Surprisingly enough, there are a good number of times youâve had an argument arise with Deku.
Not the ones where you playfully tease him about not sitting with you on the long trips you took as a class to places.
But the ones where youâd find him training for hours on end with no text or call to let you know that heâd be running late for a date, or a study session.
The ones where heâs so caught up in everything else that he doesnât really make time to focus on your relationship.
Which wouldnât be that big of a deal, had he just told you upfront that he was busy. But with the promise of always finding a way to make time for you, you were beginning to feel like maybe there was someone else, or maybe he didnât really like you, like you thought he did.
But even when you were upset or angry, and Deku cornered you to talk about it, youâd shut him out and tell him it was fine, and that it really wasnât his fault. It was yours for being so devoted to a relationship during such a serious time.
But Deku knew it was more than that.
Every time you seemed upset, or angry, or frustrated by something that seemed like something heâd done or may have had a part in, you always shut him down, telling him youâd get over it like an adult, and handle it.
âYou donât have to handle everything by yourself, letâs just talk about it, why are you feeling like this? You can talk to me, you know Iâll listen.â Dekuâs comforting arms wrapped around you, preventing you from leaving this time around.
Heâd spent maybe a few too many hours trying to learn some new moves and forgot that he was supposed to text you after the first hour to check up on you and your studies.
And when he finally came back after a shower, he realized youâd sent him a few texts asking if he was okay and if he was going to be done training soon.
âItâs fine, Izuâ. I have some work I have to finish-â
âItâs not fine. I upset you, Iâm sorry. But please talk to me. Why are you always trying to dismiss what actually happened?â Deku tried to capture gaze, only to find your lashes sprinkled with tears as you gave a shaky breath.
âI just donât want us to end up like my parents. All they did was fight and argue.â Youâd never really told anyone about that. Let alone anyone youâd been in a relationship with.Â
In that moment, all Izuku could do was hold you closer, laying his head in the crook of your neck.
âIâm sorry. I should take your feelings into account when I make promises to you. I apologize for not keeping those promises.â Deku pulled back and looked into your eyes.
âAnd please donât be afraid to talk to me. I know thatâs scary to think about, but if I make you upset, just talk to me, we donât have to scream or fight, we can have a civilized conversation together about something, and if you feel like we canât, we can always have our friends help if youâre comfortable with that.â Izuku smiled softly, swiping his thumbs over your cheeks to wipe your tears away.
You pushed a small smile onto your lips, resting your face back on his chest as he held you close.
âIâm sorry too.â You apologized.
âDonât be, itâs okay. Why donât we watch a funny movie and relax? I can make us some popcorn!â Izuku was ready with some cheesy hero movie on hand, probably one about some superhero high school with a magical flying bus and a protagonist whose parents were the top heroes, a plot youâd begun to see more and more often these days with the progression of hero society.
âSounds like a plan.â You giggled.

katsuki bakugou
»»ââââ-ăâ
ăââââ-««
Bakugou argues with you because you wonât argue with him-
On a serious note, most of your âargumentsâ start because he feels like you donât trust him enough to talk to him about your feelings.
If you are upset with him for something, or if you feel an argument coming on, youâll dismiss yourself, your feelings, say heâs right, and just back down.
And we all know Bakugou will not go down without a fight example a, the sports festival.
He gets defensive, if not a little more agitated when you donât tell him whatâs going on. Not that heâs entitled to know how youâre feeling constantly, but because if heâs going to be in a relationship, he wants communication between the two of you.
If thereâs something you canât communicate to each other, then it doesnât need to happen or thereâs a problem somewhere.
Which is why when you say that itâs nothing, or that you arenât upset when he knows that thatâs utter fucking bullshit, he gets angry.Â
He wonât take his anger out on you, heâs not that kind of asshole.Â
Even though he hates the assholes, he sometimes drops little clues to Kirishima or Sero.
But overall, he just wants to talk it out with you. He wants to understand whatâs going on, why youâre feeling the way you are, what-if thereâs anything-he can do differently to help you feel better or to prevent this feeling from happening again.
It all crumbles apart when Bakugou said heâd help you with some math homework that youâd be struggling on.
Only for him to be four hours late because he was sitting in detention for sparking a fight with some shit-talking smartass from a support class.
That night you had struggled to answer the problems on your homework, only to bomb the pop quiz on the same subject the next day. It was a mess, and you were upset.
Your grades of course were not Bakugouâs responsibility, but his responsibility was to at least give you a heads-up that the study session wouldâve been moved, or cancelled.
Instead you stayed up way to late trying to understand problems that werenât making any sense, and now your grade was sitting in a hole.
So you were upset.Â
But when Bakugou questioned why you were so quiet around him, you just shrugged your shoulders.
âWhat gives? You not talkinâ to me or something?â Bakugou wasnât exactly sure why you were mad at him until you packed up your things at the common room table, your low grade on the pop quiz and homework proving why you were in a bad mood.
And then Bakugou realized that was the homework he said heâd help you with.
âShit, that was due Tuesday wasnât it.â Bakugou grumbled.
âYeah.â You mumbled.
âHey whatâs wrong with you? Did I do somethinâ? Why you fuckinâ ignoring me and shit?â Bakugouâs fowl language was something you were used to. He wasnât angry, he was confused, though his vocabulary couldâve fooled you.
âItâs nothing, you didnât do anything, Iâve got to study to get this grade up, Iâll see you tomorrow.â You pushed on without another word, trying to escape back to your dorm.
At the mention of the word study, Bakugou then remembered the promised study session.
âHey wait! I was supposed to help you do that shit, letâs go work on-â
âItâs fine, I got it. Go do whatever you want.â You didnât look at him.
âNo, now cut the bullshit letâs go study.â Bakugou tugged you up toward his dorm.
Inside you stood holding your things, your emotions beginning to bubble over as you watched him look for his bag, a stray bandage over his cheek from the punch the kid had thrown at him. Just staring at it made you upset.
âWhy did you do it?â You asked quietly, your voice wavering.
âWhat? Do what?â Bakugou responded.
âI just wanted you to help me and...you-â You stopped yourself, realizing it was selfish to think it was Bakugouâs job to help you exceed in class. Shaking your head you held your things tightly and turned to leave.
âIâm sorry, Iâm not feeling well-â
âBullshit, what the fuck is goinâ on with you? Youâre upset, I know you are, whatâs the problem?â Bakugou stopped you from leaving, almost forcing you to sit on his bed and explain why you were so distant.
âNo- itâs not fair to you, I canât do this, I canât argue with you over something so stupid, I donât want to end up like my fucking parents.â You were crying at this point, tears flooding from your eyes as you dropped your things, your books scattering across his bed as you fell into his arms.
âAre you talking about the fight? You have to communicate with me if you want me to help you. Can you at least tell me what youâre feeling?â Bakugou wanted to help, but with no information, there was little he could do.
âI was just so frustrated, because I was looking forward to studying, and then I found out you were in that stupid fight and I felt like I was all alone, like youâd deserted me and so I just tried to do it on my own and I messed up, and I felt like it was all your fault. I know itâs not. Had I just talked to you we couldâve studied and I wouldâve done fine.â You broke down, sobbing into his warm embrace.
âIâm sorry. Just call me out on my bullshit, okay? Itâs not right that you gottaâ be affected by my own stupid actions.â Bakugou tugged you back from him to place a gentle kiss on your forehead.
âWhy donât we try and do a few practice problems to help you better understand the material?â Bakugou offered, stroking his thumb over your cheeks to wipe your tears.
âYeah, that sounds nice.â
After some silence of Bakugou helping you work through the problems, you thanked him silently with a long hug, just resting your head on his chest. He didnât ask any questions about the comment youâd made, he knew it was probably a sensitive topic.
But heâd be there when you were ready to talk about it.

shoto todoroki
»»ââââ-ăâ
ăââââ-««
Todoroki doesnât really like to argue, not like full on yelling and screaming at least.
If heâs having an argument, heâll try his best to be civil about it, but sometimes he can get a little heated and possibly raise his voice.
Heâs always been fairly outspoken, having to usually bide by someone elseâs rules that he barely thinks for himself, but as of late, heâs doing himself a favor and being his own person, living by his own rules, and sometimes that means bucking up against others when theyâre incorrect.
But when it comes to you, he canât really see himself arguing with you, at least over little things.
However, he des find it rather upsetting that you didnât mention youâd ran into his dad a couple days ago.
Youâd just been out shopping and happened to bump into the pro and you said your helloâs, conversed for a few second about school before both continuing on with your day.
You didnât think it was all that important, and for the most part youâd kind of forgotten about the entire incident.
Youâd met Shotoâs father a few times before, which is why he recognized you as his sonâs significant other.
So when Enji just so happened to mention the little meeting at a âfamily lunchâ on the weekend, Shoto was a bit surprised, and a bit concerned about the run-in.
Considering the first time Shoto introduced you to his father as his significant other, Enji was a bit opposed to the idea of his son having a relationship, but eventually he grew fond of you, thinking that it might be a good idea for his son to have something normal like a relationship, and go on dates, and live like a teenager.
Worried that he mightâve said something rude, Shoto brought it up in his room after eating lunch.
âWhy didnât you mention running into my father?â Shoto asked bluntly as he sat on his bed, watching as you straightened out your sweater.
âI didnât really remember it when I came back to the dorms, it was quick, just said hi and talked about school for a few seconds before we went our separate ways.âÂ
âIf it happens again just tell me, I donât know what heâs thinking, just because he says heâs okay with us together doesnât mean thatâs what he really wants.â Shoto was almost dismissive of the fact that his father had actually just seen his sonâs s/o in public, stopped to say hi and then get back to his busy day.
âIt wasnât anything like that, he seemed fine. He was busy, if he was upset it was probably just because heâd had a long day.â You lowered your voice, bowing your head before speaking again.
âI shouldâve told you, Iâm sorry. Please donât be mad at me.â You were on the offense now, leaving your old statement in the past.
âWhat? Be mad at you? Iâm not mad, Iâm just concerned.â Shoto stood up and walked over to you, quickly noticing how emotional youâd become.
âHey did I say something wrong? Please donât dry, whatâs going on, talk to me.â Shoto lifted your chin only to see your eyelashes coated in tears.
âIâm sorry! Youâre right I shouldâve told you-â
âHey, hey, shhh.â Shoto hugged you, his warm arms wrapping around you as he held you close.
âYou donât have to side with me, if he was nice I believe you. Are you alright?â He asked pulling away to wipe the tears from your cheeks.
âI just-I didnât want us to argue or fight like my parents and I just didnât want you to be mad-â
âHey, itâs okay. Iâm not mad, and we donât have to argue, weâre just talking, weâre not arguing, okay? Itâs okay.â Shoto comforted you, allowing his hands to rub your back.
âIâm sorry.â You cried softly as he led you back to his bed to sit.
âDonât apologize, itâs okay to feel differently than me, it doesnât mean Iâm mad or upset at you. Iâm here to listen when you need me to, please donât feel afraid to talk to me.â Â
Lifting your head to look at Sho, you pushed a small smile onto your lips.
âYour hand is cold.â You nudged his right arm, his hand touching your skin under the hem of your shirt as he held you close to him.
âSorry.â He smiled, wiggling his fingers to tickle you.
âHey! Theyâre cold!â You laughed through your tears, trying to get away from his icy fingers.
âI love you.â
âI love you too.â You pressed a small kiss to the back of his right hand, his cool skin resting against your lips.

denki kaminari

ăââââ-««
Kaminari doesnât argue- at least not with you.
Heâll accuse Kirishima of cheating on some first-person shooter game, or yell curses at Sero for blue-shelling him in Mario Kart.
But heâs never really argued with you about anything.
That doesnât mean youâve never had opposing views. Most of the time, Kaminari just listens and tried to understand how you feel.
But more recently, as you progress through school, heâs been doing weird things.
Training longer, forgetting to text you-and he always texts you.
It hurts your heart when you see him smiling and goofing around with Kirishima when today was your movie-night.
Youâre not angry at him, you donât own him for the day, heâs allowed to do other things, but you feel upset. You feel like he doesnât care about your feelings.
So you head up to your room early, not even bothering to say goodbye to him.
Only about thirty minutes go by when heâs knocking on your door asking for you, asking if youâre feeling okay and why you went back to your room so early.
âIâm fine.â You lie, your expression was more than telling of that factor. You had a pout on your lips, your brows werenât up and happy, and your eyes didnât sparkle at the sight of your handsome boyfriend.
âYouâre not! Whatâs goinâ on shawty?â Kaminari always uses humor to make you feel better, thatâs just what heâs good at. He can be serious too, but he likes putting a smile on your face before he gets all serious.
âItâs nothing, you were having fun with Kirishima, I donât want to interrupt.â And without meaning to, youâve spilled exactly why you were feeling so upset.
Kaminari stares at you with his wide golden eyes, shaking his head as he practically tackles you through your dorm-room door frame into a hug.
Wrapping his arms around you he hugs you close and smiles.
âI didnât ignore you! Kirishima just talks a lot.â Kaminari is quick to assume you were slightly jealous.
âI-I, no no youâre fine! Go have fun!â
âNo. Iâm staying with you.â Kaminariâs voice is a bit rougher this time, forcing the fact that he was going to spend time with you now.
After speaking he realized youâre crying. He quickly starts panicking, wondering if his stern âBakugouâ voice scared you.
âHey, hey! Why are you crying? Whatâs wrong?â Heâs rubbing your arms and trying to wipe your tears away as they flow from your eyes.
âI didnât want us to argue-I was just feeling weird and left-out and I-Iâm sorry for being so jealous over something so little and stupid, please donât be mad at me, I donât want to fight and bicker like my parents do.â You donât realize Kaminariâs expression softening at the mention of your fear, becoming like your parents.
âIâd never yell or argue with you over something like that. Itâs okay to feel jealous or hurt, just talk to me about it okay? I canât help you if I donât know how to. We can converse like this about things, it doesnât have to escalate.â Kaminari is soothing surprisingly. His touch is gentle even though it wanders.
Holding your hands is a nice feeling, and he enjoys holding them. Rubbing his thumb over your knuckles relaxes you as you lean in to rest your head on his chest.
âIâm sorry.âÂ
âDonât apologize. I love you.â Kaminari kisses the top of your head and hugs you tightly.
âHow about you pick out the movie this time! If itâs scary, you get the pleasure of cuddling into me!â Kaminari wiggles his brows.
âYou were the one terrified to turn the lights off last time.â You giggle, lifting your head to wipe your eyes.
âI donât remember that at all.â Kaminari teases, walking over to your bed to get comfy while you looked for a movie to watch.

Chapter 3
âHey buddy,â Spencer sat down in the chair next to Henry who was coloring at the table after dinner.
âHi Uncle Spencer,â Henry replied, switching his orange marker out for a green one.
âSo Josephine seemed pretty cool,â Spencer started.
He wanted to know more about his possible kid before going to Y/N. If it was true and she would let him meet her, he wanted to know all about her.
âYeah, she sits at the same table group as me in class. One time when we were playing tag at recess, I fell and hurt my knee but she kissed it three times and said thatâs what her Mommy does when she has a boo boo and it didnât hurt anymore,â Henry explained.
âDoes she talk about her Mommy a lot?â Spencer asked.
âShe loves her Mommy like sooooo much. She says her Mommy says she doesnât need a Daddy because her Mommy loves her extra,â Henry smiled.
âThatâs nice,â Spencer said, getting up from the table.
Spencer was glad to hear that Y/N and Josephine seemed to be having a good life. He was just saddened that it didnât include him even if she wasnât his kid. He didnât blame Y/N for not telling him if it was his. He honestly would have had no idea how he would have handled that news back then.
-
âAnd that is the difference between a stressor and a trigger. Any questions?â Spencer slid his hands into his pockets as he looked out into the audience.
The students were silent. Most of the girls appeared to be in a daze but still looking at him. Spencer furrowed his brow.
âOkay well then, I will see you next Monday. We will be covering chapter four section three of your textbook regarding victimology so I would suggest skimming it over before class,â Spencer finished.
He grabbed satchel from the desk and quickly exited the lecture hall. He had looked up the class schedules in the administration office and Y/N was also finishing a lecture at this time. Spencer was hoping to catch her before she could run away again.
He quietly slipped into the back of the lecture hall, taking a seat in the last row.
âOkay! That is it for today. Remember, we have a lab next class so closed toe shoes only and long hair tied back please. Have a great day, everyone,â you announced.
Students began to file out of the room, some coming up to your desk with questions so Spencer hung out in his seat a little longer. Once the last student had their question answered, Spencer got up and made his way to your desk as you were packing up your things. When you heard the footsteps, you looked up with a friendly smile that was immediately replaced with a grimace.
You grabbed your bag and keys and bolted. However, Spencer was expecting this and was hot on your tail.
âY/N, please slow down. I just want to talk,â he pleaded as he chased you across the campus, garnering funny looks from people passing by.
You sighed and halted your movement. Spencer was not expecting this so he almost crashed into you. You took a step back to regain your personal space.
You looked around, noticing some people were staring.
âLetâs go to the coffee shop on campus,â you suggested.
Spencer still remembered how you took your coffee after all these years and insisted on paying even though you told him that wasnât necessary.
You both sat down in a quiet booth in the corner. You were nervously fiddling with the coffee cup sleeve and avoiding eye contact.
âI-Is Josephine mine?â Spencer asked.
You could feel his eyes burrowing into your skull. You couldnât lie to him, I mean you could but you wouldnât get away with it because he was a profiler.
You finally looked up and made eye contact, âYes, she is,â you stated.
Spencer smiled softly with tears brimming his eyes.
âDid you know before I Ieft?â Spencer sniffled.
âNo, I found out after,â you responded.
Silence fell over the both of you.
âWhy did you break up with me, Spencer? It all happened so fast that I never got a reason. We could have made long-distance work if you actually cared,â you spoke softly.
âY/N please do not doubt that I cared about you. I loved you, I think I still do after all these years. I just thought you would be better off without me holding you back and not having a lot of personal time to visit you. It doesnât mean I ever stopped thinking about you. I just thought you deserved someone better,â Spencer explained.
âYeah well no one wanted to date the single mom in college. Guys would run for the hills when I told them,â you chucked sardonically.
âIâm sorryâ is all Spencer could manage to say.
He thought he was doing Y/N a favor by breaking up with her but instead he made everything worse. He abandoned her to figure out how to take care of their child on her own.
âCan I-um...I would love to get to know her more,â Spencer stuttered.
âSpencer, I donât know if thatâs the best-â you started to say.
âPlease,â Spencer begged.
You closed your eyes and exhaled.
âYou can come with me to pick her up from the school if you want. You can play with her for an hour with my supervision. Under no circumstances are you to tell her that you are her father,â you demanded.
âUnderstood,â Spencer nodded.
You finished the last sip of your coffee and slid out of the booth, tossing it in the trash can.
âLetâs go,â you motioned for him to follow you.
Spencer scrambled out of his seat to catch up with you.
You unlocked the car and you both hopped in. Spencer noticed the backseat of your car had random toys and articles of childrenâs clothing scattered around and he smiled at just the thought that they belonged to his daughter.
When you pulled into the school parking lot, you turned to speak to him for the first time since he entered the car.
âYou stay here,â you said as you turned the car off.
Spencer watched as you approached the line of kids and a genuine smile grew on your face. Josephine ran over to you and was immediately scooped up and littered in kisses. Josephine was dressed in overalls with a dinosaur sweater and a mini pair of converse. Y/N whispered something in her ear and she nodded as they made their way back to the car.
âJo, you remember Spencer, Henryâs friend?â you opened the car door.
âHi Josephine!â Spencer greeted.
Jo snuggled herself closer into your neck.
âWhy are you being shy today, Baby J? Remember you already met him? He told you all those cool dino facts. Maybe he can tell you some more on the way home,â you bounced the child in your arms a few times before gently placing her into the car seat and buckling her in.
âJosephine, I remember you said stegosauruses were your favorite. Stegosaurus actually means âroofed lizardâ and their brains were the size of ping pong balls,â Spencer was looking at the child through the rearview mirror.
He heard the sweetest little giggle. The sound was music to his ears.
âMommy, did you hear that? They have ping pong balls for brains,â Jo laughed.
âYes, baby, I heard but I think Spencer said they were the size of ping pong balls, not actual ping pong balls,â you smiled as you corrected her.
Spencer turned around to face her now that Jo was feeling more comfortable.
âThey also weighed about two tons which is about the same weight as this car,â Spencer smiled.
âWoah,â Jo exclaimed in awe.
âOkay! Weâre home! Jo, you can play with Spencer for a little but then we have to do your ABCâs homework,â you explained as you parked the car in your driveway.
You lived in a small grayish blue house. It had a tiny gated backyard but you usually just took Jo to the park anyways. It was enough for the two of you. You moved in last year after accepting the job at Georgetown.
You unbuckled Jo and unlocked the front door with Spencer awkwardly standing behind you until he felt a tug on his sleeve.
âI want to show you my room,â Jo said.
âSure! I would love to see it,â Spencer replied as he was tugged by Jo up the stairs.
Spencer laughed when he saw Joâs bedroom. It was decked out in everything dinosaur. Dinosaur wallpaper, bed sheets, toys, and a carpet.
âYou really love dinos, donât you?â Spencer smiled.
Jo nodded, beaming as she seemed to be very proud of her room.
âJo, Iâve got a snack for you,â Y/N called out from downstairs.
The little kid lit up even more and ran down the stairs, leaving Spencer alone in the room. He saw a small little bookshelf with picture books, mostly about dinosaurs. It was nice to know his daughter shared his love of reading.
âYou have a lovely home,â Spencer complimented as he entered the kitchen.
âThank you, I donât know if you want some apple slices and peanut butter too. I would offer you something else but I havenât had time to go grocery shopping this week,â you explained.
âItâs all good. If you ever need help-â Spencer began.
âWeâre quite alright,â you snapped.
A silence fell over the room, even Jo picked up on it and stopped the loud chewing of her apple.
âIâm sorry,â you sigh, patting the top of Joâs head to tell her she could continue eating, âWeâve been on our own for so long that I can sometimes get a little defensive when someone suggests I canât handle it.â
âI wasnât suggesting that at all. I think you have done a wonderful job raising Josephine. But, I also had a single mom so I know that sometimes there just arenât enough hours in the day,â he replied.
âThank you,â is all you said.
Spencer glanced at his watch, âI should get going. My hour is up. If itâs okay with you, I would love to come over again sometime,â Spencer said.
âLeave your number and Iâll text you,â you replied, handing him a scrap piece of paper and a pen.
âBye Josephine!â Spencer smiled at the kid who had peanut butter smeared all over her face.
âEw, Jo! Did you get any in your mouth?â you laughed.
âBye Spencer!â she attempted to wave to him as you were wiping her face and hands with a damp paper towel.

