one of these days the fandom is gonna stop lying about happiness charge.

"blue returns megumi's feelings/is leading her on!" wow crazy how that literally never happened.

"the love triangle ruins everything!" the love triangle lasted for a single episode and it wasn't even a bad episode.

"mirage is a child!" she is literally not.

"uuuugh, there's so much het focus" I mean. yeah? and? sorry you guys tricked yourselves into mistakenly thinking precure is a yuri anime but that's kind of a you problem actually.

like. there's plenty of valid criticisms about happiness charge. it sucks that most of the international precure are pale, and that the episode focused on the only two that aren't is saddled by a transphobic stereotype in madame momere. it could have expanded on red's backstory more! whatever the hell was going on with the animation in episode 10! yuko could have used more character focused episodes!

but like. the stuff hachapre gets racked over the coals for just. literally is not true. but instead of giving it a shot and watching it for themselves, people just assume this stuff is true and don't even question it. like. y'all. c'mon.

#Fourfold Soul #<- That's the title of the project I've been working on!#I am very excited to finally show off the cowboy (gender redacted) I've been cooking in a slow boil!!! Yeehaw!#Yes this is the game project. YES I am commited to the bit of having the main character go through a long running pronoun-quest.#This character does not have a name so I cannot formally tag them...#(Okay. Technically they have an internal name for coding/scripting reasons...and I have a nickname for them.#But the important part of making a video game character you get to eventually name is that the name must come from *you*!)#The girl here is a npc so she has a temporary name. So I also cannot tag her. Hmm...#I have several FFS comics thumbnailed out. This one got made first because it's the funniest without context. Lore wise it's weak.#I would love to post the sexy clown but you have to wait just a few more comics.#Fun artist woes moment to share: This is the first time I've had to colour these characters traditionally. *That* was NOT fun.#Going from a specific digital colour palette to being at the whims of my limited colour choices in markers? Hell! On! Earth!#I might also be extra frustrated because this sure is 3x the length of what I usually do for comics! I spent a Whole Day on this.#Past me thought it was soooo funny and needed all the extra panels for pacing. I hate past me. That guy needs to be exploded.

Alright, some time has passed. Side Order Pearl appreciation time.

I can't stress enough how much I missed Pearl and loved her in this DLC. This applies to Marina, too. I feel like I fell even harder for Pearl, I got reminded of all the qualities I love her for. Her impulsiveness, her supportiveness, her comedy, everything. Not to mention the adorable 2D art of her that I'm absolutely normal about (I'm not). I adored this DLC so much.

*gritting teeth* it's really cool how the game itself extensively deconstructs maki's "cold ruthless killer" facade for you and has kaito look into the camera and explicitly tell you what her arc was about and the fandom still mostly portrays her as at best a girlboss and at worst a dumb evil bitch (who only exists to bully kokichi, the only character who's facade isn't meant to be taken at face value)
