oh all kinds of shit, but rn i'm up to my eyeballs in tokusatsu. i tend to jump from fandom to fandom depending on my current hyperfixations HSKDJGS

6. Which of your fics has the angstiest ending?

mmmm depends on your definition i think. if you include canon compliant events its def one of my danganronpa fics (a foreign still or light of the moon) but that feels boring to me SO i might say my most recent fic for kamen rider ex-aid (or just mine tonight) since it ends on kindof a sour note for the characters? im not sure tbh, as much as i love angst in a fic i tend to like happier or ambiguous endings.

7. Which of your fics has the happiest ending?

that's an easy one! my dimension 20: mentopolis fic (whale fall) was written before the finale and was my guess as to what would happen w one of the pairs of characters, and its very sweet and wholesome i think :3

8. Do you get hate on fics?

thankfully no!

9. Do you write smut? If so, which kind?

i do! i used to be terrified of it, but i think i've gotten better the more i write! i don't hold any bars on what kind of smut i'll write, either-- whatever the characters are workin with, i'll do it!! lmao

i used to! back when i wrote for achievement hunter i wrote an au where the fake AH crew were killjoys, like from gerard way's comics and the MCR album danger days :p i got uncomfy with RPF as i got older tho so those fics are all lost media now HSJGHJD

nope! not that i'm aware of anyways lol

not unless roleplay counts... i used to rp a certain anime with friends mostly as a joke in high school but we did try and write story-format roleplay a few times

i don't much care for it or the property anymore bc i've got some bad experiences tied to it, but i think the ship i've gone the most batshit over is probably jonmartin from the magnus archives. right now tho? definitely best match from kamen rider build <3

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

my magnus archives dnd au (write an anthem worth repeating), for aforementioned reasons of not feeling good about the source material anymore :( a shame bc i thought my writing in that fic was nice

16. What are your writing strengths?

i think i'm pretty good at characterization! i get a lot of comments saying i give good insight into how characters feel which is lovely to hear, bc thats what i like most about writing fanfic!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

PACING... AND PLOTS IN GENERAL... why do you think i only write one-shots!! 😭

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i don't trust myself enough to do it right... i write a lot of fic for japanese media so the most i'll do is use the japanese word for something that can't be translated (names of foods for example)

god probably warrior cats in like 3rd grade... on Ao3 tho it was achievement hunter, but those are gone like i said earlier </3

currently reading: Almost There: A Twisted Tale by Farrah Rochon; its about if Tiana from The Princess and the Frog took Faciliers deal instead, it’s really good and i’m only a few chapters in so far

last song: line without a hook by ricky montgomery ft. mxmtoon; i haven’t been listening to music as much lately but when i do i just put my liked spotify playlist on

last movie: guardians of the galaxy vol. 3!! highly recommend seeing the movie! it made me sob uncontrollably and the overall story just made me love the guardians more

last series: i just finished workin’ moms; so freaking hilarious and just today i finished a series called “the staircase” and it’s quite interesting, if you like crime documentaries, definitely give it a watch

sweet, savory, or spicy: i cant choose between the three! i don’t want them mixed up (unless if it’s kimchi from the kbbq place i frequent) but it just depends on my mood

craving: my vacation im going on in five days plus all the food i get to enjoy on said vacation

tea or coffee: coffee right now has taken over my life because of work and like i feel as i can’t live without it

currently working on: this (quite) sad drabble about homelander and like every time i go to work on it i get more sad and i’ve been trying to work on this eddie fic but i haven’t even wrote anything down for it

I am SO HAPPY YOU ASKED and have been WAITING for someone to do this because I have a lot of lists I can probably post right now, but no one asks for them so I don't post them. I'm at the end of my drafted posts that I have ready-to-post, and people usually ask for the same lists over and over so I guess people just don't think of all these that I have sorted on my own because DERP I DON'T TELL PEOPLE. I have lists Ready-to-go but no asks associated with them (second section) so those will be the best ones to ask for if you want to see them within a month or so.

Everything else in the Third Section, they're unsorted lists but I have more than 5 fics on those lists and would be willing to post them if you guys want them (I PREFER at least 10 fics per list, but again, I know people want me to consistently have posts, so may as well reveal what I've on-the-go), and all they require is me to double-check the links and then I can post them up.

Seriously, Lovely, this ask is wonderful because I've been sitting here wondering WTF to post these upcoming weeks as my "ready" lists have been dwindling, and I know that I still have some people who are still here for lists, so any way I can pre-prep lists will be great for me and my mental health, hah.

