i applied to do a masters months ago and the only thing they have sent me is an acknowledgement that the process will take longer than usual, which, now that it is mid-july and getting in requires me moving cities and finding another job by the end of september, is starting to get increasingly annoying to the point where i'm now pretty angry about it. i can't make any plans at all until i know, i can't really apply for jobs in my own city until i know, i'm going to have to start looking for places and jobs in this new city before i even know what kind of jobs i want and places i can afford or if i'm even going to be moving at all. absolute fucking joke honestly

Jungkook has come to learn that you know very well how to get under his skin by now.

And you also, not just on occasion, make it a fun game for yourself to see how much you can annoy him before he snaps. Maybe because he's been pretty lenient with you compared to how he would normally like to go at it. He can't really do much about it either- his wolfblood constantly telling him to put you back into your proper place in the pack.

Jungkook doesn't have many canine hybrids as friends, except maybe Yoongi. But since he's bonded to his own partner, Jungkook doesn't really feel any sort of need to care for him like he does with you- though he's not too sure why he's starting to get so attached to you either.

You're just friends- and even that would technically be a stretch to say. He doesn't know you, and you don't know him either.

But he can't deny the fact that he really.. enjoys this game of push and pull you two constantly seem to engage in, every bark sent into your direction only momentarily causing you to follow his word. Maybe you're instinctively able to really figure out if he's being genuinely angry or upset at you, or if he leaves room for you to try and test him on his threats, because otherwise, he'd not be too sure as to why you're just so good at walking that line with him.

And sometimes he has to admit, his fingers are itching.

Just like today, where you're just constantly annoying him by either repeating his words for no reason, or by making his job absolutely impossible. Though, taking care of you at your apartment and making sure you're getting the hang of normal everyday life-tasks wasn't really in his job description, to be fair. He's not even getting paid extra for this.

Why is he doing this again?

He's not sure, but he also can't really think about it for much longer, because right now, you've overstepped the line. There's no way you don't know what you're doing, and no one can blame him for physically acting on this, because how dare you.

You just bit him.

And he's reacting accordingly, at least if someone was to ask his instincts in that moment, a hand on the back of your neck pressing you down into your couch, while you growl to yourself. And the second he realizes what he's doing, he wants to apologize-

when he notices your tail wagging. Even this right now, is still a fucking game to you.

"Don't tell me you're pissed just cause I nipped your arm there." You laugh, probably sensing that he's not serious yet. "Boo-hoo. Now lemme go, I wanna watch TV-" You start to struggle, successfully slipping out of his grip- but he's not done yet.

He can't let this stand.

So just as you're ready to slip off the couch, he grabs you by your waist, just to pull you back, his body entirely covering yours, keeping you in place while he bites your neck.

Scruffs you, like the spoiled, unmannered pup you are.

And the reaction is almost instantaneous- compared to how on other occasions you've simply accepted and reluctantly agreed to his scolding, right now, you're fully submitting, tail between your legs underneath him, a soft whine coming from you. And it's now that he realizes, he's never had the upper hand over you, never had you under control at all.

You've always simply let him win.

Once he lets go of you, ready to apologize for acting so harshly, you instead crawl onto his lap, clinging to him, quietly. Visibly in need for his comfort again, desperate to get back on his good side.

Oddly how he remembers himself acting when he was younger, and scolded by his own parents.

Suddenly, you're not all that bold anymore, not even apologizing, simply leaning into him, rubbing your cheek against his clothes whenever he stops holding you. It all happened so quickly that he doesn't even process it that much right now, but all he knows is that whatever happened definitely got the message across for you.

"I'll never bite again.." You mumble into his shoulder, hiding away from him, and he laughs, running a hand up and down your back.

"No, it's fine. It just caught me off guard." He explains himself. "I'm a wolfdog mix, so I apologize I reacted like that. I couldn't really help it." He offers you, and you nod.

"No, I was being mean." You defend him. "Can I continue cuddling you? Or do you want to leave?" You ask, giving him the genuine option to go- and he knows, he probably should.

But instead, he shakes his head, and sits a bit more comfortably.

it started with people claiming that louis “got the ick” around armand in ep 11.  we know that louis didn’t consider armand his companion after 1.5 years of seeing each other.  but while I agree that louis is apprehensive about armand, i don’t agree that it’s because he’s not attracted to armand.  if anything, i think the sex is the least of their problems, and i think louis’s apprehension comes instead from his suspicion that armand’s feelings for him aren’t genuine.

louis obviously likes spending time with armand and having sex with him, as shown by them continuing to see each other and have sex after louis claims they’re not companions. no, we don’t see the sex act, but just like in season 1, you can infer the existence of a sexual relationship without seeing it.  Like, how do you think they ended up in bed in only their underwear? 

and contrary to popular belief, they'd finished having sex before dreamstat appeared.  dreamstat shows up when armand presses the issue of louis not calling their relationship a companionship (note that louis’s more comfortable with “affair” and “romance” – words that imply attraction, just not commitment). 

we see dreamstat’s shadow before he fully materializes:

between that shadow and his first words, we learn that louis has talked to armand about grace, but not that much about florence – enough that armand should know that grace is not louis’s mother. that armand’s first impulse was to just name the only female relative louis’s talked about, then blame louis for him getting the answer wrong instead of just admitting he didn’t know – well, that’s not making louis confident that armand cares about him enough to deepen the relationship.   

when louis tries to reassure armand that he likes their relationship now, armand again gets annoyed that it’s not a “companionship,” so dreamstat finally says, “oh god, how do you manage it?”  it’s armand’s domineering personality that puts louis on guard. 

i’m pretty sure louis is not wishing he was with lestat.  in fact, thinking of lestat makes him angry, reminds him of a relationship dynamic he does not want. 

so instead, he decides to commit to armand more - he agrees to come to more coven events. it doesn't get much clearer than that:

when dreamstat laughs and mocks “i love you,” he’s not talking about louis saying it to armand.  when louis tells armand 'i love you,' dreamstat almost looks offended because we know louis did not say it to lestat in real life. 

but when armand says it back, dreamstat laughs.  louis confronts dreamstat after armand leaves, then dreamstat mockingly repeats armand’s “I love you.” 

in all iterations, dreamstat does not believe in louis and armand’s relationship, but not because louis lacks feelings for armand.  i believe dreamstat is mocking armand’s feelings because louis is still uncertain about armand’s feelings for him.

to me, this scene doesn't prove louis never loved armand, it shows that louis didn't think armand loved him.

