take it at all seriously. Especially when they (as they so often do) get canon details wrong or pointedly "forget" all the canon points that blatantly don't fit their narrative.
Unfortunately, like with a certain ship, when it comes to tagging? You're kind of at the mercy of the self-awareness of the poster about how much other people may not want to see their hot takes.

2 FROM EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE PLEASE
QUESTIONS FOR THE MUN || accepting !
What caused you to start writing? What was your key point?
reading and writing have always been hobbies of mine, so when i learned i could write as the fictional characters i love? with other people!? i was so down!
i don't remember what keyed me in on it, though? i used to play pretend (it was just LARPing, lbr) on the playground until i was around 11, so maybe it kinda clicked in my mind that writing was the natural next step? no clue.
Do you tell your friends / family that you write?
KINDA... i tell people i write with a community online and create "collaborative stories," but i never refer to it as rp or go in-depth unless i know that person's also done it before / is in similar fandom spaces.
Are you happy with how your favorite canon muse was portrayed in canon?
sure, i don't have any major complaints about his writing! it's consistent and fun to compare how differences in the localization shift the tone of certain character/rship-building scenes, while still managing to keep the spirit of his character intact. my only "issue" is that they could've put more time into expanding his character arc in the third act (but the same can be said for every character... a fumble all around tbh).
Have you ever written a canon muse that you first thought of ‘meh’ when they appeared in their canon show/movie/book?
NOPE! can't do it. if i'm not weird about that fictional character from the start, it's very unlikely i'll ever put the effort into forcing myself to write them. i need that click! that spark!
How do you create an OC? What are your steps for developing an OC?
i haven't developed an oc in yearssss so i'm the last person anyone should be asking. uh... (1) be a preteen, (2) develop an insane normal fictional crush, and (3) make an oc to ship them with. bam.
Who was your first OC?
i made my first in-depth oc when i was a wee 9 year old... she started out as a self-insert sonic oc that i obviously had to ship with sonic and shadow bc, duh. i also forced my cousins to make ocs so we could roleplay together lol.
i had more before that one but they were basically just vague roles i slipped into when playing pretend with my friends.
Is there any fandom you regret exploring?
can i say all of them njgnjg i think every fandom out there has its subset of annoying fans who'll make you reconsider ever interacting with anyone you haven't personally vetted lol, even if briefly. for example -- just bc of its infamy -- i never interact with sonic fans outside my circle; i've seen way too many pointless debates and shitty opinions to risk venturing out there again...
In what fandom did you start?
i am SO glad sonic was the first because the ones after it are infinitely more embarrassing.
What are your favorite ships on here (feel free to tag?)
OOO good question!!! i'll start by saying i've been rooting for break/zhilan since day 1 -- love those goobers!! other than that, i enjoy seeing any ship get together on here, like lloyd/zelos, vash/wolfwood (both iterations), nicolette/wang yi... if you're shipping with someone just now i'm hooting 'n hollering whenever they interact.
Have you ever developed a ship based on writing with a certain other character / mun?
nope, not yet! it's not that i'm against developing ships after noticing chemistry betwen muses -- far from it! -- it's just never gotten to the point where i wrote one.
What’s something you find weird on here?
i can't think of anything in particular, so... tumblr's commitment to making their layout as annoying as unoriginal and bloated as possible.
What people make you happy when you see them on the dash?
commence the taggening... you (duh), @kleinstar, @moraypower, @hollowfaith, @cladinivcry, @ultimatelifefcrm, @innerbeast, @nicawlette, @twohundredpower, @spiderstaff, @lalaluuz, ... i can't keep tagging people i'll go on forever...

character ask game excuse for you to talk about Guy Gardner
yippeeee! a chance for me to talk about my babygirl!
Song that reminds me of him:
I gotta say "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" by Toby Keith. not for any particular political reasons, i just think Guy has the energy of the song. his favorite band is canonically Aerosmith though, so i gotta say "Dream On" by Aerosmith. different vibes, but now that im thinking about it i want to cryyyyy
What he smells like:
his constructs specifically smell like rosemary (for the green ones) and hot sauce (for the red ones)
guy himself probably smells like Irish Spring deodorant/body wash and Old Bay seasoning
An OTP:
guyhal! tbh i prefer aroace guy gardner, but theres just something about guy and hal and their relationship. they make each other so much worse but also push each other to be better through healthy competition.
