Hey! This post is very important about the blog and what is currently happening! Please read if you will! (Ps: this is a very long post)

Hello everyone! Not to long ago I made a post explaining some certain stuff that will be changing and other junk like that. I have come here to inform you all some bad news involving this blog. This blog will be going on a long hiatus, and I mean long. The main reason being that my connector for the cable I use for my drawing tablet has broken, which means that I can no longer draw on my laptop or drawing tablet anymore. During that time it certainly has made me realize lots of things that I do with this blog, and that includes some of the empty promises I make. I've come to the realization that I don't have the right skill for an askblog, atleast not yet anyway, and also considering I'm still in school, it has definitely taken a toll on my work. When I first started this blog, I thought it was gonna be a piece of cake! But I was dead wrong when I decided to put some story into it, I kept on procrastinating on the story and never actually added onto it which made me frustrated. And even when I wasn't working on it, the other asks that were in the askbox felt like a challenge! And that eventually evolved to me not posting for a long while. Even in the present that still is very obviously a challenge. I will like to apologize for not posting and making some empty promises, I very obviously don't have enough skill in the moment to run an askblog, so that's why this blog will be going on hiatus, and be restarting entirely. You heard that right, the art/answered asks will be deleted. The reason behind this is due to me wanting to start over, begin something new! And y’know, actually gain more skill before deciding to add a story (if that will ever happen). I know this is all very sudden, but I made the decision that I hope will be best for me! I honestly just want to get out of school before actually doing anything, cause BOY OH BOY IS SCHOOL ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! And the moment I finally have enough time and skill, I will consider finally coming back to this blog and all of you, I have a feeling none of you will remember me or even this blog, hell, I think some of you will begin to unfollow! But that's a-okay with me, its quite understandable really, people don't exactly follow blogs that don't post anything! I'm gonna come back, thats a fact, but it will be a long time until I finally post once more, I will be back eventually. I forgot to mention, all of the asks in the askbox will be deleted, I'm extremely sorry for this! Like I said, everything is restarting and I hope you understand!

Before I finally decide to head off, I just want to thank each and every one of you, I never had any idea that alot of people would even enjoy this blog! To all the people who followed, liked, and all that other junk, I thank you×1000, I probably would've given up way earlier if it wasn't for you guys!! YALL ARE AWESOME AND DESERVE ALL THE GOOD ENERGY!!!

February/March 2024 Update: Extended Hiatus

Hey guys!

So, ASD’s hiatus might be a bit longer than I expected…

You see, I think my life is starting to take a bit more of a different direction than it originally did, with the main reason is me considering making my first Visual Novel (which is based on a canon series that I know). So of course, it's going to require a lot of practice, watching tutorial videos, time, effort, and dedication. However, I am uncertain about the exact amount of time it will take. While I would like to believe that I can manage both a VN and ASD simultaneously, the truth is that it won't be easy. Therefore, I have decided to focus solely on my visual novel project as it would be more manageable for me.

I hate to make this decision, but as I’ve said countless times before (sorry 😅), the truth is that ASD is based on a story that has ended long ago. Although I don't want to let go of ASD yet, I want to focus on developing this new Visual Novel, in which I plan to work on alone also as an indie developer. This project may take a few months to a year, or even longer. Therefore, I must be honest and say that I don't know exactly when I'll be back (or if I am coming back). I want to come back, but it will take longer than one month. So, I'm technically going on an indefinite hiatus, but I hope to return to ASD in the future.

You are still allowed to send asks, but this blog might be inactive for quite a while, or at least the story itself will take a break. Maybe I’ll come back within time to post some EQG & ASD-related art from time to time. Now, do I recommend that you unfollow me? No, I don’t. I mean, I wouldn’t want you to. However, it wouldn’t be right to hold you here either 😅 So the choice is solely yours.

If your still looking for some Sonata Dusk askblog content, I recommend @sunsets-serenade. It’s the only MLP/EQG blog that I know it’s still active at this point. So all in all, the Ask Sonata Dusk story is on a semi-indefitnite hiatus, but it might post from time to time for art. I’ll let you guys know when I’ll return to continue the story!

experience in RP: it feels a little like i've been roleplaying my whole life! i actually started when i was 6 on minecraft creative servers and quotev, back when you could still do things like talk to other people on the site. it was mostly script-style until 20...12? i think? that was when i'd fully moved to quotev and was experimenting with longer para-style roleplays. then i moved to tumblr in 2014 to try my hand at some askblogs that crashed and burned, then i went to skype for a while, and my first proper para rp blog on tumblr came about in... oh, late 2017 or so? which is ... well, actually, that's 7 years, so it's the better part of a decade, but i guess i hadn't realized it had been that long.

best experiences: i had the most fun when the bungou stray dogs community was hitting somewhat of a peak in 2018. actually, i met most of my current roleplay friends there and picked up a parasitic little meow meow i went on to refurbish into an oc. everyone got along really well, especially before the hunting dogs were introduced. then, i'd also say i liked it when it was me and a few other people writing from baccano!. there was a span of time where we were all regularly active and wrote with eachother every single day, and even though it was a small fandom i didn't feel particularly alone. i wish i could replicate that feeling, haha.

