Someone's been looking through my posts I see....

Okay! I'll admit that i forget which is numbered which, but TWEoS has two possible endings, due to the fact that I was, well... persuaded... into not making it a huge tragedy.

Succession is the ending where Adrien accepts his fate. After a heartfelt reconciliation with Ladybug, he returns to his post as Chat Noir. Now that Ladybug is on good terms with him, Paris as a whole is on good terms with him, as the Influence that keeps the city at her beck and call favors those she likes and shuns those she doesn't. Adrien continues to model and keep up the persona of Adrien Agreste, slowly retreating further into it to please Marinette. Their identities have been revealed to each other, and there is no other option but to get together.

They get married, have kids, and live in the Agreste Mansion.

Adrien, fundamentally changed by the experiences he was not supposed to have... is left forever unfulfilled. Him and Marinette may be soulmates, yes... but Marinette's soulmate is Adrien Agreste. And because of how the love of another person changed him, that is no longer truly him.

Exile is the ending where Adrien escapes his fate. After the successive murders of Emilie and Gabriel, the two people who abused him the most in his life, Adrien sees that the only way to fully escape their influence is to leave Paris entirely. The Adrien of Exile knows that he has not just been exploited by his parents, but by The Narrative. Rather than say goodbye to Claudia, he renounces his miraculous (bringing the initial premise of the alternative, much longer Kuro Neko to a close), fakes his death, and leaves the city.

What Claudia and Adrien do afterwards fundamentally does not matter*. As they leave The Narrative, they are free to do whatever they want.

The downside, of course, is that there is no way for Adrien to escape his role in The Narrative without fucking over the people around him. While Kagami was ahead enough of this to find comfort in Felix, Marinette is sent to "finish" the plot of "Season 5" alone—Her unification of the Cat and Ladybug is seen not as a triumph, but as a last ditch effort to fix a story crumbling apart at the scenes.

Her and Nathalie, masquerading as a Monarch pro tempore, are left to have a final confrontation. No wish is made, because no wish can be made. It was all just a lie, built on a lie, built on a lie.

...The beautiful part about this is that they are both tragedies, in a way. The noble figure (Adrien), after all, who at the end of the story experiences some sort of death (the death of his fledgling 'new self' in Succession, the death of his 'old self' in Exile). Succession plays more into the inevitability of tragedy, and how even despite all he worked for Adrien was never able to escape his own fate, whereas in Exile the story plays more into the idea that the death of Adrien is also the death of the world around him, and that is disappearance drives it into chaos and ruin.

Of course, they're both sort of meant to sound royal because many great tragedies involve kings and Adrien's fame as Adrien Agreste is practically like royalty if we want to go there, etc etc etc. All very fun all very cool NOW I JUST HAVE TO ACTUALLY WRITE IT DOWN

*But if we really must know... the idea is they elope to Madrid with Claudia's kwami, Karra, and live out a just-okay-but-never-perfect existence. If that's what you actually wanted me to talk about you can send in another ask, I just got carried away lolol

Day 1: Fae

A/N: Im back it's been 4 years but I'm still alive and ready to start posting again so enjoy my first one shot of the season.

You know, the stories of the things that go bump in the night, or when children are taken to the woods and dance all night until their fear bleed, those stories well those faerie tails were true. At least they were long ago before human and fae began to intermix and breed with one another. The human trying to tame the fae and the fae trying to find a way to survive in this world that was slipping away from nature. 

There are two family lines that hold the old ways pure, one from the court of Seelie who were blessed by the goddess of creation and one from the Unseelie court blessed or cursed by the god of destruction depending on who you asked. Though the family lines  were pure it was not without sacrifice each member held the power their gods had blessed them with and with each blessing came a curse the seelie were cursed with needing a blood sacrifice once every new moon. And the Unseelie were cursed with being vulnerable for the 3 days surrounding the new moon. 

Now you may be asking how this history of fae fits into our story…

Well just take a look as the most recent generation are ones who will not only break their curses but muddy the waters between Seelie and Unseelie.

Marinette Dupain-Chang the latest “pure” Unseelie. She unlike the rumors surrounding her court was gorgeous a queen in the making, or at least she would have been had the fae stayed separate from the mortals all those millennia ago. But here in Paris she was not a queen no she was an Idol not just Unseelie royalty as a civilian but the prized hero of Paris Ladybug. She though cursed with the blessing of destruction and death had managed to reign in her blood lust and become a hero one with the power of creation if you will. You could say her blood lust helped her it allowed her to discover and kill her enemy in Hawkmoth rapidly only 2 years passing by and even after that she protected her city. She was a protector now not a killer like her kind was rumored to be, and yet her label as a hero never stoped her from reveling in each kill she was allowed to make. Allowed to solely because of her so called “lucky” charm that would fix everything once the battle was over. 

She is where our story begins, with her class, one that is composed of all but 2 other mostly Unseelie children. 

Mme Bustier, a woman whose bloodline was so muddled that her fae court could not be determined leaving her in the perfect position to teach both courts and yet receive no loyalty from any child. Though she may have received no loyalty that the did not mean there were not lines drawn within her class. For Marinette that signified her development of almost a court her best friend Kagami, and their new found companion Juleka, who’s older brother had seemed to be a potential partner until his bonding with Chloe a few months prior.  

With Chloe having bonded with Luca the Unseelie girls welcomed her into their group and allowed her to protect them during new moon time and provided her with willing blood sacrifices. 

This relationship was not just beneficial, but inevitably divulged into friendship with the gap finally closing within Mme Bustiers class. With the gap finally breached and closed the class was granted the opportunity to travel abroad to their sister city of Gotham and meet the the ruling Seelie family.

In Gotham though the world was structured differently. The Bat family ruled at night, and the Wayne’s ruled during the day, tho many could guess the duality of the family anyone who voiced the idea of the two being the same disappeared on the night of the new moon.  

With the Wayne’s being kings of the Day and Pure Seelie, Gotham bent to their whim as for them the rumors about their historic court. Those rang true with each brother just as mesmerizing as the last and each just as kind in their trickery always making the world see them as benevolent. 

The outlier though being Damien the only true heir to the Seelie court though many would forget that as each Wayne child held themselves in high esteem. 

Each child was different, Richard Grayson the first son, now he was special his father had been a distant relative of bruce making the Seelie blood Dick possessed almost as potent as that of Bruce. Now Jason was interesting as he was most definitely not Seelie, but Unseelie and though the held himself together during the day at night he would allow himself the pleasure of a kill. Timothy on the other hand was the result of gorgeous mortals and a bloodline so mixed that his court was barely decipherable as  Seelie. 

Damian was the blood son the heir, supposed to be the perfect example of Seelie blood yet he had been blessed with the ability to wield the power of destruction, a gift bestowed on him by his mother one of the last true Fae who had managed to capture the tiny god of destruction in a ring. Because of this gift Damian not only needed a blood sacrifice upon the new moon but he needed to hunt and kill his sacrifice never to receive a willing living sacrifice unless they share opposing power to their court as well.

The Parisian class arrives in Gotham, and though they are quickly escorted to their hotel and told to stay put, that does not stop several children from quickly departing their temporary residence. The class travels through Gotham the Seelie children traveling to memorials and museums highlighting their court and its past.  While the 3 Unseelie children plus Chloe travel into the depths of Gotham searching for an elder fae they read resided in Gotham. Upon their arrival to Ivy’s gardens the walls open up upon Marinette’s touch, a feeling of belonging runs through her. This feeling may shock her must not as much  as she is sure the emergence of a fully Fae woman does. To not only her shock but that of Kagami Julika’s,  and Chloe, the woman bows to Marinette. 

And greeteds her with the words 

“child of destruction our guardian of creation,  welcome to Gotham I hope you will meet the one you search for the child of creation, our guardian of destruction” 

And with that the walls close again and the  girls are granted a path into a garden that seemed to be a perfect representation of what the fae realm had once been.

A few blocks away our child of creation, guardian of destruction has received a message from his mother, warning him that his betrothed has been found. And based on what his mother has heard from Ivy is willing to commence the end of court separation and usher in a new court one made of mixed heritage. She had after all opened and entered a portal to the fae realm with her royal court.

Analysis: Who are the Mikaela subjects? Are Ferid and Crowley brothers?

Are Ferid and Crowley brothers?

This matter has been discussed before on tumblr, but I'm gonna speak about it again. If you already know what I'm talking about, you can skip and get to the next part where I explain the Mikaela subjects.

We know of Ferid's older brother in his flashbacks when he was a human. Well, what if I tell you that his brother was actually Crowley before he got reincarnated?

Ferid's plan has remained for centuries, even until now, to stop the reincarnation cycle. When he killed his brother, he headed towards Romania, where in another flashback Rigr is shown to be in Romania. I suppose Ferid met Rigr on his way towards the east.

In the light novel, ferid refers to crowley as a brother (or even in the manga, I'm not sure but he definitely called him that) and he even said that he has been waiting to see what his brother looks like TO CROWLEY. Ferid mentions that he has waited 150 years for Crowley. Ferid mentioned that this plan which is ongoing currently in the manga has been planned for a millennium, from when he turned Crowley. Why do you think he turned Crowley into a vampire and especially targeted him before he was even born, and why do you think he turned him from Rigr's blood?

If you logically think about it, even the way Crowley lived his life in the LN was another answer to him being his brother in his past life. Since the manga has now taken a turn and has made us focused on reincarnation with Ferid's flashback, let's think what kind of life his brother would have gotten.

Because of his pride and ignorance of people who served him while he was wealthy and lucky enough to get the throne, he would have gotten unlucky in his next life and not very wealthy. Crowley mentions that his family wasn't that poor, yet since he was one of the youngest siblings, he didn't get to inherit anything from his parents and had to work for his money more.

