It was an average Monday morning when you, Nanami Kento's wife, were turned into a cat.
"An unusual Curse," Shoko had said, "not longer than a week, surely--"
"Not--not longer than a week?!" Kento spluttered, his glasses lopsided, and, dangled in front of him beneath the arms (legs-- legs, he reminded himself)...you.
You, with two pointed ears, a long whippy tail, your many toe-beans and a perturbed little head-tilt. On the doctors' office couch, a neatly folded (if a little furry) pile of your clothes.
"Meow," you had said.
"Don't 'meow' me," Kento spluttered again, fixing you with a stern look that barely overlaid his concern. You simply stared up at him, long, and feline, and unblinking...and reached out one little paw, pressing it onto the end of his nose.
Kento sighed; a bone-deep, weary sigh. Shoko put out her cigarette, speaking through a haze of smoke.
"Like I said. Give it a week, and Mrs.Nyanyami will be back to nor--"
"What did you just call her?'
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Mrs.Nyanyami, the cat formerly known as Nanami Kento's wife, wanted for nothing.
"I think that tuna's more expensive than anything I've ever eaten," whispered Yuuji to Gojo. On the other side of the conference room, you sat upon the desk before Kento, waiting patiently for the next lump of tuna (meticulously cut into cat-appropriate cubes) to be delivered in his chopsticks.
As Kento's hand approached, you held it close with paw and claws, to steal the pink fish from him. He looked like a surgeon performing heart surgery.
"I just...dont know how he can look so serious while he's doing that," Gojo whispered back, to Yuuji's frantic nods. Still, they watched this freakish nature documentary with quiet obsession.
A higher-up sat down beside Kento, waiting for the meeting to begin. Jolting back, and grumbling, he did a double take.
"Young man-- you can't bring a cat to a Sorcerer's meeting--"
"That's not a cat," Kento snapped, frosty, "that's my wife."
And so began the rumour amongst the higher-ups, that Nanami Kento had gone mad.
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
"You should leave her at home--"
"--absolutely not--"
"--really, Nanami...just put the television on, she'll be fine--"
"--unequivocally, no--"
"--why not?!"
Silence. An awkward shuffle on Kento's thick chest. You peeked your head out of the pocket of the cat-carrying hoodie that Kento wore over his shirt and tie, and turned to Gojo with narrowed eyes.
"Meow," you had said, batting at Kento's strings, and hooking his tie out with your paw, to kick it to death with your legs.
"I agree," said Kento, whispering and scratching you beneath the chin until you purred, "he's wrong, isn't he? Stupid Gojo. You'd get lonely. You'd get bored. Yes you would..."
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
"Oh my god...he's gorgeous...you should get his number--"
"--I'm not brave enough...you go. I'll get our coffees."
"--okay, okay..." The woman cleared her throat, sweeping her hair behind one ear with her best smile. Kento looked up from his coffee, with one finely raised eyebrow.
"Can I help you?" He lied, unwilling to help anyone at all before he'd finished his croissant.
"Hi, yeah, I just...can't help but notice you're sitting alone, and my friend-- well she-- she just wondered if she can have your number, and--"
The woman broke off into shrieks. Climbing up her leg, all claws and furry vengeance, was you. She shook her leg, shrieking. You hissed. Your cup of steamed milk clattered over the table, slopping everywhere.
"--o-oh my god-- oh my god, what the hell is this cat doi--"
"I'm sorry," Kento sighed, not sorry at all and dabbing his mouth with a napkin and doing absolutely nothing to help, "it's my cat. She doesn't like company--"
Hisses. Claws. Dirty feral yowls.
"Get this fucking thing off me--"
"I can't take you anywhere. No more steamed milk for you."
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
At times, you seemed so human. At others, undeniably cat.
Kento would wake to clattering from the kitchen, bleary and feeling around for you, only to remember, and trace his hand up to the furry, round little patch you'd leave behind on your pillow. He allowed himself just a moment of misery, before getting up.
He followed the sounds of cups and kettle and coffee machine, and leaned against the doorway with sleep-mussed hair and a squinting, teenagerish glare.
You were up on the counter, all four paws and determination. You had gotten as far as switching the kettle and coffee machine on, and heaving the cupboard open with your tiny limbs. Kento watched as you tipped your head sideways, managing to drag two mugs out in your teeth. He winced as they almost smashed upon the counter.
"Come on," Kento rumbled, his voice rusty with sleep, "let me do that."
You meowed at him, batting at the air with one angry paw when he stepped closer. Kento huffed, raising his hands in surrender.
"Fine," he tutted, "but I'll pour the water."
"Meow."
"Why? Because you don't have opposable thumbs, darling."
The fur stood up along your spine. You turned around, and around, in a circle, then sat upright. You turned your back on him while you waited for the kettle to boil. Your tail flicked from side to side, irritable. Kento waited, too, reaching out one hand to stroke your ears.
You nudged your back paw out, and pushed his mug off the side to smash on the floor.
Silence.
"...what is wrong with y--"
"Meow."
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Skitterskitterskitter.
Distant meows.
Kento groaned, rubbing down his face. He checked the clock, frog-blinking; two in the morning. He groaned harder.
Skitterskitterskitter.
Thunk.
More distant meows.
"Please just come back to bed," Kento moaned into the hands pressed over his face.
SkitterskitterskitterSKITTERSKITTER-- rustlllleerussstle--
Directly over his face.
"Meow--"
"I am begging you--"
RustlerustleTHNKskitterskitterskitter.
Distant meows.
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
"I miss you."
You raised your head to look at him. Your purring hitched. Your ears tilted.
Kento had murmured, his low voice barely audible. The only light in the living room was the ever-changing light of the television screen. Laid on his back on the sofa, with you curled on his chest, Kento stroked down your back with longing.
You crept up his chest, pressing your cold wet nose to his, and purred. Nose to nose, and cross-eyed, Kento could have cried.
"I really miss you," he repeated, swallowing around the lump in his throat. Your claws dug into his chest, just a little. You rub, rub, rubbed your warm furry head along his jaw until he sniffled, and gave a choked little chuckle.
He fell asleep with you on his chest that night. In so many ways, it was familiar; home. In so many others, you were gone forever.
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
"Meow."
Kento shuffled. His chest felt heavy...warm. His belly felt warm, too. And his lap, and--
Kento's eyes shot open, his head lifting up from the couch.
You bit your lip, naked on top of him, and smiling. Human. An angel.
"Oh, my love," Kento moaned, crushing you to him in a bear hug from shoulder to toes, "you're back-- I missed you, I was so worrie--"
You batted an arm out, swiping last night's wine glass from the coffee table beside you, to shatter on the floor.
Silence. Kento blinked slowly, looking from the wine glass, to you. You felt your cheeks grow hot, swallowing hard.
"God, I...sorry, Kento. Force-- force of habit--"

Danny, being a halfa, falls under the strange category of people who can converse with the dead and act in their names. Most mediums simply convey messages. It was rare for someone to be able to fulfill a ghost’s dying request and have that act tied to the ghost’s core.
Honestly it’s annoying.
He doesn’t get any alone time anymore for homework or hobbies. The dead are constantly pestering Danny to help with their desires - which, sure, it helps them move on which means they’re out of Danny’s hair, but come on!! Give a guy a break! Just because he doesn’t need as much sleep as a fully living person doesn’t mean he can go without entirely!
“No Scott,” Danny repeated for the fifth time, “I am not flying to California tonight. Do you know how far that is? Literally the other coast of this massive continent. Meet me there in August like everyone else on the list.”
Spending the first spring break of college creating a map and calendar for Last Rites was not something Danny expected when he moved to Gotham.
Why did this city have so many ghosts?! It was ridiculous. And he thought Amity Park was bad? At least the ghosts here were mostly Shades. Not visible to anyone unless they were also dead-adjacent or had The Sight or a bloodline curse or a magical amulet… you know what? There were enough of those in this curse ridden city, why couldn’t these ghosts go find one of those people instead? Danny was exhausted.
So exhausted he didn’t notice the vigilante dropping down from the rooftop.
“Hey there kid, you alri-”
“Yeah yeah,” Danny waved a hand dismissively at the voice without looking up. “Wait in line like everyone else. But honestly you’d be better off coming back tomorrow when I’ve had some sleep.”
“Think maybe you outta get started on that sleep now, bud?” the voice behind him spoke in a calm careful tone.
One Danny had heard all too often since dying.
His head jerked sideways to stare wide-eyed at Nightwing, who tensed just a little as if expecting Danny to run or fight. Instead he let out a groan and slumped onto the park bench, rubbing his eyes to ease the burn of fatigue. He’d been coming out to this park at the corner of campus each night to keep the Shades from mobbing him all day long in classes, but they’d spread the word around Gotham that he was here and his precious spring break had become a non-stop line of requests and arguments. Made sense he’d caught the attention of one of the Bats. Should have expected it sooner.
Danny ignored all the voices around him and looked at Nightwing directly as he prattled off his usual list when someone caught him talking to thin air.
“No, I’m not hallucinating. I got all my Rogue Gallery immunizations the day I checked onto campus. I’m not schizophrenic. The only meds I take are for adhd and the occasional Tylenol. I’m not a danger to myself or others. Unless they attack me first.”
Nightwing nodded along, but tilted his head at the end.
“I’m talking to the dead,” Danny answered the unspoken question in a tired monotone, waiting for the usual skepticism or plea for help with lost loved ones.
“Oh. Okay then.”
“What?” That wasn’t expected.
“No yeah, that makes sense.”
Danny was sure his jaw was on the ground. “You… you believe me?”
“Well sure,” the hero shrugged and chuckled. “I can’t see ghosts myself but I know a couple magicians who work with one, and my little brother Robin has a ghost on his team - she’s actually visible most of the time so I don’t know if that’s a special skill or something else going on. But I’m glad you’re okay and don’t need any emergency medication. I know a couple 24 hour pharmacies that would help but it’s nice when they’re not needed. We don’t get a lot of mediums around Gotham holding court at night so you really can’t fault me for checking in.”
Danny was still floating in the relief of not being questioned or doubted. That hadn’t happened since Jazz found out his secret. She’d had plenty of questions about his halfa status, of course, but never called him crazy for talking to things others couldn’t see. Even Sam and Tucker would forget sometimes and give him strange looks before realizing he was dealing with a Shade, Wisp, or Memory.
He didn’t realize he was wobbling until Nightwing’s arms shot out to stabilize him.
Danny blinked up at the pretty face that was trying not to chuckle, held by strong arms, and so far past tired he might be getting delirious after all because his brain seemed to have lost its filter and he said out loud,
“You actually believe me. I think I love you.”
Then the horrifying embarrassment hit at the same time as Nightwing’s laughter. Which… sounded delighted rather than mean spirited?
“Well now it’s your turn to wait in line, cuz that’s the fourth confession I’ve had this week!” They both devolved into snorts and giggles, Danny still relying on those arms for balance, but when they’d caught their breath the vigilante said, “Come on, you’ve really got to get some sleep. I’ll walk you back to your dorm.”
Ignoring the whispers and grumbles of the Shades was easier with someone walking beside him.
