5 Inspirational Entrepreneur Quotes to Keep You Inspired Through 2019
Entrepreneurs are all of the buzz lately. Put on a television station like CNBC or visit any of the top tech or news sites online, and you will likely come across a whole set of new entrepreneurs that you’ve never heard of — yet are likely on their way to making millions of dollars or creating new technology that could change the world.
The truth is — entrepreneurs are inspiring other entrepreneurs all the time!
As a great, we often aren’t jealous of each other, and instead learn and congratulate others for what they have accomplished. Just like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates used to battle it out and “steal” from companies like IBM, it’s all about who can create the best product for their customers, and build a revolutionary and world changing brand.
To keep the inspiration alive and well, here are some of the best entrepreneur quotes to keep you striving for even more success in 2019.
You Must Step Outside Your Comfort Zone to Find Business Success
Everyone wants to be an entrepreneur, but only a few have what it takes to put in the blood, sweat and tears to make such a difficult life change. Along with the many benefits of having your own business, there are many stressors and responsibilities as well. It’s one thing to want to start a business of your own, it’s another to actually go through it.
The important thing to remember during this process, is that you are ultimately responsible for your own successes and failures as an entrepreneur. This can all be summed up into an entrepreneur success quote quite well.
“Rich people think big. Poor people think small.” – T. Harv
T. Harv Eker is a personal success trainer, author of “The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” and helps people overcome their fears and succeed, eventually. With many entrepreneurs having partnership and potential failure as one of their biggest fears, learning from his own stories of success and failure is a great way to prepare for your own.
YOU are the Business YOU Create. Do your match your brand?
The internet has completely changed the way someone can build a brand or business on the internet these days. Anyone can grow a following on social media, start a blog, or even run affiliate marketing offers and make money from the comfort of their own.
A perfect example of this can be seen through the massive success that Gary Vaynerchuk has seen over the years. He’s always had that entrepreneur spirit and was driven for success, but his only following and brand wasn’t given to him. Yes, he did have WineLibrary and got to grow his parent’s retail wine business, but he leveraged that and did much more.
The key takeaway here is that Gary is Gary… and the way he acts, is how he’s always been. This can all be summed up nicely in a quote from him below.
“You have to understand your own personal DNA. Don’t do things because I do them or Steve Jobs or Mark Cuban tried it. You need to know your personal brand and stay true to it.” – Gary Vaynerchuk
As someone who has been in the industry for more than 20 years now, I can tell you there are many ways to make money online. Some are perfect, legit, and professional — while others are downright scammy, illegal, and wrong. I’ve personally always went with the path of running my business right and being able to sleep at night.
Can the same be said about your brand and how others might see your business or marketing practices online?
Without a Dream or Passion… is there really a point?
Why do most people want to have a business of their own, or become an entrepreneur? Often times, it’s because they don’t want to work for someone else, and are willing to put in even more hours and lead a more stressful (yet rewarding) life to get what they want.
This ultimately comes down to the individual dreams and passions that many of us have.
If you’ve ever had a chance to read about Walt Disney and his path to eventually creating Disney, it’s quite the wild ride. After multiple failures and leveraging a whole world of debt, he finally found massive success with Snow White. In the end, he was following his dream and aiming for what was important for him.
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” -Walt Disney
Today, Disney is one of the most well-known brands in the world today. They’ve even gotten so big and successful, that they’ve been able to acquire the Marvel and StarWars brands. Today, Walt Disney is still a huge inspirational to millions around the world today.
Your Success and Business isn’t Just About YOU
As entrepreneurs and business owners, there are many benefits and perks that come along with it. However, when you get to benefit from these perks in life, it’s often better to share with others who are less fortunate — and more rewarding at the same time.
This not only applies to entrepreneurs, but pretty much everyone in the world. It’s great to get fun and cool things in life, but that is only momentarily. When you start helping others, then you really get to benefit from your own actions.
This is also something that many bloggers, site owners, and entrepreneurs get to experience daily when they create a product or service that helps change the lives of others. This is just a perfect reminder that the best businesses in the world serve a purpose, and aren’t just to make a quick buck.
“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.” – Mandy Hale
Many Hale started off as a personal blogger, and is now a New York Times best-selling author. Through her content and messages to people around the world, not only has she been able to make a brand and business for herself, she’s also been able to inspire and help millions as well.
This is Your Only Chance and You Only Have One Life!
Time is a scary thing. It’s something you can’t get back, and something you can never buy more of.
Just take a look at Steve Jobs. He was worth mega-billions, but he also didn’t have the best of health at the end of his life. His time was up, and money couldn’t do anything for him.
While he did change the way the world uses mobile devices and the technology around, he also wasn’t known as the nicest person. He did change the world… but if he could look back at life again, would he do it the same way?
Marie Forelo has a nice quote that can relate to this, and many more of us in different ways.