A NoTP:
ummmmm honestly i cant think of any particularly squicky ones for me because i dont really like any except guyhal.
i dont like guytora because i like them better as friends, and i dont like guykyle outside of canon instances because to me, kyle is so much younger than guy.
Favorite platonic/familial relationships:
guy and kilowog- theyre besties and i adore all of their interactions. they care so much for each other
guy and arkillo- fucking love them. they beat the shit out of each other and then went "hey its ride or die time"
guy and john- i love them. theyre so different in personality but their dynamic is great
A headcanon that is popular in the fandom that i disagree with:
GUY GARDNER IS NOT JUST THE "ANGRY GL" HE IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT OH MY GOD PLEASE ACTUALLY WRITE HIM WITH A REAL PERSONALITY! HE IS FILLED WITH SO MUCH LOVE! HE IS LOYAL, DEDICATED, AND REALLY LOVES THE CORPS AND HIS FOUND FAMILY
also literally any iteration of guy gardner that is abusive or a cop is written so fucking wrong. look at guy gardners backstory please. this is about canon comics as well as fanon
The position he sleeps in:
he sleeps on his stomach with his arms under the pillow. he also sleeps either completely nude or in boxers
A crossover au i'd love to see them in:
um. literally none? aus maybe, but no crossovers i think. the only other media that i can think of for crossovers make me want to scream bc i dont fucking want that
wait no i want him to beat bobby flay or absolutely dominate on guys grocery games or a similar cooking show. not quite a crossover tho lol
My favorite outfit theyve ever worn:
in costume, literally any of the composite lantern looks for him (im obsessed)(first image from Lost Army, the second from Emerald Warriors)
if we're talking out of costume, this has to be my favorite (i adore the leather jacket and the Warriors shirt)(from Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps)
#guy gardner#guyhal#green lantern#hal jordan#kyle rayner#kilowog#arkillo#john stewart#hybrid lantern guy gardner#red lantern guy gardner#star sapphire guy gardner#ketchup answers

End of an Era for the 5 headcanons thing? All your AUs are so cool and I struggled to pick one in particular but I love time travel so it's always been one of my favorites
Thank you!! End of an Era is one of my faves too tbh.
Izuku's quirk control is terrifyingly good, as is his hand to hand combat. All Might isn't surprised about the quirk control, because One for All came easily to him too. The fighting threw him but Izuku is his boy so he's very willing to brush off any inconsistencies. Aizawa assumes Izuku must have had a trainer in quirked combat, but he's still just a little too good. He's quietly concerned about him being a vigilante.
Todoroki is stuck on the "All Might is Izuku's father" theory because he really doesn't want it to be true here. Izuku's quirked combat is better than his - he's been training his whole life under his father. He just really wants All Might to be a good person.
The USJ is a massacre. Because Izuku kicks the ever living shit out of everyone. Aizawa still gets a little messed up because Izuku wasn't sure about the timing of his injury and was still trying to get his classmates to safety. He's much better off though because the second the Nomu slams his face into the floor Izuku is on the thing, using his bare hands to try to claw its brain out of its skull.
Izuku is really touchy around food and other consumable resources. He's actually thinner than canon Izuku because the idea of eating more food than he strictly needs to makes him nervous. He has mutiple food stashes, including in his backpack incase he ever had to run for it. Most of 1A just thinks its cool that he's always got snacks to share.
Once showed up to class favouring his side, later bled a few spots through on his uniform shirt. Was super embarrassed when asked, sheepishly said that he was doing parkour and got sliced open on razor wire. Coincidentally, Iida Tensei had a very weird morning, coming into work and finding the Hero Killer tapped to his agency door.

I was tagged by @yourfavoritefridge and am taking a page from @sendpseuds ('s) book and answering this while deeply compromised. Sober, I am not.
You have been warned!
1.) How many works do you have on ao3?
62!
2.) What's your ao3 word count?
800,347! (Ooh, big round number!)
3.) What fandoms do you write for?
Currently: Kingsman & Star Wars. (I really never thought I'd be in either of them but I'm glad I am.)
4.) What are your top five fics by kudos?
gold and pink and glittering: 498, Hartwin, E. I'm still surprised to this day how much people liked it. First smut in several years.
the lean and hungry type: 453, Obikin, E. First time getting to do alpha/beta, and written from around 11pm to 4 am and then another hour proofreading. I was mildly delirious, ngl.
offer a little salt for that wound: 463, Hartwin, E. OOH man I had this one in my head and wouldn't leave me tf alone. My plot bunnies aren't USUALLY visual, but this one was!
cold water on your tongue: 429, Obikin, E. Still surprised this one took off tbh! I had a lot of moments where the fic felt awkward to me and not worth salvaging. But I think it makes people happy, and god, I can't really ask for more than that!
somebody to lie in the dark with: 302, Obikin, E. That's the second time today I've typed something instead of someone in that title. HMM. (Sith-Wan, my darling!)