JJ didn't like Kooks, he couldn't stand them, Kie wasn't a kook, she'd never be one in his eyes and whilst everyone else seemed to warm up to Sarah JJ kept his distance. A Cameron with a pogue was wrong, his best friend had somehow gotten the Kook princess and he couldn't wrap his head around how quickly he turned on the pogues to defend her. Then another came, one who he genuinely didn't want to see, Y/n. Each smile she sent his way made his body heat up and the urge to smile back was sickening to him. Offering him a drink or asking how he was, he would only grunt or hum before walking away leaving Y/n confused but she'd been told he didn't trust easily so she didn't think much of it. Then instead of asking she would just hand him a drink, or give him something else which he'd looked at but didn't have the cash, she'd also buy everyone else a drink or food but to him it felt like she was trying to buy him. Somehow she always helped them, JJ found it suspicious, everyone else thought she was just a nice person but JJ was usually right about people. So when he kept reminding John B not to trust her, or telling Pope he had a bad feeling the pogues all decided the best course of action was the same they'd used on Ki and Sarah. But how to get them both somewhere they couldn't escape? 

Now Y/n stood in the chateau, humming away as she made pancakes since Sarah had asked her to come over and bake with her but Sarah had been gone for a good 10 minutes now.

"John B? You in here?" JJ shouted as he threw his bag down, looking around as he walked into the kitchen, Y/n giving him a small smile and wave as he ignored her as usual which made her sigh. It took him another few minutes to realise it was just them, scowling as Y/n plated up the pancakes and added some syrup before placing them on the table. 

"Where is everyone?" Y/n looked up at JJ, looking around before shrugging, pushing a plate towards him.

"Do you want any fruit?" JJ ignored Y/n, moving to leave when he found the door locked, Y/n trying to phone Ki to see where everyone had gone as JJ began rushing around trying to get out but every exit was locked. 

"What the hell?" JJ shouted as he tried to kick down the door, Y/n's eyes widening as she rushed over to try to calm him down.

"Hey, hey. Chill man, it's just a door jeez." JJ turned to face her, pushing her back lightly until he could stand over her as she pressed her body against the door.

"Why the hell are we locked in L/N?" Y/n'e eyes widened as she moved her hand to try the lock, scowling as she finally turned her face away from him to aggressively try to open the door, looking back at him with a shrug.

"I don't know, i just came here to make pancakes alright? You don't always have to be on my dick Maybank." Y/n pushed him back, gently so he didn't feel threatened and went to walk past him but JJ was quicker, grabbing her arm and pushing her back against the door.

"What does that mean?" JJ glared at Y/n as she rolled her eyes, going to push him away harsher this time but he grabbed her wrists and pressed himself against her.

"It means you're always starting a fight with me, like now, for no damn reason JJ. I haven't done shit to you so let me go and stop with this bullshit." Y/n was now getting angry, she put up with a lot from JJ, the small comments, the undermining and ignoring but she wasn't going to be pushed around because he threw his toys out the pram. 

"You're so annoying you know that right? You come in, push your way into the group, get everyone jobs with you and rub it in our faces how much money you have." JJ ranted, Y/n having enough as she finally pushed him back, her hands on his shirt as she pushed him against the door mimicking how he'd held her there before.

"Do you hear yourself? I was invited, i thought i'd do something nice and help you guys out. I don't give a shit if you have a problem with my money, i earn it, i'll spend it on whoever and whatever i want. I get it, Kook Princess or whatever nickname you've given to me is infiltrating your family. But don't start on me for something i didn't even do." JJ's eyes hadn't left Y/n's face since she'd pushed him against the door, he wanted to feel angry, wanted to hate her but the way she pressed against him and the spark in her eyes was really not something he expected to turn him on so much. Instead JJ just let himself be impulsive, grabbing her neck and pulling her into a deep kiss as he pressed himself into her, Y/n freezing as he did until she found her wits pushing him off her.

"Are you fucking serious? You don't get to treat me like shit and then kiss me." Y/n scowled at JJ but he was too busy containing the urge to do it again, he wanted to push her against the door and fuck her until she didn't know her own name. He realised that all the comments, negativity had been him hiding the attraction to a kook, and whenever he'd looked at her with annoyance he'd been discreetly wishing she'd look over and notice him. Now she was noticing him just not the way he wanted, he wasn't used to being talked back to like that, not from a hot girl who he'd kissed at least. He'd unleashed her fury and he was ready to let her take it on him anyway she wanted as long as he could kiss her again. 

"You're really hot when you're mad." JJ blurted, not thinking as he grabbed her hips pulling her into him as she raised an eyebrow and dropped her eyes to where he held her against him.

Y/n finally pushed him away, walking back to the kitchen where she began cleaning up, trying not to think about how good JJ felt against her and how she wanted to get out all her frustration by fucking him. JJ watched her before he slinked next to her, watching her closer as he leant against the sink, his hear invading her body as she washed up wanting to ignore how she could feel his eyes tearing her clothes off with each gaze.

Snowy Winter Fun

Laughter has taken over the empty fields before me. In the distance, I can hear Christmas carols. It is all a part of a little tradition we started just the year before. It's a fun time. The whole pack and all their friends, including myself, have gathered once again at my residence on the edge of the forest on the outskirts of the town. My house overlooks several acres of land that were once agricultural soil but are now completely empty. All belongs to me as I was my grandfather's heir when he died last year.

Everyone is having fun, even Stiles, who has gotten grumpy most of the time. We've been having a snowball fight for the last hour, at least until most have become exhausted. 

For those who are too exhausted, I offer to go in and make them hot chocolate, which they, of course, accept with joy. But just as I'm about to enter my house, tragedy strikes: a dull pain on the back of my head makes me stop. Turning around, I look at everyone standing still. Just as surprised as me. If it weren't for the grin on his stupid face, I would have never known that Liam had thrown the piece of frozen water at me. 

“You little shit!” I mutter under my breath, quite angry but with a crooked grin.

Without saying anything else, my red Alpha eyes lit up, signaling the little Beta that he was going too far this time. Even from a distance, I could see him swallowing anxiously. Since his Alpha wasn't there, as he wasn't welcome on my property, he must be shitting his pants right now.

As I start to run, so does the little shit. The snow makes it almost impossible to use my supernatural speed. Even though I almost grabbed him, he freed himself somehow from my grip.

Without another word, he throws his arms up defensively, steps back, and apologizes to Liam, “I'm sorry, little wolf, but I can’t.”

Liam looks genuinely hurt for a moment but quickly regains his composure. In an angry tone, he shouted, “You whipped idiot! You sacrifice your friend to get laid?”

“You have no idea how warm he is,” Theo tells him casually.

Liam turns his head to look at Theo, his face twisted in disgust. But he didn't slow down like I had hoped. Even though the uneven and slightly slippery ground isn't great for speed, the little shit somehow can run like there was nothing there.

Suddenly, Isaac steps into my way. In a soft voice, he asks, “Don't you think it’s enough? Liam looks terrified.”

Without uttering a word, I swiftly grab his arm, hoist him up into the air, and use my power to hurl him to the ground. Then, I step beside him and push his head into the snow.

