I remember seeing images back in the day from a Japanese English textbook focused soley on how swearing and profanity work in English. It spread around a little because it contained many pictures of anime girls telling eachother to fuck off and calling things shit, but in otherwise weirdly formal English. I wish I could find it, but when I look it up none of the books that come up are the one I'm thinking of.

sorry if i come off a certain way with that last post, i just have a hard time believing in that sort of positivity on this space purely because of personal experience and just how this site can be
#for example being accused of being a rapist for being into fantasy sleep sex by someone who was outed as an actual animal abuser#or likewise being sent death threats for....uh watching anime they didnt like.#theres alot of other examples but i hope i get my point across and where the uncertainty comes from LOL
