Robin!Jason, who constantly references different books at random times by quoting them and joking about characters, except Bruce doesn't have much time to read everything that Jason goes through. Of course, he understands some nods towards classics, but Jason is an avid reader, so it is hard to keep up with him sometimes. Jason tries to drag him to watch some movie adaptations, but he falls asleep in the very beginning of it.
And then Jason dies.
Bruce goes through all his library obsessively to the point he remembers the page of every little bookmark Jason left, and he knows his little notes on the margins by the heart. He watches movie adaptations, too, even though Jason only ever watched it to hate on them. He finds new books, books he thinks Jason would like if he was alive, and reads them, imagining what kind of analysis would Jason finalise by the end of it; his opinion not always matches with Jason's, but that doesn't matter. Bruce just likes to imagine.
Years pass, and Jason returns to Gotham. Not as a boy Bruce missed so much. Or, at least, he thinks so.
But then Jason does some bitter, irritated reference, comparing them to characters of one of the books he had on his shelf, and Bruce catches himself thinking... well, they still think similarly, but the conclusion they drew had always differed from each other. It is a different situation, of course, but... but maybe he could try to make this work.
Because, if anything, Bruce is tired of imagining. Especially, not when he finally has a chance to get everything back.
On the next day after their fight, someone sends Jason a copy of a new book from his favourite author - the one that he still hadn't read - his old set of colourful bookmarks, and a little note.
Let me know what you think.
Bruce gets the book back in a week, full of frantic notes, a bunch of bookmarks, and a short note explaining what each colour means (a mystery he didn't resolve years ago, after he passed away).
And, oh, God. He completely forgot how fast Jason read sometimes.
#Jason: ...tell me that when you read my books you weren't leaving dog-eared bookmarks.#Bruce: ahaha... uh#Bruce: chump... chump PUT THE GUN BACK I AM SORRY#is that... hurt/comfort attempt from ME#related to bruce and jason???????????#yeah i am surprised too lol#jason todd#red hood#dcu comics#dc universe#dcu#batman#bruce wayne#batfamily#batfam

Alrighty y'all, grab a chair and get comfy whilst I yap about my son, my pride and joy, the greatest thing to ever happen to me, my D&D OC: Raymond Foxwood. He is a Wood Elf Druid with the Researcher background and a Neutral-Good alignment (Images at the very end).
I haven't figured out what his voice sounds like yet. I'm thinking he may kind of have an accent? But like it's barely there. I do have an idea for a possible Japanese voice claim: Souta from the movie Suzume.
His best friend? I guess it would be my friend's D&D character. Her name is Topaz and she is a Dragonborne. Not besties, but pretty close.
Ooooooo boy, I got a whole playlist my friend and I have been cooking up for this sad little fella. Here's a couple of them that I think describes him best:
-"The Moss" by Cosmo Sheldrake
-"Rom-Com Gone Wrong" by Matt Maltese
-"When She Loved Me" by Sarah McLachlan
-"Home" by Cavetown
-"Valentine" by Laufey
-"Love Like You" by Rebecca Sugar
He's like, dealing with a heavy breakup until "Valentine" when he meets his current partner :)
4. "I do Adore" by Mindy Gledhill
5. Nope! But I actually thought about it when I was first creating his character just to see how he would act with other dynamics.
6. A scientist. More specifically, an ecologist. He loves nature and learning about all there is to know about life and the world. He also likes finding ways to help others, so maybe even a pharmacologist?
8. Writing, researching, reading, gardening, and making little insect and animal models because he is a NERD⢠/lh<3
9. He generally takes good care of his physical health. Although, his flaw is "Most people scream when they see a demon. I stop and take notes on its anatomy," soooo. "For science" he says. "It's for the greater good" he says.
10. Well he's trying his best. But sometimes anxiety just surprises you and all of the sudden you're spiraling and things seem much worse than they are and pfffft whaddya meeeeaaaan I'm sorta self projecting? But he is the kind of person who feels bad about asking for help and then sort of holds it all in.
11. Inspirations were taken Link from The Legend of Zelda series (mainly BOTW) and Howl from Howl's Moving Castle for his design. Everything else was based purely on my own self indulgences for a nerdy elf character (and the songs my friend keeps sending my for him).
12. Same response as question 2 :)
13. No not really, but he is fighting against an organization that keeps threatening and trying to burn down the library he works/lives in with the librarian: Amanita (Ama, Anita, or Nita for short). Amanita is the person who raised and took care of Raymond after his family died in a fire. A fire caused by the same organization who's trying to harm them now. This is his main reason for joining a campaign; to get stronger and protect his loved ones.
14. This one flippin poison dragon we fought. Or maybe that's just me because I really didn't want to let them leave alive. I don't think Raymond necessarily hates anyone.
15. That all honestly depends on how the rest this campaign will play out. My friend has told me that they all did die a couple times, and we almost died to the STINKIN DRAGON but that's not important right now. But L O R E wise, he'd probably still do his researcher stuff until he's really old. Then he'll write books and share his stories :)
16. If they were alive, then I could see him having a great relationship with his parents since they were also big nerds like him. His relationship with Amanita is also great, and he really wants to protect her since she has done so much for him.
17. YESSSSSS! He loves sharing his knowledge with others and would do such a great job teaching kids. Ohhhh this is such a good one, yes he would feel bad if he had to leave them.
18. He/Him :>
19. Biromantic Asexual. His love language in giving is Acts of Service, and Quality Time for both giving and receiving.
20. A longbow and rocks. He has a cantrip spell called "Magic Stone" which lets me make a ranged attack by throwing small pebbles or stones. I like to call this spell the "RAYMOND, STONE 'EM" spell because its funnnnyyyy.
21. hmmmmmmmmmm Actually, I'm not sure! I guess maybe "Nothing You Can Take From Me" from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
22. Will generally go for the non-violent option (more of a lover), but if initiatives are rolling, he'll fight.
23. Extremely. He'll show up with a new tire to fix the flat one, and an extra one for any future situations.
24. Undecided
25. Not singing out loud, but he would definitely hum to himself! :)
26. Irises, forget-me-nots, and bluebells
27. Symbolism wise, a deer. 'Just because' wise, a rabbit, a fox, and a kitty cat :3
28. The Nerds⢠(found at the end of this post:) ).
29. Cozy stuff, lo-fi, books, plants, leather notebooks, and an overall sort of cottage core mixed with academia aesthetic. (Mood Board made in Canva :>)
30. Accepts this as their new life(yippee!). They have now been adopted. Will try to find a way to bring up their interests in conversations.