“I hope the snow tastes good, pretty boy,” I tell him with a shit-eating grin, and I immediately run after Liam again. But out of nowhere, Brett stands in my way with his arms outstretched. Just before I can crash into him, I grab his arm and throw him away. Instead of running after Liam again, I jog towards Brett and push his head into the snow. With the same shit-eating grin, I ask him, whispering in his ear, "Was it worth trying to protect your little secret friend?"

Standing back up, I could instantly see Theo glaring at me. With my hands raised defensively, like Theo had done before, I ask him, “You’re not jealous, are you?”

“Pretty boys?” he asked with a raised eyebrow, visibly annoyed.

I jog to him and smile brightly. I quickly wrap my arms around him. We stare into each other's eyes. My heart jumps several times just looking at his handsome face and beautiful eyes. 

“They’re pretty, yes,” I begin to speak but got punched by Theo in the stomach before I could continue. “Fair enough,” I murmur. Before he can hit me again, I catch his hand and whisper in his right ear, "But you're the hottest guy I've ever seen."

I can see a fire igniting in his eyes. Before he can react, I steal a quick kiss from his sinful lips, which now usually would be all over my neck to mark me.

“Not now,” I tell him, pushing him back slightly so I can quickly run away. But before I get far, I'll cast another look back. “Now I have to catch the little shit and spank some sense into him.”

Suddenly, I hear a squeak in the distance. As I follow the sound, I can see Liam standing there, fear written on his face. His loud swallowing can be heard across the empty field. This time, I react faster than he does. But he starts running only a few seconds later. Still, I'll grab him even if it's the last thing I do!

I don't care what ANYONE says, Drew totally has some sort of cursh on Jake; Henry and Liam know abt it too. You might think: but he's dating Zoey, he can't be gay. (Well he was dating Zoey lmao, they broke up in the most recent episode)

Being closeted is a thing. There's a chance that he's gay and just has some internalized homophobia, so he dates Zoey as a way to 'prove' he's straight. Also, throughout the series it is shown how shallow this relationship is, and just how little they seem to like each other. And Zoey is literally a gold digger and cheating on him sooo…… ALSO IN EPISODE 6, when Jake sees him in the mall and goes to hide from him, DREW LOOKS SO UNHAPPY, PROB CUZ JAKE "COULDNT" COME

Okay now that that's out of the way…. Even if he was gay, Jake is just his best friend, how would you think he has a crush on him?

In episode 5, in the starting scene in the cafeteria Drew gets annoyed when Jake isn't listening to him. He also acts Jealous over Jake thinking abt the music club, saying, AND I QUOTE "Y'know, I'm starting to wonder if you prefer their company over ours." You can't tell me that isn't showing blatant jealousy over it!!! Then Henry mentions that it makes Drew sound Jealous, and Drew BLUSHES tell's him to shut up, then AGAIN I QUOTE "I'm just saying, you used to care to listen to me." ME. He wasn't talking about him, Liam, and Henry when he said that, just HIMSELF!!! AND THE LOOK HE GIVES JAKE AFTER JUST…IDK IT SCREAMS JEALOUS BOYFRIEND ENERGY. Also then they start discussing how Jake is doing the competition to confess to Daisy, and when Liam is talking to Jake telling him to just confess normally, DREW LOOKED SO SAD. I MAY JUST BE DELUSIONAL BUT HE FR SEEMED SAD ABT IT. Then Jake has to leave cuz he's going to be late for music practice, and Henry (our fav character <333) says, once again I quote, "Don't look so blue, Drew. I know it must be sad to see your boy running off to the music freaks, instead of into your arms" and Drew blushes AGAIN. Alsooo its worth mentioning that Drew is rarely seen smiling. But every time he IS smiling (with maybe ONE exception), he is with Jake!!! ANOTHER THING I FIND THAT REALLY SUPPORTS THIS THEORY. Drew acts supportive towards Jake's crushes, but it seems like he only is when he feels like Jake won't get with them. Like with Daisy!! In episode 1, when Liam tells Jake he should just ask Daisy out already, Jake says he's "waiting for the right moment" (When someone says that u know damn well they ain't doing it) And Drew doesn't think he's actually going to do it, saying, and I quote, "You've been waiting for the 'right moment' for years" if this comment doesn't show you that he clearly doesn't see Jake taking a step to get with Daisy, then idk what else could. But Drew see's that Jake seem's to be taking an interest to Hailey, he doesn't act the same way. Well, at FIRST he does. Once again, I'm using episode 5 to support this lmao, when Jake is distracted during the game, Drew and Liam come up asking why he's making them lose blah blah, he looks over to where Hailey is and pretty much puts two and two together. He teases Jake in the moment, clearly thinking nothing will come of it. But when he sees they are spending more time together, he gets angry over it. Also when Jake says he doesn't like Hailey in this scene, his "Okay" comes off as so angry lmao. Also in episode 9 (the episode that genuinely makes me wanna kms /hj) When Jake is acting all blue, and finds out it's about Daisy, he seems SO annoyed over it. (Though, to be fair, it could be bc he justs wants to spend some time with his friend without him moping abt shit, but still.) When Drew says "Are you singing for Daisy, or for Hailey" He doesn't seem happy about either option fr. When Drew gets reminded of how Jake is singing for Daisy for Hailey specifically, two girls he thinks Jake likes, he has angry outbursts (once again, bro is so jealous) Drew doesn't even bother to mention Zander by name, his anger is clearly just about how close Hailey and Jake have gotten. And what about Daisy? Her and Jake barely ever speak, so Drew isn't nearly as bothered about that.

OKAY. That's all I feel like writing, but there is quite a few more examples throughout tmf that could support this theory!! Just a note, unless Drew has a redemption arc and becomes less judgemental and controlling; this relationship would be toxic, and I understand this. I don't want Drake to become canon (Well if drew has a redemption arc..then maybe I do…) and I don't believe it has any chance of becoming canon, though I really do think that there's a possibilty of Drew liking Jake. Which makes me rlly feel bad for the dude even if he is sort of an asshole :(

thoughts on bridgerton season 3 part 2

MASSIVE spoilers ahead, i'm really annoyed so this is going to come out very salty!

TLDR: this season was largely a disappointment. part 1 is better than part 2.

-i've said it before and i'll say it again: this is an ensemble show that ultimately suffers for how large its cast is, how short each season is, how cheap netflix is, and how poor the writing is. the actors are great and do well with what they're given. the stories in and of themselves are largely compelling. but they need space and time to be told properly. eight episodes between 10+ characters is not enough.

-unhinged/in love colin from the books was sorely missed. the book is problematic yadda yadda but i prefer it at this point. instead for pretty much three out of four episodes in part two, he was just angry or sad and that was it. he felt so flat.

-i find it hilarious that debling just fucked off after rejecting penelope. he didn't even stick around to try and court cressida, who was clearly more than willing to take penelope's place?? he literally could have solved all her problems and that could have saved an incredible amount of screen time that should have gone to Colin/Penelope.