5.) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do when I can! Have a pretty decent streak going, I think? I think I owe a really lovely commenter from like 5 days ago and nnnghh the guilt is heavy.
6.) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Potentially empty spaces, empty phrases (Obikin) depending on how you decide the ending goes! But objectively: let me stay (TimJon).
7.) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
oh fuck, who are you, the cops? (me, looking at my fics in despair)
I think the honor goes to cold water on your tongue. Everything else tends to end in a bittersweet or incomplete ("to be continued") kind of way.
8.) Do you get hate on fics?
Not outside of TMA. It's been absolutely lovely being in Kingsman / Obikin fandoms. I genuinely showed up here low-key scared for my life, and I've been shown nothing but kindness and support.
9.) Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Yes, and welcome to the first of the "UH IDK? [awkward shrug/hand wave]" questions because... I have no idea how to answer that. Like, what are the quantifiers here? Level of depth (NO PUN INTENDED) in how explicit it is, or what bits are rubbing against what bits, or like, if I specialize in any particular kind of smut (if there aren't pins for "I WRITE BDSM SMUT", I demand we print them) or— tldr: IDK. Vibe. The vibe kind. oh my god not vibrator vibe brain why are you doing this
10.) Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Nope. I've thought about fusions, though! Like, I feel a fic where Obi-Wan is a Kingsman and picks Anakin as his candidate--maybe it was Qui-Gon's dying request still, and when Obi-Wan became a knight and a seat next opened up, he reluctantly said, FINE.
(Now I'm wondering what knight Obi-Wan would be. Gawain? The original version of him, not the vulgarized mythos of later romances. Which leaves Anakin to be Agravaian, which is pretty perfect tbh. I mean he could also be Mordred since they're all brothers)
11.) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yup! Multiple times. It never stops feeling Not Okay.
12.) Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I know of?
13.) Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Nope.
14.) What's your all time favorite ship?
oh fuck you are the cops.
Uh. tbh this is a really hard question until I asked myself: a 100k fic written by an amazing author: what pairing would you be more excited about? And my heart... my heart said Hartwin.
15.) What's a WIP you'd like to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Ahh, sadly the post-Vday canon divergence Hartwin fic. I'm told it stands on its own as is, though. So maybe that counts for something?
16.) What are your writing strengths?
I have no idea. You saw what happened during the smut question, I fell apart like a jenga tower! And that was a simple question!
Honestly though, I don't know. That I manage to carry enough vibes to be entertaining? That's pretty good.
17.) What are your writing weaknesses?
I will not clutch the camera and shove my face into it and whisper everything in a voice ragged with despair I will not clutch th—
18.) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Google Translate, my dearest friend. (Unless it's Spanish, I can handle that on my own.)
Granted, if I have a friend who speaks the language, you can bet I'm knocking down their door like a SWAT squad.
19.) First fandom you wrote for?
UH SO FUNNY STORY. I watched IT (the TV series) when I was like, 7. Was very confused for many reasons (partly because I missed the first hour) but also i was a Weird Child, and also Not American.
But! I didn't know it was based off a book written by a dude, so one day I just... started writing the story down in a notebook when I was 8. Because I figured I liked the movie (I assumed it was a movie at the time) so much, why NOT turn it into something to read?
20.) Favorite fic you've ever written?
Beholding's Own. Lightning-in-a-bottle kind of situation, 10+ year break from writing, and also re-entering fandom after said 10+ year long break. It's really hard to live up to that kind of fondness.
From new fics? the devil is a gentleman. I can't help it, this Obi-Wan and Anakin are hilarious. They are so dumb and yet so smart.
I'm supposed to tag people now for this, so imagine me throwing Your Candy of Choice at @irrationalsense, @veloursdor, @kingdomvel and @howlbrooklyn like a fastball. (And anyone else who'd like to do it!)

For the OC heraldry game, Azure 1, Gold 2, and Black 3 for Ella!
Azure 1: Does your OC have a guiding principle by which they live their life--such as duty, self restraint or vengeance? Has this ever been tested by circumstance or challenged by another person?
