Quarantine Tag Game

Are you staying home from work/school?

Yep, I am working from home. Well, not right now, I am on Easter holidays until 20th March, so I’ll be working from home again then.

If you’re staying home, who is there with you?

WELL. I actually moved on Friday. So I live in a shared house with 3 housemates, 2 of them moved in with their boyfriends when lockdown was announced because they couldn’t bear the thought of not seeing them for ages, which left me stuck in the house alone with the one housemate who I really don’t get on with. So I decided to abandon ship and have now moved back in with my parents for the remainder of the lockdown restrictions, however long that may be.

Are you a homebody?

NOPE. I am an extrovert and a sun worshipper and an adventurer. Lockdown and social distancing are TORTURE.

An event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled?

SO MANY! The main one being London Comic Con in May which the Critical Role cast were going to be attending. So gutted about that. Other events include a Fascinating Aida concert (it’s been rescheduled to September) and an evening with Caroline Criado Perez talking about her book Invisible Women.

What movies have you watched recently?

The last films I went to see in the cinema back in the days when we could do that, were Birds of Prey and Jojo Rabbit, both of which I thought were excellent.

What shows are you watching?

Well as you may have gathered, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is my current obsession. I’m also part way through Hitmen, which is Mel & Sue’s new sitcom where they play bickering incompetent best friend assassins, it’s great. I’m still also part way through Carnival Row, The Mandalorian, American Gods, and oh I’ve just remembered Killing Eve new series started today!

What music are you listening to?

Not a lot, surprisingly. I’m mostly cycling between my YouTube playlists – Dragonette, Walk Off The Earth, and World Fusion which is a bunch of songs we’ve danced to in my dance class.

What are you reading?

I just finished reading Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman which is a collection of short stories. Next on my list is The Humans by Matt Haig.

What are you doing for self-care?

Moving back to my parents was very much an act of self-care. I am a very physically affectionate person and an extrovert, so being with two people I can talk to and hug all the time has instantly improved my mental health.

Happy Tag

Thanks @lodessa for inviting me to do this, I enjoyed it even if it's been a little while since I was tagged lol.

1. Movies/TV: I guess any entertainment makes me happy but sitting down to watch a classic comedy or terrible Rom com makes me very happy.

2. Rainy/cold weather: I live in Scotland so this isn't hard to come by but when the weather is particularly awful I just get happy because I let myself get a big blanket and a hot chocolate and just chill.

3. My friends: Super clichéd and maybe 3 years ago I wouldn't have said this but I've found a great group of friends who just make me smile especially when we all end up in the kitchen at 3am and have the most insightful conversations of the our week.

4. Talking about things that I'm passionate about with others who feel the same: Whether this be a TV show or character or just culture differences between countries. I love talking and getting new ideas from like minded people. I guess in a way learning makes me happy.

5. Feedback: Ok so, I don't create content as much as I used to do but even in a university environment I like reading the feedback I get, as I said learning makes me happy. I like to know if what I'm doing is making someone else smile or laugh. I just like knowing if I'm doing okay, in what I create.

He pulls out his phone, pulls up my FACEBOOK PROFILE and says "this is you right? I added you as a friend, but you never added me back. Why didn't you?" (I'm not lying; this really happened). So I said "Sorry, I don't add people unless I actually know them." He said "well you know me now, add me." It was super creepy, so I pretended my manager was calling over the radio (we had to wear these stupid radio things with an earbud so we could talk to each other while out on the sales floor), and I booked it to the front office and didn't come out until he was gone. I never saw him again, thank god.