pet peeves / dealbreakers: i'd say that i don't really like it when i follow someone and they only ever post about ships. i'm not particularly against them myself, but i've set out to make hakkai a relatively low romance muse who people will have to do some fairly extensive plotting to ship with. because of that, it tends to be a little restricting to me as a new follower when the only open memes or prompts are focused around romance. also, this goes without saying, but i tend to unfollow people who spend too much time preaching about morality in fiction and the rpc. there are plenty of topics i'm uncomfortable with seeing myself, but it's also not as black-and-white as a lot of people tend to act like it is when it comes to the portrayal of controversial characters. actually, part of hakkai's storyline in the earlier chapters of saiyuki deals heavily with this idea of morality applied to complex human beings. also, i don't like overly extensive formatting. hahaha.

muse preference (fluff, angst, smut): i don't have a particular preference. ideally i'd like to write all of them, though i'm disinclined to write much smut just because of the shipping situation on this blog and the fact that i don't know much about sex in general so i'm not confident my writing of it is really any good. i have a tendency towards complete plots and long-running dynamics that include every genre of writing that's possible between two or more characters.

plot or memes: this is kind of a hard one! i like to pre-establish some kind of skeleton of a plot, but after that sort of thing has been worked out, i enjoy the spontanaety of memes as a jumping off point for further plot and character development. i sort of operate on a mixture of both; i'll discuss a possibility, then start a thread or send a meme or two, then reconvene to see where that takes us with the plot. it's fun that way. 

long or short replies: well. long. i make some effort to curb the length of my replies when i can, but even speaking out of character like this i tend to talk on and on. even my shorter replies usually go beyond two paragraphs. hahaha.

best time to write: ... at work, really. i have an office job with a good amount of free time, so i tend to fill it by writing. i usually write my replies from the office and then draft them until later, when i can do things like add my icons, which i should really probably save to dropbox or some other form of cloud storage so i can just reply from there too. i'm at the office right now, by the way. i'll occasionally write outside of work too, but that's usually an activity reserved for afternoons or evenings, or if someone has just written something for me that i want to reply to. actually, i have a bad habit of replying to things right away. hahaha.

are you like your muse: only superficially. i talk a lot like hakkai does when it comes to "public appearances"—that is to say, i'm usually putting on airs with my tumblr posts. i'm a lot more relaxed and casual in private and with friends though, and he and i don't share a lot of traits beyond style of speech. i think hakkai is generally more actionable than i am, and he's better with kids, and he's generally a more focused and multi-talented person, and my one real talent (singing) is one of the only places where he struggles. obviously, hakkai has a very different moral code to me as well, and he likes cleaning and chores whereas i can't usually be bothered... i'm actually a lot more like his previous incarnation, tenpou gensui. there are muses of mine who i am a lot like (shen qingqiu - svsss, shirogane kei - log horizon) and muses of mine such as hakkai who i'm nothing like. i tend to project more on the muses closer to me, but i end up LIKING those who are very different a lot more.

Solace: I wouldn't call you a cinnamon roll by any means, Aster.

Céline: And I wouldn't say you look like one, either.

Aster: I'm just trying to lighten the mood a bit!

Marcus: Well, now that the mood is lightened, I'll describe what we're doing here. You see, Umbreon, Espeon, and Keldeo were fiddling around with some Magnagate stuff with the help of Hoopa, and by combining Entercards with a hoop portal, they were able to peek at a world without Pokemon. That's still the strangest thing to me. Even in the so-called human world, we still had Pokemon; they just weren't dominant like they are here.

Solace: The researchers...decided to establish communication with this...weird world, and since all four of us were once humans, we were volunteered to be the ones to communicate. I don't completely understand...this "tumblr" thing, but I think there's a way for you to ask us questions, and so we'll do our best to reply...and tell you about our world.

Céline: You can ask our friends questions too, if you want, but they probably won't be as active here as we are.

Aster: Now, I suppose we should introduce ourselves! The four of us are known to the Pokemon world as the Four Human Heroes, because we were all humans that were turned into Pokemon, and we all saved the world. I'm Aster, and I'm originally from the human world, specifically the Hoenn region, which is the best one. I'm also dead! Well, I died as a human, that is. Then my spirit became a Skitty, I met my partner, Charizard — well, he was Charmander then — and we got Rayquaza to blow up an incoming meteor that was causing all sorts of natural disasters. Not sure how a meteor can cause forest fires, but whatever.

Solace: I...am Solace, hailing from a future that didn't come. After an...accident — actually an attack — while crossing time, I was turned into a Cyndaquil. I joined Treecko, who's now called Sceptile, to form an exploration team, and together, we put the Time Gears into Temporal Tower...and stopped the planet's paralysis before it could begin.

Marcus: I'm Marcus! Unlike the other two, I can visit the human world whenever I want, and I can remember my past with perfect clarity. I'm from Unova, and I was selected by the Voice of Life to become an Axew, destroy the Bittercold, and save the Pokemon world. I couldn't have gotten this far without my partner, Dewott, and all my teammates back in Pokemon Paradise.

Céline: I'm Céline, and I lived in Kalos a long, long time ago. I was summoned to the Pokemon world to fight Dark Matter, but while Mew and I managed to destroy its physical form, we knew it would come back one day. In the present day, I came back as a young Chikorita, and Mew was reincarnated as my best friend Fennekin! This time, we managed to defeat Dark Matter for good — not by destroying it, but by accepting it. As of now, Fennekin and I are still working hard in the Expedition Society — much better than having to go to school!