This is so incredibly cute oml. It’s so rare to see the bats actually go with the flow and god it isn’t done enough. 12/10 immaculate, glorious.
The entire plot I can see so clearly in my mind dude:
Danny chatting to Nightwing as they walk to his dorm
Nightwing asking some casual questions about ghosts and Danny asking about vigilante work.
Nightwing informs the Bats of Danny as he might be a valuable asset in the future.
Nightwing helps free shades with Danny and he realizes why Danny is so incredibly tired all the time.
Nightwing managing to stumble into Danny every day of his break, slowly getting to know each other more and more and becoming really good friends (perhaps lovers 👀).
Wonderful stuff man ty for the ask!

Bf!Toji Masturbation Headcanons.
warnings: éxpílíct smút, 18+ thémés, másturbátion, phóne séx, yándéré tójì, bf tójì, big díck tójì, prófáníty, mdní.
note. hot 🥵 I promise. enjoy this in the cold weather my loves <3
Toji who is so horny all the time it’s impossible for you to keep up with his needs and sex drive.
Toji who loves you so much, he is borderline obsessed with you and so needy, he’s not ashamed of it. You are such a sexy woman that his body automatically reacts to you.
Toji who can’t help but fail, in controlling his libido. Because it’s your fault— you make it hard and you make it impossible.
Toji who feels bad for keeping you up all night long and fucking you until you can’t walk straight and feel him for days.
But then one day, you give him a solution to this problem.
And that solution? It’s so simple..
Toji is a speechless mess when you suggest masturbation to him in order to relieve himself and relief you too.
At first, Toji… who is really confused and angry at your suggestion because it feels like to him that you don’t want him anymore or maybe that you’re tired of him and this relationship..
But when you look at him with those eyes of yours and politely explain your problem that it is hard for you to keep up with him sometimes? He understands.
Toji who actually takes your suggestion seriously, and tries to work on it.
The problem is though that he’s always horny for you.
It doesn’t help when you’re talking to him on the phone and the sound of your voice is making his cock harden instantly, even when you’re not there.
So he, remembering your suggestion, slowly lets his sweatpants down, talking to you in that breathy deep voice of his.
“Mhmm yeah keep talkin’ baby… mhmm yeah? Hm? Really she said that? What a bitch.” he listens to you rant, you had a bad day at work because of a bitchy coworker of yours.
Mina that coworker of yours deserves to have a special place in hell for herself for giving you a hard time and he will personally make sure that she does but right now all he cares about is getting off.
His dick is painfully hard. The more you talk the more it gets reactive and harder.
Toji takes it out of his boxers, the hard leaking thick cock of his pulsing in his hand as he stares at it, his eyes widen in surprise and fascination.
The cock pulses the more you talk, Toji groans as he finally starts to touch himself, “I-Uhhh yeah yeah ‘m listenin’ to you baby- ah yeah..yeahhh.”
You don’t catch on the way he’s so beathless and almost dazed, you are too busy being angry at your coworker to notice his tone changing
He touches the tip, squeezing it and he groans in pain & pleasure, he bites his hand to muffle the sound.
“Uh no… no no it’s nothing keep talking. I just I fucking hit myself accidentally…” he laughs, stroking his hard thick length.
He’s going to cum soon. He strokes it harder, squeezing, he closes his eyes, suddenly imagining your mouth on him instead of his hand, you gagging and choking-
Making a saliva filled, disgusting mess on his cock as you take him deeper in your throat.
“O-Oh fuck mmm- yn can you tell me you love me?”
He suddenly quickly interrupts your rant, “p-please fuckin- just- *pants* tell me you love me okay?”
“Toji darling are you OK? What kind of request is this? I’m literally so angry right now.” You ask him out of concern and that turns him on even more.
“J-Just fuckin tell me shhh…” he strokes himself harder.
“Ugh okay fine. I love you so much.” You angrily grumble and that’s what gets him cumming super hard on his own hands, he keeps cumming as he finally lets out a guttural moan into the phone.
“T-Thank you princess mhmm looks like your remedy worked. Just had a mind blowing orgasm. Now keep ranting.”
He laughs and you’re just so speechless.

I’ll do anything to make you happy
Summary: You were excited for winter break to start because it meant one thing: spending more time with Lando. But little did you know, that was the one thing you wouldn't be getting.
Reader x Lando Norris
Genre: fluff/angst
Winter always held a special kind of charm for me.
The frosty mornings, cozy blankets, and steaming cups of cocoa had always made this season my favorite.
But this year, it held a different promise: Lando finally had a break from racing.
After months of hectic schedules, jet-setting across the globe, and stolen moments in between races, I was looking forward to having him all to myself.
At first, it was everything I’d imagined and more.
We spent lazy mornings tangled in bed, with me teasing him about his messy hair while he pulled me closer, claiming I was his personal heater.
Breakfasts turned into brunches because we couldn’t stop talking or joking around.
We watched movies, baked cookies that turned out terrible, and played endless rounds of Mario Kart, which I always managed to win.
“You’re only winning because I’m letting you,” Lando said one evening, his grin teasing as he tossed the controller onto the couch.
“Sure you are,” I replied, laughing as I grabbed my victory snack from the table.
Those first few days felt like we were in our own little world, where nothing else mattered but us.
But soon, reality began creeping in.
It started innocently enough.
“Babe, Max just called,” Lando said one morning, leaning against the counter with his coffee mug in hand.
“He’s organizing a karting session. Shouldn’t take long.”
I smiled, my heart swelling with pride.
Racing was his passion, and I loved seeing him happy. “Go have fun. Just don’t let him beat you.”
“Never,” he said with a wink, kissing my temple quickly before heading out.
That day, I didn’t mind the quiet. I worked on some projects, caught up with friends, and even took a long bath.
By the time he got home, his cheeks were flushed with cold, and he couldn’t stop talking about how much fun he’d had.
But karting soon turned into golf.
Golf turned into poker nights. And poker nights turned into outings that stretched late into the night.
“I’ll be back soon,” he’d text, always with a heart emoji. But “soon” became later and later each time.
I told myself it was fine. He deserved this break.
He’d worked so hard all year, and if spending time with his friends helped him unwind, who was I to complain?
But as the days wore on, the house began to feel emptier, and so did I.
One evening, I decided to surprise him with his favorite dinner.
I spent hours in the kitchen, setting the table with candles and dimming the lights for a cozy atmosphere.
When Lando walked through the door, his expression softened as he took in the setup.
“You didn’t have to do all this,” he said, wrapping his arms around me.
“I wanted to,” I replied, smiling up at him.
“You’ve been so busy, and I thought it’d be nice to have a quiet night together.”
“That’s so sweet,” he said, leaning down to kiss me.
“But the guys are waiting for me. I promised I’d meet them for drinks tonight. Let’s rain check this?”
My smile faltered, but I nodded. “Of course.”
He kissed me again and was out the door before I could say anything more.
I sat down at the table, staring at the empty chair across from me.
The candles flickered, their light reflecting off the untouched plates. I took a deep breath, telling myself it was okay.
But deep down, a tiny crack had formed in my heart.
Days turned into weeks, and the cracks only deepened.
Lando’s absence became more noticeable, and I began to feel like a ghost in our own home.
One evening, after scrolling through endless photos of him with his friends on Instagram, I called Mia, my best friend.
“What’s wrong?” she asked the moment she picked up.
I sighed, the weight of my emotions pressing down on me.
“It’s Lando. He’s been spending so much time with his friends lately, and I feel like I’m… invisible.”
Mia was quiet for a moment before saying, “Y/N, you’re not invisible. But you need to talk to him. He’s not a mind reader.”
“I don’t want to seem clingy,” I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.
“You’re not clingy. You’re his girlfriend. He should want to spend time with you. Talk to him.”
Her words gave me the push I needed. That night, when Lando came home, I gathered my courage.
“Can we talk?” I asked, my heart pounding in my chest.
“Of course,” he said, sitting down next to me.
I took a deep breath.
“I’ve been feeling… neglected lately. I know you’re enjoying your break, and I want you to have fun, but I miss us. I miss you.”
He frowned, reaching for my hand.
“Babe, I’m sorry if it feels that way. But I’m here now, aren’t I?”
I nodded, but his words didn’t ease the ache in my chest. Before I could say more, he kissed me and stood up.
“Max needs help with something,” he said, grabbing his keys. “Love you!”
And just like that, he was gone. Again.
I tried my best to push away all negative thoughts until I thought about the positive ones.
Our second anniversary was just days away, and I held onto the hope that he’d make it special.
I told myself the late nights didn’t matter. He was probably planning something incredible for our anniversary.
The next day,
The morning light filtered through the curtains, painting the room in soft golden hues.
I stretched lazily, a content smile curling my lips as I reached across the bed.
My fingers met cold sheets. The space beside me was empty.
I frowned, the giddy excitement I had woken up with faltering.
Today was our second anniversary.
I had imagined waking up wrapped in Lando’s arms, whispering sleepy “Happy anniversary” wishes before sharing breakfast together.
Instead, he was gone.
I also realized that I hadn't heard him come back last night.
He told me he was just helping Max out with something, but he probably went out partying with his friends afterward, again.
I tried to shake off the disappointment as I climbed out of bed, brushing my hair out of my face.
Maybe he had planned a surprise and needed to step out early.
A flutter of hope lifted my spirits as I grabbed my robe and headed toward the kitchen.
The scent of coffee greeted me, but there was no sign of Lando.
Instead, on the counter, I found a note written in his familiar scrawl:
“Gone golfing with the guys. Be back later. Love you.”
My heart sank. Golfing? On our anniversary?
I swallowed the lump rising in my throat, trying to focus on the fact that he had said he’d be back later.
He wouldn’t forget our dinner, right?
We’d planned this evening together weeks ago, and I’d been looking forward to it ever since.
I folded the note and placed it aside, telling myself not to overthink it. He would be back in time.
He promised.
After a quick breakfast, I set to work preparing for the evening.
My heart thudded with a mix of excitement and nervousness as I laid out my plans.
Lando had been so busy lately, and this was my chance to remind him how much I loved him, despite everything.
I spent hours in the kitchen, cooking all his favorite dishes: his go-to pasta, a roasted chicken dish he always requested, and even the dessert I’d failed at three times before finally perfecting.
The smells of herbs, garlic, and chocolate filled the apartment, making it feel warm and inviting.
Between stirring pots and chopping vegetables, I took breaks to set up the dining table.
I draped it with a soft cream tablecloth, adding candles and a scattering of rose petals for a romantic touch.
Fairy lights hung along the walls, casting a cozy glow that made the space feel magical.
On the counter, I carefully placed his gift, a sleek watch he had admired months ago but never bought for himself.
Not forgetting to attach a handwritten note to the box.
With everything ready, I checked the clock.
It was almost evening. So I had to hurry up to get ready.
I slipped into the dress I had chosen weeks ago, a soft, fitted number I knew he loved on me.
My makeup was simple yet elegant, and I added the finishing touch, a spritz of the perfume Lando had gifted me for my last birthday.
I felt beautiful, excited, and nervous all at once as I sat on the couch, watching the clock.
Five minutes passed. Then ten.