(i also think i managed to throw in some of the other stuff you requested because it ended up giving me a lot of inspiration.) thank you for playing my sweethearts game, i hope you enjoy!! âĄâĄ
That was it. You had had enough of Ari Levinson.Â
In fact, after months of working for the CEO, youâd had more than enough of the infuriatingly arrogant, wildly inconsiderate, exasperatingly entitled and frustratingly handsome man.Â
Wait, no, forget that last one. Ari was the worst man youâd ever metâand youâd met plenty of awful men in your line of work as an executive assistant to high-ranking executivesâso he certainly was not also the most attractive man youâd ever met. Absolutely not.Â
Youâd worked for Ari Levinson for a little less than a year, and even though you were one of the best damn EAs in all of New York City, heâd already driven you to fantasizing about quitting multiple times a day. It wasnât a good sign that you also liked to imagine kicking him in the shin before storming out in all your righteous glory.
The problem wasnât that Ari Levinson was a demanding and exacting boss. He was a CEO, after all, and most executives held their employees to incredibly high standards. No, the real problem was that Ari was prone to seemingly impulsive whims, which always made your already difficult job nearly impossible.
More times than you could count, youâd had to reschedule meetings with titans of the industry and heads of state, all because Ari had forgotten to tell you heâd gone to play pickleball. Or youâd had to completely rebook a board meeting because Ari had decided to take a spontaneous trip to Costa Rica or the Seychelles or some other warm and sunny place while winter ravaged the city.
The worst part about those trips in particular was that you were still expected to commute into the office. So while Ari was off enjoying a white sand beach and crystal blue ocean, soaking up the sun that would undoubtedly bring out the blond highlights in his perfectly shaggy brown hair and deepen his glorious golden tan, you would be bundled up in a ridiculous amount of layers and braving the subway in the city.Â
When Ari was gone, you would spend most of your day sitting at your desk alone on the top floor the companyâs building, twiddling your thumbs outside Ariâs empty office. Inevitably, your mind always strayed to Ari and began to wonder what he was doing at that very moment.
Since the CEO had you working 60-hour weeks, and you spent most of those hours by his side, you could very easily picture him standing on a beach. Heâd be wearing a rakish smile on his bearded face, the clear blue of the ocean making the bright sapphire of his eyes pop while the shining sun would highlight the mischievous look that was, more often than not, sparkling in the depth of his gaze.Â
Youâd never seen Ari shirtlessâonly ever having seen him in the tailored suits he wore to the officeâbut youâd caught glimpses of dark hair on his chest on the late nights when heâd undone the top buttons of his shirt. You could just imagine how his broad shoulders would frame his barrel chest, dark hair dusting so much of his bare skin that would be on display, with a pair of shorts riding indecently low on his hips.
And if you let your mind wander further down that path, you began to wonder if Ari ever swam naked in the shimmering waters of the tropics. You wondered if he floated on his back, basking in the sun with his entire body bare, looking even more like the golden god you thought he resembledâŚ
With a forceful shake of your head, you made yourself stop thinking about Ari swimming naked, and refocused on the present moment.Â
You stood in Ariâs office, your back straight as a knifeâs edge while you typed notes furiously into your phone about everything youâd have to reschedule to accommodate the last-minute, week-long trip to Belize heâd informed you he was taking.Â
Youâd bitten back a sigh, like the polite little EA you prided yourself on being, and tried to get more details from him about his availability while he was away. But instead of answering your extremely relevant questions, Ari had changed the subject and asked about your Valentineâs Day plans.
The words had taken you by so much surprise, youâd had to pause your typing and blink a few times before your mind could process them. It wasnât until Ari had voiced the question that you even realized the holiday had snuck up on you.Â
Not that it mattered, it wasnât like you were seeing anyone, so you had no romantic partner to spend it with. As such, youâd given Ari a bland answer about catching up on the new season of The Traitors with a bottle of rosĂŠ and Freddie.
You didnât expect Ari to remember that Freddie was your cat, and not a partnerâthough Freddie was, admittedly, your closest companion since you lived alone in a very nice one-bedroom apartment and had little time for other friends.Â
Youâd hoped Ari wouldâve forgotten about Freddie and assumed you were just having a lowkey Valentineâs Day, thereby getting the hint to drop the subject. Youâd wanted to refocus him on answering the questions youâd asked about his trip.Â
But youâd had no such luck and, for the second time in five minutes, Ari had surprised youâand not in a good way.Â
The CEO had scoffed at your Valentineâs Day plans, rolling his gorgeous blue eyes in a way that made you grind your molars in an effort not to snarl at him. Heâd said you could find better company for the evening than a cheap bottle of wine, some trashy television and a flea-ridden furball.Â
That last comment had been the final straw. The one that broke the proverbial camelâs back.Â
Youâd felt something inside you snap, and you realized youâd had enough of Ari Levinson.Â
It was bad enough that Ari was the worst, most difficult and flighty boss youâd ever had, but you drew the line at anyone insulting Freddie. He was your precious little man, the one who greeted you every night with sweet chirps and warm affection when you got home to your otherwise empty apartment.Â
You loved him more than anything else in the world, and had even used a good chunk of the generous salary you made working for Ari to splurge on a place with lots of natural light so Freddie could bask in the sun to his heartâs content. So you would absolutely not stand by and listen to Ari insult Freddie.Â
âYou know what, bite me, Levinson,â you hissed at the infuriatingly arrogant CEO, using a voice so filled with fury, you barely recognized it as your own. âI quit.â
You took a second to savor the slightly stunned look on Ariâs faceâhis normally sparkling blue eyes dulled with confusion and his perfectly plump lips, offset by his dark, well-groomed beard, parted in surprise like youâd slapped himâthen you whirled around on your heel.Â
You were determined to stalk out of the CEOâs office with your head held high, but Ari had other ideas.
Quick as lightning, Ariâs hand shot out and wrapped around the back of your neck. His grip was surprisingly gentle, even if it was still firm enough to spin you back around and reel you in until your body nearly collided with his broad chest.Â
The astonished look on Ariâs face had already been replaced by a devastatingly arrogant grin, his bright blue eyes sparkling like the sun glinting off the ocean, a wicked kind of mischief in their depths. He held you close, so close that you had to tip your head back to look into his eyes.
Your hands had come up to brace against Ariâs chest when heâd tugged you into the cage of his arms, and you could tell, even through the thick wool coat he wore over his suit, that he was sturdy beneath his clothes.Â
The only thing stopping you from trying to push him away was the sneaking suspicion that he was strong enough not to allow you to put any space between your bodies if he didnât want it. If you did try to fight and he didnât give you an inch, you knew it would turn you on more than his manhandling already had, and you couldnât deal with that just yet.
So instead of fighting him, you stood there, letting Ari tower over you while your hands rested uselessly against the lapels of his coat, your phone still clutched tightly in your fingers. You tried to keep a glare fixed on your face, showing him all of the ire you felt, and none of the desire that was scorching through your body as you inhaled his warm, spicy scent.
âBad move, baby,â Ari rumbled, his mouth curving into a wicked smirk that had your betrayer of a heart beating mortifyingly hard in your chest, the warmth between your legs turning into a disloyal dampness. âNow thereâs no employee code of conduct stopping me from doing this.â
You didnât even have a hope of processing Ariâs words before his mouth crashed down on yours.
If you ever thought about itâwhich you did, an embarrassing amount, in fact, though youâd never in your life admit it to anyone (except maybe Freddie)âyou wouldâve expected Ari Levinson to be a selfish kisser. Youâd expected him to totally lack finesse, to plunge his tongue into your mouth right away and take what he thought he was owed.
But Ariâs kiss wasnât like that at all.
Sure, there was a barely leashed hunger in the way his mouth worked against yours, like he was holding onto his restraint by the tips of his fingers. But his lips were more coaxing than demanding, his tongue more teasing and playful than plundering as he licked along the seam of your mouth.
Before you knew what was happening, you were falling under the spell of Ari Levinsonâs kiss. Your lips were parting of their own accord, and you were letting out a contented little sigh as your body melted into his arms.Â
You could taste the smirk on his lips as he readjusted his grip, one of his arms banding around your lower back to hold you securely against his chest while his other hand shifted from the back of your neck to cup your face. He held you exactly where he wanted you while he tempted you into giving yourself completely to him.
Then, Ari deepened the kiss, and you were lost to him.Â
He smelled like expensive cologne, rich and spicy, but he tasted like bitter coffee and dark chocolate, and the contrast was driving you wild. You wanted to climb the tall, sturdy CEO like he was a tree, but you settled for curling your fingers around the lapels of his coat and pulling him closer, sucking on the tongue heâd slipped into your mouth and reveling in his groan of pleasure.
You could already feel the evidence of his arousal pressing into your stomach, and you desperately wanted to feel his bulge move lower, shoving between your thighs while Ari spread your legs wide openâpreferably with no layers of clothing between your bodies. You wanted him to sink into your wet heat and pound into you until you forgot everything except his name.
But you wouldnât beg Ari Levinson to fuck you. You refused to stoop to that level.Â
Instead, you pressed your body more firmly against his hardness, nipping at his plump lower lip and stirring a low growl in his chest. Then you sucked on his lip hard enough that his arms crushed you to his chest, his hips thrusting instinctively against your soft curves and making you smirk against his mouth.
âCome to Belize with me,â Ari murmured when heâd pulled his lips from yours to press kisses to your cheek and jaw and neck. He kissed you anywhere he could reach without straying too far from your mouth, which he devoured with a hunger that had a pulsing need throbbing between your thighs. âCome with me, baby, and we can continue this for the whole week.â
A scornful laugh, light and frothy as the waves crashing on the shore, bubbled from your lips and you tipped your head back. Ari took the movement as permission to brush even more kisses to the underside of your jaw, a shiver racing down your spine when the softness of his mouth contrasted with the rasp of his beard.
But, though a part of you wanted to get even more lost in Ari Levinson and take him up on his request, you couldnât forget everything heâd done and said. You certainly wouldnât forget the slight against Freddie.
âWhy on earth would I go anywhere with you?â you asked, your voice so breathy, it almost sounded like you were flirting with the arrogant CEO instead of scoffing at his offer. âI just quit, remember?â
âI remember,â Ari muttered into the fluttering pulse beneath your jaw. He kissed his way back to your mouth and licked inside, making you melt even further in his arms.Â
By that point, your legs were so weak, you were certain Ariâs strong arms were the only thing holding you up. But if heâd been trying to persuade you with pure lust into relenting and giving in to his invitation, he mustâve realized quickly it would take more to sweep you off your feet.
âLet me put it this wayâcome to Belize with me and Iâll tell HR I fired you so you get your full severance package,â he rumbled in your ear, nipping at the lobe and dragging a reluctant gasp from your lips. âOtherwise you get nothing.â
Somewhere, in the deep recesses of your rational mind, you knew you should bristle at Ariâs threat. After all, he was toying with your financial future like it was nothing but a tool in his negotiation arsenal to get what he wanted.Â
ExceptâŚyou had been the one to quit without thinking about what it meant for your ability to pay rent and keep a roof over Freddieâs head. Ari wasnât threatening to take away your severance, youâd thrown that away all on your own. Instead, he was offering to give it to you in exchange for a week-long vacation to one of the most beautiful places in the world.Â
Later, you could chalk up your questionable decision-making to the drugging effect Ariâs mouth had on your body and mind, but in the moment, you were hard-pressed to remember why you shouldnât go with him to Belize. Especially when your body seemed unwilling to do anything except press further into him, begging him without words for more.
You realized belatedly that youâd already made up your mind, but you couldnât bring yourself to tell the exasperating CEO just yet. So you slid a hand from the lapel of Ariâs jacket into his soft, brown hair, your fingers curling selfishly in the strands while you pulled his mouth back to yours. You shared a slow, decadent kiss that almost made you forget the conversation youâd been having.
âTheyâll believe that?â you asked on a gasp, breaking away from Ariâs devastatingly perfect mouth to suck in the air your lungs were begging for.Â
You pulled back enough to look up into Ariâs handsome face, finding him smirking knowingly down at you, and you realized he knew youâd already decided to go with him. You were prepared to seethe in fury and snap at him, but something in his expression made you pauseâthere was a hint of affection in his crystal blue eyes that youâd never seen before, and it rendered you speechless.
âBaby, I sign their paychecks,â Ari said, stroking a finger tenderly down your cheek, his words reminding you of the conversation you were still in the middle of. âTheyâll believe what I tell them to believe.â
A derisive scoff burst from your lips as you rolled your eyes at the arrogance of Ariâs statement, but you held your tongue. Youâd known the man long enough that there was no point in arguing with him, so you changed the subject to something that mattered more to you anyway.
âIâm still furious with you for what you said about my Valentineâs Day plansâand Freddie,â you said, giving Ari your best, most withering glare.
Unfortunately, you suspected it wasnât all that scary, at least not to the CEO who still held you in his arms, because Ari just chuckled and ducked down to press a kiss to your lips. His laughter flickered teasingly into your mouth, making the warmth of desire bloom even more hotly in your body.
âI promise Iâll make it up to you,â Ari vowed before kissing you again, though it didnât last long as his mouth tipped up into a smirk. âYouâre going to enjoy Belize, baby.â
The sun that shone on Belize was better than the sun above New York City, you were convinced of it. If anyone tried to tell you that was simply because Belize was closer to the equator and it was February, you wouldnât hear it. The sun was better in Belize.
It fell across your bare shoulders like the softest and comfiest of blankets, warming you down to the bones that you wouldâve sworn had been permanently frozen by the cityâs frigid winter. But even with the sun beating down on your body, you never got overheated thanks to the gentle breeze coming in off the water of the near-distant ocean, caressing your skin like a lover.Â
For the millionth time since youâd arrived in Belize, you let out a sigh of contentment and reveled in the bright sunshine and the smell of salt on the air. The lapping of the waves was a constant soundtrack, lulling you into a state of near-sleep as you lay out on the deck of the private vacation home your former boss had booked for the week.
And, thanks to the privacy afforded by the high walls on either side of the pool and deck, which overlooked a strip of beach reserved entirely for you and the CEO, you were basking in the sun completely naked. Your body was stretched out on the soft cushion of a sun lounger, laying on your stomach with your arms folded beneath your chin.Â
The only thing you wore was a pair pink heart-shaped sunglasses perched on the bridge of your nose, casting the world in shades of bubblegum and taffy while you watched the ocean. It felt deliciously wicked to be laying outside wearing nothing, and you couldnât help but smile to yourself as you reveled in the feeling of the sun warming your skinâall of your skin.Â
The sound of the door to the deck opening and closing pulled you from your reverie, though you didnât turn to see who it was. There was only one person it could beâAri Levinson.Â
âThe beastâs been fed,â Ari said, no small amount of fondness in his tone. His heavy footsteps padded in your direction across the wooden deck, coming to a stop somewhere near the foot of your lounger.Â
It surprised no one more than you to learn that Ariâs invitation to go to Belize for the week had included Freddie. The CEO had even accompanied you to your apartment, where heâd helped herd Freddie into his carrier before taking both of you to the airport where he kept his private jet.Â
Freddie had been wary of the large intruder in your home, and was taking some time to warm up to Ari. In an effort to endear himself to your precious furball, Ari had insisted on being the one to feed him, which youâd only allowed once your former boss admitted he planned on keeping you in his life long after the trip to Belize endedâand was willing to do anything to make that happen.Â
It turned out, Freddie was just as much of a traitor as your heart, because heâd warmed up to Ari just as fast as your the betrayer in your chest had, abandoning their initial hatred of the CEO for something much warmer and more affectionate.Â
âI gave him some of that wet food he likes,â Ari went on, finally dragging your attention away from the ocean so you could look up at the man who was quickly becoming your second favorite person in the worldâafter Freddie, of course.Â
You sucked in a sharp breath at the sight of Ari, standing on the deck with his hands propped on his hips, his face tipped up toward the sun and his eyes shaded in dark glassesâall while entirely naked.Â
There was so much golden, tanned skin on display, you didnât know where to lookâat the dark hair blanketing his barrel chest, at the gentle taper of his waist and the hair trailing down from his navel, or at the thick cock hanging between his even thicker thighs.Â
The two of you had barely made it into the vacation home in Belize and gotten Freddie settled before Ari had been pushing inside your entirely too willing pussy, finally finishing what youâd begun in the CEOâs office in New York. Since then, neither of you had been able to keep your hands to yourselves for longer than a few hours, and youâd learned, intimately, how it felt to have Ariâs cock buried in each one of your holes.
Youâd also confessed to Ari, early on in the week, that youâd wondered whether he spent his vacations swimming naked in the ocean. In response, heâd pulled you into the ocean wearing not a stitch of clothing between the two of you; ever since, heâd taken to walking around naked all the time, so youâd done the same.Â
Considering all the fucking you were doing, it was way more convenient anyway.Â
âI think itâs about time you put on more sunscreen, isnât it, baby?â Ari asked, dragging your focus back to the moment. Â
His tone had dropped a little lower in that way that made your belly swoop and dampness begin to gather between your thighs. Your body warmed as arousal settled heavily in your center, your legs falling open just a tiny bit, as if the infuriating CEO had trained you to react instinctively to the barest hint of desire in his tone after just a few days.
Still, though your body might betray what you desperately wanted from Ari, you werenât going to make it so easy for him.Â
You tipped your head up toward him, finding heâd pulled off his sunglasses and dropped them on the lounger beside yours, leaving him able to pin you with a scorchingly heated look. You simply raised a brow at him.
âIf you think so, you can go ahead and apply it for me,â you said primly, tossing your head and turning back to look out at the ocean.Â
A smirk quirked the corners of your lips as you heard Ari chuckle behind you, and you could easily picture him picking up the bottle of sunscreen from the deck while he stepped closer to you.Â
A moment later, you felt the slight shift of movement when Ari threw his leg over your lounger. Then he settled down on the cushion, planting his knees on either side of your hips. You took off your sunglasses and set them on the deck, pretending not to care about what Ari was doing.
But every spot where his bare skin touched yours tingled with awareness, excitement bubbling in your belly and mixing with your desire into the perfect kind of anticipation that had you squeezing your thighs together against the ache building in your core.Â
Ari was quiet while he squeezed the sunscreen onto his hands and began massaging it into your shoulders, his strong fingers working methodically at the knots in your musclesâknots heâd created while heâd still been your bossâuntil they were entirely loose and unraveled.Â
Then his hands were moving lower, his fingers brushing along the soft sides of your tits in such a teasing torture that you had to force yourself not to squirm beneath him. You were trying your hardest to keep up the appearance that you were unaffected by Ariâs touch, but the longer he deftly worked your body, the more effort it took to bite back your moans.
However, all hope of hiding your reactions from the arrogant CEO fled when he got to your ass. His big hands rubbed and kneaded the soft flesh in such a way that Ari kept spreading your pussy lips apart, the quiet sounds of your own wetness reaching your ears even over the near-distant hum of the ocean.Â
Ari lingered over your ass and hips and thighs, groping your body shamelessly under the guise of working sunscreen into your skin, even as both of you knew exactly what he was doing. He worked you up until you were squirming beneath him, biting back little whimpers of desire, and then he stopped and you nearly growled in frustration.
Picking up the bottle of sunscreen, Ari laughed softly while he squeezed more into his hands, then made quick work of smoothing it down the rest of your legs, making sure you were entirely covered before resuming his previous position.Â
His hands groped your ass again and his hard cock bobbed against the backs your thighs, but neither of you moved to take things further for a long moment. You simply enjoyed the feeling of being together, a sense of peace like none youâd ever known washing over you.
âHow many times dâyou think Iâve made you cum so far this week?â Ari asked, his tone light with an undercurrent of huskiness betraying his desire.Â
The question broke whatever spell Ari had put on you and you stretched languidly beneath him, reaching your fingers out toward the ocean and pointing your toes while you tested your muscles. Your body was loose and relaxed, but you were despairingly empty, so you pushed your hips up, brushing your ass teasingly against Ariâs hard length while you hummed in thought.
âI donât know,â you mumbled, grumbling only a little when Ari pushed your hips back down on the lounger. He rebuffed your wordless offer, pinning you down while his knees shifted higher up your body and his calves kept your thighs closed together. âA lot, I guess.â
âAnd how many more until you forgive me for being the worst boss ever?â he asked, a playful smile in the warmth of his tone.Â
You may have called him thatâmore than onceâwhen he was edging you earlier in the week. But heâd earned the insult, and more, frankly, for how much youâd put up with in your months of working for him. He truly had been the worst boss ever, and you never intended on rescinding your resignation since he deserved it.Â
Thankfully, Ari seemed determined to make it up to you, just like heâd promised. Mostly through orgasms, but you werenât going to complain. Not yet, anyway. (Besides, youâd already gotten him to promise to give you the most glowing letter of recommendation he could write, and help you secure a position with a much less demanding company.)
âAt least a hundred,â you murmured in a breathy tone, your hips lifting hungrily into Ariâs palms when he kneaded your ass, his thumbs brushing temptingly close to your dripping slit.Â
That time, he took you up the wordless invitation, the tip of his hard cock pressing into your tight hole, which was more than eager to take his thick length. Ariâs cock met with no resistance from your body as he slid inside, burying himself to the hilt with one relentless stroke.
You were plenty wet from the massage heâd given you, and your body had long since grown accustomed to the feel of his fat cock stretching your tight pussy. It had taken some time to work his full length inside you that first night, but your body had come to know him, and you stretched to fit him perfectly, his hardness nestled deep in your cunt with his tip pressed against your cervix.Â
A pleasured groan slipped from Ariâs lips as he felt your pussy squeezing around him. He fell forward, covering your body with his broad form until he was pressed flush to your back, pinning you into the soft cushion of the lounger.
The movement shifted his stiff length in your dripping hole, and it felt like he was pushing impossibly deeper, which wrung a shrill desperate, keening sound from the depths of your lungs.Â
Ari shushed you softly, his palms skimming from your shoulders down your arms until his fingers tangled with yours. He held your hands in each of his, keeping you grounded in the moment while undeniable euphoria filled your body and mind, blotting out everything except Ari and the pleasure he offered.Â
âAnd how many more until you forgive me for the comment about the beast?â Ari asked, his voice gravelly with his own barely leashed desire. He turned his head slightly, brushing a kiss to the apple of your cheek like he couldnât help himself, and waited for your answer.Â
It took you a moment to gather your thoughts enough to respond, knowing he wasnât going to move, to fuck you, until youâd answered his question.
âItâs gonna take five hundred more,â you huffed, trying for a pert tone and failing miserably. Your voice was little more than a breathy moan, but that didnât stop you from curtly adding, âThat was my son you insulted.â
âBy the end of this trip, heâs going to be our son,â Ari growled in your ear, pulling his hips back and thrusting inside you again, harder and rougher than before.Â
You moaned loudly at the delicious drag of his cock in your tight hole, fighting back the warmth that wanted to curl around your heart at the determination in Ariâs tone when he talked about making Freddie his son too.
Thankfully, the way Ari was rocking into you, fucking your prone body while you were pinned beneath him, easily distracted you from the fact that the infuriating CEO was stealing his way deeper into your heart with very little resistance since you just couldnât seem to muster it. Not when he felt so fucking good and said so many sweet things.
âAnd if I have to make you cum one thousand times to make you forgive me, Iâll do it,â Ari went on, pounding into you harder, his hips smacking against your ass with every thrust, wringing mindless moans from your lips while he kept spilling filth in your ear. âIâll fuck your sweet little cunt until sheâs so sensitive and swollen, youâll be begging me to stopâbut I wonât. Iâll make you cum on my cock so many times youâll be forgiving me over and over and over again.â
Ari punctuated each of his words with a ruthless thrust, the clapping of his skin against yours loud in the quiet and otherwise peaceful afternoon. It was all you could do to mutter, âOh god,â and cling on to Ariâs hands, holding him tightly while you took every inch of his cock and every single one of his rough thrusts.Â
âAnd then, when youâre addicted to my cock and youâve finally forgiven meâreally, truly forgiven meâIâll put a pretty little ring on this finger,â Ari rumbled, squeezing your left ring finger between two of his own, so you couldnât possibly misunderstand what he was saying. âAnd Iâm going to make you my wife. How does that sound, baby?âÂ
A sob of overwhelming bliss wrenched free from your lips, your mouth too busy wailing your pleasure to form words to respond.Â
But it didnât matter that you couldnât answer Ariâs question with words because you knew from the way he chuckled in your ear that heâd felt the way your pussy had clenched down on him when heâd said he was going to make you his wife. Your body had answered for you, and it had been much more honest than your mouth wouldâve been.
Ari kept fucking you, perfectly hard and perfectly fast, and the pleasure swirling through your body was reaching a fever pitch. It was almost too much for you to bear, so you turned your head and buried your face against Ariâs thick bicep. Mindless moans spilled from your lips as your teeth pressed instinctively into the hard, flexing muscle.
âThatâs itâbite me, baby,â Ari cooed in your ear while he shoved his other arm under your body, his fingers finding your clit and rubbing the aching bundle of nerves in tight, ruthless circles. âBite me while youâre cumming all over my fat cock like the good girl I know you are.âÂ
Ariâs words and his relentless determination to make you cum were your undoing.Â
You came with a muffled scream, your teeth sinking so deep into Ariâs bicep, you knew youâd leave a mark behind. That thought only made you cum even harder, your body trembling and shaking with the force of the pleasure crashing over you.Â
Ari followed right after you, his hips rutting into you for a few more thrusts before he came with a grunt, his cock twitching as he spilled his seed deep in your pussy. The two of you writhed together, eking out every last shred of pleasure before eventually collapsing on the sun lounger with exhaustion.
Maneuvering the two of you onto your sides, Ari held you in the cradle of his arms, his cock staying wedged deep inside you so you kept him warm as he gradually softened. You dozed off in the comfort of Ariâs hold, feeling his heart beating against your spine and listening to his soft breaths mingling with the gentle lapping of the ocean. Â
After a time, Ari roused you from sleep, murmuring in your ear that the two of you should take a quick dip in the pool before deciding what to order for dinner. The sun had fallen low in the sky, ducking behind the house so that the deck was cast in shade, but the air was still pleasantly warm.Â
The cool water of the pool helped to wake you up, and there was a pleasurable burn in your muscles as you swam and splashed and fooled around with Ari.Â
Before you dragged yourselves from the pool, he fucked you again, using the gentle weightlessness of the water to lift you up and down on his cock while your head lolled against his shoulder and you moaned your pleasure into his neck.
When the two of you finally stumbled back inside, smelling like chlorine and sunshine, Freddie hopped up from the patch of light heâd been laying in at the front of the house. He chirped happily, twisting around your ankles and waiting for a brief pet before he pranced over to Ari.Â
Freddie rubbed his furry body against Ariâs calves, staring up at the man like heâd hung the stars and moon in the sky. Your catâs welcome made the infuriatingly handsome CEO chuckle affectionately while he bent down to scuff the creature under the chin, murmuring soft praises to the beast.Â
It was too much for your heartâtoo sweet and pure and perfectâand you fell in love with Ari Levinson in that exact moment, though it would be many more months before you confessed those feelings to the man himself.Â
By the time you did, Ari would have whispered his love into every inch of your body. When the words finally fell from your lips, he would chuckle, having known it before youâd voiced it, because he knew your heart better than anyone else in the world. Even Freddie.Â
That first Valentineâs Day with Ari was much better than watching trashy TV with a bottle of rosĂŠ. In fact, it was the best youâd ever had. That is, until the next yearâs Valentineâs Day, when Ari whisked you and Freddie off to another tropical location, and fulfilled the promise heâd made about putting a ring on your finger.
The Valentineâs Day after that, Ari Levinson made you his wife. And the two of you lived happily ever after.

