Because Din, in the hylian creation myth, created the physical world. Naryu then created the laws - gravity, time, etc. And Farore finally created life - plants and people.

Din created the body, naryu the mind, Farore the soul.

And the triforce and its wielders so perfectly reflect that.

Ganon is physical power, he is big and intimidating and he breaks things. He is cunning and determined, but that's not what he focuses on. He is might makes right.

Zelda is wisdom and cleverness. She is stall tactics and information and team work. She is a powerful mage with a spine of steel, but that's not how she'll win. She is the pen being mightier than the sword.

Link is courage and persistence. He is the wild card sneaking behind enemy ranks, always moving, plunging into terrifying situations head first. He's a phenomenal fighter with a keen wit, but that's not what will get him through his challenges. He is bravery not being the absence of fear but the triumph over it.

They sit in perfect parallels to each other.

And ganon is reborn through his body - his resurrection is immortality. No matter how low he is cast, as long as he has a body he can claw his way back. He can cling to his power, build it ever higher.

Zelda is reborn through the magic of her bloodline. It's the accumulated knowledge handed down for generations, the unique power she must master, the skills she must develop to survive and get her kingdom out the other side intact. Even her name, the knowledge of herself, is handed down from all the way from the very first. Her ancestors knowledge of her future presence, her stability, is what gives her the edge.

Link is reborn in spirit. He is not bound by flesh or blood. Just like his wanderlust soul he can reappear in any time or place. His variation, his unpredictability, is exactly how he fights. It's what makes him so hard to pin down.

Ganons need to build strength means he can't chase after link. Links impulsiveness means zelda can outwit him. Zeldas stationary predictability means she's an easy target for ganon.

But the other direction?

Fire melts ice, ice redirects lightning, lightning burns fire.

And that's the very essence of the triforce.

The most fucking annoying thing about all the "conflict of interest" gate is it's going to be F1 Academy and Susie that suffer as a result of it.

They're not going to lobby for Toto to move on and dissociate from Mercedes, they'll want Susie fired, so F1 Academy will lose the person spearheading it, despite her clearly being the best qualified person for the role right now. Just as the series is finally going to get an opportunity to take off, it will lose its rudder and get derailed before its begun.

And even if they DON'T find anything of note, it's Susie's reputation that will end up being tarnished, because its always women that bear the brunt of these things, despite F1 and 'conflict of interest' going hand in hand since records began.

And all this for a tabloid magazine article by someone who not only is banned from the paddock, but has been on the receiving end of numerous libel cases from people inside the paddock.

The FIA are trying to appear like they're being 'fair and thorough and authoritative' but they're not, they're just legitimising the accusations when it's not really their issue to investigate. It's shameful politicking and it's yet another example of the FIAs internalised misogyny. Where was their investigation into the allegations about Mohammed Ben Sulayem? Or is it only when it suits them?

Question from chat: “Hi Jeff and Mike, when will Dragon Age 4 be shown and released?” Jeff: “Yeah, I mean, I expect it will probably pop up this summer. I don’t know when it’ll be shown is the real answer, that’s the, let’s get that out, I don’t know when it will be shown. I assume it will be shown sometime this summer. Could happen at any time though. It will be released this year [2024], last I heard. Jack looming over your shivering and worn out body; lungs desperately trying to keep up oxygen intake as the sporadic beating of your heart threatens to pop right out of your chest. Silver locks of hair hides the eyes drinking up the sight that beholds him. Spreading his digits apart, the shape of the sharp thin blades make their appearance through the fog that always somehow follow wherever he goes.

A saccharine smile is cut onto his face. The chase had his heart pumping almost as fast as yours. The only other thing keeping the rate in this position was the pure adrenaline coursing through his veins.

Jack presses his palm firmly on your chest while his fingers land oh-so cautiously as to not slice into you too soon. Being able to hurt you so up and close rather than from a distance felt so intimate. He most definitely won't be the same after this. He needs more.

"It's no fun if you keep squirming." Jack leans down, closing into your pitiful state. He looks as if he were drooling just at the sight, "Or has this been your way of teasing me? You're not the same as those previous harlots, are you?" Of course you were. You're a dirty, tainted little thing, but that's what he loved about you. You were already ruined, but somehow stayed sweet enough to tempt him into biting.

And sink his teeth in he did.

As much as he's itched to leave deep jagged claw marks on your precious skin, Jack decides to enjoy the moment for what it's worth. Hand flexing, the slightest bits of pressure is applied as he slowly drags his blades down from just above your collar bones to your mid-section past your ribcage.

Your dopamine-inducing screams and kicks sends him teetering over the edge. Breathing labored as his own lower body trembles in the ecstasy; you were perfect. Dirty, dirty little fucking whore, it's a vile thought. Slaughtering anyone else was messy murder, but digging into you? Tearing you to shreds? Why, that's paradise.

Jack's lips hover above the shell of your ear uncomfortably close. He wants to be close, closer. Chest to chest, the fact your blood is fusing into the fabric of his suit takes ahold of him in endorphins.

"No matter where you go," he dances the flat side of his blades across your wounds, making you flinch at instinct, "I'll be there with you. You belong to me, blood, sweat, and tears."

Boy, did I spend way more hours on this than I meant to considering I have actual deadlines to meet.

Textures as backgrounds was a game-changer ngl (really it's just a background-image: url("link") !important) - credit to La_Temperanza on AO3, check out her tutorial on formatting letters and stationary here!

However, I so wish that AO3 allowed fonts. Not because web-safe fonts are bad, but there's so few. Just using the cursive (as seen in Joel's letter) might accidentally translate to a goofy ass front on microsoft devices. So a few more options, or the option to embed fonts one day would be *chefs kiss*

I have no idea when or if I'll use the Sibyl's Diner check, or F's computer (rewriting, I'm thinking of different ways of opening the story. I don't like the current one lol) but I just think they're neat so they get to stay.

Coding is like, surprisingly easy. Did I have a few hiccups with the texture urls? yes. But did I win in the end? Yes.

To be fair with Leo and Donnie getting their issues explored I think the show did that more than the others. So thats why the fandom does that

you can make that argument for mikey (IT MAKES ME UPSET!!!! i wish there was more potential with mikey angst that isn't about his family's problems instead of his own) but i dont think you can for raph. just like donnie and leo, raph gets the closest thing he possibly can to looking right at the camera and saying his insecurities, and people still dont really explore them unless he's meant to be an extension of one of the others. he even gets a lot of special season finale time, and a lot of episodes centered around him (including pizza puffs which goes out of its way to show that he's exhausted in his position of responsibility).

trust us the way we trust you. does that not imply so much about how he's been living? not being able to trust anyone to have his back when he falls before this point?

also with april it's explicitly spelled out that she thinks she's a failure and a good-for-nothing and its not even implied that her only friend before she meets sunita is a creep that makes her uncomfortable and i very rarely see anything with her either. i don't think its a stretch to say that donnie and leo being prioritized so much can be motivated by bigotry, even if it's not intentional. i say this with all of the love and joy and kindness in my heart; they're a little overrated 😭 which i would be less sad about if the fanon versions of them didn't REVERSE THEIR INSECURITIES!!!!!!!