By the time twenty minutes had gone by, I grabbed my phone, texting him a quick, “Hey, are you on your way?”
No response.
An hour later, I texted again. Then called. Still nothing.
My excitement turned into a gnawing worry that sat heavy in my chest.
Where was he? Had he forgotten?
Two hours passed.
The candles on the table had burned down halfway, their flickering flames reflecting off the now-cold plates of food.
The fairy lights, once magical, now felt like mockery.
Finally, three hours later, I gave up.
Tears stung my eyes as I blew out the candles, packed away the food, and removed my dress, exchanging it for soft pajamas.
My makeup was smeared with tears by the time I climbed into bed.
I grabbed my phone one last time, and my heart shattered when I saw the Instagram story.
It was one of Lando’s friends, showing a clip of him laughing, drink in hand, surrounded by his friends.
He looked happy. Carefree.
And completely oblivious that tonight was our anniversary.
The tears came faster, hot and uncontrollable. I buried my face in the pillow, the ache in my chest overwhelming.
I had been so sure he’d come back, that he’d remember. But I was wrong.
Later that night,
The apartment was cloaked in silence when Lando opened the front door, the click of the lock echoing faintly in the stillness.
He stumbled inside the weight of exhaustion and faint traces of guilt tugging at his chest.
The soft glow of the streetlights outside illuminated the darkened space just enough for him to make out his surroundings.
Something felt… off.
He reached for the light switch, and as the room was bathed in warm light, his eyes landed on the dining table across from him.
He froze.
The table was beautifully decorated, candles placed strategically, now melted into small stubs, surrounded by rose petals that had been artfully scattered.
Plates of food were neatly covered with lids to keep them from going bad, but even from a distance, Lando could tell they were his favorites.
He took a tentative step forward, his stomach sinking further with each movement.
Resting near the center of the table was a small, wrapped box with a note attached to it.
The sight made his chest tighten, a creeping realization clawing at the edges of his mind.
His fingers trembled as he picked up the note. Unfolding it carefully, he read the words in her familiar handwriting:
"To my Lando, the best thing that ever happened to me. Thank you for being my partner, my love, my everything. Happy anniversary, baby. Love, Y/N."
The words hit him like a punch to the gut. His heart sank as the full weight of the evening’s significance crashed over him.
Anniversary. He’d forgotten their second anniversary.
Lando stood there, the note still clutched in his hand, his throat tightening as shame washed over him.
He thought back to the past few weeks, to the times he’d brushed you off or come home late without so much as an explanation.
He couldn’t even recall the last time you two spent real, quality time together.
You had tried to talk to him about it, about how you felt neglected, and he had dismissed your concerns every single time.
Now, standing there amidst the evidence of your effort and love, he felt like the worst boyfriend in the world.
Lando exhaled shakily, running a hand through his hair as regret threatened to overwhelm him.
He couldn’t blame anyone but himself.
He glanced around the room, noticing how quiet it was. He knew you were asleep.
His eyes landed on his phone, dead from the night’s events.
With a heavy sigh, he plugged it into the charger, pacing nervously as he waited for it to turn back on.
When it finally lit up, the screen was flooded with notifications, missed calls and unread messages from Y/N.
The time stamps told the story of your evening:
“Hey, are you on your way?” - 8 p.m. “I’m waiting for you… everything’s ready.” -8:30 p.m. “Lando, please call me.” -9 p.m. “Are you okay? I’m starting to worry.” -10 p.m.
The last message was hours old, her tone shifting from hopeful to concerned.
Each notification felt like another jab to his heart, the guilt almost unbearable.
He dropped his phone onto the counter and made his way toward their shared bedroom.
Pushing the door open quietly, he stepped into the dimly lit room.
His gaze immediately found her curled up under the covers, her face half-buried in the pillow.
His breath hitched when he noticed the faint streaks on her cheeks, traces of tears she hadn’t been able to hide.
The sight made his heart clench painfully. She’d cried herself to sleep, and it was his fault.
Lando approached the bed slowly, kneeling beside her as he took in her tear-streaked face.
She looked so peaceful yet so vulnerable, her chest rising and falling softly with each breath.
Guilt swirled in his chest as he reached out, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.
“I’m so sorry, baby,” he whispered, his voice barely audible, thick with regret.
Leaning down, he pressed a gentle kiss to her temple, lingering for a moment as if hoping it could somehow convey all the apologies he couldn’t say while she was awake.
His thumb grazed her cheek, and he sighed deeply.
“You didn’t deserve this,” he murmured, his voice breaking.
“I’ve been such an ass… the worst boyfriend. I’ll make it up to you, I promise. I love you so much.”
She stirred slightly at his touch but didn’t wake.
Lando watched her for a moment longer before standing, his mind racing with plans to fix what he’d broken.
Tomorrow, he vowed, would be all about her.
The next morning, I woke up with a dull ache in my chest, my body heavy from the night before.
My eyes were sore and puffy from crying myself to sleep.
I glanced at the empty side of the bed, already prepared for the familiar sting of disappointment.
Figured he’d leave again before I woke up, I thought bitterly.
Dragging myself out of bed, I moved to the bathroom to freshen up.
The cold water on my face didn’t do much to wash away the exhaustion or the emotional weight from the previous night.
With a sigh, I tied my hair back and made my way downstairs, expecting another day of hurt to unfold.
Halfway down the stairs, though, something unusual stopped me in my tracks.
The smell of coffee, rich and inviting, wafted through the air.
There was another scent too, pancakes? My brow furrowed in confusion.
"That can’t be right. Lando doesn’t cook... does he? Who am i kidding he can't even boil eggs."
I cautiously descended the rest of the stairs, each step filling me with equal parts curiosity and hesitation.
As I rounded the corner into the kitchen, I froze at the sight before me.
There he was, standing by the stove, flipping a pancake with a focused but slightly clumsy determination.
Plates of food lined the table, croissants, fresh fruit, juice, and what looked like store-bought pastries.
It didn’t take long to figure out most of the spread wasn’t homemade, but the effort was unmistakably his.
“Morning, love,” Lando greeted me, his tone soft and tentative, his lips curling into a nervous smile.
I raised an eyebrow, my arms crossing instinctively. “What’s all this?”
He put the spatula down and stepped closer, wiping his hands on a kitchen towel.
“It’s breakfast... and an apology,” he said, his voice earnest.
My eyes flickered between him and the spread on the table.
I could see he was trying, but the hurt from last night still lingered like a heavy cloud over my chest.
“Come sit,” he said gently, pulling a chair out for me.
I hesitated for a moment before sitting down, my arms still crossed defensively.
Lando grabbed a plate, placing a pancake in front of me before adding a small pile of fruit and a croissant on the side.
I eyed him suspiciously as he poured me a cup of coffee, then sat across from me.
“What are you doing, Lando?” I asked, my voice tinged with a mix of confusion and frustration.
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table as he met my gaze.
“I messed up, Y/N. Big time. And I need you to know how sorry I am.” His voice was steady but filled with regret.
I stayed silent, waiting for him to continue.
“Last night,” he began, his brows furrowing,
“I forgot our anniversary. I forgot the one day I should’ve been making you feel like the most important person in the world. And it’s not just last night, I’ve been neglecting you for weeks. You told me how you felt, and I brushed it off like an idiot.”
His voice cracked slightly as he spoke, and I could see the weight of his guilt etched into every line on his face.
“I’ve been selfish, caught up in my own world, and I didn’t see how much I was hurting you. You deserve so much better than that, Y/N. Better than me.”
I felt my throat tighten as his words sank in. The sincerity in his tone chipped away at the walls I’d put up.
“I was so hurt, Lando,” I said, my voice trembling.
“I waited for you all night. I planned everything because I thought… I thought you’d come home and we’d celebrate together. I stayed up, hoping you’d walk through that door with a smile, ready to tell me how much you love me. But you didn’t.”
Tears pricked my eyes as I continued.
“I saw that video of you and your friends. You were laughing and having fun while I sat here, alone, on what was supposed to be our night.”
Lando’s face fell, his hands gripping the edge of the table as if grounding himself from the weight of my words.
“I know,” he whispered.
“And I hate myself for it. Seeing what you did for me last night, the decorations, the food, the note. I realized just how much I’ve been taking you for granted. I never want you to feel that way again, Y/N. You’re the most important thing in my life. I need you to believe that.”
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box, sliding it across the table to me.
“What’s this?” I asked, my voice softer now, though my heart still carried the sting of last night.
“Open it,” he urged.
I carefully lifted the lid, revealing a delicate necklace with a sparkling pendant.
The intricate design caught the morning light, making it shimmer.
“Lando…” I trailed off, overwhelmed.
“It’s not enough to make up for what I’ve done,” he said quickly,
“but it’s a start. And today, it’s all about you. Whatever you want to do, wherever you want to go, we’ll do it.”
I stared at the necklace for a moment before meeting his eyes.
“It’s beautiful,” I said, my voice thick with emotion. “Thank you.”
“But,” I added, my tone firm, “this doesn’t mean I’ve fully forgiven you yet.”
“I know,” he said, nodding.
“And I don’t expect you to. But I’ll spend every day proving to you how much I care, how much I love you. I won’t stop until you believe me again.”
The determination in his voice made my chest tighten.
I wanted to hold onto my anger, to make him feel the depth of my hurt, but seeing him now, vulnerable, regretful, and desperate to make things right.
I couldn’t help but feel the smallest crack in my resolve.
As the morning unfolded, Lando’s sincerity shone through.
He insisted on clearing the table and cleaning up, stealing small glances at me as if trying to gauge my mood.
I wasn’t ready to let go of all the hurt just yet, but for the first time in weeks, I felt a glimmer of hope.
Maybe, just maybe, we could find our way back to each other.
The morning's heartfelt apology set the tone for what became one of the most memorable days Lando and I had spent together in weeks.
While I was still guarded, I couldn’t deny that he was trying, really trying, to make things right.
As I got ready to leave the house, he was already by my side, holding my hand, his other arm slung casually around my shoulder.
“I promised today would be all about you,” he said, giving me that signature soft smile.
“So, where to first?”
We started with a trip to the mall. At first, I felt a little awkward, hesitant to fully enjoy the experience.
But Lando was like a lovesick puppy, following me from store to store, holding my bags, and insisting I buy anything that caught my eye.
“Do you like this dress?” I asked, holding up a flowy sundress against myself.
“I love it,” he said without hesitation. “But I’d probably love anything on you.”
I rolled my eyes at his smooth comment but couldn’t help the blush creeping up my cheeks. “You’re just saying that.”
“Nope,” he replied, grabbing the dress and adding it to the pile of things he’d insisted on buying.
From clothes to accessories, he didn’t say no to anything.
When I protested, saying he was spending too much, he brushed it off.
“I’d spend everything on you, Y/N,” he said with such sincerity it made my heart ache.
Afterward, he took me to my favorite café for lunch.
The cozy little place was one we often went to in the early days of our relationship, and the nostalgia hit me hard as we sat down.
“I missed this,” I admitted as I sipped my coffee.
“Me too,” Lando said, reaching across the table to hold my hand.
“And I’m going to make sure we never lose this again.”
Next, he surprised me with a visit to a local pottery studio.