Hello! I don't know if you have any rules regarding requests, but I sent you my idea. Arcane women x female reader! Especially Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn. They wanted to have something more intimate with the reader, but she can't because of past experiences and she feels frustrated with herself, and she doesn't feel able to tell her partner because she thinks he will judge and abandon her. Many times, the reader has stayed awake while her partner is sleeping and begins to cry, then her partner wakes up after sobs and finds the reader crying, and she finally confesses her trauma and her love comforts her. Again, if you're uncomfortable with this, you're free not to write it down! Hugs!
Characters: Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn.
Hiii<3 yeahh, I'll do this, and yes, I write for arcane sometimes, I do take requests đ.
Arcane Women x Reader w/ trauma Headcannons
Scenario: The reader struggles with intimacy due to past trauma, afraid of judgment and abandonment. She often stays awake, crying, feeling frustrated herself, and ashamed. Until one night, her partner wakes up and finds her breaking down. Comfort and love follow.
Warning â ď¸: angst, trauma, past abuse, comfort, fluff.
â・ďžâď¸ď˝Ąâ・ ďžâž ďžď˝Ąâ
Before you ended up in Zaun/Piltover and met, vi, Jinx, or caitlyn, your life was far from kind. You had experienced relationships that weren't built on love or trust, just lust, power, control, manipulation, and fear.
You were once with someone who made you feel like your body was something they deserved rather than something you owned. Your bound were ignored - your "no" was met with guilt tripping, anger, or silent treatment until you gave in. You learned to freeze rather than fight back because arguing led to worse outcomes. Over time, you started believing that love was something you had to earn by giving parts of yourself away.
Even after escaping that life, the scars lingered. You told yourself you were free and that no one can hurt you again, but when it comes to intimacy, your body still remembers what it felt like to be powerless.
Kisses sometimes feels like suffocating.
Touch- no matter how gentle - could make your skin crawl.
Even when your partner held you in the safest way, your mind whispered, what if they get tired of waiting? What if they leave?
You love them, but you hated yourself for feeling like this.
-Vi
â Vi had always been patient with you. She never pushes, never pressures you - just waits for you to come to her when you're ready, but she does notice this from the beginning of the relationship. How you'd tense slightly when things got to heated. How your kisses always stopped before they could get too deep. She doesn't pressure you or anything. She waits for to be ready, but what she doesn't know is that you don't think you'll ever be ready.
âTonight is another restless night. You lie beside vi, staring at the ceiling while she sleeps, steady and warm next to you. You wish you could be at peace like that, but the weight on your chest won't let you breathe properly. You bite lips, trying to hold the tears back, but your body betrays you. A quiet sob escapes before you can stop it.
âA slight shift, then a groggy, sleep rough voice:
â"Babe?" Her voice is thick with sleep, but the concern is immediate.
âShe sees you curled up, shaking. Something in her chest hurts.
âShe reaches out, but the moment her hand brushes your back, you flinch. That makes her freeze.
â"Talk to me, sweetheart."
âYou shake your head, hands gripping the sheets like they're the only thing keeping you together. "I'm sorry," you whisper.
â"For what?" Vi asks, brow furrowing.
âYou try to explain how you want to be normal, how you hate that you pull away when she touches you, how you're afraid she'll get frustrated and walk away like everyone else did. Your voice cracks as you confess what happened in the past, how you were used, how your body never felt like yours.
âVi listens, silent, herfists clenching under the blankets. Not at you, but at the people who did this to you. At the world that made you feel so fucking small.
âShe leans in, gently tilting your chin up so you can see her eyes - so full of love and unwavering devotion.
â"You never have to apologize for this. Ever." She kisses your forehead, slow and lingering. "I don't need anything from you, okay? Just you. However you are, whenever you're ready. And if you're never ready? That's fine, too."
âYour breath hitches. "But... what if you get tired of waiting?
âVi huffs a small laugh, but there's no humor in it - only warmth.
â"Then I'll wait longer."
âFor the first time in a long time, you believe someone.
-Jinx
âJinx sleeps like the dead usually, but tonight, something pulls her from her dreams - maybe it's instinct, maybe it's the way the bed feels too cold despite your body being right there.
âAnd then she hears it. Soft, muffled crying, her heart clenches.
â Jinx turns over, rubbing her eyes, then freezes when she sees you curled up, facing away from her, shoulders shaking.
â"Babe?"
âYou stiffen, hurriedly wiping your face. "Sorry, I - just go back to sleep."
âJinx isn't having it. Within seconds, she's hovering over you, pressing her forehead against the back of your head.
â"Nuh-uh, nice try. What's wrong, sugarplum?"
âYou try to hold it in. You do. But the moment she snakes an arm around your waist, anchoring you to her, it all comes spilling out in broken whispers.
âJinx listens. And for once, she doesn't joke, doesn't deflect - just holds you, silent and still, until you're done. When you finally stop, she exhales a shaky breath.
â"Damn, that's been eatin' at you this whole time, huh?" You nodded.
âJinx is quiet for a long moment, and then she turns you into her arms, cupping your face. "Listen up, cause I ain't sayin' this twice. You? You're the best damn thing that's ever happened to me. And I don't give a shit if we ever do anything like that. I just want you, yeah?" Tears spill over again, but this time, there's relief in them.
âJinx smirks softly, brushing a thumb over your cheek. "Now come here, lemme squeeze the sadness outta ya." She pulls you against her, tucking you under her chin, holding you like she'll never let go, Because she won't.
-Caitlyn Kirraman
âCaitlyn has always been patient, but tonight, when she wakes to the sound of your quiet sobs, her heart shatters.
â"Darling?" Her voice is soft, laced with concern. You curl in on yourself. "I- I can't do this."
â"Do what?" Caitlyn sits up, brushing her fingers over your back. "Be what you deserve." Caitlyn breath catches, "love, look at me."
âYou hesitate, but finally do. And when you see her face - soft, full of love, worried - the words come pouring out.
âYou tell her everything. The past, the guilt, the fear that she'll leave. Caitlyn listens, her hand gently rubbing yours.
â"I wish I could take the pain away." She says softly. "I wish I could erase every horrible thing they did to you. But since I can't... let me show you that love doesn't have to be like that."
âYou choke back a sob.
âCaitlyn presses a tender kiss to your knuckles. "No matter what, I'm here. We go at your pace, always."
âHer words wrap around you like the warmest blanket. And finally, after all these years, you believe it.