Itâs Always The Quiet Ones... | college AU dark!Peter Parker x (slightly)naive!reader
for @nsfwsebbieâââs dream fic challenge, I was assigned to write something for @harryspetââ which was vv exciting bc I love her stuff ;-; no pressure right? lol (also thank you to @evnscvllââ for being my proofreader, sounding board, and partner for some very strange texting for the purpose of screenshots!)
Here is the prompt I got: peter is a dork and is weird and quiet, and the readers friends dared her to sleep with him. turns out he was really kinky and is really good at sex. can be dark. And hoo boy, did I run with that. I hope you like it!!
Word Count: 4.4k
Warnings: smut (itâs consensual but with dubcon undertones, manipulation, and implied coercion/dubcon at the end), stalking, blackmail, voyeurism, and general creepiness. Oh yeah and thereâs some degradation and dacryphilia in there for good measure.
You and your friends were in the middle of your daily cafeteria lunch, chatting about the same sorts of small talk you always did. Â
âOh god, itâs that weird guy from class!â Jackie blurted out suddenly around a mouthful of fries, pulling you out of the conversation youâd been having. Everyone at the table whipped around and your eyes went wide.Â
âCome on, donât look all at once,â you hissed. Â
âWho is this guy?â Cody asked, looking around with confusion.
âThe guy in the blue hoodie over there,â Jackie answered, motioning toward him with her head. It was Peter, setting down his tray of food and opening up his laptop, putting earbuds in. He was pretty much always on his laptop, it seemed like. He took a bite of his pizza before getting back to whatever he was working on.
âHe looks normal, or normal-ish,â Mia shrugged. Â
âNo, no, you donât get it,â you shook your head. âWe have him in Computational Physics on Tuesdays and Thursdays--â
âPlus Friday lab,â Jackie interjected.
â--and heâs⊠kindaâŠâ
âCreepy,â Jackie concluded.
âNo,â you denied, ânot creepy. Heâs just⊠a bit awkward, I guess.â
âAnd he stares at you, like, the entire time weâre in class. But wonât even talk to you.â
âOh, thatâs weird,â Mia agreed with a shudder.
âI donât know,â you shrugged, âitâs kinda⊠sweet, maybe? I mean, heâs just shy, right?â
âOh my god you are such a slag!â Jackie teased, shoving you on the shoulder. âYouâre into him, arenât you?â
âNo!â you denied with wide eyes. Â
âYouâre just into the attention,â Cody rolled his eyes.
âI mean, itâs kind of flattering, isnât it?â you admitted. Jackie laughed.
âYou should go over there and talk to him,â she decided.
âNooooooooo, no way,â you shake your head.
âI kinda wanna see this,â Cody smirks.
âLiterally just go over there and flirt with him, his head would explode,â Jackie suggested excitedly.
âI donât even know how to flirt,â you chuckled.
âSo youâre considering it!â Mia accused.
âI didnât say that!â you squeaked.
âPleeeeeease,â Jackie whined playfully. âItâll be funny.â
âI donât usually sleep with people for comedic effect.â
âIâll chip in $20 if you do it,â she offered immediately. She turned to the rest of the table, âcome on guys, we need to pool together and make her do it.â
âIâve only got a ten,â Cody mumbled, pulling it out slowly before Jackie snatched it away.
âOkay, $30, who can make it $50?â
âJackie, calm down,â you hissed.
âYouâre telling me you wouldnât sleep with him for $50? Heâs cute!â
âI have $35 and 67 cents,â Mia counted, shuffling through her wallet.
âOh my god,â you groaned, your head falling into your hands.
âJust do it, for me,â Jackie said, suddenly sounding oddly serious. You didnât understand why it mattered so much, but you decided it couldnât be that bad if you just did it.
âFine, fine, just shut up and donât stare at us,â you instructed, getting up to a ruckus of cheers. You didnât even take the money.
You walked across the cafeteria, messenger bag slung over your shoulder, and hoped you wouldnât totally make an idiot of yourself. If you hadnât already just by talking to a guy over a dare.
He didnât seem to notice you when you stood by his table, still focusing on his computer.
âUm, hey,â you waved, and Peter looked up at you as he took out his earbuds.
âHi,â he replied quickly.
âWhat⊠what are you working on?â you asked, motioning to the laptop. He didnât stop looking at you, and he didnât say anything. âI⊠we have comp together? You know who I am, right?â
âO-of course I do!â he suddenly perked up. âYeah, I justâŠâ he trailed off and turned to his laptop. âI was just working on this model.â
âCan I take a look?âÂ
He smiled a little, and moved his backpack out of the seat next to him. âGo ahead!â
You sat down and leaned in to look at his screen. Â
âItâs-- itâs not finished but, basically I just put the kinetic energy of an object on the x-axis, the potential energy on the y-axis--âÂ
You used the laptopâs touch screen to move the model around, impressed with his work. âAnd the z-axis is the conservation of energy for work done on an object,â you finished. Â
âUh, yeah, exactly,â he nodded.
âItâs beautiful!â you realized, appreciating the variety of colors as each data point was suspended in the graph. Â
âDo you do any modeling?â he asked you, and for a hot second it felt like a line.
âUm,â you laughed, âno, not much at least. Nothing extracurricular.â
âOh.â
âIâm more into abstract math, if Iâm being honest.â
He smiled. âOh, youâre one of those.â
You laughed, shoving him on the shoulder playfully, but regretting it as you saw his smile drop a bit. âPeople are so judgmental about abstract math, as if it isnât the study of the founding principles of mathematics.â
âSo you think adding a pineapple and a banana is the foundation of mathematics?â he quirked an eyebrow.
âOkay, thereâs so much more to abstract mathematics than weird variables,â you frowned. âLike basic functions on matrices! Donât act like it isnât dope as fuck to add, subtract, multiply and divide matrices. If you saw my whiteboard in my dorm you would understand.â
âIf I had a whiteboard now I could prove to you that abstract math is overrated,â he countered.
âIâd love to see you try,â you scoffed. You hadnât really meant it literally. Â
âI donât have anything for the rest of the day,â he shrugged. It took you a moment to realize he was suggesting to actually come to your room and talk about math. You werenât sure if that was even what would happen if you went back to your dormâŠ
You opened your mouth to say that you were busy, that you couldnât, that you shouldnât, so you were a little surprised when you heard yourself say âsureâ instead.
And that was how you ended up sitting on your kitchen counter with Peter Parker between your legs, kissing you like youâd never been kissed before.
It sort of happened all at once. He just grabbed you and you were confused but went with it, because life is short and he was cute and his hands felt unexpectedly wonderful as they gripped your back.
You gasped a bit when he started to pull your shirt over your head but he didnât slow down, quickly removing his own-- oh, hello there six-pack, nice to meet you-- kissing you again as he wrapped his hands around your waist and slid you off the counter, guiding your legs to wrap around his hips. He carried you to the bedroom with unexpected grace; he was so much stronger than he looked. And he looked different than he ever had before as he tossed you down onto your bed and started to kiss his way down your abdomen while his fingers slipped under the waistband of your shorts.
âOh god, Peter!â you yelped as he kissed along your thighs, pulling down your shorts and underwear and tossing them to the side.
âSay my name again,â he demanded before instantly latching onto your clit, sucking and licking directly onto the bundle of nerves.
And you really had no choice in the matter, his name pouring from your lips over and over, accentuated with a yelp as he shoved two fingers into you, finding and massaging your g-spot before you could even process everything you were feeling.
âOh my god, fuck, Peter!â you hissed, your head falling back onto the mattress so hard it bounced a little.
You were barreling towards an orgasm faster than you probably ever had before. This was nothing like the few other hook-ups youâd had since starting college-- it wasnât even like the times youâd been alone with your hand or a vibrator. This was like an assault on the senses, so powerful that you couldnât even really keep track of the sounds you were making or anything that wasnât his mouth on you and his fingers in you.
âIâm gonna come, oh my god, Iâm gonna come donât stop please--â you moaned as your words turned into mostly incoherent nonsense. How could you be expected to form a sentence in these conditions?
Thankfully, he didnât stop. He kept lapping at your clit as if he hadnât even noticed your pleading, his fingers twisting inside you even as your walls clenched so tightly around them that it became difficult to keep up the pace. Your hips involuntarily bucked against his face, your legs quivered as he refused to give you any reprieve from the sensation, but he kept going.
âOh fuck, fuckfuckfuck Peter I canât-- itâs too much-- oh god,â you babbled, but it fell on deaf ears. A small part of your brain was confused why he wouldnât stop-- you hadnât told him outright to stop but it was kind of implied, right? Wasnât it some amount of not okay that he was still going? It made your gut sink in a way that was equal parts disturbing and erotic. Â
You were trying to pull away but his arms wrapped around your thighs and held you down. God, he was strong. He looked kind of skinny in those hoodies he was usually wearing, but now that he was actually exerting some force he was clearly muscular. You felt helpless and it, oddly enough, turned you on.
âPeter, please, oh my god, slow down I-- I canât take any more,â you whimpered; your voice came out all high-pitched and squeaky and it wouldâve been embarrassing if you had enough brainpower left to care. Â
He groaned against your skin but said nothing, using his teeth to lightly graze your clit. Your whole body jerked at that, a sob tearing from your lips suddenly. It felt like you were past the point of orgasm now and just lost in some sort of aggressively intense world of pleasure-- it neared pain, really. You had never been pushed to your limits like this; you hadnât even realized that there were limits which one could be pushed to this way! It was exhilarating and exhausting and overwhelming. You fought tears from forming because it would be so embarrassing to cry right now, and he would probably freak out and think you were hurt or something⊠maybe you were hurt, you couldnât even tell at this point. But at this point, it was unstoppable. You were fucking crying from the overstimulation and he hadnât even put his cock in you yet. Your face was so hot that your own tears felt cool as they poured down your cheeks.
Finally, he stopped when he heard your sobs. But instead of concern or fear or confusion, his expression was simply joy.
âOh, you look so cute when you cry,â he cooed, sliding back up your body to kiss your tears away as they fell. Then he kissed your mouth, open and sloppy and aggressive, and the taste of yourself on his tongue made your head spin.
Before you could collect your thoughts, he pulled back and made quick work of his jeans and boxers-- fuck, he was big. Â
âYouâre too kind,â he grinned, discarding the clothes and stroking his cock a few times.
You hadnât realized you had said it out loud, and you felt a little nervous but then he was on you again, kissing you roughly and forcing his tongue into your mouth. You felt him reaching down, gripping his cock and rubbing it through your folds. You were soaked, and swollen, and nearly sore. Every time the tip slid over your clit, you jumped a little.
He pushed into you ever so slightly, moving the head of his cock inside you and nothing more. You whined with confusion and anticipation, but he continued on teasing you.
âPlease,â you whimpered into his kiss.
He pulled back and looked down at you, his eyes blown so wide that they looked like theyâd gone black. âWhat was that?â he asked, and you sighed because you knew he could hear you the first time.
âPlease, Peter,â you repeated, louder, âI need more.â
âMoreâŠ?â
You sobbed with frustration, and desire. âFuck me, please.â
He thrusted forward and you groaned as his cock stretched you open. It was like night and day, how he went from slowly teasing you to slamming into your eager walls. You cried out and gripped at his arms, just trying to steady yourself and maybe stop your skull from whacking the headboard if possible.
âYou love it, donât you? You love my cock,â he growled. His voice was lower, gravelly. He sounded like an entirely different person.
âYes,â you replied weakly.
âSay it,â he demanded.
No one had ever talked to you like this before and it made your cheeks burn. âI-- I love your cock,â you stammered. Â
He smiled and you hoped youâd done it right, and that he wasnât smiling at your obvious nervousness or lack of experience. You didnât understand how this was normally supposed to go, because you didnât normally hook up with people so casually-- you had just never really been interested in it. But now that he was fucking you so hard you could barely breathe, you were starting to get the appeal. God, your last boyfriend hadnât even made you come in five months of dating, meanwhile five minutes with Peter had made you a sobbing mess. Even now you were biting your lip to hold back your tears from the sheer intensity of the sensations you were experiencing.
âOh, you poor thing,â he pouted condescendingly. âYou donât wanna cry but you canât help it, huh? Youâre my dumb little crybaby arenât you?â
You tried not to react to that but you knew he felt your walls clench suddenly.
âYou like that? You like being my stupid whore?â
âS-stop,â you begged weakly, feeling beyond humiliated.
âBut you like it, angel, I can tell. Donât lie to me.â
He reached down to swirl his thumb over your clit, laughing at the way you tensed up and tried to squirm away.
âIs it too much princess?â he asked, but the nickname read less sweet and more mocking. âIsnât this what you wanted? You asked me to fuck you. Begged me. Now you act like you canât take it, like youâre this delicate little flower and not the dirty fucking whore I know you are.â
âI-- Iâm not a whore,â you denied even as you struggled to suppress your obvious arousal from the derogatory nature of his words. You felt a little guilty for being into it, and slightly insulted, but fuck if it didnât make your back arch and your throat dry and your pussy so excessively wet.
âOh, donât play dumb,â he scoffed. âBut, maybe youâre not playing. You really are dumb, arenât you?â
You logically knew that it was too late to deny anything he said, but you still clung onto your dignity as best you could. âN-no!â
âNot all the time, just when youâre wet. Isnât that right? You get so desperate for cock and you donât wanna be smart, you just wanna be somebodyâs brainless fuckdoll.â
That sounded so appealing in some forbidden, filthy way and all of a sudden you were going to come again, any second now.
âYes!â you nearly screamed, falling into your pleasure.
âCome on my cock, baby,â he encouraged, âcome for me.â
You didnât even sound like yourself with the noises you made, or maybe it was just that youâd never had the chance to make noises like that before. Either way, your orgasm crashed through you and nearly punched the air out of your lungs. Your toes went numb. You didnât even know that could happen. And most important of all, your walls tensed and fluttered so hard that he began moaning into your ear.
âFuck, âm gonna come inside you.â You couldnât tell if it was a warning, like he was asking permission, or if he was just informing you of his intentions which you would be powerless to stop even if you told him not to. You didnât have to find out because you were on the pill, but it made you realize all too suddenly that you shouldâve had him put on a condom-- how could you have forgotten?
His moans turned hoarse and with a growl and a tightened grip on your hips, he spilled deep in you, coating your walls as his length flexed and twitched inside you. For a moment you were just stuck like that, his weight holding you down as he caught his breath, and finally he rolled to the side and you could breathe cool air again.
âThat wasâŠâ he began but trailed off, pulling you closer and kissing your shoulder. âYouâre amazing.â
It was quite the shift from how he had been talking before. It was comforting, but you were still a little confused. âReally?â
He laughed softly. âDid you not notice? God, Iâve wanted you for so longâŠâ
You were curious about where he was going with that, but then he suddenly sat up.
âDo you want some water?â he offered.
âUh, yeah,â you smiled. âThe cups are in the cabinet just to the left of the microwave.â
He nodded and gave you a quick peck on the cheek before sliding out of the bed, slipping his boxers on over his still-hard cock which was now coated in your come and his, and dashing out of the room.
You were mostly content to just lay there, although you felt uncharacteristically sore between your legs, and quite⊠sticky. You glanced over to your whiteboard and realized he never had any intentions of talking with you about abstract math. Was this just a one-time thing, or was he going to come back and ask you out? Were you boyfriend and girlfriend now? Or were you just a clueless romantic who thought that sleeping together meant more than it really did?
You rolled over and saw Peterâs phone resting on the bedside table. He must have set it there when he was stripping quickly while you two had been making out-- or thatâs what you were pretty sure the order of events had been, it had all happened so fastâŠ
At that exact moment, the screen lit up with a notification. You were about to roll back and not look at all, until you got a glimpse of the words.
PHYS 507, row 3, seat 14
You furrowed your brow. It looked like an alert for an upcoming class, except that this was your class, the one you had with him, and it wasnât until tomorrow. No assignments due today, either. And what was with the row/seat thing? Peter didnât sit in the third row⊠you did.
You picked up the phone just enough to angle it to see the rest of the notification. It wasnât a calendar alert; it was a text message. âPHYS 507, row 3, seat 14â was the contact name. You could only get a preview of the messageâŠ
okay, itâs done isnât it? can you please delete those picâŠ.
You were curious, or maybe just concerned. Was the seat number supposed to be the person texting him? How were you supposed to keep track of who sat where to know who it was?
It had to be somebody from your row, but it was just you, Jackie, and a bunch of random dudes that Peter had never seemed to have any interaction with.
You assumed you wouldnât be able to unlock the phone to even try to snoop, which you didnât want to do anyways, but when you slid your thumb over the screen, you gasped when it opened straight to the conversation. Who didnât put a password on their phone?
okay, itâs done isnât it? can you please delete those pictures now? I did what you asked. I wonât tell anyone. just send me proof that the photos are gone, please.
You felt a little sick. You had no idea what this meant but it scared you. You saw the conversation from before but it didnât make any sense. You scrolled back up to try to figure out what they were talking about and gasped when you saw a picture Peter had sent to the contact.
It was Jackie. But she wasnât alone. She was on her knees in the lab room, and you gagged when you realized what she was doing-- or really, who she was doing it to. Â
Sheâd told you she had a casual thing with a new guy but refused to say who it was. You realized why now. She was fucking your professor, and you just knew she was doing it to get a better grade. You had been trying to figure out how she was earning higher marks than you but never seemed to be able to discuss the class material. It all made sense now, but it wasnât a comforting feeling.
You scrolled down a bit to see the conversation after the photo, and your blood went cold as you read it.
You saw several more messages but you couldnât bring yourself to read any of it. You knew everything you needed to know.
You werenât sure what inspired you to open his camera roll⊠of course you wouldnât find anything comforting there. But you had to see for yourself.
It was just a list of folders, so many you could keep scrolling for ages. Each had a label and a thumbnail image.
The thumbnail of Jackie on her knees jumped out first. PHYS 507, row 3, seat 14. 45 images.
A girl in a lacy bra posing for the camera. PHYS 509, row 1, seat 8. 12 images.
Two girls making out in a crowded room, holding red solo cups. ENGL 104, row 12, seat 5. 6 images.
A nude selfie in front of a mirror. PHIL 108, row 2, seat 2. 14 images.
And then the one that made your heart stop. It was a picture of you in a bikini, taken by a friend on spring break. PHYS 507, row 3, seat 13. 1 image.
The second you jumped up, dropping the phone, he was there with your promised glass of water in hand. Â
âWhatâs wrong?â he asked innocently. Just a second of silence was enough for him to pick up his phone from the floor and realize what had happened with a grin. âOh, that,â he sighed, slipping it into his pocket after looking down at it with a sort of loving look, like he was proud of his work. âI suppose itâs my fault for leaving my phone right there, without a password, knowing I would get a text from Jackie any minute.â
âYou wanted me to see it,â you grimaced, âyou wanted me to see what you did to my friend. What you did to all those girls.â
âI didnât do anything. They do all the heavy lifting, I just hack them and get pictures of it. Or, in your friendâs case, I hack them, find out theyâre fucking the professor, and follow them to their next rendezvous.â
âYouâre fucking sick,â you spat, and he just shrugged. âYouâd better delete those photos of Jackie.â
âI will, donât worry,â he soothed. âItâs a shame though, she was pretty prolific. You, on the other hand, youâre a good girl. You even had pretty good security, I respect that. Hereâs a tip: your ISP creates the intranet that your wireless webcam uses to connect to your laptop. Itâs password protected, but it defaults to your phone number, and most people never change it. Including yourself.â
You shivered. âYou watched me with it, didnât you?â
âWell, I had to since you didnât have any good photos of yourself. And you do a decent job of erasing your porn history⊠but not a perfect job. You watch some interesting stuff. And you look so hot with your hand stuffed in your panties, rubbing yourself to whatever nasty shit youâre watching...â
âShut up,â you demanded, covering your ears, âstop, please. This is so fucked up.â
He laughed a little. âYou look better in person though. A webcam could never capture how perfect you look when you come.â
âPlease just stop,â you sobbed.
âStop what? Iâm just telling you the truth.â
âI shouldâve listened to my friends. Youâre a freak.â
âHmm, you seemed to like it before.â
âJust delete those pictures of Jackie⊠and let me goâŠâ you seethed.
âI will,â he promised. âBut, I need something to make up for the loss of some great spank bank material.â
You felt sick. But what else was new?
âI need to finally get some good pictures of you. Come on, isnât it sad that your folder is so empty?â he pouted, pulling the phone back out from his pocket. âI could ruin a lot of lives with these folders. Just let me take a few photos and you can spare them all the humiliation. Nothing I havenât seen you do before.â
You really really wanted to just deck him, but you knew he could probably release those photos with just one push of a button. He was prepared.
âDonât post them,â you pleaded.
âYouâll be good?â
You clenched your jaw. âIâll be good,â you answered through your teeth.
âOh, look at you,â he cooed, âsuch a sweet girl you are. Helping out your friend even after she threw you into the lionâs den to protect her secret.â
You hadnât thought about it that way. A pit formed in your stomach.
âNow come over here and get on your knees,â he grinned, turning on the camera.   Â