I couldn’t help but laugh when Lando struggled to shape a vase, the clay slipping through his fingers.
“Okay, you’re supposed to keep your hands steady,” I teased, leaning over to guide him.
“Oh, so now you’re an expert?” he joked, though his grin softened as I showed him how to shape the clay.
It was messy, chaotic, and perfect.
By the end, we both had clay smudged on our faces, and we were laughing like we hadn’t in weeks.
From there, we stopped at a flower shop.
Lando picked out the biggest bouquet of my favorite flowers, holding it out to me with a boyish grin.
“For you,” he said, like it was the most natural thing in the world.
“You’re really pulling out all the stops today, aren’t you?” I teased, though my heart swelled as I buried my nose in the fragrant blooms.
“Only the best for my girl,” he replied, his tone playful but his eyes serious.
For the rest of the day, he didn’t leave my side.
He held my hand as we walked through the streets, his arm draped protectively around me whenever we stopped to rest.
He peppered me with kisses at every opportunity; on my cheek, my forehead, my temple.
“You’re being extra clingy today,” I said with a small laugh as he pulled me into another hug.
“Making up for lost time,” he murmured, his chin resting on the top of my head.
Bit by bit, the walls I’d built around my heart began to crumble.
His efforts felt genuine, and I found myself smiling more easily, the hurt from the night before slowly fading into the background.
By the time we got home, the sun was setting, painting the sky in soft shades of pink and orange.
We were both tired but happy as we curled up on the couch together.
Lando tucked me under his arm, his fingers gently tracing patterns on my shoulder.
“Y/N,” he said after a long moment of silence.
His tone was serious, and I looked up at him curiously.
“Yeah?”
“I need to say this again because you deserve to hear it,” he began, his voice steady but filled with emotion.
“I’m so sorry for everything, for neglecting you, for forgetting our anniversary, for making you feel like you weren’t my priority. You are my priority, Y/N. You’re the best thing in my life, and I hate that I made you feel otherwise.”
His words hit me straight in the chest, and I felt tears pricking at the corners of my eyes.
“I know I hurt you,” he continued, his hand cupping my cheek as he looked into my eyes.
“But I swear, I’ll spend every day proving how much I love you. I’ll never let you feel like that again.”
My heart felt full as I reached up to hold his hand.
“You’ve done a lot for me today, Lando,” I said softly.
“And it’s helped. I can see how much you mean it.”
“So... does that mean you forgive me?” he asked, his tone hopeful but cautious.
I smiled, leaning up to kiss him. “Yeah, I forgive you.”
The relief on his face was almost comical, and he immediately began peppering my face with kisses, my cheeks, my forehead, my nose, even the corners of my lips.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” he murmured between kisses, his joy infectious.
Just when I thought the day was over, Lando suddenly sat up.
“Wait, I have one last thing,” he said, standing and disappearing into the other room.
I frowned, confused, as he returned with a small envelope in hand.
“What is this?” I asked as he handed it to me.
“Open it,” he urged, a playful but nervous glint in his eyes.
I carefully tore open the envelope, and my breath caught as I pulled out two plane tickets.
My eyes widened as I read the destination: Maldives.
“Lando… are you serious?” I asked, my voice trembling with disbelief.
He grinned. “You’ve always said you wanted to go. So, I booked us a two-week stay. Just you and me. No distractions.”
Tears welled in my eyes as I looked at him, overwhelmed.
“You didn’t have to do this…”
“Yes, I did,” he said firmly, pulling me into his arms.
“I’ll do anything to make you happy, Y/N. Anything.”
I hugged him tightly, burying my face in his chest.
“Thank you,” I whispered.
“I love you,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
“I love you too,” I replied, my voice muffled but sincere.
We settled back into the couch, cuddled up together, the weight of the past few weeks finally lifting.
After a long silence, I broke it with a playful smile.
“If you ever neglect me like that again, I’m breaking up with your ass,” I teased.
Lando laughed, his arms tightening around me. “Fair enough. But don’t worry, I won’t. Not ever again.”
And for the first time in weeks, I believed him.

"JJ, I need your help."
The blonde woman froze in the doorway.
"Did you kill someone?" she asked after a moment. And though she seemed surprised, her voice had already adjusted to the situation, lowering into a conspiratorial whisper. As if signaling her readiness to help hide a body. A friend in crime is a friend indeed.
Or however it goes.
If your eyebrows competed in the Olympic high jump, they’d win a gold medal.
"What? How did you even…wait, is that seriously the first thing that crossed your mind when you saw me?" You watched as your friend shrugged. Her posture relaxed slightly, and the corner of her mouth twitched upward at the sight of your expression. "Anyway, never mind. Are you going to let me in, or are we just going to stand here?"
For a moment, she studied you intently before stepping aside. You’d known she would; it was exactly why you’d come to her. You crossed into her apartment with heavy, restless steps, stopping only when you reached the living room—and only then realizing you hadn’t even taken off your coat.
Pressing a hand to your forehead, you turned to face JJ, whose worry was written all over her face.
“Well? Are you going to tell me what’s going on?”
You inhaled deeply, trying to steady yourself as you prepared to say the words out loud.
Words that felt absurd.
Words that had invaded your mind, refusing to let go.
Words you couldn’t decide whether to embrace or reject entirely.
“I’m in love.”
Silence filled the room. A soft, disbelieving snort escaped her lips, quickly morphing into loud, unabashed laughter.
“You gotta be kidding me.”
“I’m not. Why? Is it really that strange for me to be in love?”
JJ snorted again, shaking her head from side to side.
“No. What’s strange is you storming into my apartment like a hurricane, nervous and… terrified, just to tell me you’re in love. Seriously, I thought something was wrong!”
“Because something is wrong,” you hissed through clenched teeth.
You weren’t angry—not at JJ, not at yourself, not at anyone. It was more… the weight of it all, the unfamiliar feelings that left you overwhelmed, spilling out in sudden bursts of frustration.
Your romantic life up until now had always existed on the fringes of your attention. Present, but without all the…symptoms. The dry throat whenever they were around, the inability to get them out of your head.
It all felt like something out of a sugar-coated entry in a teenager’s pink diary, not the mind of a grown woman.
“I’ll make you some tea,” JJ offered suddenly. The worry that had been etched on her face earlier was completely gone, replaced by genuine amusement at your behavior, visible in the soft smile tugging at her lips. “You’ll tell me everything. But now, take off that coat before you overheat…”
True to her word, fifteen minutes later, the two of you were sitting on the couch with steaming mugs of tea in your hands.
While JJ had been in the kitchen preparing it, doubts began to creep in. Was it really a good idea to tell anyone about this? About your…infatuation?
Even though you were friends, the whole thing made you feel a little pathetic.
“So…” she began after a long moment of silence. “Are you going to say anything?”
You couldn’t find the right words. Instead of answering, you took a big sip of hot tea and winced as it burned your throat.
“Okay,” JJ sighed, setting her mug down on the table and folding her arms across her chest. “If you’re not going to, let me just guess.”
“Since when are you a psychic?”
“Not a psychic. Just someone who spends most of her life around profilers. That should be enough to figure out why my friend is acting so weird about a simple crush.”
“Can we please not call it a crush?”
“Love interest. Better?” You muttered not really but she completely ignored it and continued. “Let’s start with the fact that you came here. To me. Considering how private you are, it must mean you’re totally losing it over this. You seem confused, like you don’t know what to feel. You’re unsure whether they feel the same, so you don’t know what to do. And it doesn’t help that you’ve never had to chase anyone before. You’ve always been the one that guys chased after, not the other way around. And…” she hesitated, taking a breath. “The fact that you seem embarrassed, plus how much you work, leaving no time for dating, leads me to think… it’s probably someone from our team.”
With every sentence that left her lips, your hands tightened more around the mug. When she fell silent, your knuckles turned completely white. Everything she said was true.
"What should I do?" you asked quietly.
"Well, it would definitely be easier for me to advise you if you tell me who it’s about."
Instinctively, you shook your head. You didn’t want to reveal your feelings that much. Surprisingly, you weren’t worried that she would figure it out. After all, it wasn’t that obvious...
"Is it Spencer?"
"Fuck, is it really that obvious?" you blurted out in panic. If she could notice, who else could? The rest of the team? Reid himself?
JJ made a sound somewhere between a cough and a choked laugh.
"Actually, I was just going to randomly list all the options one by one," she said, then let out a short sigh, raising her eyebrows. "You surprised me a little. I mean, it's not that I think you two don’t fit together..."
You knew exactly what she meant. Your specialty at work was kidnappings, often handling negotiations and providing detailed instructions to the families of victims. You had learned to project an aura of calm control, and more often than not, you came across as stiff in the eyes of others. Something that had been pointed out to you multiple times in life, whether in jest or not. Reid, in many ways, was your complete opposite. While you surrounded yourself with a shield of silence due to stress, his mouth never seemed to stop. While you marched forward with apparent indifference, he seemed genuinely interested in everything happening around him, every tiny process on this planet. And maybe that was what fascinated you most about him? Or perhaps it was more about his extraordinary mind, knowing the answer to every question that ever drifted through your thoughts? Or how effortlessly he could make you laugh? Or maybe it was the ease with which you could gently tug at the edge of that serious mask, always settled upon your face, and lift it just enough to let a certain lightness slip inside? To breathe?
"You should just invite him somewhere," JJ snapped you out of your thoughts.
"I tried," you said, wincing slightly at the memory of that failed attempt. Well, not entirely failed...
"Are you talking about how you asked in the office, in front of everyone, if anyone would like to go to the movies with you on Friday, and almost everyone volunteered?" she asked, amused. "That's not how you ask someone out on a date!"
"What else was I supposed to do? Walk up and ask if he wants to go to the movies with me?"
JJ blinked.
"Yes? Exactly like that? I mean, that’s how it usually goes. I don’t know what’s so weird about it for you."
"I’m just not made for this," you blurted out, pressing your lips together. "I can’t stand the thought that he might say no, because maybe he’s not interested in me. Not like I am in him."
"No offense, but you're such a hopeless case," she sighed heavily. "In that case, you need to find out. Invite him somewhere, not necessarily on a date, just a casual hangout. Spend some time together and you'll find out if he likes you."
"What if he doesn't?"
"What if he does?"
After a moment of silence, you managed to smile weakly.
"Maybe you're right," you said, emphasizing the first word. And before saying anything else, you nodded, as if giving yourself courage. "I'll give it a try."
*
Well, you didn’t get a chance to put that plan into motion.
Work didn’t slow down for even a moment, throwing you back onto the jet with your team, deep in discussion about everything uncovered so far regarding the unsub and the victims. Hardly the right time to ask someone on a date.
As usual, the case file commanded your full attention, isolating you from the buzz of conversation around you. You always needed a moment to absorb and analyze the details on your own. The voices of your teammates reached your ears faintly, their words blending into background noise—until one particular sentence jolted your brain awake, cutting through like a baseball slicing the air.
"You’ve never been to New York?" you asked, directing the question to Spencer, seated beside you, shoulder to shoulder.
All eyes turned to him. Startled by the attention, he gave a small shrug and absently picked up the deck of cards from the table, the ones you’d been playing with before the discussion began.