The Mikaela subjects

Kagami said that each name meaning of the characters in OnS have a meaning. I don't think people realized that he LITERALLY meant that and it's not a simple word answer that google gives you. I've looked deeper into Rigr's name meaning and the discovery I made kinda blew up my mind. (I already knew two mikaela subjects + mika himself but I didn't expect Kagami to get so inspired by their names.) 🤨🤨 My friend will also make a post about Lest's actual name meaning and a general analysis of him (I hope so @l1va22 🙄😡) so check it out (if she posts it 😒)

When you search "Rigr name meaning" you get that the meaning is simply "King", but if you open the page below, from the source which gives us this information, it leads you to a page about Rígsþula, a norse mythology myth.

Hmm, sounds a little familiar, doesn't it?

This made me think of Guren, (because of his constant appearance within Guren's presenve in the LN. Rigr is a perfectionist and doesn't waste his time on matters which don't make him gain something.) implying that Rigr also implanted his adn in the ichinose family. Guren has dark hair and in the LN was considered to lack power and like 'a slave'. As far as I know his family wasn't wealthy, though I don't think there was any mention of him being poor. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Who was good-looking, hard-working and middle class? Crowley was. He's also often described as being very beautiful like Krul and Ferid.

Who was a noble with very light hair, blue eyes and very attractive? FERID!!!

When I first read the manga, when Rigr appeared (before his asiatic surgery...) I thought that was literally Ferid with shorter hair. THEY LOOK LIKE LITERAL TWINS!! Why? Because Rigr is really his father and whenever Ferid calls him that, it isn't a stupid silly name.

Only the eye shape is different. Ferid is confirmed to have more elongated eyes, while Rigr had rounded eyes.

So, these are the mikaela subjects and I don't think their wealth class is prominent in the manga, yet I think Kagami made their personalities to appear different the way the wealth of these people in the myth is.

Idk surely about Guren being a mikaela subject, but that also explains why Ferid was keen on making deals with him. Crowley and Ferid are surely Mikaela subjects though.

So I was browsing on Twitter and saw this on my timeline (Link):

The way my jaw dropped when I saw this! Now obviously, this is a leak and may not be true, this is just alleged speculation (so take this with a grain of salt), but if this is confirmed, then here's to hoping a remake of the series (and get Takahiro Kagami to direct the project because he's ✨🌟THE YUGIOH ARTIST/KEY ANIMATOR✨🌟 - best art style too fr fr!)

There's just so many possibilities and avenues the anime project could take, some say it's Yu-Gi-Oh R, others say Yugioh Season 0 remake, I'm not sure what it will be if it's confirmed, all I will say I'm glad we could be getting more content related to the OG series (I miss the gang/OG cast and Yami Yugi/Atem so much, can you tell? 😩😫😭😭😭😭)

There's a few possibilities and theories/ideas to what I think the project could be:

Anime series (either an OVA or a limited series???) post DSOD movie, a look into Yugi, Kaiba and the rest of the character's lives after the events of the movie. (Could be in correlation to that Solid Vision Experiment VR game that was teased months ago by Konami and that one art Kazuki Takahashi did of Yugi + Kaiba in space playing Yugi's game.)

Yugioh Anthology Series??

Okay, now this one, hear me out! - Anime project surrounding Yami Yugi/Atem life in egypt as a Pharoah (before and after he was sealed in the puzzle), how he deals with being a young prince/king as he bears the responsibilities of one and bearing the weight of saving the world/his home. Including numerous lore about Atem's court(?); Ishizu, Seto, Mahad, Mana etc, ancient egyptian dark games, egyptian culture, the millennium items, the rivalry/relationship between Atem and Seto (their families), Seto and Kisara's relationship, more backstory on Thief King Bakura and Zorc etc. and probably a whole lot more (correct me if I'm wrong - haven't read the yugioh manga in a hot minute - but I remember seeing somewhere that Kazuki Takahashi had to cut a lot or some of the stuff out to allocate more leeway to the story. I'd imagine there's probably a lot of unused and uncut material he wrote/drew that wasn't gonna be used in the main story...)

These are just a few of my theories to what the project could be. Again, like I said before, if it does get confirmed you best believe I will be there!

Also in relation to yugioh news, Yugioh GX is getting a remaster (happy for the GX fans/girlies! Also unrelated note: but does anyone have like a download link to all the HD remaster episodes of Yugioh DM? Did they release a blu-ray edition of it, if not, they should ☹️) and there's gonna be anime episodes of that one video Konami released for the qaurter century anniversary/konami animation studio, the one showcasing animated shorts of the yugioh card monsters, so that's cool!

EDIT: so uh didn’t see the date of this tweet when I screenshot it whoops, (god I’m such a dumbass) so the tweet might be indeed in relation to the yugioh card monsters anime shorts/PV Konami produced months back, so my bad 😅. Please disregard it….Still it’s something interesting to think about in the near future if they do go back to the OG series with Yugi and the gang!

Miraculous Adventurer Au 2: Electric Boogaloo!

Hi again, it's me! So, quick story time! I was looking through my notes the other day and found a few more things for this Au. I completely forgot I never followed up on it, so here we goooooooooo!

Nah I'm kidding, context/recap first. This Au takes place in Fantasy Anime France, which is Medieval France...but better! Basically just a Medieval Au with adventurers guilds and monsters! Typical RPG shenanigans! Gabriel and Emilie are king and queen (she's alive by the way and Gabriel is more like Hesperia than Hawkmoth. Good guy.), with Adrien as their son. Amelie and Felix also exist in Lunden (London) which is obviously in England. Important note is that this setting isn't tied down to a specific century, I just wanted the vibes. We have vampires, syrens and mages anyway, realism was never a priority. Now...it just so happens that Prince Adrien and Princess Kagami (of an as-of-yet-undecided) eastern kingdom are married. Just follow me on this.

In terms of a recap: Marinette wants to go to the Capital (Paris) to attend a prestigious fashion academy, or at least to try and get in/get a fashion-related job. On her way she decides she needs more money for her trip, and picks up adventuring. Now...it just so happens that she meets a handsome "pro" at the job, named Chat Noir. So naturally, she doesn't give this guy her name yet, because he's a stranger. Marinette's first job is pretty simple. Pick up a sword, whack a couple wolves over the head because they haven't been letting an herblist go into the nearby forest, get paid. Unfortunately, the resident rogue in black leather decides to follow the pretty girl around. Low and behold, they end up fighting the few wolves side by side and turns out they make a pretty good team! Marinette doesn't exactly know how to swordfight anyway, she was basically bashing the wolves with the flat side of her sword.

And so begins the amazing partnership that will surely drive this poor girl insane! And because it just so happens that a ladybug lands on Marinette's face as they leave the battlefield, Chat of course has a new name for her. Ladybug the Scarlet Adventurer is born! And...it just so happens that the herbalist I mentioned last paragraph is named Alya. She is, in fact, a witch. Well...kind of. She specializes in illusion magic, which is completely useless for helping around her village in day to day work. So she got a part time job as a herblist to get some experience. And after being saved by Ladybug (as well as some heroic bragging from Chat Noir), they have their first fan! Back to the adventurer's guild they go, where Chat insists she keep all the money from the job, and urges Marinette to work with him again. He walks away, not giving her a chance to refuse, leaving her a little flabbergasted. I'm sure that won't be important later...

Now...do you all remember how I said that Prince Adrien and Kagami are married? And clearly, Adrien is also Chat Noir? So how can he be in two places at once? Why, Felix of course! Amelie and her son were visiting for the wedding preparations, which lasted a good few weeks, and he got to know Kagami pretty well. Naturally, they fell in love, especially since while she likes Adrien, Kagami isn't in love with him. So...with a bit of help from Amelie, they pulled the swicharoo! Adrien wanted freedom and to explore the country anyway, so why not let Felix (who clearly likes administrative stuff) take over and also marry the girl he loves? Therefore, Adrien Agreste has to hide his identity as the Prince of Paris, and I'm sure that won't be important later...

About Alya, she goes back to her village after getting saved by Ladynoir...and naturally, she decides to also take up adventuring because they've inspired her! What good is she doing wasting away in a small town anyway, when she could be traveling the world and exploring new places? Of course, she drags her boyfriend Nino into this mess almost immediately, since he happens to be a Bard. A DnD-style bard, where music is also (kinda) magic. He would have been perfectly happy to be a local celebrity in a small town if it meant staying with the girl he loves, but hey! If Alya wants adventure, consider him on board! Is it any wonder then that these two duos end up meeting eventually? Ladynoir has gone on a few more jobs, and they're slowly getting the hang of working together and beating up wolves, small smiles and the occasional bandit. So when they suddenly bump into DjWifi a few weeks later, and with a real chance to talk once Nino encourages Alya to push down her hero worship, Marinette and Alya hit it off and become good friends! Adrien is also really happy to have a friendly guy who treats him like a normal person, instead of "your highness" this and "my prince" that. Naturally, they all team up in a party of four! And so, the adventures continue!