-i love the way they bridged portia and penelope's relationship. also to a lesser degree, her sisters. prudence not being so cunty anymore was nice but felt a little off, i think she needed more screentime with pen to show that she finally realizes what a bad sister she was and that she's genuinely sorry. one quick little comment "i was being honest" (or whatever it was) to me, didn't feel like enough. but i'm still glad they came around.

-violet/marcus and by extension, agatha. i'm glad violet and agatha finally had a heart to heart/ conversation that was about them and not the young people. when they affirmed that they were there for each other no matter what and used each other's given names? precious. i teared up. i love their friendship. (also don't come at me for what may have happened during Queen Charlotte bc i never finished it lol)

-the queen is probably my least favorite character. she used to have funny/kind moments but now it feels like she is just rude and dismissive and mean towards everyone. i can't even like her in a GirlBoss way because all we see from season to season is how other people manipulate her. Agatha manipulates her. Grimsby manipulates her. Lady Whistledown manipulates her. she was kind for francesca for a couple of days and then went sour when she realized francesca chose someone else. i get that she's jaded from season 2 but idk i don't enjoy her scenes at all anymore. she crashes the wedding breakfast to accuse the bridgertons, belittles the Mondriches ball at the start, complains/belittles all the debutants trying to impress her, doesn't care about the events being hosted in her honor. i loved her in seasons 1-2 but now she's just boring and one note.

-eloise finally admitted she was reckless/in the wrong about the Theo situation. that was nice. and she finally admitted befriending cressida was a poor choice. do i sense character growth at last?? but i'm still a little unhappy about how rudely she ditched Cressida once she and Penelope made up. Hey, this new friend of yours is distraught because of her shit home life and is about to be married off to some old, austere codger and you literally don't care? i genuinely felt so bad for cressida. she is a creature pushed into a corner lashing out for any way to escape and nobody (understandably, bc she makes bad choices) wants to help her. but eloise keeps saying that cress surprised her with how she was the only one to show her kindness when she was a social outcast and now the same is happening to Cressida and yet instead of repaying the favor, Eloise abandons her.

Eloise even goes so far to say that Cressida used her. Did she not also use Cressida? She admitted she befriended her to be petty towards Penelope. And she clearly stuck with Cressida out of boredom/reluctance to mingle with the other ladies their age because she found them beneath her. Eloise is still a hypocrite. I thought she'd taken a step forward but she's in the same place.

did cressida deserve help? not particularly considering the blackmail/fake identity, history of bullying. but does she also deserve to be married off like that and cut off like that by her asshole dad? also no.

with all that talk about running away i genuinely was rooting for C to run away, but i'm disappointed it didn't happen. i guess it makes sense within her character--she's always been a caged creature--i don't think running away ever came to mind, even if she didn't want to be shipped off to Wales with her aunt. she's strong but doesn't (yet) have the resolve/ferocity of someone like marina who was willing to run away with colin to elope in gretna green.

frankly i found cressida's story the most compelling in season 3 so far.

-benedict. if i have to watch ONE more sex scene for Ben i'm going to scream. wowwee, he had another threesome! and no more queerbaiting--he finally had sex with a man! <--that part is at least noteworthy for his character--but genuinely--i don't really care when his only storyline this season is that all he does is have sex. there are far more compelling stories needing attention right now and yet we get another freaking sex barrage with benedict. Colin and Penelope were robbed here and i don't think it's unreasonable to be annoyed that a B-tier ensemble character got more sexy time than them. and for what purpose? all we get out of ben's enlightenment is that it's ok to be gay and that he's not ready for serious commitment. which is fine and dandy except that that was already drilled into our heads since season 1. i feel like my time was wasted here because i already watched him do the same damn things over and over for THREE SEASONS by now.

AND FOR THAT MATTER:

if they really wanted to show any sense of growth for benedict they could have had him be brutally honest to Tilley and say something like:

"I'm having fun with our arrangement. I am open to seriously committing to someone someday...but I don't think you are that person."

what a world of a difference that would make, wouldn't it? it would show he's coming closer to being ready to meet Sophie but that he's still not quite ready to give up his old ways. i truly believe his season is next and frankly it wouldn't feel so insulting to watch his repetitive storyline if they had written better dialogue in that ONE scene.

-T.S's You Belong with Me playing during a fucking wedding scene was a choice. All the options in the world and you pick a song about high school jealousy??? Babydoll I could pick five better options off my general playlist. across all three seasons, there's been so many bad cover choices imo.

-Coldplay's Yellow being Polin's song was an actual choice I will salute. Beautiful moment.

-the whole whistledown speech at the end where pen reveals herself was extremely flat to me and left me so bloody disappointed. someone brought this up on reddit and i agree so hard it hurts--why wasn't colin up there by her side? book colin would have VAULTED up over everyone just to be there with her and protect her. instead we get mopey Colin watching her from below. i need to rewatch it again but it felt like there was hardly any reaction from the ton to her speech. it felt like they shrugged their shoulders when she was finished and resumed the ball. my mouth was agape at that--you're telling me not one of the attendees would have rushed up and said "omg it was you??" "how did you do it?" "i can't believe it!" or something to that effect. the bridgertons already had that reaction so it would've been effective for literally anyone in the ton to show some amazement.

-ngl, i also feel quite cheated that Penelope was never celebrated in the way she deserved. yes, she got her wedding and the man she always wanted--but creating/maintaining the Whistledown enterprise is a huge accomplishment. individually there was praise from those closest to her but really there was such a huge element of shame and punishment surrounding it that really bothered me. yeah, she said some mean things but she did it because she was severely neglected/ostracized from her own community. there was no acknowledgment of that at all (that i can recall. once again i should do a rewatch but whatever) and that pains/angers me. not one person beside her mother took a moment to think or say, 'i treated you badly and caused you pain. i'm sorry.' instead they just focused on making penelope apologize again and again when she had only reacted from years of pain, which nobody even deigned to acknowledge.

wasn't there a moment in the book when she gets some applause after her revelation? am i misremembering? but in the show it was like nobody gave a fuck because ooh butterflies! which was...so stupid lol. bless you though, phillippa. penelope single-handedly contributed to the entertainment of the ton for years and exposed awful people even if she made fun of others. characters frequently and often complained if her issue was one day late and debated her true identity and so when she finally reveals herself there's no applause? no true reaction? were they all asleep? what the fuck? that scene was shocking at how badly executed it was. it was rushed and it showed.

-also, WHY choose to have Colin learn Penelope is Lady Whistledown in episode six? I hate this because it crams all the drama in the last two episodes and makes everything feel rushed and frantic. he should have found out in episode three or four and i'll die on that hill. for that matter, his refusal to understand that Whistledown was Penelope's life's work and greatest achievement/power was so annoying. In the book he came around to it pretty fast and yet here it dragged on for way too long. everyone wanted her to give Whistledown up until it benefited them.