“We’ve never had a case there before,” he admitted simply.
You closed the folder, and the slight breeze it caused swept a few cards off the table from the game you’d been playing earlier.
“Why am I only now finding out that you’ve never, ever, ever been to New York?” you asked, shaking your head in disbelief. He furrowed his brows, clearly surprised by your emotional reaction.
“I grew up there,” you added.
“And why am I only now finding out that you grew up in New York?” he mimicked your earlier tone. Rolling your eyes, you tried to swat him with the folder, but he deftly dodged it.
“Seriously though, you never told me,” he said.
“Don’t worry, man,” Morgan chimed in from across the table. “She never told me, either. In fact, I’d bet she never told any of us.”
You raised your hands in a defensive gesture.
“None of you ever asked.”
"Does that bother you?" Reid asked, his gaze fixed on you, intense and unwavering. A strand of his slightly too-long hair had slipped out from behind his ear. You had the sudden urge to reach out, tuck it back where it belonged, away from his line of sight. "That I’ve never been there?"
"Of course not," you assured him with a quick huff of laughter. "You just have a lot—and I mean a lot—to catch up on."
"If only I knew someone who knew the city well," he sighed dramatically. "Someone who, for example, grew up there and kept that fact a secret for as long as we know each other. Someone who could show me around..."
"You’d want me to show you around?" The words escaped your mouth a little too quickly, a little too eagerly. Your mind flashed back to your conversation with JJ, to her suggestion that you should invite him somewhere. You’d been too nervous to ask outright, but this? Showing him around the city was a perfect excuse to spend time together!
You felt like an evil mastermind rubbing your hands together in triumph over a new invention that could turn half of humanity into rubber ducks. Quickly, you shook your head, trying to mask the disproportionate excitement now threatening to take over your face.
"I mean, if we had the time. Who knows how demanding this case might end up being."
"Right," he admitted. Some flicker of emotion crossed his face—a flash of something unplaceable. Could it have been a disappointment?
He cleared his throat, a soft, tentative smile tugging at his lips. "But if it turns out we do have time... I’d be very happy if you’d show me a few places."
You couldn’t hold back any longer and allowed yourself a brief smile.
“But just so we’re clear,” you began after a moment, your tone carrying a seriousness that didn’t quite match the expression on your face. “I wasn’t keeping it a secret. Just no one ever asked me!”
Spencer let out a small snort at that.
"You know, I think you're the type of person who could go over a decade without revealing your name just because no one bothered to ask..."
“Are you done with discussing your secrets? Could we get back to focusing on the case?” Hotch’s voice suddenly cut in, sharp and calm, as he glanced at the two of you over the top of his file.
In perfect unison, you both turned toward him, sitting straighter than ever. Out of the corner of your eye, you caught Reid’s gaze for one more fleeting moment.
He wanted you to show him around.
Of course, that didn’t automatically mean he liked you. But it felt like it brought you a step closer to figuring out if there was even the smallest, most microscopic chance that he might feel the same way.
That hopeful thought was quickly chased by doubts—what if he didn’t?
You knew such thoughts would haunt you, tormenting and humiliating you in the quiet moments you were alone with yourself. So, you resolved not to dwell on them for the duration of your time in New York. Instead, you would focus on one thing —making him fall in love with the city where you’d grown up, the city that still held your heart even years after you’d left.
The discussion about the case had ended, but despite that, you continued to carefully examine the files. Well, not exactly them. On the back of the last page, a blank piece of paper, you started writing with the pen you had pulled out of your jacket pocket all the places you could take Spencer. You drifted through memories, trying to recall those places you had visited with your parents, the ones you had gone to with friends after school, the places you were taken on dates...
You crossed them all out. You doubted a sandwich bar would impress him. You didn’t know how many chances you’d have to go anywhere, so you had to aim for something really special. Maybe something that fit more with his interests. A museum? Or something more characteristic of the neighborhood where you’d be staying. A walk on the Brooklyn Bridge?
You felt someone’s gaze on you. You snapped the folder shut as if you had been caught doing something and saw Morgan staring at you with a slightly mocking smile on his lips.
"If you’re playing a tour guide, maybe you’d like to show me around too?" he asked.
You leaned slightly over the table, your face expressionless.
"I’m sure if you ask Garcia nicely, she’ll find you a guide online. At a good price."
"And here she is. The Ice Queen back in shape. Tell me, how’s it that just fifteen minutes ago you were acting completely differently?"
Amused, he shook his head, leaving you with the unsettling thought that maybe it really was that obvious.
*
“Alright. I’m a serial killer and a rapist. I stalk my victims by placing cameras in their apartment. Where do I hide them to get a good view of everything, but at the same time, make sure they're not noticed?”
"Reid, I’m begging you, never say something like that out loud again."
You and Spencer had been sent to the apartment of one of, unfortunately, many victims. All of them had been attacked in their own homes, with no visible signs of forced entry. That was the first puzzling element of this case. The second were the emails Garcia had found in each of the women’s inboxes. Emails suggesting they had been watched for a long time.
You made my favorite pasta for dinner. You should wear the red dress, sweetheart. Actually, who are you planning to meet?
The very thought of someone watching you in your own home sent a shiver down your spine.
“Apologies,” he muttered. “But I’m not under arrest, am I?”
“Who knows? It’d make for some interesting headlines. Or for the title of a true-crime documentary about you. FBI Agent on a Dark Path of Crime…”
“It’s Doctor.”
“My eternal apologies. Does mistaking your title also come with a sentence?”
“Well, we probably wouldn’t be sharing a cell, but maybe we’d run into each other in the cafeteria a few times.”
"I can't wait." You wandered around the apartment, peeking into every spot that came to mind. Since your back was turned to him, he couldn’t see the corners of your mouth curling upward. “You check the bathroom, alright? I don’t even want to imagine where that creep might have hidden a camera. I’ll be terrified to shower in my own place.”
Spencer gave a mock salute, as if you’d just given him an order. Well, in your tone, even polite requests rarely left room for refusal. But before he disappeared into the small bathroom with green-tiled walls, he paused for a moment, his fingers brushing the doorframe.
“That was a joke, right?” he asked, his voice shifting from light to soft and slightly concerned.
You turned toward him, arms crossed over your chest, not entirely sure what he meant.
“I mean…” he started, briefly scratching his forehead. “I just hope you’re not getting too involved in this case. I mean, you are, but not to the point where… where you’re scared afterward. Of being home alone. Taking a shower or…Does that even make sense?”
"That’s..." you began, trying your hardest not to say that’s sweet. The hint of concern that had flickered across his face, present in the way his eyes lingered on you. The fact that your offhand comment had moved him enough to bring it up at all. “Yeah, that does make sense. You know, considering all these women were my age and lived alone, just like me, it does feel a little personal. But don’t worry, I won’t let it stop me from maintaining proper hygiene.”
You tried to steer the conversation away from the unexpected seriousness, to shake off the weight that had suddenly settled over it. Well, you didn’t quite succeed. Spencer didn’t look particularly convinced—or amused. He gave a slight nod, barely noticeable and likely unconscious.
“I just wanted to make sure. That it’s not getting to you. Not… too much,” he clarified. His words grew tangled again. He dropped his gaze to the doorframe, as if contemplating whether to knock his forehead against it. “I’ll check the bathroom.”
You had spent far too long staring at the door behind which he had disappeared. Only shaking your head helped you force yourself to return to work. The victim's apartment wasn't huge; the living room, kitchen, and bedroom were all part of one room. You stopped by the kitchen area, where a large bowl on the counter still contained fresh fruit. Right next to it lay the apartment key, and although you should have been looking for cameras, you hesitantly picked it up. There was no keychain attached to it, nor was it part of a set of several other keys, as people usually did to keep from losing them. A number of disordered conclusions and theories crossed your mind, even though it was just a key, not a significant piece of evidence or something that shouldn't be there. Maybe the apartment's owner had lost the keys not long ago and had had one copied just before her disappearance, which would explain the lack of wear on it.
That lost set might have ended up in the wrong hands. Or it might not have been lost at all, but stolen.
Absentmindedly, you turned it in your hands, your gaze wandering across your surroundings. A very small space, with a real brick wall on one side and a shelf of dishes above the sink. You knew that the camera had to be somewhere in here, after all, one of the emails had referred to a meal cooked by the victim. Eventually, you stopped at a green plant on the shelf, just beside a stack of clean plates. It was artificial, meaning the victim didn't need to water it, which meant it probably hadn't been paid much attention to, and that meant it was a good hiding spot for a hidden camera.
You parted the leaves and took the small black device in your hand.
Instead of calling Spencer, who was still in the bathroom, you tilted your head back and with a sigh, headed toward the balcony doors, feeling a slight ringing in your ears. It was awful. The very thought of being watched in your own apartment, a place where you should feel safest, for an unknown amount of time.
You leaned against the black railing of the small balcony, which was probably there only because of the fire escape stairs running along the entire building. You just needed to breathe in some fresh air, spend literally a minute outside, but as soon as you looked ahead, that minute started turning into minutes.
After you arrived in New York, you immediately got to work on the case; there had been no time for nostalgic sighs over familiar streets.
You tore your gaze away from them only when someone’s silhouette appeared beside you, turned sideways to face you.
“Two cameras in the bathroom,” Spencer announced. As per your earlier request, he didn’t say exactly where they were placed, and after his words, a moment of silence fell.
You tried your hardest to ensure that no grimace passed across your face. You considered it unprofessional, getting too emotionally involved in the investigation, imagining yourself in the victim's place. But apparently, it even happened to the best of them.
“You really value your privacy, don’t you?”
You glanced at him from the corner of your eye, stopping yourself from rolling them.
"Are you still dwelling on what I said earlier? I'm fine, Spencer."
"I’m only dwelling on what I’ve noticed a long time ago," he said, ignoring your dismissive response. "Well, and also making sure you’re okay. But what I really mean is that you don’t talk much about yourself. I only just found out today that you grew up here. I’m not saying this in a bad way, I get that you might not want to tell me everything about yourself…"
"It’s not about you," you interrupted him, finally turning so you were fully facing him. You once again took note that the balcony was really small. You realized how close you were standing. The closeness that made honesty a bit more necessary. The closeness that made you swallow more often from the dryness in your throat. You cleared your throat, wanting to clarify your somewhat vague words. "I mean, it’s not like I have a problem telling you about me, it’s just… I don’t know, I’ve always been like this. I never really know what’s worth sharing and what’s not. I’ve always been better at listening to what others have to say."
Reid listened to your words with understanding written on his face. You had the feeling that he had become a little bit lighter. He glanced briefly at the railing, and when he looked back at you, he squinted against the sunlight that was streaming onto the balcony.
"I was a bit worried that your silence was because it tires you how much I can talk," he admitted, his tone betraying a hint of hesitation.
You almost let out a laugh.
"It’s actually quite the opposite, trust me."
With those words, you turned back towards the city, trying to avoid his gaze.
"I like listening to you," you added quietly.
You thought he wouldn't add anything more. That you'd both remain frozen for another prolonged moment on this balcony, with the cameras you'd found tucked into your pockets and the looming return to work on the case. That you'd step back inside the apartment, letting the chill in your cheeks fade along with their faintly rosy hue.