I have waaaaay more to say about this Au, for example Max being a genius artificer, Kim being a sailor boy who falls in love with the pretty mermaid Ondine, Luka the travelling bard (and Marinette's ex), Juleka who is nursing a wounded (mermaid) Rose back to health on the Liberty (and also got bit by a vampire recently), and Chloe asking for the famous Ladybug and her team to go on a job for her. So yeah, the Adventurer AU is still alive and kicking! I'll be back with more details, but in the meantime feel free to AMA if you want! Anon asks are on! When you wanna put a stop to something, you take action. Like how the Bee Miraculous does it’s job by paralyzing the person they sting. Chloe had that job and then Zoe. Both sisters did well, but only one earned it by using their intended purpose for it wisely and for the greater good. Chloe sought fame and recognition as a super (“Queen’s Battle Part 2:Queen Wasp”), but Zoe was the one with the moral compass to only look out for the people and lend a hand (“Queen Banana”). Perhaps maybe Chloe would’ve eventually grown to do the same had she not been so selfish and listened to Ladybug (or Marinette/Ladybug giving her a chance more instead of a personal grudge), but alas it did not happen and we got a huge mess of a character from Chloe. That’s exactly what will also happen to the world if we don’t give it a chance and it causes a huge mess! We need to take action! How!? Read and learn:

*Action-This here special takes place in the middle of Season 5 and it turns out, Monarch was re-creating the world before the finale! How? Well, there’s a heat wave in Paris and Gabe was “solving the problem” by using 3-D Adrien and Kagami to promote these decorative (yet single use) plastic fans, that Mayor Andre had installed in vending machines all throughout Paris, which get discarded into the Seine river which pollutes it re-creating the city (and eventually the world) into a planet of trash!

None of the adults would help or understand the dangers of plastic pollution:Nadja with her news network (but for ethical reasons cuz she’d lose her job and not support her child), Gabe with the fan advertisements and even Mayor Andre on removing the vending machines selling said fans. Not even when Marinette and the gang decide to get to the root of the problem by going over to the head of the plastic industry and confronting Bertrand King, “The King of Plastic” (think Colonel Sanders, but “bubblegum flavored”), about their issue helped cuz Bertrand refuses to listen to the kids on reducing plastic, so they hijack the news station and point out (along with their Miraculous World friends) how over endorsing plastic can be harmful. These kids play hardball, let me tell ya, when they want to get a point across, they do it! Go big or go home!

This causes Gabe and Andre to save face by claiming to be “unaware” of the negative effects plastic can do for the environment and humiliating Bertrand to be akumatized, with the Bee Miraculous, as King of Plastic. An all plastic looking villain with the power to turn anyone he touches with his staff into colorful paralyzed plastic. When I first saw his look, he looked a bit too colorful to be a “plastic” themed villain. He looked more like a King Candy type of villain, but after seeing the ep, I realized that the reason why he was so vibrant was because all plastic is like that and he was like the human version of his multi-color changing pen that you see tween girls carrying in their trapper keepers! (Shhh! I have one too! It’s scented!), so it was fitting. The dynamic duo struggled with him at first, but it turned out his strength, was also his weakness! Whomp! Whomp! Whooooooop!

First ep to not be written/directed by Thomas Astruc and instead by the Breteau Foundation and despite the ep seeming “bland” and “Captain Planet” esque theme, kids shows tend to have episodes focused on environmental care so they can get their attention and take part in saving the world (in small doses that is) and having a little something for elementary school classrooms to learn from in a “Bill Nye:The Science Guy” type of way. Part of what motivates the kids to take action and not be so careless for the Earth. Which is why Zoe was more worthy of the Bee Miraculous as she was taking part in helping to minimize plastic use and Chloe was just there watching the interrupted news special (perhaps maybe this’ll come back to her and she’ll finally get that redemption arc we’ve all been dying for). Like before, this ep stands on its own being set in the middle of Season 5 possibly between “Confrontation” and “Collusion” which is why the more eco-friendly atmosphere isn’t established yet cuz of our new mayor, Bustier, and why Gabe/Monarch isn’t rotting in the dirt in his wife’s place (“The Last Day Part 2:Re-creation”). Not much else to go by since this whole special was pretty self explanatory and alls I can say is that we should do what we can to stop pollution and that I’m just waiting for the next special with Shadybug and Claw Noir!😉. I will still be back with that and the Season 6 premiere with new frames and thoughts on the show. Good-bye fellow Miraculars, the power is yours!

Hmm, I think it was less Rule-Of-Drama obsession (though it was definitely a huge factor here, imo) and more their complete unwillingness to change course once it was clear trying to adhere to their initial narrative path was just not viable anymore, especially after they got told "Oh actually, can I have 8 more seasons of this little spotted gal and her friends please" by the highersup.

I mean, so much of S5 was very clearly set up to be a conclusion/ending (Adrienette getting together, Hawkmoth dying, Chloe leaving Paris "forever", etc), and I can understand not having time to make changes on the fly depending on when they got told - but there's also a point where you have to be willing to clear the board and start from scratch, even if it sucks and means losing out on what you wanted initially. When you look at everything from all five seasons spread out on their own, it becomes increasingly clear that priority was given to "stay the course" of the bible outline rather than adapt so everything can transition more smoothly.

Outside of that, its because the writers keep prioritizing the Doylist reasoning (Adrien isn't allowed to know Hawkmoth = Gabriel as a narrative rule, so neither Felix nor anyone elsee can't tell him) without finding a way to justify/connect it to the Watsonian (Felix doesn't tell Adrien about Gabriel because...IDK, he's too busy making out with Kagami by the pool to notice Marinette isn't tell him jack either)

Plus, this is also another consequence of the "episodes must be watchable on their own" rule - setting up Felix as a secret Jerk-With-Heart-Of-Gold who's purposely acting like an ass to protect his cousin and acting on this characterization would mean making it required for people to have watched multiple different episodes to pick up on hints towards this end; and we certainly can't be having that! After all, Status Quo is king in the world of MLB! Having Felix change into three different character types with no buildup/proper connecting thread between them is simply much easier and more digestible than giving him a consistent, followable character development transition starting from his introduction. Same with him showing any involvement/initiative in fighting against the Gabriel coverup.

Honestly if the writers did want to keep Adrien in the dark, why not have Felix be the one to request Ladybug not tell Adrien instead of the world's shittiest father? Considering that Felix is both Adrien's family and is a sentimonster himself, it would be logical for him to be the one to tell Adrien everything. Like, at the end of the final Felix could come to Ladybug and say "hey, I think it's better if I were the one to tell Adrien about his father. Don't worry I'll tell Adrien that it was my request so he doesn't get mad at you and yadda yadda." Then you'd be able to push the truth about Adrien to season 6 without making Marinette a terrible gf.

Well, that would require Felix to do something that actually validates his claims that he's trying to help Adrien instead of constantly screwing him over.

I may not like all the revelations that happened. But Felix stole the show and I loved every scene he was in.

Oh boy i sure don't have any idea how to structure this in the best way to tackle all the relevant points without just going in circles constantly, or making in incoherent web of nonsense... But I'm gonna try...

So... starting with the new Spirit Society character designs in Bleach: Brave Souls, I was vibing on the use of Amaterasu imagery. Amaterasu is Japan's chief god, mother goddess, and the sun incarnate; her mythic bloodline is the claim of Japanese imperial royalty. In particular the use of a sun motif mirror harkens back to the Yata-no-Kagami, one of Japan's 3 imperial regelia, used to lure the sullen Amaterasu from the cave she'd withdrawn to, sinking the world into darkness. Although the design is made to largely mirror White's oni themed look, it positions Ichigo as a sun god; ironically Ichigo's outfit is mostly the same as White's save that his armor, beads and hakama are white and red and White's are all black.

But what is it exactly about Ichigo and The Sun, or more specifically a Black Sun association? because ironically there's actually very little direct imagery linking the two in the manga itself...

Several different characters in Bleach have associations with sun imagery, some more relevantly than others...

I'll start by saying that Yamamoto has some Rising Sun imagery evoked in his bankai, but that's largely an offshoot of "Fire" and "Japan" as themes than of the sun itself. So we can basically ignore him entirely moving forward...

Obviously there's Ichigo and his Black Sun epithet that was originally used on the cover art of the SOULs databook, opposite Rukia's White Moon on the cover of VIBEs. Together they gave us the phrase, "The rain drags black sun down, but the rain dried by white moon." It actually doesn't get utilized very much in the manga itself. There is also a bit of a (possible)tangential reference to it in Ichigo's hollow form, that actually harkens back to Zombie Powder.

Kaien's presence is described by Rukia as the sensation of the warmth of sunlight.(That's not a lot by itself, but other topics in this discussion will circle back around to it.) This is also contrasted by the fact that Aaroniero cannot maintain Kaien's form while in the light of Aizen's false daylight, and by some loose association Aizen factors in here as well, though indirectly...

Zommari's ability while in his Resurreccion, Brujeria, marks his opponents with a sun crest and dictates "sovereignty" as Viz translates it. Incidentally, he defines this as akin to the relationship of both a King and his Subjects, and the Sun and the Moon. His ability is named, Amor: "Love."

The teleport pads used to get around the Quincy castle, Silbern, are called Sun Gates. The fact that they're specific to the palace and not present in the general Quincy iconography(and the relative use of stars to symbolize the sternritter, and quincy in general) suggests that the sun specifically refers to Yhwach, as their god/king.(The immediate association of an ornate sun tied to a king would seem to suggest a relation to King Louis XIV of France, known as le Roi Soleil: "The Sun King".)

And ironically, last on this list, but first to be brought up in the manga: Masaki Kurosaki. Ichigo's mother is described as being the center of her family's universe. She's drawn at the center of a diagram positioning her like the sun with her family orbiting around her.

Now, interestingly... Perhaps the strongest set of associated themes with any of these sun characters is Yhwach. Which seems odd at a glance, as his direct link to the sun is maybe the least explicit of those listed about. However, Jugram's flashback casually drops in that Yhwach's pre-Sternritter and pre-SoulSociety invasion army of Quincy had been called LichtReich[光の帝国]: "Light Empire."(This is in direct thematic opposition to Yhwach and the Sternritters' use of shadows, and the SchattenBereich[影の領域]: "Shadow Realm" that they're forced to dwell in.)