I'd say that Ella's guiding principals are love & loyalty. Primarily to her family, but that kind of intense love can be pointed in the direction of a friend. A lot of what she does can be tied back into whoever she's showing this kind of devotion to & what she's decided to tie her love & loyalty onto.
This does get tested in some major ways throughout her arc, & I wouldn't say she ever wavers, but the tether these principles are tied to gets shifted around when her mother is murdered, when she confronts her dad later, when she finds out about Laenamon, when her favorite cousins respectively act like a freak & a half, with the whole Evyn Waters situation, when the stuff at Driftmark happens. And like, these are just the things I have happened or have been planned so far (no one ever ask me what the middle of my outlines look like). TBH, a lot of Ella's arc is finding where to place her big emotions & how to deal with them.
Or 2: Does your OC have any wishes or desires of which they are ashamed or otherwise wish to keep secret? Or do they loudly proclaim their every wish to those around them?
Everyone is gonna know what she wants whether they want to or not. I think she'd be ashamed to admit she used to want her parents to fix their marriage & for them all to be a big, happy family, but at the time that she was experiencing that want she was definitely gonna let people know about it. She was maybe quieter about that desire when she was a teenager, but, like, if you asked you were definitely gonna know about it/she wasn't gonna lie or hide it.
In terms of things she wants/desires/wishes for now there's not really a whole lot at this particular moment in the fic. She wants justice/vengeance for her mom, but her family wants that too. Otherwise? She's kind of getting everything she wants. She has a hunky simp boy toy malewife, she has a son she loves to bits, she gets to keep living at Runestone, she has her dragon, she has her brothers (even if one is being fostered atm), she's surrounded by friends--she wishes that the friend breakup with Laena hadn't happened, but that's more a "she shouldn't have done what she did" thing & she's not really ready to move on to fix that bond yet.
Sable 3: Is your OC comfortable in expressing their grief? Such as by crying at funerals or memorial events? Or do they always keep their emotions intensely private? Or perhaps not express them at all?
Babygirl has such a complicated relationship with grief & its expression therein.
She's good at expressing it in the moment, but she kind of also never got over that little kid thing where all your emotions feel like the biggest, most intense, extra version of that thing because you have never felt something so big in your life considering you haven't been doing this "alive" thing for too long. RIP Ella Royce, you would have loved modern psychiatric medicine & getting a proper diagnosis for the mood disorder you most definitely have.
She'll cry & carry on for however long she deems appropriate/believes that the cause of her grief is fresh, but she also gets incredibly overwhelmed by negative emotions so after a while she's going to run from it. She'll cry at the funeral & when a situation has just happened, but afterwards she's going to try to find some way to try to move on because "I want to be done now."
When her Grandfather Yorbert came home from being Jeyne Arryn's regent because he was sick, & she was having to watch him die, she started writing her fantastical, escapist self-insert history OC. When her Aunt Aemma died, she went back to those stories & actually finished writing them even though she hasn't touched them in at least a year. When her mom died she threatened to burn down King's Landing & then ran away from home so she wouldn't be at the place that was the source of her grief.
So, like, she's very good at the initial catharsis, & about as comfortable with it as one can be, but she's not good at when you have to process the feelings that come after that initial out pour.