-editing to add a huge gripe i have with post-production:

for the love of god, go easy on the filters. the artificial blues and yellows are killing me. in twilight, it was camp. it was great. it does not translate well here. also, have y'all noticed how HEAVILY they blur the backgrounds??? there was one scene with colin and penelope in the garden and every time the camera focuses on one of their faces from over the other's shoulder (they were both seated) the background is blurred heavily. it looks bad!!! stop doing that!!! the backgrounds lend to the vibe! it genuinely makes the show look like crap when i notice that happening. it makes them look like they're using the green screen filter on tik tok. STOP. IT.

(seriously, imagine Joe Wright's Pride and Prejudice, the scene where Elizabeth is on the rocky plains and or she and her aunt and uncle are sitting at the base of that enormous tree--all that gorgeous scenery, remember that? now slap the Bridgerton filter over it so it's all one massive ugly blur. does that mental image fill you with rage? GOOD.)

-i didn't cover this in the prev. post but in part 1, the whole runaway balloon scene was Not Good. Why a balloon? the danger that poses is not that great--why not a runaway horse? there was too much sense of danger to the actual threat posed by a freaking basket. also the way penelope acted in that scene felt very very out of character for her and i hate rewatching it, even if colin looks very dashing while holding the rope. ugh.

-polin's main sex scene was beautiful. i feel kind of disappointed that everything else we got was less than a minute long and not in a weird way. it just feels a fair amount of the promo we got from Nic and Luke was hinting at the sex scenes and yet we got very little in actuality. i keep seeing people talk about there being a minutes long montage of them and yet it got cut. but in season one we got a LOT (imo too many sex scenes between daphne and simon). there were too many side stories happening this season and i'm sure that contributed to that, but there is also a whisper in the back of my mind that tells me that maybe showrunners felt the need to overly pad this season with storylines because they either didn't feel like nicola and luke could carry it alone or because they didn't care.

-i'm really glad genevieve got more scenes here, especially with penelope. their friendship is really nice and it's sad/sweet that penelope chose to spend her last night before her wedding with her, because apparently her mother/sisters didn't plan anything for her.

-frencesca/john. i have no stake in this game since i haven't read their book yet, as i've mentioned before. they're cute together but i'm not invested. they should have gotten married way earlier imo because all the "we need to tip toe around the queen bc she hates us :( but we want to marry now" went on too long and got boring. the michaela thing doesn't bother me but i understand why fans are upset about it.

-polin felt like a side character in part 2. i feel like their scenes went by way too quickly and their screentime was so sparse to the point of legitimately becoming annoying. colin spent most of it mad and penelope spent most of it crying/trying to explain herself. they had hardly any truly happy moments together.

-kanthony was adorable.

dear reader, my heart split in two. they did a really really good job with showing penelope's self-doubt and low confidence thanks to years of neglect and ridicule and doubt from her mother. when colin stood up for her to her mother and she looked so shocked, my heart broke again for her. poor pen, i just wanted to hold her. when violet and hyacinth hugged penelope after colin announced their engagement i wanted to cry bc poor pen is so starving for positive affirmations/love that just those hugs where enough to overwhelm her.

-also lady danbury saying that she had suspected Pen was whistledown was amazing. i love that she acknowledged her and her love for the bridgertons....but i'm still really upset that they nixed her and penelope's friendship/mentorship that was in the books. she was busy with her own storyline what with violet and marcus and sure it still worked but that was a relationship i was so excited to see in the show...and they didn't even try adapting it except for like, three lines at the very end. >:( hello 911? we've been ROBBED.

i've noticed over seasons 1-2 that the main romantic couple has one dance set to the bridgerton theme song.

in season one, daphne and simon dance to the theme song in episode 2 or 3 (the one where daphne says "and we must try to look like we enjoy each other's company" and simon replies stiffly but then they giggle and laugh all through it which was so cute

in season two, kate and anthony dance to it in the second to last episode where they're dancing with the rest of the bridgertons and lady danbury at the ball they threw that nobody came to. the subtitles say it's a country rendition (whatever that means) of the theme song but they are involved in the dance so it counts.

when i noticed this i thought it was such a cute touch and was anxiously waiting for Penelope and Colin to get their moment.

...instead benedict dances to the bridgerton theme song with Lady Tilley? who he clearly isn't going to end up with? wtf?? and it doesn't even work in the context of the scene because it's a wholesome tune and yet she's dancing like she wants to eat him alive? sigh.

i'm just an old man yelling at clouds now but i wish the writing in this show was better so badly because it meets expectations but it's so frustrating because it can be so much better. let the show breathe! thin out the cast. really pick and choose who gets airtime, because it's precious and you anger your viewers when you waste it.

i will rewatch the season in full at some other point, but i'm too annoyed now. there is much more i want to talk about but this is long enough for now. i will say that at this point i'm not even sure i want to continue watching beyond this season.

Ive made through chapters 4-7 today and good god, I feel like i had basically nothing to say about acotar as I was reading it but with this book theres so much to talk about for some reason, its wild. Truly, I did not realize how much I liked Feyre in the first book until I was under threat of losing her

Now, I will say that Feyre seems in-character so far, shes still the same woman but traumatized, but I am worried for her. Tamlin is a whole different story though, SJM might as well shoot him dead right in front of me for how thoroughly hes being character assassinated. Like, if Tamlin actually cares about Feyre as a person and not just in a douchy, possessive alphahole way, which he should because Tamlin was not that kind of guy previously, then he would force Feyre to train so she can defend herself if necessary, not forbid her from it. Even if he didnt want her to use her magical powers, surely he would make her practice with her knife or with a sword or even with her bow just to be safe, because hes not always gonna be there

I think his actions do continue to make sense if you look at them from his perspective, but I also maintain that he's doing a really bad job at responding to Feyre. But also, its so laughably obvious what sjm is doing by having Tamlin say shit like "you were stolen from me", shes trying to paint him as some objectifying asshole. Even Lucien calling her "Tamlin's bride" feels like its part of all this, and I know Ianthe is gonna turn out to be a traitor and a rapist at some point, so it really comes across as an attempt to villify the entire spring court for its association with Tamlin

Speaking of Lucien, I genuinely think part of the reason Feylin is doing so badly in this book is that his dynamic with Tamlin is completely different now. For some reason hes all like "oh, my High Lord" instead of "my good friend Tamlin", he suddenly cant say a word against him when he was talking to shit to him just a few months ago in-uinverse. Like, if their dynamic was the same as it was in acotar, Lucien wouldve probably been like "hey man, I know youre stressed and I get it, I know what its like to watch the love of my life get brutally murdered I dont know what its like to have her magically ressurected again but thats neither here nor there, but Feyre is clearly not happy being inside all day and you need a break, go take her out on a date in the woods, I'll stay here and take care of everything, dont even worry about it" or gotten him to comprise with Feyre or chill tf out or SOMETHING but because theres suddenly this rigid hierarchy in the spring court in order to make the night court look better