And although the Quincy's spirit energy weapons are mostly named "Holy..." as part of what accounts for their glowing aesthetic, Uryuu is specifically attired with the epithet Prinz Von Licht:"Prince of Light," and because Uryuu is given this title when he is revealed as Yhwach's heir, Yhwach is positioned as the King of Light by association.(This also implies Jugram was the Prince prior to Uryuu's recruitment) This is then brings Yhwach again adjacent to the role of Sun King: A king of light with an army of smaller stars*(relative to the view of the night sky and not space itself of course).

*curiously, there is also the issue of Ichigo having had a star motif in the original Bleach pilot chapter, but Kubo never reprises that in the serial manga proper, so there's nothing to build on that here.

In addition, Masaki's association with the Sun as the center of a gravitational field of relationships can be related to 3 different people(and kind of a 4th...) Ichigo, Yhwach, and Jugram; Although Ichigo's role is retconned away after the fact, all three have the power to bestow their own spiritual power onto others by proximity and contact. (Implicitly this power might also be a feature of the Soul King himself as that 4th person, but any "evidence" for that has to be pulled almost exclusively from LN's even tho those are largely just trying to elaborate on unresokved hooks still present in the manga. But it all feels a little too loose to me to really build upon, and despite Kubo's general umbrella of blessing over Narita's work, I really don't regard most of it as particularly functionally compatible with canon.)

Also just let me say: I hate that in my brain this whole process and everything that is to come feels like I takes so few thoughts/so little brain space to conceive of, and yet somehow it all just inflates into so many more words over so much more page/screen space, and it feels so wasteful and inefficient...

...which brings us back to that very brief association with Kaien. Rukia doesn't just describe Kaien's infectious positivity and caring personality with warmth and light, she does so while recalling how he defines "Heart" a theme central-ish to the series as a whole.(although Kubo seems to have had a bit of an issue with keeping it particularly focused...) "Heart" is the bond between people, and it is the memory and will that survives after death, carried on by others.

And "Heart" is what Ichigo inherited from his mother; Rukia from Kaien; and it's what binds Ichigo and Rukia together when they rescue one another --first when Rukia saves Ichigo by lending him her powers, and returned when Ichigo rescues Rukia from her execution. "Heart" is what ties Ichigo to his friends, and awakens spiritual awareness and powers in them(Not just Chad and Orihime, but Tatsuki and Keigo as well)

"Heart" ties people together, "Heart" is Love, Love is sovereign, Love is both the gravity that holds people in orbit and the nurturing Light and Warmth of the Sun.

As an interesting parallel to this, Ichigo kind of hastily and not too convincingly gives us the idea that Aizen wound up the way he was because his power alienated him from others, and that what he lacked was love and understanding and companionship: human connections. But there is a little more to that, because when he defected from Soul Society and vowed to become a god, where did he go but a place of darkness and night: a place opposite Soul Society and furthest from the Light and from God/The Soul King? And more than that, he built Los Noches under the light of a false, illusory sun and united under its roof an army of beings defined by the removal of their hearts. But his army was fraught with in-fighting, and he himself didn't really value them, even as he forced that organizational structure on them. Aizen was not a Sun-like character(and although not in direct contrast to the sun in text, he is of course very explicitly compared to the moon repeatedly), but he tried to put himself in the position of one, and he failed to replicate that role's effects. He's an anti-sun, the absence of sun, of light, of warmth, of love, of heart, and of connection.

So then circling back to Yhwach, and much of his role in the TYBW arc are just kind of awkward, clunky rehashing of the Arrancar arc, right down to the white uniforms opposite the shinigami's black robes, the clean white/silver architecture, and the not very clever shift from a world of night to a world of shadow as the villain's base of operations. But with the Quincy there is the added emphasis on ice and thus the cold... an absence of warmth.

Yhwach however isn't himself a symbolic anti-sun the way Aizen was, he's an alternate sun; Although ironically it was Aizen who wanted to be god, and Yhwach who wants to undo the world... you'd think that should be the other way around. Yhwach can fulfil the function of a Sun, just like the Soul King does, like Ichigo and Jugram(And Uryuu?) implicitly can, and just like Aizen tried and failed to do. But Yhwach's "love" is not a healthy bond. It and its powers are conditional, fickle, hierarchical, and ultimately exploitative. He draws people to him with false charity, guidance, and nurturing only to throw them away for his own benefit when needed. He is a shadow sun --"shadow" in the archetypical sense-- he is all the downsides of what the bond of love/heart, is and can be. We see this touched on when he uses the auschwalen and we see ever so briefly how Bazz-B and Liltotto, and to lesser extent Giselle and Robert, respond to it; they're betrayed on an obvious personal level being left powerless, but they also question what their worth or purpose was, what they are or mean to Yhwach that he would abandon them without warning.

(i thought I'd find a better place for this but as a random factoid about that above image: The Soul King having no limbs feels to me like a reference to Bodhidharma, the Buddhist monk said to have achieved such a state of complete enlightenment that his total enrapture with his mental state rendered his body inert. Eventually his body atrophied and his limbs fell off, and ultimately he became as stone in his transcendence. From this the Japanese have a common charm that are the red urn-like shaped dolls of the limbless Daruma; they're generally sold with blank eyes and when you get one you make a wish or set a goal while painting in the first eye, and you don't paint in the second eye until the goal has been reached, so the incomplete figure serves as a reminder of your aspirations. And incidentally the Daruma figure's iconic moustache isn't dissimilar to Yhwach's. And over all it feels like there was always an implicit but underdeveloped dual role in Bleach in which the Soul King, and by some lesser association Yhwach, function as both Buddhist and Christian deities.)

Rather conspicuously, I mentioned the other day Yhwach's brief comparison to the "Buckbeard"/"Backbeard" in its own right and didnt really think there was any relevance to draw from it then, but visually the Backbeard is actually pretty literally drawn as a Black Sun. And although I dont give this a whole lot of credence, the idea that Yhwach being a part of Ichigo's inner soul and identity accounts for his inheriting that shadow sun quality.

And this gets us to the actual root motif here... Sun is one thing but why Black Sun specifically for Ichigo? The theme actually goes all the way back to Zombie Powder, as I mentioned back at the start of this... Akutabi Gamma's sword style uses a "ring of flames" crest that is a sun icon, and the sword style's technique utilize black flames, ergo the flames of a black sun. And although this doesn't show up too much in Bleach, it's the initial visual inspiration for Ichigo's black getsuga tenshou while in bankai, as well as the tattoo pattern on his final hollow form. But beyond that line of rather obscure references, it's not entirely clear if there was ever any real coherent meaning to it.

Kubo originally made Ichigo and Orihime an overt Tanabata reference in the pilot one-shot, and as such Ichigo had a star theme to mark his role as Hikoboshi. Although the relationship was never actually brought up again and in fact pretty actively buried when Orihime's (grand)father figure was replaced with her brother, Ichigo did retain some themes of having his happiness interrupted by rain. (the Tanabata festival and myth indicate that stars Vega and Altair can only meet once a year, and if it should rain on that day, then they have to wait until the next year to try again.) I don't know how to end this...

Kubo plays with some broad imagery of rain and sadness, rain and bridging heaven and earth(ala tankobon poems) but only in the aforementioned databook covers SOULs and VIBEs does that cross paths with the Sun imagery. But on the flip side of that, Rukia is far from the only figure associated with the moon, and those come in a wide variety of tones and contexts...

Rukia as a beautiful white moon, similar to Hyoruinmaru's implicit moon wordplay. but then Byakuya and Aizen as overtly antagonistic moon symbols. Ichigo and Zangetsu itself are also confusingly associated with a Black Moon as well as Black Sun...

In fact, I would normally have assumed Zangetu's name should be translated as "Cut The Moon" and not "Cutting Moon" that way Viz translates it. That is to say the name seems more overtly to describe "That which Cuts the Moon," and not "A Moon that Cuts," and the Sun could thus be said to be that which cuts the Moon. The former aligns with much of the unreachable moon metaphor Kubo plays with in the Soul Society arc, where as the latter is just kind of nonsense? I mean, it describes the Getsuga Tenshou having a moon shape and it cuts, but that feels flimsy. (As a comparison. the word zantetsuken[斬鉄剣] which I assume Zangetsu[斬月] is deliberately made to sound like, is written "cut + iron + sword" as in "A sword that cuts iron" and not "an iron sword that cuts.")

In any case the thing that throws a wrench in what I feel is my more sensible interpretation is how the chapter where Ichgio uses Bankai is called Black Moon Rising, clearly indicating Ichigo and Zangetsu are said rising moon. And Mugetsu[無月]:"No Moon" really only reads as an "Absent Moon" and not "Eliminate the Moon." I mean.. i technically could, but mu-[無] is a common prefix so there's really no reason to jump to it as the root of a verb when the prefix reading is the most obvious, plus [無月] is a direct play on the poetic term for a moonless sky, which again puts the subject on the sky and not on the act of "(making)nothing'.

I'm at that point where I'm off on some tangent of a tangent and i don't really remember how i started, where im going, or how to get back on track...... and i'm tired... (i did a whole giant thing on the awkward adjacency to historic n-zi iconography Kubo keeps getting and how much it's both super cringy and yet totally harmless, largely because it all turns out to be meaningless... and that was like 4 paragraphs all to itself and had nothing to add to anything. I reiterate: Tired.) I don't know what i was getting at. That there's a Sun motif. And it's more extensive than it seems. And a little random in where it shows up. And variable in what it actually stands for. And had a lot more potential to it than Kubo ever got around to really making of it.(surprise, surprise, that's Bleach in a nutshell) I don't know how to end this...