spektor anon writing back: I have a lot of favorite eps that i dont watch often cus theyre too intense or i want to give them my full attention, so the ones i return to usually are to idly listen to while formatting reports or doing artwork that is essentially mindless (I watched a significant chunk of MASH while doing inking on a very detailed 24ish page comic) idk what logic motivates what eps i tend to rewatch. Usually I like to return to ones that I feel have a lot of good monologues, conversations, or pranks. good character moments. ensemble eps. tbh thats most of them tho? I suppose anything with Flagg or Sidney I will return to again and again cus they're so goddamn funny
"carry on, hawkeye" is rlly good but has a later season equivalent that I like to rewatch a lot for a lot of reasons, although I know I just said that I sometimes avoid more intense ones: Bless You Hawkeye. obviously a flagship moment for Alan Alda's acting and for Sidney's character on the show, and a precursor to a lot of the conflicts and themes of GFA but the big thing for me that makes it comforting is just seeing everyone take Hawk's issue very seriously, prioritizing it and trying to be very proactive about it. part of the draw of mash is that they pretty much are always falling apart and never seem to have the capacity to take care of eachother the way they should- they lack resources, theyre in a constant state of life-or-death-overwork, they are flawed people: I don't think its a mistake that that level of care is lacking often, but its rlly comforting to see everyone willing and able to pretty much set aside all other responsibilities and just exclusively focus on someones needs for once. Shout out in particular to that moment in Potter's office when everyone crowds around him and physically holds him up- it looks like a renaissance painting and it made me cry like a little bitch when i first saw it. I think everyone wants that a little bit- to be given support like that when they all apart. I cant watch it while doing other things but ill put it on if im sick or feeling rlly low cus its cathartic. Other big ones off the top of my head that I rewatch casually for me are: -the bus (an all time favorite have a lot of thoughts on it) -An eye for a tooth (bj, hawk, and margaret <3) -rally around the flagg (i love it when flagg thinks ppl are communists) -Are you now margaret (flagg again! pranks! I like the idea that margaret had friends whose politics were less odiously "hooray america" than hers- maybe they can all reconnect and re-radicalize her after the war. Also shout out to a reckoning with how serious sa stuff is re: margaret. I cried in anger seeing it, it was very satisfying that the narrative framing took it seriously for once. since then ive cooled off and can just enjoy ppl protecting margaret. shout out to klinger in particular hes a real one and i like the closet bit) -run for the money (rlly good ep for everyone but of course charles in particular. rlly nice to see him in that light) -i forget the name but the ep when trap boxes ("HAWKeYe THIS GUY PUNCHeS JeePS")
idk the big recurring thing seems to be Mulcahey and Margaret spotlight episodes and anything with sidney and flagg.
hi spektor anon!!! i'm sorry it took me so long to answer 😭
flagg and sidney episodes are also ones i return to pretty frequently, but i feel like i need to be in a certain mood to watch a flagg episode (idk why lol)
bless you hawkeye is SUCH a fascinating choice to me because it's one of the episodes i tend to avoid due to how intense it is. the way you describe it is so sweet though, it is a really kind episode in that regard, the way they're all concerned about hawkeye is very comforting (and he deserves it lol)
those are all really great episodes too! run for the money is especially fun to me, i love a mulcahy-centric episode (especially when it gives him a good conflict. not necessarily true for run for the money specifically but for others)

do you have any resources for things for a caregiver to ask a new playmate? I started playing with a lb recently, we've only met twice but both times we jumped into it so quickly, and I feel a little lost and out of my depth. Always before I'd played with partners that I knew inside and out before we ever played together, but this lb is just as new to me as a person as he is my little. he's also more experienced in the scene than me and it all is leading to me feeling a bit like a failure tbh. your posts are so well thought out, I've been lurking your blog for an hour or so now, so I also wanted to say how much I appreciate all the thought and hard work you put out there for us. you have a really great resource here.
First: you are not a failure at all. You're new to this particular person and dynamic, which is different. You're new to this person, this dynamic experience, their expectations and style... it's impossible for you to know any better what to do and you haven't been getting any instruction! Give yourself a break and be gentle about this. The feeling of failure comes from not meeting expectations, but often the expectations are your own and not even your partner's, ok? So be gentle with yourself, and congratulate yourself on doing the right things and trying to learn and read on this stuff!!
Second; I'm so flattered you think so highly of me and thank you! You might not know this, but my old blog (sciencescribbler) had a lot of the kind of posts You're looking for... but it was deleted by tumblr and I don't know where to get that old resource. But I can happily help and offer my thoughts and advice?
Personally, I suggest you try to not jump into this quite that fast until you have a better idea of what you AND he are wanting. Some really basic stuff you'd do in any dynamic with a degree of power exchange and D/s dynamics is set the expectations.
The best way to do that is ask, talk, and share. Below are some good basic questions to start this off that might be useful. Keep in mind that you will need to answer your own questions back, and have a full dialogue.
What is your "little" range? Do you see yourself as a little, a regressor, a submissive, a slave, a baby boy or baby girl? Is this associated with a specific age range or role or is it more fluid?
Is this roleplay to you, or a true part of your identity and needs as an adult?
How often do you want this dynamic and to what degree? For example: do you want mommy to make some rules for you to follow every day like a bedtime, diapering routine, rule system, etc? Or is it more about the titles, and the idea of the thing than the daily structure?
Speaking of titles: what is yours and your partners in all this? Mommy? Mommy domme? Mistress? Girlfriend? Is this a poly thing, monogamous, aaaand is it built focused on the kink dynamics or the vanilla friendship at its core?
What are your kinks, fetishes, and interests in this dynamic?
What are your "limits", hard and soft, and can you explain why those are your limits?
