Hi Hello I'm joining the sharing-my-silly-littel-tword-stories-train bc these happenings just Don't Leave my head I'm not gonna survive lmao-- so I may or may not have started dating my best friend of many many years (the queer struggles of acting like a couple for the longest of times before going to the other like "ithinkilikeyou👉👈" amirite _(:△」∠)_ ) and I managed to tell them about my likes to the,, certain,,, phySicAL aCTiviTy cough and when I tell you I was NOT PREPARED FOR THEIR REACTION LONG RUN like ofc the initial answer was like "omg that's literally so cute and yeah now that you say it I really can tell" (first of all you didn't have to say that out loud rUDE--) but like, I've told some of my other friends and previous partners about it too and after that similar answer nothing.. ever really happened, so I just wasn't expecting much now either? BUT THIS ONE--

Like I know they're not in the community and I haven't shown them around (yet,,,) but suddenly I'm randomly getting notifications from them and it's the cutest tword art like ever with comments like "omg us!" or "hehe this is you♡" LIKE WHERE ARE YOU SUDDENLY FINDING THESE--- And when I recently mentioned kinda in passing that I find hands attractive bc we were talking about other stuff, their answer?? "Time to grow my nails and tease you with those~" ?????? I'd like my coffin to be pretty and pink please and play Taylor Swift at my funeral

disclaimer: this fic won't mention sarah, but it's not meant to cause any disrespect towards her or her relationship with shane. she seemed slightly uncomfortable with people having shane as their profile pic on instagram, so i felt the need to say this. i love their relationship and this fanfic is purely just that, fanfiction. please do not take it seriously snd feel the need to bash Sarah for being with Shane!

You've been friends with Ryan pretty much since you could walk, your parents were pretty close and their children ended up mirroring said friendship

Ever since you and Ryan started school, he had nicknamed you "Little Foot" because of your tiny height and short temper

So by the time Ryan invited you to the Buzzfeed studios, and introduced you to the infamous Shane Madej, it was pretty long-awaited

But nothing could have ever prepared you for Shane

As soon as you walked in the building with Ryan, you felt Shane's charisma and jolly attitude hit you like a brick

His hair was pretty messy, but it suited him really well and his smile lit up the room, even on the rainiest of days

"Little Foot, this is the big guy! Big guy, this is Little Foot"

"Hey! I'm Shane!" He's grinning, while giving you a small, goofy wave "I'm Y/n!"

If you offer your hand to shake, he'll probably pull you into a hug, with a light hearted chuckle

"Nice to meet you, Y/n!"

He's super nice, it almost blows you off your feet

After recording several true crime episodes with Shane and Ryan, you find yourself slowly falling for Shane, trying your hardest not to let it show on camera

Despite your sucess of hiding your attraction towards the lanky skeptic, Ryan definately noticed, i mean how could he not? you had been friends with him for 28 years

He also noticed Shane's reciprocated attraction towards you, it was a lot harder to spot than yours, but it was definately there

As soon as you got a break, Ryan hopped up out of the chair and offered to go get coffee

"Hey guys give me your orders! Wait you know what, to everyone in the camera crew, coffee is on me! Come cgoose your orders!"

Ryan is so sneaky, he managed to get you and Shane alone in a room, with no one else to disturb you

"You know i think we should all TALK ABOUT OUR FEELINGS about coffee" she's shuffling everyone out of the door and everyone is so confused, until they catch on

He definately winks as he's backing out of the door

"Goddamn weirdo" Shane's voice cuts thriugh4the silence as you both burst into fits of laughter

You both knew what he was doing, but you both feared rejection

"So- um-" "Ithinkilikeyou" "What?? Y/n slow down, it's ok, i'll listen!"

You take a deep nreath and nervously look into his eyes

His eyes are filled with sincere kindness, but he's holding back his nerves

"I um- think i like you"

He's literally gobsmacked, his jaw hits the ground as you try your best to avoid eyecontant, instantly concluding rejection

"But it's totally ok if you don't feel-" You're cut off by him smashing his lips onto yours, a bright red blush tinting his cheeks as you both smiled into the kiss

At the worst moment possible, Ryan saunted in with a coffee tray, three perfectly made coffees sitting in it

His jaw hits the ground as you and Sjane hastily pull away, your faces bright red and your hair disheveled

"Oh my god! You guys- you're already kissing!" He's literally leaning on his knees as he laughs at your embarassment "Oh my god! Look at your faces!"

You and Shane are still bright red, your eyes averted to the ground as Ryan laughs, but, unknown to Ryan, shane's gently stroked the back of your hand with his thumb as he entangled his fingers with yours under the table

a/n: happy belated birthday to Mr Shane Alexander Madej! This was so nice to write, it felt good taking a break from writing for two days to do matchups, but i'm so glad to be back to writing fluff!