“Daiki, you have to let go.”

“NO!”

“Daiki!”

“NO!!”

“Mom, dad can’t you guys do anything?” 

“NO!”

“Daiki, (Y/N) has to leave for university.”

“NO I don’t want her too!” 

“Why not?” 

“You will forget about me!” He began to tear up and you covered your mouth.

“Oh my little gummy bear. I would never forget about you. How can I? I have the worlds cutest little brother.” You said as he was tearing up and sobbed slightly. You opened your arms, and he ran into them, hugging you tightly.

“Promise?”

“I promise, in fact here.” You gave him your basketball and he held it in his very tiny hands.

“Whenever you play basketball, I will be right there with you. You won’t see me, but I will be the sun rays shining down, the wind that ruffles your hair. Okay?” He continued to sniffle and nodded his head.

“I will be the best basketball player ever! So you can always be with me. I will be just like you! King of the court, and you will be the queen.” 

“Uh oh, looks like everyone better beware of the Aomine siblings.” Your father said causing you to laugh and ruffle his hair. 

“I love you mom, dad, gummy bear. I will call often and visit when I can. Gummy bear, you got to be a big boy and not cry when I leave okay?”

“O-Okay…” He sniffled trying not to cry, as you left to get on the plane. When it took off he couldn’t help it, and began to cry his eyes out.

~time skip~

That was six years ago, and you were finally done with university. You got off the plane, you weren’t expecting your family to come pick you up because they had work. Plus, your arrival was a surprise for them and your little gummy bear. You smiled remembering standing in this very airport leaving, and he was balling his eyes out. 

“I wonder if he actually became any good.” You hummed to yourself, you glanced at a poster on the wall and saw there was a basketball finals today. That’s when you saw a familiar name Aomine Daiki.

“So the cry baby is known as a former generation of miracles? I could still kick his ass anytime of day.” You mumbled to yourself deciding to head straight there. You had made it just in time to see the game start.

“Phew almost missed it.” You were panting and sat down in an empty seat. A guy with short black hair stared at you confused but ignored you.

“Whoa she is seriously cute.” Pop…. you heard him pop his gum and you rolled your eyes.

“Do you have a boyfriend.”

“Nope.”

“Be m~”

“I am 24 years old. You are my brother’s age please back off disrespectfully.” Was all you said and several of them had snickered. The game started and you were impressed, though you realized he wasn’t the same kid you knew. 

“Tsk this idiot, the hell is he talking about ‘Only person that can beat me is me.’ I may have to crush him after this game.” You mumbled and leaned against your hand and crossed your leg over the other. You could feel other people’s eyes on you.

“Doesn’t she look familiar?”

“Yeah, like that female basketball player from six years ago. Uh what is her name whom she looks like.”

“Are you talking the queen of the courts?”

“Yeah her.”

“(Y/N)?”

“Aomine (Y/N), nice to meet you now please watch the game, I am not the one playing.” You said and they quickly turned their heads to focus the game. 

The game ended and Aomine’s team had won. You stood up and walked to where their locker room was. 

“Hi…”

“(Y/N)?”

“Oh Momoi, look at you. You look amazing.” You gave her hug and she hugged back. The team was confused and she smiled. 

“I didn’t know you were back.”

“Yeah, I wanted to surprise my little gummy bear, who is no longer little but he is still little.” You both laughed.

“Well good luck finding him he disappeared after the game.

“Fucking Daiki, I am going to kick his ass.” You growled around the same time another guy said that he was going to beat the crap out of him. You both stared at each other and you looked him up and down. 

“Anyway, do you have an idea where he could be?”

“Yeah, he went outside.”

“Okay, uh who is the captain.”

“I am Imayoshi.”

“Okay well he isn’t coming back tonight. Bye.”

“Wait why?”

“Uh because I said so. Don’t question your elders boy.” You said and left and Imayoshi glanced at Momoi confused.

“That is Dai~chans older sister who is 24 years old. Aomine (Y/N), queen of the court to this day.” 

“Ahh, does she say the same thing as Aomine?”

“No, she believes in team work, and what not.” 

“Ahh…”

You looked around for your younger brother before seeing him walking ahead. You jogged up to him, and jumped on his back.

“Who the hell~”

“Hey gummy bear…” 

“(Y/N)?”

“That is me,” you jumped off and he turned around hugging you.

“What are you doing here?”

“I finished school and I am here to stay.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, looks like my little gummy bear is no longer little.”

“Please don’t call me that.”

“Too bad, its your nickname, and I am older.”

“Tsk.” Despite him looking angrily, he had a small smile on his face.

“By the way, what do you mean only person that can beat you is you? Wanna test that theory?” 

“Against you? I will end you.”

“Pfft. Should I give you a handicap since you just had a game?”

“Don’t need one, though we both know I will win.”

“Big talk, for someone who can’t even claim the king of the court.” 

“Okay first off…” 

“Ah ah put your moves where your mouth is honey.” You took the basketball out of your bag and went to the basketball court. Neither one of you realized his team was watching. 

After about a hour of playing Aomine ended up admitting defeat, the score gap was just getting larger, and he knew you were giving him a handicap.

“You win, you win. How can you still be so good?”

“Did you think I just stopped playing after high school? Nah basketball is my passion you know this…”

“Yeah, yeah, you probably claimed the title Queen of the court in America…”

“Yep, even have some cute minions that learned under me and Alex.”

“Did you just call me and Himuro minions?” You turned to see Kagami.

“Yes I did… what are you doing here?”

“Well we heard a basketball match going on here. What are you doing here (Y/N)?”

“Finished school, so came back home. Where is Tatsuya?”

“I think he went home… wait you are related to Aomine?”

“Yes sir, I am. His older sister. My cute adorable gummy bear.”

“Don’t call me that…” His team mates started to snicker and Kagami smirked.

“Gummy Bear?”

“Shut up I rather be a gummy bear than a minion.” Your little brother had a blush on his cheeks and you laughed softly.

“(Y/N), you should help train them. It would be great for them and you.” 

“I should but shouldn’t…”

“Why did something happen?” Your brother asked and you shrugged your shoulders. 

“I actually broke the rules, I am not really suppose to be playing until I fully recovered. I recovered just not fully.”

“What happened?” Kagami asked this time.

“Remember when I was trying to skateboard and completely and utterly failed?”

“Ye~ wait don’t tell me….”

“I fractured a bone in my leg…”

“You have to take a break from Basketball because of a non basketball related injury? What the fuck sis?”

“Yeah, yeah. Anyway, lets go home. I haven’t been home yet, I came straight here to see you.”

“Tsk, idiot.” You glared at him and grinned when he turned his back. You pulled him down and gave him sister torture kisses to embarrass him further.

“Stop that! Gross! (Y/N) stop!” 

“Who is the idiot?”

“I am sorry, just stop…” You stopped and he wiped his face disgusted.

“I always hated when you did that.”

“Liar, you enjoyed it when you were younger. Even cried when I went off for school in America.” He turned his head, wanting to dig a hole for himself.

“Shut up.”

“See ya, it was good to see you Taiga!” You wrapped your arm around his shoulders with a smile. 

“I am glad you didn’t forget me…” he trailed off quietly and looked away with a small blush.

“As I said that day, I could never forget you.” You flashed him a smile which he returned.

people’s miraculous powers as opposites to their akuma powers

here’s my theory that a person’s akuma form and miraculous form are fully opposites, or use similar powers in opposite ways

analysis

mylene: we haven’t seen mylene as a holder yet, but we DO already know what the mouse’s powers are. as horrificator, she grew and shrank according to people’s fear. she was the monster causing fear. normally, she can be “scared as a mouse,” and the mouse miraculous will allow her to multiply and shrink

rose: princess fragrance’s powers allow her to brainwash people into obeying what she wants. pigella reminds people of what they most want!

alix: timebreaker stole other people’s time for herself, while bunnix hops through time to fix the timeline for everyone

max: gamer was able to transport ppl into his game world, and pegasus can transport himself in the real world

kim: dark cupid has the power to force people to act against their true feelings, while king monkey can force objects/powers to act against their true natures

zoe: sole crusher’s method of literally stepping on people to become stronger vs the bee miraculous’ subjugation are clearly related

nino: bubbler used his barrier powers to imprison the class at adrien’s party, but protects people with barriers as carapace

alya: lady wifi hurts people because of her obsession with truth, but rena rogue protects people with illusion

more developed characters

the more main characters don’t fit into this as neatly, i suppose because they’re more complex and therefore have more complex motivations.

luka: akuma powers and miraculous powers don’t match up at all lol. truth has the same reasoning as lies, but silencer steals people’s voices and viperion has time rewind. completely unrelated

kagami: makes air slices as riposte, and perhaps uses electricity as oni-chan to change places with people over the phone. ryuko can can physically become elements. i’ll be honest lies doesn’t fit here but it was a plot-specific episode

chloe: an interesting problem. all her akuma forms are already based on another persona. first is antibug, in direct opposition to ladybug. then her only other akuma forms so far have been queen wasp/miracle queen which are literally color-swapped versions of HER hero form, queen bee. i suppose the difference is to subjugate others in order to hurt or to help

however i rather like the reading that at her very worst, when hawkmoth takes advantage of her feelings, she is a villain, and at her best she is the hero she so looks up to. while this dichotomy is true for everyone, chloe has a particular love for heroes in her everyday life, so it feels like her akumas are really playing up the dramatics of a villain role

i also wonder if her akumas being based on an existing identity is because she doesn’t actually know herself that well