I am absolutely obsessed with the show time au! Its actually helping me power through my writing block for my fic and giving me new ideas to try out so thank you so much for sharing it with all of us! One of the ideas I currently have kicking around (but won’t work in my fic sadly) is y/n being a character in the show, but i was thinking more moon based? Either someone who comes our at the end to signal the episode being at its conclusion or just a once in a while guest. I guess the idea of jack calling us sun related names when Joseph’s original love interest was more moon related is funny, but also a little sad. I would love if you have anymkre thoughts to add to this!

Joseph's Y/N embodying the serene calming presence of the moon would've been just the sort of thing he needed in his life. With the stress of his job and whatever past he was running from they would be his safe space to nust be.

And it really is bittersweet thinking of Y/N potentially reminding Jack of Joseph's own love interest on a subconscious level. Doubly so when you consider what happened with his death and the NDA everyone had to sign.

Not only was he dead but Joseph's Y/N never got to give him a funeral or even talk about him.

All that angst is why I'm glad the 84 incident never happens in Showtime AU.

Hey, hope your day is going well so far :) I saw that you reblogged the post to ask about your stories earlier so uh what’s going on with your stories? D’you have anything interesting you’re working on/avoiding working on?

i currently have 2 stories im workin on at the moment. one is a fic im writing bout the stuff my character is doing after the campaign ended. its still in its 1st draft stage and still needs to be finished. im around halfway thru writing it. i want to finish it while im still on summer break otherwise i wont have time to work on it for another year and i probably wouldnt want to finish it at that point. the 2nd story im workin on is actually almost done. it just needs a couple more edits and then i'll be able to share it :D. its a backstory fic for my zombie character and explains the things that happened right after they were created. i dont think my writing is decent enough to share on tumblr yet, so they'll be discord only fics for right now. i do have plans to post some of my recent aet on tumblr. i just have to remember to do so the next time im at my computer lol

2. jsgshsgsj no penalty its just especially with the fic playlists they work best in order bc they coincide with the chapters/story arc. the non fic playlists i just think theyre better in order in terms of vibes but in the grand scheme of things it really doesnt matter that much lol

Both actually! if you try to comment on the plot or react to an actor, immediately you get rudely shushed with the most scorching glare because how DARE you, focus on the ~ART~ you heathen!!! but also the Moment a slightly more advanced special effect takes place, he is all hoppin on his seat excitedly explaining how it’s done and how genius that is, how would he improve on it and how another movie dealt with it, the dialogue for the big plot reveal goin on the screen be damned :’D Also as the movie advances, he starts gettin more and more into long passionate rants either complaining about the lack/surfeit of respect the creators got, how arrogant this one actor is and how he doesnt respect his cues and so on….. lots of the stuff he says is actually pretty interesting but yeah, if you counted on just enjoying the movie, tough luck

He really likes watchin movies with people but prefers to see the movie first on his own at least once, to really focus on it. Often, he will watch a movie in the livin room while others do their own thing and he will comment on the good scenes, however if you agreed to actually watch somethin with him and got distracted during screening or worse, was on your phone?? you are dead to him. (and you can expect some …unpleasant surprises in the upcoming days)

☾ - sleep headcanon

Beck is the UGLIEST sleeper, he is the worst. He snores loudly, drools, moves, KICKS, mumbles and has the most vivid wildest dreams. (it happens rarely but sometimes he’ll dream about somethin, wake up and for a while be convinced it actually happened, you know like when you dream about arguing with your friend and being mad at them the next day etc) On the other hand, sometimes, all his features relax, he loses the scowl and looks surprisingly peaceful and happy… oh and he hogs the blanket.

His sleep schedule is a fuckin mess, he is able to go like the whole week on few hours of sleep total when he is workin on a project but other days he gets grumpy if he doesnt get his 10h of beauty sleep every night..

★ - sad headcanon

uhhh i dont actually have much sad stuff for this boy yet, he brings me so much joy that i dont have the heart for that :’’’D (also i like him and chameleon team ups and Dmitri brings enough angst to the table for the both of them)

He really actually died that one time and went to hell (though in Patchwork, im not gonna keep everythin about that Daredevil plot, i really like Mysti being dangerous and actually a worthy opponent but most of it was too fucked up for my tastes…) and well… it wasnt great :’D it mostly targeted his insecurities about his own talent he buried so deep he almost stopped believing them, the lack of respect and recognition and him willingly throwing away any chance he had at those by becoming Mysterio and of course everything that happened with his ex Brick Johnson…

☠ - angry/violent headcanon

he doesnt have a hair trigger temper like Ock or Electro but Damn does this boy holds grudges over literally everything :’D lots of overcomplicated, carefully crafted revenge plots just for eating the last yogurt in the fridge… He gets frustrated easily, getting snappy and rude, especially if people are not listening to him, but it’s often about the pettiest things, the bigger stuff doesnt affect him as much.

