As a Muslim and someone who has studied the religious history of Abrahamic faiths, I can say that this statement (“It is not racist to acknowledge that Islam is foundationally taken from Jewish texts and histories, which have been misinterpreted and abused to justify antisemitic violence. It is not racist to hold Islam accountable for the aspects of Manifest Destiny that pervade its evangelical arm.”) is completely wrong and Islamophobic for several reasons:
Twisting Islam’s Origins: Saying Islam is “taken from Jewish texts” is not just false, it oversimplifies the entire religion. Islam, like Judaism and Christianity, shares some stories and figures but is its own faith with the Qur’an as its source. Claiming it’s just a rip-off disrespects the entire foundation of Islam and its followers.
Blaming Islam for Antisemitism: Linking Islam to antisemitic violence is totally off base. Antisemitism comes mainly from European history—from the Inquisition to the Holocaust. Pinning it on Islam not only ignores the facts, it feeds into harmful stereotypes. There have been plenty of examples in history where Jews and Muslims lived in peace, like during the Golden Age of Spain.
Wrong Comparison with “Manifest Destiny”: Comparing Islamic missionary work (dawah) to “Manifest Destiny” is way out of line. Manifest Destiny was about colonization and land theft in the U.S., leading to the killing and displacement of Native Americans. Islam doesn’t have anything close to that—saying otherwise is just fear-mongering.
Islamophobia Wrapped Up: This whole argument is just a sneaky way of pushing Islamophobic ideas. It paints Islam as a violent, imperialistic religion, which is a racist stereotype. Blaming an entire faith for certain things is no different from holding all Christians responsible for the Crusades or colonialism—it’s ignorant and harmful.
Flat-Out Wrong History: Saying Islam “misuses” Jewish texts to justify violence is pure fiction. Sure, there’s been conflict in history, but Islam doesn’t teach or promote violence against Jews. This is just a lazy way to spread hate and fuel division.
In short, ur statement is just full of historical errors and prejudice, twisting facts to push an anti-Islam agenda. It’s not just wrong—it’s toxic and divisive.
it oversimplifies the entire religion. Islam, like Judaism and Christianity, shares some stories and figures but is its own faith with the Qur’an as its source.
And the Qur'an states that the Torah was corrupted, and positions itself as the correct version. Yes, it is an appropriation of our religious traditions. Acknowledging this is not Islamophobic, anymore than acknowledging the Crusades is Christophobic.
Linking Islam to antisemitic violence is totally off base.
No. This is another antisemitic canard, the idea that Muslims treated Jews well in the Middle East, known as the "happy dhimmi." It is a lie, Jews were always historically oppressed in Arab countries. Including the Golden Age of Spain.
Saying Islam “misuses” Jewish texts to justify violence is pure fiction
It is absolutely not fiction.
Manifest Destiny was about colonization and land theft in the U.S.,
I was using this term in an allegorical/figurative way, I was not saying it is the same exact thing. I was drawing parallels between Christian evangelism and Islamic evangelism.
It paints Islam as a violent, imperialistic religion
Islam, like Christianity, has a violent and imperialistic history. Judaism has its share of violent history as well. It is disrespectful to pretend otherwise.

progressive westerners rly seem to have a weird blind spot to islamic proselytism lol. like the attitude they have towards, lets say, christian or protestant missionaries is quite bad, and rightfully so. but oh im supposed to respect obvious, annoying, misogynistic and smug dawah because muslims are supposedly super fucking oppressed? nah man a secular society or organization or whatever doesnt and shouldnt fucking care about what the bible or whatever holy book you want to quote has to say about anything, it is atheistic by default. like i know im extreme abt it bc if it was up to me id straight up ban all kinds of public proselytizing but this is so fucking weird to me. in part i think its that westerners seem to be total shit at recognizing it when they see it and another part is prob westerners truly believing muslims are an oppressed group worldwide and letting it slide bc they feel bad for them uwu but come on this is kinda insane to see

Most people who moved to the West did not move for the sake of spreading the Deen and for the sake of Dawah. They moved for worldly gain and benefit. We also live in a globalized world where the internet makes it easy to spread the Deen of Allah, so you can still engage in acts of Dawah online to the West, as well as give Dawah in the country you decide to move to. Because believe it or not many Muslims are lost and misguided and need Dawah as well.