omg omg i know matthews birthday isnt for a couple weeks but i would die for a bday sex one shot omg
i made you wait so long for this i'm so sorry omg. one-shots usually take me longer bc i want them to be detailed!
summary: reader has plans for Matthewâs 41st birthday, but things take their own turn.Â
content warnings: unprotected penetrative sex, oral (male receiving), degradation, Soft!Dom Matthew with some fluff, too; fingering, creampie, implied age gap.Â
pairing: Fem!Reader/Matthew
word count: 4.3k
masterlist
I haul the enormous bag of flour onto the counter, grunting. it's early afternoon, and my day has been spent wrapping all of Matthew's gifts and trying to plan out the perfect birthday celebration. he's turning 41, and all I want is for him to feel as special as he feels to me. the cake is the last piece of the puzzle, and I'm hoping that my less-than-excellent culinary skills improve over the course of the next few hours.
I set out all the ingredients first, swaying to my music while I go through the recipe and decide how much I need. it shouldn't be too complicated, right? just chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. I thought I'd try to recreate the Rumple Buttercup cartoon with it, but now I'm not so sure. that might be flirting with disaster.
instead of deciding right there, I just get started on the batter. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
the air is thick with sweetness and warmth as the oven slowly pre-heats and I stir together the silky smooth chocolate batter. I pour the mix into a round baking pan, tapping it a bit to make sure it's even, before pushing it into the oven. naturally, I lick the whisk clean.
my phone buzzes in my pocket and I pull it out to see that Matthew's texted me.
on my way home now!
my heart stutters in my chest as I check the time. he's definitely early; he told me this morning that he wouldn't be at home until at least seven. my eyes flicker to the cake, over the messy kitchen, and back to my screen.
early?
yep. can't wait to see you. followed by a series of heart emojis. I start to panic a little. this throws my whole schedule off; I was going to do my hair, pick up food from his favorite restaurant, set the table, litter the bed with rose petals. I wanted everything to be just right for him; it's the first time he's had a birthday with me.
and now he's going to come home to me with flour-dusted cheeks and a half-baked cake. I quickly clean the kitchen and wipe my face before running off to the bedroom, rifling through my closet for something nice. thank god I already showered this morning because there's no way I'd have time now. I find the dress I'd planned to wear, red and slinky and pretty, before dropping my clothes and changing right away.
truly, I move at the speed of light when I do my hair, scatter the rose petals, and call the restaurant to get our order started. we'll need to run out and get it, but Matthew likes going for walks, so that shouldn't be a problem.
the smell of chocolate wafts through the house while I tie an apron around my waist and get a bowl out of the cabinets. the cake needs to cool for a while, but I might as well get started on the frosting. who knows how long that'll take?
too damn long, apparently.
Matthew opens the front door while I'm halfway through my crumb coat, the soft green shade of the Rumple Buttercup colors coming along nicely. I start to panic a little when I hear his footsteps on the stairs.
"Y/N!" he calls out.
"kitchen!" I respond without moving. he probably shouldn't see the cake, but at this point it's too late. there's fluffy buttercream frosting and food coloring all over my apron. all I can do is wait patiently as he strolls into the room.
"what are you up to?" he sets his hand on my back, smiling.
"making your cake, birthday boy."
"mmm." he wraps a hand around my arm, drags it down while leaning his chin on my shoulder. "looks really nice so far."
"you like the color?" I ask.
"I do." he mumbles, starting to touch my waist. "what material is this?"
"silk."
"you know I love that." he squeezes my waist and I have to resist the blush spreading up my cheeks. he's affectionate right now, and I want to resist, but it's hard.
"what're you doing?" I question playfully in response to the drifting of his fingers down my thighs.
"I'm excited to see you."
"I'm excited to see you, too, but we have a strict schedule tonight."
Matthew groans and drops his head into the space between my neck and shoulder. his hands don't leave my hips.
"why?" he whines.
"because I want you to have the best birthday ever." I smooth off the top of the cake, sighing when he digs his fingernails into me. it feels heavenly, and the featherlight kisses he's leveling on my jaw are making me woozy.
"making me wait?" he brushes over my ass, squeezing the flesh lightly. "that's cruel."
I laugh a little and swipe my finger through the frosting.
"try this and tell me if I'm still cruel."
he grabs my hand in both of his, sliding my index into his mouth and licking it off of me. my jaw drops in surprise before he pulls away and drops it. it's unbelievably sexy.
"that is really good." he smiles, then kisses my cheek in an alarmingly innocent manner. he knows what he's doing. "don't be a tease, darling."
"you--" I stutter, trying to regain my concentration. it's futile at this point; it isn't until he moves away from my body that I'm able to keep working on the cake. he only glances with a knowing smirk, walking around the counter to sit across from me.
"how was your day?"
"my day was jam-packed with planning for a little ingrate's birthday." I joke.
"I'm not an ingrate." he protests. one look at his pout and I feel guilty for teasing. standing on tiptoes, I lean over the counter and plant a kiss on his mouth.
"you're right, I'm sorry," I sigh. "I just had a whole plan and when you came home early, I didn't have time for all of it."
"what can I do?" he offers immediately. I scowl.
"you're not gonna help me prepare your birthday celebration, silly."
"but I wanna make it easier."
"you wanna make it easier?" I ask, the corners of my lips quirking up. he nods enthusiastically and I hold his gaze. "I need to go pick up our dinner, so you can walk with me."
"ooh, yes!" he leaps up in an almost child-like manner, coming around to my side again. I nuzzle into his shoulder as I finish piping the face onto the cake. he snorts when he sees the completed project. "is that Rumple?"
"shut up, it looks so bad." I complain. my body leans into his in defeat. even though I tried, Rumple looks like he's been possessed and exorcised in one sitting: he's got crazy eyes and a lopsided face.
"no, it's beautiful," he pecks the top of my head. "he's supposed to look funny."
all I can do is turn around and hug him, giggling at the absolute monstrosity that I've created. he wraps his arms around me tightly and we start to sway a little.
"I feel like Victor Frankenstein." I laugh. he untangles our bodies to tilt my chin up and look at him.
"you're way cuter." he rubs my nose with his own. I'm smiling so big, it hurts. he makes me so unbelievably happy, I can't imagine not being by his side. Matthew is the best boyfriend in the world, and I really want everything to live up to his expectations.
our fingers thread together briefly before we get ready to go pick up our food.
...
"I am literally going to combust." I giggle, throwing my napkin onto the table. red wax drips down the sides of the candle between us, and Matthew's eyes are starry as he watches me talk.
"good?" he asks.
"amazing. how was yours?"
"could barely get it down." he gestures to the empty plate. I throw my head back and laugh more than I should. Matthew frowns. "what?"
"that's such a dad joke."
"really?" he laughs along with me until we're both just smiling brightly at each other. I don't want to step too far; we've been dating under a year, still. but I see myself with Matthew forever. we've already moved in together; I've never felt so strongly as I feel for him, and I think that he feels it, too. in our bones.
"yes, but I like dad jokes."
"come here." he holds his arms out and I get up from the table, walking over to sit on his lap. he shifts so I can be more comfortable, and I place both hands on my stomach.
"I have such a food baby right now."
"do you?" he sets one hand over the bump. I lean my head into his shoulder, curling up a little. he starts to rub my tummy gently, holding me close while we sit in a relative quiet. "I like it."
"mmm." I hum, wrapping my arms around his neck. although he could easily turn this sexual, he doesn't. we just linger, breathing and letting our food settle. I really am full; the chances of me falling asleep are higher than not.
I ask Matthew to tell me more about his day as I sit there, and the rumble of his voice in his chest is soothing. as the candle wax drips further and further down, I watch it with lethargic eyes. I've had a hard year-- Matthew's made it better. he can read me like a book, and he listens like I've got all the answers in the world. I love him. and when I head to the kitchen to slice the cake, he follows me with his arms around my waist. we move like two people who have been together a long time, like we can anticipate the next person's movement down to the flicker of their eye contact, down to their step.
"I can't believe you have room for dessert." I grab a knife from the drawer, along with some plates. Matthew kisses my head.
"I've got room for multiple desserts."
"was that a sexual allusion or are you actually hungry?" I turn briefly to gauge his behavior. if he hasn't had enough to eat, I'll feel horrible. but he leans down to my ear. it still sends a shiver down my spine.
"definitely sexual," he smirks, then retreats. "let's do this, though, first. I want a piece of Rumple's eyeball."
"just get out the candles so I can do this for you." I push him away. he heads to the cupboard and returns with the pack of candles that I begin to spear into the cake. I only put in ten because there's not room for forty-one, but he doesn't seem to mind as I light them up individually.
"go sit down! you weren't even supposed to come in here." I laugh as I lift the dish into my arms and shoo him into the other room. Matthew gives me a sidelong look, smiling for an unknown reason, before following my orders.
he pretends to look surprised when I bring the thing out to him, mouth making a pleased O shape.
"wow!" he cheers.
"make a wish, then, my love." I tell him. he inhales deeply, then blows out the candles. one or two stragglers remain, their flames flickering before he tries again and snuffs them out. I clap my hands.
"happy birthday, baby!"
he grins at me and starts to pluck the candles out of the cake. "you didn't sing to me." he says.
"trust me, that was a gift in itself." I laugh before picking up the knife. "how big a slice do you want?"
Matthew seems to think for a second on this, squinting as he examines the thing.
"big."
"alright then." I cut an enormous hunk out, making sure to get one of the maddened eyeballs on it before sliding it onto the plate and giving it to him. "enjoy."
"oh, I will." before I can move to sit across from him, he reaches out and pulls me into his lap. I let out a surprised noise, but settle in anyway on his thigh while I cut my own slice of cake. we eat together.
"it's actually pretty good." I'm impressed with myself. sure, it's not a super complicated recipe. but I still did well. Matthew wraps his arm around my waist, one hand holding his plate while the other digs the fork in.
"it's amazing." he nods through a mouthful of food.
"how's the eye?"
"how you'd expect a vitreous humor to taste." he jokes, laughing as I elbow him in the ribs. "ow!" he complains. I swipe some of the frosting off the top of his slice and tap it over his nose. he wrinkles it at the sensation.
"maybe I'll just leave." I move to get up, but he keeps me in place. his little smile, so determined in its happiness, makes my heart soften. for all of his teasing, he's weak for me, and I love it. when I lean down a little to lick the icing off, he blushes.
"when can I have you?" he asks quietly, one hand resting on the top of my bare thigh. it tightens around my skin, growing more aware of my presence in his lap. I bite my lip and mull this over, subtly draw the hem of my dress up a bit just to tease him.
"I'm thinking..." this time, he lets me get up. my fingers slide through his, dragging him with me. "now."
Matthew gets an excited grin on his face before I spin around and lead him to the bedroom. a couple candles are burning, filling the room with a deep, sensual smell that he inhales as he stops in his tracks.
"did you put rose petals on our bed?" he chuckles, staring at me with his eyebrows raised in an adoring expression. I run my palms up his chest, stopping below his shoulders. I poke my tongue between my teeth as I smile.
"yes, I did."
"very romantic."
"is it?" I lift an eyebrow. it takes everything in me not to pounce on him right then.
"consider me seduced."
"if you ever use that word again, I'm calling this off." I laugh. he silences it in a kiss, eagerly gathering my body up in his arms as he tilts his head to deepen it. a slight moan slips through me, pleased with the gentle, innocent pleasure he elicits. he's softer than velvet. when he crushes the silk of my dress in his fist, lifting it over my ass so he can touch me without barriers, he groans.
"did I pay for this?" he rolls the fabric between his fingers.
"mhmm." I hum.
"good." his breath hitches when the zipper comes down easily, the garment falling to the floor and leaving me in brand new black lingerie. his eyes move hungrily over my body, pupils dilating further as he takes in the curves of my figure.
"this is new."
I twist around a bit, showing him the back as well, his grip on my waist loosening only to allow me this movement. "you like it?"
he groans. "I love it."
I want to start undressing him, greedy for the sight of his naked body, but he reaches down and lifts me into his arms, my legs wrapping around him while he carries me to the floral-covered mattress. I sink into a rosy paradise, almost give into the alluring sensations he causes with his fingertips over my skin.
he's between my legs, teeth seeking out collarbone and the swell of my chest. it would be so, so easy to remain here, pinned down and allowing him to let loose on me. every deliberate shadow on my body is like a sunburst. but I can't.
I grab his shoulders and yank him down next to me. he peers at me with a smile, wondering what I've got in store. the answer is too loaded to fit into one sentence, so I watch him move up the bed until he's resting his head on the pillow, my legs moving to straddle him.
"taking control?" he questions. he knows I don't usually like to be on top. instead of replying, I reach behind me and undo the clasps of my bra, sliding it from my arms before tossing it somewhere else. his eyes widen and he goes to grab at my tits, but I'm too quick. I lean down, unbuttoning his shirt and drawing my nails over his chest as I lower myself to his pants.
Matthew is silent, open-mouthed at the red marks I leave behind on his smooth skin. it's intoxicating for me, too, and I work quickly to tug his bottoms down his legs, the boxers with them. when his dick is released, I let him struggle through a moment of no contact.
"let me touch you." he goes to stroke himself. my gaze flickers between the length he's now gripping in his hand and the needy look on his face. I want to fuck him right now. every cell in my body aches for him, for the pleasure that so violently rips through my veins when he's inside.
"not yet." I betray myself, and his hips buck into empty air when he sees my torso so close to his erection. when I drop my head and lick up the underside, he lets go of himself and allows me to tease him. I pause at the tip, then hold the base while I spit on it.
"shit!" he grunts as I start to swirl my tongue around him. his fingers run through my hair. "suck on it, baby."
all I do is moan, the vibration torturing him. I peek up through my lashes and see the veins in his neck throbbing while he resists the urge to fuck my mouth. I soften and lower my head slowly, inch by inch swallowing his cock. he hits the back of my throat. the slight gag that runs through me makes him sigh. it's then that I tap his hand as our signal to push my head down.
Matthew loses it. he starts to shove my mouth onto him, fucking it, one hand reaching behind him to grab the top of the headboard while he groans.
"choke on it... fuck." he moans. there are tears in my eyes from the pressure, but I keep looking at him the whole time. he's gorgeous, mouth dropped open in ecstasy while he goes between rolling his eyes into the back of his head and staring with an intense desire.
every time I gag, he lets out an unholy noise and gets excited all over again, his hips moving to meet my lips until he's on the edge of falling apart. his cock twitches and I moan, but he's not willing to finish.
"get over here so I can fuck you." his voice is borderline raspy as he forces himself to release my head. I sit up and wipe the spit from my mouth, crawling on top of him again to leave some of my favorite marks on his neck. he's mine. every bite stands to prove it, and his quick breaths let me know that he's not going to wait much longer.
his fingertips hook in the waistband of my panties and he pushes them down my thighs, purses his lips while he watches me shimmy out of them. it's wonderful, seeing the disarray in his face whenever he catches sight of my naked form. he never knows where to touch first, moving over my breasts to my waist and hips down to my legs. like he's trying to blend our bodies together by simply drinking me in.
I tense when he reaches out and sinks two fingers into me. I'm so wet, it takes almost no pressure.
"fucking soaked, huh?" he smirks. my hands steady themselves on his shoulders as he starts to pump in and out of me. I groan.
"get inside, please." I murmur nearly incoherently. he starts to go faster, his cock throbbing against his stomach. but he wants me to squirm and beg.
"oh, so you've got demands?" he teases. his fingers curl in my pussy, brushing over my special spot, and I almost gasp at the pleasure. "after making me wait?"
"I just--" I start to defend myself, but it's fruitless. he guides my face down to his, whispering in my ear.
"let me guess: you just wanted me to have a good birthday?"
"yes." a choked, desperate reply.
"let me show you what kind of present I want, then." he removes his fingers and lines himself up at my entrance, pushing me all the way down before sliding the pads of his digits into my mouth. I lick them clean while I moan. his cock is so deep inside me, I can barely breathe.
the combined pressures between my hips and on my tongue, make me give up on drawing this out. it feels so good, I couldn't stop myself if I wanted to. I rise up a bit and sink onto him again, his jaw clenched at the sensation. he lets me do this a couple times and then pauses my actions.
"get on your hands and knees." he orders. I lift myself obediently, whining slightly at the loss of contact, before he sits up and switches positions so that he's kneeling behind. I wait patiently for him to do what he wants with me. he doesn't disappoint.
softly, he pushes my head down so that my cheek rests against the pillow while he slides in from the back. it's a completely different angle and I can barely handle the way he works through the tightness, his moans louder this time.
"thought you could sit on it and I would just let you?" he chuckles darkly, pulling out and moving in. my breath rattles in my chest at the repeated, delicious intrusions. my eyelids flutter shut while he keeps talking to me in that commanding, low tone. "you're my little slut."
the moan that comes from my lips is pathetic, like a mewl. he plows into me and my face presses into the mattress.
"such a perfect little pussy," his hands lure my hips to him while he groans at the new depths he keeps finding. "so responsive for me."
"faster, Matthew." I whine. although he's not going slow, I need more. the slam of his body against mine, from this angle, creates just short of enough friction for my clit. he follows my request, however, and fucks me at an insatiable pace.
"you like that?" he grunts. I literally don't have the mobility to nod, so I shove my ass back instead to take more. he bucks. "you feel so fucking good."
I whimper and he starts to stimulate my clit by reaching around, lowering himself a bit to do so. he keeps his arm pressed to my stomach so he can feel the bulge of his cock sliding in and out of me. "good girl. take it."
my fingertips fist the sheets and I whine as my orgasm approaches. he switches the pattern of pressure, finding what makes me fall apart fastest. I'm on the edge, my mouth dropping open in a silent cry. my hips start to move on their own, working against his cock as I moan his name and tumble into the abyss.
"Matthew, right there-- fuck me, fuck me--" I moan. he rams his hips so hard, the headboard slams the wall and he groans.
"you're gonna make me break you, baby." he warns. I bite my lip so hard that I almost puncture the skin, feeling like a planetary collision is occurring within my lower stomach. I'm coming up on a second climax.
"break me, then." I dare.
Matthew wraps his arm around my chest and brings me up so that I'm leaning against his chest while he whispers in my ear. "defiant little whores don't get my cum."
"but--" I complain, hips wriggling for more while he thrusts into me.
"apologize or I'll stop fucking you right now." he slows just to demonstrate the torture of not being inside me. I grasp at his hips to coax him, but he's determined. I take a shaky breath at the smooth, slow movements.
"I'm sorry." I beg. he reaches down and starts to play with my bundle of nerves again. as much as he wants to make me crash, he loves the way this feels, too.
"mmm," he hums while laying sloppy kisses along my neck. "good thing I wanna fill you up for being so sweet today."
his thrusts are uncontrolled and needy, rapid pushes between my legs that cause me to start shaking all over again. he rubs my clit and moans in my ear, spilling.
"I love you so much." he mumbles. the hand holding me to him squeezes one of my tits while I arch my spine and enjoy the slowing pace of our bodies. I moan his name.
"I love you, too." I'm in awe of how he changes for me, his attitude shifts whenever we're in bed. it's cosmic, how we fit together. and his withdrawal from my body causes both of us to collapse onto the bed with exhaustion.
I can only suck in air for a while. my limbs are like lead, in the best way.
"that was hot." he mutters. I turn to him, admiring his beautiful features, and nod lazily.
"a successful birthday, then?"
"after that cake? yeah." he scoffs jokingly and I giggle before curling into him. he traces his fingertips down my skin. "do you wanna take a shower?"
"I'm so tired." I groan. Matthew glances at me.
"I'm the one who just turned forty-one."
"shut up."
"come on, then. let's get you cleaned up."
he rises from the mattress, bringing me with him. a few stray rose petals flutter onto the ground.

If youâre still doing the sentence prompts Iâd love to see either 46 or 9 with geraskier
Ooo nice choices! Since there were two requests for number 9, Iâll answer it on this one so that anon and @itiswhatis-andwhatitisisgay both get the alert. Keep a sharp eye, anon! Iâll do 46 for you next!
9. âDonât you ever do that again!â
WC: Â 1371
Jaskierâs Champion
Added a younger Ciri into the mix because my immediate thought was that the phrase sounded like an upset toddler crying. Decided Ciri was going to be Jaskierâs little bitty champion and come to defend him from her mean dad.
-
âIt isnât funny!â Ciri wailed, stomping her little foot in the snow. âIt isnât funny!â she repeated, pushing at Geraltâs legs as if her tiny arms had enough strength to move him. Her face was boiling red and streaked with tears, a bit of snot dribbling from her nose. Geralt tried to bend down to wipe it away, but she batted at his hands, crying out in rage, âNo, no no!â
âBut Ciriââ
âGo a-way!â she screeched. âIt isnât funny!â
When he tried reaching for her again, she picked up a handful of powdery snow and threw it at him. âGo! Right now!â
Jaskier put his hands on her shoulders. âNow, Ciri,â he entreated. âIt was only a little prank, and Geralt apologized already. Nobody was hurt. It was only a bit of funânothing but a playful tease. Perfectly harmless.â
âNo-o-o-o!â she cried once more, long and piercing. âWe donât want you!â
Geralt winced, looking at Jaskier with a desperate plea in his eyes.
Jaskier shrugged over the top of the hysteric tykeâs head. âShe may be no more than a baby, but she has the sense of justice of a morally-staunch old woman.â
He sneezed, startling Ciri, who turned to Geralt with a glare of pure scorn.
âBless him,â she demanded.
Geralt held his handkerchief out to Jaskier instead. âBless you,â he sighed obediently.
Ciri reached up on her tip-toes and snatched the handkerchief away, tossing it back at him. She pulled a little hanky of her own from her cloak and handed it to Jaskier in its place. Then, with a sniff, she turned and started pushing Jaskier toward the stables. âLetâs go,â she said, picking up her little knapsack. She struggled, dragging Jaskierâs pack once more through the snow. She made it another two feet from the inn door before she had to stop and catch her breath.
âCirilla, little cub, I really donât think this is necessary for a simpleââ
âIt is nec-ess-ar-y!â she insisted. âHe pushed you. He pushed you in and you got sick.â
Theyâd had a little play-fight in the snow four days ago, happy as a pack of puppies set loose to romp. Towards the end, Geralt had crept up behind Jaskier and pushed him into a snowbank, unaware of the duck pond that lay hidden beneath. Jaskier had come sputtering to the surface, soaked through, and it was a half hourâs walk back to the inn. Heâd caught a chill before they could get him warmed up, and for three days after, heâd been resigned to his bed.
Ciri had been frightened, asking over and over if Jaskier was going to dieâa question that, when first asked, had doubled Geralt over in laughter. Her little green eyes had been so huge and sincere. He just couldnât help himself. Ciri hadnât let him come near Jaskier since.
âIt isnât funny,â she mumbled again, as if she could see the memory playing over in Geraltâs mind. And perhaps she could. She had a touch of magic in her.
âIt isnât funny,â Geralt agreed. He knelt down to eye-level to speak with her. âAnd Iâm sorry I laughed. I would be very sad if anything should happen to Jaskier.â
Jaskier smiled at that, slightly smug. Oh would you now? he seemed to say.
Geralt glanced up at him with a look that told him to behave, then reached out to pick up Jaskierâs wet bag. She grunted at him, but he ignored her, heading towards the stables. He began to strap on Roachâs saddle and tied Jaskierâs bag to the side, speaking slowly as he did.
âSo youâve decided to leave me behind. Where are you going?â
âNot your business,â Ciri huffed, refusing to look at him.
Geralt hummed. He caught an anxious look from Jaskier, but simply reached out and took his lute case, tying it to the saddle next. âYour uncles will be waiting for you at home; they promised you plenty of presents for Yule this year. But Iâll be there too. Perhaps youâd rather go to Oxenfurt with Jaskier. There would be lots of parties in store for you, and the groundskeeperâs dog will be having her litter soon. Maybe theyâll give you a pup.â
Ciri frowned as Geralt took her knapsack and tied it with the rest. She hesitated a moment, then held her head up and said, âOxfurt.â
âThen youâll need coin for your travels.â He pulled a pouch from his belt and put it in her hands. âHere. This ought to be enough to put you up in a cozy room on the way. Make sure you donât walk too much. Jaskier still needs his rest. And feed him lots of soup, understand?â
Ciri looked between Geralt and the pouch. She turned to look up at Jaskier, too confused to remember her temper. When she turned back to Geralt, he had Roachâs reins in hand.
Geralt looked down at her and asked, âCan I come close enough to bid Jaskier goodbye?â
Ciri gripped the little purse tight in her hands. She looked between the two of them, the hint of a pout beginning to form on her lips. Her face was becoming red again as if she were trying very hard to hold something in.
So Geralt leaned over her head and gave Jaskier a kiss. Jaskier blinked in surprise as Geralt gave his face a cheeky pat, then Geralt was off, leaving Roachâs reins in his shocked hands. âGoodbye!â he called, pack slung over his shoulder. âTake good care of Jaskier for me, Ciri.â
Then Ciri was crying, chasing after him with a heartbroken wail.
âDonât go!â she sobbed, latching onto his leg.
Geralt tried to suppress a smile, hiking up his burdened leg to take one last performative step. âYou donât want me,â he said.
âNo!â she cried again, hugging his leg even tighter as the tears rolled down her face.
âYou do want me?â
âNo-o-o-o-ho-ho-o-oh!â
Despite her unintelligible responses, Geralt turned and dropped his bag, sitting on the frozen ground. The moment he was within reach, Ciri threw herself at him. She beat his chest with her tiny fists, then wrapped her arms around his neck, crying into his shoulder. He hugged her, wrapping her in his cloak to keep warm.
âDonât you ever do that again!â she shouted.
Geralt nodded. He pet her hair, shushing her gently. âI promise.â
âNo leaving! Ever!â
âWhat,â Jaskier asked, âwas that all about?â
He stood towering over Geralt with his hands on his hips. His face was flushed, far too flushed to blame on the cold, and he was looking at Geralt with his sternest no-nonsense expression.
Geralt smiled innocently. âI was doing as I was told. Seemed to work out well.â
âNot that,â Jaskier said. âThe wholeâ!â He gestured a circle around his face, then flicked his hands at Geralt, eyes landing on his lips. He cleared his throat and looked away, flapping his hand in an empty motion. âThat.â
âThe kiss?â Geralt asked.
Jaskier huffed. âYes, that.â
âHm.â
âOh-ho-ho, no! Donât you âhmâ me! We are talking about this one, Geralt.â
Geralt chuckled, offering Ciri his handkerchief. âCiri doesnât like when youâre sick,â he said.
âAnd?â
âAnd I donât like seeing you sick either.â
âBut what has that got to do withââ
Ciri wiped her eyes and tugged at Geraltâs cloak. âDid you kiss him better?â she asked.
âYes, princess,â Geralt replied. âHeâs all better now.â
âThen you can stay.â
Geralt picked Ciri up and put her in Roachâs saddle as the realization crept over Jaskier. He turned to take the reins back once more, winking at Jaskier. âUnless you think he needs another kiss, Ciri,â he added casually.
Jaskier scrambled after them, eyes lighting up with excitement. âI need aâ!â
âI need a kiss better,â she said, holding out her hands.
Geralt craned up and kissed her cheek before instructing her to hold on tight to the saddle horn. They were only two days away from Kaer Morhen. There would be plenty of time to kiss it all better once Ciri was in the care of Uncle Eskel and Uncle Lambert. They had all winter.