He doesnt enjoy violence for the sake of violence but he is not above it either, everythin is allowed for his big performance…… he can be quite a good n friendly boss if you listen to his orders and work well but can just as much set you up to die in an explosion, all while smiling and patting you on the back…

✿ - Sex headcanon

my Mysterio is gay as hell but also somewhere on the ace spectrum… not sex-repulsed but definitely not a high drive either (he feels oddly smug about that, like look at those fools trying to get into each others’ pants, how pathetic, *I* in the meantime have time for things that Truly matter, like recreating every Xmen battle ever with only straws and gum.)

■ - Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

listen, i basically grew up on those “the entire villain team lives in a single place - shenanigans ensue” fics so im not givin up on the Sinister Six HQ, okay. (Chameleon usually finds them a suitable house with enough rooms, as luxurious as their current fonds allow, and he prides himself in putting in lil personal touches that he knows the sin six members would enjoy, for Quentin it’s often very obscure movies, rare memorabilia from his favorite ones, stuff for his illusions, a stolen Oscar…)

When these are unavailable (aka superheroes got them busted) or when he aint in the middle of a crime job, he usually stays at one of the Cham’s safehouses (with or without him) and in a few of them, he already has his own dedicated room with some of his fav old tricks on display. Speakin of which, he has a BIG warehouse with most of his setups and stages or at least models. He doesnt really plan on reusing them but he likes having them all together

♡ - romantic headcanon

((jakjgkfajga im a loser and ended up shippin him with Chameleon and everythin i’ve thought off so far is EMBARRASSING AND CHEESY AS FUCK :’’’’D so im gonna leave those for another time))

Beck being an Extra Bitch he is, lives for the Big Romantic Gestures like in the movies and he often gets so caught up in the prep he.. kinda disregards the person he was makin it for, the making of the effect means more for him than the actual sentiment behind it…

(ok maybe One mysteleon hc, while it pains him, Quentin knows Chammy Would Not Enjoy being a target of such grand display… he gotta be more subtle, creating a scene where he could play in disguise and dupe some superheroes mayhaps…)

♥ - family headcanon

like 99% of the villains and their grandma, his family wasnt great, mum left when he was very young with another guy, his dad considered his passion for movies a great waste of time and let lil Quentin know how disappointed he was at every occasion both vocally and physically.. After the first few broken models and ripped tapes with stop animations that took weeks to complete, Quentin stopped tryin to impress and convince his father about the greatness of special effects.. He joined a boxing club and learnt some other martial arts but as soon as he could, he left to join a proper film school which led to his father dropping both financing and all contact with him.

☮ - friendship headcanon

Im not even gonna start about Chameleon’s and Mysterio’s friendship because that shit is canon and i cry about it on a daily basis.

Despite his penchant for Dramatics, the constant Need for Validation and Backstabbing and other Throwing Shit in the Fan just cuz it was narratively better, Quentin actually has quite a few friends? He gets along quite well with everyone from the Sin Six and many other villains and even has some ‘normie’ pals from the film industry or just neighborhood…

One of his most surprising is actually Doc Ock with whom he gets along even outside of business partners/partners in crime basis. Though maybe not so surprising, Mysterio is quite vocal with his praises when he feels like they are deserved and Doc as well actually admires and recognizes Beck’s talent while it is still enough specific for him not to feel threatened in his superiority (once he tried to improve them and show them to Quentin with his usual arrogance and flair and that was the biggest fight they ever had and they werent on speaking terms for a loooong while after that… Oct cant stand not having the last word so he still modified some of Mysterio’s tricks even after that but he actually cares about their friendship enough to not tell Mysti about it.. Not like he would ever admit that to Quentin’s fishbowl face)

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

like 99% of everythin Mysti does is Somehow related to special effects/film or the Drama in general but my boy is a nerd in general, theater, books, comics, manga, roleplaying games, you name it. He especially likes flashy stuff obviously.

