Went to a really cool Japanese culture festival yesterday -- I wasn't sure if it would lean more towards serious culture or weeb territory, but it ended up a pretty even mix of both 😂
It was a really good time hanging out with some super nice new people and trying out a local event! I even got a little Sayori charm as well as earrings that look a lot like Mappi's ;--;
#bones' coworkers invited us and hermit-me was a little nervous to try something new with new people#but the event was huge and really cool! they had a bunch of booths and performers#and the food was good :3#they went in full cosplay and there were a bunch of other cosplayers around that interacted#i got a pic with miku ;---;#it was my first event like it and only made me reallllly want to go to a con/cosplay even more#it was such a good experience#and!! sayori!!!#as much as that game Wrecked me itll hold a real special place in my heart because i got to know my pals and had a great time#and now i can carry her around with me :3#the seller laughed when i ordered her that whenever someone requests a monika shes legally obligated to ask 'just monika?'#and my mappi earrings!!!!#i never get dressed up on my birthday (i always wanna just chill)#but im seriously considering wearing my fancy pink dress with earrings that day.... ill be just like her fr....#rose rambles

#well thats okay. eventually itll come up naturally. and if not well. it doesnt make me feel very okay. but its not a big deal#and i guess ill meet ppl in the future who will curate a different idea of me and maybe therell be fewer misunderstandings#<- coward who CAN communicate to save their life but not in any lower stakes situation for their happiness n quality of life#we <3 repression n insecurity. maybe if i keep digging at the corner of this bit of the labyrinth with my spoon ill get out someday 😌#anyway.. theres my daily vague vent post got it out of my system#wanted to do it earlier but ended up not having much time after work n then called friends which was nice :^)#also i never have signal at work these days.. my boss has said shell get me on the staff wifi tho cuz i do need it for work reasons#its rare to need it for work purposes bc we all use work pcs n stuff anyway and not rly supposed to use mobiles in the lab#but yeahh.. god i have so much admin shit to sort out also gotta text family back before i sleep i forgot to earlier#its all good.. also my memory foam pillows turned up so i no longer have to steal my roomies extra one for my neck pain <3#ik she was missing it... not to sound like a creep but it was nice that it smelled like her a little. just familiar innit#we're always around each other so its just what being home smells like to me.. listen i have a sensitive nose 😔✋️#if we were a lot closer i would ask if i could sleep in her bed while shes away but we're not so it would come across sooo weird..#and i would feel rly weird abt someone sleeping in my own room without me there. well maybe not actually. as long as they werent snooping#<- guy whose mother used to go thru their shit all the time n struggles to not feel paranoid and distrustful when it comes to privacy#was thinking recently my ideal living situation w a partner would be separate rooms but we still share the bed sometimes#but not every night bc im a sensitive sleeper... but we can switch bedding so i can still smell them if i wake up in the night alone#like how new mothers trying to get babies used to cot sleeping each have a cloth or blanket and swap every night#so the baby is comforted by the blankets smell and sleeps more peacefully.. and momma finds it easier being apart from the baby too#sorry this is getting gooey and weird my meds have been wearing off the last couple hours im so sleeppyyyy 😭#well.... maybe everything can wait until tomorrow..... bed is calling..#goodnight everyone muah#.diaries

#ramblings#there was no comment abt me needing to brush/ floss more ??? i was really anticipating one ???????#the hygienist DID suggest i spend more time brushing my front teeth but thats not like. a blunt `brush more`. LOL#my mom ended up coming back with me (didnt expect her to offer i just wanted someone to be there for the check-in b4 going back)#so that was nice :) didnt feel as awkward since shed join in on conversation with the hygienist#also yet another appt where they tell me i should consider getting my wisdom teeth pulled bc they might present issues in the future#`if/when your bottom ones come in they might start pinching your cheeks` i already have a problem where if i chew without thinking#i will fucking gash the insides of my cheeks on accident. this is not a new issue for me /silly#theres trouble with the insurance LOL so if we do decide to get them pulled itll be a while longer#idek if my bottom wisdom teeth r gonna come in atp im gonna be so real. i mean theres still the chance they could but like#theyve been so slow. these fuckers started coming in when i was 17 surely they arent gonna take like. 3 years to erupt fully.#like this has to be it. ig i might be proven wrong idfk. i dont rlly wanna get them removed LOL#i like to think im good at being able to brsh them. i keep on top of the two crooked teeth i have pretty well in spite of the. forgetting#to brush my teeth at all sometimes#ok sorry for the notes ramble i just want this all out in one go. the rambling abt going to the dentist ends here