previously - and you can find part 3
Restoring a relationship of trust and regaining the bond that you both had was particularly difficult. You had to learn to find your place in Harrison's life, but also in his relationship with Grace. You were roommates and friends, but it was complicated to plan meetings with Harrison's busy schedule. Between his job search after the cancellation of his Netflix series, his photo shoots, his dates with Grace, those with his family. It was getting harder and harder to find a moment to reunite with the two of you. It was without counting your schedule.
You were supposed to meet at noon for lunch at that restaurant Harrison told you about where he took his mother earlier this year, for Mother's Day. You felt uncomfortable going to such a place. It was very fancy; you had taken a look at the menu and you knew in advance that you would not be able to afford to split the bill. That was sometimes one of the downsides of being friends with Tom and Harrison. They sometimes forgot that their salary was significantly higher than yours. After all, they were still simple, good-natured guys, never saying no to a quick takeout meal or ordering pizza, drinking a beer at the local pub. And sometimes, they offered to go to prestigious places, not paying attention to money, wanting to please their friends or family.
Currently you were in your room. You were throwing countless of clothes across the room, trying to choose what you could wear to this lunch. Harry stopped dead when one of your dresses flew out of your room, right in front of his nose, blocking his way. You had left your door open and your spontaneity got the better of your best friend.
âEasy, Tiger. I had no idea your clothes had the capacity of Dr. Strange's cape.â He joked before coming into your bedroom.
You turned to find Harry leaning against your doorframe, a smirk encrusted on his face. You gave him an unamused frown and his smile widened. This wasnât funny at all; you were stressed as hell. Itâs not like you still had feelings for Harrison and try to impress him â to be honest, you still had feeling for your friend, but not as intense as before, you had drawn a definitive line on the possibility of a romantic relationship with him, which had helped you a lot. â But you didnât want to be dressed down and looked like a clown.
âCome on Munchkin, itâs just a lunch. At worst, Harrison can still make it looks like he invited you out for charity, sort of âMake a Wishâ eventâ Harry joked, in his significant humor.
âGo to hell, Robert. Donât you have a pack bag to make, mister âIâm going to Spain to help my superstar brother to hold his tea while heâs filmingâ?â
âRude⊠Iâm a film director, nowâ
Not for that, you thought to yourself, but don't have the balls to tell your best friend. You didn't want to take this joke too far. You smiled at his cute pretending offended face. You pouted mockingly before biting your lip. You loved the dynamics of your relationship so much. Your humor, sarcasm, your outspokenness, that's what brought you together. Harry pulled you lightly from your closet with a comforting wink. He chose Yves Saint Laurent poppy red wool jersey flared pants that Tom gave you on your birthday. You smiled at his choice. You liked these pair of pants because they were sparkling with vitality, the color was flamboyant. Harry then gave you a satin pearl-colored shirt from Zara and you laughed at the drastic brand difference.
âOh I see. A classy look but no more than ÂŁ 1000 that's pretty smart,â you joked.
The choice of your outfit once again proved the reality of hanging out with wealthy people. You were not poor; you could even be grateful for the life you had had. But it would never occur to you to give your friends clothes that were going over the miles and cents. To be honest, you wanted it. You wanted to live up to the gifts your friends sometimes gave you. But the truth seemed quite different: you had cried over the price of a used Rolex you wanted to give Tom for his birthday. Even having saved for 6 months, you could not afford such a gift.
âShut up, donât be so dramatic. Wear that necklace Harrison gave you for Christmas. Iâm sure youâll look fineâ
âThank you,BazâŠI guess. â
You kissed his cheek and then invited him out of your room so you could get ready. It didn't take you more than thirty minutes, time to put on the outfit your best friend had chosen and to put on light makeup. When you were finally ready, you walked to Tom's room. He had offered to take you to the restaurant where you were to join Harrison. But when you got to his ajar door, you could hear the soft sound of a slight snoring. You let out a chuckle before ordering an Uber. You knew he had spent almost a full month in Los Angeles and hadn't returned until early last week. You wanted to leave him as much as possible alone so that he could rest before his trip to Spain for the reshoots of his film Uncharted. Tom was a boy who loved being in touch with those close to him, but you also felt his need to recharge his batteries. That's why you preferred to let him sleep.
You went down to the kitchen to pour yourself a glass of water before leaving. When your Uber arrived, you left a note on the refrigerator to let the boys know you were safely gone. It was little everyday things that made you look normal that you enjoy. A post-it on the fridge, a table organizing household chores had been drawn up. Note to yourself; It was Harrison's turn to take care of the laundry.
ââĄâ§
You had really hoped this was just a grotesque nightmare. That it wasn't real. He was going to arrive; he was just stuck into the traffic. Isn't it?
But you were there, waiting for over an hour and a half, without any news from your friend. Some people watched you with pity eyes, the others didn't give you any attention. You internally thank Harry for choosing your outfit. You didn't look like a lost kitten in this prestigious setting. It didn't prevent you from being ashamed right now. The waiter had urged you to order several times but you had told him that you were expecting someone, that he would arrive any minute. The last time, you didn't know if you were trying to convince him or yourself.
But it never happened. Harrison never came to your dinner. You were alone, sitting at a table, pathetically waiting for your friend to show up. It didn't look like him. He had never stand you up before. And not to improve this embarrassing moment, the waiter came to you again. This time, with a man in a suit. He was elegant, carried himself proud but diplomatic. They stopped at your table, a tight smile on their faces. No doubt the man in the suit was to be the manager.
"Miss, my employee told me that you seemed to have occupied this table for a while now. I am sorry to tell you that if you do not order a few things, you will have to leave the establishment"
You looked at him with misty eyes. You have never been so ashamed in your life. You just nod your head, not trusting your voice just yet. After taking a deep breath, you finally apologize to them before telling them that you are going to leave. The manager of the restaurant, out of politeness awkwardly apologizing for this uncomfortable situation.
You've finished the Dry Martini that you allowed yourself to, paying for it with whatever pride you have left. You pulled your cellphone out of your purse and decided to call one of the boys. After three rings, he picked up.
"Hey ... can you please pick me up?"
Your voice was shaky, you were so ashamed but it was less distressing than having to walk the Walk of Shame to your house or cry in an uber. You hung up and shared your location. You left the lobby, leaving the restaurant, standing in front of the entrance to the establishment. The air refreshed your cheeks burning with shame. Luckily it wasn't raining today. Which was pretty nice compared to that early summer you had had.
When you saw Harry's car pulled up in front of you, you slid into the passenger seat without a word. The curly redhead gave you a heartwarming smile but you definitely could see a spark of annoyance in his eyes. You sigh, resigned while shrugging your shoulders. It was obvious that your friendship with Harrison was still shaky.
"I'm sorry, love. He's a jerk about it."
Coincidentally, like a mitigating circumstance, your phone vibrated, receiving a notification from Harrison. You were chewing your lip with a sort of anguish and irritation, watching the message the blond had sent you.
"I'm sorry. So sorry. My agent called me for a pretty urgent casting briefing. She's detained me until now. Are you still okay for this dinner?"
You were angry. You were mature enough and had known the boys long enough to understand their obligations. The fact that Harrison had a lastminute meeting with his agent and missed your dinner wasn't a problem. The problem was, he made you wait for over an hour and a half before notifying you. You wanted him to call you to let you know, or a simple text just after he knew for the meeting. You typed a short answer, shorter than this was impossible. "No". You rested your head against the headrest, turning your gaze to your best friend.
"Hey, he's a Netflix star now" you replied to his last words.
Your voice cracked on the last syllables and your eyes filled with tears. You weren't usually that emotional but the anguish and shame really took over you. Harry noticed, unsure of how to instantly respond to your distress. He would have liked to stop on an emergency lane to take you in his arms but he already had 2 penalties to pay, respectively for speeding and prohibited parking ... a third fine would not be really welcome. He simply placed his hand on your thigh, drawing circles on your pants to comfort you. He simply moved his hand to shift gears and instantly rested it on your leg whenever he had the chance. This gesture soothed you, enjoying the touch, grateful to have someone as your best friend to mop up your pain.
ââĄâ§
Arriving at the apartment, no sign of Harrison. When you walked in the kitchen, you saw Tom sitting at the counter, scrolling his phone. He looked up at you, not directly noticing your annoyed expression.
"Wow..you're ... gorgeous. I love these pants on you"
You smiled, a little amused by the compliment. Of course he loved the pants, it was a gift from him. But your smile didnât reach your eyes. With a look on your expression then on the clock, the actor understood that something went wrong. Harry was right behind and still no trace of Harrison. It was suspicious. Tom gave you a worried look.
"Do I have to askâŠNever mind, Iâm still going to ask. How was lunch with Harrison?"
"I don't know, why don't you ask him? Oh wait... right, he didn't show up" you said sarcastically although you could hear the hurt in your voice.
Tom frowned, biting the inside of his lower lip in annoyance. Harrison was his best mate since forever and he knew him so well. It seemed strange from Harrison to not show up. The blond has told him he was happy to see you again and walking through this whole awkward âfeeling situationâ because he didnât want to lose you. In a quick movement, he rose from his stool to walk around the counter. The next second, he took you in his comforting arms and you finally let yourself go under the sight of the two Holland brothers.
âIt seems like you need a break of all this shitâ Tom said while he ran his fingers through your hair.
You let a little laugh escape through your tears. He wasn't wrong. You really needed to get away from this whole situation for a moment. But how? Harry watched the scene unsure of what to do. You were his best friend and it seemed like the solace you found was never in his arms. He had tried in the car, however, as best he could. He walked over to the counter to make you both a cup of tea. It seems that as cliché as it sounds, tea comforts you, as the English person you used to be. As the redhead waited patiently for the water to boil, a flash of genius - according to him - crossed the glare of his eyes.
âWhy doen't she come with us to Spain?â
His brother's words seemed to suit Tom, who released his hold on you. You opened your eyes wide, not sure of what you had just heard. Go to Spain, with them? Once again, you knew you were going to argue on this proposition. The idea was not bad, Spain seemed a rather pleasant country. But you had just graduated and had a student job to save as much as possible. However, you could not afford to leave for several days in Spain, at the last minute. Plus, what were you going to do while Tom was filming and Harry was assisting him? He was sure the film's production crew wasn't going to give you a pass because Tom had decided.
âYeah! Thatâs it, youâre coming with usâ
âTom, I have a student job. I canât justâŠdecide to go to Spain.â
âYou never take a leave, come on. Itâs not negotiableâ
You were looking at Harry for help but he just shrugged. After all, he was the one who had initiated the idea of ââincluding you on the trip. You were trying to find a valid excuse to stay home. You really didn't want to impose yourself.
âI canât afford thatâ you said, trying your best to convince him to quit the idea.
âI donât care, itâs not even a problem. You coming to Spain with us.â
"Omg, does Z dominate you in bed to make you so bossy in life?"
Harry almost spitted his tea and laughed out loud while Tom gave you shocked eyes with pinky cheeks. You had always been sassy but hanging out with the boys had made you even more sassy than ever. How many times haven't you heard Tuwaine or Harry make fun of Harrison or Tom on the sex subject? Being a girl seemed to make you an untouchable character. The boys had never teased you about your relationships or your sexual partners. And while you've always had feelings for Harrison, you've had your own experiences. Anyway, you had just gone with the flow and Tom's brand-new romantic relationship with his co-star gave you the perfect opportunity.
âThat's not the point.â stammered the actor.
Your smile widened, proud of your joke and the way Tom reacted. You heard Harry clear his throat. He had his phone in his hand and his own smile didn't bode well for you.
"The production is okay but it's at Tom's expense."
âYou got to be kidding meâŠâ
ââĄâ§
You ended up in Spain with two of your best friends. You knew you had limited time before Tom had to fly back to Los Angeles for some Spider-man: No Way Home reshoots. So, you enjoyed as much as possible: accompanying the boys to the golf course - even though you weren't very involved in the sport -, spending time to visit touristic places when they were on set, talking with Rachael and other people from the set. You really enjoyed your trip.
On Wednesday evening you went out to a restaurant with Tom, Harry and two other friends/tomâs colleagues. You couldn't deny that it was fun. You had the opportunity to sunbathe a little while walking through the streets of Madrid. Spain was doing you good and not once did you think about your wobbly friendship with Harrison. You've just left the restaurant when a few fans politely show up to take pictures with Tom. You couldn't help but smile at the thought of how kind Tom had always taken in a few snaps when his fans approached him respectfully - and there weren't too many of them -. You sighed with pleasure before stepping away from the group. You leaned against a wall and took out the packet of cigarettes that Tom had asked you to keep in your clutch bag. Being an occasional smoker, he wouldn't blame you if you took one from him. You tilted your head back to admire the dark starry night when you felt a presence by your side. You narrowed your eyes in mischief as you looked sideways: Harry was there, his nose wrinkled from your cigarette. He didn't like it too much Silence filled your bubble despite the hubbub outside. You were in public and it was not surprising to meet travelers and Madrid residents mingling with the crowd to enjoy this pleasant evening.
"I wish this trip never ends." You finally said, breaking the silence.
Harry didn't know what to say to that. Instead, he was just looking at you. You were a little tanned, the Madrid sun had done wonders on you; your loose hair framed your face and the summer dress you had chosen for the restaurant looked great on you: It was a short red floral summer dress with a shingle collar. Light enough to keep you from suffocating but decent to wear on any casual occasion. You were beautiful, stunning. His heart exploded at the sight of you, so much that it hurt a few times.
"I wish I had been there for you more." he finally confessed
You finally turned your head towards him and shrug your shoulders, smiling shyly but sincerely.
âYou were working, Bazâ
âI meantâŠnot only here in Spain. Iâm sorry to have let you down recentlyâ
You give him a confused look. He hadn't been a bad friend but he kept implying it. You just shook your head negatively to brush his words away. Harry had always been important to you. He had been the first to step towards you. It was him who introduced you to the rest of the gang. He had always been concerned about you.
The night you met, you immediately clicked up with him. And to be honest, for a moment, you thought he liked you that night. But he never took that step towards you and you never did either. You dreaded that if you kissed him, he would think you were interested in his notoriety by proxy. So you just acted like any reasonable person would - accept the status he gave you. And the second time he asked you to join him with his brother and his friends, you met Harrison and your heart exploded.
"I'm glad you brought me here"
âI'm happy you accepted to come.â
âI didn't really have the choice, Bazâ you joked.
He laughed slightly. You weren't wrong, he and Tom had practically dragged you onto the plane, leaving you no choice to be by their side. But you could only thank them, especially Harry who had the idea. You took another hit on your cigarette before leaning back to check out where Tom was with his fans. He seemed to be talking with the girls and didn't seem overwhelmed. So, you didn't want to interrupt him and were just going to wait for him to finish. Harry played with his hands nervously, looking straight ahead and then at you. He seemed to be repeating this game for several seconds before finally asking the question that was in his mind.
âHave you heard from Harrison?â Harry asked quite casually
âHe sent me several texts to apologize and wished me to have a good time in Madrid.â
âDo you still have feelings for him?â
You swallow hard before looking at him. There was an indecipherable glint in his eyes and you weren't sure what to make of it. You drew another puff from your cigarette, maybe that would save you from entering this conversation. But Harry's presence was all around you and you couldn't really escape. So you've decided to be honest.
âItâs complicated. I suppose so...â
âMhmmâ
âBut my friendship with Haz is important, I don't want to lose him because of it.â
âYeah, you can't imagine how well I understand youâ he sighed
âWhat do you mean? Whoâs the lucky girl..or guy ?â
Harry turned to you frankly and you did the same, stubbing out the half-smoked cigarette. You are well aware that the conversation was taking a more serious turn. He moistened his lips and walked over to you. Harry was full of things: he was full-loving, sarcastic, talented, daring, impertinent. But Harry was mostly awkward when it came to love. Not just an attraction, no, love with real feeling. Delicately, hesitantly, he reached out to your cheek, stroking it with the back of his fingers, cautiously. You were frozen, your eyes fixed on him admiring his audacity.
"She's the most beautiful girl I ever seen." he said with a small smile.
Harry walked over to you and your heart was pounding at breakneck speed. Harry had ... feelings for you? You were really confused. Since when had he developed his feelings? Why didn't he tell you about it? Why hadn't he tried anything so far? So, were you right from the start? Was there a tension between you since the beginning of your friendship, since your met? But above all, did you want him to take that step? Instinctively, your body responded. You parted your lips and closed your eyes. You enjoyed the warmth of his hand on your cheek and were waiting for the touch of his lips. But it never happened.
"Hey baz, y/n..we're going back to the hotel" Tom said, taking his eyes off his phone. "IâŠMhmm sorry, did I interrupt something?"

Starry nights (Remus Lupin x fem!reader)
Summary: Remus has a crush on reader but never directly admits it so reader grows impatient and fesses up before him.
Warnings: the mention of the word penis (not in a sexual way itâs a joke more specifically the penis game where u say the word lowered and lowered in a public place), nothing else, itâs just fluff
Word count: 1783 words
A/n: Once again a fic inspired by my relationship đ. I feel like Remus is one of those people that thinks youâre already dating and forgets to make it official (much like my bf) so I wrote a fic about that. Hope you like it :)
(Y/n) is scribbling away trying to finish her astronomy paper about Jupiterâs moons before the end of her free period. Sheâs gone up to the library where she expects no distractions and absolute silence.
This wish is met until she arrives at her concluding paragraph. Laughs erupt from the front entrance of the library and she suspects that is all the work she is going to get done before class. Three boys sit down in front of her while she finishes her sentence. She finally looks up at Sirius, James and Remus who have just started playing the penis game.
âPenisâ James whispers.
âPenisâ says Sirius with a normal register. The few students close by turn their heads and look in disapproval. To this the boys start howling with laughter.
Remus fills his lungs and gets ready to scream but she cuts him off.
âShhhh. Youâll get us kicked out.â She whispers with her eyes narrowed.
Remus looks at her apologetically as he releases the air from his lungs. âSorryâ he mumbles, cheeks red.
âWeâre bored y/n come hang out with us.â Says James with a whiny voice.
âDonât you have work to do?â She whispers sharply. Maybe if Madam Pince sees her whispering sheâll only kick out the boys and let her stay and finish her paper.
âUghh who caressssâ groans Sirius.
âWe were thinking of playing a short game of quidditch. Do you wanna come with us?â Remus whispers.
âIt sounds fun but I really want to finish this paper before my next class.â His face falls when she declines but he quickly covers it with an acknowledging nod.
ânerd.â Coughs Sirius.
She sticks her tongue out at him making them chuckle.
They quickly realize she isnât going to budge and before she knows it, they were gone. Grateful for the peace and quiet she focuses back to her paper and writes down another sentence. As she ponders on what to write next she looks up and notices a small bit of folded parchment that had not been there before the boys came to visit.
Looking around to make sure it couldnât be someone else's, she reaches out and unfolds the paper. Maybe she will recognize one of the boysâ writing and give it back to them.
Meet me at the boathouse at 10:00 tonight. -Mooney
Her stomach fills with butterflies and a deep blush tints her cheeks. Itâs been a month now theyâve been going on what feels like dates. Itâs always just the two of them, the activity always more romantic than the last. Remus walks her back to her common room every time and thereâs the occasional hand hold during these night excursions. Neither of them have addressed how they feel about each other. Itâs like a secret theyâre both trying to keep from each other. A belief that itâs better left unsaid. Sometimes she wonders what would happen if she told him how she felt.
~
Remus is standing at the edge of the harbor looking out at the still water.
âShould I have brought a bathing suit? Or maybe a life jacket? How good are you with boats?â She jokes with a quizzical brow.
Remus does a fast 180 and smiles wide as soon as he sees her face.
âDo you trust me (y/n)?â He asks, smirking.
I trust you more than anyone. Iâve never felt safer than when Iâm with you. Itâs what she wants to say. She looks in his soft eyes. Itâs like he knows the answer already. She settles with a small nod instead.
He grabs her hand and guides her to one of the small boats. He steps in first, offering his hand to help her next. With the flick of his wand the boat moves forward.
âWhere are we going?â She asks, already a few guesses in mind.
âYouâll see.â He smirks.
Itâs mid-October and she can already feel the cold wind stinging her cheeks as the boat moves away from the castle and into the darkness. They mostly ride in silence. Thereâs the occasional question and anecdote about their day but they donât really feel itâs necessary to fill the silence.
âWere hereâ he says after a while.
âWhat do you mean we're here? Thereâs nothing here but water!â She says in somewhat of a panic.
âNo love, look behind you.â The surname makes her stomach knot on itself and she feels her cheeks turn that familiar pink. She still canât believe how easily he can get her all flustered.
She turns at the same time as the boat docks onto an island.
âThis is bowtruckle island.â Remus says as he climbs out of the boat and gives her a hand out. âI come here when I need some time away from the boys. This is the only place they donât know I go to. I call it my safe haven.â
She laughs but after looking at the small island, she sort of understands what he means. âThereâs something sort of serene about this place. I can see why you like it.â
âExactly.â He looks at her in absolute admiration. He knew she would see it too, itâs like she understands him perfectly, she feels what he feels.
For a moment they both stand awkwardly on the shore before Remus pulls out a pack. He walks towards the large tree that almost takes up the whole surface of the island. He pulls a blanket and two small pillows from the pack and lays them out on the ground. He looks up at (y/n) and points to one of the pillows.
âI thought we could look at the stars together.â He suggests.
She smiles and nods in agreement. She never knew Remus could be such a romantic until they started these âdatesâ.
Their conversations flow smoothly as they talk about the stars and classes and funny memories, getting more and more familiar with one another. They eventually fall into a comfortable silence. The rhythmic sound of the water swishing onto the shore helps her drift away into her thoughts. She wishes she could stay there forever. She feels at her best when sheâs with Remus. She thinks maybe she should tell him that. Maybe she should tell him everything sheâs ever thought about him. How badly she wants to kiss him. How much she wishes they could be a couple and walk around the school hand in hand to rub in everyoneâs face that they are together. How sheâs had a crush on him ever since he smiled and shook her hand when they first met in second year.
Her thoughts are interrupted by a sudden warm feeling around her hand. Remus had intertwined his fingers with hers. She turns her head towards him and they lock eyes. Thereâs a hopeful glint in his eyes. He turns his body a bit to face her and leans forward. She closes her eyes in anticipation for their first kiss when a strong gust of wind swoops their way. It sends a strong shiver down her spine and immediately kills the moment as she curls into herself and unintentionally moves away from Remus.
âCold?â He whispers. Itâs soft but thereâs a light growl indicating heâs bummed. He sits up and grabs another blanket from his bag and unfolds it.
âThis should hel-â
âWhat is this Remus?â It comes off much harsher than she had anticipated but she hardly had time to think before she spat out the words. She thinks maybe it would have been better to say any of the things she had been thinking before he went in for a kiss but sheâs quite flustered. Sheâs fallen for Remus years ago and her feelings grow stronger every time they see each other. She just wants more clarity on what is going on between them and sheâs growing impatient about it.
âWhat?â A panicked look crosses his face. âItâs a blanket...?â He tries.
âNo Remus, I mean this.â She sits up and gestures to her surroundings. He furrows his brows in confusion. âWell, youâve been planning these elaborate and romantic nights where we hold hands and do couple things and I have so much fun every time and I feel like we get along really well and I really like you, like I wouldnât want to do this with anyone else because youâre so kind and caring and thoughtful and funny and you smell good and you have nice hair and youâre the only person I want to take home to meet my parents and then kiss in my room afterwards.â She rambles out in one breath. Remus chuckles with a look of pure delight on his face as (y/n) pants completely out of breath, cheeks tomato red from the blunt confession.
âDo I have to wait until I meet your parents to kiss you?â He asks. She canât tell if heâs joking or not.
âPlease donât.â
He cups her cheek before leaning forwards and softly placing his lips to hers. It starts slow and tentative but quickly develops into a desperate kiss as they make up for years of lustful temptations. Remus places a hand behind her head and one on her waist and guides her down onto the blanket as she hums softly in encouragement.
âWoooooo!â
âFinally!â
âYeah Mooney!â
The cheers echo on the lake as Remus and (y/n) jump apart in surprise. They spot another boat on the water with three boys in it. Remus shakes his head as Sirius jumps up in excitement which sways the boat so far that Peter falls in the water. Peter pulls on the boat until it capsizes and soon there are three heads bobbing in the water.
âMerlin, I canât with those three.â Remus shakes his head but his adoring smile says otherwise. âThis is your final chance to back out. I canât even take you to my quiet place without them interrupting.â He points his thumb towards the three who are now bickering on how to turn the boat over.
She places her finger on her chin pretending to think about it. âHmmm, I think the benefits out weigh the consequencesâ She concludes.
âI was hoping youâd say that.â he says as he fills the space between stopping before their lips meet and quickly jerking back. âJust to be clear, I like you too.â He blurts with a panicked face and hands out to stop her from leaning forward.
âIâm happy we got that cleared up.â She smiles wide. âNow get back here.â She whispers as she wraps her arms around his neck and pulls him in for another kiss, the sound of the boys yelling fading out as the kiss deepens.