Hi there! This is an rp/askblog for Kotoko Yuzuriha! By default, asks or roleplay are done in the perspective of trial 2 Kotoko. However, you can also specify which version of Kotoko you want to interact with!

The versions of Kotoko are as follows:

(📷) Pre-milgram Kotoko, post-murder, but before the incident of leaving Lucky behind. Lucky is still around with her

(🐺) Trial one Kotoko! Self-explainable, has knowledge of everything up until Es's first nap (so aware of everyones verdicts/behaviours up until then, but hasn't beat anyone up- and Es is still awake)

(⚖️) Trial two Kotoko, motherfucker supreme. Has knowledge of everything up until Es's second nap. Beat everyone up. You know what she's like. Currently not handling her guilty verdict very well.

Something important to note is that if you're talking to trial one/two Kotoko, the interactions are the voices she hears in milgram! How does this work with magic anon or giving Kotoko an item? Don't worry about it. (the exception to this is if youre, say, another rp blog! in which case shes just talking/interacting with you as an actual person.) (Pre-milgram Kotoko is just actually on tumblr.com)

Please remember that Kotoko's way of talking is usually blunt/abrasive, and can come across as rude or disinterested. This isnt either of us mods being angry at you we swear!! Kotoko's just. Like That. she is also...infamously hard to get information out of. Dont be afraid to start pressuring her in your asks or getting creative with it if she's not telling you something! However, be aware that Kotoko is pretty easily agitated/annoyed/impatient in scenarios such as those!

Lastly, while both mods try to stick pretty close to Kotoko's canon characterisation/lore, some stuff will be headcanon! This is mostly in relation to Lucky, prisoners Kotoko doesn't talk to/about often, anything about Kotoko's life that she hasn't told us about (SERIOUSLY, WHY DOESNT SHE EVER TELL US ANYTHING?), etc.

My Top 5 Favourite EQG/MLP Askblogs (in no particular order)

1). @ariasarchives (Indefinite Hiatus)

I know I said that I don’t have a particular favorite, but I think AA takes the cake to be honest. This blog centers around Aria Blaze and the other two Dazzlings. Here, it basically follows thier everyday lives since they are not evil anymore, thier struggles and relationships with other people, platonic and romantic. Not to mention that they have kids and their trees are explored thoughout the story. It takes place 7 years after the battle of the bands.

The creator has stated that he’s uncertain if he will continue with the series, but for what it’s worth, it was a great run 👍 

2). @sunsets-serenade (Still active)

What started off as a blog about Sunset and her everyday life is now a Sunata (Sunset x Sonata) themed story ^^ I’m a late follower to this blog, but from what I’ve seen from it so far, it’s a pretty interesting read. I’m neutral on the pair, but I’m also interested in the story. Unlike many EQG ask blogs these days, this one is still active, so that’s good in my opinion. And I hope to see more stories along the line. 

3). @dusk-oceanos (Indefinite Hiatus)

For what very little it was, it was an interesting read and I wish there was more. The story basically starts with Sonata and her life without the other two dazzlings. Then suddenly, Aria comes back into her life. From there, the story basically focuses on Sonata and Aria mending things and talking about their kids and their pasts.

Like AA, this series is also on a indefinite hiatus. I wish I’ve seen more before it ended, but again for what it’s worth it was a good series while lasted.

4). @scisetdiary (Story is on a indefinite hiatus, but still active for art sometimes)

A Sciset story, in which it follows Sci Twi and Sunset’s relationship, lives and thier struggles. It also follows the life of their daughter, Sapphire Sparkle. This story also crosses over with AA.

This series had a good run, but unfortunately the creator ended it due to losing interest. It does saddens me, because it didn’t have a proper conclusion, but I understand completely. I’m just happy that it lasted as long as it did.

5). @ask-twigset (Status Unknown, most likely indefinite hiatus)

A SciSet themed blog that wasn’t active for too long, but had a lot of promise and potential. It basically takes place in college, where the two start dating.

6). @ask-sunpie (Canceled)

A sunpie (sunset x pinkie pie) blog. From what I read,  it takes place a few weeks after Sunset’s Backstage Pass. Sunset and Pinkie are dating and basically the series planned to have a couple of stories along the way. Unfortunately though, it was canceled and the mod plans to delete the blog. For what it’s worth, the blog really was interesting and was looking forward to more. I’m grateful for what they did do though 👍

7). @honeycrisp-tales (Still Active, but very slow)

A fun little blog about Cadence and Big Mac’s daughter in the EQG world, Honeycrisp. She also has a group of friends who are related to some of EQG’s characters, including Adagio being like another mother figure to her. It’s a fun little read ^^

Recovering from having been at one point “Tumblr famous” is weird.

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t properly “Tumblr famous”. I wasn’t someone with generic enough appeal to garner enough followers for that. Didn’t really want to be either, I wasn’t trying to be. But I was undoubtedly famous in a niche. That niche being Wreck-it Ralph RP, of all things, back when the movie had only just come out and Tumblr was in its askblog/RP peak.