“There has never been and never will be another you. You have a purpose – a very special gift that only you can bring to the world.” – Marie Forleo
In short, this is the life you live and before you know it… your time will be up too.
Whether it’s for personal pleasure, business goals, or simply finding a new direction and meaning in life — keep telling these words to yourself and make the most of what life has to offer.
How to Best Stay Motivated throughout 2019
A common theme across many of the quotes and entrepreneurs listed above, is that business and success in life isn’t easy. There are plenty of highs and lows that we all need to work through.
While getting inspired by others who have already walked through these paths, it’s important to also make sure you keep an eye on the competition those in the industry around you.
By learning from others and staying in touch with the industry you are currently working it, it’s only going to make you a better entrepreneur in the process.
Never stop learning, and keep sharing your success and inspiration with others!

Natural, Organic and Simple: The Home + Shop of Sukha in Amsterdam
Hello dear readers, would you like to visit Amsterdam with me today? Whenever I’m in this charming city, there’s a very unique shop that I simply must-see no matter what. It’s like LYS Vintage in Hamburg, Merci in Paris or Rossana Orlandi in Milan… I guess each city has it’s “design/ concept shop” and for Amsterdam, that shop in my eyes is Sukha.
What is “the” shop in your city? Comment below and let us know…
Since it’s a dreary and gray week day here and I’m in need of something bright and joyful, I will share impressions from the wonderfully inspiring Sukha while also running deeper below the surface into the home of Founder Irene Mertens. Together, Irene and I will have a chat too about her business and favorite things to do in Amsterdam, a city that she loves very much.
Care to join us?
But first, a mood board to frame this story – because this is what Suhka is all about – natural, relaxed, a bit bohemian, and very beige/white. It’s gorgeous!
What is the concept behind your store?
Sukha is a flagship store in the heart of Amsterdam. Everything we sell- from fashion to furniture and from accessories to art- comes with a complementary dosage of Sukha. Sukha entails’ elation of life’ in Sanskrit. And that is exactly what we are about. Sukha is a place where beautiful things are conceived, developed and created. We stand for fair production and take great care in selecting unique items that are handmade from natural materials and are often locally designed. Everything we do is done with a great deal of attention and consideration, always with a twinkle in our eye and, above all, joy of life.
How would you describe your personal style?
Natural, organic and simple.
Have you ever thought to open other stores and if so, where?
Yes, but we decided not to. We feel it’s better to focus on one beautiful store, where everything comes together. Other stores in 13 nations all over the world are reselling our own brand, Atelier Sukha. We give them the opportunity to spread some Sukha joy through their own special places.
Where do your products come from( that you design)?
The products we develop with Atelier Sukha are brought to life in the poorest regions of India and Nepal. Our whole product line-up is set up with local communities. Our mission is to create more Fair Trade employment opportunities in these countries. Next to that we want to cherish the ancient crafts, who the hell is passed on from generation to generation.

What are some of the most popular brands for clothing that you carry?
Monique van Heist, Elsien Gringhuis and Kings of Indigo, all designed in the Netherlands. Van Heist has a powerful philosophy, she designs everlasting basics. We are very proud to stand next to her. She takes slow fashion to the next level. Elsien only employs ecological material and cloths. Her pieces transcend time and place. We love her focus on craftsmanship and eye for detail. KOI is our favorite organic denim brand.
What is a trend right now that you love and support?
The growing consciousness of people. First it started with food, now slowly we’re getting to fashion. People are buying less and they choose products with better quality that will last for years. More and more they choice colorings, the documentation and prints that they’re feeling comfy in – and actually love, instead of (blindly) following trends.
What do you love the most about your shop?
Our calm, natural and relaxed atmosphere. People from all over the world are visiting us because of that atmosphere, our particular selection of products and our lovely team. We think it’s very important to really be there for every customer, have a little talk, drink a cup of tea together and help them get that timeless basic, beautiful present or lovely postcard.
We have a close group of regular customers who stop by every now and then to add something new to their wardrobe or only get inspired by new products. We’re very grateful for such lovely friends of our shop and could not do it without them.
Suhka Shop
What is hard about being a shop owner?
Our shop is 362 days a year open, it never stops … When we close the door at the end of the day, we’re not finished. You take your notions, new developments and decisions to be made, to the home.
Is social media helpful to your business?
Yes, it is very helpful, you can reach everyone all over the world, so we can spread our elation of life and philosophy in as many countries as possible. We believe the online world supportings the americans and we’re trying to use it in a thoughtful, inspiring way.
What do you use( social media) to connect online?
Instagram is a very important tool to connect to our customers and has the largest reach. We try to inspire and train, by showing everything we like( and has a sparkle of pleasure in it) and explaining how we create, where we produce and by pointing out certain ancient techniques or special crafts.
Are you inspired by your city and if so, why?
Very much! I love the people in Amsterdam, they are so open-minded. Our city is ever-growing and developing and trying to do that in the most fair and sustainable way. There are a lot of new social initiatives. For most of my life I have lived here and I still get surprised by a beautiful new little eatery, a great hidden playground for children or a stunning sundown when I’m cycling home across the canals.