report heist!
summary: frustrated with your boss, you vent in a report, typing out everything you really wanted to say: how stupid, annoying, and foul he is. only problem? you forget to delete it before handing it in. now, you're stuck asking the office golden boy, soobin, for help. and of course... he's also the guy who loves to tease you. perfect timing, huh?
genre: fluff!!! a little suggestive!
characters: soobin x f!reader
words: 8k
warnings: suggestive!! kissing! soobin is a huge tease!!!!!!!!! very big tease!!!
Soobin had always been annoyingly perfect. The golden boy of the officeâtrusted by management, respected by colleagues, and somehow never making mistakes. If there was ever a crisis, people turned to him. If there was ever a project in chaos, he magically pulled it together.
You, on the other hand, were⌠not like that.
It wasnât that you were bad at your job. You were just real about it. You got things done, but you also werenât above rolling your eyes at pointless meetings or sighing dramatically when given extra work at 6 PM. And while everyone else treated Soobin like some workplace messiah, you saw him for what he really wasâa smug, infuriating know-it-all.
Not that you two hated each other.
But you didnât exactly get along either.
Your dynamic mostly consisted of him making some dry, borderline condescending comment, and you firing back with an exaggerated eye-roll or a sarcastic comeback. Heâd smirk, youâd groan, and that was just how things worked. A never-ending cycle of teasing and bickering, neither of you willing to let the other win.
Soobin was predictable. Reliable. Annoyingly competent.
It was late, and the office was quieter than usual. You were at your desk, trying to focus on the report that had somehow become your lifeâs work for the past hour, when you heard his aggravating voice.
âAre you done, pretty?â
You froze for a moment, glancing up to see Soobin leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, his trademark smirk playing at the corners of his lips. The nickname was nothing new.
Pretty. Heâd been calling you that ever since you two had crossed paths at the office, and at first, you werenât sure how to feel about it. It wasnât exactly a complimentâit didnât carry the sweetness of an endearment or the weight of a genuine compliment. It was like a tease, a little jab, almost like he was testing you. But at the same time, it wasnât insulting. It was just... Soobin.
You hated how he knew exactly how to catch your attention with it, how it always made your heart flutter for a fraction of a second, before you could remind yourself that it was just his thing. It wasnât real. But, in a weird way, youâd gotten used to it
You glanced up to see Soobin leaning casually against the doorframe, his arms crossed, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips.
âAre you ever not done with your work?â you shot back, tapping your pen on the desk.Â
He chuckled, unfazed. âItâs called doing it right the first time, but I suppose you wouldnât know anything about that.â
You rolled your eyes so dramatically it almost hurt. Oh right, I forgot youâre perfect,â You emphasized the sarcasm with a dramatic bow of your head. âPlease, Soobin, tell me more about how you manage to single-handedly solve every crisis known to mankind.â
He raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying the banter. âIf only youâd be a little more grateful, maybe I wouldnât have to save you every time you get in over your head.â
âSave me?â You scoffed, leaning back in your chair. âPlease. Iâm fine on my own.â
He chuckled again, but this time, the glint in his eyes shifted, the playful edge softening. âRight. But if you need help with that report, you know where to find me.â
âNo thanks. Iâll take my chances,â you said, tapping away at your keyboard with a smile of your own.
âIâll make a note of that,â Soobin said, straightening up. âYou sure youâre not just stalling because you know youâre about to hand in something thatâs... less than perfect?â
You shot him a glare, but there was no real heat behind it. âSays the guy whoâs never even had a typo in his life. Oh, look at me, Iâm Mr. Perfect. Do you never get tired of being that person?â
He smiled, the corners of his mouth curving slightly in that way that always seemed to get under your skin. âItâs not my fault Iâm good at what I do.â
âOh, I know,â you muttered, trying to focus on the screen and not the smugness practically oozing from him. âYouâre perfect, and Iâm not.â
âYouâŚso get me.â He grinned.
With that, he turned to leave, but not before giving you one last teasing glance over his shoulder.
You watched him go, shaking your head. âAsshole,â you muttered, but there was no real malice in the words.
This was just the way things were between you and Soobin. A game of teasing, one-upmanship, and never admitting you might actually enjoy the banter.Â
But honestly? It wasnât all that bad.
Which is why, when your entire career was suddenly hanging by a thread, he was the first person you turned to. Not like you had a choice.
It was simple, really.
You had been furiously typing out your report, but somewhere along the way, frustration got the better of you. What started as a formal document quickly turned into a vent session filled with complaints about your workload, a few choice words about your boss, and some deeply unprofessional thoughts you wished had never been typed out.
Honestly, you blamed your boss. Five new assignments dumped on you when you were barely staying afloat with the ones you already had? Ridiculous. Typing out your grievances directly into the report might not have been the smartest move, but in the heat of the moment, it felt oddly therapeutic.
Of course, that moment of catharsis didnât last long.
"Meeting. Five minutes," someone called out, snapping you from your thoughts.
You barely had time to process before you were being pulled away.
âWhatâs this meeting even about? As if we donât already have a million things to do,â you groaned, slumping into your chair beside Taehyun, your work bestie and unofficial partner in suffering.
He let out an equally exhausted sigh. âProbably something about Yeonjun kicking the copier. Did you hear? Itâs broken.â
You scoffed. âThat fiend.â
The meeting dragged on longer than expected. And Taehyun was right. After about 10 minutes of actual work, your boss had rambled on endlessly about how, as staff, we should be more responsible for the equipment. By the time you were finally free, you were drained, restless, and already counting down the minutes until the workday ended.
"Any last reports for the boss?" Taehyun asked, stretching as he stood. "I'm heading up there now, so you can pass them to me."
You perked up. âOh shit! Yeah, hold onâIâll just quickly print this.â
Without a second thought, you grabbed the freshly printed report and handed it to him.
Taehyun gave you a skeptical look. âYou sure you donât wanna double-check?â
âI already did before the meeting. Have a little faith in me,â you grinned, nudging his arm.
He shrugged. âAlright~ but donât say I didnât warn you.â
And you wishedâdesperately wishedâyou had listened to him.
An hour later, as you finally settled back at your desk and absentmindedly scrolled through your digital files, your heart stopped.
There it was.
A horror story in the form of a report.
Every single frustrated thought, every unfiltered complaint, every passive-aggressive remark you swore you had deletedâall of it had made it into the document you had just handed in.
âOh my god,â you whispered, your stomach plummeting.
You had just submitted a disaster.
Panic surged through you like a tidal wave, your mind spinning with worst-case scenarios. If your boss read this, you were done. Fired. Blacklisted. Never to be employed again.
And worst of all, it was already in his office.
Your eyes darted around the now-empty office space. It was nearly 7 PM. Most employees had already left.
Except for one person.
Soobin.
Standing near his desk, the companyâs golden boy was tidying up, getting ready to leave. He looked up when he caught you staring, raising an eyebrow.
âWhy are you still here?â Soobin asked, shoving a folder into his bag as he glanced at you curiously.
You stood frozen a few feet away, your heart pounding.
There was only one way out of this.
You swallowed hard, took a deep breath, and willed yourself to move toward the one person who mightâjust mightâbe able to help you.
Even if he was the last person you ever wanted to owe a favor to.
Soobin, the golden boy of the office. The bossâs most trusted manager. The one person who never did anything wrong, who always followed protocol, and who somehow managed to stay in everyoneâs good graces. You werenât sure if you respected him or just found him insufferable.
Actually, scratch that. You definitely found him insufferable. Most of the time.
You werenât going to ask him for help. Not if it was the last thing you did. You hated asking for helpâespecially from a marketing kiss-up like him.
God, you really wished Taehyun was still here.
But you had no choice.
You inhaled sharply. âCould youânevermind.â
Soobin narrowed his eyes. âCould youâjust tell me already?â he repeated mockingly, his voice an exaggerated version of your own.
Your nose scrunched in irritation. âI⌠I need your help.â
That got his attention. He shut his bag, crossing his arms as he leaned slightly against his desk, a smirk creeping onto his lips. âYou? Asking me for help? Thatâs new.â
You groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. âDonât make this worse.â
âOh, I absolutely will, pretty,â he grinned. âGo on, whatâs so bad that I,the person you claim to âbarely tolerateâ, am your only hope?â
You gritted your teeth. He was enjoying this way too much.
Taking a deep breath, you glanced around to make sure no one else was in earshot before lowering your voice. âI submitted the wrong report.â
Soobin blinked. âOkay⌠and?â
âAnd it wasnât just the wrong report,â you admitted, voice barely above a whisper. âIt had⌠things in it.â
His brows furrowed. âThings?â
You hesitated, your stomach twisting. âThings that⌠should never reach the bossâs eyes.â
For a moment, Soobin just stared at you, processing your words. Then, realization dawned on his face. His lips parted slightly before curving into an infuriatingly amused smirk.
âOh my god,â he murmured, his tone practically dripping with amusement. âYou trashed the boss in your report, didnât you?â
You let out a strangled noise of frustration. âSoobin.â
He barked out a laugh. âNo way. No way. This is gold. Absolute gold!â
You wanted to die. Right then and there.
âAre you going to help me or not?â you snapped, crossing your arms.
Still grinning, he rocked back on his heels, considering. âHmm. Whatâs in it for me?â
You gawked at him. âAre you serious?â
âDead serious.â He folded his arms across his chest, tilting his head. âYou want me to commit office theft for you? Iâd say thatâs a huge risk. SoâŚâ He leaned in slightly. âWhat do I get in return?â
Your hands curled into fists at your sides. âYouâre unbelievable.â
âMaybe,â he mused, unfazed. âBut Iâm also your only option, pretty.â
Your eye twitched. You wracked your brain for somethingâanythingâto hold over him. And then, like a gift from the heavens, it hit you.
A slow smirk spread across your face. âActually⌠I do have something.â
Soobinâs confident expression faltered for just a second. ââŚWhat?â
âOh, nothing.â You feigned nonchalance, inspecting your nails. âJust a little something I may have overheard in the break room last week.â
His eyes narrowed. âOh? Like what?â
You shrugged, drawing out the suspense. âWell, I certainly found out that the break roomâs cââ
Before you could finish, Soobin lunged forward, clamping a hand over your mouth. His gaze was sharp, his voice low. âWho else did you tell?â
You blinked up at him, feigning innocence. âNo one. I promise.â
His jaw tightened. âYouâre bluffing.â
âAm I?â You grinned, tilting your head. âI mean⌠I could always accidentally mention it in the team group chatâŚâ
His eyes darkened slightly. âYou wouldnât dare.â
You raised a brow.
A beat of silence passed.
Then, with a sigh, Soobin dragged a hand down his face. âFine,â he muttered, clearly defeated. âIâll help you.â
Victory.
âGreat,â you chirped, already grabbing his wrist and pulling him toward the elevators. âLetâs go.â
âYouâre the worst,â he grumbled.
âAnd yet, here you are,â you teased.
Soobin groaned as you dragged him along, but you could see the ghost of a smile tugging at his lips.
The two of you had a long night ahead.
The elevator ride to the top floor was agonizingly slow. You kept fidgeting, glancing at the glowing numbers as they ticked upward, while Soobin leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching you with mild amusement.
âYou look like youâre about to throw up,â he remarked.
âI might.â
âWell, aim it away from me.â
You shot him a glare, but before you could retort, the elevator dinged, and the doors slid open. The two of you cautiously stepped out into the dimly lit hallway. The floor was eerily quiet. Maybe everything was scarier because you were about to commit a crime. Ish.
Soobin moved ahead, peeking around the corner toward your bossâs office. You followed closely behind, your heart pounding.
âOkay,â Soobin whispered. âIf the coast is clear, weââ
He suddenly froze, and you nearly bumped into him.
âWhat? What is it?â you whispered back, but he just nodded toward the office.
You slowly peeked over his shoulder, and your stomach dropped.
The office light was still on.
And through the glass panel, you could see your boss sitting at his desk, deep in conversation with a colleague.
âShit,â you exhaled.
Soobin turned to you, lips twitching. âWell, this is fantastic news.â
âWe wait,â you whispered, pressing yourself against the wall. âHeâs bound to leave eventually.â
Soobin sighed, rubbing his temples. âYou owe me for this.â
âI know,â you muttered.
And so, the two of you stood in the shadows, eavesdropping and waiting for the moment your boss would finally leave.
The hushed voices from inside the office were clearer than you expected. You had meant to eavesdrop just enough to know when your boss would leave, but instead, you and Soobin were now unintentionally listening in on something way more confidential than either of you had bargained for.
ââŚAre you sure the dataâs accurate?â your boss's voice was low and serious.
âI double-checked the calculations. The margin of error is within acceptable range, but we canât be hasty about the decisions weâre making next week at the meeting,â your colleague responded.
A silence stretched between them before your boss sighed. âIf this gets out, itâs both our heads.â
Your eyes widened. What the hell are they talking about? You turned to Soobin, only to see he looked equally alarmed.
âWe should not be listening to this,â you mouthed, but before he could respondâ
The door to the janitorâs closet beside you suddenly swung open.
You barely had a second to react before Soobin grabbed you and pushed you aside, his body pressing flush against yours as he shielded you from view. The janitor stepped out, wheeling a mop bucket past the two of you, completely oblivious.
Your breath hitched. Soobinâs chest was solid against you, the warmth of his body seeping through your clothes. His head was angled slightly downward, close, a little too close. He was still focused on the office door, unaware of just how fast your heart was now racing.
But you werenât looking at the office anymore.
You were looking at him.
Your pulse pounded as you took in the sharp line of his jaw, the way his lips parted slightly as he exhaled. He was so close that you could see the flecks of brown in his dark eyes.
And thenâalmost as if he sensed itâSoobin finally looked down.
Your breath hitched.
The space between you was nearly nonexistent, your lips just inches apart. You could feel his breath on your skin, warm and steady, and suddenly, the air felt unbearably thick.
Neither of you moved. Neither of you spoke.
Your mind screamed at you to look away, to break the tension, to remind yourself that this was Soobin, the insufferable tease who took far too much joy in teasing you.
But at that moment, he wasnât teasing. He wasnât smirking.
He was just looking at you.
You cleared your throat, quickly turning away, âItâs hot, isnât it?â you said, fanning yourself with your hand. âIs the AC off or something?â
âWell, we are the only ones left in the building,â Soobin said, his voice still close enough that you could feel the words brush against your skin.
You were doing everything you could to ignore how his proximity was affecting you. But it was hard. Way too hard. And then, just when you thought it couldnât get worse, Soobinâs fingers brushed over your jaw. His touch was so light, so teasing, and thenâwithout warningâhe pinched your chin, gently forcing you to look up at him.
âAre you scared?â he whispered, his voice low, almost too soft.
âN-no,â you stammered, trying to turn your head away, but his grip tightened, not allowing you to look anywhere but at him.
âDonât look away,â he murmured, his voice sending a shiver down your spine.
âS-Soobin,â you managed to get out, breath catching in your throat.
Then, in a move that made your heart stop, Soobin leaned in even closer, so close that your lips were nearly touching. Time seemed to slow, and you felt your breath hitch in your chest. What was happening? Was he going to kiss you?
Your eyes fluttered closed, ready for something you werenât sure you were prepared for. But just as suddenly as it had started, Soobin pushed you away.
âGod, that janitor... was not leaving...â His attention shifted abruptly to the janitor, who had finally wandered into another room.
You blinked rapidly, trying to steady your breath, your heart still racing.Â
âRightâŚthe janitor.â You mumbled under your breath.
Soobin turned to you, his gaze mischievous, and a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. "Wait. Did you think I was going to kiss you?"
You shook your head defensively, voice rising as you tried to put distance between your racing heart and his teasing words. "No!"
But instead of backing off, Soobin took a step closer, closing the space even more. His arms caged you in, pressing you gently against the cool wall, and your breath caught in your throat. He leaned in, his face now dangerously close, his eyes glinting with something that was half amusement, half something darker.
"Youâre gonna have to lower your volume there, pretty," he murmured, his breath warm against your cheek. âUnless, of course, you donât mind them finding out weâre here.â
Your heart racing as he hovered just a breath away, his words lingering like smoke in the quiet room. You were sure you were going to lose your mind if he kept up with thisâteasing, so close, his words sinking under your skin. He always knew how to get to you, and right now, it was unbearable.
His lips quirked up again, a playful glint in his eye. âWhat? You really thought I was gonna kiss you, didnât you?â he teased, his voice low, mocking. âItâs okay, pretty, I get it. I can be hard to resist.â
Your chest tightened in irritation. You could feel the heat rising to your cheeks as your patience finally snapped.
âMove,â you spat, spinning on your heel and storming off. âYouâre being annoying.â
He was right on your heels, his footsteps quick and light as he followed you through the hallway, but you didnât care. Your mind was racing, anger bubbling up and threatening to spill over. You were done with this ridiculous back-and-forth, this constant teasing.
"Hey, hey, hold up," Soobin called out, his voice a little more serious now, but the usual smirk didnât leave his face. "Where are you going? Come on, youâre not really upset, are you? I was just kidding."
You didnât answer him, focusing on your stride as you headed for the elevator. You didnât need to be around him any longer than necessary tonight. You could just wait downstairs. You could do it alone.
Then, as if on cue, the sound of a door opening caught your attention, and you froze. You caught sight of your boss walking out of his office, followed by your colleague.
And then, without missing a beat, Soobin shoved you back slightly, just enough to send you stumbling into him. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you close as he whispered, âStay calm.â
Your breath caught as his voice dropped, turning smooth and calm. âI promise, Iâll get you anything you want, baby,â he said, the words coming out in a fake, but believable, tone. You couldnât help but look up at him, your heart racing from both the sudden closeness and his complete shift in demeanor.
You tried to push him away but found yourself unable to do so, too flustered and caught off guard. Soobin had that effect on you more often than you liked to admit.
He continued, his voice dripping with faux sweetness as your boss and colleague walked past, oblivious to the scene unfolding. âAre you okay, pretty? You look like youâre about to faint,â he said a little louder, the corners of his mouth twitching as he kept up the act.
Your face heated, embarrassment stirring within you. Soobinâs hands were still on your waist, and you could feel his warmth pressing into you as if it were real.
You tried to muster a response, but nothing came out. Instead, you let out a frustrated sigh, your eyes darting away. This was the last thing you wanted to deal with tonight. But Soobin wasnât making it easy.
âRelax,â he murmured again, his lips barely brushing your ear. âWeâve got this. Youâve got this.â
And as much as you hated to admit it, you couldnât help but feel a weird sense of relief in his words, even if it was all just a part of the act.
âI just..â You began. âI canât believe you did that.â You said, acting aloof and distant from your âboyfriendâ.
Your bossâs voice echoed through the hallway as he cleared his throat, causing you to freeze in your tracks. You looked up just in time to see Soobin's fake shock as he stepped back, putting himself between you and the oncoming threat that was Mr. Choi.
âOh, Mr. Choi!â Soobin said, his eyes wide as though he'd been caught in some act of high treason. You, however, were already in full panic mode, ducking behind Soobin's towering figure, hoping the giant wall of him would conceal you.
You were never going to live this down.
Mr. Choi peered over Soobinâs shoulder with a raised brow. âI didnât think the two of you would still be here,â he said, a casual tone in his voice.Â
âIâm sorry, we thought everyone went home.â Soobin grinned, offering a âgenuineâ apology.
You were practically squished behind Soobin now, your heart racing as you pressed your face into the back of his jacket, praying the ground would open up and swallow you whole.
But your boss was persistent, leaning forward slightly as he caught sight of you behind Soobinâs broad frame. His eyes sparkled with amusement, and a knowing grin spread across his face. âWell, duty calls,â Mr. Choi joked, his eyes shifting between the two of you before he pointed at the both of you, âI didnât realize the two of you were together.â
You felt the blood drain from your face, and before you could even open your mouth to protest, Soobin smoothly cut you off.
âItâs a recent thing,â Soobin said, his voice smooth like butter, and you could hear the grin in his tone as he glanced back at you with a wink. âUnfortunately, I might have made my beautiful girlfriend a little upset.â He shot you an exaggerated apologetic look, like the world's biggest puppy dog. âIâm sorry for bringing her here. It was the first place I thought ofâŚâ
You opened your mouth to object, about to shout, No! This is not happening!, but Soobin held up a hand, cutting you off again.
âI mean,â Soobin continued, pointing to the garden just outside Mr. Choi's office, âLook at this beautiful, romantic garden. Where else would a guy bring his upset girlfriend after a long day at work?â
Your jaw dropped as you stared at him, your eyes wide with disbelief. âYouâre unbelievable,â you whispered through gritted teeth, trying to shrink even more into Soobinâs shadow.
Mr. Choi chuckled, clearly enjoying the scene unfolding before him. âWell, if you two really want to be alone,â he said with a mischievous grin, âthe eleventh and fourteenth floors are usually... well, uh, pretty free,â he added, his tone playful as he glanced between the two of you. âGuess Iâll just leave you to it. Iâllâuhâsee you both on Monday.â
With that, he winked and walked away, leaving you and Soobin standing there, both still in shock from the unexpected turn of events.
âSee you Monday, Mr. Choi,â Soobin said, practically glowing now that he had made you the center of attention.