So, you know (which you might if you’ve been following me for long enough), I made a character! Made an askblog that over time became more of an RP blog. I got involved with other talented and popular RPers on the scene. By the time everything was said and over, I was just shy of 1,000 followers on my silly little niche fandom ask/RP blog.

I got fanart! Fanart from whole ass entire strangers. A lot of them weren’t even roleplayers themselves, they just followed along because they were invested in the story that was unfolding around my edgy little murder twink and the increasingly awful situations and people he surrounded himself with.

But, time wore on, and the fandom faded. Of course. But it was damn close to...7? 8 years? before the RP stopped. The fandom was dead but that just meant crossover was embraced and the fun kept on rolling for a good long time. But everything comes to an end, and between Tumblr shitting the bed by banning NSFW (which gutted pretty much every RP community, not overnight but sure close to it) and the natural inevitability of interests diverging, it basically ended and everyone moved on.

But having that kind of an audience for that long is one hell of a terrifying high, and the crash afterwards is humbling at best and absolutely damaging at worst. Somewhere along the line I realized that I stopped knowing how to create purely for myself and my own enjoyment. I told myself that was what I was doing from the outset (and it was true in the sense that I didn’t axe parts of the story to please people who didn’t like the shit I did), but the sting I felt from getting fewer and fewer and fewer notes as outside interest waned long before inside interest did still hurt.

It made me feel gross and egotistical, which didn’t help. I spent a long time beating myself up about it. Which, you know, also didn’t help.

I dunno. This is all some self-pitying bullshit and reading it back is making me cringe, but fuck it. Maybe this’ll help someone somewhere who’s going through anything even remotely similar. Being shocked with an audience you never expected, getting used to it, and then losing it has a way of making you wonder why the hell you bother to pick up a pen. I think that’s normal. I’ve heard similar stories. Seen them unfold, too. It happens a lot. My story isn’t special in that sense.

I still don’t have my muse back. Not quite. The past while has been a whole lot of me doing my best to retrain myself to create for myself before anyone else. Unrelated, real-life stress is making it slow going, but it’s still going and that’s what’s important. I’ve done small scribbles and sketches, all for myself, and it feels good to do that again. I’m just going to keep on doing that. Sooner or later, I’ll be back where I was before I accidentally caught that lightning in a bottle. //So now the Void Juice Plotline has finally concluded I have quite a bit to say about it.

//Firstly, this was NOT planned. When I wrote Shadow of a Tiger, I hinted at Sawa having been infected with Void Juice and Kyoji being affected before Koroko pulled him out but my original intention was for it to be just that and I focus on the Christmas stuff. It was meant to be plot points that I come back to later.

//So what happened? Well...I completely forgot to have anyone visit Nikei in the Medical Bay and when people asked, I gave a answer that there was a fake doctor sending people away, but I had no idea who this was gonna be. My image limit ran out before I could give a answer so I was left the rest of the day to think about and then I thought "I know, how about I have the Void Juice be responsible for this?" And you know how things went from there.

//Now overall I'm quite pleased with the writing as I think I was able to balance the horror element of Void Juice with some good character moments, as well as while Aliza and the Voids were the "main characters" in this section others had their moments to shine as well, like having Taka and Mondo be able to fuse into Kiyondo, something I'm sure a lot of you have forgotten about.

//I managed to introduce the basic elements of Void Juice and make it clear how much of a threat this is, especially with the second monster spawning having ways to counter light. Something I read a while ago mentioned that the problem with horror monster sequels is typically in the first film/book, the weakness of the monster is discovered and that is used to kill them, so what's stopping the characters using the same weakness in the sequel? Either they are morons or the weakness is still there and it really diminishes the horror element. As such a way to keep the audience on their toes is to evolve your monsters so they remain a threat. And the fact Void Juice Monsters can adapt to what went wrong the first time pulled this off very well.

//It does a very good job exploring the overall lore and story within the sketches, but I have one major criticism of this plotline and its one I'm some of you are very aware of; Timing.

//Put simply this plotline should have been done at any other point then Christmas and the results show with me being into January and the tree is not even set up, the Void Juice Plotline had hijacked the narrative entirely and made people forget this was supposed to be a Christmas Arc.

//This is very likely a rookie mistake since this is my literal first time doing a askblog type thing so I wasn't anticipating how much this would sprial out of control. But in future, if another side plot occurs within a sketch/arc, I will try to keep more tabs on it and prevent it from getting out of control.

//Not like the Void Juice Plotline was terrible or anything, as I think people did enjoy it, but it just came at a very bad time.

🌟 BASTION (2011) | 10/10 4 million stars

THE game of all time. i think i bought and played this when the indie humble bundle (one of the first of its kind) slapped it together with limbo, psychonauts, amnesia and sword and sorcery (i have the art jen zee drew to advertise that on my wall still).

remarkable then and now for being a game i replayed like a madman and loved soooooo muuuuuuuuuch its ridiculous. the art direction will always be very impactful on me i think, jen zee i love ur stuff 4ever <3333333 the music is also still incredible, spike in a rail is iconic as ever, and logan cunningham's voice will always hit perfectly on the ears as rucks. this game was also the first major fandom i was in on this site and it could fit inside one tinychat lol, i have retained alot of the friendships i made from it back then, its an experience i can never untie from the actual game.

ive always liked isometric smash and whack games, most likely due to this games influence on me, but it was also just... one of the first big games i loved as a budding tween, so almost everything about i think with fondess, im recalling how the upgrade areas looked like rn and its making me smile. i made an askblog about a character from this game, we made a physical fanbook that got handed to devs at a con (i think the vid of them reacting to it is now lost to time) its deep bro its deep in my bones.

bastion's story i still also enjoy as dour as it is, and the choice at the end, between continuing the cycle of apocalyptic doom or build a new future with the remains, its still interesting to me. relive the past before it goes wrong and experience the fresh pain over and over or move on with grave of genocide ringing in your ears and the cunt of an old man on the same floating rock with you. augh!

