Recent Movies I've Seen

So, after a storm went through my area, I think right now I can talk about some movies I've already seen.

Rise/Dawn/War/Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes- I've seen the reboot-prequel trilogy, and it was some pretty great movies, especially Dawn and War with how great the writing for those films are, and the effects for them still hold up fantastically. I've never seen War before, but I really enjoyed that film. Kingdom is also pretty good and if they keep this up. Hell, I wouldn't mind if they did a remake of the first movie with these effects and if the writing is still good. My favorite is a tie between Dawn and War, but former is probably a little better in my opinion.

Mad Max/Furiosa- Another really good series of films. Before, I've only known about Beyond Thunderdome, but after seeing all of them, I can safely say I've enjoyed them all. The first Mad Max movie is what I can say is a good "first film made by a director," which it literally is the first movie made by Miller. Road Warrior is an amazing movie with great action scenes. Beyond Thunderdome is the weakest, especially with the main villain just being meh (sorry Tina), but I still enjoyed it. Fury Road is honestly my favorite out of the series and one of my favorite movies I've seen ever! All the characters are great, the action scenes are some of the best I've ever seen, it has that flamethrower-guitar guy that brings in the whole soundtrack, this is just a great movie. Furiosa is a pretty good origin story to a really great character from FR. Honestly, some of the characters here are some of my favorites in the entire series with Praetorian Jack and Dementus, who is probably my favorite villain out of the series (also holy shit his outcome in the movie is disturbing to me). Overall, a pretty good franchise.

Inside Out 2- I have seen the first movie (albeit its the Spanish version during a Spanish class I took back in high school) and it was a pretty great movie, and this one is no exception. I just love how it carries out the idea that there really is no "good" or "bad" emotions as they're all complex and can both benefit and hurt us as people. I don't feel I have much time in explaining some of my thoughts on emotions in the film as it would take all day though. Pretty great movie all considered.

The sensation is sharp and sudden. A blink and he might of never even noticed it happened at all. At least the feeling of anger that crackled between him and this one was deserved. Though he isn't even slightly remorseful for that.

With the chaos of other feet scrambling away in terror and a generator off in the distant with angry protest and whoever's clumsy fingers were fighting to repair it, he wasn't interested in focusing on every little discomfort.

It is not until the former STARS has vaulted himself over a nearby window frame that he starts to feel something stuck. Something that sends a long trickling path of blood down his knee and into his boot.

One hand caresses the handle embedded in his side. Feeling its solid texture against his gloves as he starts to pull it out.

"Ohhh, you little shit." With a slick coating of his own blood now decorating the blade, he turns it over and stuffs it neatly into the concealed sheath in his jacket. It barely fits, but he'll be damned if he leaves it and allows the chance for Leon to come retrieve it.