"And I..." he began, nervously shifting his grip on the railing. "I really like talking to you."
You strained your memory, but no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't recall any other day at work when you'd smiled so many times.
“The rest is probably still in the other victims’ apartments,” you stated cautiously, recalling the locations of those places. Speaking each word slowly helped you build the courage to voice the spontaneous idea that had just come to you. “We’ve found what we were looking for. Hotch hasn’t called us yet, so I guess we’re free. Are you...are you maybe hungry?”
*
Your knees had brushed against each other.
“Sorry,” Spencer muttered immediately, shifting his chair back slightly.
You pretended to be preoccupied with surveying the interior of the café. To be fair, there was a lot to take in. The décor defied categorization, with every wall covered in a different material and painted a different color. One wall was entirely obscured by an antique bookshelf. From what you could tell, the mismatch extended to the furniture; no two chairs were alike. Some were made of different types of wood, others upholstered in leather, and one even spun on a swivel.
In short, the place looked like the kind of room you’d stumble into during a fever dream—where two chubby cats braid your hair while you have a very serious conversation with a purple teapot trying to convince you to take out a loan at its bank. And somehow, none of it feels the least bit strange. In fact, you’d wake up from the dream genuinely considering the loan.
One of your hands rested on your knee, the same one his had accidentally grazed. You tapped your fingers lightly on it, keeping rhythm with the pop song playing faintly in the background. The other hand was tucked beneath your chin in a classic thinker’s pose. Except, instead of contemplating the mysteries of the universe or arriving at profound insights, you were solely focused on one pressing question: Who on earth decided to use such narrow tables? Tables that constantly forced you to be hyper-aware of the risk of touching his leg. Again.
“There used to be a sandwich bar here,” you said, tearing the croissant apart with your fingers. “I don’t know why, but I didn’t even consider that anything could have changed. Sorry.”
“There’s nothing to apologize for,” Spencer assured you. “Actually, I didn’t realize how much I needed coffee until I caught the smell. Did you come here often?”
“All the time,” you admitted briefly.
You noticed him looking at you with a hint of amusement, which made you furrow your brows.
“What?”
“Nothing,” he replied dismissively, turning the cup in his hands. “It’s just…I remembered what we were talking about earlier, and I thought this might be one of those things worth sharing.”
“Alright,” you said, rolling your eyes, though there wasn’t an ounce of irritation in the gesture. “I used to come here with my friends literally every Friday. It was cheap and relatively close to our school, and none of us had a driver’s license yet, so we walked everywhere, complaining about sweaty people on the subway. Do you think that piece of information is going to be useful to you in any way? Was it worth sharing?”
“Well, believe it or not, I absolutely do,” he chuckled. “Besides, you never know which piece of information might come in handy someday.”
You summed it up with another roll of your eyes, but a soft smile remained stubbornly on your lips. You were genuinely pleased with yourself for breaking the ice and inviting him somewhere, even if at any moment this brief reprieve could be interrupted by a call from your boss, demanding your immediate return. JJ had been right. All it took was just doing it.
“I promised to show you around a bit, remember?” you asked. Having scored a small victory, you decided to keep the momentum going and suggest taking him to a truly special place.
“The offer hasn’t expired, right?”
“It doesn’t have an expiration date. It just depends on, well, our work. I doubt we’ll be able to visit many places. So I’ve made…” you hesitated, unsure if you should admit to spending two full hours obsessively considering where you could take him and even writing it down in the case files. “I’ve thought it through and picked out a few key ones. Places I think you’ll like. So, whenever we have time, maybe in the evening… though no, some of them might be closed then…”
"Places you think I might like?" Spencer interjected gently. You stopped, surprised, unsure why he focused on that particular part of your sentence. "What about the ones that are important to you?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean..." he trailed off, making some vague gesture with his hand. "I was curious about the places you used to visit when you lived here. The ones that meant something to you. Are they on the list, too?"
You didn’t need to physically glance at the list; you had it memorized entirely and knew they weren’t on it. You had chosen the places solely with him in mind—his interests and your desire to impress him. You cleared your throat.
“We don’t have much time,” you gently reminded him. “I wanted to show you the really important places. The highlights of New York or something that would stick in your memory. Not some sandwich bar that, by the way, doesn’t even exist anymore, or a drive-in theater...”
“A drive-in theater?”
“You know, you drive up to a spot and watch a movie being projected. I absolutely loved it, really, but it doesn’t matter because there’s no way we could arrange something like that now.” you explained, your thoughts oddly lingering on the idea of spending time with him in a similar way. "God, I didn’t expect being a tour guide to be this hard. Not only do we barely have time for anything I planned, but my client keeps complaining the whole time..."
"Okay, fine, sorry," he raised his hands in a defensive gesture, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly. "Apologies for wanting to spend time the way you would enjoy. What a jerk I am."
"Exactly, you should be ashamed. I’ll add it to your bill," you teased, taking a sip of your coffee, which you’d completely forgotten about. It had gone cold during your conversation.
"And now, completely seriously," Spencer began again, the sarcastic expression disappearing from his face as he looked at you with genuine interest, those brown eyes steady and curious. "I’ll let you take me anywhere you want. So, what places did you pick?"
You were internally excited to finally tell him about them.
But then, your phone rang.
*
The rest of the day was intense and entirely consumed by the investigation. Unfortunately, you didn’t uncover anything that could genuinely bring you closer to catching the perpetrator. In fact, you didn’t even have a profile yet.
Each of you felt a bit disheartened by the lack of progress. After all, every passing day meant a greater risk that another victim could be harmed in her own home. It was even more unsettling knowing that some woman was likely being stalked at that very moment.
Still, despite the mediocre morale and mounting exhaustion, you managed to summon enough energy and resolve to visit one particular place.
You were just returning from there, walking one behind the other down the narrow hallway of the hotel where you'd been stationed. You could feel Spencer's presence and hear his footsteps just behind you. In your mind, you stubbornly tried to figure out what you should say before you both retreated to your respective rooms.
There was a certain lightness in you, brought on by the release of tension through a pleasant evening, but also a heaviness caused by the weight of your feelings. It had been nice. It had been... wonderful. Yet, it hadn’t brought you any closer to knowing whether he liked you.
Maybe you should talk to JJ again.
You stopped suddenly, hearing Spencer let out a quiet sigh as he almost bumped into your back. You turned on your heel, slowly, feeling a dryness creep into your throat.
Spencer was standing just in front of you, his gaze shifting uncertainly between your face and the floor. He opened his mouth, as if to say something, but immediately closed it, lost in thought. You pressed your lips into a thin line, determined to wait for whatever he might want to say.
“Where are you two coming from at this hour?”
The door to the room next to you suddenly swung open, and Morgan’s head poked out, a smirk plastered across his face as he looked at the two of you.
You both exchanged a brief glance before locking your eyes on him. The sudden presence of another person, standing in front of you with his arms crossed and curiosity in his gaze, made it painfully clear how close you had become to each other.
The most awkward thing you could possibly do now was to step away from each other. And, well, that’s exactly what Spencer did.
You didn’t even flinch, glancing briefly at your colleague.
“From the library,” you replied.
It was the truth. In a compromise between places that might interest him and those that were important to you, you had ended up there. And not just any library, but the largest one in the entire district.
As soon as the thought crossed your mind, a warmth spread inside you. The warmth of walking among the shelves, barely catching glimpses of each other’s faces through the surrounding orange light of the lamps fighting to dominate over the engulfing shadows. The warmth of your clumsy attempts to focus on the environment, not on Spencer’s face, which was so mesmerized as he studied the books. His brow slightly furrowed, hair escaping from its place and falling across his face. Eyes fixed on one spot, pupils stretching across the entire surface of his irises, creating two truly hypnotizing points on his face, which you struggled to avoid staring into.
“From the library at night?” Morgan repeated, shaking his head with a mix of amusement and disbelief. “I knew you were a nerd, Reid, but you… I’m really disappointed in you.”
“Oh no, how will I survive this?” you scoffed. You saw Spencer briefly smile as well. “Anyway, goodnight, my dear coworkers. See you tomorrow.”
With those words, you made your way to your room, feeling somewhat like an escapee.
You knew that there were only a few hours of sleep left, and you needed to at least function a bit in the morning, so you immediately headed for the shower, grabbing something to change into on the way. Two things were on your mind. Was Morgan still torturing Spencer with questions in the hallway? And did Spencer enjoy your time together as much as you did?
As you analyzed your interactions with him, you realized there was an awkwardness you hadn’t noticed before. You never realized that awkwardness could be sweet. You’d always seen it as a purely negative feeling, something that caused embarrassment. But it could also make your heart race and cause your breathing to quicken. And dizziness, when you tried to control it all.
You felt like you had regressed to your high school days. You almost wanted to run to your friend and excitedly tell her all about the evening. For a moment, you even considered it, but JJ was probably already asleep.
You stepped out of the shower, wrapped in a towel, and when you pulled on a tank top and some loose pajama pants, you started gathering the clothes you’d worn earlier that day. As you lifted your pants, something small fell out of the pocket and clinked as it hit the floor.
A single key.
It took you a moment to realize that you must have accidentally taken it from one of the victims' apartments. Back when you discovered the hidden camera in the plant, you must have mindlessly shoved it into your pocket. A nervous pang of anxiety shot through your chest. You shouldn’t have taken anything from that place. Another sharp pang followed quickly after, as the sight in front of your eyes suddenly blurred, and something started to form in your mind.
At first, it was a shy thought. But almost immediately, it became a thought that needed to be discussed. Because it could push the investigation forward.
You rushed into the hallway before even deciding where to go. There, you turned in circles, unsure of what to do. This wasn’t an idea that warranted waking Hotch; honestly, you would’ve felt foolish going to him in the middle of the night with just a flicker of an insight in your head. So you thought of someone else—sharp in the way you needed, incredibly intelligent, and probably still awake, since you had just parted ways a mere fifteen minutes ago.
You knocked on Spencer's door.
“I have a theory,” you announced, shifting nervously from foot to foot.
His face registered surprise at the sight of you at this hour, his hand—still rubbing sleep from his eye—froze in place before dropping to his side. He must’ve just been lying down.
“A theory about what?” he asked, his voice a little rough with sleep.
Quite a pleasant rasp. Wait, no, refocusing…
“About who built the pyramids in Giza,” you huffed, the potential solution to the case accompanied by a little stress, and stress, for you, always came out in the form of a biting sarcasm as soon as you opened your mouth.
You slipped past him, effectively inviting yourself inside. Spencer was too surprised to step aside in time, so you inadvertently brushed against his side. Well, you didn’t want to have this conversation in the hallway, for fear that your voices would attract Morgan or anyone else.
“Well, it’s not really a secret, despite what some people like to think,” Spencer started, closing the door behind you and turning uncertainly toward you. His gaze quickly darted to you, sweeping over your body. He shook his head slightly, as if trying to focus. He must’ve been sleepy, and it probably wasn’t coming easily. “The construction of those monumental structures required the labor of many workers…”
“I have a theory about the case.”