🌟 TRANSISTOR (2014) | 6/10 stars it is a game and i think that's great

played this game front to back full the day it came out on my mothers computer and cried like a bitch at the end while liveblogging it. to this day i remember the combat being too much for my stupid little brain to comprehend and would get my ass beat constantly but the jen zee art and sword boyfriend and my loyalty to SG kept the brain alive.

MAYBE it would less of a pain in the ass for me to play now but the plotting out before you enforce the combo hurt my brain. i dont think ahead okay. ow. ow.

As with all SG games the art was incredible though they drew from really interesting influences for a sci fi take, and this ost with the addition of a bunch more vocal tracks (due to red being a singer) is sooo good. i have a version of the album of the glitched out versions of the songs ripped from the gameplay, delicious nyam nyam.

i liked pyre like 10 steps more than transistor its not even funny 😂 the world has a more fantasy leaning bent... the ensemble cast too.... and the gameplay i love this gameplay i will play ghost spirit basketball all fucking dayyyyyyyyyy also this is alot closer to a visnov than the rest of their games, between the sports parts, this is also probably why i really like it, who doesn't love it when their choices matter and little guys talk to them. visnovs are great.

i have played this game for 250+ hours and 100 of those were during the entire time it was in early access the brain disease real alive and killing me to this day.

genius of SG i think to stretch their storytelling out to be way longer by putting into a rougelike its such a fun idea and it works so well bc of how finely tuned their gameplay always is. they incentivize the right things and the feel is addictive, you wanna get to the characters bc they're always the best part but the gameplay on the way is like butter, ENDLESS GRIND ENDLESS GRIND. GAME YOU PLAY UNTIL YOU DIE

i like that this story ended up being a dumb greek family drama, i dont have many more thoughts about that aspect though honestly bc i dont really care about greek gods as a setting and i always enjoy SG's original ideas and worlds alot more behehe. their remixes are no doubt fun though.

there's something to be said about the violent catharsis of being killed over and over to leave family i think, im sure i could write some metaphor here about having to confront hatred in loved ones over a choice about yourself actually just feels like dying over and over (im a poet) especially when you still live with them.

i think i actually for real cried the first time zag met his mother like the music and the va, it was all so tragic and sad, i dont think anything else really met that emotional high for me. i was almost surprised later on how happily the game resolves lol but i dont have any qualms with stories about fucked up families actually fixing their problems, hope for the future or something.. ! not all blood ties have to be burned to cinders, its a nice thing.

i'm writing this at 1AM because i'm crazy . i should be working on the next ask but uuuggghhh . getting myself to work on these has been getting more and more diffficult recently ! i don't even know why . part of me sees this whole thing as a chore now . but it's not that i don't enjoy working on these ! i love creating nice and pretty art for this fandom . someetimes i do get a bit insecure of my answers being out of character but I'M TRYING MY BEST OKAY !!!!!!!

i spent a while just making art for myself before doing these . i've spent so much time forcing myself to color stuff that now i don't even doodle that much anymore ! sometimes i'll be like " oh i want to draw this thing " but then think something like " nnnn but i also ! need to color it ! " so well , these days i allowed ( ? ) myself to do some quick doodles again . even if they don't look great , they were still so pretty fun to do !

ADDING FRECKLES WAS ENOUGH !!

FLAT COLOR TIME ! setting flat colors down always takes me so long because i refuse to use any tool to make it easier lol

THIRD SHADING LAYER ? i just grab the same color i use for the blush , set my layer on multiply and shade just half of the face with a nice and soft brush . like how it looks .

i also just love the fake language they came up with for people talking, reading being a big deal here also.... so much about this games worldbuilding i loved it i loved it. i think my only issues would be the amount of forced het in the endings people can get lmao I DONT NEED EVERYONE TO GET HAPPILY STRAIGHT MARRIED SG LMFAO.

i have played this game for 250+ hours and 100 of those were during the entire time it was in early access the brain disease real alive and killing me to this day.

genius of SG i think to stretch their storytelling out to be way longer by putting into a rougelike its such a fun idea and it works so well bc of how finely tuned their gameplay always is. they incentivize the right things and the feel is addictive, you wanna get to the characters bc they're always the best part but the gameplay on the way is like butter, ENDLESS GRIND ENDLESS GRIND. i like that this story ended up being a dumb greek family drama, i dont have many more thoughts about that aspect though honestly bc i dont really care about greek gods as a setting and i always enjoy SG's original ideas and worlds alot more behehe. their remixes are no doubt fun though.

there's something to be said about the violent catharsis of being killed over and over to leave family i think, im sure i could write some metaphor here about having to confront hatred in loved ones over a choice about yourself actually just feels like dying over and over (im a poet) especially when you still live with them.

i think i actually for real cried the first time zag met his mother like the music and the va, it was all so tragic and sad, i dont think anything else really met that emotional high for me. i was almost surprised later on how happily the game resolves lol but i dont have any qualms with stories about fucked up families actually fixing their problems, hope for the future or something.. ! not all blood ties have to be burned to cinders, its a nice thing.