Chapter 11: Still Kyo
[prev] [next]
[masterlist] [kiaâs slambook]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
âNo. Kia, just no.â
âBut I want to!â
âKia, I already told you, no.â
âWhy not?â
âWhy would you?â
âBecause I want to!â
âKia for the last time. Miya Atsumu can not be your boyfriend.â
âHe is. Heâs my boyfriend.â
Kiyoomi and Kia stare at each, their arms crossed, Kia is pouting and Kiyoomi is glaring. They have been arguing for 30 minutes now, since Kia mentioned wanting Atsumu to be her boyfriend.
You just continue to make lunch, acting as if theyâre not fighting over nonsense. Whatâs funny is that Sakusa is so worked up about this. Why canât he just go along with Kiaâs fantasies?
âHeâs old,â he tells the little girl. Kia glares at him, tears on the brim of her eyes.
âSo what! Heâs my boyfriend!â Kia argues back, not backing down either. âHeâs handsome, tall, and nice!â
âHeâs ugly, Kia,â he rebuts. Kia starts crying and thatâs also when you serve them their food.
âMama, tell Kyo! Tell Kyo that my Mu-chan is handsome!â Kia demands you, crying harder. To stop her tears, you sigh. Kiyoomi gags as he hears her call him hers.
âYes. Atsumu is handsome.â You glance at Kiyoomi and heâs staring at you with a look of betrayal. He looks down to his food and stabs the tempura on his plate.
âSee even mama likes him!â Kia pushes, making Kiyoomi roll his eyes.
âFine. Date him. Heâs a jerk anyways,â Kiyoomi states, not looking away from his food. Kia gasps at his words and widens her eyes at you. You tell her to eat and she does.
You want to eat in peace but the anger radiating off Kiyoomi is too overwhelming. You eye his face and you notice how burrowed his eyebrows are. You wanna ask him if heâs jealous, but that would be digging your own grave.
You finish eating and Kiyoomi offers to do the dishes. You nod, not wanting to fuel his already burning anger by arguing about the dishes. âIâll shower. Watch Kia.â He hums, continuing to wash the dishes.
After he washes the dishes, he goes to the room, Kia following him around. He takes a box of a phone out of his drawer, then goes back to the living room with Kia. He sits her down beside him on the couch, opening the new box of phone.
âWhat is this?â Kiyoomi raises the phone. Kia looks at it then points at it.
âPhone.â
âGood. What is it for?â He asks and she thinks deeply at his question.
âMama use it to call Kenken and Keikei,â Kia answers, hoping she gets it correct. Kiyoomi pats her head as approval. âPictures too.â
âYes, pictures also. But I have something important to show you.â Kiyoomi pulls Kia into his lap, one of his arm wrapped around her. He holds the phone near her face where she can see the screen and go to the dial pad. âYou only use this when thereâs an emergency, okay? Now, listen.â
âOkay,â Kia nods, her eyes stuck on the screen, but her ears are waiting for Kiyoomiâs words.
âYou long press number 1, and then you can talk to your mama,â he explains. âNumber 2 is me. 3 is your grandma. 4 is your grandpa. 5 is your uncle Keikei. 6 is your uncle Kenken.â
âHow about Mu-chan?â Kia asks and Kiyoomi squints his eyes in disapproval. âI also wanna call Mu-chan.â
âThis phone is for emergencies. Not boyfriends.â Kiyoomi huffs continuing to show her how to make an emergency call. âOkay now try calling me. Itâs numb-â
Before he can even finish his sentence, Kia has long pressed the number 2 button on the screen. His phone starts ringing and Kia gasps in awe. âAnswer! Answer!â Kiyoomi picks up the call then Kia says hi. She giggles upon hearing her voice on the other phone.
âYou only use this when youâre in an emergency, okay? If you feel unsafe, you call immediately. If you get lost, you call. If you are injured, you call.â
âWhat if I miss you?â She looks up to him with her doe eyes and Kiyoomiâs heart softens. He looks away, not wanting her to see him smile.
âIs that an emergency?â He gives her a serious look and she frowns. Her attention goes back to the phone, her lips forming into a pout.
Kiyoomi places his chin on Kiaâs head, then opens the camera app. He snaps a photo. The photo turned pretty well, despite it being rushed and taken at an awful angle. Kia is still pouting at the photo and only his upper face could be seen.
Kia continues to sulk, so Kiyoomi gives in. âYou can call when you miss me.â Her face lightens up and she turns, to wrap her arms around his neck. She stands on his thighs, smiling widely at Kiyoomi. âNow repeat what I have said.â
âPress the green button. Number 1 is for mama. Number 2 is for Kyo. Number 3 is for grandma. Number 4 is for grandpa. Number 5 is for Keikei. Number 6 is for Kenken. I should only call for emergencies and when I miss you,â she recites, and this time Kiyoomi doesnât hold back a smile to show his appreciation towards her correct answer.
âIâll put this phone in that drawer.â Kiyoomi points at a drawer below the television. âWhen you leave the house, make sure you put it in your bag.â Kia nods.
âCan mama call you too if she misses you?â Kia says, her hands on Kiyoomiâs cheeks. He answers with a hum and Kia gleefully giggles. âKyo...â
âWhy am I still Kyo and not papa?â Kiyoomi sighs in disappointment. âYes?â He responds to her and she leans into Kiyoomiâs face, kissing Kiyoomi on his lips. His body freezes from the contact, surprised by Kiaâs actions.
âI love you,â she claims, pinching his cheeks. A smile is still on her face, as she continues playing with his cheek. Kiyoomi doesnât know what to respond.
Does he love her too?
-
Kia wakes up from her afternoon nap and doesnât see you. She goes out of the room, dragging her blanket with her. Kiyoomi, who is preparing to leave for a training camp, sees her. He carries her in his arm.
âHow was your sleep?â Kiyoomi asks Kia but doesnât respond. Her face is resting on his shoulder, still in a daze from her sleep.
âWhereâs mama?â Kia asks instead, not feeling your pressence anywhere in the house.
âSheâs harvesting vegetables at the garden. Do you wanna go to her?â Kia shakes her head, leaning her head back on his shoulder. She spots the bags on the living roomâs couch and she wiggles out of Kiyoomiâs grip. She runs back to her room and Kiyoomi continues to pack.
Kia grabs a backpack and stuffs anything that she can hold into her bag. She slings the bag on her shoulders and goes back to the living room. Kiyoomi is back in his room, checking if heâs left anything. Kia opens the drawer where Kiyoomi placed her phone and she places the phone in her bag. She climbs on the couch, sitting beside Kiyoomiâs suitcases.
âWhere are you going?â You ask Kia as you see her from the hallway. She doesnât answer you. You go to the kitchen, and start to prepare dinner.
Kiyoomi finally comes out of his room, ready to leave the house. He places a kiss on top of Kiaâs head then her forehead, before bidding his goodbyes to you. âIâm leaving now.â
âTake care and have fun,â you respond, smiling gently.
You continue to wash the vegetables, not noticing Kia who is following Kiyoomi leave the house. Kiyoomi doesnât notice too. He only sees her when he puts his bags on the trunk.
âKia, why are you outside? Get inside or your mama will worry,â he tells her. She runs to him, hugging his knee. He picks her up and walks back to the front door. As they get near, she starts wailing. âWhatâs wrong?â
Kia knows heâs leaving, because every time she sees Kiyoomi leave the house with that one particular duffle bag, he doesnât return for days. And she doesnât want him to leave. If she canât stop him from leaving, sheâs going with him.
Kiyoomi and Kia enter the house once again, and you stop what you are doing upon hearing Kiaâs wails. You rush to them in the entrance and see Kia death gripping on Kiyoomiâs shoulders.
âBaby, whatâs wrong?â You ask her. Kiyoomi shrugs, also confused of whatâs happening.
âI wanna go with Kyo,â she says in between cries. He attempts to give her to you but Kia tightens her hold on Kiyoomi. âNo! No! No! Iâll go with you! I promise Iâll be a good girl!â
You feel hurt seeing Kia like this. Sheâs never thrown a tantrum like this so you donât know what to do. She didnât even cry when you left her in Kiyoomiâs hands for 3 days.
âKia, you canât go with me. But I promise you that Iâll bring you something when I return,â Kiyoomi convinces her.
âNo! No! No! No! I want Kyo!â She cries, her eyes red from crying too hard. You take a look at Kiyoomi, worried that heâs irritated from her tantrum. Surprisingly, he looks relaxed, a hint of pain seen in his eyes.
Kiyoomi takes his shoes off, then heads to your room. He sits on your bed, settling Kia on his lap. He makes her face him, wiping her tears away from her cheeks. You spectate them from the doorway.
âBaby, Iâm sorry I canât bring you with me,â Kiyoomi apologizes, his sweet and soft tone calming Kia down. You couldnât help but smile from the nickname.
âBut I will miss you,â she replies, sobbing. He wipes her snot using his handkerchief before pulling her close to his chest.
âYou can call me every night with the phone I gave you,â Kiyoomi comforts her, caressing the back of her head. She quiets down, but her hold on his shirt doesnât loosen. âIâll come home as soon as I can.â
âBut then I donât get hugs and kisses from Kyo!â She reasons, tears forming on the corners of her eyes.
Kiyoomi cups her cheeks, then kisses her forehead. âThatâs for tomorrow.â Then another one on her cheek. âThatâs for tomorrow tomorrow.â A kiss on her nose. âTomorrow tomorrow tomorrow.â And finally, a kiss on her lips. âTomorrow tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow.â
Kia giggles, her sadness washing away thanks to Kiyoomiâs kisses. She hugs him, giving him a kiss on his lips once again. âIâll see you tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow.â
Kia finally lets go of him and climbs down the bed. She heads out, probably going to the front door to see him out. Kiyoomi leaves as well, but stops in front of you at the doorway.
âWhat?â You raise an eyebrow at him. Suddenly, he wraps his arms around you, giving you a quick tight hug. You blush. âWhat are you doing?â
âIâll miss you, too,â he tells you. He steals a kiss from your lips and quickly runs to the door where Kia is waiting for him. You groan, running after him as well.
You and Kia wave to him good bye at the front door as he enters his car. He puts on his mask and his seatbelt on. Before he can even drive away, his phone starts ringing.
âKia đŒđŒ is callingâ
Kiyoomi smiles, then answers it, âyes?â
âI miss you already.â

Facts:
Kia also called Akaashi and told him some good news
Kia begged you to put Atsumuâs number on the 7th speed dial

How would you go about writing omega Jason with Alpha Dick?
Man oh man- Omega!Jason with Alpha!Dick is always such a bop.
It depends really! I see so many fics with insecure Jason thinking Dick is too good for him which is nice and definitely in character- but sometimes it makes me crave the other end of the spectrum?
Like a confident, sexy Jason who teases Dick with his scent and body until the alpha wants to implode? I also like the idea of Jason being raised by an Omeganist!Alfred and Omega!Talia to be badass, sassy and sensual. Bras? Suppressants? Painful heats?
Not for Jason Todd!
He embraces his Omega-ninity and it wreaks havoc on Dick's hormones. Dick being a more conservative alpha would definitely find himself overwhelmed but enamored!
Here's something playful with a clumsy Alpha!Dick and confident pack Omega!Jason!
Tiddies Out - JayDick
Tags: Omegaverse, AlphaDick, OmegaJason, Pining, Crack treated Seriously, Lactating, Heat Cycles, Omega Tim, Alpha Bruce, Pup Damian- Just Dick being an obvious pining idiot and Jason enjoying his reactions-
Jason doesnât mind being an omega. How could he when itâs one of the superior options? While Alphaâs often lost themselves to aggression during rutting season and betaâs scrambled to placate them- Omegaâs got to sit back and watch the show.
Being the object of an alphaâs fascination has many perks. First off? The gifts. Lavish offerings make their way to him with little to no effort. Weaponry from Talia, Expensive silks and poisons from Ras, The latest tech from Tim and Bruce. It's an endless parade really. One of the few things that make this more bearable to put up with.
Heâs a heavy milker. Always has been.
Maybe itâs from growing up in an abusive household. Perhaps it's in response to being closer to the packâs pups or hell, maybe his body is just gearing up for the imaginary children it wants to have. Regardless of the reason Jasonâs tits are aching.
They seem extra tender tonight. The cold dingy air does little to ease the tension under his armor. He shifts and the way his pads squish under bullet proof chest plates is a pain. He curses and tries to ignore it. Something thatâs getting harder as the cotton under his clothing reaches its limit. Tsk- 4 hours his ass. Itâs barely been 2 and heâs about to make a mess of his gear.
As annoying as it is. He reluctantly reaches into his kit to get two fresh napkins to change. Other omegaâs might be shy to do this in public but Jason has always been more practical about it. Breasts are breasts, no reason to get all crazy about it.
Though it probably didnât hurt that Jason himself had a nice rack. He knows what the other heroes say about him behind his back. His figure has never been more appreciated than now in his prime. The dip in the pit did wonders at helping him bulk up. Thighs thick, emphasising his trim waist. In the throws of season his ample chest gives him an illusion of an hourglass figure. While some people would say omegaâs should be small and dainty, he has yet to meet an alpha or beta who can resist him.
Not to be vain but he is nothing else if not attractive.
Heâs got his top half way off when the sound of a near violent thud echoes out in the darkness. The hiss of pain gives away the alpha before his scent can. Jason doesnât even turn in his direction. Instead he keeps his attention on the sopping pads under the compression shirt. He hisses as the gentle adhesive pulls from his throbbing mamories.
â You alright over there goldie? â
He gets a groan for an answer. A nicer person would have maybe let the other man know about his current state of undress. Too bad that Jason isnât exactly known for being âniceâ. He carefully wraps up one cotton cloth. Once heâs clean and dry, he applies another. Itâs quick and easy work. The slight chill does wonders against his flush skin.
The worn form of Nightwing crawls from the side of the building. Thereâs a pretty good bruise on his cheek Jason is 90% sure that the acrobat had a less than graceful landing. Heâs always been weird about nudity. Even back when they mostly had the same parts. He rolls his eyes as the man pointedly tries not to look at him. He canât help scoffing at the false modesty.
â Hood. You shouldnât do this out in the open like this. Anyone could see you. â
Everyone knows Jason is an omega, by extension that means Red Hood. Itâs one of the reasons why his territory is so well protected. No one wants to cross an omega. While the fangs in their mouths were now more for scruffing kits, no one had forgotten the days when they were for hunting prey and tearing out throats.
He would flash his at Dick but heâs wearing his helmet and would probably just looks stupid. He manages to get the other pad off. Itâs absolutely drenched. His left teet is definitely working harder than the right. The sheer weight of the cotton makes a loud squelch as it hits the little plastic bag at his feet.
He snorts. â And you know what theyâd say N? Best tits in Gotham. â
The alphaâs face is anything but amused. The furrow of his brow and spike in his scent is territorial and aggressive. Itâs laughable really considering the fact that between the two of them, Jason is actually the one in charge of protecting the pack. Itâs all a part of being the lead omega.
Whether Bruce or Dick want to accept it or not.
â Stop objectifying yourself like that. â
Jason enjoys the feeling of being clean and dry as he gets the other cotton adhesive on. Itâs a welcome sensation. Especially when he straightens his armor and itâs a little less chafing and tight.
â Itâs only objectication if I say Iâm only a nice pair of tits Wing. Luckily Iâve got a nice set of thighs too.â
He pays Dick no mind as he stands and packs away his used pads to be thrown away later. He might have to call it an early night at the rate. With the way fall is quickly approaching his heat is just dying to make an appearance. Perhaps he could get away with offering himself to the foster system. With the amount of milk heâs making now it would be better for the pups who need it to benefit instead of it all going to the trash.
â Hood! â The sound is a scandalized growl. Itâs funny enough that Jason throws his head back and laughs free and clear. With the voice modulator itâs mean and menacing. Amusement bubbles in his chest. He canât help taking off his helmet so that Dick can take in just how wide his smile is.
â Sorry Wing. Iâm a pretty girl. What can I say? â
Talia is nothing but progressive. While many omegaâs in the west suffer from low self esteem. Jason learned his worth quickly. Confidence is beauty. The more one loves themselves, adores them selves and takes time to know themselves the more they blossom. Itâs a deep healing that not everyone gets to understand. A privilege for a few chosen omegas. He cocks his head and smiles and seeâs the exact moment Dick starts losing his footing in the conversation.
The alpha is tongue tied.
â Thatâs not what I mean and you know it Hood. â
Jason shrugs. Once heâs got his stuff away heâs ready to run roofs and actually get some work done.
â Sorry Goldie. Itâs 2021 and havenât you heard? Red Hood says free the tiddies. â
He doesnât wait for a response as he makes a running start towards the edge of the building. Itâs always such a thrill. He tucks a bit to clear the gap. The moment his legs touch the concrete the sound is silent despite the bulk of his frame. Dick calls after him but he loses the words in the wind. Laughter bubbles up in his throat. He wouldnât be a prude just because his family wanted to be sexually repressed more than they wanted to be happy.
Dick doesnât try to catch up with him and Jason finishes the night patrolling with Tim and Stephanie.
He manages to get an entire three hours out of the next set of pads. Instead of changing out in the open he accepts Alfredâs invitation back at the manor for a warm bath and cookies. Tim stares at his chest while Jason gets himself decent.
Tim is a gorgeous omega, with a slender petite frame and porcelain doll-like features. He always seems to get shy in the presence of Jasonâs more unconventional curves.
Jason knows what low self esteem looks like. The younger omega wears it no matter how much bravo he tries to exude. Jason brushes against him briefly and lightly. His usual fragrance is marshmellowy from the sweetness of milk that clings to it.
Thereâs an immediate blush as Tim ducks away. Clearly heâs embarrassed from being caught. Though in reality where is the shame in a little boob appreciation amongst omegas?
â You know Timmy, you gotta stop wearing bras. Maybe if you show a glimpse of those pretty pink nips Kon would take the hint. â
Tim goes red from his ears to his chest. Jason can practically see the steam coming from his ears. He slaps his hands over his petite breast quick enough to hurt. Jason wants to let him scamper off but instead he presses into his space even more. Long gone is the perfume of pup, now that Tim has come fully into his omega hood. Every day his scent leans more and more towards caramel and sugar.
â Uhg youâre such a jerk. â
Tim tries to dodge out of his hold but Jason gets him anyway. The omega yelps and Jason ducks him right between each swollen peck. They are red and tender from patrol. He hasnât put on new pads yet so some milk beads at his nipples. The little shriek Tim lets out is hilarious.
â Youâre going to get milk in my hair! Jason stop- God you suck- â
The omega fights and Jason lets him go before the two actually get into it. Itâs light and playful. Well for the most part. Tim gets some milk on his face and the teen honest to God looks terrified. He curses all the way to the shower stall to take another quick bath all while Jason cackles at his misfortune.
â I swear to God, when I start milking I'm going to get you back Ten fold! â
Jason rolls his eyes. As if.The last thing Jasonâs afraid of is milk. Itâs a natural thing. God everyone in this pack is repressed.
â Weâll see about that Timberella! â
The omega hisses and Jason has to hold back a laugh as he leaves the shower. Heâs so light and high from the interaction that he completely for gos a shirt. Not that he really wants to wear one. Not with how milk heavy and tender his chest is. Alfredâs always been pretty cool about it too. Being from the 60âs and all that jazz.
Jason maybe gets half way through the cave before the sound of metal crashing draws his attention. Dick walks cleanly into one of the metal tables in the middle of the lab space, knocking over tools and gadgets.
Bruce is thoroughly unimpressed from where heâs helping Damian stretch before bed. Heâs in half of his costume, suppressors and scent blockers gone. The sheer disappointment in Damianâs gaze is astonishing.
â Richard, please control yourself. â
The alpha looks like a deer caught in headlights, his mortification absolutely palpable in the air.
Jason does catch his eyes on his chest though. He smirks and sees the moment horror grows in those bright blue eyes. Instead of heading towards the stairs he decides to circle back towards the group.
Bruce chuffs from his position on the floor. He doesnât stop what heâs doing but does tilt towards him in reverence. Itâs been the biggest change in their dynamic. Bruce finally learning to respect Jason as not only a pack mate, but the pack omega. He greets him with a scenting.
Unlike Dick the alpha seems to pay little attention to his milking.
Damianâs puppy nose twitches as he leans towards him. It makes his heart flutter really. While Damian would never ask, Jason has thought of offering his breast many times. While Technically too old for it, theyâve all done their fair share of growing up too quickly. Something that Jason Laments as well as appreciates.
He scents Damian more thoroughly than Bruce, making him bristle. The boy tries to move out of his hold, hands swatting him away.
â Todd cease your pestering immediately! If I smell of milk my peers will assume I still breastfeed. â
Jason snorts and pulls back from the prickly pup. Bruce gets a stupid fond look on his face and for a brief moment he feels it echoing on his lips.
â And whatâs wrong with that? If your pack omega is milking of course as a pup youâre welcome to it. â
Damianâs green eyes widen a fraction. His mouth opens in disbelief. Clearly, Damian in fact did not know that. Bruce stares as well, his scent turning into a sweet blend of âlove-admiration-aweâ. It draws a shiver up Jasonâs spine. The tender mix of affection from his pack blankets over him like a net of spun sugar.
Jason doesnât know why he feels drawn to look at Dick. The alpha hasnât said anything in the past minute. He cuts his gaze to the stone still alpha and his heart flutters in excitement. The looks of jealousy and want is so strong that his intentions sparkle clear like aquamarine in shallow ocean waters.
The alpha is so much more honest when he thinks Jason isnât looking.
He grins at Dick.
The alpha immediately shrinks in shame and embarrassment.
â And of course any alpha spending my heat with me. â