As Mr. Choi walked away, you peeked out from behind Soobinâs back, trying to recover from the embarrassment. âIâm going to kill you,â you muttered under your breath.
Soobin flashed you that smug, knowing grin of his. âWell, if youâre going to be mad at me, pretty, I might as well make it worth your while.â
You rolled your eyes and walked into the office, making sure Mr. Choi had left. The two of you immediately started rummaging through his things, hoping to find the damn report that had put you in this situation.
After all, it was the reportâs fault, not yours.
âIâm sure itâs around here somewhere,â Soobin muttered under his breath, his hands moving through the papers with increasing frustration. âI didnât think this would be how weâd be spending our Friday night.â
Your heart nearly leapt out of your chest when the sound of the door clicking open reached your ears. Panic set in as you froze, and you and Soobin shared a quick glance. Without thinking, you both dove under the desk, hiding just in time as Mr. Choi walked into the room, still chatting on the phone.
"Yeah, Iâll just be another minute, I just forgot my damn car keys," he said casually, pacing across the room as he continued his conversation. You could hear the faint click of his shoes against the floor, and every move felt exaggerated in the suffocating quiet.
You and Soobin were practically inches apart now, hiding under the desk in such tight quarters that you could feel the heat radiating off his body. You tried to keep your breathing quiet, but it felt impossible with your heart pounding in your chest.
âSo, whatâs the plan here?â Soobin whispered, his voice too loud for your liking in the silent room.
âShut up,â you hissed, covering his mouth with your hand. âJust⌠donât make a sound.â
Mr. Choi continued his phone conversation, oblivious to the fact that two people were currently hiding under his desk, just a few feet away. He was talking about his weekend plans, completely unaware of the chaos brewing underneath him.
"Yeah, I think Iâll check out that new restaurant we talked about," Mr. Choi said, pausing to listen to whoever was on the phone. "Iâll just wrap things up here and be out in a bit."
You held your breath as Soobin shifted slightly, and you had to resist the urge to make a sound when his knee brushed against yours. The confined space was doing strange things to your awareness of his presence, and your heartbeat wasnât exactly making the situation any better.
âWe need to get out of here,â you whispered, more to yourself than to Soobin, but you couldn't stop the awkward tension from mounting.
âIâm not the one who got us stuck under a desk,â Soobin replied, his voice dripping with amusement.
You both remained frozen under the desk, holding your breath as Mr. Choiâs footsteps drew nearer. The air felt thick with tension. Just as you thought you might explode from the anxiety, Mr. Choi's voice rang out, âAhhh, there they are.â
He was dangerously close now, and Soobin pushed you further into the corner, his arm brushing against your side. You felt his breath against your face, the proximity sending a wave of flustered panic through you.
You didnât dare move, barely breathing as Soobinâs hands gently rested above yours, trying to steady your racing heart. Time seemed to freeze as Mr. Choi lingered, completely unaware of the two of you hiding under his desk. When he finally left, you let out a sigh of relief, feeling like you had just run a marathon without moving an inch.
âI was going to shit my pants,â you muttered, letting out a nervous laugh.
âWell, youâre going to love me extra for this but,â Soobin teased, his voice still low with the lingering tension. âGuess what?â
âWhat?â
âI found it.â His voice held a sense of triumph as he reached behind you, pulling the report from the folder.
You grinned widely, throwing your arms around him in a spontaneous embrace. âOh my god. Thank you, thank you, thank you!â
The two of you stayed there for a moment, still under the desk, the space between you shrinking with each passing second. It was so quiet, so close. Neither of you moved to leave. It felt...comfortable, despite everything. Until the initial warmth of the hug lingered for just a bit too long.
Soobin cleared his throat, breaking the moment.
âOh, right,â you stammered, quickly trying to pull away, but the movement was a bit too sudden.
âUh, sorry, Iâuhâ my watch is caught in your hair,â Soobin said, voice tinged with embarrassment.
You froze, his fingers brushing your hair as he gently untangled his watch. The proximity felt electrifying, too close for comfort, but somehow, you didnât mind. Your eyes met, just inches away, both of you frozen in the charged air, breathing the same air.
Then, almost instinctively, Soobinâs hand brushed against your cheek as he worked to free his watch. The slight touch sent a shiver down your spine, making your heart race again. You could feel the pull between you, a heartbeat away from something more, something that felt almost inevitable.
But just as his hand finally slipped free from your hair, you both pulled back quickly, the tension thick in the air. Neither of you spoke at first, but the silence carried a weight of what just almost happened.
You both finally crawled out from under the desk, your heart still pounding in your chest. Soobin cleared his throat again, trying to ease the tension. His voice was much lighter now, almost teasing.
âSo,â he began, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips. âLet me see what this report youâre so afraid our boss will see says.â
Your eyes widened in panic, and you bolted toward Soobin, practically diving for the report. But of course, Soobin, being annoyingly tall and fast, immediately pulled it out of the folder, holding it just out of your reach.
You tried to grab it again, but he was way too quick for you, effortlessly keeping the report away from your grasp. âSoobin, give it back!â you protested, your voice tinged with desperation.
But he just laughed, scanning through the pages with an amused gleam in his eyes. âLetâs see what we have hereâŚâ He began reading aloud, his voice slowly growing more playful.
ââMr. Choi is a pain in the ass⌠He looks like he belongs in the cast of Glee with how theatrical his ass isâŚHe smells like piss and is a fuckingâhold onâŚâ Soobin grinned.Â
âAnd what do we have here?ââ He snickered, clearly enjoying this a little too much.
You groaned in embarrassment, still trying to grab the folder from him, but Soobin seemed to be enjoying every second of your discomfort. âSoobin, big, stupid idiot? Heâs annoying and distracting..Mr and Mrs Choi.â His eyebrows raised in amusement.
Your face flushed crimson, and you quickly covered your face with your hands, cringing at the very real words youâd written. But Soobin wasnât stopping. His voice softened as he continued to read aloud, now clearly savoring the moment.
ââThe more I think about him⌠the more I liâââ He paused, his voice growing quieter, a soft smile forming on his lips. Realizing how much he was teasing you, Soobin stopped reading aloud, his gaze flicking to you with a knowing look. But he didnât finish the sentence out loud. Instead, he silently read the rest in his head, his smile turning a little more sincere.
Your heart skipped a beat. You felt your breath catch in your throat, realizing that youâd just given him a very honest glimpse into your thoughts. You didn't know how to respond at first. He was staring at you with that calm, almost knowing look, his eyes gentle but full of something that made your insides turn to mush.
âGive me that, you⌠idiot,â you muttered, trying to break the tension. On your tiptoes, you reached up, swiping the folder from his hands. âYou shouldnât go around reading things that donât belong to you.â
Soobin raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips. âWell, my name is in the report,â he teased, still clearly amused by your flustered reaction.
You glared up at him, but your cheeks were burning, betraying your attempt at being serious. âIt wasnât meant for you to see,â you shot back, though the words felt a little weaker than intended. You could feel the heat of his gaze still lingering on you as you clutched the report to your chest, not sure whether to laugh or groan.
You stood there, holding the report tightly to your chest, trying your best to ignore the heat spreading across your face. You could feel the weight of Soobinâs teasing eyes on you, his smirk never faltering. Every time you tried to focus on something else, heâd nudge you, inching closer with that mischievous glint in his eyes.
âYou know,â Soobin said, his voice low and teasing, âyouâre really cute when youâre embarrassed. Iâm almost starting to think you like me or something.â He nudged you again, his shoulder brushing against yours, sending a jolt through your body.
âShut up,â you muttered, too embarrassed to look at him directly. But the teasing in his voice made it impossible to ignore him. You could feel your heart pounding in your chest, and you desperately tried to maintain some semblance of composure.
But Soobin wasnât done. He took another step closer, leaning in just enough for his breath to brush against your ear. âI didnât say I didnât feel the same way,â he murmured, the words a little softer now but no less teasing.
You blinked, your heart thumping louder in your chest as the situation suddenly shifted. The warmth of Soobinâs body was all around you, the space between you now a mere breath. Before you could process what was happening, he gently but firmly pushed you against the wall, his arms caging you in, trapping you in a way that left you feeling both flustered and exhilarated.
You swallowed hard, trying to steady your racing pulse. âLook, itâs getting late, we shouldââ You didnât get to finish your sentence before he interrupted, his voice smooth, teasing, and oh-so-close.
âWe should?â He tilted his head just slightly, his lips curling up into that knowing smirk. There was a challenge in his eyes, but it wasnât the usual playful one. This one felt different.
Your breath hitched, a wave of warmth rushing to your cheeks as you suddenly realized how close he was. You had never been this close to him before (well other than 20 minutes ago when he had pushed you aside to hide), and the way he was looking at you made your insides feel like they were melting. His cologne was intoxicating, and it left you momentarily lost for words.Â
âW-we should head home,â you stammered, your voice barely above a whisper as you tried to avoid meeting his eyes.
But Soobin wasnât backing down. His gaze softened just slightly as he leaned in a little closer, the distance between you two closing with each passing second. âBut I finally got to find out how you feel,â he murmured, his breath warm against your face. âShouldnât we celebrate a little?â
Your heart skipped a beat. His words hung in the air like a fragile promise, and for a moment, you felt like you were floating. You had to look away, unable to hold his gaze any longer. âIâI didnât mean for you to read that,â you stuttered, words tumbling out in a jumble of confusion and embarrassment.
But Soobin wasnât letting you escape that easily. His voice dropped lower, just a touch playful but with an undeniable hint of something more. âYou sure do enjoy looking away from me, huh, pretty?â
The nicknameâthe one you hadnât really known how to feel about beforeâsuddenly felt different now. It wasnât just a teasing remark anymore. It was like a subtle confession, like he was reminding you of the very thing you were trying to ignore. Your heart fluttered wildly in your chest, and all you could do was stand there, breathless, your pulse racing as his presence enveloped you.
You didnât know what to say, didnât know how to respond. Soobinâs teasing tone, combined with the way he held you in place, made it almost impossible to think straight. But before you could even begin to process it, you felt his fingers gently brush against your cheek, guiding your face back toward his.
âDonât avoid me now,â he whispered, his voice soft but filled with an unspoken desire. His eyes were fixed on yours, intense, searching, waiting for somethingâa response, a confirmation.
And for once, you didnât look away.
Soobin's voice broke through the tension between you two, a teasing, yet somehow vulnerable edge to it. âSo, pretty, it says here, specifically, that you have feelings for me. Are you going to attest to that?â His eyes glinted with something dangerous.
You froze, unsure of how to respond. The words youâd written, the confession that had slipped out without you even realizing it, were impossible to ignore.Â
Your breath hitched as your heart raced, and all you could do was stammer out the question that was on your mind.
âHow?â The single word escaped your lips, softer than you intended.
A slow smile spread across Soobinâs face, and the space between you two seemed to shrink even further. His eyes locked onto yours, unwavering. âI can think of a few ways.â His tone was low, smooth, and he took a subtle step closer, his breath just a whisper away from your skin. You could feel the heat radiating from his body, his presence overwhelming in the best way possible.
Your pulse quickened as you felt the weight of his words. Ways? Was he really going there? But before you could react, you found yourself reminded that you were completely trapped, both by the closeness of your bodies and the raw intensity in his gaze.
His hand brushed against your arm, a touch so light it sent shivers down your spine. His fingers lingered there for just a moment, the sensation burning through the fabric of your shirt, drawing you closer into the orbit of his presence. Your breath caught in your throat as he leaned in slightly, his lips brushing just past your ear as he spoke again, his voice barely above a whisper.
âI donât want to force you into anything, but⌠if youâre going to admit it,â he murmured, âIâm definitely open to⌠exploring what comes next.â
The words made your head spin, and despite every ounce of your pride telling you to keep your composure, you felt yourself falter. Soobinâs teasing tone, combined with his unrelenting closeness, left you breathless, caught somewhere between feeling flustered and finally giving in to what youâd been holding back for so long.
You swallowed hard, the words lodged in your throat, unable to escape. âOr we could just go home,â Soobin suggested, his hands slowly leaving the walls as he turned, his voice a little softer, almost reluctant but mainly teasing.
But something shifted inside youâa sudden burst of courage, or maybe it was just the overwhelming feeling of him so close, that you couldnât ignore any longer. Without thinking, you reached out and grabbed his arms, pulling him back toward you. It might have been the most reckless move you'd ever madeâor maybe the bestâbut in that moment, you didnât care.
You pulled him in, your lips crashing against his with a sudden urgency. His breath hitched for a second before he kissed you back, just as urgently, as though he'd been waiting for this as much as you had. The kiss was soft, tender at first, and then it deepened, both of you losing yourselves in the moment. His hands found their way to your waist, pulling you against him, the heat between you rising with every second.
You were acutely aware of how his lips felt, the gentle pressure and the way they moved against yours, teasing, but also claiming you in the same breath. Your pulse raced, and you couldnât help but melt into him. His presence was overwhelming, every inch of him invading your senses. You felt his warmth, the strong beat of his heart against yours, and the way he held you close as if he couldnât get enough.
You ran your hands along the back of his neck, pulling him closer as the kiss deepened. Your breaths became shallow, struggling to catch air, but you couldn't bring yourself to pull away. Reluctantly, you pulled your hands back, but before you could react, he gently pinned them above your head. His fingers pried open your clenched fists, slowly intertwining your fingers with his, holding you in place.
His hands gripped your thighs, lifting you effortlessly as he pressed you against the wall. You instinctively wrapped your legs around him, straddling his waist. His strength was overwhelming, the heat between you both palpable as your bodies aligned, your breath shallow and quick. You could feel every inch of him, his chest rising and falling with his breaths, his hands steady against your skin.
He gently shifted, guiding you with ease, and before you knew it, he had you placed on top of the desk. His hands slid down to rest against your waist as he intertwined your fingers together, holding you in place.
You didnât want it to end, but just as the kiss grew more intense, you heard the door click open.
You froze, your heart pounding in your chest as the reality of the situation sank in. The kiss had been abruptly interrupted, and your eyes shot open in panic. Soobin didn't react right away, almost as if he wasnât as startled as you were.
But then, your gaze flickered to the door, and thatâs when you saw himâMr. Choi, walking in with a slow, amused stride. His eyes widened for a split second, taking in the scene before him.
There you were, straddling Soobinâs waist, your hands still gripping the desk for balance as you both had been caught in a moment that could only be described as far more intimate than either of you had anticipated. Your face flushed with embarrassment as you instinctively pushed yourself off Soobin, your legs unsteady as you dropped to the floor with a soft thud.
Mr. Choi leaned casually against the doorframe, his smirk widening as he observed the scene with amusement plastered across his face, âWell, well,â he drawled, raising an eyebrow, clearly entertained by the mess youâd found yourselves in. âLooks like Iâve walked in on something... interesting.â
Soobin's face flushed with irritation. He straightened up, helping you up from the floor. His glare was sharp as he shot a look at Mr. Choi.Â
"For fuck's sake, Beomgyu," he groaned, his voice thick with frustration. "Arenât you supposed to be on your way home?"
Beomgyu, unfazed, leaned back into the doorframe with a nonchalant grin. "Well, I didn't think there would be two people making out in my office," he teased, clearly enjoying the discomfort in the air.
"Didn't you say you were going home after you got your keys?" Soobin groaned again, clearly annoyed at the interruption.
Beomgyu rolled his eyes, "Were you eavesdropping?" He raised an eyebrow. "Are you forgetting I'm still your boss, you idiot?"
You stood there, utterly confused by the back-and-forth between them. Soobin and Mr. Choi were friends? The whole situation felt surreal.
âAre you twoââ
"Oh right. Iâ" Soobin sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "We're close friends, but I just donât exactly announce it to the world. I donât really need the drama."
Beomgyu chuckled, "God, Soobin. I gave you options, the fourteenth and eleventh floor for a reason."
"We had no time," Soobin grumbled, clearly embarrassed.
"Clearly," Beomgyu quipped, gesturing to Soobin's pants, a sly grin spreading across his face.
Your cheeks burned as you quickly glanced down, realizing the situation. You hastily handed Soobin the folder, suddenly feeling incredibly self-conscious. Soobin caught your gaze for a split second, his face flushed with both annoyance and embarrassment, before he used the folder to discreetly cover his âsituationâ.
Without missing a beat, he whisked you away from the office. "You owe me," he muttered, leaning into Beomgyuâs ear before pulling you toward the door.
"Dude, youâre lucky Iâm not firing you," Beomgyu yelled after them, his voice fading as Soobin hurriedly guided you down the hall.
Soobin groaned, still frustrated but trying to keep his composure. "Next time, weâre going somewhere private," he muttered under his breath as he led you to a quieter part of the building.
âHey, if Mr. Choi was your friendââ you started.
âBeomgyu,â he corrected with a grin, his eyes glinting with amusement.
âRight, BeomgyuâŚâ you trailed off, still processing everything. âThen doesnât that mean he probably wouldnât have cared if you were the one who broke the copier?â
Here you were, thinking the leverage you had against him wouldâve been enough to get him into trouble. Instead, he was effortlessly getting away with it all because of his close friendship with Beomgyu.
âYeah,â Soobin nodded nonchalantly, his expression casual as if this was no big deal.
âThen whyâd you help me?â you asked, genuinely confused.
Soobin let out a soft laugh, eyes twinkling as he leaned back in his seat. âI thought it was obvious.â
You frowned, still not understanding. âWhatâs obvious?â
âThe fact that I like you,â he said, his voice steady, and his gaze unwavering, holding an almost affectionate warmth. His eyes locked with yours as if it shouldâve been obvious all along. âHowâre you not getting it?â
âRight.â You nodded, your cheeks heating up, flustered by the realization that had just settled in.
âSo naive,â he teased lightly, his tone playful yet sincere. âCâmon, you canât really believe Iâd help you with all that and not have feelings for you.â
âYouâd be surprised at how dense I can be,â you mumbled, still trying to piece everything together in your head, unsure if you were fully grasping the situation yet.
âWell, youâre not wrong,â he laughed, leaning in just slightly, his gaze now intense, studying your face with a little more curiosity.
You rolled your eyes, a playful grin tugging at your lips as you gave his arm a gentle punch.
Feigning an exaggerated wince, he groaned dramatically, clutching his arm with over-the-top flair. âOuch, ouch, ouch. Iâm seriously hurt.â
âStop being dramatic,â you said, fighting to hold back a smile, knowing full well he was faking it.
âIt really does hurt,â he continued, his voice dropping an octave, turning the theatrics up as he leaned closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
âOh, really?â You decided to hit his arm again, this time harder, feeling the sting of your own strike as you noticed how close you were now, the tension building between the two of you.
âOw!â Soobin yelped, his expression shifting to one of mock pain, but the seriousness in his voice was enough to make you pause.Â
You panicked, jumping to your feet and immediately hovering over him, your heart racing. âOh my god, are you okay? Iâm so sorry!â You looked down at him, your hands unsure of where to go as you knelt by his side, your voice full of concern.
âIt just⌠it hurtsâŚâ Soobin sighed dramatically, his voice dripping with mock sorrow, but there was a glint of mischief in his eyes that you hadn't noticed before. His hand rested on his chest as though he were genuinely wounded, but you could tell by the way his lips curved up that he was enjoying every second of it.
âIâm so, so sorryââ you stammered, flustered by the moment and how close you were to him now.Â
âKiss it better?â Soobin looked up at you, his lips curling into a playful pout, the corners of his mouth twitching with amusement. His eyes held yours, the playful challenge in them unmistakable, daring you to play along.
Thatâs when it clicked, and you realized he was faking the whole thing. You rolled your eyes, trying to suppress your laughter, ready to nudge him again for his over-the-top act, but before you could, he suddenly grabbed your hand, his fingers locking around your wrist with surprising strength.
He pulled you gently but firmly closer, the space between you shrinking in an instant. His eyes never left yours, and there was an intensity in his gaze now that had shifted from playful to something elseâsomething much more meaningful. You could feel the warmth of his hand against yours.
âKiss it better?â He repeated, his voice much softer now, and his fingers tightening gently around yours. Without warning, he pulled you down so that you were sitting on his lap.
You froze for a moment, your heart pounding in your chest. âShouldnât I be kissing the part that hurts?â you whispered, voice barely above a breath.
Soobin smiled knowingly, his hand sliding around your waist to pull you in closer. âRight now,â he murmured, his lips brushing your ear, âIâm hurting that we didnât get to finish what we started just now.â
Your heart raced, and you felt the heat rising to your face. âY-youâre insane if you think Iâm going to do anything with you on the rooftop of our workplace,â you stammered, trying to break the intensity of the moment.
You could feel Soobinâs breath against your ear, warm and tantalizing, as his words whispered to you, his voice low and full of playful teasing.
âThen letâs go home right now.â