-anyway uh. hi hello, mun Vo here to make my semiannual return to announce my deadness here, and I'm finally just gonna say that this blog is on indefinite hiatus. i do plan to try and come back to this blog on occasion but for now, i have not had the time or energy to run an askblog

-i won't go into too many details but here's an abridged explanation, and a little thank you to you all at the end:

-long story short, let's just say that my mental health has once again taken a toll for the worse, and i simply just haven't had a lot of energy or motivation for. really anything anymore. also college has been severely kicking my skull in but I'm on winter break so I'm gonna try and catch up on sleep as much as i can. and I'm also in the midst of some ah.. shaky personal life stuff like family drama and friendship related stuff. so uh, that doesn't help.

-also I've had a lot of art block so that's not helping either HDHDBXJJ further saying that i have no motivation

-miraculously I'm not dead though, I'm very much still here, just not all that here, if you know what i mean.. I'm trying my best but I'm still just.. tired, y'know?

(Good gawd I'm sorry this became a way longer reply than I thought it would be since I ended up rambling a lot (typical of me!) I'm so sorry 😭 if you're gonna read this post you're probably gonna be tortured so fair warning in advance before you delve into my little rant)

Hopefully LOL- I'm new to Tumblr as I said so I'm just figuring out some things- it honestly is a little hard for me because well- the reason me and my best friend came together is because of Once-ler so he means even more to me. Its just a little sad that I see them go since we had a lot of memories together about him I've just accepted it for now but it's getting sort of lonely being so in love with a character and nobody is really there to understand that if ykyk. Maybe I'm just being sad because I haven't even talked to anyone for months on end and it's starting to drive me crazy lols.

Okay I had to draft this so many times because I was reading your links to the posts while trying to remember everything JSJSJ but yes I have thought or assumed that the fandom has changed a lot over the years so much- And hey I love dedicated people! Idk why but seeing people leave (me) so often without mostly limp reasons it always made it hard for me to make friends easily so to lose THOSE friends too...yeah. A bit of a twist to the knife but I've grown to accept it even if I valued them so much. Which is why i love onceler. His whole story in the movie was him being abandoned completely at the end? Honestly maybe that's why people loved him when he first came out since they probably related to the stinging pain of abandonment and how it's portrayed so quickly that it almost symbolises how friendships, success, anything that makes you feel great pass ever so quickly...haha I'm going on a tangent here sorry (that's what I get for studying English literature!). But yep another reason why I love him so much is because hey! He MAY be a fictional character and he MAY not be real (ugh that breaks my heart everytime realising that) but that means he cant exactly leave you right? What drawn me to the onceler fandom is that people make different versions and ocs of him and honestly? I loved that. Seeing everyone's comfort oc of onceler made me want to do the same. So, already being a huge lover of music as well as onceler being one of my biggest fandoms ever, I decided to make music for him. Regarding the fact that people may not be comfortable with what people do with their onceler ocs...hm. I'm a bit scared if Ive done something that may be offensive since I looked into many askblogs, active currently or not and they always gave me inspiration so I made songs about them. God I loved the truffula flu so much that I made a whole handful of songs about it (for each character like Swag, Rocky, entre, 72 etc etc). My boyfriend who is in the onceler fandom and is also recovering from a few things that happened recently helped me with the guitars (we HAD to include it as the main instrument - it is onceler themed songs after all!). If this is offensive though dont worry, we didn't really share out the songs to anyone or made it public it was just a fun thing we did together in our studio. But we will stop if it is. We made our own onceler rockstar au called "Thneed! Look Sharp!" (heavily inspired off Roxettes 1988 album "Roxette! Look Sharp!" since we were big pop rock fans as well. We made songs for it as well and I even wanted to create an askblog of it but I'm conflicted because yes, my fear is that something so precious and private I've made myself with someone close...I'm scared it'll get ruined by people who unintentionally make stuff about it that I'm uncomfortable of.