What are 5 places in Amsterdam that you suggest for a tourist to visit for hotels and food?
Conscious Hotel and Loyd Hotel for sleeping. Choux is an amazing restaurant with a focus on natural ingredients, surprising combination and beautiful natural wines. We’re also a big fan of Toscanini; a luxurious, yet low-key Italian restaurant serving high quality classic Italian dishes. An outstanding coffee-to-go-or-to-stay? Try Toki, close to our store. This place is inspired by Japan, they only work with the highest quality of every product they use. Their lunch menu is small, but lovely and tasty. If you want to escape the city a bit, go to the Ceuvel. Their mission is to be 100% sustainable. They grow their own vegetables, produce their own juices and lemonades and work with local farmers and other parties to complete their lunch and dinner menu. It’s located next to the water and the locals even take a swim in the Summer there.
Tell show you imagine your business in 5 years, exactly what we some of your goals?
Our main goal is to provide as many people as possible with fair work and a carnival income. Therefore, we need to expand our online and wholesale business. TWO OF WANDS

TWO OF WANDS
BACKGROUND
Define yourself in 4 sentencesHailing originally from the midwest, I’m a New York City based knitwear designer with a passion for modern, fashionable DIY knits. I love to travel and expand my brain, and if I could do one thing for the rest of my life besides working with yarn, I’d choose to be a perpetual student so I could spend my days learning everything and anything. My inspiration comes from travel, trends, and function, and I typically start a design with a feeling I want to evoke. I feel so lucky to be a full-time designer bringing my ideas to life – there’s nothing better than providing someone with the ability to create something they are proud of and can enjoy themselves or give to a loved one. When, how and why did you learn to knit?My mom and grandma taught me to knit as a child. I love giving handmade gifts, and inevitably every year around the holidays they would have to show me how to cast on and bind off again, haha. Eventually it stuck, and I started getting serious about my knitting and designing my own pieces in 2008. I then taught myself how to crochet in 2012. Knit or crochet? Why?I think it depends on the project! I love knitting for the drape and stitches that stack on top of each other to create incredible colorwork and intricate designs. I’m also a more seasoned knitter than I am a crocheter, so it’s usually where my brain goes first. But I love the speed of crochet and the denseness and durability for bags and home dec. Creating shapes is often easier with crochet as well, so it can lead to some really fun out-of-the-box designs.Where do you live?I am currently bouncing back and forth between NYC and Upstate NY near Woodstock.
COLLECTION
Which one is your favourite piece of your collection for We Are Knitters? That is a really tough decision but I think I will have to go with the Washed Ashore Sweater. I truly love all of the pieces, because I designed them to items I would wear myself. The Washed Ashore Sweater just came out better than I could have imagined! It’s so easy to make, and the silhouette is all at once simple and dramatic. It’s so easy to wear and just toss on, but its unique shape makes it interesting and refreshing. I love that it is quick to work up because it’s crochet, but the faux drop stitches made with chain spaces make it drapey and airy, which can be tough to achieve with crochet. And lastly, the softness of the WAK Cotton yarn makes it so effortlessly cool and comfortable!
What was your inspiration to create this collection? One of my favorite places on Earth is Tulum, Mexico. It’s become a super popular tourist destination, but I first visited over a decade ago before it was a hot spot. I love the pristine beaches right next to the rustic jungle, and I wanted to capture this blend of elegance and wildness in the collection.Did you like We Are Knitters’ Pima Cotton? Why?How can you not!? It’s the softest cotton I’ve ever worked with and it comes in the most gorgeous colors! Cotton can often be rough on the hands, especially when crocheting, and this exceeded all of my expectations.
WE ARE KNITTERS
How did you know We Are Knitters?I’ve known about WAK for many years now as they are leaders in making yarn crafts modern and fashion-forward, but I really got to know them when they sponsored the first Our Maker Life event in NYC where I was a keynote speaker. What is your favourite thing about We Are Knitters? I love the modern, fresh take on knitting and crocheting that WAK showcases. They have beautiful quality yarns and fashionable designs that help introduce these timeless crafts to a younger audience. The health/mental benefits that come with yarn crafts are so important in today’s world of fast fashion and highly stressful daily life. Why did you decide to collaborate with us?I’m so excited to collab with a like-minded company for all of the above reasons! I’ve been able to meet Pepita and Alberto and their team in person, and it’s wonderful to work with such lovely humans behind the brand as well. I think our audiences have a lot of crossover but it will be fun to introduce all of our followers to each other
Any plans for the future?I have so many ideas for designs, there just aren’t enough hours in the day! I would love to continue to expand my women’s and home patterns, and to introduce more men’s focused designs in the future. I have some book ideas and some social initiatives I’d love to flesh out as well. I just need to figure out how to use my toes to knit to maximize the time, haha.
