With a strength and speed Sanji wasn't expecting, Usopp slammed both of Sanji's wrists against the wall.

Before Sanji could say anything, before he could even take another breath, Usopp surged down to his neck and bit him.

Sanji was about ready to kick him away, regardless of Usopp's current state, and fuming about being caught up in some stupid prank, when he felt the first suck.

youruser alpine ❤️ all 4 years that i’ve spent in formula 1 have been spent at this team and i now call everyone at the headquarters, garages, and races, family. thank you to everyone who’s made an impact to my life in any kind of way no matter how big or small, i appreciate it more than you will ever know. @estebanocon, thank you for being the best teammate i could ever ever everrrr ask for, you have grown with me and taught me so so many things. we’ve shared more laughs than probably any other teammates and moving to different teams will definitely not stop that.

there’s still the rest of the year until the end of this era and i know we’ll make the most of it. i’ll always remember alpine as the team that brought me in and made me the woman that i am today. the end of this season will definitely be tough but if it wasn’t sad then it would mean there was nothing to miss.

This movie has so mach sex and nudity, why? Why would you need something like this in a poto movie? You had no decent plot so you went “Well… Let’s put some sex and some tits, but also dicks (we can’t let the women feel left out), people love it!”

This is not a poto adaptation, it retains basically nothing from its original, they could’ve called it something else and it would have still worked.

one thing (which is coming up Bigly wrt this Issue) that has continued to bother me is something ive noticed about an uncomfortable number of people's lack of emotional intelligence (? idk how else to say it but i feel thats not quite it) specifically their apparent refusal to take peoples intentions into account when theyre analyzing interpersonal conflicts.

like okay to give an example thats not related to IPV. (and yeah i know this subreddit is a far cry from an outstanding example of healthy human emotion and social mentality etc etc etc lmao but bear with me)

there was this one post on the AITA subreddit not too long ago that was basically like "i want a child free wedding. teenagers are okay. all of my niblings are 13+ except for my sister's baby who is a baby, like <18mo. all my niblings are thus invited except my sister's baby. my sister is refusing to come to my wedding if she cant bring her kid. my entire side of the family is in a tizzy about it. i wont budge. AITA for getting mad at my sister for turning this into a huge thing?"

and the replies were all like "yes you're the asshole, an invitation isnt a summons sweatie [one of their fave lines lmao] ;)))) uwu you invited her but she doesnt HAVE to come!" like okay yeah thats fine and dandy if she doesnt want to come lmfao but the issue is that the sister is clearly not UNWILLING to go to the wedding, she very much WANTS to go to the wedding but insists on bringing her baby, and her entire family is coming down hard on the bride ON THE SISTERS BEHALF for not making this exception, its not just that shes declining to come its that shes using her whole fukcing family as leverage to pressure the bride into making this allowance!!!! shes not ACTUALLY refusing to come, she has every intention of eventually coming once the bride inevitably caves bc of course she will. Shes fucking clearly being petulant because she's depending on the bride folding and the bride wont, and thats why everyone is upset! at the bride and not at the sister for being stubborn as a mule and making the whole thing about her and her damn baby instead of letting it go and accepting that shes gonna be staying at home !!!!

idk if this even makes any sense at this point lmao its 3am but just like. the insistence that everything happens in a vacuum and we all act according to free will and there are never any external social pressures on us influencing what we are and are not willing to tolerate when dealing with other people. its all just so fucking frustrating idk lmao !!!!

I feel spoiled for kudos in that I still get e-mail notifications for kudos at least once a week even though I've barely posted in years. But I want to echo the importance of comments here because I think there's a drought on those especially right now.

And before I start, trust me - I understand not wanting to comment or interact due to low social spoons or anxiety. I get it. I'm like that too from time to time. Internet people can be weird and scary and you don't know how well something you write will be received. If this is something you struggle with, rest assured this next part is not for you.

If you DO have the spoons to show love to a fic though, here are some ideas for fantastic comments you could leave on your favourite fics that will make the authors whole day:

One rambling run-on sentence about how much you love the fic that continues on for like 4-5 lines

Just a list of your favourite lines or moments from the chapter copy/pasted with "omg" "lolol" or keysmashes following each one (my personal favourite kind of comment 💜)

empathetic and supportive comments when the author mentions real life stuff in the chapter notes. Us fic authors love to forget our real-world obligations and/or mortality and will post from our deathbeds/while in active labour/on our wedding days, so we appreciate the love!

However, I would try to avoid:

unsolicited feedback or criticisms on the story content

pointing out spelling/grammar mistakes (unless the author asks for them or is still learning the language they're writing the story in (but still ask for consent first!!))

making predictions on how the story will go from here (it can mess up our writing process and how people will receive the fic - if you're right then it looks like we're just pulling ideas from the comments which can come across as lazy, and if you're wrong then you and others may be disappointed when it doesn't go your way. Try to keep theorycrafting to yourself - it'll be more rewarding if it DOES go the way you predict and you can just go "I knew it!!" when it does)

complaining about overused tropes - they're overused because people like them, that's why there's fifty billion coffee shop AU fics after all

complaining that the evil characters act like bad people with broken morals - why are you even here

asking for updates, pointing out how long its been since there's been an update, or complaining about the lack of updates. We Do This For Fun And For Free And We Have Lives (tm)

asking for or demanding smut/NSFW content. I haven't exactly had this happen but if you want smut of your ship I'm certain there are other fics to service those needs for you

Nothing ever happens-style comments on fics. Ex. I once got a bookmark on one of my fics lambasting me for my self-insert OC, saying that someone like her isn't realistic and doesn't exist, when she was heavily based on me (a real person) and my real life experiences. Yep.

honestly complaining that something isn't realistic in general. Its fiction??? If I wanna put a magic skeleton on the freaking moon I'm gunna do it yo

So yeah, if you can comment there's a bunch of ideas for you on some great comments you can make, and some things to avoid. Keep it positive and constructive and you can really make a fic author's whole day :D

Is leaving kudos on fanfics not common courtesy anymore?

Something I've noticed on AO3 in the last two years is the lack of kudos and comments left on fanfics.

Fanfics have an increasing number of hits, but their kudos and comments remain minimal.

I understand that leaving comments is daunting, but kudos is the easiest thing you can do to show support and appreciation for an author.

Part of me wants to blame BookTok and the commercialized consumption of books.

Readers are more demanding and impatient for content, but they're quick to move on once a book is published. It's a constant demand for 'More, more, more' without appreciating and/or supporting authors. And these readers are now getting into fanfic.

I don't want to complain because it's not productive. But if you're new and getting into fanfic: Support writers.

Support means leaving kudos on AO3, and if you're able, leaving a comment. It's simple courtesy.