He really enjoys learning new techniques and figuring out how to make something happen. When he was younger, he was viciously against CGI but later he started to sorta respect it as its own category that needs talent and effort… he still prefers to use the traditional techniques of course :’D (…as traditional as HYPNOTIZING PEOPLE WITH NEURAL GAZ IS)

☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon

He has a very Complicated relationship with the film industry……. on the one hand, he loves the behind the scenes, the rush, the Action…. but on the other hand, he hates it with a fiery passion, everythin from how you get treated like dirt and the pretentious prizes being awarded just for the Big names and hollywood and everythin turning around the money an-…., he has a very long list and it is alphabetized. (While he has a point for many of those complaints, the fact HE himself never got any pretentious award remains probably the main issue…)

he absolutely despises people making fun of D-grade shitty movies in the “this shitty horror is so cheesy and dumb it’s funny and i love it” way, either because the people workin on it were good and trying their best but the money or the producers etc ruined it (his experience) and then it’s an unfair critique or because the creators just didnt try hard enough and that’s even worse in his books and this movie should not get Any Attention much less a positive one..

he likes complaining and being snarky :’D he enjoys the challenge Spidey sets for them and loves playing tag with him (even when he loses..) He loves the prep before his big shows both alone or with help, the adrenalin when actually pulling it off and when he discusses it with Cham in details. He lives for the applause and recognition and ~Fame~

Like with sleep, it oscillates wildly. He can forget to eat when he is hypefocusin on a particular project (one single chip suffices as nourishment) or he just subsides on ramen for a month but on the other hand he is quite a capable cook. Nothing Extraordinary but he can make enough diverse simple meals. When livin with Chammy, they both enjoy eating out so they do that as much as the budget allows (so not that much, illusions arent cheap…)

im still thinkin about that one post that described Quentin as a “toenail of a man” and i couldnt agree more :’D very short, pig nose, hairstyle à la Spock, stocky built and weirdly beefy, like this guy’s thigh is bigger than some heads… (for a nerd he is surprisingly strong what the fuck)

he actually isnt….. that great of an actor nor director nor creator………………….. (im sorry baby i love you but it’s tru….) he unconsciously copies a lot of stuff he has seen elsewhere, he follows overused tropes, his work is packed with cliches and cheesy over the top pathos… his special effects mastery n creativity with workin out his illusions is absolutely INCREDIBLE dont get me wrong, it’s just… the plot/ideas…….. at first he lived in denial about this still believing 100% his work is Wonderful and Perfect and he is just a misunderstood author… later he decided to embrace it and he is livin the life now :D

Title: Dear Gravity (3/?) Fandom: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Pairing: Akira Otoishi x Rohan Kishibe Rating: Teen (for now?) Summary: It’s dangerous living among the stars. You might just find yourself caught in the gravitational pull of a black hole. * A spin-off of “Morioh Hi-Fi” where we get a peek at what unfolds between these two drama kings. AN: Yooo this chapter comes with some illustrations... hope you enjoy. EDIT: I reworked the texting scene a little bit after it was pointed out that it was similar to another fic. Look, long distance flirting in the 00s was limited, okay. :p

Never in his life had Akira been so reluctant to leave for a tour. Usually he was absolutely itching to leave Morioh and the low-key lifestyle of his hometown... Ready to travel to new places, dine in new restaurants, meet new people, learn a few new tricks in the bedroom.

But now there was this strange gravitational pull of having an actual crush… the lure of feeling like a normal twenty-something for once.

(Although, he supposed, pining for someone far away was also pretty normal for a twenty-something to do.)

So, as his current time in town began to wind down, he did what he always did and made vague promises with all of his fair-weather friends to hang out in a few weeks when he got back. But this time, he also set something in concrete: He set a meeting with his artist to check in on the album art project immediately upon his return.

“You don’t get to slack off just ‘cause I’m going out of town,” Akira had winked, leaning on the table where they’d met for lunch one afternoon.

Rohan finished his sip of boba tea and scoffed. “What, you don’t trust me?”

“I just know how flaky artists are.”

“I’m going to be working on it every day.”

“Alright, then I expect daily updates through texts.”

Rohan just rolled his eyes.

In retrospect, Akira kind of wished he hadn’t even joked about it; because sending daily updates seemed like exactly the sort of thing Rohan would do of his own volition, but he definitely wasn’t going to do it now that Akira had brought up the idea.

And because of this, after Akira finished his set on his first night on tour, he was surprised to see that there was in fact a text message from the artist waiting for him.

He quickly removed his stage clothes and wiped his face off with a towel – streaking it with sweat and makeup – and then retreated to the privacy of his tour bus to read the message. He sat down on the edge of his bunk and opened it.

Hey.