Part 1 | Part 3
The plan was set.
Draco and you had talked some more about what being âin a relationshipâ entailed, whilst at the same time avidly avoiding Pansy in your free time. In fact, you were surprised with how little youâd have to change the dynamic between the two of you.
The first point was friendship, which was easy enough you thought. Thereâs no point in starting a fake relationship if you donât get on well in the first place.
Second, communication. You agreed to be open and honest with each other, this whole plan wouldnât work if you werenât telling each other everything.
And finally third, intimacy.
This one was obvious enough and it was more than just hand holding or sharing the odd kiss or two, you knew that. It was about selling your relationship to be believable to everyone else around you, including your closest friends.
One of which was Hermione.
The plan on paper was simple, you both said youâd start off small and work your way into being a couple, so why did you feel this pit of anxiety in your stomach?
Nerves? Sure, you chalked it down to that.
So when you entered the Great Hall the next morning, late and in desperate need of caffeine, you somehow didnât expect your âboyfriendâ to approach you with a steaming mug of coffee.
You completely missed the blonde boy too as you took your normal seat with a frantic expression on your face. Your roommates didnât wake you up like they usually did so when you woke and found no one there, you almost screamed when you checked the time.
âCoffee coffee coffeeâ the mantra on your tongue âwhere the hell is the coffee?!â
Hermione looked amused as she packed up the book she was previously reading into her bag.
âRon finished it moments ago, thereâs no moreâ
âWhat?!â You blanched âthereâs none?â
Hermione shook her head, the answer a definite no.
With energy lacking and spirit deflated, you grabbed a couple slices of toast and buttered them quickly, at least trying to put some food in your stomach even if it wasnât your usual caffeine shot.
However when Hermione froze slightly, eyes narrowly following something behind you with a glare, you frowned at her confused. That was until Draco perched on the seat next to you, holding a mug of coffee between his hands.
âGrangerâ he greeted in a civil manner causing the witch to freeze in shock, half expecting an offhand snide comment about her blood status. He then turned to you and offered the coffee, âthought you might need thisâ
âBut I thought there was none left!â
âI saved you itâ
âYou saved me a coffee?â
âKept it warm tooâ
You couldâve cried when you took the mug from him and immediately the drink warmed your hands. Eagerly taking a sip, you found the coffee itself was exactly to your liking.
You went to point it out but before a word could leave your lips, Draco rolled his eyes at you with a smile.
âWhat? You thought I didnât know how you took your coffee?â
The question was rhetorical, not that you cared. Exhaustion was the only thing you felt that morning up until then, quickly being replaced with utter fondness for the Malfoy boy next to you.
âThank youâ you told him as he grinned back at you
âDonât mention itâ
Draco raised his hand and swiped away a lock of hair which had fallen out of your two second attempt to pin it back this morning in your rush.
Your breath hitched slightly as his eyes found yours and he leaned in towards your ear.
âHow am I doing?â
Your brain stalled.
Right.
Of course.
He was acting like he cared about you in front of Hermione.
To convince Hermione.
Who of course, confirmed with a quick glance, was looking between the two of you with suspicion in her eyes.
Quickly painting a smile across your face like heâd said something sweet, you pulled back and shot him a dazzling smile.
âAlright, I guessâ you said, vague enough so Hermione wouldnât clock onto what he really said.
âGoodâ he grinned back at you before standing from the seat. âIâll see you after class later, yeah?â
You nodded at him, and with a fond smile at you and a courteous nod to Hermione, he left the two of you be, heading to his first class.
With the thought in the back of your mind that you should probably also get to class, you were stopped by a substantially confused Hermione who looked at you like youâd grown another head.
âWas I just in some parallel universe?â
âWhat?â
ââWhat?â Seriously, thatâs how youâre going to answer that question?â
âI donât know what youâre talking aboutâ you shrugged your shoulders before standing and picking up your bag and the mug of coffee from Draco.
âWhat arenât you telling me?â The Granger girl continued to interrogate you as she too stood, though with a lot more vigor.
âThereâs a lot of things Iâm not telling you Hermione, but if itâs anything to do with Draco, I donât know what you meanâ
Striding out the Great Hall, she quickly followed you, pestering for more information which you avoided expertly until you got to your first class you shared.
âWhy did Malfoy get you coffee?â
âBecause it was a nice thing to doâ
âWhy was he civil with me?â
âMaybe heâs seen the lightâ
â(Y/N)! Tell me! Iâm not going to be able to sleep tonight otherwise and you know it!â
With a sigh you turned to face her.
Putting on a performance like it was tough for you to keep a secret, you âummâd and âahhâd under her questioning until you really had had enough of the interrogation.
âOkay, fine, we may or may not be datingâ you said like it wasnât a big deal
âWhat?!â
âMiss Granger!â Professor McGonagallâs voice snapped âif youâre so done with your conversation, perhaps you could start writing your essay?â
âYes, Professor. Sorry, Professorâ
With a glare shot your way, meaning sheâd grill you later for information, the bookworm turned back to her work and started writing furiously.
It was later that day that you found out that Lavender Brown had overheard your conversation with Hermione and so naturally, the gossip that you and Draco were dating was spread across the entire school.
Some believed the rumour, others didnât so much. This of course included Blaise, the Weasley twins, and of course, the ever stubborn Pansy.
When the boys finally cornered each respective friend, they of course had some questions that needed to be addressed.Â
Blaise cornered Draco first at Lunch.Â
The Malfoy boy had just started to tuck into his food when a book slammed down on the table next to him, startling the boy.Â
Blaise pinned him with a hard look.
âIs it true youâre dating (Y/N)?â
âHowâd you hear that?!â
âWord gets around fast... so, is it true?â
âYes itâs trueâ Draco rolled his eyes at his friend
He was honestly shocked at how quickly the rumour had gone round the castle, though he suspected some of the Gryffindor girls were behind it. They always seemed like they pounced on any gossip going.
This also meant, Pansy had probably heard it by now.
Dracoâs interest peaked.
âWhoâd you hear it from?â The blonde asked his friend
âBulstrode of all peopleâ Blaise rolled his eyes âthought I mightâve found out from my friend himself but apparently notâ
âSorry man, it only really happened yesterdayâ
Blaise waved his apology off
âSo tell me, is this for real? Itâs not a prank or anything, she knows you think youâre going out with her right?â
âYes, (Y/N) knows weâre going outâ Draco rolled his eyes in exasperation âsheâs also not being forced or blackmailed into going out with me if that puts your mind at restâ
This wasnât technically true and Draco fought the urge to cringe slightly as he remembered the deal he had made with you.
Despite the other copious Christmas presents he had to get you, being civil to Granger wasnât so bad he remarked. They only shared a few classes, all of which were with you present, so all he really had to do was ignore the fact the muggleborn witch existed and heâd keep his side of the deal up.
âGoodâ Blaise huffed, finally sitting down next to him âcan I ask you something though?â
âYou just didâ
âSmart arseâ Blaise rolled his eyes but continued on âwhat made you ask her out?â
Draco paused.
You hadnât actually discussed this so there wasnât a definite plan on what response to give. The boy trusted himself to come up with a decent answer though so instead of panicking, he said the first thing that popped into his head.
âIâve been in love with her for yearsâ
Well... he didnât expect that to be his response.
âYou have?â Blaise asked also taken aback
âUmm, yeah, sure, sheâs the one for me you know?â
Draco kicked himself once again
Why couldnât he think straight?!
âSheâs just... sheâs so funny, you know? One of the funniest people Iâve ever met. Her laugh, man, is enough to make me laugh even harder because have you heard it?! Itâs hilarious!â
Unconsciously, Draco began to smile at the thought of you.
âAlso, sheâs super talented at anything she does, which would be wildly annoying if she wasnât so modest about it. Sheâs also the most sarcastic person Iâve ever met, yet also the kindest. Sheâs got so many good qualities itâs hard to even think about anything bad about her.â
Draco stopped, breaking out of his train of thought.
Now that... that, he really hasnât expect to be his response.
âIâm glad youâre happy then, Dracoâ the Zabini boy smiled at him âseems like you really like herâ
âYeah... I doâ
You were pounced upon by both the Weasley twins not much later on, both demanding answers.
âYouâre dating Malfoy?!â
âAs in Draco Malfoy? The ferret?â
âHeâs not a ferret!â You rolled your eyes at the pair. âAnd yes I am. Why? Do you not believe the castle gossip?â
âWe heard it-â Fred began
âStill working on believing itâ George finished
You rolled your eyes and continued on to the library, your original destination before you got jumped by the identical redheads.
âBelieve what you wantâ you shrugged trying to play it off.
âSee (Y/N), hereâs the thing, I donât know if I believe youâre actually going out with himâ Fred stated causing you to frown.
âWhat do you mean?â
âFreddie here believes you guys are faking it for some reasonâ George chucked an arm round your shoulders as they continued to walk with you.
âWhy would we be faking it?!â You laughed like the idea was ridiculous.
âI just know you wouldnât go for himâ Fred shrugged âyour standards are too high.â
âMy standards are too high?!â
You were mildly offended at the suggestion, no matter how correct Fred was about the two of you faking your relationship.
Reaching the library quickly, you turned to the boys who had halted at the sight of the only room in the castle they adamantly wouldnât enter.
âWell, unless your plan is to follow me into the forbidden room of books, Iâll see you guys later?â
Not waiting for an answer you swung open the door, mind now focused on studying for that test you had coming up in Herbology later that week.
âI still donât believe you!â Fred shouted after you before the door closed shut behind you
All you could do was roll your eyes.
It was dinner later that evening when you saw your âboyfriendâ again since breakfast when heâd given you the coffee.
By now, you two were the talk of the castle which is why you werenât surprised to see a fuming brunette strut up to you. The Slytherin girl looked as if she should have smoke coming out her ears you thought, not that youâd tell her that and anger her even more.
â(Y/N)â Pansy sniffed almost impatiently as she reached you.
âPansyâ you replied innocently which seen fo infuriate her more.
âI heard youâre supposedly dating my boyfriend?â
âYour boyfriend?â
You couldnât help but phrase the question like you really didnât know what she was talking about.
âDraco!â
â...Draco?â
âDraco Malfoy!â She practically growled at you
âOhh, Draco as in my boyfriend?â
âYes! Wait no-â
You snorted at her slip up and ignored her as you sidestepped and entered the Great Hall spying the familiar mop of platinum blonde hair, sending him a smile,
Before you could make your way over to him though, a hand grabbed your arm with nails roughly digging into your skin.
âHey, I wasnât done talking to youâ Pansy seethed
âWell I was done talking to youâ you shrugged truely bored with the girl âIâd appreciate it now though if you let go of my arm.â
âNo, Iâm not finishe-â
âYes you areâ Draco cut her off this time
Pansyâs expression looked like her brain had short circuited for a moment before she gathered herself and smiled flirtily at the boy.
âHey Drakey babyâ
âFirstly, for the millionth time, donât call me thatâ Draco narrowed his eyes at her into a glare. âSecondly, (Y/N) also asked you to let go of her arm so I suggest you do so.â
At once, like your arm was on fire, Pansy dropped her grip which she had forgotten about as soon as the Malfoy had entered the conversation.
You rubbed your arm as you pulled it to your chest. Pansyâs nails had dug deep and actually split the skin on your arm slightly by the force she had held you by.
âAnd finally, Iâd appreciate it if youâd fuck off and didnât harass my girlfriend, especially about lies that weâre somehow involved.â
With that being said, Draco wrapped his arm around your waist and escorted you over to the spot he was originally sitting at, letting you take his seat while he forced Crabbe to move down a space so he could sit next to you.
âThanks for thatâ you sent him a smile âthough I can handle Pansyâ
âI knowâ he replied with a grin of his own âI just needed to get that off my chest. Let me see your arm.â
âItâs nothing-â
â(Y/N)â
With a sigh you reluctantly held out your arm so he could see the damage Pansy had done. Spotting the crescent shaped breaks in your skin, his jaw clenched in anger.
âPsychotic bitchâ he mumbled under his breath barely loud enough for you to hear, âepiskeyâ.
The wounds sewed themselves back together in no time and you send him a grateful smile.
âHeard you got cornered by Blaise earlierâ.
âHeard the same about you with the Weasley twinsâ.
âMmmâ you shrugged âthere was bound to be a few that didnât just automatically believe weâre dating. Some might need a little more persuasion, especially Pansy. Also it is still only the first day since the gossip broke though, it might just be that we wait for the news to settle.â
âI guessâ he rolled his eyes playing with the pasta on his plate with his fork, before pausing slightly, setting it down and turning to you.
His eyes glanced round the hall quickly before snapping back to you with a grin. Leaning towards you, he wrapped an arm around your waist to pull you slightly closer to him as his lips became level with your ear.
You fought the urge to shiver.
âOr... it just means weâll have to make it all the more believable, Sweetheart.â

Shower Friends (Miya Atsumu x F!reader)
The dorm you live in has co-ed bathrooms. Why thatâs remotely a good idea is beyond you; and recently, your precious shower time is being interrupted by a certain blonde haired setter for the volleyball team. When he lies to his teammates that he has a girlfriend, somehow you get roped into his scheme.

| Chapter One |
Chapter Two
When you turn the corner to head towards the gym, Atsumu is already waiting for you. Determined to make this as convincing as possible, he slings an arm around your shoulders and you do a fantastic job of pressing yourself against his side, wrapping your own arm around his middle. You ignore the thought that he is comfortingly warm and very solid next you, reminding yourself youâre doing this for peaceful showers.
The two of you approach the gym and as if they were waiting for you, the entire team is standing at the entrance. A few of their brows raise, clearly surprised Atsumu wasnât lying. Though some of them look suspicious, eyeing the two of you up and you prepare yourself for questions.
When you get within earshot, one of them shouts, âWow Miya, we really thought you were lying!â
âYeah! Whyâve you been hiding this beauty from us, huh?â
Before he can speak, for some reason you decide to take the blame, answering, âI was a little nervous to meet you all for a while.â
If Atsumu is surprised at all, he hides it, instead holding you a bit closer, his hand splaying across your opposite shoulder and gushing, âCute, isnât she?â
One of them who doesnât seem convinced asks, âSo howâd you meet?â
Now Atsumu takes the lead. âFunny story actually! We met in the bathroom! Her favorite shower stall is the one right next to mine, and we both like late night showers.â
You canât help the frown that turns your lips downward. âHe wouldnât leave me alone,â you admit, making the members of the team smirk a little bit. âI swear, heâd wait around for me.â
âI did not!â He pouts, and itâs beginning to look like the more suspicious members are starting to believe you.
So, you go in for the kill. âSure, you didnât,â you smile, reaching up to press a chaste kiss to his cheek that you donât give yourself time to think is okay or not. That seems to stun Atsumu, which is a feat in itself, but you donât give anyone time to think anything of it as you give them a light wave goodbye and slip out of Atsumuâs arms. âIt was nice meeting you all, but shouldnât you get to practice? Iâm sure Iâll be seeing you more often now!â
They give you parting waves, some of them just as stunned as Atsumu seems to be. On your way out, you risk a glance backwards and see them surround Atsumu, one of them pulling him into a headlock and ruffling his blonde locks while they all laugh and enter the gym. Atsumu grinning the widest of them all. You arenât sure why, but youâre smiling too. Strangely glad to have helped him out.
His teammates encircle him, clapping him on the back and congratulating him, jokingly calling him a bastard for going and snagging a girl like that. He canât help thinking the same. You shocked him with that kiss out of the blue, enough that he probably looked more lovestruck than shocked to his teammates. Heâs impressed with your commitment to this charade.
Before he disappears into the gym, Atsumu takes one last look at you heading down the path. That went perfectly. And even though he knows he shouldnât, he thinks about that small little kiss the entire practice.
The following days are absolute hell. You have to garner the courage to tell your roommate before word gets out because the rumor that Miya Atsumu finally has a girlfriend spreads like wildfire. Sheâs hurt at first, but like you suspect, she forgives you after you tell her how you and Atsumu met.
She seems to think the shower story is the most adorable thing sheâs ever heard as her squeals of, âSo cute!!â are loud enough you swear the entire floor must hear it.
Your daily routine changes, feeling like you have to peer around every corner in fear of the fan club waiting to ambush you. But after reluctantly disclosing that to Atsumu, you notice he makes a point to walk with you whenever he can. His arm wrapped around your shoulders and once when you actually do run in to the fan club, the glare he gives them is cold enough to ice over a lake and youâre pretty sure they wonât bother you even if Atsumu is absent.
Additionally, you and Atsumu start spending a lot more time together. You eat lunch with him almost every day, sometimes joined by a few members of the team, sometimes by your roommate, other times the two of you eat alone. And youâre beginning to find those are the days you like the most. The days when the two of you can just be without feeling the pressure to pretend.
âSo does your brother still play volleyball?â You ask one day, curious why if they were such a powerhouse in high school why they didnât continue that into college.
âI always liked volleyball just a little more than him.â
âHe quit?â
Atsumu shrugs, shoving another mouthful of rice into his mouth. âHe went to culinary school, always had a weird place in his heart for food.â
âAnd that was volleyball for you?â
He stares at you, unprepared for this barrage of questions. There was this strange familiarity growing between the two of you, and the more time he spends with you alone the more he feels like he knows you. It makes it easier to pretend for everyone else, but heâs starting to wonder if itâs making it harder for him to remember this is all pretend.
Before he can reply, you continue, âIf you love volleyball so much, why arenât you playing professionally then?â
His brows lift. âAnd how did yer pretty little ears hear about that?â
You roll your eyes, but definitely need to shove the feeling of embarrassment down to be able to admit, âMy roommate told me.â
âCurious today, arenâtcha?â
You stiffen. âWell, I should probably know these things if weâre dating,â you mumble, returning to your food trying to hide your flustered expression.
Yet again, you surprise him with your commitment to this façade. The two of you could easily sit here in silence since itâs just the two of you, but since youâve started eating lunch together both of you have started to get to know the other more. So, he just smiles at you and admits, âYeah, I could, but I was kinda lookinâ forward to the whole college experience, ya know?â He rests his chin in his hand, wondering if he should continue. He hasnât really told anyone his feelings about playing professionally, and how he feels that with every day he ignores the offers the less likely heâll be able to make the transition the longer he waits. âIâm still thinkinâ about it. The offers are still there.â
You cock your head, and he refuses to look at you, feeling like you have a gift for seeing straight through him. âIs college that great?â
Now he laughs, and in an attempt to bring this conversation back to lighter waters he wraps an arm around you and smothers you against his chest teasing, âYeah, otherwise I wouldnâta met you!â
You roll your eyes and tell yourself that for the sake of the charade you let yourself sink into his embrace. When he releases you, you stick your tongue out at him. âI know you purposefully changed the subject, but Iâll let it slide. Consider yourself lucky.â
He puts his hands together in a fake prayer. âIâll forever remember the kindness,â he says dramatically.
To which you scoff, âI highly doubt that.â
~
You study together when heâs available, but usually volleyball takes precedence over studying most nights. Sometimes he joins you in the library late at night, finding you in your favorite corner, plopping down beside you, blonde hair damp from the quick shower he took and distracting you from schoolwork with how practice went that day.
Already a few weeks in to your agreement, one night the two of you are in the library rather late, Atsumuâs practice ended late and he has a paper due in the morning that heâs desperate to finish. For the first hour, heâs chatty, unable to focus on what he needs to get done, despite constant reminders from you and promises that youâll go get ice cream from the dining hall when he finishes.
The next hour, he seems to get in the zone, typing furiously away on his computer. Honestly, he isnât sure if what heâs writing is even good but at this point, he doesnât care, it just needs to get done.
But after his stint of concentration, youâre suddenly struck by the realization that heâs been silent beside you for a few minutes now. No sound of typing or conversation, and it goes on long enough that you become concerned. Looking over, you find him slumped over in his chair, head on his keyboard, fast asleep.
You fight the urge to laugh at him. Taking only a few selfish moments to marvel over his face, his usual smirking expression replaced by his eyes softly closed and his mouth slightly open. He sighs a deep breath before subconsciously stretching his arms out across the table and you get a nice view of his biceps flexing beneath his black shirt.
Itâs then you become aware that youâve been staring at him way too long and shake him awake.
His eyes flutter open, and upon seeing you, that once infuriating smirk he likes to wear rises to his lips. âWho woulda thought Iâd be wakinâ up to a pretty girl lookinâ at me like that,â he drawls, knowing exactly how to fluster you.
You shake your head, laughing and packing up your things. âCome on big baby, itâs bedtime.â
âYes maâam,â he murmurs, picking his head up and promptly stuffing his things away in his bag. You decide to ignore what his soft, sleepy voice is doing to your heart rate and instead focus on how heâs putting his things away. That backfires on you, as you start thinking about how long and deft his fingers are and you have to physically look away from him to stop your mind going in that direction.
The two of you leave the library, walking quietly back to your dorm building, you arenât expecting his hand to slip into yours; those long fingers you were just trying to get out of your head intertwining with yours. You look up at him confusedly and without looking at you, he brushes it off, âJust in case.â
You press your lips into a firm line, replying, âRight.â
He wonât dare admit he did that subconsciously. He just reached out for your hand like it was the most natural thing in the world, only realizing his mistake from the confused expression you gave him. He internalizes his sigh of relief that he can pass it off as keeping up your fake relationship and you seem none the wiser.
When you make it up to your floor, at the point in the hallway where you need to split ways, despite nobody being around that you need to fake for, you press a light kiss to his cheek and say, âGoodnight Atsumu.â
Youâre gone before he can get a reply in.
~
You start coming to his games more often, dragging your roommate along (though she doesnât mind one bit) and do your best to ignore just how good he looks playing volleyball. It doesnât help that your roommate keeps commenting things like, âgod you are so lucky,â and âjust look at him!â
You are looking at him. And it pisses you off that sheâs right. Heâs annoyingly god-like, and you find yourself staring at his biceps and thighs a lot more than is necessary. Your heart fluttering traitorously whenever he grins when he makes a successful play. Even when he raises his fist to silence the crowd when he serves, which before you thought was utterly ridiculousâyou now find yourself holding your breath as goosebumps spread across your skin.
He denies to himself just how much he loves seeing you in the stands. Unable to stop the feeling that swells in his chest with the way you look at him. With the fan club, he knows all they see is the surface. Heâs cocky enough to know heâs good-looking (and if he didnât think so, the fan club certainly feels otherwise). But with youâyou look like you want to devour him. He doesnât know if you are aware of it or not, but you watch him with predatory intent in a way he canât explain that makes the hair stand up on the back of his neck.
At some point, he has to admit it. He fucking loves it.
One particularly memorable game, he swears you never take your eyes off him. And he feels like heâs at the top of his game, like nothing can go wrong for him. Heâs so full of adrenaline and excitement afterwards that when he finds you in the hallway, he sweeps you up into an enormous hug. Your laughter filling the air and godâhe loves your laugh; he could listen to it forever.
You donât even care how sweaty he is or really if anyone is watching. Your instinct is to wrap your arms around him and squeeze him back, your ego inflating from the glares you can feel boring into your back from the fan club. And itâs easyâfar too easy to forget that all of this is fake.
Especially when he pulls away only to plant a kiss right on your mouth, his body too full of adrenaline to truly realize what heâs doing.
And instead of pushing him away, you selfishly pull him closer, fingers laced behind his neck and body slotting against him so perfectly he has to resist the urge to groan. He cradles your head, drawing out the kiss for as long as he can consider appropriate, every fiber of his being screaming at him to just confess to you.
Instead, he lets you go, both of you chalking it up to the adrenaline and the charade. Both secretly knowing it was more than that to both of you.
And you donât speak of it again, continuing with your sham relationship like nothing has changed.
But a lot of things have changed. Itâs been almost 2 months since this started, well past the time needed to convince his teammates this is real. Some part of him refuses to bring it up, unwilling to let you go and wanting to drag this on for as long as possible. Â
Despite knowing that this will all have to come to an end eventually.
~
âYou gotta be there!â He pouts, doing a wonderful job of obscuring your view of the notebook on the table in front of you. âThereâs no way my girlfriend would miss it!â
You groan, head resting on the chair behind you. Atsumu has been trying to convince you for the better part of the hour to come to the party the volleyball team is throwing this weekend. No matter how many times youâve expressed your disinterest, heâs relentless.
He wiggles his brows. âIâll throw in an invitation for your roommate too,â he says, knowing full well your roommate will be a pain in your side if she finds out you got invited to this party and refrained from taking her with.
Now you sigh, annoyed that he knows you well enough to sweeten the deal like that. And it isnât the party that is deterring you, itâs a certain blonde-haired volleyball setter that youâve been getting far too close to lately thatâs making you hesitate. Something about the atmosphere of a party and a little alcohol in both of your systems makes you uneasy. And not in a bad way.
âYou promise not to ditch me?â You pout, faking the reason you donât want to attend.
He crosses over his heart. âI swear it. And besides, Iâd be crazy to let ya wander around by yerself.â He gives you a quick wink, then a kiss to your cheek and heâs off to practice, shouting over his shoulder that the party starts at nine.
Your roommate is over the moon at the invitation, insisting you canât possibly show up right at nine. So, you and she show up fashionably late around ten. Within a few moments, Atsumu finds you and gathers you up into his arms, whispering in your ear, âYouâre late, where ya been?â
You smirk. âRoommate insisted on being fashionably late.â
He just chuckles, low in his throat and directly beside your earâa sound that makes your toes involuntarily curl in your shoes. God, if youâre already curling your toes at the sound of just his voice youâre in for a long night. After releasing you, he easily greets your roommate and takes the two of you to the kitchen where cans of various alcohols are waiting.
You swear your roommate is going to combust with joy, taking a can for herself then happily heading off towards the dance floor. Youâre glad sheâs pretty independent as you can already feel youâre going to be glued to Atsumuâs side the entire night. You eye the drinks, sigh, and take one for yourself. If this nightâs going to be long, might as well enjoy it.
He just watches you, amused, and unable to stop himself from thinking about how good you fucking look tonight. He wanted you to be here not to keep up the act of your relationship but because he actually wants to spend time with you. Lately, itâs the highlight of most of his days, and sue him if he wants to have a little fun.
Setting an arm on your shoulder, he first parades you around the party, letting everyone see just who heâs âdatingâ and feeling his ego boost from the looks of jealousy he garners from a few people. The teammates who have eaten lunch with you a few times are happy to see you, indulging you in a bit of chit chat and helping loosen you up.
You mightâve been embarrassed to be on Atsumuâs arm had it not felt so damn great to be met with looks of jealousy from guys and girls alike, and it was doing wonders for your self-confidence. Enough that you tap him on the arm and ask to be taken back to the kitchen for another drink. He graciously obliges you, and once both of you have another can in hand, he finds somewhere for you two to sit.
It doesnât even occur to you how easy it is to curl up beside him, his arm around you on the back of the couch, hand resting on your opposite shoulder while the two of you observe the party in full swing.
âYou guys really know how to throw a party,â you comment, nodding to the room that was completely cleared out to make room for a dance floor.
âWhatâs that?â He teases. âI thought you didnât want to come!â
Poking him in the side and refusing to look up at him, you admit, âI changed my mind.â
You know youâve dug yourself a nice little hole when he continues, âAre my ears deceiving me? Are you admitting you were wrong?â
âSpare me,â you beg, a grin on your lips nonetheless. Itâs then you spot your roommate out on the dance floor, her eyes connecting with yours long enough that she starts beckoning you towards her. âOh god,â you groan.
She doesnât stop though, instead abandoning the dance floor and approaching you and Atsumu. âExcuse me sir, but Iâm gunna have to steal her for a dance or two.â
Subconsciously you cling to Atsumu, jerking your eyes up to him as he smiles easily saying, âOf course.â Taking your arm, she pulls you up from the couch and out of Atsumuâs arms, dragging you towards the dance floor while you look back at him with a pleading expression. He only waves idly back at you, that infuriating smirk splaying across his lips.
Worming her way into the throng of bodies, she puts her hands on your hips forcing you to sway them along to the music, laughing and encouraging you to âlet go!!â. Eventually, thereâs no resisting the thumping music or the movement of bodies around you, and soon your laughter is mixing with hers as the two of you dance ridiculously with one another.
Atsumu watches from the couch, utterly entranced at your change in behavior. Heâs unable to look at anyone else but you, like the rest of the party falls away and its just you on that dancefloor swaying your hips under the flashing lights. He hardly knows what to do with himself as you laugh alongside your roommate, unaware heâs watching you.
At some point, you remember the boy you came here for, and fight your way to the edge of the crowd to catch sight of him. Heâs where you left him, sitting on a couch a room away, an ankle crossed over his knee, still drinking his beer and looking unbothered by your absence. You look at him a moment, sitting there in his fitted black tee and dark jeans, so casually good-looking it isnât fair.
His dark eyes meet yours and thereâs something in them that sends goosebumps prickling across your skin. Youâre barely even tipsy but there must be something stirring your boldness, otherwise you would have never lifted a hand and beckoned him towards you.
Heâs pinned to his seat for a moment when you motion him to join you on the dancefloor. He has an uncanny suspicion that something is going to happen out there, under the safety of the pulsing lights and hidden by the mass of bodies. But some part of him wants that, whispering that itâs all he wants. So, he rises, setting his can on a nearby table and strides out to meet you.
A fire lights in your stomach as he stops in front of you, and now that heâs here you are quite sure what to do with yourself. âYou looked bored,â you lie.
âWell, my date ditched me,â he remarks. âBut I like her, so Iâll let it slide.â
Your answering smile is enough to send him through the roof. And soon, youâre engulfed by the surging crowd, getting sucked into the middle of the floor, a sense of reality slipping out from beneath the two of you. His hands at your waist, your body pressed up against his, his forehead resting on yoursâheâs desperate to close the gap between the two of you. Dying to kiss you, to feel your lips mold to his, fingers lacing in his hairâhe wonders what kind of sounds he could elicit from you, sounds just for him, sounds that would get lost in the thumping beat.
His better sense tells him to resist. Knowing that even though youâve kissed before, this one would be different. Itâs just the two of you, free from the pressure of pretending, he wouldnât be able to pass it off as an act. And even if he could, he isnât sure he wants to.
All the while, youâre watching him, wondering if heâs going to take the leap. Part of you urging him to. Pathetically wanting him to smother you in his arms and the two of you can just ignore it all tomorrow. Itâs seemingly what you do best.
He doesnât though, allowing him to just enjoy this momentâyour proximity, warm breath mingling with his, arms resting on his broad shoulders as the crowd undulates around you. To him, thereâs nothing else around, just you and your body fitting perfectly to his, back curved to press closer to himâheâs pitifully so lost in the way youâre moving those hips making him move along with you.
Heâs grateful that if you notice him struggling to keep his composure, you donât say anything. But when he glances at your face, youâre blissfully unaware of his plight, eyes closed murmuring along to the music and relishing the moment in your own way. Your thoughts dominated by how warm he is, how solid he feels, how his hands are resting on your back.
And the two of you stay like that, until youâre broken from your reverie by one of his teammates whistling loudly at the two of you, eyebrows wiggling suggestively that Atsumu just huffs a breath out at.
âI think I need another drink,â you say, pulling away from him.
His arms feel empty now, the clamor of the party destroying the quiet and intimate bubble the two of you had created. But instead of doing anything about it, he just gives you a winning smileâone he feels is half-assed, replying, âDitto.â