EDIT: now with queen banana in the mix, i’d say she still has that “wanna-be hero but spun into a villain” thing going on! queen banana is a made-up hero she thought of as a replacement for queen bee, and hawkmoth exploits that idea once again

adrien: similarly to chloe, chat blanc is chat noir color-swapped but with basically the same design. as most akumas with miraculous inspiration, his powers are also basically the same but advanced and practically unlimited in their use

adrien is really attached to his chat noir persona, and in his pain he retreated inside it as well

marinette: wow it’ll be interesting if mari ever gets an akuma form. the closest we have is princess justice, which we can assume would’ve been to get revenge against the people prying into her business. as a hero she also values her secrets very highly, though that is more a personality thing than something related to her powers

i’m not sure her akuma would be a direct parallel to ladybug, because unlike adrien, superhero is more a job than an outlet for her repressed inner personality

speculation for future holders

juleka: reflekta was all about standing out and inflicting her appearance on other people (though in the process making herself just another one in the crowd), and so (partly inspired by @zivazivc‘s acrocat) i think it would be really cool and make a lot of sense if the tiger miraculous had camouflage powers! just thematically it works for the tiger, but it also makes sense with juleka’s canon problems with fading into the background. turn it into a positive!

ivan: stoneheart is a big rock guy that gets bigger when ppl hit him. ivan is pretty clearly the bull in the opening. i’m guessing strength to protect people? pretty straightforward.

sabrina: vanisher was invisible, and so were the objects in her bag. miraculer stole superheroes’ powers and used them herself. apparently she can give them to other people too. her miraculous could be drawing attention or copying powers, perhaps more weakly or only once as compared to miraculer’s unlimited uses. or maybe she grants her power to someone else

nathaniel: evillustrator can draw objects and then edit or move them with his tablet. his miraculous may be related to artistic creation as well. if he’s the goat, a pan flute?

On the outskirts of the city of Liones, of the capital of the country Liones, in the land of Britannia, homes destroyed, and countless holy knights laid butchered in the streets.

That day will go down in history for its infamy, the day the Seven Deadly Sins betrayed the country of Liones.

This is a tale of ancient times, an era before the human and non-human worlds were forever divided. When the Holy Knights, defended the realm, wielding their magical powers they were feared and highly respected. But among them a group emerged, that betrayed the kingdom, and became mortal enemies to all Holy Knights. They were known throughout the land as the Seven Deadly Sins.

Present day.

Near the Kaynes Village, there was a new tavern that was a buzz with customers.

“Here you go, drink up.” A young girl placed five steins of ale on the table. She had dark black hair that shown blue, pulled into twin pigtails by two pink ribbons, and bangs that framed her face and blue eyes. She wore a collared off-white shirt under a black vest with green panels. A pink skirt over leggings that reached halfway down her calf. And wore black and green boots. As more people come in, she directs them all with a smile.

“For a little lady, she is one hard working waitress.” A customer acknowledges.

“Oh no, I’m not the waiter, Buddy” She turns around. “I’m the owner of this place.” She turns to walk away.

“She’s the owner?!? A young kid like that.” But she doesn’t hear them.

“Alright, fresh from the oven. The meat pie that made the Boar Hat famous. Enjoy.” Three patrons dug into the pie, and promptly got sick. “You should have known. Our reputation is for having really good booze, but the food not so much.” She said with a completely straight face.

“Are trying to mess with us you little punk.” One shouted ready to fight.

“Wait guys, she’s packing a sword.” Another of the three pointed out. The handle was an emerald green and looked like a dragon with ruby eyes.

“Well, you guys, looks like we have a problem.” Her smile fell and she snapped her fingers. “Now let’s fix it.”

“Come on you call that a mess.” Out trotted a shiny black pig, wearing an earring tag. “Really what do you need me for?”

“Wait!!! That pig. He’s talking.”

“Yes, I’m a talking pig, what a bunch of dum-dums.”

“Plagg, we need to get this floor cleaned.” She spoke.

“Ugh, what a hassle.” Plagg complained. “Scrap disposal is a tough business.” He ate leaving, but before he did, he retorted. “Next time there better be some decent sized scraps.”

“You know I have an old family recipe for whole roasted hog.” She spoke to no one in particular, but with a deadpanned expression. Which changed Plagg’s tune quickly.

Then someone barged in. “I saw it. I really saw it.” He sat down. “I swear to all that is holy. I saw the wandering Rust Knight.”

“That’s just a made-up story, like how parents get their kids to stop misbehaving. The Seven Deadly Sins will come in blood rusted armor, oooh ahhh.”

“The Seven Deadly Sins?” She asks from behind the bar.

“You’ve never heard of them? They’re wanted posters are hanging everywhere, like those over there.”

She looks at the board and there were seven faces and seven names. Marinette, Chloe, Adrien, Luka, Felix, Lila, and Kagami.

“How long has it been? Ten years. When all those holy knights were slaughtered so fast, they couldn’t defend themselves. It was the Seven Deadly Sins that did it. From what I've been told the way the holy Knights’ grandmaster was killed was too gruesome for anyone to look at.” They began to talk amongst themselves.

“They say their captain, Marinette, is the scariest of them all. It's even said that she's brought down whole countries on her own.” Everything went quiet.

Until another patron spoke up. “Well none of them have been caught yet have not a single one.”

“They’re dead, they have to be the new Holy Knights would never let them live after what they've done.”

“Yeah you've got a point even now with the kings sick. The Holy Knights are making sure that the Kingdom stays safe for all its people. But those notices up on the board get updated every single year. Doesn’t that mean those seven criminals are still out there?”

“Yeah well some spooky knight walking around in rusty armor sounds pretty ridiculous to me.”

“You’re right.”

A crash, scraping, and banging was heard just outside the Tavern door.

“That smells an awful lot like rust to me.” Plagg sniffed the air and then cowered behind the counter.

The door opened and there stood the rusted knight. “The Seven Deadly Sins…” Hhe moaned as he entered the Tavern.

Screaming, panic, and everyone rushing out of the Tavern ensued. Fleeing from the rusted knight.

The girl jumped over the counter and stood her ground defiantly looking at the Rust knight. “Now who are you?”

The Rust knight swayed and then fell to the ground collapsed. His helmet rolled off of him. And then they saw his face, his eyes shut tight in the pain and exhaustion, his black hair short and messy stuck to his face from the sweat. And he wore a singular earring, a true blue engraved with something in red and gold.

“This kid is one of the Seven Deadly Sins?” Plagg asked the girl, and they took him up to the room taking the armor off of him. “He's just a boy.”

“Let’s just make sure.” The girl went up to the boy and started poking him first on his thigh, then his stomached, his bicep, she was leaning over him and was about to poke his cheek when his eyes flew open. “Yep, he's a boy.”

“Um, pardon me but what am I doing here?” He was quiet and soft spoken.

“Oh yeah you came into my bar then you passed out cold.”

“Your bar?”

“Yeah, the Boar Hat, my Tavern.”

“You’re the owner?”

“Is that so weird?”

“I just saw that sword, so I naturally assumed.”

“Oh, this old thing.” She motioned and pulled the sword from its scabbard. “Ha ha ha. Yeah, I guess if you only see the handle, it can fool ya huh.” All that rose up and out with her hand was the handle and a small stub was left of the blade, which was practically worthless in a fight. “It makes guests think twice about skipping out on their tabs.” She put the sword handle back into its scabbard on her back.

Which was when they moved downstairs to the raven again. Marinette cooked up something for the boy, and set the plate in front of him.

“First you nurse me back to health, now you're feeding me, how can I possibly thank you enough.” He barely choked out.

“First before saying thanks you should probably try the food first.” Plagg’s nasally voice cut into his words.

“What do you think? Awful isn't it.” She leaned down on the bar now watching him eat with a grin on her face.

“Yes.” He responded.

Which caused both her and Plagg to respond in unison. “Knew it was.”

But then something shocked them, he started to cry.

“Still its delicious.” Tears fell down his face.

“So what exactly were you doing walking around in that old armor, anyways?” She asked the boy.

“I'm on a personal quest to find the Seven Deadly Sins.” He answered.

“Why would you do that? You don’t even know if those guys are even still alive or not, and they’re serious villains.” Plagg reasoned.

That was when banging was heard on the tavern door, knights banged on the door, and ordered them to open up for them.

That was when she noticed the boy got slightly afraid at the mention of Knights.

After a moment of the Knights bickering to themselves, that gave her just enough time to think. She went and opened the door.

“Who are you?” One of the Knights asked her as she opened the door.

“I'm the owner of this place. What do you want?” She was relaxed.

“The Rust Knight is in there, send him out!” The same knight answered.

“Alright.” She turned around and looked back. “You might want to come out now.”

They all looked past her and saw Plagg dressed in the armor that the boy was wearing walk out.

“You have some nerve mocking the Knights of this land like this.” He grabbed her by the shirt and lifted her up off the ground. She was small, sure but he still held her up a meter off the ground.

That’s when the boy had snuck out of the back and made a run for it into the forest. Unfortunately, he was seen. “Look a boy just ran out, after him.”

The knight threw her back to the ground and she and Plagg shared a worried look.

The two of them ran after the boy and the Knights, Plagg mowed down, tackling each and every one, while she went after the boy. The last knight got pushed down off of the cliff at the edge of the forest by Plagg. While she and the boy were safely out of the way in one of the trees at the edge.

“So why are you looking for the Seven Deadly Sins anyways?” She asked him once they were back on the ground.

“To stop the Holy Knights.” He answered.