Huh. It was really unlike Rohan - he was rarely the first to text, and never without some pretense of business. Akira frowned a little bit, hoping nothing was wrong.

Hey. Sry for the late reply. Workin hard at the office, u know. Whats up

He tossed the phone onto his bed, then stripped out of the white tank that he’d worn under his stage clothes, preparing for an early bed time. As he stood stretching out his sore muscles, the phone chirped again with a reply.

Out withthe boys how did show go

Akira tilted his head. This wasn’t how Rohan wrote, either. His usual attention to grammar and syntax seemed to be out the window. So, he was out with the boys, eh…?

U party animal. Raising hell in morioh tonight? Painting the town red?

Akira sat back on the bed and tugged off his leggings before settling in comfortably. He had a feeling that messing with a tipsy Rohan was going to consume the rest of his night.

The phone went off again surprisingly quickly, and Akira quirked a brow at the multi-media message he received.

He smiled a bit at the image, willing himself not to have any impure thoughts.

Looks like fun! guess its ok u took the night off from workin on my album cover. As long as u have a drink for me~

Your damn cover is gonna get done, ass. But fine im ordering a bees knees just for you

Akira grinned. Ah, Rohan and his fancy drinks. He was just so, so...

Ur cute kishibe, u know that?

His stomach twisted a little as he hit send. It was admittedly a bit forward of him, and up to this point he’d been trying to play somewhat coy...

OTOISHI YOUCANT SAY SHIT LIKE THAT

This time there was a rather long pause between messages, so Akira shifted anxiously in his bed, folded his arms under his head, and ignored a call from another friend who had been at the show that night. Finally:

Akira blinked at the message, then sat up a bit. As he pondered what exactly this meant, Rohan scrambled to clarify.

Sorry i didnt mean it like that like in a bad way

Youre a grown man you canflirt with whoever yiou want

It would not be a bad thing just weird

Akira pursed his lips, drew up his shoulders, and frowned at the device in his hands. It chimed again.

Look otoishi i didnt mesn to imply that u were flirting or that u even WANT to. Im just saying hypothetically. It would be fine. I wouldnt mind or anything.

Ok. Noted. So what’s the verdict, am i allowed to call you cute or not?

Another long stretch of time passed.

Akira chuckled deviously to himself as he got comfortable in the bed, pushing the sheet down dangerously low on his torso. He was going to have to make this good -- fortunately, he was pretty experienced in the art of flirtatious selfies. He stretched his arm out and angled the phone downwards, snapping several photos with slightly different poses and facial expressions. Then he eagerly clicked through them, carefully choosing the one he deemed sexiest, and hit send with a little thrill rising up inside of him.

Akira dropped the phone and hooted with laughter. Shit, Rohan always got him laughing, even (or especially) when he wasn't trying to. He wiped a tear from his eye and lay back onto the bed, tapping his thumbs lightly on the tiny keyboard as he tried to come up with a response.

That was all it took for sadness to blossom in Akira's chest. He was certainly disappointed that he wasn't around to crash this little Guys' Night Out. Not to mention that it was getting harder and harder for him to have spontaneous nights out like that in his own life. And that he probably couldn't do public karaoke with Rohan without taking all of the attention.

Suddenly, living his life's dream seemed more like an inconvenience than anything else.

He knew he was being stupid... knew he'd done a great many things already thanks to his career that he ought to be grateful for. But right now, in this moment, he allowed the self-pity.

Maybe when I get back we can make it happen?

True to his word, Rohan didn't respond to the message, and Akira amused himself by wondering what song the artist may have chosen to perform. Was he belting out more emo lamentations, like when he'd sung for Akira in his studio? Or had he perhaps agreed to sing something dark and edgy with Yuya Fungami? Maybe he'd chosen one of his obscure favorites from the 50s to show off how mature and refined he was. Or maybe he was singing some poppy love song to let out his feelings for a friend who couldn't be there.

Akira felt his eyelids growing heavy as the seconds ticked on, and he typed out another message before giving in to sleep.

Im sure u kicked ass tonite. U owe me a karaoke date now btw. But im probly gonna pass out so talk tmrrw. Miss ya kishibe. get home safe

He silenced his phone and (somewhat reluctantly) settled in for sleep. With fond thoughts of his crush and the promise of a lifestyle that he felt he'd been missing out on, he went under quickly and deeply, not even stirring as the tour bus roared to life and began its trek onward to the next city.