Speaking of the night court, Ive heard some stuff about it feeling very orientalist but it still managed to completely blindsight me with its badness. Feyre got fucking harem pants to wear, really? And a short-sleeved croptop, and no fucking shoes, probably because Rhys didnt want Feyre throwing shoes at him again. That was the one moment in this book that brought me genuine joy btw, I would read a thousand fanfics about her just throwing shit at him

Anyway, speaking of my guy (derogatory) Rhysand Nolastname, hes so incredibly annoying I dont even have any coherent thoughts about him right now, like, if I were to write down what I think of him I would just write "he fuckinh pisses me off" over and over again. thinking about it stresses me out and i can't explain it well but making the world link events take up an entire event slot instead of it running alongside a different event is such a horrible idea imo, especially if it takes this month's lim banner entirely. and i think it's impossible considering vbs's one is in january and there's the new years fes anyways? unless they make new years perm again like in 2021 but it's going to be so fucking annoying and predictable for any fan that's been waiting for a lim for a while, especially vsers because it basically confirms that the devs STILL aren't treating them like the actual characters and putting them in events with the ocs (let alone having to wait until AUGUST for more fucking lims, yea like we need another fucking one-year gap /s). its genuinely irritating for me if they end up deciding that and not making next event lim. plus it makes the next event from now only six days considering this gacha ends October 31st, and with the event gap, the event has to end November 5th or 6th. and this wl event lasts 12 days and no event has lasted either of those lengths in jp (not to mention the weird fucking chapter-by-chapter thing going on?). sorry for acting angry but i really am disappointed if this ends up being the case without any fucking warning it makes no sense!

yeah the WL event just feels like it needs some work. obviously this is the first one so there's gonna be some problems here and there but this feels like it's pretty messily put together, even for a first run. i understand it taking an event slot because otherwise you'd have to tier two separate events at the same time and that'd just be difficult, but just the sheer amount of time it takes up is too much. maybe shorten the chapters to 2 days from 3, 12 days is too long. it's just gonna be really draining and a pain in the ass to tier, plus it makes the event before it really short. like seriously, 7 days for the MMJ event? i mean the current event is only 8 but normally cheerful carnivals last about 10 because of the format. i mean MMJ wouldn't perform as well as a N25 banner anyway so maybe they're just throwing the 7 day event on them for testing purposes.

since VBS is directly after new year colofes+lims I'm guessing WL lims don't count as actual lims. maybe they don't have hairstyles, i mean they said about MR2 unlocking special cut-ins, so maybe they do that instead of hairstyles. i wonder if they'll be like a bday card where they have their own rarity or something because if the game is willing to run them directly after a fes banner they can't be all that rare? maybe they reappear on future WL events like how all fes cards are on every colofes banner.

i get the feeling that the WL event won't have a specific character focus. they didn't announce a song other than the 3rd anniversary campaign one, so unless they're deciding to count that as Kanade's 4th comm then it doesn't look like this has a specific focus. well, apparently each part of the event/story is focused on a different character so that makes sense I guess. also the 3rd anni campaign commissions are meant to release monthly, and these events are getting dragged out until well past when all unit will've gotten their comm.

i think a lot of adjustments are gonna have to be made to the event starting from the VBS one. like the whole thing feels messy right now. and maybe it's because they haven't really told us a whole lot about how it works still, but there's obvious problems from the get-go like the duration and the amount of gacha cards on top of the fact they're now rerunning 3 lim gachas at a time. how badly does this game want our money they earn way more than any other idol game on the market.

SO. I finally finally finished season four so I’m all caught up with the main story. I wanted to get through it before Nightbringer came out and I have done it.

I would like to begin by saying that I am in love with Thirteen. She's perfection.

I wasn’t sure about Raphael at first but he grew on me by the end. His enjoyment of Solomon’s cooking is concerning, but at least someone likes it??

I actively disliked Mephistopheles at first but he also grew on me by the end. Now I’d say I'm willing to give him a chance and I find him intriguing.

I still don’t feel like I know these characters well enough to write for them though. 😮‍💨 I need more content!

I have some OPINIONS but they’re spoilery so I’m gonna put them under the cut in case anybody wants to read them.

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH SIMEON I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.

I mean, I already knew that he was human now so it’s not like I was surprised or anything. Even if I hadn’t encountered this truth by spending too much time in the fandom, it’s pretty easy to guess.

But I’m annoyed because it MAKES NO SENSE.

I really enjoyed season three and I loved the angels running the cafe, all of that was great. And I get that this happened because Simeon was already a human by that point, but there could have easily been a different reason for it.

This game isn’t exactly known for being consistent or even making sense most of the time, but this whole Simeon is a human thing feels even more haphazard than the usual stuff.

First, what even is the angel’s blessing? How does not having access to it make Simeon straight up human instead of just an angel without powers? Is he mortal now? Is he gonna start aging like a human would?

Second, Simeon saved MC and/or Lucifer’s life (depending on your choice iirc) by taking the Ring of Light. MC’s powers were so great that it was causing actual harm in the world that would only get worse. The Ring of Light fixed that without anyone having to die. Isn’t that more important than the fact that Simeon took it without permission? Is the Celestial Realm so weird about rules that they can’t see past them when it’s necessary?

I’m not exactly fond of the Celestial Realm in general. I know the brothers always seem to be like we miss it and oh yes what a lovely place and blah blah, but it sounds bonkers. They're stuck up, overly strict, and too fond of punishments that don’t fit the crime. I much prefer the Devildom where that sort of thing only really manifests as a leftover in Lucifer, at least in my opinion. (I mean, the punishment for skipping class at RAD is detention and while writing lines is pretty old school, Simeon's line was "I may smile all the time, but I'm scary when I'm angry! ♡" So you know.)

Third, Lucifer said that Simeon couldn’t go back to the Celestial Realm now. So does this mean they not only took away the angel’s blessing, but also straight up kicked him out? Or is it more like you just physically can’t get there without the blessing?

Fourth, Lucifer also suggests that Raphael is there to watch over Simeon. I find the motivations here questionable. If Raphael volunteered to be an exchange student for the express purpose of looking out for Simeon, that would make sense. Raphael seems to be genuinely fond of Simeon. So if the motivation was his own and he just wants to look out for his friend, that checks out. And it makes me like him more. But if it was more like the Celestial Realm (Michael??) being like, hey Raphael can you go watch that guy for us? Then I find it concerning.

I thought all of this might make some sense if Simeon is meant to fall completely at some point and become a demon, but no. That still makes no sense. Lucifer and his brothers fell after a major war, it wasn't like they gradually started going down or anything. And there is no mention of any other angels falling and becoming demons, so I don't know if it's even happened again.

I just don’t get where they’re going with this. Is MC supposed to help Simeon get his power back somehow? Because while I would like that to happen, it’s annoying that it had to happen in the first place. Especially since Simeon DID THE RIGHT THING.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS UP WITH THE REAPERS.