I love the way you write baby, can you honour me with this prompt idea: Mattheo Riddle loses a Quidditch match against his biggest rival, and his anger boils over. Dragging his girlfriend into the locker room, he takes out his frustration on her in a heated, rough moment of intimacy. Afterward, he leaves her shaken to vent elsewhere, but when he returns, he finds her being comforted by his rival. Jealousy and fury take over as he drags her away, scolding her and accusing her of betrayalâthough beneath his anger is a fear heâs not ready to admit: that he mightâve pushed her too far this time.
Losing Game
tysm for the request babes!! this was sooo creative! hope you enjoy, it was my first time writing angst đ¤
mattheo riddle x fem!reader, extremely toxic behavior, mentions of sex, characters are of age, i think that's it

a/n: if there are any tags I missed, pls pls pls let me know!! also, I wasn't sure if i should label it nsfw in my masterlist or not, so if you think it should be tell me and I'll change it!
Angry sex with Mattheo was something you were used to, especially after he lost a quidditch game. Everyone knew he had a temper, and even as his girlfriend, you were not immune to it. But heâs never been so hurtful. Not like this.Â
The physical part of it was good, as per usual, but his words struck a deeper chord than normal. The names he called you, the blatant disregard for your feelings, the way his touch felt oppressive instead of loving â it was strange, and honestly overwhelming.Â
So thatâs how you got here, curled up in the fetal position just outside the quidditch locker room. You barely noticed the muffled sound of footsteps approaching you on the grass. Blinking back more tears, you look up, not expecting to see the Gryffindor Cormac McLaggen of all people. He was one of many on the long list of people Mattheo hated most, and you knew that if your boyfriend saw him of all people in his current tempered state, someone would end up in the hospital wing.Â
âYou okay?â Cormac asked, crouching in front of you. His tone was softer than you would expect, laced with nothing short of concern and pity. He reached out, and you flinched as his hand brushed your arm. âYouâre freezing. Come, letâs get you inside. I donât want you to contract hypothermia.âÂ
The warmth of his hand sent a wave of guilt through you, and the combination of your confusion and his touch made you flinch away. Heâs right â itâs so cold your fingers are going numb. You werenât sure if it was the weight of your emotions, your exhaustion, or the sheer cold, but you felt your defenses crumble, allowing him to pull you up and off the ground.
Then the locker room door opened.Â
Out walked Mattheo, his presence looming over you like a shadow. His hair was disheveled, his jaw set like stone. His gaze flicked between you and Cormac, his eyes burning with fury.Â
âWhat the fuck is going on here?â He snapped, his voice low and full of nothing but rage and resentment. You opened your mouth to speak, but he roughly grabbed your wrist and pulled you to his side, effectively cutting you off. Your stomach churned, and the emotions swirling inside your gut made you want to puke.Â
âYou think this is okay?â He scolded you, his gaze narrowing into a glare. âThe hell are you doing with this piece of shit?â He motioned to Cormac, scoffing. âAnd you, what are you doing with my girlfriend?âÂ
âMattheo, stop-â Your voice trembled as you began to talk, but the bitter laugh that escaped his lips cut you off.Â
âDonât even try to explain,â he sneered, his grip so tightening so much it may leave a bruise. His expression was still angry, but something seemed off. Beneath the anger in his eyes, you saw a flicker of something else â something raw. Afraid, maybe. âI leave for five fucking minutes and come back to find you cozying up with Cormac fucking McLaggen.âÂ
His words hit harder than expected, making the nausea in your stomach only grow stronger. âYouâre being ridiculous,â you said, voice quiet but filled with hurt. You pressed your lips together and fought the urge to cry again.Â
âRidiculous? You donât get to decide that after this little stunt you just pulled.âÂ
Cormac crossed his arms over his chest, his expression solemn. âMaybe if you treated her better and paid attention to her obvious distress, she wouldnât be crying out here in the cold,â he retorted.Â
The room seemed to freeze at his words. Mattheoâs head snapped toward Cormac, his eyes dark and burning. The tension in the air was suffocating, a storm brewing just beneath the surface.
âYou donât know what the hell youâre talking about,â Mattheo hissed.
âI know enough,â Cormac shot back, unwavering. âI know she shouldnât be out here like this. She could get sick!â Â
Mattheoâs jaw clenched so hard it looked like his teeth could grind together into dust. For a moment, it looked like he was going to punch Cormac â he certainly wanted to â and the suspense made you even dizzier than before. But instead, he turned his glare back to you. âGet up. Letâs go.â It wasnât a question, and you could tell by the tone of his voice it was more of an ultimatum. Stay here, and you would lose him.Â
You hesitated, jaw opening and closing, unsure what to say. You didnât want to fight. Not again. Not when your body already ached from more than just the physicality of what had just conspired in the locker room. So, even after all the hurt heâs caused, you couldnât bring yourself to leave him. He just looked so betrayed, so afraid.Â
âOkay,â you conceded, voice barely a whisper. Cormac scoffed, but you didnât dare look his way as your boyfriend grabbed your wrist again and led you away, his footsteps crushing the grass beneath his feet. His grip wasnât painful, but it was firm â as if he was afraid that if he let go, youâd disappear.Â
The journey was silent as he dragged you to an empty corridor. The moment the two of you were alone, he spun to face you, his chest rising and falling rapidly with labored breaths.Â
âDonât ever do that again,â he said.Â
âDo what?â You asked, brows furrowing.
His fingers twitched at his sides, as if he was fighting the urge to reach for you. âSitting with him. Letting him touch you. Letting him look at you like â like that.â
You stared at him, disbelief bubbling up past the lingering hurt. âMattheo, do you even hear yourself? I was sitting there because of you. Because of what you did.â
He looked shocked, but that quickly faded as he realized what you were talking about. He lowered his eyes to the ground, and his throat bobbed as he swallowed his shame. He looked like he wanted to argue, to push back like he always did in situations like this, but something in his expression told you he knew he would finally lose you if he did. For the first time, he looked unsure.Â
âDo you even care that you hurt me?â You asked, voice softer now, but still full of lingering hurt. In response, his whole body tensed. A long silence stretched between you, thick and suffocating. Then, barely above a whisper, so low you almost missed it, he muttered, âI do.â
It wasnât an apology â not yet. But you knew it was as close as you were going to get for now.Â
Ty again for this request!! I had sm fun writing it! Sorry it took me so long to write, life and school is insane rn

Do whatever you want, believe whatever you want. And using Veilguard as any sort of source for anything remotely related to canon Lore is just ridiculous. It's so... awful, IMHO, to use it to defend any sort of point.
I'm not certain if this would be considered critical, so I'll put it under a cut. Potentially critical of Veilguard.
Though I'm really just talking about the Lore.
I point out 4 massive retcons in Veilguard that blew my mind and that I see people commonly using as arguing points. And yes, if someone wants to pay me for the time, I can prove all of it with sources.
What little canon Lore they actually used in Veilguard? They twisted beyond recognition.
Just a few examples.
1. The blight is NOT, in fact, (or even in Veilguard) 'everywhere in the Fade'. It has always been contained to the Black City, that floats disconnected from everything else in the Fade. It's why the previously golden city is black ffs! Even in Veilguard, it's really damned obvious that the Fade isn't full of blight. We hop in and out of the Fade throughout the whole damned game like it's a shopping mall.
2. The Fade is not full of demons. Demons are spirits (people) of emotion. What usually twists them into demons is coming through the veil! The only reason there was the big demon in DAI is because it was attached to Coryphyfish. There's probably some, but it's an arguable point that an emotion spirit of, say, anger, or spite is actually a demon. Emotions aren't bad. They wouldn't automatically be demons simply because they reflect a negative emotion.
3. The veil has been canonically choking the life and magic out of Thedas for thousands of years. If the veil didn't come down, there would be no Thedas. This is clearly spelled out in canon. The veil was never meant to be part of the world. At the end of Trespasser, the veil is as holey as my grandmother's doilies. It's not as they tried to depict it in Veilguard, a firm, whole wall holding hordes of demons and the blight of blights back. That's such a bullshit retcon, and I make weird faces every time I try to figure out the mental gymnastics necessary for someone to come up with that idea.
4. It's also a massive retcon that Solas lies. (Sigh. Yes. It really is. No matter what you believe.) He canonically does not. They rewrote his character for DAI so that he doesn't lie because it weakened the character. He was originally written as much more similar to Blackwall. They decided it weakened Solas as a character and made sure he doesn't lie. He obfuscates, misleads, doesn't answer, and is really good at letting people make assumptions or even leading people to make assumptions. Because that is what a Trickster does! But in all of DAI and Trespasser, he does not lie except once. At the Winter Palace when you ask him where he got the experience of court. No. A 'lie of omission' is not a lie by the definition or philosophical understanding of what a lie is. You, as the player, not paying close attention to what he says doesnât mean he lies either! He is not the 'god of lies'. That's Epler's hate shining through. Throughout 3 games, many dlcs, books, comics, short stories, the Dread Wolf is known as the Trickster. The god of rebellion and sometimes the god of betrayal. He is never once referred to as the god of lies in anything pre-veilguard. It's. Bullshit.
And Solas is an absolutely terrible liar. He stumbles all over himself trying to do it in the winter palace. It's hilarious tbh.
There were more retcons. But I need to go help with dinner.
Just, even if you liked Veilguard, don't use it as a defense in any sort of discussion of Lore. Perhaps listen to us Lore fiends, instead? Because they shat all over the Lore for Veilguard.
Real talk? It makes you look ignorant to anyone who actually has been paying attention to the Lore.
FWIW? I'm not in the best of moods right now. Please think twice, then a third time before responding/reblogging in disagreement. (Unless you're polite and actually have sources I haven't seen. I'm usually willing to have polite discussions or answer questions. I'm also willing to stand corrected if people actually can prove me wrong with sources attached. A 'nuhn unh, Solas lies cause I believe he does', won't get you far with me.) Nor will using anything from DAV to support an argument. I've relegated DAV to the graveyard of not-canon because of the complete disrespect of the Lore.
And I'll just laugh at you if you try to attack me. Internet randos filling my responses with shit doesn't phase me, bother me in the slightest, or make me upset. I find it incredibly, laugh out loud amusing because I've lived through so much more than that in my life.

messages from your future spouse
Likes , reblogs and feedbacks are very much appreciated đ
Masterlist \pick a cards
Disclaimer: This is general reading . It may or may not resonate . If reading doesn't resonate let it fly and choose another pile or simply there were no messages for you through this reading đ Take the reading lightly as nothing's set in stone until you believe sođď¸
Thankyou for stopping by let's dive in âď¸,shall we ? Choose the pile you feel most drawn to đ§¸
Pile 1
Anyone who takes the time to be kind is beautiful .
Some people don't change no matter how hard you try.
But we can not simply sit and stare at our wonds forever .
You spread joy because you're joy that's what I admire most about you .
First love teaches us what love isn't .
It's better to feel the hurt of honesty then to live in a false comfort of lie .
The secret of life is to be obsessed with yourself and be kind to everyone around you.
Some days are just heavy .
Everything you lost will be replaced with something better.
Imagine being loved the way you love .
Pile 2
You haven't met the best version of yourself yet don't give up
when you choose yourself everything around you will choose you too
remember you can start again over and over as often as you need
people don't cry because they're weak it's because they've been strong for too long
the little things ? little moments ? they aren't little
perhaps we should learn to love ourselves so loudly , it silences our insecurities
I love seeing you happy
it happened so that you could grow
you will forever be my always
do it for your future self
Pile 3
You can't go back and change the beginning but you can start where you're and change the ending
expect nothing appreciate everything
you can also comit injustice by doing nothing
be patient. Sometimes you've to go through the worst to get best
how many time can the same thing break your heart ? As long as you love it
find joy in simple things life will always be fulfilling
In the end, I realized the hurt never turned to hate. No matter how much my emotions led me to feel so. I never stopped loving people. I stopped trusting them.
The art of observing and not absorbing
Not liking me is fine, but making up lies to destroy my character is weird.
Keep it private until you know it's permanent
Imagine being loved the way you love .
Pile 4
First love teaches us what love isn't .
Discipline is the strongest form of self love .
She's an old soul with young eyes, a vintage heart, and a beautiful mind
people talk about me behind my back and i just sit here like damn i got myself a fan club
It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations .
Forgive yourself for the mask you wore when you didn't feel safe enough to be yourself
YOU DON'T NEED EVERYONE TO love you, JUST A FEW GOOD PEOPLE
may every hour in your soul be golden, may it be filled with endless magic .
Vibes to carry through out the week
You're not sensitive. You're not overreacting. If it hurts you, it hurts you. Don't let anyone invalidate your feelings. Ever
I hope you liked the reading . Thank you so much for letting me read for you . Wishing you best ahead . đ Bless you and have a nice day đŤśđť

okkkayy, what if jake got his gf pregnant before marriage what would his momâs reaction be + other big deal members đśđś?? (love your fics btww!!!)
ACCIDENTAL PREGNANCY đ§ â jake kim
a/n: unserious. and thanks anon!
you always use protection. plus, the pill is 99% effective at preventing this. and yet...
"...i'm pregnant"
â
jake stands there with a stupid look on his face because he's stupid.
â
to be honest, he doesn't want to bring a child into the world when he's leading big deal. jake wants to retire before even thinking about it. he loves you, but this isn't something he planned for.
â
has a serious discussion about the risks, making sure you understand the weight of the situation. still, he knows it's your choice in the end. once it's clear you want to keep the baby, jake respects your decision. he's the type to step up no matter what.
â
watches parenting videos at night while rubbing his temples.
â
tells minseon first đŹ this is the part that scares him the most.
â
his mom: pissed as hell đ¤Ł
â
the second jake tells her, she puts out her cigarette with tight lips. he's already sweating.
"jake kim" "...yes, mother?" "are you telling me you got a girl pregnant before putting a ring on her finger?" "t-the thing is..." "like father, like son"
â
sheâd ask all the hard questions: how are you going to raise a baby in this life? do you think this is fair to the child? are you ready for this kind of responsibility?
â
anddd i have a feeling that if you're from a 'normal' family, she'd have more reservations. not that minseon is classist, but y'know...
â
jake explains that you always did it safely, so the pregnancy wasn't from recklessness. he's aware of the risks, but it's your decision to keep the baby. he wants to step up and support you.
â
...that does get her eyes to soften.
"well...in any case, i know you'll do a better job than your own father"
â
i think in canon right now, jake and his mother have a strained relationship. as far as we know, he only visits minseon when he needs something! đ
+ she resents that he supposedly hates his father...yet became a gangster like him and left her on her own...just like gapryong.
â
but minseon also knows that jake didn't inherit his womanizing side. she knows that he'll be a great father, even if he doesn't think so.
â
she may be tough, but deep down, sheâs happy about a grandchild...even subtly offers to mind the baby if jake is too busy and you need a break.
â
she ends up cooking for you. the baby needs to be healthy.
now...he needs to tell big deal...
â
sinu would be so happy for jake. he cares about him like a younger brother, so once the initial shock settles, heâd smile and congratulate him properly.
but then it would hit him.
jake, who never seemed to care about relationships in the first place, is having a kid before him.
"god...yeonhui is gonna have a field day with this. you better start saving man. kids are expensive"
â
would yeonhui scare him as a joke? absolutely.
"sinu, what if i accidentally got pregnant? would you step up like jake?" "h-hold on..."
â
you already know jerry would do the absolute most đ
â
immediately places a loyalty hand on jake's shoulder.
"bossâŚyouâre going to be a father?" his voice is trembling, like jake just told him he's DYING. "i will lay down my life for this child. it is my duty as number 2" "jerry...i didn't even ask you to- are you crying?"
â
jerry starts researching baby vitamins + recommending parenting books. already thinking about making the child wear a tiny big deal jacket.
â
jason and brad feel like the same characters to me. i'm sorry. i guess jason is portrayed as more blunt and serious?
"jake...don't take this the wrong way, but i don't think you know anything about babies" "you don't think i know that, jason?"
â
the girls knit a baby blanket together :') and make one of those "we're so excited to meet you" videos.
â
jake would not half ass being a dad. heâd try his hardest to balance big deal and fatherhood, even though it wonât be easy. but the baby will be loved. from the parents, the girls and big deal.
bonus!
lineman leans back in his chair, surveying the small pile of cash on the table. "alright, iâm locking in my bet â itâs a boy"
lua scoffs. "nah, youâre wrong. itâs definitely a girl. and sheâs gonna have him wrapped around her finger before she can talk"
lineman shakes his head. "a girl? weâd have to protect her from all the freaks in this city. a boy would be easier"
"a boy would be just as much trouble!" she rolls her eyes. "but imagine boss jake with a daughter. heâd be like, the ultimate girl dad"
"tch, weâll see about that. alright, bets are at 50/50. let's see if anyone else wants to-"
"...guys" an all too familiar voice booms behind them.
lineman and lua turn to look at jerry like children caught with the cookie jar.
"youâre betting on boss jakeâs child? his future offspring?" he shakes his head in disappointment. "this is incredibly inappropriate"
lineman and lua exchange a guilty glance.
lua has the courage to speak. "i meanâŚyeah, butâ"
"shame on you two" jerry crosses his arms. "both of them deserve respect, not this gambling on their unborn childâs gender"
lineman suddenly has an idea. "so jerry...you must think it's a girl, right?"
jerry nods. "obviously. can't you see it? imagine her holding jake's pinkie with her tiny little hands"
lua smirks, catching lineman's drift as he discreetly slides a notepad to her. "so hypothetically...you'd place a bet on girl?"
he closes his eyes, lost in thought. "exactly. sheâd teach him patience, unconditional loveâ"
lua nods, cutting him off as she jots notes down. "mhm. yeah. and how much are you putting down?"
jerry strokes his chin. "i'd say...30,000 won, easy-"
he blinks. "wait..."
jerry's jaw drops, the betrayal evident on his face. "you tricked me"
lineman grins, holding his hands up. "of course not. you just wanna see boss jake become a girl dad. thatâs passion"
jerry opens his mouth to argue â then closes it. he shamefully places cash on the table.
"this stays between us" he whispers, glancing from side to side.
lua nods in satisfaction. "of course"
jason walks by, looking at the money on the table. "you guys are still on this? fine, put me down for a boy. 75,000 won"
ËâąđŞˇâ°Ë
jake blinks in disbelief when the truth gets exposed. "...you guys are betting? on my child?"
lineman, lua, and jason whistle, staring at the wall in fascination.
jake looks at jerry, expecting some shame.
jerry looks down, fiddling with his fingers. "...i was tricked"