When he eventually came-to the next day, the road was still moving beneath him, and sounds from another compartment of the bus let him know that his two touring bandmates had made it back last night. He felt a little guilty that he hadn't hung out with them after the show; but they had seemed to understand his complaints of struggling to switch into “tour mode,” and so he didn't sweat it too much. He'd just buy them drinks tonight, or dinner, or lapdances, or whatever the hell they wanted.

He sat up with a yawn, a stretch, a satisfying crack of the back and wondered what time it was. He reached out to check his phone, and then immediately brightened at the alert that he had several messages waiting for him.

Uhh holy shit ewho taghtt these toddlers how to have a goodt ime?? Just kidding itwas me. Im like a godamn da d to these idiotsl. Like a party dad.

Oh uore probalby asleep but were going home nowl. Im gonna elt them crash at my place bc party dad. Hirose is like party mom hes gonna ahelp get every1 therin one piece.

Akira cackled and wiped his eyes. God, he was definitely going to have to call Rohan the Party Dad forever after this... What good fortune that his friend was so utterly uninhibited when he got some alcohol in his veins.

With a content little sigh, Akira went on to read the messages that were time stamped from earlier that morning.

So... Okay. I've just woken up and looked through my messages from last night and I'm mortified. I completely understand if you no longer wish to work with me in a professional capacity, and that is your prerogative. Though there is no excuse

Apparently, Rohan had hit his character limit, and the message continued on in another text -

for my behavior, I urge you to consider the circumstances. I was attempting to console a friend during a difficult time, and in the process overindulged in alcohol, thus putting me in a state of mind where I did not fully consider the

consequences of my actions. I deeply regret that you were among those who were subject to my inappropriate behavior last night. Kindly delete any messages and images you may have received, and we can discuss how to move forward.

I appreciate your discretion in this matter. Sincerely, Kishibe Rohan

By the time he had finished Akira was kicking in his sheets, howling with laughter, tears streaming down his cheeks. Amazing. Rohan was somehow even more hysterical after getting sober. This was priceless; Akira made sure to save this apology letter to his protected messages before writing back.

Good morning kishibe rohan! Hows yr head feeling?Ur right I am very disappointed in u. After all u did not send me any more photos like I asked. Guess we can still work together though.

The reply came incredibly fast. Akira wondered if Rohan had been staring at his phone all morning in suspense.

God, I am so, so sorry about last night.

My man ur fine. It was fun texting with party dad. I rly gotta meet him next time im in morioh cho.

There was a long pause, which of course meant Rohan was panicking.

He stood from his bed, resigned to actually starting his day, and began to look for something to wear, his mind wandering elsewhere. He would certainly have to give Rohan some well-deserved hair-tousling when he returned home, and he didn't mind the excuse for physical contact. Still, though, there was one thing that tugged at the back of his mind...

Rohan had written, in his very meticulously worded message, “you were among those who were subject to my inappropriate behavior.” It was almost a throw-away line, but Akira couldn't help but wonder who else Rohan had been texting.

The ex that he was hung up on? Perhaps someone else that was filling the romantic void in his life...?

Akira frowned as he finished tugging on his jeans. He knew he was being dense, but...

Get any numbers last night? Guys like u dont stay single too long, right?

Man, that was not what he was supposed to say. He was supposed to say he was over it and ready to get back on the prowl for someone new to share a bed with.

...But this also wasn't how Akira was supposed to feel about the whole thing. He hadn't been in a proper relationship in ages; it had even been a while since he'd pretended that whatever “alt model” he'd been sleeping with for a few weeks was anything more than a fling. Point being: he wasn't supposed to care what this nowhere-nobody-part time artist was doing. He was Akira Otoishi, up and coming rockstar, one of this year's “Artists to Watch” in Alternative Press, Rolling Stone, and Kerrang. He was supposed to be living it up and getting his dick wet and not hanging out alone on his tour bus, giddy about text messages from a colleague, for Christ's sake.

He clicked his tongue, anxiously tapped his heel on the ground for a moment before ultimately tossing the phone back onto his bunk and opening the partition to where his bandmates were hanging out.

Maybe being a normal 24-year-old wasn't all that great. Maybe he'd dodged a bullet, after all.

“Good morning, princess,” the drummer called out as he entered, “Nice of you to finally join us!”

“Shut up,” he retorted, crossing over to the small breakfast nook. “I needed my beauty sleep. Otherwise you two schmucks would be out of a job.”

“Fair enough.” The other raised his hands in defeat. “But now you should be all caught up on sleep. So you better come out with us after tonight's show.”

Akira grinned. “Can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be.”