What are your desires from me as a mommy, a partner, or an owner? Is this expected to be full time, the core of our interactions? Or is this a fun thing we do to get off on the bedroom? Neither is wrong but it can't be a huge mismatch between you two, or you'll both end up feeling unfulfilled.
What are your favorite little activities?
What are ways you love to be reminded you're my little one? How can you show ME as the dominant your submission and obedience?
Do you have little items, like favorite stuffies or blankets or things you watch or do? If so, tell me about them! By connecting with your little one's interests and specific littlespace items you might find the role easier yourself?
What makes you FEEL subby, or little? What are things to avoid that maybe break your headspace?
My final, likely best advice: you feel unsure and like a failure often because you're not able to provide what someone wants. Often, the very gentle mommy domme and daddy dom community are filled with people who are filled up by serving someone else's needs and guiding them... but that also means they're often needing that validation and success to feel like they're a good caregiver or dominant. But you're not failing: you don't have the core, basic, fundamental information to get started with. Until you know their kinks, limits, expectations, set your own rules and standards, and agree to how you're both going to interact, you CAN'T succeed because you don't yet know what success even looks like.
And don't, ever, EVER let anyone make you feel like a failure for their jumping into things without giving you the basics you need. I'd strongly recommend you have a nice calm, blame free chat about what you both like and want, and see if that can help!
And the other secret advice I give every Dominant??? Confidence is key: you're taking the role of dominant, controlling your Partner and your interactions. You don't necessarily have to FEEL confident... but you're setting the rules. Take confidence in your own ability, and if you fake it to start, it will eventually become real confidence! After all, success and repetition breed confidence.
As for basic things to do as a mommy or daddy or caregiver: you can never go wrong with gentle teasing, frequent diaper or pull up checks, effectively teasing them by treating them like a precocious and overly eager toddler! Make them hold your hand crossing the street, wipe their face with a damp cloth after meals, ask if they need to go potty, limit them to only kids TV or movies, set their wardrobe, give them a bedtime routine, etc.
And if I get any good older posts of my old blog I'll send them along, if they're relevant!
Give yourself credit: you're already making them feel little if they do it with you to start... and you are only going to get better. Don't see this as failure: see it as the start of a new thing you're just learning the details of!
Good luck, friend! If you need more info on basics of this kinda thing, I also suggest checking out advice for any new D/s dynamic, as the majority of the same advice will be applied here!

Hello....Do you mind if I ask your top 5 (or top 10) favorite moments from any media that you love (books, anime/manga, tv series, movies, games, etc)? Thanks if you want to answer. Sorry if I ask too much....
Hi!
Thank you for the fun ask. So, I don't think these are gonna be my all times favourites because like... there are too many and I am bound to forget many ones I love LOL... So, I will just write down some moments that come to mind from different medium in no particular order... Tbh they are probably going to be influenced by my current mood and not exhaustive at all?
Once Upon a Time in America - The reveal of who Senator Bailey is. It is the twist the whole movie is built on and the reveal is powerfully done without words thanks to the clever use of the same child actor for father and son. By seeing how the son looks like, you immediately realize who the father is. (Runner up for this moment is Morton's death in Once Upon A Time in the West, another movie by Leone - poetic and thematically poignant)
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? - The reveal the religion of Mercerism is a lie. It drives home the irony of empathy being used as a weapon to discriminate instead of a weapon to understand others. Brilliant! (Runner up for this moment is the door asking for money to open herself up in Ubik, another book by Dick - capitalism at its finest)
Monster - The Red Roses Mansion's reveal. It is still one of my favourite twists ever. It is beautifully foreshadowed and it is an example of a twist that really makes the story better. In the sense, it is not just surprising, but it adds a lot of depth to both the twins and the themes. It completely deconstructs the bad twin and good twin archetype.
Psycho Pass - Akane's inner sequence, where she confronts all the people she met and answers the questions she had no answer for previously. It is a beautiful way to show Akane's growth and psychological process. It is also a very powerful way to affirm the themes of the series.
RWBY - Penny's death. I was not expecting it and was actually worried they were missing the mark with Penny's arc. To see them deliver such a wonderful and powerful ending for this character had my trust in the series renewed.
I tried to choose one moment from my favourite mediums (movies, books, manga, anime and indie animation). Of course the list isn't exhaustive and there are TONS of other memorable moments tbh... Just considering series like HxH, Hazbin or Oshi no Ko, I could write many many lists. Let's say these are moments that have stuck with me throughout time, so here there are.
Thank you for the ask :)