Objective 1: Make Anya's lock
Mouthwashing x Jimmy's Daughter! Reader
part 1-ish?
word count: 2,526 words and 13,690 characters
"Reality, such a strange thing to me,"
warning: jingle bob, reader is morally grey but not in a pussy curly way, you may end up hating her depending who your favorite character is.
You jerk awake look over to see Curly heaving and groaning in agony, thrashing as much as he can with...well with his situation. His pained sounds are like nails on chalkboard as you walk over to the small pile of pain killers on the table grabbing one and stepping towards Curly.
"Ok Grant, open wide..." The grossest part is having to touch his nasty jaw to open it wide enough for him to take the pills. Popping one in and closing it back up as shiver crawl up your spine from the sound of his swallowing. "eugh.."
You sit down on a spinning chair near Curly and rest your head on your hand, needing to wait for him to stop heaving and thrashing to know if the pain killer worked, again. God... He smells like shit, guess that's what would happen though if one were practically skinned and lost four limbs and couldn't shower.
He finally stops thrashing and his heart rate returns to normal, his staring problem hasn't been fixed though, his singular eye staring intensely at you and your permanent scowl which deepens as he continues to stare. You stand up and kick the chair away while maintaining eye contact with Curly's eye.
"...What? What'd you want?" His staring continues as his mouth breathing seems to be getting louder and more unbearable. "well?! Speak up!"
"The voices in my head,"
You look at him then to the table and back at him, sighing in frustration as your fist clench. It would be dumb to get mad at him for doing the only thing he can do, stare.
"Whatever," you finally turn to leave as his eye follows your movement, "Anya will come by later, have fun till then I guess."
The door closes behind your retreating figure with Curly still looking in your direction.
You walk past Anya and Swansea talking about Curly and Repairs or something, and head to the main area, where Daisuke is sitting down by the big screen that's displaying a sunset into water and playing on the small console you made a while back with only a singular pixelated game that crashes if the smallest thing goes wrong.
You could care less where he is so that doesn't matter right now.
Despite clearly seeing what Daisuke is doing you still ask, "Hey, Daisuke. What-um whatchu up to?.."
"My friends from my dreams,"
"Hey! Yeah, I'm just trying to get passed this level but it keeps crashing..." He looks a bit slump but hopeful as the game crashes again from one of his choices. "But I swear I'm gonna get it this time!-"
"uhuh, thats nice. Hey, when you were with Swansea earlier, did you guys find any extra parts that weren't needed for the ship to function?..." you lean against the wall to try and seem as if you don't care what the answer is but truthfully...you really need a few parts, to create at least one lock.
Daisuke looks at you for a moment, as if contemplating whether to tell you or not. On one hand, Swansea had told him not to give you any extra parts anymore because quote, 'who knows what she's doing with those parts', but on the other hand you haven't done anything weird with scraps yet...
"Nah, we didn't find anything, are you trying to make something?" Maybe if he knows what you're trying to make, then Swansea will let him give stuff to you!
"Nothing, nothing...was just wondering, don't worry about it i'll- i'll figure something out," you head to the door to leave the main area barely muttering a goodbye.
"Bye?..huh" Daisuke watches as you leave then focuses back on the botched console.
"They whisper to me,"
You mindlessly roam through the empty halls, deep in thought but not thinking of anything in particular. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, you hear this agitating, grating voice from this greasy haired, internalized homo bitch.
"And what are you doing?" you sigh out in annoyance at the slight accusatory tone in his voice.
"The devil's on my shoulder.."
You look up at his face, his brows furrowed but his eye's show irritation. "Nothing, Captain." you learned pretty quickly, after he appointed himself Captain, that for him to leave you alone most of the time, just fuel his ego to be better than Grant.
"Have you made what I asked for yet?" Right...his 'need' for a master key to the rooms that can lock.
"No, I haven't gotten to it." And even if you had the materials, his key wouldn't exactly be a priority.
"And why haven't you gotten to it?" Ugh, the piss baby's getting upset.
"I haven't gotten to it because there hasn't been as many free materials for me to use." Before he speaks you continue, "And even if I had the materials, Anya was the first to start bitching to me about something she needs."
That grabs his attention, what would Anya need? Before you can leave, he grabs your shoulder and turns you back around to face him. "What exactly did Anya say she needed?" his eyes with a sort of craze look.
"How the hell should I know? I told her not to bother me until i've got materials, which seem to be nonexistent anymore on this barren ship." Thats a lie, you know exactly what she wants and why, but you hate Jimmy more then you dislike Anya so why would you tell him?
He stares intently into your eyes, like he's trying to detect if you're lying or not. "You better not be lying."
"I'm not, she's only priority because I had her save her spot by trading me a few pills..." God, when is he going to leave you alone.
He finally backs up and walks away, purposefully knocking into your shoulder to make you stumble.
"But I like the way he sings,"
With a small, irritated smirk, you try to find Swansea. Considering the state of the ship, it's hard to believe that they truly haven't found any scraps you can use.
You find Daisuke and Swansea in a storage room, Daisuke halfway inside a vent and Swansea watching from below, holding the ladder and instructing Daisuke on what to do.
"Hey, Swansea?" He barely jerks in surprise but turns his head to look in your direction, still keeping a grip on the ladder Daisuke's on.
"What do you need?" His gruff, slight accented voice sounds tired...whatever anyway.
"Have y'all found any scraps? Anya has a request for me and I don't have any materials." You know Swansea knows that something happened to Anya, just not exactly what happened, so hopefully he'll give you something.
He contemplates for a bit, likely debating the pros and cons if you're lying. There's silence apart from Daisuke yelping from almost shocking himself which snaps Swansea back.
He's sighs and nods to his left, a pile of scraps that they did indeed find. "it's over there."
"Great, thanks.." Daisuke almost slips off the ladder from the tone of your voice, knowing his lost aura points with you and most definitely fumbled from lying earlier.
"Love me endlessly,"
You grab all the scraps, using your uniform jacket as a bag of sorts to carry the metal and frayed wires.
Once you leave the room Daisuke peek down the vent to look down at Swansea and whines. "You made me fumble the huzzzz."
Swansea looks at him with a confused look, "I made you fumbled the, what the fuck?"
Anya was in the medical room watching over Curly when you come walking in with the scrap, a few tools, and the pills she traded you for the lock.
Anya looks up at you from beside Curly with her half lidded, very much tired, eyes. They widen with some kind of hope at the sight of your splayed-out scrap and tools on the only table in the room.
"What kind of lock do you want?" You get some water from the sink to take one of the pills which will hopefully kick in before you start working so you focus better.
"Um, I guess any that can lock from inside the room." Anya's obviously apprehensive, not to blame her, it's not exactly reassuring to have someone on drugs, making a safety lock that supposed to be a secret from the captain whom she is also related to.
She receives a hum from you then turns back to Curly, surprised at the slight rise in his heart beats per minutes. She stands and walks over to the pile of pain killers. "How long has it been since you gave him his medicine?"
You look up from your botched looking layout to Anya, "what time is it now?"
"And when I wake, have my soul to keep,"
She groans and grabs about 2-3 pills and walks back to Curly but hesitates to touch his jaw, quietly gagging. Annoyed at her for taking so long and acting like a baby you get up from where you were sitting and walk over, "I got it, just don't throw up in here."
She rushes out the room with a trashcan, leaving you to once again touch Curly's buck nasty bloody, burnt, bandaged jaw.
After giving him his medicine, and Anya has yet to return, probably yakking her guts out. The drugs start kicking in and well, the thin filter you had sorta slips as you get to making Anya's lock.
"This was your fault, know," Curly's one eye looks over at you as you talk to him, "you were the one to enable him," you turn in the spinning chair to face his direction but not looking up from a stubborn sheet of metal that won't bend correctly.
"I may have known what he did, but Anya didn't tell me, she told you, and you barely believed her until you saw him having a pussy breakdown in the halls." You look up from finally getting the metal into the right shape and see Curly staring at you with a shaky chest.
"You're worse than me." He sees your dilated pupils before you turn your back to him again as Anya enters.
"Desperately, they beg me not to leave,"
"Hey, Anya?" She turns to see you holding a few weird mashed pieces.
"Hm?"
"Where do you this to be placed?" Oh! oh... that- that does not look like it'll keep her sleeping quarters locked...
"Uh, yeah, just over here." She walks you over to her sleeping quarters and opens the door. Turning once you got inside and points to a spot on the door frame. "Can it be placed here?"
"Yeah, I guess," you grab a soldering gun to attach it to the frame, "here's the key," your hand pulls out a small key from your pocket with your other holding the soldering gun. "DON'T LOSE IT, I don't have enough materials to create another one."
"Okay, thank you." There's a hint of gratitude in her tone as she grabs the key and leaves her sleeping quarters.
"The fire in my eyes,"
You easily attach the new lock onto the door and frame and make sure it's not loose or anything, otherwise some people may be able to break in. It's still weird that the sleeping quarters don't have locks but at least you can actually add them now without getting credits docked, considering pony express, dumb name btw, went bankrupt.
You leave her room and see Daisuke trying to act nonchalant and leaning on a wall nearby...he's not subtle in his motives with the way his eyes rapidly glance at you to see if you're looking. looking at the look then back at him you get an idea.
"Hey, Daisuke?" you're surprised at how fast his head turns to you with the most...irritating small smile rather than his usual, goofy, big one. "Can you help me test out this lock?"
He tries to cooly stride over but stumbles over a few dead wires and then just walks over. "Yeah! totally, what do I need to do?"
"Go into Anya's room, lock the new lock on her door, there should be a latch option.., and tell me when so I'll try to barge in. Tell me if the lock loosens or twitches or something." you make sure to explain in the simplest way possible, so Daisuke understands.
"Got it!" He enters the Anya's room and you hear a fumble of a switch, another sound of a switch, the jingle of the lock, and then the latch.
"is burning at my feet,"
A heavy sigh leaves from you as he probably thought something else was the lock, something turned on, so he turned it off, looked at the keyhole of the lock then finally saw the latch. "Ready!"
You back up a bit then throw yourself into the door, repeating a few times till getting an answer from Daisuke, a very scared Daisuke who genuinely felt a tad afraid from the aggressiveness of the shoves into the door, like you actually were trying to break it down instead of checking the lock.
He comes out a bit shaken but acts really tough, "Didn't even move an inch," he seems a bit proud until...
"You or the lock?" you snicker at his faux offended look on his face.
"For your information, the lock did infact stay put and so did I." He crosses his arms proudly but melts when he hears your words.
"Mhm, you were a very brave baby." you said it jokingly, obviously, so he quickly regains his composure once he realized.
"miles away from his life,"
You bend down to grab your tools as Daisuke seems to want to ask you something but is hesitant to. "He-Hey? do you want to come to my-"
Here comes the father-in-law, the fun crusher, the erratic homo, Jimmy. "What's going on here?"
Daisuke stifles a snicker at the sight of you rolling your eyes as you turn towards Jimmy's direction. "Nothing, I was talking with Daisuke about dumb stuff."
Seems like he grew something down there since he starts demanding shit you definitely ain't gonna follow. "Listen, I am the captain now and my key should be made first, it should be top priority!-"
Shaking your head you cut him off, "Yeah, yeah, you're right, once I get the materials, I'll get started on your key right away." a big fat lie since you definitely won't be working on it anytime soon, it'd be a waste of time and a waste of material. It's better to just put it off and say stuff to make him happy.
"without his love i'm not alright,"
"You better.." wow. . . so ominous and scary better get to work on that key card right away!
"Don't worry your pretty lil head, okay Jimmy? I've got it, you just go do your important little captain things, okay?" you gently start pushing him back towards the cockpit till he eventually grumbles and walks away.
You turn towards Daisuke, "Get a load of this guy." pointing your thumb back at Jimmy's retreating figure. Daisuke bursts into laughter(calm down it ain't that funny) and you two head to the main area.
Objective completed:
Anya will remember your generosity.

a last note on the ai-fic bullshit
a couple days ago, a person i had never spoken to before shared my call-out post on x with the earnest intention of spreading awareness of the issue. she was attacked and harrassed so harshly by the same group of people who have been dragging my friends and i through the mud that she ended up having to deactivate.
this group of perpetrators then did their very best to turn this whole conversation on its head by accusing the poster of being anti-solavellan, of sharing the post with malicious intentions of dividing the fandom and tearing down amateur writers, and grouping her and i/my friends as antis and what not.
my thoughts on that development aren't any that i can express with any diplomacy or maturity whatsoever, but @drakonmo herself did a wonderful job at gracefully carving out the very important conversation we, as fans, need to have within our communities. whether you observed or participated in the conversation surrounding the silence and the song and the following shitstorm, i strongly urge you to read her post (here) (on x).
tldr/to those who might be in a rush, let me pull out some highlights:
by deleting the evidence and refusing to acknowledge the public claims were ever made, these people who despise me and wanted to foment discourse could succeed, armed with the trust and respect of loyal followers.
suddenly, the entire wall of text of explanations, of signs, of concerns were reduced to nothing but one portion of the whole. people began to attack OP and me and write threads, posts, etc, saying we were insulting all creators everywhere and we were - singlehandedly - the reason people didn't share their artwork.
clearly, these people argued, this insult and injury to all writers everywhere was a sign of these posts being a hate campaign. suddenly people could completely ignore the fact that the OP is a HUGE shipper, and i have been the world's most vocal proponent of shipping the particular character with anyone and/ or everyone.
i saw some people ask questions - what's happening, what's the drama, what's the situation? and they believed blindly the first things said to them without even trying to seek the truth or sources for themselves - and i truly mean this was an issue on both sides, for both people who ultimately agreed with me and people who did not.
the people that deliberately misrepresented what was being said, who nitpicked so that they could justify choosing "us versus them" - i ask that you consider, if you can and you would like to, to internalize and reflect how you may be susceptible to situations like this happening OFFLINE.
if ONLINE FANDOM misinformation can rouse such a level of discourse, hatred, fear, and anger over a fanfiction or ship ...what are the implications for REAL LIFE?
are you possibly reading a headline and believing it without reading the full article?
are your political and personal opinions swayed heavily by your peers, rather than being shaped by information and political education?
are you well informed and checking for bias from your chosen news sources?
do you exist in an echo chamber that has actively harmed your ability to understand other perspectives and worsened your capacity for allyship?
we best fight FASCISM when we recognize how we approach the people and issues around us, no matter how small. supporting artistic integrity in your fandom is a low rung on the ladder, but your approach to a sense of community and how news, conflict, and opinions form and spread IS vital.
thank you for reading, and thank you to those who have stuck by me (and by mo) despite the backlash it might have caused you. this has been insane and i look forward to never discussing that fucking fic again, but that doesn't mean we get to turn our heads on how this all turned to shit in the first place.
as a self-proclaimed safe space often characterised by escapism, we owe it to one another to make sure this community is as safe as can be and remains one where we care for one another despite which fictional characters we think should kiss.