You didn’t really think it would need further clarification. Without fully controlling your movements, you collapsed onto his bed, sitting at the edge. Suddenly, the confidence you had felt in the bathroom vanished.
He didn’t sit down, instead standing in front of you, his hands constantly shifting position. At one moment, they were crossed over his chest, and then, after a brief pause, he dropped them back to his sides. His gaze seemed restless too—almost strange. Sometimes it dropped to you, but then quickly changed direction, as though he was trying to find the right exit off a roundabout before giving up and returning to the starting point. That is, back to you. But you were too lost in your own thoughts to wonder what it was about your appearance that so intensely drew his gaze.
"Okay," he said slowly, coughing into his clenched fist to clear the roughness in his voice. "Okay. I guess that's a good thing. What's the theory? Do you need to talk it through?"
“That’s why I came here,” you replied, taking in a little more air than necessary, trying to logically connect the scattered conclusions that had formed in your mind. “Listen, it might turn out that what I’m saying makes absolutely no sense. But it might also turn out that it does have some logic to it. I want you to tell me which of these options you think is true. So... I couldn’t stop thinking about that key in the victim’s apartment, the one we were in. It looked brand new, like it had just been made. At first, I thought maybe she’d lost the old one somewhere. It ended up in the wrong hands. The unsub’s hands. That would explain how he got inside without leaving any signs of forced entry. But that would make sense if there had only been one victim. There were many, though, and it’s impossible for each one of them to have lost their keys recently. Unless they were stolen. Or maybe it was the loss of the keys that led to them becoming victims in the first place.”
The biggest mystery that had come up on your team’s path was how the unsub was even choosing his victims. They were all around the same age, all women, and lived alone. Other than that, they were completely different. They lived in different places, looked nothing alike, had different professions, and were of different races.
“So…” you continued, searching his face for any sign. Any trace of understanding, a hint that he was connecting the dots. Some confirmation. But Spencer just stood there, motionless, looking like he was only half present, his gaze fixed on you.
“I came to what might be...a bit of a bold conclusion. Maybe the unsub works as someone who makes spare keys. People come to him, including women. He picks the ones that fit his preferences, makes himself a copy, and that’s how he gets in to install hidden cameras. And then... well, to…” You paused, noticing his unwavering stare. “What? What are you looking at me like that for? Do you think I’m talking nonsense?”
He looked like he had suddenly snapped out of some daydream. He shook his head, scratching his chin, and taking a step in place, all of these actions flowing together in an incoherent, chaotic manner.
“I don’t think so,” he said after a moment. “It’s... interesting, and…you know, I think this is the first time I’ve seen you in something other than a formal outfit.”
Your eyebrows shot up. That was the last thing you expected him to say. While he had been fidgeting earlier, now he stood completely still. It was true, you usually dressed quite elegantly, not just for work. But you didn’t know why it seemed to impress him so much.
You didn’t know until you looked down and remembered your top. The one hastily thrown on, with a deep neckline. Seriously, was that really all about it?
You sighed in disbelief and stood up from the bed.
"Sure," you let out a biting chuckle, though, despite not wanting to admit it to yourself, you could feel a tingling sensation creeping under your skin. "Tell a guy about your breakthrough discovery, and he won't even listen, too busy staring at your boobs."
You took two steps toward the door, but Spencer blocked your way, grabbing your forearm.
“Th-that's not what I meant!” he stammered in an unusually high-pitched tone, his wide eyes reflecting panic. Whether from your sudden reaction or the fact that you caught him.
His hand loosened its grip on your arm, just below your elbow, but he didn't let go. The way he held on brought you closer together, and the realization of how near you were, along with his face right in front of yours, stole the breath from your chest. You couldn't help but reflect on how everything so far had made you both close in proximity. First the narrow balcony where your shoulders almost brushed against each other, then the tiny table in the café where your knees kept knocking, even the way you accidentally brushed past him when you entered his room.
But this closeness wasn’t accidental. It was his doing, controlled by him, and, judging by the shock on his face after a quick glance, it seemed to surprise him as well.
He didn’t let go of you.
Instead, he focused his gaze on your face. You kept your head lowered, staring at his fingers gently holding your arm. You could hear him swallow softly before he spoke, his voice slightly raspy again, but this time not from sleep.
"I think your theory makes a lot of sense," he said. "And...it’s given me a lot to think about. It’s probably a man around forty years old. He works as a locksmith, using that job to gain access to his victims’ homes where he installs cameras. He sees these women as objects of his fantasies, and watching them provides him with some sort of fulfillment. His behavior stems from an unfulfilled need for closeness and control, which he can’t find in normal relationships. He’s socially inept, has low self-esteem, and a poor sense of self-worth. He writes to these women, idealizes them, sees them as his chosen ones, living in an alternate reality where he doesn’t see the boundary between fantasy and reality."
There was a moment of silence between you, as you analyzed the profile he had just presented.
"That's...impressive," you confessed slowly, still dazed by the sudden closeness, your gaze stubbornly avoiding his face.
"And that's all..." he began, but then suddenly stopped. The word simply dissolved in a hesitant, trembling way. You heard him take a deep breath. "And that's all while looking at your breast."
You suddenly lifted your head.
Never, not in a million years, did you think you’d find yourself in a situation where you’d hear such words coming from him. Your jaw slightly dropped, and a strange feeling spread through your stomach. You were not only shocked but also, in a way, on the verge of laughter because of the surprise on his face. It was as if he had said it by accident and didn't quite believe it himself. At the same time, something inside you tickled.
You let out a short sigh, sounding almost like a burst of laughter.
Spencer released your forearm, and as your silence dragged on, deep embarrassment began to consume his expression.
"Sorry...I don't know why I said that..."
You interrupted him by raising your hand.
"No," you said briefly, shaking your head slightly. "That was really impressive."
Confused, he studied your face. When you smiled, he hesitantly mirrored it, though he probably didn’t even know why—he was simply mimicking your expression.
Without turning back, you took two slow steps toward the door.
"You’ll have to present that profile to Hotch," you announced, resting your hand on the doorknob. Spencer still hadn’t moved, and his face bore a hard-to-decipher expression—part apology, part embarrassment, and part... something else. A certain spark.
Before stepping out and leaving him in that state, you glanced back at him one last time with a smirk.
"Just do me a favor and don’t mention the circumstances under which it was developed, alright?"
He crossed his arms over his chest, allowing himself one more smile—this time a genuine one.
"Trust me. I wasn’t planning on it.”
*
Hotch stared at you for a moment in silence, and the corner of his mouth…twitched?! For the first time since you started working at the BAU, you managed to make your boss smile.
It would be nice to know why.
The next day, thanks to the conclusions you and Spencer had reached in his room, you finally managed to catch the unsub. Your theory about the locksmith turned out to be correct. And when you realized it was Friday, a certain thought crossed your mind. You just needed to clear it with the boss. Well, actually, you only needed to inform him that you and one other team member wouldn't be on the jet that day. Taking advantage of the upcoming weekend, you decided to extend your stay in New York for one more day.
A day that you could spend however you wanted.
The idea came to you so spontaneously that you hadn’t even discussed it with Spencer yet, but you felt, you hoped, that he wouldn't surprise you by turning it down.
The only thing standing in your way was that mysterious smile on Hotch’s face.
“Is that a problem?” you asked, furrowing your brows.
He just shook his head, returning to his usual expression. Though it seemed slightly softer, or maybe it was just your impression.
“It’s not a problem,” he assured. “Reid actually asked me the same thing about ten minutes ago.”
*
“Just, for the record, don’t mention to anyone what we used the company car for,”
"Do you really think I'd go bragging to the office that we used an unmarked police car just to have a place to watch movies at a drive-in?"
He barely caught the bag of chips you tossed at him.
"Just making sure," you said, climbing into the back of the car.
Well, it was definitely a pastime much more popular in the summer, which is why there weren’t many other vehicles around. And also why you immediately curled up under your cozy blanket, claiming almost all of it for yourself. The only source of light in that peaceful spot was the large screen ahead of you, with the movie beginning. But even in the dim lighting, you could see him tilt his head and slightly pout.
You sighed and shared the blanket with him. Or rather, you moved closer enough that the fabric could cover both of you. You added it to the list of situations where, once again, you found yourselves in circumstances that somehow required physical contact. It made you wonder if, somewhere up there, some force was orchestrating the universe’s chessboard in such a way that these moments seemed to happen more often than not.
Of course, not that it bothered you.
While you were still struggling with the blanket, trying to find the most comfortable position, Spencer told you a little about the awards that Roman Holiday had won.
“Sorry if I’m disturbing you,” he suddenly said.
“I told you, I like listening to you,” you reminded him, turning your face slightly toward his.
Finally, everything was perfect. The blanket wrapped around you in the most comfortable way, you could lean your back against the trunk and your shoulder against his. He was there.
“Yeah, but the movie just started.”
“I’ve seen it,” you announced. Somehow, you couldn’t take your eyes off his profile, even though all you could see was the outline of his jaw and nose, and the barely noticeable glint in his eye. “And I really like it. But just so you know, I didn’t pick it just to... you know.”
“Know what?”
“It’s a romantic comedy.”
He turned toward you, and you saw him flinch slightly, realizing that your gaze had been on him for quite some time. Spencer gave a slight shake of his head, furrowing his brows in confusion. You could have easily brushed it off, accepted that he didn’t understand what you meant. Probably, with anyone else, you would have. But you noticed that the more time you spent with him, the surprisingly more talkative you became. So, you continued without thinking too much about your words.
“What I mean is, I didn’t pick this movie to fit a date. It just so happens that today…”
“Is this a date?” he blurted out.
You stiffened completely, not just because of his question, but because of the genuine surprise in his voice. You wanted to ask, isn’t this a date? but your lips refused to open. Instead, you just stared at him motionless for a moment, hoping he might laugh it off.
After the conversation in his room, after he decided to stay one more day in New York for you, after you both chose to watch the movie just the two of you…Officially, neither of you had called it a date, but you had assumed that deep down, you both saw it that way. Apparently, you were wrong.
"The movie has already started," you muttered, nodding toward the screen. It had begun some time ago, but you had no idea how to change the topic. You had to do it because of the growing sense of embarrassment consuming you from the inside.
You had told him you thought it was a date. It was like telling him you liked him. Which, in fact, was true, but you didn’t want him to be aware of it, especially since he didn’t feel the same!
“Hey,” he suddenly began, his voice a little strained. You pretended not to hear, staring at the screen. Spencer sighed and leaned forward to block your view of it, forcing you to look at him. His eyes nervously searched your face, you saw him swallow. “Is this a date for you?”
You wanted to push him away for asking the same question again.
"It doesn’t matter," you replied. Your tone was sharp but not aggressive. It was the same tone you used most days at work to make it clear to others that you expected to be treated with respect and that the situation or case you were working on was serious. "If this isn’t a date for you, then it isn’t a date. End of story. Can you move? I can’t see…”
“But I…” he began, not moving an inch. His forehead remained furrowed, and his brows slightly lowered over his eyes—genuine, still somewhat surprised eyes, trying to connect with yours. Finally, under their silent pressure, you gave in and looked at him. Spencer’s expression softened. "I didn't even dare to hope that this was a date!"