We aren’t even supposed to be living amongst the mushrikeen. People will make so many excuses to stay in the land of Kufr because they don’t want to make the scarifies that it takes to leave. Anything done for the sake of Allah will come with its set of challenges. Moving to a new country isn’t easy, but Muslims really need to think about their future, the future of their children and their progeny.
At this point even the kuffar who care about the upbringing of their children are leaving the West because of how corrupt it is in all levels of society. Yes, we should build our homes upon the Quran and Sunnah. But where you live makes a huge difference on your children.
Any Muslim who has understanding will do everything in their power to leave the filth of the west behind...

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
In shaa allah you are all in the best state of health and imaan. I am writing up this letter as naseeha for my beloved sisters, as I am noticing a trend nowadays where a new sisters owned dawah page will pop up at least once a week. Of course there is nothing wrong with wanting to spread dawah, it is of course one of the 4 principles of tawheed. However, the amount of compromising and lack of hayaa is very ironic. And concerning to say the least.
I trust that the intention of these sisters are pure and filled with motivation in wanting to convey the message. But remember dear sister, there are conditions and limitations one must follow. Did not Aaisha r. a give dawah behind a screen with her voice firm and her demenor strict? So why is it my dear sister you think it's "dawah" by constantly uploading personal images and captions onto your stories? Updating the world of your whereabouts? What you're having for dinner? Sharing memes and laughing with the world? My dear sister what is this?
Wallahi every sister who falls into this must be ashamed of themselves. A Muslimah is to be quiet, shy and reserved. When she is addressing those who aren't her mahaarim, she is firm in her voice and to the point. She understands that just because she may cover her entire
body, doesn't mean she still isn't vulnerable and susceptible to fitnah. Your hijab is also a concealment of your tongue and actions.
You're absolutely contradicting the purpose of your hijab when you cover yourself head to toe, black on black, no skin showing whatsoever, but you go ahead and expose yourself to your stories, giggling with strange brothers over nonsense, and sharing what kind of attar and abayas you love to wear.
Ya Allah, Allahu musta'aan. Have some humility dear sister. The Lord of all the Worlds is watching you and will hold you accountable. The next time you find yourself writing up a post about hayaa and hijab, look to yourself and ask, are you even applying the concept of that yourself? Have some sense dear sister.
Another common issue I'm also witnessing, is these arguments between brothers and sisters over a political issue pertaining to the deen. It's as if both parties have lost all sense of their dignity and hayaa. And you dear sister, are no better. Yes the man is responsible for himself, but you too are responsible. You dear sister, are responsible for entertaining such behaviour. As someone once stated, these men are not your mahaarim to care about your honour the way you value it.
And as for private messages, these sisters don't even realise it was them that opened that door to fitnah. You have no one to blame but yourself. Again, yes these brothers are responsible for themselves, but you are too. You made it known you were a woman and turned your so called dawah page into a funhouse, that invited all these men into your dms. Wake up to yourself seriously.
My biggest advice to every single sister who wishes to spread dawah, one, move to telegram as there is no communication whatsoever with anyone. You are able to completely turn off likes, comments which distract the heart and causes it to forget its intentions.
Two, do NOT make it known you are a sister. First of all, its not necessary and you're making the first mistake in sharing information that just isn't important to know. It is knowledge that does not benefit. And secondly, you become a hotspot for fitnah.
Enough with the attention seeking. You may not see it as that, but that's exactly what is happening. Basic fact and reality does not conceal your ignorance.