GL Odds and Ends January 2025
I'm still trying to figure out what 2025 means for me in terms of where and how I spend my time, but one thing I am passionate about is making sure there is a record of GL media, so I'm going to try to prioritize keeping this up to at minimum monthly, though I might change up the format. Last one was end of December 2024. If you're interested in GL older than that, check out my GL rec list and my #gl recs tag for the other odds and ends posts. Series new to the roundup are marked with an asterisk*.
Currently airing (with thoughts up to 31 Jan):
Petrichor ep 9/10 (Thai, Saturdays, 10:00 AM ET, iQIYI) I've appreciated the struggle that Tul has gone through in terms of wanting to use her police powers to protect her family though that goes against her morals, and some of the procedural aspects I was grumbling about before have been explained by the plot. However, it still bothers me that she's not a very good detective. That being said, Engfa and Charlotte still have fantastic chemistry, and Na is having what seems like the time of his life.
*Us the series ep 2/12 (Thai, Saturdays, 8:00 AM ET, YouTube) I admit I think I have Chao Planoy fatigue. Age gap, both characters are lying to each other, there are abusive family members, and a guy who seems nice but I'm braced for a reveal about how he's actually awful. I'm feeling like I'm playing bingo. Honestly If someone gets hit by a car I might lose it. All my baggage aside, the pacing on this feels uneven and it doesn't feel like it has its feet yet.
*Call Me By No Name ep 4/8 (Japanese, Thursdays, 12:30 PM ET, GagaOOLala) Honestly I am not buying the romance between these two protagonists and I am finding them a little overwrought.
*Trunk Girl ep 1/? (Korean, possibly Thursdays, YouTube) This has just started, and the vibes are off. I am suspicious of the circumstances that led this runaway to stay with her friend, especially when she kissed her in her sleep (and I don't mean suspicious of sapphic feelings, those are already taken as given considering the genre).
*FirstLOVE ep 5/? (Korean, Mondays, YouTube) Toxic girlfriend gets replaced and then regrets letting her lover go. We'll see how this ends but this is another messy drama that feels pretty rough.
*I Am Devil ep 5/? (Thai, Saturdays, YouTube) Gonna be honest with y'all I watched ep1 and shelved the rest, it's a pulp in the style of high drama like Sastra and JPC below produce and just isn't my jam. If you're looking for high heat lakorn-style drama, give this a try.
[Note: Mate is still airing if you did not fast track, but since I did I've included it in the following section]
Recently Completed:
The Fragrance You inherit 8eps 25mins each (Japanese, 8 Nov 24-27 Dec 24, no official distribution but fansub on @isaksbestpillow's blog[thank you Siiri!] I loved this finale and wrote about it here. For those who don't want to click the link, in short this is not a romance but a really beautiful and sweet show about all kinds of interpersonal relationships.
Pluto 12eps 45 mins each (Thai, 19 Oct 24-04 Jan 25, YouTube) This series showcased the skills and chemistry of Namtan and Film, and had some of the most iconic product placement in a GL to date. The plot was messy but held together, and as much as I was unimpressed with their choices week to week, their choices made sense within the narrative (and genre) being told. I knew this one wasn't for me, but what it was doing, it did pretty well, and beautifully. The one real ding from me was the use of blindness as a metaphor that essentially got handwaved away; that and I think it was doing too much. But I am glad that before that, there was some great use of their platform to highlight the importance of universal design.
INTP 4eps 5 mins each (Korean, 27 Dec 24-22 Jan 25 YouTube) This is the latest short series from RedQ, who produced some of my favourite GL short series including More than or equal to 75 degrees C, and To the Ex who Hated Me. I said when this started that the setup of this one reminded me of Semantic Error if SangWoo realized he was attracted to JaeYoung at their first group assignment meeting, and I think that holds. These two fell for each other because they both care about the group project, and both protect each other. It's a bit short but I found it very sweet.
Mate, 12eps 50+ mins each (Thai, 26 Nov 24-28 Jan 25 fast-track or 4 Feb 25, WeTV (uncut version)) In the end this show remained a struggle for me. There were things it was doing that I really liked (the characters tried hard not to resort to noble idiocy, and when characters did resort to noble idiocy they were confronted with the consequences, for example), and things that I really did not, and there were parts that were really hard to watch and will haunt me. There are a lot of things I like about this show, so I don't want to discourage views. Just go into this one informed, and make the decision that's right for you.
*Adrenaline 4eps 15 mins each (Thai, 10 Jan-31 Jan 25, YouTube) This show is a cross between a travel ad and a lakorn. This is a major spoiler, but the main character has a secret condition where she forgets things that causes her to forget her first time with her girlfriend!? This show is so messy lol
Recent One-offs, Side Couples, etc.:
Fireworks of Yesteryear/When We Met has been made available on YouTube. A 35-minute Chinese GL that includes a makeout and as a result the production team have been working hard to get it in front of eyeballs. This is a moody piece with an open ending; there's an age gap too so YMMV (30s and 22).
GL microseries Your Name Engraved Herein (not to be confused with the BL feature film) has been subtitled by @douqi7s. Watch the original on Bilibili and enjoy the subs on YouTube. This one is also melancholy but it's some really tight storytelling in under 2 mins and manages to feel hopeful even though it's sad.
There is a lesbian side couple in Flirt Milk the series (airing now on iQIYI). This couple Noon and Praewa previously appeared as sides in Love Senior.
There is a new MV featuring a lesbian couple for the artist KnomJean on YouTube. This is one of those MVs that tells a story (TW for family violence) and after getting through the sad backstory, celebrates marriage equality in Thailand.
IdolFactory is re-running GAP the series on YouTube. If you've been putting off watching, now is a good time!
Speaking of re-runs, Yes Or No and the two sequel/spinoffs (Yes or No 2, and Yes or No 2.5) are all newly on GagaOOLala for streaming in some regions (I know for sure they're in North America, not sure about others)
Uranus2324 is starting to show up in particular places on the internet. I watched it and after all of the negative things I'd heard I actually liked it lol I'll see if I can write about it more this week
My suspected wlw sides in See Your Love ended up being implied only I was a little sad about this but at least I wasn't imagining the vibes.
Mom Ped Sawan is still airing but I still don't have a source for subs
Sastra film app YouTube channel has several short Cambodian GL series that come out weekly Honestly they are not to my taste but I don't like gatekeeping GL especially from smaller markets. I check in on these time to time and if there are any that I think are great I'll give them a shout-out
Ditto above with JPC media YouTube channel for Thai GL shorts if there are any that stand out to me I'll say so; that being said I haven't had time recently so if I've missed anything good let me know!
Starting soon:
Reverse With Me (sequel spinoff to Reverse 4 U), Thai, 5 Feb, iQIYI and Ch3+ app
Fragrance of the First Flower s2, Taiwanese, 18 February 2025, GagaOOLala ok this isn't that soon but I'm just so excited we're getting this second season after all!
As always, if I'm missing anything, please let me know!

Guys pls tell me I'm not alone on this:
Pls tell me I'm not the only one who still lives by the "Ben's girlfriend is fake" truth. It's just that Ben liking girls sounds so surreal for me lmao.
Sometimes I think I might have hallucinated all his coded queerness. Maybe we all made it up? I don't know, seriously
Oh but what about he being bi? I swear,,, as a bisexual myself this man is not bi coded for me. Also having a girlfriend doesn't make him bi if nobody confirms his bisexuality or represents it on the show. So, no.
Concluding, I think if she ends up being real I'll pretend nothing happened, ignore it, and be delusional bc if not I would be sad so this is how I cope đ :D
And don't get me wrong, I would NEVER throw hate on her if she ends up being real, bc it doesn't makes sense. She is just a character, she doesn't have control over the narrative.

i digged up in my notes and guess what
Kunikida HEADCANONS âđ part 2!!! + some other characters at the end!!!
- he absolutly hates having his hair down and having his bangs in front of his face like in the oav so he put heavy amont of hair gel that makes his hair feel kinda like cardboard
- he was a troublemaker as a kid
- he's cisgender in a very transgender way. he considers himself a boy only because he was born as one and never really thought about it or feel any connexion to it despite having a schlong. like he's kinda gender apathetic
- it's not a rat tail!!! it's some sort of weird jellyfish haircut he only ties the lower layer and use way too much hair gel
- during his earlier years at the agency he used to have depressive episodes, where he forgot his ideals and bedrotted for days. now he feels so awful about it that he doesn't allow himself to take such breaks
- he likes poetry, mostly romanticism and naturalism. he sometimes writes some himself and has a notebook for it. Dazai found it and thinks his writing style is cringe and corny (he's kinda right...)
- he has a weird laugh, like an ugly one but it's cute
- once he came up with a schedule for katai and katai didn't even look at it
now just random dump of silly hcs i made up about the cast
- atsushi climbs the stairs on all four (even outside...)
- when someone shows him a silly video of a cat falling he takes it personally and answer something like "IT'S NOT FUNNY!! HE HURT HIMSELFđĄ"
- the type of guy to bite his nails until it bleed and peel the skin of his lips and kunikida swats his hand when he does
- fukuchi always has a favorite in the hunting dogs, sometimes it's tachihara, sometimes teruko, sometimes jouno but it's never tecchou. they're all kinda his children and tecchou is the least favoriteđ
- he got fangs like a cat. he's literally just a big cat
- tachihara saw fukuchi as a father figure. he used to admire him a lot and think he was super cool so he sometimes copied his posture or mannerisms. im saying that bcs of this artwork! like look he's literally copying him they're so cuteđ
so imagine how absolutly disappointed he was when he learnt he was kamui.. and when the man he kinda saw like his dad stabbed his eyes... :/ womp womp
- jouno believes he is the most beautiful mesmerizing creature to have ever blessed this planet
- natsume is trans!!! he's a calico cat!!! calico cats are at 99.9% females!!! NATSUME IS AFAB
- he's katai's dad. don't ask me why it's just that scene where he shows up at katai's house they got such a cute dynamic he's his father in my head
- ango got the worst eye correction ever. probably has bifocal glasses for staying on his computer for so long
- kyu does age regression, because this is NOT a 13 years old
- katai is an avid reddit user. he is not the same person online his digital footprint is ass
- i feel like he would love shoujo and slice of life anime that are girl lead like k-on, lucky star, nichijou or azumanga daioh. but not in a weird way. he would envy feminity, how in touch with their own feelings they are, and women frienship and intimacy, he wishes he could experience that too
- he loves cats and wishes he could adopt one but he knows that he wouldn't be able to take care of it in his state and would probably forget to feed it

It sure has been a Year huh. Ups and downs this month, as life happens. Saw friends I haven't seen in years, went into the city and met new friends, tried new foods, saw some birds, tried new crafts, read new books.
The Fireborne Blade by Charlotte Bond âď¸âď¸âď¸ - Hm! Interesting! Didn't hate it, but something feels missing? Almost like it could've benefited from being at the very least a short novel. It needed more. I also have qualms at this being pitched as sapphic when there is no romance at all and the main character talks a lot about being betrayed by her last romance with a man. One mention of Woman With Hot Thighs. Not mad I read it, might even read it again.
That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming âď¸âď¸ â I'll be honest, one star is Mean but I had a lot more fun reading Fourth Wing and that was two stars. The tone is what dragged this one down for me. It reads like YA, but it's very much not. I do not believe for a second the MC is 24, she doesn't act like it at all. The sex scenes. Are there. I could make an entire post about the book ending on them having penetrative PiV sex. Part of my grievances are me not liking the genre, but I truly think this just isn't that good. Plenty of people on the internet write better more filthy works for free. Why was this sitting unassumingly on the library shelf.
*amended to two stars if this is indeed satire
The Dead Cat Tail Assassins by P DjèlĂ Clark âď¸âď¸âď¸ - Fine. Not much to say because it was Completely Average. Not mad I read it, but don't wish to repeat the experience. I think maybe Clark isn't an author for me, as I recall feeling similarly about A Master of Djinn. It's not so much that the characters or world feel flat, but something definitely feels missing. It was silly and lighthearted and gory and I did like that though!
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ - Another hit from Sarah Beth Durst. I see your Themes. I see your Tropes. Kindness. Found family. Accepting help. All personal attacks on me. Adorable, fun, some sort of cross between T Kingfisher and Becky Chambers, I didn't want it to end, and now have a name for my spider plant. It also seems like I need to get my spider plant a friend.
The Woods All Black by Lee Mandelo âď¸âď¸ - I have very mixed feelings about this that are really summarized as This Wasn't For Me. I like the idea that yeah you're a monster but someone loves you anyway. I like using the monster to punish those who called you one. I think there's some very specific midwestern religious trauma that I'm missing to really Get It, though. On top of that, while I recognize the themes and significance in the age gap, a 30 year old going after an 18 year old icks me out. I'd still recommend it with very very heavy reservations.
The Spare Man by Mary Robinette Kowal ââ - Going to be honest, I just finished this and I'm already moving on. The writing was fine and I'm not put off of the author entirely, but I never felt wowed. I was annoyed more than anything. I didn't love any of the characters, but I didn't really hate anyone either. The amount of people Tesla let pet her service dog drove me nuts. The ending felt slapped together. It never really felt cohesive. I feel vindicated reading that fans of her other books also were unimpressed with this. I wouldn't steer people away from it, but I didn't have a lot of fun.
I'm tentatively excited for February. I have art ideas I'd like to get started on, I am working on a craft thing that I might be able to profit a bit off of, I'm flat out ignoring the world, book club is approaching. I'm looking for good things in the world, and I will find them. That is a threat.

[Refulgence Post Mortem] OH HOW YOU HAVE WOUNDED ME IM NEVER GONNA RECOVER FROM THIS
seriously though, i'm just so devastated for ken, he sounds so drained. i am very happy that he was willing to open up to hama about kamimura, ken's been isolating himself but at least he's trying, he must have asked for hama's help with cleaning kamimura's room so i'm proud of him for trying. speaking of that, him saying he was so proud of kamimura making long term plans and have hopes and dreams for the future shattered my heart into a million pieces.
him saying "she ruined everything..." in regards to okazaki killing kamimura gave me some shivers, i don't blame him for hating her tho i would too.
but man, him wondering what the point is and how everything feels grey, it's just so dsaolk;sofkjofspjofsepjiopfjs to me. i think that even with him feeling and thinking like this, him allowing hama to help him clean out kamimura's room and tell him about kami tells me that there is still some small part of him that hasn't given up, and i'm holding on to that for dear life. just earlier that day when he was cleaning up the crime scene he refused ojima's help, but this time he let hama help out, that's a good sign i think.
there's been a lot of discussion on the server recently about ken dying this chapter as a victim or killer, cause he's making himself an easy target by isolating himself or he has no other connections besides kamimura so now he has nothing to lose and while i can't say those ideas don't come from anywhere, i really hope that's not what happens. i feel like it'd be way more interesting if gains the motivation to make new connections and try to make it out a live, so he can keep kamimura's memory alive and see his family again and find his own place in the world. that's something that's come up a lot with ken's character, that he isn't really sure what his future is gonna look like and he isn't sure what he wants to do with his life, and now with going on feeling more pointless than ever for him, i think it would be so cool to watch him develop and step outside his comfort zone and security to try and figure out what he wants for himself.
idk, i just really relate to ken in a lot of ways and find his character so interesting. i feel like there's still so much more to explore with him that i wish other tetro fans saw. idk this isn't a super coherent analysis or anything, but i feel like i can see an interesting path for ken's character to go that doesn't end with him dying this chapter or have it revolve around helping kamimura almost entirely, one of these day's i'm gonna write and actual good hasegawa ken analysis haha
#tetro danganronpa pink#tetro danganronpa#hasegawa ken#oh how i love yapping about my favorite fictional characters i wish i could do this irl