The Return
It's been 2 years since you were last in Dublin. 2 years since you up and left without warning, saying goodbye to your life there and restarting somewhere completely new. Sometimes, you have to go backwards in order to move forwards.
Requested by @noctvrnalmoth I hope you like it!
*Featuring Jim from the Delinquent Season*
Stepping off the train into the platform, you sighed. It all looked the same, and yet so different. Pulling the buggy open, you gently strapped your sleeping son in and made your way to the taxi rank, your suitcase trailing behind you. A kind lady helped you with your bags and waited with you for an available taxi.
"You look like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders there, are you okay?" She sat next to you on the bench as your son murmured adorably in his sleep. "Sorry, I don't mean to pry..."
"No don't be sorry.. just been a long time since I came back here is all. Few loose ends to tie up." You glanced at your son's sleepy features as his eyes started to open. Beautiful, ocean blue eyes alongside his dark hair, growing more every day... The memories of that night flooding back before you took a large gulp of water from the bottle in your bag, forcing them back down. You'd done so well... 2 years and you'd built a new life in London. New friends, amazing new job allowing you to put that degree in marketing to good use - you were finally making a complete fresh start. But the secrets you had buried deep inside kept coming to the surface the more your son grew. He deserved to know his roots, who his father was, you knew that, but you couldn't do it.
Choking a tear back, you thanked the kind lady for helping you as a taxi pulled up and she helped you to get in.
Pulling up outside your cousin Natalie's townhouse in the city centre, she was waiting for you at the gate to help with Jackson and your bags. Grinning from ear to ear she pulled you in for a huge hug once you'd got inside and settled on her couch as Jackson sat in this new lady's lap tugging at her earrings.
"I can't believe I'm only just meeting him y/n.. he's the image of you!!" She kissed his cheek, bringing him up to look at him properly for the first time not over Skype.
"I never see it, I just see.... I just see him I guess..." You mind wandered to the man you actually saw, but you didn't let it slip.
"Those EYES!!! So blue and vibrant, just beautiful!" Natalie was swooning now, she'd never seen eyes that blue on a baby. Your eyes were brown, so he clearly inherited them from his father, although you had never revealed his identity - just a drunken one night stand and he wasn't involved. You weren't lying, technically...
After catching up properly, Natalie told you she'd planned a few people coming over to welcome you back that evening - nothing major, just a few friends from years ago that were keen to see you after so long away.
"Oh.. yes, that would be nice... Um, who's coming?"
"Well I think David and Amanda, possibly Caroline.. I think Liam is asking Jim too but I'm not sure if he's up for it - he's been through a tough time lately.." you caught a gasp in your throat at the sound of his name. Last you heard, through Natalie, he and Danielle were going through a rough patch. Cheating accusations on both sides, they'd agreed to a trial separation. "Apparently she isn't as broken hearted as once thought - already shacked up with someone new, fancy house on the coast, new Jag on the driveway, she's doing quite well for herself!" Your chin began to wobble, not unnoticed by Natalie, who placed Jackson in his bouncer on the floor and moved to place a hand on your shoulder.
"I'm fine Nat, honestly I'm good. It was a long time ago, things have changed. I'm not that silly little girl with a crush anymore..." Natalie looked into your eyes. Nothing ever got past her.
"Y/n.. when I said I'd never seen eyes that blue, I meant on a baby. Only one person I know has eyes like that, and I think you know too. Tell me the truth, please?" You were frozen, until tears escaped and you couldn't stop them. Jackson looked to see his mum crying and began crying too. Scooping him up, you held him close.
"It happened once... Just once Nat... And he doesn't know and he doesn't need to know, let's just leave it there, yeah?"
"What?? This is Jim's son? I was almost kidding y/n... How could you keep this from him for 2 years??" She was stood up now in complete shock. Jim wasn't just her friend, he was her husband's brother - this made things even more intense. The atmosphere could be cut with a knife.
"Please Nat... This wasn't easy okay? I was 21, I slept with a married man, and I got pregnant... Then mum died.. I had to go back to London to sort out the funeral and the will... I didn't want to be seen as the homewrecker that got herself knocked up..."
"And what about Jackson? Doesn't he deserve to know his father?"
"Of course... And he would.. when I was ready Nat. And I'm not ready..."
"Not ready for what?" Liam, Natalie's husband was stood in the doorway, as you heard the front door close. Now standing next to him was the man you were desperately trying to avoid... Jim stood behind him, eyes wide at the sight of you with a baby in your arms.
"Baby, we need to go pick up that delivery from the post office, remember the one we missed last week?" Natalie pulled a confused Liam out of the room, leaving his brother and you alone.
"Y/n... Hey.. um.. how are you?" You tried to smile in response but your heart was pounding in your chest, you could barely breathe.
"I.. yeah.. um, yeah I'm okay.." you glanced down at his hand.. the wedding ring was gone. "I'm sorry to hear about you and Olivia..."
"Probably for the best eh... We weren't exactly getting along, just stayed together for the kids I think. They're older now though, they're fine. Y/n.. where did you go? Why did you go?"
"My mum was ill... She'd had a stroke and they couldn't save her, I had to go... I just stayed.. and things happened.."
"You had a baby..." He looked at the little boy in your arms, feeling extremely nervous now. "He must be just over a year old, right?" You nodded.
"13 months.."
"And we... We had sex y/n.. the day before you left..." His own breath was faltering now as the dates in his mind started to catch up. Again, you nodded, tears rolling down your cheeks. The realisation of what was happening dawned on Jim. He started to back away, before shaking his head and storming out of the house, the door slamming behind him making you and your son jump.
Your sobs came out in full force now, Liam and Natalie coming back into the room. Liam took Jackson into the kitchen to find him something to eat as Natalie held you.
"It's okay y/n... Give him time yeah? Poor guys just had the shock of his life, he'll come round." Your heart was sinking.. you hadn't meant for any of this to happen, but here it was. The memory of that afternoon had never left you, you hadn't even been able to move on - your son, for starters, looked just like him, how could you find love with anyone with the constant reminder of the man you'd never have around you 24/7.
Flashback
"I'm so sorry Jim, I didn't know who else to call..." You climbed into his car, cheeks burning as he picked you up from outside the pharmacy. You'd been walking along the road when a pothole in the pavement took you by surprise and you'd tripped, your ankle turning funny - the pain was horrific, but no one seemed to be answering your phone calls when you rang around for someone to come pick you up. Reluctantly, you'd dialled Jim's number, your cousin's brother in law. He'd given you his number the previous week, after offering to help you move into your new apartment later that month.
"No problem, I was just dropping the kids at school so I was only round the corner." He helped you into the car and drove you back to his house. "I figured your place is in boxes, no chance of a first aid kit either, I'm guessing?"
"No," You laughed. "Thank you so much.." you grimaced as you turned your foot round, trying to ease the pain.
"Definitely not broken, just need to rest it. I'll put the kettle on." Jim led you into the kitchen and sat you down at the kitchen table, and grabbed an ice pack from the fridge. Lifting your leg onto the chair opposite, he placed the ice pack onto your ankle. "Feeling okay?" He asked, flicking the kettle on and preparing two mugs of coffee.
"Much better.. thank you." Definitely better.. the physical contact from him was driving you insane, you had to swallow the blushes in your cheeks, praying he hadn't noticed.
"I've only got instant coffee... Hope that's okay - Danielle won't let me buy a coffee machine." He rolled his eyes. His wife was one of the tightest women he'd ever met.
"It's fine, thank you.. and I honestly can't thank you enough for coming to get me.. I can't believe how clumsy I am!"
"Hey those pavements are a nightmare - I'm surprised no one's broken a leg yet! Don't you be moving now, I'll take you back home once that swelling has gone down."
"How did you know how to fix it all?"
"I have a son, y/n, who at one stage a few years ago thought he was an actual superhero and would fling himself off anything to check if he could fly.. you learn the difference between a broken ankle and a twisted one pretty quick!" He laughed, remembering the time his son climbed the tallest tree in the park, giving him a heart attack before throwing himself from the top - luckily Jim caught him before he hit the floor.
"I think it's better now, Jim, I can try and walk." You said, after chatting for a while in the large kitchen.
"Let me help you.." he held your hands and guided you upright, your chests now pressed together as you placed your foot gingerly on the floor, testing it's strength. Stumbling slightly, Jim caught you, your bodies now even closer together. You could feel his heart racing, could he feel yours? His hands wrapping around yours, holding you up, an arm snaking round your waist. You looked up and found him looking right back at you, your face inches from his. Before you had time to think, you kissed him, before quickly pulling back.
"Shit I'm sorry... Oh god.. no... I'm sorry..." He took your hand in his and pulled you back to him, pressing his lips back to yours. This time you didn't pull back, your mouth opening allowing his tongue to dance against yours. Lifting you up, he sat you on top of the counter, his hands roaming your body hungrily.
"I can't... I shouldn't..." He murmured against your neck, the vibrations driving you wild with need. "You're so fucking beautiful y/n..." He ground your hips against yours, you could feel his erection through his jeans as you reached down to cup it through them, kneading it slightly. He growled, pulling your hand up to his chest, his heart hammering underneath his shirt. "You feel that? Feel how fast that's going?" Silently you took his hand and placed against your chest.
"Feel mine...." You pushed his hand down lower.. over your breast... Down your stomach and under the waistband of your skirt. His fingers found your folds, and he gasped your name. "I'm wet... I'm so fucking wet..." Lifting your skirt up, he pulled your underwear down. You relieved him of his jeans and they fell to the floor, revealing no underwear, just his huge, hard cock already leaking.
"I see you are too..." You ran a finger along the slit, taking some of the precum and lifting it to your mouth. "You taste good..."
"You want this...?" He asked, lining himself up against you. You nodded, and he pushed in easily, you gasped his name and threw your head back as he filled you completely. Pulling on your hips, he rocked you against him as he moved his own hips back and forth, fucking you against the countertop. You legs wrapped round his waist as his thrusts came harder, deeper, faster.
"Fuck... Right there... Jim... Oh god...." He bit down on your exposed neck, hands pushing against your still covered breasts, he moaned.
"Feels so good y/n... You feel so good... That's it baby, I need to feel you... Cum for me..." You leaned back, and eyes locked with his you drew a hand down to circle your clit as he moved inside you.
"Gonna make myself cum on you... Gonna cum hard for you... Faster Jim..." He pounded into you now, your moans echoing through the kitchen as you came over him, his release following seconds later. Both of you leaned your heads together as your worlds came back into focus.
Present Day
"Hey."
"Hey.." you'd agreed to meet Jim for a coffee a few days later. He'd called you the evening before, slightly tipsy which made you chuckle. Liam and Natalie were watching Jackson while the two of you caught up.
"How's the hangover?" You smiled, he grimaced.
"Well I've definitely felt fresher.. it was a bit of a shock y/n..."
"Listen.. for what it's worth.. I'm sorry. I didn't know I was pregnant until I was nearly 20weeks. With the stress of losing mum and the funeral, I hadn't had a period for a while but I thought it was just the stress.. then my friend convinced me to take a test and the doctors confirming it.. it was too late to do anything about it.. then I heard you and Danielle were trying for another baby and I just couldn't do it Jim.. I couldn't destroy your life like that.." your hands were shaking. He leaned over and took your hands in his.
"I understand y/n.. I do. I spent most of this week thinking about it. I don't blame you for what you did.. but I do wish you'd told me."
"I'd done enough damage Jim, sleeping with a married man? On his kitchen counter where he makes his kids breakfast? Where his wife makes her coffee in the morning? I couldn't face you.. I couldn't face what I'd done.."
"You know where my wife was, that morning?" He leaned back, smiling a little. "At her office, bent over the desk while her boss fucked her from behind. She called my number by accident while it happened. I didn't answer, obviously, I was busy.. but my voicemail picked up the whole thing. I'd had my suspicions for a long time, but that confirmed it. We were never trying for another baby - that's just what she told people to distract them from the fact we were clearly falling apart at the seams. Couldn't exactly be mad at her after what I'd done with you though."
"Did you tell her?"
"Yes, but she didn't know it was you. Then you up and left.. I thought there was no need to tell her who it was. I guess now we kinda have to, right?"
"Jim, I don't expect anything from you, okay? I have an inheritance from my mum, I'm fine for money, there's no need to be involved if it'll cause you problems.."
"No. You've kept him from me for nearly 2 years y/n, don't do this again, please? I'm not asking you to move in, I'm not asking for a relationship, I just want to get to know our boy.. that's all.. please?" You saw it in his eyes. It was there, for all to see. Was it love?
"I'll call Nat.. ask her to bring him over, maybe we could go for a walk?" Jim smiled, nodding. You made the call, and an hour later you were walking to the local park, Jim pushing the stroller. He took Jackson out of the buggy and placed him inside a baby swing, pushing him gently while pulling silly faces making him giggle. Your heart swelled watching them.
"He's incredible.. those eyes.."
"Your eyes, Jim." He looked up at you and smiled listening to his son's giggle, before he started becoming grouchy again.
"He's teething... Come on little man, let's get you back shall we?" Jim lifted him from the swing and placed his little finger in Jackson's mouth. He responded by sucking his gums along it, finding relief. You smiled, watching Him soothe your son's whimpers of pain as his teeth came through.
Making your way inside Natalie's house, you were surprised to find it empty. A note on the kitchen counter read that they'd gone out for the afternoon, they wouldn't be home until the evening. You warmed a bottle of milk for Jackson as Jim gave him some Calpol. Taking the bottle from you, he fed his son, as you watched, heart pounding as you watched the man you were still in love with take such good care of your baby. Within 15 minutes, Jackson was fed and had been rocked to sleep in his father's arms, you took him and placed him upstairs in his cot to nap. You knew he'd be out for at least an hour after all that fresh air. Walking back into the lounge, you found Jim sat on the sofa waiting for you.
"Come here, y/n..." You sat next to him as he turned to face you, hand gently caressing your cheek. "What are we going to do now?"
"I'm heading back to London tomorrow Jim..." His eyes glistened slightly. He'd just found his son, and now he was going again. He'd just got you back in his life, and now you were disappearing again...
"What can I do to make you stay?" His question took you by surprise. Stay?
"Jim, I..."
"I haven't stopped thinking about you.. about what happened 2 years ago. How long I'd wanted you, how long I'd dreamt of you, how I still dream of you even now.. and we share a son y/n.. I can't let you go again, it'd break me.."
"I'm half your age Jim! I'm barely older than your eldest child, how can this possibly work?" He answered with a kiss. Leaning forward to take your mouth against his, without thinking you returned it, linking your fingers with his as he pulled you into his lap.
"It'll work because we'll make it work.. nothing else matters.. all of that other stuff is irrelevant.." he felt you grind your hips against his and his erection was burning against his jeans. He needed you, now.
"And Danielle?"
"Is fucking a man old enough to be her own father - opinion invalid. I don't care about her, I care about you.. please.." he was aware of how desperate he sounded but he didn't care. He had his hand under your t-shirt against your breast, no bra in the way this time. Lifting you up, he carried you upstairs to the guest room you were staying in, and laid you down softly on the bed underneath him.
"Birth control?" He looked at you, smiling.
"The coil - don't worry, I'm covered this time.." You smiled back as he lifted your t-shirt over your head and kissed you again. The reason for being at the pharmacy 2 years ago was to collect your prescription for the pill - you'd not taken it for a couple of days after running out suddenly. After Jackson was born, you switched to a more efficient form of birth control.
Pulling your skirt down and off, along with your underwear, he nestled his face between your thighs, now parted by his hands.
"I want you to watch me y/n... Watch me as I make you cum..." Your core burning, you raised yourself up on your elbows as he blew a hot breath against your wet folds, causing you to shiver under him. He parted your lips with his fingers, before licking from your pulsing hole up to your clit, finding a rhythm that made you cry out and shudder underneath his tongue. Smiling, groaning into you, you tried to keep your eyes on him as he licked and sucked your throbbing clit in his mouth.
"Jim.. don't stop.. oh god..." You hadn't had sex since that afternoon 2 year ago, no one being good enough to compete with the man currently buried between your legs. No pleasure you'd given yourself since was a patch on this, and you felt that burning feeling in your stomach starting to rise. "I'm close... Mm... Fuck I'm close..." Your words barely a whisper but he heard them, pushing harder with his tongue as a finger entered you, hooking upwards to find that spot inside, the one you didn't think actually existed, but there it was.. you bucked against his mouth, coming hard and fast - you felt your liquids gush over his chin, there was no stopping them... "Aha... Oh god Jim... Fuck... Stop, it's too much..." He smiled, blowing another warm breath over you before moving back to your mouth. You could taste yourself on his lips, turning you on even more.
Flipping him onto his back, you lifted his clothes off him and kissed down his chest. Your core needed a breather before you took him inside you. Licking the top of his now rock hard cock, you slowly sank your lips down, taking him fully inside your mouth. You'd never had a strong gag reflex, and you enjoyed the feeling of his cock hitting the back of your throat.
"Holy fuck... Jesus y/n... That's it baby..." Up and down your head bobbed, swapping between hard and light sucks, your teeth gently scraping the underside of his cock and your fingers lightly playing with his balls underneath you. Every time you felt them tighten, you'd ease off, allowing him to catch his breath, before bringing him into your mouth again. After a few near explosions, he couldn't take anymore and lifted you off motioning for you to sit on him. "Ride me y/n..." You smiled, and sank your pussy onto him, allowing him to fill you. Slowly so as to adjust to his length, your hips moved, back and forth, up and down, finding the right rhythm for you both. He sat up, chests together and his hands under your thighs as he rotated his hips from underneath, driving his cock against that magical spot again.
"Yes... God that feels good... Jim..."
"I'm not gonna last long y/n..."
"That's okay.. we've got plenty of time to make up for this... Cum in me, give me all of you..." You felt his cock twitch inside you as he moved your hips faster. Leaning back, you rode him hard, the bed frame squeaking underneath as you both cried out, your climaxes arriving simultaneously. Coming back to rest your head against his, you clenched your core once more causing him to gasp as you drew yourself off him slowly. Lay down next to each other, he pulled you into his arms.
"Did you mean what you said?" He asked, kissing your head gently. "Plenty of time?"
"I meant it, Jim... I need to get back to London to sort a few things, put my flat up for sale.. my job... But yes. If you'll have us, we'll come back.." you looked into his eyes. He lifted your head to kiss you and you felt it. All the love you thought you'd never find, in the man you thought you'd never find it with.
Everything was going to be fine, you couldn't wait to start your life over again, this time for the last time.