Thirteen is obviously still living in her cave, which is fine and all, but is she like one of many? It sounds like she is. And apparently they don't belong to any one realm, so are there reapers living in all the three worlds? Do they have some kind of leader? How many candles do each of them keep in their own caves? Like there are a lot of humans so there must be a pretty decent amount of reapers needed to keep track of all the deaths and what not. The existence of the brothers' candles also implies that they can in fact die, especially since that was the whole reason for going to the cave to begin with. But I'm confused about how that even happens. Like do demons just live a really really long time, but then at some point they age rapidly and fade away? Or is it more like at some point they just meet with a terrible accident or something?

I think the big issue for me personally with all of this is that I want EXPLANATIONS but this is not really an explanation sort of game. The focus really is on MC's relationships with the brothers and others, not really about how the Devildom/Celestial Realm/magic works.

But because I have so many questions, I have a tendency to want to fill in the missing information for myself. I could absolutely answer all these questions in fic form in a way that makes sense to me personally, you know? Do I have the time to do that, no not really, but do I very much want to? YES.

We'll see, maybe I'll do some more long form stories exploring some of this stuff. But I'll probably wait until after Nightbringer because with any luck they'll give us some answers! At the very least, they seem to be about to give us some Barbatos and Solomon backstory which is another thing that I HAVE MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT.

And don't even get me started on the whole student council joining nonsense, what even was all that about? A dark crevasse, really?

All I really want is for Barbatos to say he loves MC in the main story. Is that too much to ask?! You can leave all my other stuff unanswered if I can just have that. (Though it'd be really funny if that actually has happened and I just forgot about it. I wouldn't be surprised haha. But I can't remember him ever saying that or anything close to it in the main story.)

I just love him so much and I really thought he was going to say something about his feelings at the end, especially when you choose to say I love you to him, but he didn't. Even if you choose the other option, he doesn't. I want to both shake him and smother him with kisses.

Okay, okay, rant over. Clearly the brain rot is all consuming. I didn't even realize I had quite this much to say and I could keep going. Now I'm also greatly concerned for my own sanity.

But it's okay, it's about to get worse because I'm ready for Nightbringer! I can't believe it's coming out so soon! But there's no doubt in my mind that it's going to increase my obsession.

Instantly proved wrong about thinking he isn’t that smart— genuinely got embarrassed when Riddle showcased one(1) percent of his mega mind book smarts in a conversation that Violet overheard.

Gets really annoyed when Riddle gets upset, his loud voice irritates them.

Also gets scared when he’s mad, probably flinches whenever he yells lawl

Of course they instantly forgave the poor guy when they learned his back story. Instantly knew that everyone in this damn school was going to have a gut-wrenching, soul-crushing back story. All that while looking all cute and shit.

Awkwardly tries their best to talk to Riddle, thinking it would be great to be friends after trauma bonding but uh. They chickened out every time, instead they make him a card and a handmade paper rose telling him how they wished to be friends.

Gets so embarrassed when Riddle comes up to them and asks them about the card.

Their friendship will certainly be interesting! Two hot tempered boabys, one of them being smart and the other being as stupid as shit.

Doesn’t know much about his parents but he mentioned that they run a bakery, the way he talks about his parents makes Violet happy. More interested in meeting his parents than getting to know Trey himself.

When Trey mentions how passionate he is about keeping his teeth clean Violet tells him that they don’t wash their teeth everyday.

Damn near gave him a heart attack.

Panting against his skin, back bent down, face hidden at his chest, hips stuttering and yet, still going, still forcing herself to move, even as her legs tremble, even as it becomes slower and slower as her body is racked by the building orgasm, every limb in her body moving wrong, muscles twitching, fingers trembling as she claws against his shoulders, his arms.

She has refused to let out more than heavy trembling breaths, pissed and full of need.

Suguru was one annoying motherfucker sometimes. Shit, she could feel the pulsing of his veins, every ridge, could feel how hard he is, could feel him dragging along her walls.

The way they clamp tightly around him should make him falter. It should have him relenting, it usually does. Yet, now he seems keen on not helping her, even as whines finally leave her lips, even as she grinds against his pelvis desperately, too close to the edge.

It's been a long two weeks. Two weeks during which they had missions back to back and barely any time with each other before something else came up. Two weeks during which they both have been busy and honestly she's been too tired to even stand on her feet for most part of those days.

Yet, he always finds a way to remind her of his sweet touch. To say he's been teasing and making anticipation settle in for two fuckin cursed weeks had got the redhead wanting to strangle his dick was understandable.

It pisses her off. Her temper is already even shorter than usually. Suguru keeping her right on the edge for the third time instead of bucking up into her or wrapping his calloused fingers around her hips and forcing her to continue moving was not making it any better.

And being so frustrated and angry makes one say things they don't mean many times. It was one of the things she struggled with the most, in all honesty, holding back hurtful words she will totally regret later.

So, instead of letting such words out, now she hissed and dug her nails into his shoulders meanly as her body shook again to no avail, edge slowly succumbing into burning again and even more frustration.

"Fuck you, Suguru" she grit out between clenched teeth, and while it was heated and every bit of murderous, it was better than whatever was on the tip of her tongue just a few seconds ago. "Goddamn it, move" Kushina huffed, red curls all over her shoulders and face, lightly moving with the puffs of her breath and the heavy moves of her chest.

It was truly unfair of him. He was starting to piss her off. And while a few of the many bites she left on his body in retaliation for annoying her and teasing her for two weeks had barely remained, she was tempted to bite him again.

Not like he minded. He never did.

The dangerous thought of threatening to go 'Find someone who would actually fuck me properly' lingered in her mind, petty and totally inappropriate, and she was struggling to bury it down instead of letting it out.

She won't, but it didn't mean the words won't hurt. But with how frustrated she was, if he pushed her a bit more, she might genuinely snap and voice them.

Worse? She wasn't even sure why he was doing it. While he probably had something in his mind, he had not cared to share, if one is to ask her. But Suguru was like that. He'd voice something out, would talk a bit, and remain fixated to prove his point even when he seemed to let it go.

She did not have the patience of searching through so many hazy memories in such a moment. So she harshly sucked at a patch of skin on his collarbones, a hiss on the tip of her tongue.

i played origins last but i love the variety of the spells. i mean, yes, it was A Lot to deal with but once you got your combos down it was like those streetfighter games where you just line up your shots like a sniper & destroy every encounter. but yes Hasted Bea would be !!! 

oh yeah. i mean i was toying with the idea of Ava being tranquil & the Breach curing her but your idea is so much better imo so instead healing it = very cool. & yeah maybe when Lilith finds out it’s kind of her Big Trust Moment with Ava & Ava immediately goes a bit nova over the feeling she gets - from Hope - that she could do something like that.

