The outer surface of pollen grain cell walls exhibit a remarkable variety of sculptural features that play important ecological roles in the transfer of pollen from flower to flower (Figure 21.4A). Equally complex, however, are the multiple subsurface wall layers that provide a labyrinth of internal spaces where lipids and proteins may be deposited (Figure 21.4B).

eddie diaz reading poem after poem after poem looking for the words that describe how he feels. “i will love you if i never see you again, i will love you if i see you every tuesday” and “not to me. not if it’s you” and “stain them. i don’t care” and “no one has ever known you as i know you” and “my heart is so full of you i can hardly call it my own” and “i want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees” and “it’s still you. it’s still you.” and “i think i wished for you all my life” and “i am prepared to be devastated by you” and “i would invent god if it made you happy” and “your love will be safe with me” and “you’ll never have to peel your own oranges again” and “i want you to eat well” and “the goodness inside of you is stronger than my fear” and “domine, non sum dignus ut intres sub tectum meum: sed tantum dic verbo et sanabitur anima mea” and “if you are intolerable let me be the one to tolerate you” and “everlasting. deathless.” but none of them are big enough to fit all of his love and so he says buck’s name and prays he knows what those four letters mean.

Since a couple of you asked, here’s the answer:
Tumblr media
(Note: This is an alternate version of Susan that I came up with. Sort of related to the canon but with some changes) After the Doctor left her behind, Susan lived a long happy life with David. After David’s death, Susan regenerated into a new body and tried to return to Gallifrey. But she had to keep a low profile to avoid the Time Lords that were after her (one of the reasons why the Doctor and Susan left in the first place). Despite this, Susan wanted children of her own. She ran into Tectum, who would offer her grandfather’s dna to give her children. But it came at a price. After her children were born, they were taken away by the Time Lords to be raised by them. But this didn’t stop Susan from sneaking in to see her children, secretly taking them in her own stolen TARDIS. Going on adventures like her grandfather used to do. During the time war, it was Susan who broke the rules by taking her children out of Gallifrey. The Time Lords had them chased down, causing Cyrus, her second son to be lost in space. But she did manage to get Nomad and Rawya to an escape pod to land on Earth so they could live on her second home, Earth.
Whatever happened to Susan after that remains a mystery to this day…

From the pages of doctor who magazine”
Liberation of the daleks collects the official fourteen episode introductory story for the new doctor. David Tennant plays the new doctor, officially designated as number 14, but as he is the 15th regeneration since hartnell changed to troughton that makes him technically the 16th doctor. * see list at end! Anyway, this story takes place in the first hour of the new doctor's regeneration, starting with him entering the tardis after his regeneration at the end of the brilliant power of the doctor. The story is fun and well written by Alan barnes, a veteran of who comic strips. Lee Sullivan's art is exquisite throughout and this is a welcome addition to the doctor who magazine collections. The next collection out is the second Jodie book, one which is long overdue.
* regenerations. From the timeless child to the newest incarnation. A rough guide.
If we assume the first child we see is the original body and if we assume that each child we see tectum (not sure of the spelling!) with is consecutive then the doctor's time line becomes
The timeless child - original body
The timeless child - 1st regeneration
The timeless child - 2nd regeneration
The timeless child - 3rd regeneration
The timeless child - 4th regeneration
The timeless child - 5th regeneration
The timeless child - 6th regeneration
The timeless child - 7th regeneration this is the older child who we see joining the division. He is the first division agent doctor
Division agent doctor - multiple regenerations ending with the brain of morbius doctors:
Christopher Barry
Robert banks Stewart
Chris Baker
Philip hinchliffe
Douglas camfield
Graeme Harper
Robert Holmes
George gallaccio
Then...
Jo Martin
Two possible ways here. Jo Martin tries to run from division. She is eventually captured, regenerated and continues to work for division until granted retirement with the final face before hartnell which is George. Or jo is the final agent before hartnell, runs, gets captured and is granted retirement under conditions of memory wipe, which seems to be the answer as indicated in the Flux storyline of 2021. Either way...
The timeless doctor - post division retirement
The doctor 1st body post retirement - William hartnell
The doctor 1st regeneration post retirement - Patrick troughton
The doctor 2nd regeneration post retirement - jon pertwee
The doctor 3rd regeneration post retirement - Tom Baker
The doctor 4th regeneration post retirement - Peter davison
The doctor 5th regeneration post retirement - colin baker
The doctor 6th regeneration post retirement - Sylvester mccoy
The doctor 7th regeneration post retirement - Paul mcgann
The war doctor 8th regeneration post retirement - John hurt
The doctor 9th regeneration post retirement - Christopher eccleston (10th doctor)
The doctor 10th regeneration post retirement - David Tennant
The doctor partial 11th regeneration post retirement - David Tennant
Metacrisis human doctor remaining 11th regeneration energy - David Tennant
The doctor 12th regeneration post retirement - Matt smith (13th doctor)
The doctor/curator future regeneration post retirement - Tom baker
The doctor 13th regeneration post retirement - Peter capaldi
The doctor 14th regeneration post retirement - Jodie Whittaker
The doctor 15th regeneration post retirement - David Tennant
The doctor 16th regeneration post retirement - Ncuti gatwa (17th doctor)
The doctor's number has now been a bit of a moot point since the war doctor/Tennant second regeneration.