“Are you serious!! Why in the world would you wanna do that?” Plagg exclaimed. “The Holy Knights are the king’s men, the knights are here to protect us they are heroes.”

“But what if they were behind a plot to start a war in our country. Except for the king himself, the entire royal family was arrested and is being held by the Holy Knights.”

“Does that mean the king isn't really sick in bed?” Plagg asked the boy.

“That’s just a cover story the Holy Knights are using. I don't know what they think they can accomplish by driving the nation to war, but now they're drafting people. Taking men wherever they can get them they're preparing for war everywhere you look. So their reach will even extend all the way out here.” He shook his head.

“Yeah tough break, huh?” She finally responded.

“Wow you don't have any empathy at all. How does this tie back to the Seven Deadly Sins again?” Plagg shook his head.

“If there's even the slightest hope of preventing the Holy Knights from doing this. I know they're the only ones who can.” He was resolute.

“Just checking here.” She Butt in again. “You’re trying to find those guys even though you know what kind of people they are?”

“The Seven Deadly Sins are the most vile Order of Knights the Kingdom ever produced, made up of seven vicious bloodthirsty criminals each one branded with the mark of the beast. Ten years ago when they were suspected of trying to overthrow the Kingdom the Knights of the realm launched a full force attack scattering them to the four winds.”

“Well if you believe the rumors they each died a long time ago.” She spoke distractedly.

“Such amazing people wouldn't possibly let themselves get killed!”

“But they are criminals aren't they causing the suffering of the people right now?” She asked confused.

“When I was small, only five or six years old, my father would tell me stories about them and that's when I learned they are the most powerful Knights!”

A rumbling was heard and then the edge of the cliff they were on started to crumble and fall beneath them, dropping them down.

“I did not confirm whether or not they were people named in the report. Conclusion two individuals of unknown origin dead. What do you think men that sounds about right?” A man wearing red armor, silver grey hair and mustache.

“But Sir Twiggle, one of our knights was still under the cliff.”

“Simply put three fatalities in the report then.” Twiggle answered haughtily.

“But Sir, you can't! That’s too far even for you”

“How about seven fatalities instead?” The knight in red armor moved towards the rest of his men, but that was also when she jumped back up on to the cliff with not only the boy and Plagg in her arms but also the knight who fell.

“When I give a signal to you run into the forest got it.” She spoke quietly to the boy.

“Which one of them would you believe to be a member of the Seven Deadly Sins. Neither bears any resemblance to the wanted posters?” He then noticed something. “God is smiling upon me today, the crystal earring you're wearing is from the royal family. Conclusion you are Prince Jonathan!”

“Wait hold on Prince Jonathan?” The knights shouted.

“You're a Prince?” She added softly.

“Orders from the Capital are to determine your whereabouts. the order was to capture you alive and in healthy condition, but if you lost your life in an unfortunate accident…” Twiggle spoke aloud.

“I can't allow myself to get captured not yet!”

“Conclusion accidental death.” Sir Twiggle let off a shockwave of air magic chopping the entire forest down to the ground.

“Hi there, you alright?” She had pulled him down and covered him from the blast. “Plagg?”

“Seriously I'm a shaved pork on a skewer.” He cried. A single small little twig had splintered in his back. And he went off crying and screaming Tikki.

Johnathan stood and started to walk towards Twiggle. “Johnathan. Hey! What are you doing?” She called after him.

“There’s no escape.”

“Wait hang on you just said you couldn't afford to be caught or to give up.”

“Maybe if I surrender myself peacefully, he'll agree to take me back with him and your life can be spared.”

Sir Twiggle sent off another blast cutting into everything again, but she was able to tackle him out of the way just in time.

“Please get out of here while you still can.” He begged her.

“I think he wants to make sure neither one of us gets out of here alive.” She noticed as She was above him once more. After the attack ensuring he was fine yet again, the only real damage done to her, and that was her left sleeve was completely torn revealing her entire arm from shoulder to fingers. A mark barely visible on her shoulder.

“I was so happy when I met you. Searching for the Seven Deadly Sins, I so scared alone in that rusty armor. There wasn't any help I could ask for. Then you show up and show me such kindness, someone that you've never met before. I don't wanna see you hurt my problems anymore when I don’t even know your name.”

Memories flashed behind her eyes and a smile spread on her lips.

“Marinette. If you really wanna know.” She grinned from ear to ear.

“I… I don't believe it you can't be you're just.” Tears threatened to fall from his eyes.

That was when the knight who fell with them regained consciousness jumping up. “Where's the girl the one with the sword. I saw it when she saved me from the cliff the symbol it was right there. The symbol on her shoulder it… it… it’s her.”

Sir Twiggle struck again now closer, right on top of them. The magic was unleashed but Marinette stood up and was now facing the Knight.

“How is this possible? My technique was flawless I am certain my blade struck her!” Twiggle began to look even more and more frazzled. “But I was the one who felt the force of the blow. How could it have hit me?! And what is that in your hand?! A broken blade! Broken blade… now your face is beginning to look familiar. Truly it can’t! How can you look exactly the same as you did then?!? No matter your time's up! How dare you still exist!”

Their blades clashed their magic erupted, which sent Twiggle and his men flying high, high into the sky almost like a meteorite.

“Extraordinary power.” Johnathan breathed.

“Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, the Dragon sin of Wrath, Marinette.” She announced.

Daminette - The Goddess of Deception vs the Goddess of Creation Pt. 1

Marinette, goddess of deception, at least, that’s what everyone thought. In reality, she was the goddess of creation, but all the other gods and goddesses had handed over the title to another goddess. Lila was her name, and she was the actual goddess of deception, not that anyone except for Marinette knew. Even the queens and kings of Olympus Tikki, Plagg, Wayzz, etc. were starting to believe Lila. How did Lila manage to do this? Well, it all happened a year ago.

(A Year Ago)

Marinette was heading out to meet her friends. Once she arrived, she heard a loud, obnoxious voice claiming to be the Goddess of Creation. She looked around and saw a girl with sausage hair, talking to the rest of her friends. Supposedly, she found out she was the goddess a couple of months ago, and she and the god of the sun, Adrien were to be married in six years. While the dates were correct, her claims most certainly were not. Marinette then came up and questioned, “How could you possibly be the goddess of creation?”

Yeah, tactlessness was not her forte. Sausage hair burst into tears, exclaiming, “Of course you would question me! I expect nothing less from the goddess of deception.” Marinette couldn’t believe what she just heard, she tried to stammer out an answer, but after sausage hair’s response, everyone swiftly turned to glare at her.

“That’s so not cool, have you been lying to us the whole time, Marinette,” Alya yelled, “And just because you are the goddess of deception, that doesn’t mean you have to have it out for poor Lila.” Oh, so Lila was her name, it should be Liar, not Lila. Everyone continued shouting similar things to Marinette, and out of the corner of her eye, she could see Lila looking at her smugly.

Lila then loudly laughed and said, “Well, I should tell more about what it’s like being the goddess of creation, ” and she then dragged everyone along, leaving Marinette shaking with blinding rage. She felt a tap on her shoulder and looked around to see Adrien looking at her. He had a disappointed look in his eyes.

“Marinette, why would you do that? If you leave Lila alone, she will get some more friends and will eventually admit that she isn’t the goddess of creation. Just play along.” It made Marinette even angrier was he implying that she should leave her future in the hands of a LIAR!

Marinette gave him a cold glare, “ I don’t care what you think, Mr. Agreste. You think Lila’s well being is more important over my own. She is stealing my title and future, and it will end up harming everyone, including me.” She saw him opening his mouth to most likely retort, but before he could, she turned on her heal and said, “Have a good rest of your day Mr. Agreste.” After seeing Adrien’s true colors, Marinette swore that if she ever got out of this mess and be identified as the true goddess of creation, she would do everything in her power so that she wouldn’t marry Adrien. For he is a fool, the god of the sun is.

~Present~

Marinette sighed, reminiscing in the consequences that day. Who knew that her friends had so little faith in her?! The only good thing that came out of the whole ordeal was that she ended up dodging a bullet in having to marry Adrien. But, she realized that if she does come out as the true goddess of creation, she would have to marry him. Fortunately, it would be a bit harder for her to do because Adrien had kissed Lila, which resulted in the breaking of the bond between Marinette and Adrien. It came with a price of immense pain, but the bond, still broken.

Either way, she would end up losing something if she left or stayed, and did she want to out her true identity to a group of people who believed a stranger over her? No, she didn’t. So, she made the hard decision to disappear, well the semi-hard decision. She would miss her parents, the god of baked goods and family, and the goddess of the harvest. She would miss Luka, the god of music, Juleka the goddess of insecurities, Kagami the goddess of war, and surprisingly Chloe, the goddess of subjection, whom she got closer to over the year of isolation that Marinette faced from her old friends. Nonetheless, she would be sad about leaving them, but she needed this. She got in contact with her Grandma, goddess of traveling, and she then left for the mortal world, saying goodbye to Olympus, if only for a couple of years.

(Time Skip of 4 years)

It has been four years since Marinette left Olympus, and she was so happy. She was able to explore so many different places in the mortal world with her grandma. But, unfortunately, her grandma was needed back in Olympus a year ago, so she had been traveling by herself ever since. She was currently in Los Angeles, California. It was crowded with many mortals and was very noisy, but it was incredibly beautiful and a new experience for her. She was walking around the city when she saw a doorway. She looked around and saw that none of the mortals could see it, meaning it belonged to Olympus. She looked back at it and saw a dark figure leaning against the alleyway leading to the doorway. When he saw her, he pushed off the wall and walked to her. He stepped in front of her and smirked, “Little goddess, what are you doing all alone? And why are you looking at one of the gateways to the Underworld?”