And thirdly, it's honestly better for you to remove yourself from these socials and start by seeking dawah yourself. Replace the time you'd put in to reply to messages and check who liked your posts with seeking knowledge. And not just seeking but implementing. In the long run, this is a far better option for you because at least you will have on your concious that you will enter your grave with absolutely nothing, but the knowledge that you prepared for it.
Please forgive me for my harsh bluntness, it is all out of frustration and concern for my dear sisters in Islam. I ask Allah to purify our intentions and forgive us for our shortcomings, may He increase us in knowledge, and may He not take our souls except when He is pleased with us.

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim (In the name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate)
(بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم)
…………….. do not make them runaway (from Islam) ~ Imam Bukhari 69.
From our July 2020 archives.
SAHIH BUKHARI HADITH NO. 69
Chapter 3 from THE BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE :~
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam).
Islam is simple, don’t make it complicated.
God intends for you ease.
The religion Islam is easy, beautiful and simply perfect. Why make things hard? The Qur’an reads: “Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship.” (Qur’an, 2:185)
This verse explains that Islam is easy to follow and rather encourages us to create ease in religion. Unfortunately some Muslims, including some reverts, are under the misconception that the more stringent they are in following religion, the more pious they become. This is totally in contradiction to what our religion teaches us. The misconception is a result of lack of understanding of religion and at times drives some people away from religion, mainly because of the way it is presented to them.
Some people have aimed at causing religion to deviate from its essence, preventing religion from being practiced by attempting to add on many difficult practices and superstitions to it. Such practices have sadly resulted in people deviating from Islam. However from the information set forth in the verses in the Qur’an and the replete stories and Hadiths by the Prophet (peace be upon him), we can ascertain that it is easy for sincere Muslims to be good Muslims.
Some groups of people in attempting to distinguish the reality of Islam ~ the genuine beauty, simplicity and practicality have tried a simple forum of reasoning but only have managed to get themselves labelled as deviants and sects, sadly.
Here at LEARNING ISLAM we try our utmost to keep it uncomplicated and easy as Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) did per his valued Sunnah. Sometimes a trapezoidal act but Alhumdulillah we seem to have been blessed and we are enamored to pass this blessing of dawah to each and everyone of you.
In this life we are tested and according to the morals and faith we show in this world and God determines where our real life will be lived, that being Hell or Heaven. The test is quite easy; God wishes for us to simply to live the life that brings happiness and peace in this world within the tenets of Islam. in short to live our life in moderation.
Don’t go to extremes dearest sisters & brothers 🙏

The Benefits, Lessons, Maksud, Virtues & Tafseer of Surah Al-Kaafiroon With Transliteration
This article is concerned with Surah Al-Kaafiroon. It starts with a brief introduction showing its place and time of revelation, the meaning of Al-Kaafiroon, and the other names of Sura Al-Kaafiroonn. It also discusses Surah Al-Kaafiroon translation, transliteration, Tafseer, and meaning in English, as well as its lessons and Benefits and Virtues of Surah Al-Kaafiroon
INTRODUCTION
Surah Al-Kaafiroon is a Makki Surah that was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) before Hijrah. It is one of the small Surahs of the 30th Juz’. It was revealed after Benefits and Virtues of Surah Al-Kafiroon.
‘Al-Kaafiroon’ is an Arabic word that means: the disbelievers. The Surah is named Al-Kaafiroon as it mainly teaches the Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) how to respond to the polytheists in Makkah, as we will further discuss in Surah Al-Kaafiroon Tafseer and Asbab-n-Nuzul.
Among the most interesting facts of Surah Al-Kaafiroon is that it is also named Surah Al-Ikhlas like Surah Al-Ikhlas (Qul howa Allahu Ahad). It was suggested that Surah Al-Kafirun is concerned with the Ikhlas of deeds [Purifying your deeds for the sake of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)] while Surah Al-Ikhlas is concerned with the Ikhlas of speech.
Why Was Surah Al-Kaafiroon Revealed (Asbab al-n-Nuzul)?
Surah Al-Kaafiroon was revealed in response to a group of polytheists who came to Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam), trying to convince him to leave parts of his religion and accept parts of their religion.