The wonderful @artdecosupernova-writing tagged me for a word find! Thank you so much friend. I hope the words are flowing freely. ^_^
I’m gonna tag back @artdecosupernova-writing ,plus @kd-holloman , @cabaretofwords ,@isherwoodj ,@winterandwords , @blind-the-winds , @nanashi23 and @kaatiba to find the words full, new, burn, sign, without and break.
My words are seek, combine, tell, number, sigh and cold. I’m gonna pull from my current favourite project, which is essentially CASCADE; I don’t have many words for INUNDATE at the moment, but if any pop up I’ll throw those in too. :D Without any further ado:
seek
Jay POV
At least then he’d still have his connection to the Orn.
That vague itch pressed against his consciousness, and he tried to shove it away. It was getting a little easier, though no less uncomfortable. Even the design of the Manacles didn’t help; having a constant, physical and oftentimes visual reminder that he couldn’t touch the Orn was maddening. Somewhere in the back of his brain Jay wondered if that was the point.
There wasn’t even any other new entrustees he could look to for a sign of when the fuckers might deign to remove them. Aside from him, the newest entrustee had been there for months, and apparently she’d immediately buddied up with Clark. So it wasn’t like Jay could seek her out and ask how many assignments she’d been on before she was allowed to touch the Orn again.
Jay sighed and dropped his hands, and nearly jumped out of his skin.
Devereux was standing about six feet in front of him, utterly relaxed, his hands in his pockets. Jay scrambled to his feet, even as his brain screamed at him that this was the one situation where Clark was right; if Devereux had wanted him dead, he would be.
combine
Jay POV
The stranger sauntered up to them, unhurried, and Jay clocked four cronies behind her shoulder, fanned out in something of a flanking formation. The woman didn’t need to worry about someone coming at her from behind, at least.
“Clark,” Cassidy said, just the slightest touch of scorn at the back of her voice; subtle enough that, when combined with the complete impassivity of her face, some people might think they’d imagined it.
The way Clark smirked suggested she wasn’t one of them.
“Care to introduce us?” she said, waving a hand vaguely in Jay’s direction.
Cassidy glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, then cleared her throat. “This is Jay Johns,” she said. “Old friend. Jay, Arabella Clark.”
Jay nodded once. Clark crossed her arms, shoulders straight and chin lifted as she gave him a once over.
“Alright, Jay Johns,” she said. “What’s your deal?”
Jay raised an eyebrow, couldn’t stop himself replying, “Obfuscation.”
tell
Flint POV
Where the hell are the guards?
“Is the door locked?” he said into Roth’s ear. The (proximity) of his voice made the other man cringe.
“Listen, Moran, just—just relax, alright?” he said, breathless and panicked. “Calm down. You’re not—you’re not gonna get anywhere, you really think Tectum cares enough about me to let you out? A hostage isn’t going to help you, but if you answer our questions…”
No way. He was stalling. Apparently they hadn’t bothered to have armed guards posted outside.
Flint jabbed the gun into Roth’s neck, fighting back a wave of nausea as he closed his left hand around his other shoulder, shoving him forwards. Roth resisted, leaning back against his hold, and Flint chuckled, quietly, dangerously.
“Tell me, Mister Roth,” Flint said, still right in his ear. “Have you ever been shot?”
number
Jay POV
The others paused at the mouth of the alley. Jay willed his face to remain impassive as he said, “How far do we need to go?”
Clark poked her head out, looking up and down the street. “It’s on this block. About a hundred metres down.”
