i dont know what to do with myself.

normally when i get stuck out here, im in what others say is a flash back, and i have to do icky stuff to make it go away, and by the time i do that, i pass out or lose touch with here again anyways.

today they told me to please at least try doing a thing they have been asking a few times and since i had already gotten up for other things before dealing with the ickies, i did that, and instead of having to feel icky for ages and then doing icky stuff, now I'm just laying here confused and not sure what to do.... I've never had time to exist outside without the icky feelings.... I don't know what to do with it....

I hate being a person who loves bugs, I can't say anything without the person I'm talking to reacting with disgust. Today I had to literally beg a coworker for the life of a spider, and then after I put it in a nook outside she thought it'd be funny to show me a video she took of her killing one. Like idk man. Birds scare the shit out of me but I still get why people love them. They come in pretty colors and they sound nice and they're interesting to observe. I don't understand why people don't feel the same about bugs. The rich amber color of a cockroach, the iridescent glow of a fly, the intricate hydraulics that power their little legs, the chirp of a beetle, the art of the spider's web... It's all so beautiful. Why is it the habit of so many to destroy?

#insects #entomology #to be clear i think its perfectly understandable that people have phobias #i would never force someone to look at or touch a bug if they didnt want to #but it almost seems like some enjoy killing tiny creatures #like hell. even if they play no part in transferring the bug they still want it dead #it just makes me sad. theyre such lovely little beasts its like watching someone kill a puppy to me

i think the real reason Lucanis has a coffee addiction is so the animators had an excuse to show just how good they are at making characters hold cups now.

like look at that. its not floating 6 inches away from his palms. it goes up and down with his hands. he's even got one hand on the handle itself! we've come so far since the hilarious joining chalice animation in Origins and Solas's cup of misery tea that floats 4 seconds behind his arm movements

#ffxiv #chattering #dawntrail #the amon thing is soooooo funny to me #to non ffxiv players: essentially there's a bug right now #where a Very Essential Mechanic just. doesnt work #said Very Essential Mechanic is important to shield players from an instakill raidwide attack #so the entire party is just immediately wiped #and unless you get the entire party of 24 strangers to work together #(let healers die first rez then wait to accept during instakill)#you literally can't finish the raid #this is one of the lowest level raids available btw.#its so funny to me