& like, tranquility is so messed up & she definitely had loads of her friends taken by the Templars & made tranquil because Ava would make friends with the most downtrodden/ disobedient kids in her Circle for sure. & like, it’s a very OCS thing, right? watching everyone you love get taken from you, & Ava constantly getting left behind because she’s a spirit healer which makes her juuuuust barely too valuable to be casually made tranquil, hence the fact that she’s killed once the Circle falls. (oh no Diego?? i think there ARE some standards in the circles of not making anyone tranquil before they are a certain age, but maybe he’s not a very strong mage and it would have been almost guaranteed that he’d be made tranquil. kinda like how frances would have killed Diego too). i just... I love the surana/amell origin & i really love the idea of Ava being a circle mage and now being able to reverse tranquility. hell yeah!

it would definitely make the Hinterlands shorter if they were, y’know, delegating lol. & then you get all the party dynamics and also the smaller group dynamics when they split up. Ava would be genuinely devastated - as a spirit healer she’d understand exactly what was done to the spirit & would be so angry & probably Bea would need to calm her down to stop her from drop-kicking the mages responsible through a wall - she’d never kill them but ‘i could be okay with seriously injured, Bea. i could.’

i agree i don’t think Ava would use the Well of Sorrows - being beholden to a sketchy elven god? she is too atheist for that shit, & besides the kick that Ava would get out of Morrigan realising who Mythal is and the ‘lmao so now u have to do whatever ur mom says?’ is too good to pass up. :’D and i think ava is already thinking that she has enough things contending for possession of her body - what with the anchor/ Hope/ the Inquisition, & previously templars. she’s finally *somewhat* free and she’s not about to give an inch of it away. 

hmmm. in HLtA no Bea yes for angst reasons, watching her fall, not necessarily seeing her tear open the Fade. Bea bloodying her fingers and draining her magic lifting the rubble, sifting through for their bodies, finding nothing. :((((

Ava has to be there, naturally. I think Lilith (fuck, could they… like… leave Lilith in the Fade? to fight the nightmare/ do the Stroud thing? and that’s yk the whole getting killed by the Tarask and coming back?? and she does! step out of the Fade, but she’s different? she can’t be possessed because Seeker, but there are other Fade shenanigans that might be possible, and imo bonding with a spirit is not the same as ‘being possessed’. just a thought but like... seeker Lilith who Came Back Wrong but also has this different view of the Fade and of mages and possession and everything her order has scaremongered about for years... hmmm)

so, if that, then Lilith for sure in HLtA. and then since lil is warrior we could have mary or cam (i like mary, because parallels to lilith’s ‘death’ + her worst fears being HoF Shannon going to her Calling in the Deep Roads is very drama). after that i’m not sure. Solas is always a funny pick because he acts like he’s at the beach & it’s very side-eyes of him to be so at home in the Fade. plus he knows things, but also Dorian because Ava needs someone to joke with or she’ll freak in there (i imagine coming from Aeonar she has some potent nightmare material). 

oh shit! Hope in the Fade. remember Anders and Justice? it was just Justice when they went into the Fade! I wonder if that is optional, though i would think… not, but again it’s kind of different because Ava is not dreaming, per say, she’s physically in the fade in her physical body, so i don’t think abomination rules work quite the same, but I think Hope would be more present, & she should glow. as a treat. 

do you think that Ava would let the Wardens stay after HLtA? i get the feeling that she would, mainly because imo sending them away is kind of … not the best option. better to keep an eye on them if they’re sketchy, or have their aid if they are not.

and the Winter Palace! who is she siding with? i can see her being ‘yuck Gaspard’ but ALSO ‘yuck Celene’ once she realises that she burned down a whole alienage when the Halamshiral elves tried to campaign for rights/ ‘rebel’.

so i could see her giving a big middle-finger to Orlais and appointing Briala, or making Gaspard/Celene puppets of Briala. (have you read The Masked Empire? it’s like, the one Dragon Age novel i will heartily recommend. also the Cole one (called Asunder i think) because Cole my bby my precious and also Aeonar! anyway in TME Celene and Briala are SOOO fucked up and it’s honestly kind of amazing).

but yeah, Ava being very ‘then perish’ at Halamshiral & taking special pleasure in actually fucking dazzling the court, much to Bea’s astonishment. 100% court-approval Ava Silva. she totally duels someone. : D

If Ava learns how to reverse Tranquility, then she could work with Lilith to reform the Seekers with the added function of acting like an appeals court, where they could determine if the Rite was used appropriately and reverse it if not. They could also act as a kind of rehabilitation service for newly un-Tranquil to help them adjust without causing problems (I'm picturing a mind-body wellness retreat on steroids). Mages would be allowed to join the Seekers as they once tried to in Ameridan's day. They wouldn't have Seeker powers necessarily but they would balance the overwhelming Templar-ness of the organization and act as investigators and judges. This would do so much for Circle reform as well.

Dorian and Solas are probably equal in how often they're called on for missions. Ava respects their insights and maybe takes them on short jaunts or specific missions, but long journeys might just create unneeded friction. Maybe Dorian goes somewhat more frequently so his Thing with Bull can develop while the party watches in embarrassment. And yes, when he starts rambling on about all the ways Tevinter is better than the South, Ava steals his jewel-encrusted mustache comb.

Does Lilith get stuck in the Fade??? Maybe... If she does, then maybe she meets a Spirit of Faith, or even the Faith that made her a Seeker in the first place, and bonds or otherwise interacts with it to become, like the most Seeker-y Seeker to ever Seeker (which is literally what she's always wanted given to her in the most Traumatic way possible, poetry in motion). She reinforces reality so hard she gets punted straight out of the Fade (You KICK Lilith? You kick her body like the football?!) Consequently, this means she can never physically go back to the Fade again, so no Trespasser galivanting for her, and she might even become like the Dwarves, unable to dream or connect to the Fade in any way (big implications there).

Ava definitely glows in the Fade, and everyone is like, "Don't you have a dimmer switch on that thing? You're alerting the demons." She would let the Wardens stay too (exiling them is just a silly decision, don't fuxking alienate the only people who can save Thedas from the Blights, okay? YOU STILL HAVE TWO ARCHDEMONS LEFT!)

I don't think Ava would just let Celene die, but she wouldn't cry about it either. If it happens, then she uses the blackmail on Gaspard to give Briala the true power over the Empire.

The ways you win approval in Halamshiral are so hilariously arbitrary that yes, Ava, with her natural charm, is surprisingly proficient. The only time things might get tricky is if Bea's parents are there, because hoo boy. But then! Vivienne (who is there of course because what's the point otherwise) swoops in before Ava can start throwing hands and so tactfully humiliates them that it's an instant +20 Court Approval and they immediately leave. If Viv goes to the Fade in the HLtA, maybe it helps her get over that fear a little. One because, hey, she just fought her way through the freaking Fade and didn't get possessed despite being surrounded by demons. And Two, she sees Ava and Hope together in a tangible way and realizes that they have a genuine, positive bond, so maybe, just maybe, Viv doesn't need to be scared of every spirit that crosses her path for fear of it trying to control her.