And yes I understand that the fandom has changed a lot throughout, and it has died and come back during the years throughout (I even made a song circling about this thought - "Come Back Before You Leave"). For me, I found it a bit hard when the fandom started going since well, I found something new, SOMEONE new. The Onceler. He was so much more than just a fictional character, he was almost like a real person to me from how attached I am to him. If I never discovered him I would've never discovered my best friend, a type friend I haven't ever had in a long long time. And that's a big thing for me. That's what makes him so special, he gave me someone that I never thought I could ever have. I love them so much. But ever since they seemed to have left the fandom things have been a bit hard to the point we don't even talk for a month despite me wanting to talk to them. Ever since my boyfriend (who is aka their best friend) had a few unfortunate things happen and it's gotten harder...i haven't heard much of them at all despite me thinking I could rely on them since that's what they promised. It really makes me feel the way how onceler probably had felt when his family abandoned him and lord it hurts. So here I am, clinging on to him still because well unfortunately hes becoming my only source of comfort left. I'm holding on to him just hoping something good will come out, that's why I'm here on Tumblr. Its all a bit depressing really so I'll stop talking now lol. Onceler is also very special for me for many other reasons (a few mentioned earlier as well) and regarding the fact that yes the fandom I'm sure has changed especially on age varietys. The people I knew were in the fandom personally were all teenagers (like me) so I made friends with many of them quickly. When I made a tumblr account and looked at the askblogs from 2012 the authors seemed to be all in their 20s. It was interesting, all the onceler ocs were taken very seriously and the art! I loved it all. Honestly actually when I first started the fandom the first person I new related to it you since yours was one of the most prominent (and so beautifully stunning ofc!) I loved your Audrey ocs and it's what made me get Tumblr myself. You were always cool af from the start and even more so when I realised you were still in the fandom. Really admire that dedication, seriously. Even so, yes I agree. I suppose I'm just bitter from how hard things have been personally but I know i can't force people to stay. Still it's nice seeing people happy, it makes me happy too so I'll let them be. I just hope everyone who has drawn distant from me in the short period of time is okay, including my best friend....

Hey, this might be a long one (though I'm new to Tumblr so idk how this even works tbh) but I got into the onceler a year ago? I'm still morbidly in love with this guy and ngl maybe I'm just here because I'm feeling sad that all my friends have left him already and moved on- still I knew that you were in the onceler fandom since the start and honestly i admired you a lot for that for staying with him for so long jsjjs- I wanted to ask since the fandom comes and goes every so often, how was it like in 2012/2013? Everyone has told me that now is really tame compared to how wild the fandom was when the movie came out and hearing about it I really wish I was there to witness it (i mean I could've but I was only little kid lol). Another question though how do you feel about the onceler fandom being revived then dying a few months later? Ngl it makes me feel pretty sad for onceler for some reason lol it just makes me think about him rising up to fame and success then falling back being alone again and the cycle continues. Hello! Aw it's always bittersweet when a friend loses interest in a thing you were both into but sadly it's part of life :,) As long as there were no hard feelings then you can cherish the memories you made together.

^And related to that last link, this is one of the reasons that the fandom seems to "die" every so often I guess? People get inspired and make onceler ocs and then they eventually get deoncelerized and used in other projects, and I don't think that's a bad thing at all. The Once-ler is a fictional character from a book/movie so I don't feel bad for him, it's the real people that are/were in the fandom who matter more and it's really cool and heartwarming to see people have fun and make friendships that last beyond their time in the fandom. So all in all I think it's okay as long as our friends are happy. We can't force someone to like something.

All that said though, I think our perceptions are a bit different currently because I feel like the fandom has been booming for the past year? 😂 Idk it seems really active to me at the moment!

Ok I made a au based on Paul's video's (Shed 17 & Project G-1) were everyone was cured from being biofused and are now humans with the scars from there engine form,This contains spoilers for Paulvids videos and this has extra things that doesn't appear in the videos 👌

Thomas

has stitches all over his body from him being the first to be cured and the fact that he was turned human...ish in project G-1,His one eye is red from him loseing control and attacking Keith and he has basically two personailtys now,His normal personailtys he had when he was a actual human and his savage anger side he showed near the end of that video,Also Thomas has a huge scar on his back from his biofused form in Shed 17 and his scream when in his savage side will be high and load like in shed 17•

Edward & James (there together cause there engines forms were burned together)

They both have burn marks all over there body's from how they were destroyed in here biofused form,James has more scars on his face(Cause his face did melt some in the video) while Edward has some scars on his throat from his whistle broke in shed 17(that people thought he died from),James personality changed some from his normal personality to a more serious,grumpy medium headed one cause he is extremely upset of the fact that him and Edward were basically lied to and we're used for testing•

Henry

He has scars on his back and sides from his crash in shed 17 and has scar marks all over his neck and his lower face from when he was scrapped in shed 17,He is very agressive when someone mentions Sir Topham Hat and can accidentally hurt others around him,Henry personality changed a lot cause he is no longer a shy, soft kind guy but now he is a rough,mean, agressive and a emotionally wreck•

Gordon

Gordon took a long time to be cured due to his body being used to make Project G-1,He has scars around his stomach from his biofused form being crushed from the inside,blurry vision from his eyes getting destroyed and a massive scar on his side from getting hurt by the boulder in his Project G-1 form,He acts similar to normal Gordan but has emotionally break downs and has trouble seeing from his blurry vision•

Marvis

She has burn marks around her mouth from her engine burning in shed 17 and sometimes need eye drops for her eyes,She didn't change much and didn't know what happened to the others cause her biofused body burned up first•

Percy

Percy has scars around his neck and needs to wear a cast around it so his neck doesn't fall to the side,His vision is slightly blurry from his eyes rolling back and when his neck is turned his speech gets muffled.