Wait, Los Angeles was one of the gateways to the Underworld?! (Yes, I did get this idea from Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief) But, if that’s the gateway to the Underworld, then it meant that this figure in front of her was Damian, the god of the Underworld! “Yes, I am,” Oh, crap, she said that out loud. “Little Goddess, you didn’t answer my question. Why are you here and not on Olympus?”

It took a minute for the question to register into her brain before she promptly explained how Lila claimed the title of the goddess of creation, how she was the real goddess of creation. How she got completely isolated because Lila said that she was the goddess of deception. Marinette ranted about how her life had been five years ago, and how Marinette had had enough, deciding to leave Olympus for the mortal world. The whole time, she could see Damian’s face growing darker, and he looked like he would try as hard as he could to commit a murderer to a goddess, which confused her. Why did he care she just met him? By the end of her tirade, Marinette was panting for air, before she realized that he might no believe her like her old friends. So she timidly asked, “Do you believe me?”

Damian was snapped out of his murderer planning and quickly reassured her, “Of course, I believe you! I can feel the aura of creation surrounding you while you can most likely feel the aura of destruction and death around me.” She understood what he meant about the auras. She was also relieved that she had finally found someone who believed her.

Damian watched her closely before asking her a question that changed everything, “Would you like to go to the Underworld with me?” Marinette looked startled for a second before carefully thinking about her answer. It would be a great experience staying in the Underworld. And Damian had been so kind to her so far, on top of all that he believed her. No one believed her, especially not a stranger. She looked him straight in the eye before giving him her answer, “Yes.”

Damian leads her through the doorway, and after a series of confusing twists and turns, they finally reached the Underworld. Most would find it dark and spooky, but for Marinette, she was in awe of how all the shadows mixed to make a type of beauty that was found only in a place like the Underworld. Damian was watching her closely and smiled softly at the look of sheer awe displayed on her face.

Before he could say anything, a loud voice yelled from somewhere, “Well, if it isn’t Demon spawn, and look, he brought a goddess!” They turned around and, Marinette saw a god, as she assumed, with black hair with a shock of white along with blue-green eyes. His sentence was followed by a crash and dogs barking, and finally, three more gods barreled in from a doorway. Two of them squealed in delight, while the other one yelled, “Is that a real, goddess?” (I did just casually quote Frozen in the middle of my one-shot)

From there, it was chaos, all the boys were asking questions, trying to know her, but all of the questions were flying overhead, none of them understandable. Having enough, Damian whistled, halting everything to a stop. “Tt, enough you useless, morons! What’s going to happen now is that you are going to shut the hell up, let me explain how I met her, and then you will ask Father and Pennyworth to come here so that I may introduce each of you to her. UNDERSTAND!” They all muttered agreements and then waited for Damian to explain how they met. Damian then went on to explain how they met and exactly what Marinette told him about her past. By the end, all the boys looked like they wanted to tease him or get more info on Marinette. They decided to choose the former.

“Oooh, the demon’s in love. The brat found a girl on the street,” the boy that was in the room from when they first arrived exclaimed.

“Tt Todd, go get Father and Pennyworth so I can introduce you,” Damian yelled harshly. The other boy raised his hands as if to surrender and ran out of the room. After some awkward silence, he came back with two gods trailing after him.

“Damian, what is this,” the younger of the men asked.

“Father, this is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, she is the goddess of creation, but the goddess of deception claimed her title, and everyone thinks that Marinette is the goddess of deception,” he went on to explain everything he already explained to the other gods. Once he finished explaining, he introduced everyone. “Marinette, I would like to introduce you to my Father, Bruce Wayne. These are my adopted brothers, Jason Todd, Tim or Timothy Drake, Dick or Richard Grayson. My best friend Jon or Jonathan Kent, and my butler Alfred Pennyworth. Father is the god of darkness and adoption, Todd the god of weapons and witchcraft, Grayson the god of death, Drake the god of judgment, Alfred the god of emotions, and finally, Kent, the god of happiness. If you couldn’t tell, he’s visiting.”

Marinette smiled widely at all of them, “It’s nice to meet you all.”

“Ahhh, blinded, we’ve been by the pure sunshine that you are,” Jason yelled, covering his eyes. Marinette’s mood automatically soured, “Please, don’t compare me to the sun. You would be comparing me to the god of the sun who is an asshole and a coward.” They all raised an eyebrow

at her response but didn’t further question it.

“Go be idiots somewhere else, heathens,” Damian screamed, pulling out a katana with the intent to impale them. All of his brothers and his friend ran out of the room, screaming bloody murderer, while his Father and Alfred calmly walked out.

Damian turned back to Marinette, “Would you like to stay for a little bit?” Damian asked. “Would you like to stay forever?” someone shrieked along with a thump. (If you couldn’t already tell, I am obsessed with Disney movies. This was a Mulan reference.)

Marinette smiled gently and replied, “I think I would like that.” Loud whoops, were heard after her response, which caused Damian to groan in exasperation.

(Time Skip, it is about the time of the “Lila’s” and Adrien’s wedding)

Marinette has been staying in the Underworld with Damian and his family, and she has been enjoying it. They were all very kind and supportive of her. They helped her, and she found common interests with each of them. But, out of all of them, she connected with Damian the most. He was the one that brought her here, and he was the one who always had her interests in mind. He made sure to check in on her every day, making sure that she was satisfied with her day and didn’t want to leave the Underworld. Marinette wouldn’t admit it out loud, but she loved how much he doted on her. It was a nice change for her. But, she finally realized the actual reason when it smacked her in the face, literally.

She was walking down one of the long windy halls that she would most likely end up getting lost in, but her being the stubborn person that she was, refused to ask for help. She then smacked right into a shirtless Damian. He grabbed her shoulders to steady her and looked at her, “Are you alright, Marinette?”

But she couldn’t answer. The only thing she was capable of doing at the moment was staring at Damian’s toned chest. It was smooth and had a beautiful shine to it underneath the lights. He had huge biceps, broad shoulders, and a very clear eight-pack. He had just finished exercising, so he was sweating, which made him look even hotter,“…Marinette, MARINETTE!”

“Huh,” she mumbled out. Damian gave her a curious look, “What were you looking at?”

She looked up at him, “You hot, I -I mean, you look nice, n-n-no, uhh your a chest look amazing, w-wait no, ” she then started mumbling to herself, so that Damian couldn’t understand her and hid her face in her hands.

He gently took her hands and rested them on his chest while putting his hands on her hips and pulling her closer, “So, you think I’m hot. Am I hot enough for you to do this?” He started leaning forward slowly so that she could pull away anytime. Yet, she didn’t. She instead tilted her head up and brought her lips closer to his, fluttering her eyes shut. Their lips met in a moment of passion. Her lips were warm and sweet, almost like strawberries, and they molded against his lips. Damian gripped the back of her neck, deepening the kiss, evolving it from chaste to intimate. It felt like a dream, her hands around his neck, his in her hair, and around her waist. Her finding the feeling of being loved. She pulled away and put her hands back on his chest. She looked into his amazing emerald eyes and his swollen lips while panting in sync with him. He pulled her close again and asked her after giving her a peck on the lips, “ Be my girlfriend?” “Yeah,” she replied, and they went back to kissing, this time making out. They heard the cries of joy at her response, it looks like they had some incompetent fools to murderer later, but for now, it was just them.

That had been a couple of months ago, and they were happy together. While things were going great in the Underworld, things were falling apart in Olympus and the mortal realm. Because Marinette, the real goddess of creation, was in the Underworld, plants stopped growing, and many other things that the goddess of creation controls, was, in the process, of destruction. In Olympus, the Kings and Queens were trying to figure out the cause of the lack of life in the mortal realm. And so they went to Lila. Lila claimed that someone was stealing her powers. The kings and queens were skeptical, but since everyone else believed her, they figured that it must be the truth. And so, everyone on Olympus was ordered to find the thief. And the wedding of creation and sun was to commence.

Back in the Underworld, Damian and Marinette were making plans to expose Lila, but one thing was still troubling Marinette, “Dami?”

“Yes, little goddess.”

“If I do go through with the plan, I would have to marry Adrien. I don’t want to marry him!”

Damian hummed thoughtfully, “That does seem like a problem. What do you suggest?”

She blushed underneath his loving gaze, “Would you be willing to marry me?” Damian looked stunned, opening and closing his mouth, looking like a fish. After several failed attempts to speak, he manages a nod with a hint of red splayed across his cheeks. Marinette squealed and tackled him to the ground.

Dick came inside, pretending that he wasn’t listening to their conversation the whole time, “Well, congratulations, make sure to use protection, we don’t need little demons running around the place.” Marinette blushed and swiftly tucked her face into the crook of Damian’s shoulder. If looks could kill, Dick would be dead three times over with the glare Damian was giving him at the moment. Dick seeing his reaction, quickly left the room in an attempt to avoid being stabbed by Damian.

Marinette cuddled into Damian. Damian looked at her tenderly and spoke, “When do you want the wedding to be? And before you answer, I want to tell you something. If we get married, we would be together legally, but you won’t be the Queen of the Underworld automatically. To do that, you need to eat these six pomegranate seeds, but don’t do it for me, I don’t want to ruin your life, okay?” She looked at him and nodded, “Good.”

They held the wedding the next day. It was a beautiful ceremony, but none of Damian’s family could believe it. Who would have thought that the goddess that he met in an alleyway in Los Angeles would be with him forever? None of them expected it. By the end, both Marinette and Damian were happy that they were together. But, they still had one more obstacle to face, the wedding of the goddess of creation and the god of the sun.