They tried to convince him in several ways; they offered to make him their king and get him married to the most beautiful women, where the prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) should give up his dawah to Islam in return.
They also offered him a deal to worship Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) for one year, and in return, The Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) would worship their idols the next year, which is completely insane.
Allah (Subhanhu wa Ta’ala) revealed Surah Al-Kafirun to teach the Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) and all Muslims how to respond to them.
What is The Maksud of Surah Al-Kafirun?
The Maksud of Surah Al-Kaafiroon is the declaration of innocence from shirk (associating partners with Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)) and Kufr [disbelief in Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)]. It clarifies that Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) is the One true God, and His religion -Islam- is the only true one, in which Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) wouldn’t accept any other. Any concessions in the religion of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) are not allowed, and that should be clear to every Muslim.
Each Muslim should be aware of the differences between his own belief and non-Muslims and ‘Al-Kaafiroon’ beliefs. There should be clear discrimination in order not to get confused.
Moreover, Muslims should declare their own identity without timidity or shyness unless they fear being harmed or tortured.
What Is Surah Al-Kaafiroon Translation and Transliteration in English (Verse by Verse)?
Surah Al-Kaafiroon is one of the smallest Surahs of the Holy Qur’an. It consists of only six short verses. 109 Surah Al-Kaafiroon doesn’t include the name of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) or any of His attributes.
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ Qul yaaa-ayyuhal kaafiroon Say, “O disbelievers,
لَآ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ Laaa a’budu maa t’abudoon I do not worship what you worship.
وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ Wa laaa antum ‘aabidoona maaa a’bud Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ Wa laaa ana ‘aabidum maa ‘abattum Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.
وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ Wa laaa antum ‘aabidoona maaa a’bud Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship
لَكُمْ ديىَنُكُمْ وَلِىَ دِينِ
Lakum deenukum wa liya deen For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.”
What Is Tafseer of And its Meaning in English (Verse by Verse)?
Surah Al-Kaafiroon Tafseer is so simple that its words are repeated. However, with different indications, as we will discuss in the following paragraphs.
A. Surah Al-Kaafiroon Tafseer Verse #1
‘Qul’ means “say,” a speech from Allah to prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam). Many surahs in the Quran started by ‘Qul’ as we previously discussed in Tafseer of Surah Al-Ikhlas, Tafseer of Surah Al-Falaq and Tafseer of Surah Al-Naas.
‘yaaa-ayyuhal kaafiroon’ means O those disbelieved. That’s the start of the message Allah taught Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) to tell Al-Kaafiroon. Al-Kaafiroon is a general word that refers to all non-Muslims who disbelieved and rejected Islam; the polytheists, the Christians, the Jews, the hypocrites … etc.
B. Surah Al-Kaafiroon Tafseer Verse #2
‘Laaa a’budu maa t’abudoon’ That’s a declaration of Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) and Muslims’ innocence of polytheism and disbelief. It means simply: I don’t worship (Now) what you worship.
C. Surah Al-Kaafiroon Tafseer Verse #3
‘Wa laaa antum’ aabidoona maaa a’bud’ means, and you (Kaafiroon) don’t worship what I worship. This shows that belief and disbelief couldn’t be mixed together and that there’s a clear discrimination between true religions and false ones.
This verse is repeated in verse number 5. However, it shows an added meaning.
D. Surah Al-Kaafiroon Tafseer Verse #4
‘Wa laaa ana ‘aabidum maa ‘abattum’ means: And I – Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) – wouldn’t, in the future, worship what you (Kaafiroon) worship.
Allah clarified that the polytheists’ negotiations with The Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) should be over. The verse indicates it is impossible for The Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) to accept any of their offers to give up calling to Allah’s religion or make concessions in any part of it.
E. Surah al-Kaafiroon Tafseer Verse #5
‘Wa laaa antum’ aabidoona maaa a’bud’ This verse appears the same as verse number 3. However, it has added meanings.