Jay sucked in a slow breath, trying to quell his panic and get his brain to cooperate. They were hardly dressed to be traipsing around down the inner city streets, let alone with one of their number barely able to hold himself up.
“Walk of shame,” Fischer said.
Jay was glad he wasn’t the only one who gave her a baffled look. She smiled, the sort of smile Jay had never seen on her face, relaxed and confident and genuine. “It’s like midday, right? On a Saturday? So let’s pretend like we had a wild night last night. We’re walking home, still half-drunk.” She nodded towards Devereux. “Or, y’know, tried the ol’ hair of the dog and it didn’t take.”
sigh
INUNDATE (TJ POV)
TJ blew out a sigh and forced himself to look back down at his phone.
It was extraordinarily hard to concentrate. The projection didn’t take much out of him, especially when it was just like this, a steady, regular trickle, but he was unable to shake the awareness of Moran’s connection. Combined with the fact that this was the closest he’d ever been to the man apart from necessary restraints, and the nagging knowledge that he was fucking lucid, and TJ’s brain wouldn’t focus on anything for any decent period of time.
Then there was the whole Natasha issue, which he didn’t even want to think about, and which naturally meant kept popping into his brain every time he managed to shove down thoughts about Moran.
His nervousness gradually increased into anxiety and then borderline agitation, and TJ was just about to say something about needing to stop this sooner rather than later when Moran spoke.
“I have a proposal.”
TJ jerked his gaze over to him, eyes narrowed in suspicion. “No,” he said.
cold
INUNDATE (TJ POV)
Flint sat up, slowly, gaze never leaving TJ's face as he ran a hand through his hair. "TJ...?" he said, wary, cautious.
TJ held up a hand, the gesture sharp, violent. "Don't. "
He still couldn't figure out what was going on with the Orn. It was blazing, right beside him, close and bright enough to practically see, and that sharp foreign tang of rain on bitumen and the rush of a cool breeze turning waves into whitecaps on the ocean and the bitterness of something metallic was still in his nose or his mouth or his ears or his skin.
TJ shook his head sharply, trying to dislodge the foreign sensations, and vaguely registered Flint blink.
Then it was gone, the sensation but also the burning too-close brightness, and TJ finally figured out what had happened. He severed Flint's connection with a ferocity he didn't usually use, jerking his head up just in time to see Flint flinch.
"What," TJ said, clear and cold as glass, "The fuck. Was that?"

Fandoms I might one day write for that are not Witcher:
Disco Elysium: probably the only one on this list with compelling, complex, actually morally grey (or even black) female characters. I am inspired by Joyce and Klaasje, maybe shipped together, maybe not. Maybe I'll do what I really want to do and write a worldbuilding travelogue from the POV of the three mercenaries. But to feel ok, I'll have to read the book first.
Red Dead Redemption 2: maybe Dutch and Hosea before it all went to shit, maybe Sadie being a mercenary in the south.
Vagrus: deeply-felt fuckbuddies Kral Hestaera (dark elf army captain of an exiled regiment)/Prince Kareem (young merchant Prince making a name for himself) against a backdrop of protecting Tectum Carvos from the wyrms and trying to help their two disparate populations cohabit.
Master and Margarita: I just really like Woland, idk. I'd probably do it implicitly with the face of a more pop-culture property, but yeah.
Bonus Round: Silmarillion. I would need to reread the Silm (and by reread I mean reread small parts of it and read most of it for the first time) before I'm comfortable writing Tolkien fanfic, so I don't know if this one will ever happen. But if it does, joy to me, because the community is great!