First Love | 11
Yoongi x reader | 18+ | college au | tattoo artist au | angst | fluff | swearing
Word: 2.6k
You first saw him in the multi-purpose room. Later learn his name, and on your third year, as he becomes your neighbor, you discover his lifestyle. Knowing your crush on him was nothing but that, you wanted to find the courage to look for love. Asking your friend for help, youâre pointed in the direction of the expert. Your neighbor, Min Yoongi
Chapter Index
Itâs been about a week since you last saw Yoongi. A week since youâve discovered that he has a past with Sam, the girl you met at the party, but youâre not fully sure if itâs the same Sam and what past they have.Â
You never told Ari about this. It was too⊠embarrassing for you to mention. You did what Ari didnât want you to get hurt about, and youâre deeply hurt. Sure you didnât do the actual thing with Yoongi like a lot of girls have, but what you did and what happened after caused a silence between the two of you. Itâs not like youâre avoiding him the way heâs avoiding you. He hasn't texted you or talked to you, and Hoseok says thereâs usually a girl in his room so he has to wait for her to leave before he can go in.Â
Ari would give you worried glances, but youâd brush it off like youâre not about to cry because your feelings for him grew ten times more. When you left his room and went to yours, you lied in bed and cried yourself to sleep. Just like you did the first night of the year. That fear you felt when you were in that room only proved to be right. This ended badly and youâre left feeling empty.
Right now youâre sitting in class trying to focus on the lecture rather than on Sam and Yoongi, and you and Yoongi. You want to know who this girl is and what past they have together to make Yoongi sound so hateful. The only person you can ask is the person who knows him best. Thankfully youâre meeting Ari and Hoseok for lunch after class.Â
As your professor finishes his lecture, you pack your belongings and leave the room like a lot of eager students who are just done listening to long rambles about night photography and how to have a better advantage when taking them. Walking down the hallway, you reach the stairwell and follow the group of people heading down. When youâre out of the building, you make your way towards the food court where Ari and Hoseok will be waiting.Â
Not having your earphones in, youâre stuck with listening in on others conversations. Nothing is interesting to you; they talk about class or âthe bastard is gonna get his ass beat when I see him this weekendâI canât believe he cheated on meâ. Conversations you can care less for. You have your own problems and one of those is how to bring Sam up in a conversation without causing Ari to get suspicious and cause Hoseok to question things. Sweet Hoseok is oblivious, and you want to keep it that way when you ask about her.Â
Off into the distance, further away from the court, compared to you, is Hoseok chatting with someone. Your face lights up in realization as you pick up the pace to the food court. With another quick glance at Hoseok, and realizing heâs making his way over, you lightly jog inside and scan the area for Ari. Youâre starting to feel the panic as Hoseok gets closer and closer to the building while your eyes continue to glance back and forth in the room.Â
Where is she?
âY/N over here,â her voice rings, hand waving towards you from the far left corner of the room.Â
You almost run to her now as you throw your bag on a chair next to you and rush, âWhatever I ask Hoseok play alongâIâll explain everything laterââÂ
Hoseok has just arrived. âHey guys,â he says, smiling as he takes a seat next to Ari and places a kiss at her temple.Â
You try your best to act like nothing happened. âHey. Are you guys ready to eat? Iâm starving,â you tell them, voice wavering just a bit from the adrenaline of just a simple beating him here.Â
âYeah, letâs get some grub,â he agrees, smiling oh-so happily as he gets up. To your luck he never catches on, but Ariâs now staring at you with a curious look. You give her a begging look and that is all you need to do before she gives up and plays along with your request, but you know sheâll be barking questions the second the two of you are alone. âWhat are you guys in the mood for? I got an A on my performance so itâs my treat,â Hoseok explains, a huge grin on his face as he wraps his arms around Ariâs and your shoulders.Â
âIâll never deny free food, and congrats, babe.â Ari gets on her tiptoes and places a kiss on his cheek. Â
âThanks, baby, and donât even argue with me Y/N, youâre letting me pay today,â Hoseok concludes without giving you a chance to deny his offer.Â
You sigh, âThen can I have Chinese?â You point to the stand next to the Greek food stand.Â
âIâm down for some Chinese,â Ari inputs.Â
âChinese it is!âÂ
After spending five minutes waiting for Ari to decide what she wants, getting in line and placing your order, and finally getting your food, the three of you sit at the table, munching on your orders. Ari and Hoseok spend a majority of the time talking while you struggle to find a way to bring up Yoongi and Sam. There never seems to be a perfect moment, and the longer you wait, the closer you get to finishing your food and leaving for the day while Hoseok goes back to class.Â
But itâs like fate is on your side as Hoseok says, âYoongi seems to be having a lot of girls over because almost every day when I go to the room, thereâs a piece of red tape on the door. This is worse than usual. I know I said this before, but I really want to go in my room once in a while without having to wait all the time.â
It hurts. It hurts more than anything to hear that again, but you canât let that pain show on your face even as Ari glances at you with a worried expression once again. âOh, yeah,â you begin, swallowing the lump in your throat, âI forgot to say this last time, but some time last week I heard someone knocking on his door. It was a girl and it sounded like Yoongi wasnât happy to see her there,â you claim, leaving out the details of being in his bathroom rather than in your room.Â
Hoseok frowns. âReally? Did you happen to catch her name or what she looks like?â
âI didnât see what she looks like, but I think he said Sam?â You try to look like youâre struggling to remember what he said, but his words are so clear in your head.Â
You can see the slight shock on Hoseokâs face as he mutters, âOh.âÂ
So he does know Sam. âDo you know her?â you question.Â
Hoseok can only shake his head as he answers, âYeah. Sheâs Yoongiâs ex girlfriend.âÂ
You need more information. You feel desperate for more information. âWhat happened between them? It has to be something bad since he didnât sound happy and you donât look like sheâs a great person.âÂ
Hoseok picks at his food, taking a quick glance at you. âYou canât tell him I told you this.âÂ
You do your best not to look eager as you nod. âOf course.âÂ
âThey met when they were sophomores in high school. It was an immediate attraction, and after five months they were dating. Theyâve been together for four years before they broke up last year.â
âWhy did they break up?â Ari asks, seemingly invested in Yoongiâs past just as much as you are.Â
He sits back, running a hand down his face. âWhen Yoongi is dedicated to something, heâs dedicated. Heâs also not good at expressing his feelings. In high school and even now he works on making music, so he tends to be cooped up in his room for days. Sam wanted attention from himâyou know, to know he still loves her, but Yoongi struggles with that. Last year Yoongi caught her cheating on him, and that was the end of that.âÂ
You canât think of anything to say. He met a girl; he fell in love, and now heâs heartbroken. How long did it take for him to fall in love with her? How long will he continue to let this eat him whole?Â
âThat must have sucked,â Ari mutters with a sincere tone.Â
âYeah, and Iâm really hoping the girl that is in the room isnât her,â Hoseok groans, taking a bite of his food.
âNever get back with an ex. Especially if theyâve cheated on you,â Ari recites, as if itâs an actual rule written in a book somewhere.Â
âWhat does she look like?â you inquire. You have to know that the woman you met at the party, the nice girl who made you feel a bit more comfortable being there... You have to know that she is not the Sam that broke Yoongiâs heart. But the memory of Yoongiâs dejected look flashes in your head.Â
It is her. You know it. You were his distraction in the bathroom when he saw her that day.Â
âShe has like red blondish hair? Brown eyes. Sheâs a theater arts major, so if youâve gone to plays you may have seen her.â He shrugs, finishing the rest of his food.Â
âPlays? Iâve been to a few.â Ari taps her chin in thought. âIâm trying to remember a girl with that hair color. What plays has she been in?â
âUhhhâŠâ he trails off, eyes darting back and forth a bit as he tries to remember. âThe last time I saw one was when she was in Shakespeareâs The Taming of the Shrew. She was Katherine? Iâm not a pro at Shakespeare, so Iâm not totally sure if she played that character.âÂ
âOh! The strawberry blonde? Sheâs gorgeous,â Ari comments, eyes wide with surprise.
Yeah, she really is, you confirm, remembering how pretty she is and how her laugh was so bubbly and warm. You can feel a tinge of jealousy boiling in the pit of your stomach. Sheâs pretty, friendly, funny and so much more. Yoongi fell in love with her. Heâll never fall in love with you, and you hate yourself for thinking about that.Â
âYouâve seen her before?â Ari asks.
You blink a few times in realization that you said those words out loud. âYeah. She was at the party I went to. She was the other team I was playing against in beer pong.âÂ
âReally?â Hoseok baffles, voice louder than before. Ari covers his mouth, smiling apologetically to the eyes glancing in your direction. Theyâre the perfect couple when it comes to being loud. He removes his girlfriendâs hand from his mouth. âNo wonder Yoongi was acting weird when he came back. He was in a pissy moodâmore than usual,â he adds.Â
âDamn. He must really hate her.â Ari shakes her head, pressing the lock button on her phone to check the time. âOh, babe you should go. Class starts in ten,â she tells Hoseok, looking to him as her phone goes black once again. Â
Taking a quick glance at his watch, his eyes widen before he closes the lid to his box, picking it up along with his backpack. âYouâre right. Iâll see you guys later.â Giving a quick kiss to Ari, Hoseok quickly leaves the food court.Â
The second heâs out of sight, Ariâs attention is now on you. âSo are you going to tell me what that was about?â
You sigh. You canât have a second to yourself before she bombards you with questions, but itâs just like you predicted. âWell what I told Hoseok was what I told you to wait for.â You avert your gaze. âExcept I was in Yoongiâs bathroom when Sam knocked on his door.âÂ
âWhat were you doing in his room?â You can see the hint of curiosity and playfulness dance on her face.
âWhat happened that day was a mistake. Sam clearly wants him back, and Yoongi hasnât spoken to me since that day.â You can see that Ari wants more information as to what happened that day, but you just arenât ready to tell her. Tell her what will most likely be the biggest mistake youâll ever make. âIâll tell you some time, Ari. Just not now.âÂ
Her being your best friend, she can tell your distress and can only nod, reaching across the table to take your hand in hers. âWhenever youâre ready, hon, Iâll be here and ready to beat ass if necessary.â You nod, now fighting the urge to cry all over again. Youâve been fighting the urge to cry almost every day, and you feel ridiculous about it. âWant to head back to the dorm?âÂ
You nod again, closing the lid to your entrĂ©e box. You grab your backpack, along with your food and follow her to the trash can to toss the food and follow her out of the building. Walking through the crowd, Ari loops her arm through yours, smiling as she leads you to the bus stop to wait for your ride back to the dorm.Â
A short, and somewhat crowded ride later, you and Ari lie in your own beds staring up at the ceiling in silence. âI know I have a paper to write, but right now I could care less what the four main issues Hunston discusses regarding in corpus design are. I think Iâd rather talk about the Tokugawa era and its fall than anything with corpus linguistics,â Ari complains, the sound of her feet hitting her bed filling the silence.Â
You frown in confusion. âWhat?â
âExactly!â she whines, âWhy did I decide to take five classes this semester?â
âWhy did you?â you ask her, turning to your side to see her through the mirror. She canât see you though, so it always makes you feel a bit weird staring at her without her really knowing it.Â
âI want my last semester to be the easiest,â she answers, her smile spreading across her lips. The smile leaves as she sits up and stares at you. Seeing her serious expression, you sit up and look at her. âIf you donât want to do this with Yoongi anymore you should tell him. Iâll make something up to Hoseok if he asks.â
You give her a small smile as your gaze goes down to your hands on your lap. You know you have to end things with him. If you continue to receive these lessons itâll only hurt you in the end. You canât keep pushing yourself onto this hope that heâll one day fall for you. No matter how much you wish for his attention, youâll never get it. âYeah, I know,â you whisper, blinking back the tears.Â
You hear her moving around before the sound of her feet hitting the floor causes you to look up. She grabs her white water bottle. âIâm gonna go fill up my bottle and then find Rollan downstairs because I have questions about bringing a cat in here.â You chuckle. âBe back,â she sings, opening the door and leaving the room.Â
When the door closes with a bang, you let out a shaky sigh and grab your phone thatâs hidden under your pillow. You unlock it, going to your contacts and search for his name. Once you tap on his name and open the text, you type away with shaky fingers.Â
[1:14 pm] Me: Hey. After thinking about it, I feel like Iâve learned enough to try and find someone on my own. I wonât be needing those lessons anymore. I hate you.
Deleting the last sentence, you hit send.

Old Faces
Summary: The love of his life, the one that got away, finally comes back into Samâs life and he loves the life they build together, but something... is off... Word Count: 2,490 Pairing: Sam Wilson x Reader Warnings: Angst, panic attack, anxiety attack, implied smut
(Hate to do this to my man Sam, I love him to death and he deserves the entire universe. Part one of two. (Find Part 2 here))
Sam could never forget the first time he met you; Riley brought him home after their first tour together since Sam didn't have a family to come home to. Not that Riley had one either, he only had one person; his goddaughter, you. Sam had a pretty good idea of who you were since, according to him, Riley never shut up about you. He was so proud of you; you got into Quantico at 21, two years younger than their typical admission age of 23! You picked them up at the airport in late November, almost a week before Thanksgiving and you wore jeans with a dark blue hoodie, the words 'FBI Quantico' written in white on the front. You were vibrant, full of life and excitement. By the time Thanksgiving was over and he was going to his own place, he was head over heels in love with you. The only guilt he had was that you were only 23 at the time, more than 15 years his junior. By the time he'd worked up the nerve to ask Riley for permission, they were already due for their second tour; it'd have to wait until they got back. But, they never came back, Riley never came back. The same Sam Wilson that left was not the man who returned.
Five feet was all that was between him and the love of his life. Five feet between him and the one that got away, the one he never thought he'd see again. You just waltzed right into the VA, out of all the Veterans Affairs offices in the entire city of New York and you just walked right into the one he worked at in his free time, when he wasn't busy being an Avenger. He hadn't seen you in at least five, maybe seven years and he could see how you'd changed just in the way that you moved and conversed with the receptionist. You'd gained some muscle mass, that much was obvious even with your jacket on. You must've injured your left shoulder too, he could tell moving it too much or too quickly was painful, or at the very least uncomfortable. You wore a tired expression on your face, but not tired like you hadn't gotten enough sleep, tired like you'd just gotten out after fighting an unwinnable battle for too long. He knew exactly how that tired felt. Something about the moment seemed not-quite-right, it felt off. He couldn't place it so he ignored it.
So he approached you hesitantly, giving a small wave to get your attention; he'd learned his lesson about startling soldiers when Bucky nearly choked him for entering the living room and sitting on the couch too quietly. He watched you look over him for a brief second before recognition his and you nearly tackled him in a hug. He heard you groan quietly at the sudden movement but just tried to avoid adding pressure to your shoulder when he returned the tight hug "you're a sight for sore eyes, (y/n)." "So are you Sam, is this where you've been hiding?" You asked him with a teasing smile. "Sam Wilson never hides, what about you? Where the hell have you been?" He countered with a wide grin. "All over the place; DC, New Orleans, and now with any luck, New York permanently," you answered him, the two of you walking slowly as you conversed. "What do you do these days? And what brings you here?" He was curious as to where you'd been all these years. He hoped to god you weren't already married.
"Hm, I wonder what could possibly bring me to the Department of Veterans Affairs, I can't quite place my finger on it," you sarcastically thought out loud, making him roll his eyes. He was still smiling "very funny, I meant New York." "Work. I've been going around to different colleges teaching things like military history, strategic intelligence, and general polemology, and I just landed a more permanent position at Columbia," you answered with a casual shrug. He started to ask where you served but Steve calling him stopped that "Sam, we're needed at the tower!" He sighed quietly and sent you an apologetic smile "give me your number and we'll-" He paused, looking at you in shock when he saw his phone in your hand. You gave it back after a couple of seconds and smiled "old habits die hard, we'll get together later." "You need to stop pickpocketing people," he said as he smirked at you before jogging over to his friend.
Sam finally got back to you a week and a half later and you two caught up over coffee. He was repeatedly left awestruck when you told him about what you'd been up to. Gradually, your get-togethers turned from getting coffee two or three times a week to grabbing dinner and just getting together to talk and reconnect. It took a while and a lot of prodding from Bucky and Steve before he finally asked you on a proper date. He actually asked you out on Riley's birthday, you both had a laugh at that. Your dates were frequent, mainly whenever his Avenger schedule allowed it. He couldn't wait to introduce you to everyone, he watched as you easily blended in with and meshed with everyone. It was perfect. You were perfect. Still, something seemed not-quite-right, it felt off. Yet, he still couldn't place it so he ignored it.
A year together flew by before either of you knew it. He'd already been contemplating when the perfect moment would happen but now, watching you look over the entire city from the Empire State Building Observation Deck with the sun setting behind you, he knew there'd never be a better time. He'd commit this moment to his memory for the rest of time. He got down on one knee while you were looking through one of the telescopes and took the little velvet box out of his pocket. He could see a few people stopping to watch out of his peripheral vision. When you finally did let go of the telescope and looked at him, you were visibly shocked "Sam? Are you-" You couldn't even finish the question as your eyes started to water when he nodded. His smiling face looked up at you as he, and all of the onlookers gathered around, desperately waited for a response. He watched as you nodded quickly, letting the happy tears fall "yes, hell yes!" He and the group that congregated around you cheered as he picked you up and spun you happily. He pointed over to where Redwing had been perched on a pole "Steve's been manning him so I could have this on video for us." You just laughed and pulled him into a kiss, feeling like you were both on cloud nine. This would be one of the greatest moments of his life. Still, something still felt off. He continued ignoring it. It must've been a little paranoia, so he brushed it off.
Both the wedding and the reception were small and intimate. Tony offered the compound for the tower for the venue and with much help from Pepper, he turned it into the most beautiful place you'd ever seen. Wanda, Pepper, and Natasha helped you pick out a wedding dress. While the three of them were eager to help you and Sam pick and plan, Steve and Bucky stepped back since they didn't have a clue. They helped Sam get the perfect suit; navy blue suit and jacket, white dress shirt, and a dark maroon tie. Planning started in January, a month after he proposed and you wed in May. He nearly cried when he saw you walking down the aisle, clearly holding himself back. You, however, didn't hold any tears back when you two exchanged vows, having to stop yourself at least eight times when you recited your own. Somehow, Vision got ordained, but nobody asked questions. The kiss you two shared was perfect, this was without a doubt, the absolute greatest moment of his life. Except, it felt off. But Sam was far too happy to pay any mind to the feeling he'd grown so used to ignoring.
Despite you and Sam both insisting a weekend away would be a good honeymoon, everyone wanted to send you off to somewhere nice for a couple of weeks. After collective brainstorming, they decided on and booked you two a 14-day all-inclusive honeymoon in Santorini, Greece. You were both pushed onto the Quinjet before you could object at all. Someone had already packed bags for both of you and loaded them on. The ride wasn't as long as you thought it would be and Clint bid you both goodbye and good luck. The hotel room was opulent; it was decorated beautifully with paintings and native flora and fauna, rose petals on the bed, a chilled bottle of champagne sat on the table; it honestly felt like a dream. "Well, Mrs. Wilson, shall we?" Sam asked but when you tried to step into the room, he picked you up bridal style and carried you inside. He set you down on the bed gently but quickly positioned himself over you, his forearm holding him up with his free hand stroked your cheek, looking into your eyes with such love and adoration it almost made you cry again. "I love you so much, and I always will," he whispered softly as he trailed kisses from your lips down along your jawline and to your neck. "I love you too, Sammy, more than anything," your voice was quiet, your mind too focused on the way he was kissing and paying special attention to that one sweet spot on your neck.
For the first three days, you and Sam spent the entire time in your hotel room, intertwined with each other in an intimate dance. Exploring the island was incredible, Sam loved watching you admire everything and really take in the culture. He never missed an opportunity to take new pictures of you. You were sending plenty of pictures to the team, thanking them a million times over for this gift. Sam particularly enjoyed watching you in the crystal clear turquoise waters. Watching you was like being ensnared by a siren's song, and it was a song he never wanted to end. Reality felt off but he'd long ago accepted it was just his subconscious waiting for the other shoe to drop.
"Sam, wake up," your voice said as Sam was lightly shaken. Except, it wasn't exactly your voice, it sounded... off. He turned over and went to toss his arm around your waist and pull you close but was met with nothing. He furrowed his brows and looked around the room for you. Nothing. "(Y/n)?" Sam called as he got out of bed, pulling on whatever was closest to him. No answer. You weren't in the room or the bathroom, you weren't on the patio. He knows you would've left a note if you had gone somewhere. He starts to worry, he grabs his phone and scrolls through his contacts for your number but it's not there, neither are your text messages to each other; your pictures together are gone too. Even as Sam starts to full-on panic, he sees things around him starting to fade away; when he tries to grab something for stability, his hand goes through it. Soon, with everything gone, he's left in a white space with nothing around him. "Sam?" A distorted voice calls out, it's too masculine to be yours.
It sounds familiar, almost like Steve but not quite. "Sam, we need you to wake up right now," another equally distorted voice says and he swears he feels like someone lightly slapped his face. "Somebody go get Bruce!" a third voice calls, more of an order than a request; it was feminine but not yours, it sounded a bit like Natasha but not quite. "His vitals are spiking quite rapidly, he could be in danger very soon if we don't wake him up immediately," a digitalized voice said. Was it Vision, maybe?
Before Sam knew what was happening, he jolted up to a sitting position, gasping for breath. He was in his room at the Tower, everyone around him. He was soaking wet now and Bucky was holding an empty bucket behind his back. His eyes darted around the room anxiously as he questioned rapidly "where is she? What happened? How'd I just get here?" "Whoa, whoa, Sam, where's who?" Steve asked calmly as he gave his friend a towel. "What do you mean 'who'? My wife! My soulmate! Where's (y/n)?" He questioned, his anxious state making it come out harsher than he intended. Everyone still in the room shared a curious look before Steve cleared his throat "you aren't married Sam. You said you weren't feeling well last night so you went to bed early; you've been asleep for almost a whole 24 hours. We all rushed in when we started hearing things, then we heard screaming." Steve explained with a small frown. "We've been trying to wake you up for half an hour, whatever you were dreaming about must've been nuts," Bucky said, earning a look from Steve.
"His vitals are returning to normal, FRIDAY will keep a close eye though," Vision stated. Sam now sat in his bed in deep contemplative silence. "Do you need anything?" Steve asked, setting a hand on his friend's shoulder comfortingly. Sam shook his head after a long minute "no, I think I just need to be alone for a bit to process." Steve nodded and headed for the door, Bucky following with Wanda and Clint in tow. Natasha sent him a small smile and stopped on her way out "call any one of us if you need something, anything at all." He nodded, watching her close the door behind her. He felt a lump in his throat; the best year of his life was a dream. The love of his life, his soulmate, coming back into his life was a dream. He wanted to yell, punch something, cry, rip his hair out, do something/anything to get rid of the pit he felt in his heart now. He wasn't going on without you anymore, he'd done his best to forget and suppress so you could find someone who didn't have nearly two decades on you but he couldn't anymore. He knew you were his soulmate when he first met you but he suppressed it, assuming it was misplaced affection. He knew when he and Riley shipped out for the second time that you were his soulmate because now, he wasn't fighting for the country out of respect or loyalty, he was fighting so you specifically could have a good be safe in this country. Now, he absolutely knew you and him were meant to be together, and he was going to find you. He couldn't bear the pain of knowing who his soulmate was and not having you.

MATT CASEY
Hatred and fatherly love.
Requested: yes
Prompts: none
Warning(s): none
Author's note: I had a lot of fun with this one. I'm still thinking about whether or not I should just keep the ending as it is or make a part two where (as requested) they fall for each other. But if I'm being honest I kind of dig feisty Y/N that stands her ground.

MASTERLIST
"Justin what you did was wrong," You fumed, handing him the last of your boxes to load into the truck. He took them without saying a word, letting you take out your frustration on him. "I can't believe dad would do that."
"Oh come on," Your older brother groaned. "Now you're acting like Erin."
"Damn right I am," You agreed. "Unlike dad, Erin and I want you to learn from your mistakes. Obviously, that's not gonna happen if dad keeps babying you."
"So what?" His words came out immaturely, making you punch his shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?"
"For being an asshole! That little boy is paralysed from the waist down because of you!"
"You're overreacting."
"You know what, I give up." Your hands curled around the car doors before they released when you shut the door closed. Anger took permanent residence in your chest.
You shot your brother a glare before jumping into your car. "Thanks for helping me pack."
And with that you sped off to your new home.
***
The apartment complex you moved to was considered to be a jackpot. With that being said, if there was one thing that you liked about having Hank Voight as your father, it was the very comfortable lifestyle you could afford with just your name.
Of course, you were mad at your father right now. What he did to get your immature brother out of trouble was all kinds of wrong, and you didn't support it at all.
"Do you need help with that?" A cool voice told you in passing. You had your hands filled with boxes, and you could barely register what was in front of you.
Before you could say anything hands were already easing the weight in your arms. You smiled sheepishly, scratching the back of your neck shyly.
"Thanks. I just moved here," You explained quickly before looking at the man who offered his help to you. He held the two boxes in his one hand, the other one free for you to take in a greet. "I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you."
"Matt Casey. You can call me Matt."
Inside, you were panicking. The firefighter who currently hated your father and brother with a passion was standing in front of you.
You smiled shakily before a voice called out. "Miss Voight. There are some papers you need to sign."
The way Matt's eyes narrowed at you looked sinister, almost as if he was ready to swallow you up in flames or maybe even leave you in a burning building to die if it ever came down to it.
You didn't know what to say, only mumbling apologies to him before scurrying over to sign some papers.
And when you came back to where Matt once stood, you found your two boxes down on the floor.
Great. My new neighbour hates my guts.
***
Over the next few days Matt and you had managed to establish a routine. You'd both see each other in the hallways very frequently but never actually greet each other. By Tuesday, you were already used to the icy glares and the feeling of being the most hated woman on earth.
You even managed to make a game out of it. What does he think I do for living, it was called. Your number one guess was that he thought you were a dirty cop. Like your father obviously.
But then again, you swore you could see his eyes linger on your legs in passing every time you wore a skirt or a dress. So yet again, another one of your guesses was that he thought you were a stripper.
As fun as it was to make games out of your non-existent relationship it hurt you to be treated in a way you didn't deserve.
The truth was - you worked as a nurse, specifically working with little children. Every day you saw their parents take down stars in order to make their little ones happy and as messed up as it sounded you saw yourself categorizing your own father with them. The only difference between them and your own father was the fact that your father did what he did to protect you in a way that some people didn't seem to find fit.
People like Matt for instance.
And while you understood both sides, you leaned toward Matt. What Justin did was awful and your mind was set in stone - he deserved time. He had to sit in a cell and feel what is like to be at the bottom before he could even begin thinking about changing for the better.
Sadly that's not what happened.
As you walked back to your new apartment the bags under your eyes became more evident. You had lost a patient today. A little baby girl lost to cancer in a battle called life. It left a mark at your heart, and her smiling face was still misty in your mind.
Your eyes spotted Matt who strode down the hallway dressed in a simple button up and jeans, looking extremely handsome.
You couldn't really blame yourself for ogling him. No matter what you told yourself, Matt Casey was still the type of man that had you on your knees.
His eyes returned to his usual glare and while normally you weren't affected by that, today his eyes were the last straw.
Your lip started to tremble, while your eyes were filling with moisture and hands were aggressively stuffed in your purse in a frantic search for your keys.
Matt's face immediately softened but before he could reach you, you had jumped inside and locked the door behind you.
Exhausted by life, you slowly slid down the door until your bottom had hit the dark laminate. You sobbed in a matter you thought was quiet.
But it wasn't.
Matt had pressed his ear against your door and listened closely. Your whimpers entered his ears and he felt everlasting guilt consume him. Did he do this?
He decided then and there that he was going to let go of his prejudice and make things right between you two.
***
Once the sun came out you realized that you were obligated to wake up and start your new date. Just like every time, you pretended to turn over a clean sheet and start your day as your best self.
Your morning routine passed rather quickly. Pretty soon you were sat in your new colorful armchair with tea in your hand and a magazine in the other.
You, just like many others, learnt how to leave your days work in your uniform. Last night being an exception. Once you put that blue uniform back on you were sure to welcome back the dark feelings, but until then, you enjoyed the feeling your silky pyjamas provided.
Your phone rang, and you reached out to answer it. One look at the phone had your face scrunched in distaste, "Yes Justin? How may I be of help today?"
If your brother noticed the sarcasm then he sure did a good job concealing it. Monotonously he greeted you back, "Can't I just call my favourite sister to see how she's doing?"
Rolling your eyes you trekked to your room to change, "Make it quick. I have to go to work."
"Dad's in jail."
"What?" You stopped in your tracks, hardly believing what's happening.
"You know dad." He said, "Don't worry sis. He'll be out in no time."
"This isn't funny Justin," You scolded, throwing a dark purple shirt over your head while your phone sat on your vanity, Justin on full volume speaker.
"Well... I thought you should know."
And with that he hung up.
Annoyed beyond words you grabbed the phone and threw it on your bed. It landed on your creamy sheets safely as you wrestled your jeans.
After that spectacle you grabbed your bag and stormed outside only to clash into something strong.
"Shoot I'm sorry-" You hastily apologized. Your hair was all over the place and you barely had enough time to collect your strands of hair behind your ear before looking at the person you had assaulted with your clumsiness not even twenty seconds earlier.
Matt Casey.
Oh how the stars aligned for you two.
"You." You spit.
He raised a blonde eyebrow at you as if saying that you had no audacity to say anything remotely accusing to him.
"Me?"
"Yes you!" You stomped your heeled boot like a child. "My dad's in jail because of you!"
It was like a switch was turned in his head. Matt took a menacing step closer. "Because of me? He did that to himself when he sent someone to kill me!"
"K-kill you?" You whispered, almost inaudible for him to hear. Suddenly your own words worked against you.
"Just because I wouldn't pull back my report." He explained to you. "And I'm glad I didn't. Your bastard of a brother deserves it for what he did."
You fully agreed with him but the emotions that bubbled inside you came to a boiling point. You could no longer hold back, and so you took a deep breath and spoke. "You think I support him? He got that little boy paralysed and you have the audacity to think I would support someone like that? He may be my older brother but that doesn't mean he has my love and support. I'm the first one in line when it comes to saying he needs to do time."
Your words were getting through to him, you could see it. "And as for my dad... He has his own issues, I admit. But there's one thing you need to know about him: he would do anything for his kids. And I mean it. He might be a dirty cop to you, but he's my father. Justin's too. Don't blame him for thinking that his son is able to change, because I'm damn sure you would do the same if you were in his shoes."
And with that you stormed off to see your father and give him a piece of your mind too.