Firstly, it emphasizes the impossibility of accepting their false offers. As their offers were repeated, the verses were repeated to confirm the refusal and to deny any possibility of backing down.
Secondly, This verse indicates that al-Kaafiroon don’t perform worship as the prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) does, while verse number 3 indicates they don’t worship his God’ Allah.
F. Surah al-Kaafiroon Tafseer Verse #6
‘Lakum deenukum wa liya deen’ means for you (Kaafiroon) is your religion, and for me [Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam)] is my religion.
Some people falsely claim that this verse indicates freedom in accepting or rejecting Islam. However, this verse actually makes a clear discrimination between truthfulness and falsehood not to be mixed together in confusion. It is also a declaration of innocence of what
Kaafiroon (the disbelievers) worship other than Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala), making it clear that we don’t accept any of this Kufr or polytheism.
Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) said in the Holy Qur’an that Islam is the only religion accepted by Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala).
‘Certainly, Allah’s only Way is Islam.‘ (Holy Qur’an 3:19) ‘Whoever seeks a way other than Islam, it will never be accepted from them, and in the Hereafter, they will be among the losers.’ (Holy Qur’an 3:85)
What Are Lessons of Surah Al-Kaafiroon and Life Applications?
The lessons of Surah Al-Kaafiroon are too strong and beneficial. In the following few paragraphs, we will discuss some of them.
1. Appreciate and Announce Your Belief in Pride
Islam is the true religion of Allah, so a Muslim should be proud of his belief and declare it with no shame. A Muslim should know and acknowledge the differences between his belief and others’ beliefs and not to mix up the truth with falsehood.
2. Don’t Give Up your Religion (or part of it) for The Sake of Others.
Accepting deals or offers of concessions in Islam is not acceptable. Non-Muslims will try to negotiate with Muslims to give up parts of their belief or practice. However, a true Muslim should never acquiesce in their offers.
3. Surah Al-Kaafiroon Shows the Truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam)
Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) is the most honest and truthful. If by any means He (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) was a liar or aiming to achieve a higher position in Makkah by calling to Islam, he wouldn’t have rejected all these attractive offers to be their king, to get rich and to marry the best of their women.
What Are the Benefits of Surah Al-Kaafiroon
The benefits of Surah Al-Kaafiroon are various and numerous. Recitation of Surah Al-Kaafiroon before sleep is a declaration of freedom from ‘shirk’ (associating partners with Allah [(Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)], as Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) said. (Mishkat al-Masabih 2161)
Also, Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) used to recite it in the two Raka’ats of Tawaf, before and during Fajr Prayer, after Maghrib prayer, and at sleep.
It was also narrated that Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) said that Surah Al-Kaafiroon is equivalent to a quarter of the Holy Qur’an. ( Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2893)
Conclusion | What is The General Meaning of Surah Al-Kaafiroon?
The virtue of Surah Al-Kaafiroon is one of the great Makki Surahs that are worth proper understanding. Although it is only a few verses, it is a clear declaration of the oneness of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) and the truthfulness of Islam.
Surah Al-Kaafiroon has many lessons and benefits mentioned in Hadiths narrated in Sunnah. It teaches Muslims never to accept any concessions in their religion. It is also a declaration of innocence from shirk and Kufr. That’s why prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) recited it more often, day and night.

Help To Build The Islamic Center of Longmont The Islamic Center of Longmont is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit religious organization located in Longmont City, 40 miles North of Denver, in Colorado This Islamic Center will serve the five small towns in the area.
"The journey to fund the new Islamic Center in this small city is a story woven with heart, For years, the Muslim community longed for a place to call home—where children could grow and learn, where families could pray side by side. The dream of building an Islamic Center was not just about constructing a building; it was about creating a home—a place where the community could strengthen its bonds, share traditions, and pass on values to future generations.
The Challenge:
To make this vision a reality, we now face the task of renovating the building. Your generous donations will help complete this project and allow us to open our doors to the community soon, InshāʾAllāh.
