I'll literally never understand adults who think that they have to "grow up" (translation: be boring). Or think that they're too old to learn/do anything new at the wizened old age of, idk, 45? If you live an interesting life, it only gets moreso with time. Age yourself like a fine wine, I say. And if for 45 years you've done nothing but work and watch football, while yes that's very depressing and demoralising, it doesn't mean you're magically barred from taking up competitive basket weaving.

But anyway, I think, other than teenagers, those medias must be targeted towards those people who think everything fun and creative has to end in highschool. Imo, stories are almost always more interesting when they're about adults. More mature (hopefully), complex, nuanced. This is also why I'm not fond of Highschool AUs--teenagers just aren't as interesting.

This isn't to say there aren't teenagers in media I adore (God I love Yuri Plisetsky so much), but even they tend to be in media about adults.

Part of getting older is realizing how absolutely insane it is that basically every form of media is constantly trying to convince us that the most interesting moments of the lived human experience are happening in HIGH SCHOOL…… girl who gives a flying fuck what 16 year olds are doing.

It's a Deal, Off With Your Head, Bind the Heart and Split Card are very useful for his daily activities as a ruler, he uses Oasis Maker to water his garden and help in times of drought, I See You is mostly used to keep prized possessions in check and Sleep Kiss has saved plenty of people.

The more destructive abilities like King's Roar are mostly used in times of peril (or when he wants to be petty and dramatic), and the same goes for Bet the Limit. Shock the Heart, Laugh With Me and Snake Whisper are very useful for intel gathering or pranks.

He uses Unleash the Beast whenever he visits a colder climate or just wants to change forms without turning into a dragon (he becomes a black wolf with green eyes, very fluffy). Doodle Suit is often used to make food taste terrible (he misses Lillia, even his atrocious cooking), while Fairest One of All protects all gargoyles frim erosion.

Far Cry Cradle is used to reminisce fond memories, and he likes to use Meet Me in a Dream to visit Ortho, who is still alive. He LOVES dashing around with Living Bolt.

He can't exactly use Gate to The Underworld, since it's hereditary and troublesome, so Idia gave him an indestructible tablet with a custom gargoyle game and a "Idia Mode" (the tablet makes annoying remarks, like "GG Folks" or "This RNG really is awful").

Antis, I think y'all need to understand some things:

Emotions = / = legality or morality

A crime is not a crime because it's "icky".

A crime is a crime because someone in some way got hurt. This is why something like thievery is illegal. This is why murder is illegal. This is the real reason why rape is illegal.

These crimes caused real people real emotional and physical distress.

A drawing/cartoon/written work can make someone sad or angry or squicked out, but that is NOT the same thing as being traumatized. Reading a bad book is not something that will affect your psyche for years to come and will possibly need therapy for. A real person is not being harmed, especially not the viewer/reader. You're not a victim, you're not standing up for victims, stop acting like it.

Also, sometimes: legality = / = morality and vice versa

It used to be legal to own slaves. It used to legal to treat black people like they weren't human. It used to be illegal for women to vote. It used to be illegal to be gay, and it still is in some places. It used to be legal to force people with disorders like anxiety and ADHD to go to horrible mental asylums where they were treated like animals. Today, in some places in America, abortion is illegal.

One more thing.

The way they got support for these things? The way they got the power and permission to do these things? The way they got people like you to let them do these things?

They claimed the people they wanted to attack weren't normal. That they weren't like you or me or the one saying this who is totally on your side, they definitely won't go after you the moment you do something they don't like or think you're a threat to them or you certainly weren't their next target anyway.

So when you say people aren't normal, that you only like normal things and those other things you don't like aren't normal so of course you're against them... You are repeating the parts of history that it's warning against.