Ive batch-processed 15 Sonic SpeedSim models over the past 5 hours I swear I can smell colors
#its way too goddamn early in my timezone I need to Sleep#since the game just updated gotta process and compile my rips in preparation. so I can rip This Week’s. heselp#I should probably be keeping spreadsheets at this point. years of logging my animal crossing catalogs finally being put to good use at leas#summer wave’s outfit is the exact same as her tidal wave fit in sfsb Im wondering if its worth having both ag this point#I guess I did keep both of amy’s popstar outfits then again#would be easier if I knew which rips are incomplete generally I delete them and do a new one if theres less than 400ish items from th batch#cause sometimes itll rip all the textures for a model but not the meshes and vice versa which can be deceiving when I see all the#textures I need there only to then load all the meshes and find out it didnt get all the model pieces for the corresponding character#all the sss characters have at minimum 4 meshes to them and 3 texture maps (and thats just diffuses)#combined with ripping things hundreds at a time it leads to a Lot of sifting through per each batch rip#bc of the aforementioned incomplete rips that happen sometimes always do multiple rips of the same scene just in case to minimize my losses#which unsurprisingly adds up to thousands of meshes and textures but storage isnt an issue for me I have multiple terabyte drives#and I have the Autism where I like doing repetitive tedioud tasks so no problem! but it still is So Much for only 2 people#I should stop talking its past 5 am. goobye#hydro.txt

the fucking audacity of watching the pixar short film “going home” while i’m home for my grandma’s funeral.
#like….. yeah#2 weeks ago i did not know id be here rn#i did not know she would take a turn for the worse this fast#im very thankful things worked out to where i could be here#for my wife and her support and i guess my boss and coworkers for their understanding#i have been lucky to not have been here for the very tough times#im thankful to be here with my family now#theyre doing a lot of new housing in my town now#many buildings i walked by as a kid have been demolished and are being rebuilt#we emptied my grandmas room today. she had only lived there for about 3 weeks before passing#we drive by my mom olds house. the house i grew up in. the new owner still hasnt torn down my old curtains in my old room#the old curtains my grandma had sewn for me when i was a baby#my dad is thinking about moving too. too many new buildings too many new people too much noise#two of my cousins have kids now! and the third one is getting married soonish? her fiance seems nice. he seems like he cares about her#my nephew and niece are so big now. i still havent met my other niece#i wonder if any of my old classmates have had kids? if they moved too?#ill be leaving again on tuesday. itll be a looong day#my parents have more and more grey hairs every time i see them#i dont see my brother as much as id like. hes following his dreams and im proud of him. hes a good kid#anyway the guy who made said short film is literally just like me fr#from germany and had been in the us 5 years (at the time) and making this short film?#just like me fr#anyway. this became one of those diaries for me posts haha#it just really captured how it is really well

#just gonna minor vent in the tags#i keep wanting to work on this commission but shit keeps coming up its driving me insane#literally physically exhausted after the past fews and today my dog got sick after eating smth#had to take her to the vets bc she was swaying like she was drunk so ive been even more stressed#'ill just do 1 commission so itll be quick and easy!' cue weeks later when im too physically and emotionally exhausted#the deadline was the only thing that got me moving on the accent. maybe i should start setting deadlines#its just so frustrating it can never go smoothly :(#oh also my dog is fine jic someone was worried. shes been sleepy all day but has mostly recovered <3#i would genuinely not recover if smth happened to her ahahaha#:')#and what triggered all this is me giving blood! i wanna do smth good but if its like this next time i cannot do it anymore#it literally had me feeling like complete shit for nearly a full week after i was just exhausted and so cranky#hshsjdkdj and then i had a nightmare and didnt sleep well for like. 3 days in a row and now this#smash mouth was right the years start coming and they dont stop coming#okay minor vent over. tomorrow is a new day and i will get some substantial art done!! on god!