Percy still is a sweetheart and is very young compare to the other biofused engines (that are now humans again) and hasn't changed much•

Spencer

Like Marvis he has burn marks around his mouth and face from his body being set on fire in project G-1,He didn't change much and still has a small rivalry with Gordon and Scottman man but not as much as in the show•

Duck(Chris is his name in the videos) and Oliver

Duck and Oliver still have mechanical parts to them like wires and robotic arms and scars on there body from fighting in Project G-1,Oliver is nearly blind and needs glasses or contacts desperately due to his vision almost being gone

Duck(Or Chris) feels horrible for hurting his best friend and cry's over it when alone,Oliver forgives Duck,tries to comfort him when he cry's and tells him over and over again that he forgives him and isn't mad•

Harold

He has scars on his back from his wings and is so scared of falling again he started getting a phobia of heights,He did get some burn marks on his body from exploding in shed 17, Honestly he didn't change much•

Donald & Douglas

Nobody knows what happened to Donald..Not even Douglas and Donald covers himself in bandages to cover his scars so we really don't know what happened to him,Meanwhile Douglas skin is very soft and his mouth can extend longer than usual,Douglas's lips also can get stuck together but he can open his mouth full easily,Donald is often quiet and doesn't like showing his scars to anyone cause he doesn't want them to worry and ask him what happened.

Douglas has to eat softer food due to his mouth(He can eat hard food but it takes time) and Donald can only eat in private cause he has to take off the his bandage in order to eat•

Annie and Clarabel

They share the same burn marks from there biofused forms and the fact that one of them is a clone of the other(They lost there connection when they were cured),They act the same as before but they do have flinch when one of them gets hurt thinking that they are still connected.

Diesel(Kevin)

He has some scars around his chest and neck from his sacrifice in Project G-1 and gets some panic attack when stressed,He is very salty when it comes to Sir Topham Hat and is very agressive but he got his wife to calm him down (He is married to Annie in Project G-1 if you didn't know),He is get protective over every cured or being cured biofused and is willing to hurt himself protecting everyone•

Smuger

Smuger can stand upright without losing balance cause of him never moving from one space for years and has a massive scar on his stomach from Project G-1,Smuger is quiet and Is to nervous to ask for help and feels like he is responsible for everybody's pain when he isn't,He also has serious panic attack's randomly when reminded of what happened to him and became very claustrophobic from being trapped in one area for so long•

Cranky

He was one of the most hardest one to obtain the most dna to cure him,He has burn scars allover him from his fall in Project G-1 also having scars around his arm representing his crain breaking also in Project G-1,He has some panic attack's and feels guilty for Smugers Injury's and wants to say sorry but is afraid of bringing Smuger a panic attack(He is the only biofused who knows about Smuger and how he got his scars and panic attacks)•

G-1

G-1 was used to cure everyone and was given a life of it's own afterwards,They act like a bit cat or a big dog(They also have some human intelligence) and are very gentile when you are gentile to them,When experimenting on them they used dolphin training tricks to test there human like behavior side and when they used two pieces of paper with a picture of a gender it picked female so they use She/Her/They pronouns and are able to reproduce offspring without a mate(since they are like a animal and not a human..Idk what I'm doing with this thing XD)•

Diesel 10

Diesel 10 is still in his biofused form and is going around sodor keeping anyone that is trying to take or kill the others out and is willing to attack them if they are not careful,His eyes turn black with red pupils when angered and is very agressive when it comes to protecting anyone but he does have a soft side and is willing to show it when he wants to•

Sir toppem hat

One of the main antagonist of this au and plays a important part of this au I can't spoil just yet cause I might make a comic of this au

Keth

He is the only normal human being that was cured after being killed by Thomas and is now a half Human half cured,He has scars around his lower half and has to have a crutch now,Even after that he still cares for Thomas and the other engines and enjoys visiting them and helping them with there problems,He really hates sir toppem hat but feels like he needs to hold back on his anger cause he doesn't want to end up as some like him,He is also a father figure to Raven,Cassy and Evan(Mostly Raven) and is willing to keep them safe from harm and danger•

She is the main person in this au and the one who gave the idea to cure the engines than to kill them off,She was a young girl who loved seeing the engines but was trapped on Sodor when she was left behind by her neglectful caretaker (she was a orphan who never meet her parents and was raised in a orphanage) and was found by Keth and was taken cared for,Years later when she turned 16 she helped with the cure and was reunited with Keth.

Cassy

She was one of the Biofused engines that didn't get destroyed and doesn't have any physical scars on her,She helped with the cure and was willing to have them use some of her body for the cure,She reunited with her twin brother and loves takeing care of the other engines when in need•

Evan

Evan was used and experimented on with how the engines can't stand sugar and another if he could stand falling from a high drop,The first experiment was putting sugar in is fire box which cause him to keep throwing up randomly for a hour and the second experiment he was pushed off a high rock surface and was badly broken and exploded shortly after.

After he was cured he was given scars around his back and side and some patches of burn marks on his body and he hates sugar now cause of that one experiment,He takes care of the other engines and is good friends with James,Edward,Gordan and Percy.

Now some small facts about my au

The cured biofused have the scars of when they were engines and how they were destroyed or killed and they have memory's of when it happened and most of them either try to forget it or ignore it and keep moving on

There heights are a little taller than normal humans and they have louder screams and whistles

Sodor has been fixed and is a sanctuary for the cured engines and is home for some humans that are helping them/takeing care of them

The humans that were killed by Project G-1 or another engine were also cured and have there own medical bay separate from the cured biofused

The stuff to make biofused engine are still there but noone knows we're it is like somebody or something took it

The cured biofused are almost impossible to kill and have massive healing cells from the cure

They are much stronger than normal humans cause of here biofused body's but can control it so they don't hurt others