Something—some feeling—clung tightly to your shoulders, pulling them both forward, toward him, and backward, against the wall of the trunk.
“You’re only saying that to spare me from feeling awkward. And so we don’t have to spend the next few hours… the next day in an unbearably embarrassing atmosphere,” you stated, genuinely believing those words to be true. “Which I’m probably not making any easier. Maybe we should just forget it…”
“Do you wish this was a date?” he asked, and you barely resisted the urge to roll your eyes. Of course, you did. You wanted to scream it into his beautiful face. Spencer exhaled loudly. “Because I’d want it to be. I really would.”
You lingered in a moment of suspension, unable to decide whether to believe him. Your job had taught you not to always trust words. Just words.
“Prove it,” you said softly but firmly.
Deep down, you didn’t know what you expected. And neither did Spencer, standing opposite you. Like you, he didn’t move at all. Only subtle changes flickered across his expression. Another crease formed on his forehead as he tried to decipher what lay behind your words. After a long moment, during which neither of you seemed to breathe, his gaze dropped to your lips. That’s when he understood.
You knew he was going to kiss you. You waited for it, ready to meet him, to gently place your hand on his cheek and feel the warmth of his lips against yours. You waited to sweep away the lingering question mark hanging above you both with one decisive motion, replacing it with a firm period.
Was this a date?
It was a date.
Spencer placed his hand under your chin, holding it close to him. Preventing you from pulling away when he momentarily broke the kiss. You saw the smooth flutter of his eyelashes as he shifted his sparkling gaze from your lips to your eyes.
“Sorry,” he rasped.
You couldn’t help but smile slightly.
“Are you apologizing for kissing me?” you asked, raising your eyebrows slightly.
He shook his head, a fleeting smile appearing on his face as well.
“I’m sorry for sometimes being so stupid,” he replied. “About these things.”
You closed your eyes again, letting out a soft snort of laughter. Suddenly, all of it—this whole dance you had been performing around each other, the panic when you realized you liked him, and the fear that he wouldn’t feel the same—seemed utterly absurd. But that’s just how people are, isn’t it? Looking back at the past with a touch of pity.
"Let’s agree on this. We’re both complete idiots."
Spencer was silent for a moment, lost in thought.
“We were,” he corrected you.
"We aren’t anymore?” you asked.

Okay but this is actually a perfect metaphor for-
Hold on
*scramble to get a projector screen and flashcards*
*clears throat*
One of the best pieces of writing advice I've seen recently that really helped me with my current WIPs is to just go ahead and write The Perfect Scene in the middle, and figure the rest out later!! Break free of the myth that you must write in a linear fashion!! Yes you must eventually fill in the bits before and after The Perfect Scene, so that the readers understand whatever wild and wacky journey you're bringing them on, but it shouldn't be a slog to get there - by the time you get there, you'll have muddled through the before bits and struggled so much you'll either resent the fic and give up, or The Perfect Scene won't live up to your ridiculously high expectations because of how long it took you to get there.
✨For example ✨
the current WIP I'm working on I'm estimating will have 25-30 chapters (and probably an epilogue). I have written as far as chapter 10 and have posted as far as chapter 4. I am estimating the dramatic resolution of the plot will occur in or around chapter 23-27. That's roughly 13-17 chapters in the future. Now that the holidays are over, and I'm back to work and various other commitments, I have no idea how long it'll take me to get there! It could be weeks or months! So I can't guarantee that I'll have the same enthusiasm for The Perfect Scene in weeks or months from now - and, in case I don't, I may as well partially write it now just as insurance. Even if it's not perfect, I can change it later, and at least I have an ideal to work towards!
More juicy writing advice
Another small piece of advice is to keep a note of the things that inspire you - for me it's song lyrics, which is why many of my pics begin with a playlist. In my tumblr drafts I have two posts where I'm writing a reflection on the writing process for this WIP and for a series which soon will be ending (sadly). Nobody ever necessarily needs to read your reflections, but it helps me to write these reflections as if I was planning on sharing them here, which I may do if there's interest. (but also it's your blog?!! you can do wtf you want with it?!! If you want to write critical reflection of your own work then just do it because I guarantee it will interest other fic authors, I love hearing about other fic authors experiences and writing journeys!)
Anyway hope this helps somebody 🤗🫶
#writing#writers on tumblr#my writing#Ao3#ao3 fanfic#And same goes for writing professionally/academically!! Write your abstract last always!! Rules mean nothing and the universe is infinite#writing advice

A little dark but how about Logan slipping the reader an aphrodisiac into their drink or something to make her have sex with him. And since he is their drive home, she becomes desperate and needy for a release from him despite not understanding what’s happening to her is she’s usually kinda innocent
note: no one will understand how much I need this.
———
“L-Logan, how long until we’re at the school?” Y/n asked as the throbbing between her legs ached more. She’s never been the type to get turned on. She usually has to build up to it, but tonight, she couldn’t help but squirm in her seat.
“Maybe a half an hour,” Logan lied, knowing they were just down the road. “Fuck,” Y/n said under her breath as she shifted in her seat, embarrassed about how much she wanted to touch herself for at least a second. She needed it to go away.
“Why, what’s up, bub?” Logan asked, acting innocent until he didn’t have to. “Nothing, just- Maybe step on it,” y/n said, meaning for him to drive faster.
“Well, it ain’t hard to see something's going on with you. Just tell me, bub,” Logan said, but y/n couldn’t. “It’s fine-“ y/n tried lying again, but Logan wanted her to tell him what he knew was happening.
“Y/n, don’t start with this secretive shit, okay? I wanna know what’s up with you,” Logan spoke as he placed a hand on her thigh, wanting her to feel more throbbing through her body.
Logan could smell her hours ago. He always smelled her, but after he slipped those pills into her, he could barely shop being around her. He neared to rip her to shreds a while ago, but he held himself together. He needed her to start.
“Look, don’t start laughing when I tell you this — I-I don’t know what’s up, but I’m, like, really fucking throbbing right now. Like, I feel like I’ve been edging myself for hours,”
Y/n and Logan had been friends for a while, so the way she spoke about her situation didn’t phase him. She was just afraid the situation would throw him off.
“What do you mean? Like, you’re honey or something?” Logan asked, feeling his cock pulse through his jeans. He knew he was close to starting what he’d been wanting to do for years.
“Yeah, I guess — Look, just get home. I can’t hold my shit,” y/n said as she crossed her legs. “You need help?” Logan asked, making y/n remember his hand was still over her thigh. She felt a small grip, which made her heart drop.
“N-No, no, I’m good,” y/n said, slowly moving Logan’s hand away because his touch was too much for her. She’s never actually thought of him in any sexual way, but now, she’s realizing the effect he could have on her.
“Why? We’re friends here, and I don’t want you pissy the whole ride back,” Logan said, but y/n shook her head and pushed at his hand that tried to make it back to her thigh.
“I’m okay, I swear — J-Just get us home,” Logan sighed with an eye roll as he pulled off to the side of the dark road. “Logan, please don’t fuck around,” y/n whined as Logan put the car in park and hopped out.
“Logan, what is this about,” y/n leaned back in her seat as Logan walked around the car. The more time that passed, the worse she felt. She felt like she was going to explode at any small rub on her bud.
“We’re far out, and you don’t look like you’re gonna make it,” Logan said as he opened the door. Before y/n could speak, the man pulled under out of the car and pushed her upper body down on her seat.
“Logan, what the hell!” Y/n shouted as she leaned up, not comprehending what was happening until Logan forced her leggings down. “Hey!” Y/n tried turning around, but Logan pushed her back down on the seat.
“Oh, relax — We’re adults — It’s not like you haven’t done this before,” Logan said as he tugged in his own clothes. “Yeah, but not outside. In the dark! In public!” Y/n said but stopped moving.
The woman allowed Logan to roam her body. If he was willing to do this, why would she stop him?
“Just stay still, bub. I’ll help you,” Logan said before he pushed at her cunt. Y/n was surprised at how fast he was willing to help her and be with her. If he wanted, he could’ve rubbed her while he continued driving.
“Hey, hey, relax,” Logan pinned y/n down as she twitched and squirmed. “Fuck,” the young lady moaned low as she tried her best to take him in with ease.
One hand of Logan’s gripped y/n’s ass to spread. He noticed he was probably too big for y/n to handle, but he didn’t go through all of this for nothing.
“Sssh, bub, you’ll be fine — Just fine,” Logan whispered as he continued pushing into her until he was fully in. “Oh, yeah — That’s it,” the man basically growled before he began moving his hips.
“Oh my god,” Y/n said low as tears rolled down her cheeks. “Too fucking big, Logan- Fuck,” y/n tried moving to make this more comfortable, but the way he dug into her, forced her to understand that her body had minimal time left until she bursts.
“Y/n, stay still, before I get unfriendly,” Logan threatened as he slowly thrusted, trying to enjoy how tight she was gripping him. “L-Lo, give me a second — Please,” y/n asked, he ignored.
Y/n tried again to lean up, which only angered Logan. He tried being nice, but y/n has always been hard-headed.
“Look,” Logan gripped a hand full of the young lady's hair and tugged back. “You’re either gonna take it nice and easy, or I’ll rip that orgasm out of you,” Logan threatened again.
“Maybe if you fucking wait, I could-“ Before she could finish, Logan slapped his hand over her mouth and began pounding into her. Y/n’s muffled cries were all she could do.
“You needa learn some fucking respect when you’re the one horny and vulnerable,” Logan hissed the girl's ear as his hips slapped against her ass harder. The noises filled the dark road, only turning Logan on more.
“Such a good cunt. Heaven sent, and I knew it from the smell of you — I’m just upset you kept it from me for so damn long,”
Logan pushed Y/n’s head into the seat after unlatching his hand from her mouth. “Logan!” Y/n basically screamed as the knot got harder to hold.
“Funny knowing your pussy isn’t the only one crying. Look at you. So damn wet. I could keep you in my room and feed off of you for weeks,”
Y/n’s eyes rolled to the back of her head as her body went stiff. “Oh, yeah — There she is,” Logan groaned as he picked up his pace. “Ah huh, ah huh,” Logan kept on as y/n gushed around the man with a loud cry.
“That’s what you’ve been holdin? C’mon, baby. I know you’ve got more in you,” y/n shook her head, hoping Logan would give her a small break before she fully passed out. “Too much,”
“Too much? Oh, please. You think ima stop because you’re about to cum again?” Logan quickly pulled out and turned y/n around. “C’mon, baby, you should’ve known,”
Logan laid y/n down on her back before pushing right back into her. “Oh my god,” y/n whined as she threw her head back, loving the feeling of Logan taking her over. She never knew he’d be this good.
“Don’t worry, baby. After I’m done, we’ll head home — Maybe I should slip a pill down your pretty mouth more often,”
Y/n tried looking up at Logan to see if she heard right, but another orgasm was near. “Yeah, I did that, baby, but you ain’t complaining, right? You fucking love this,”

Cho Hyun-ju/Player 120 - Headcannons (sfw + nsfw)
Synopsis: more Hyun-ju headcannons !
A/N: ask and i shall serve !!
Warnings: smut content
SFW:
➠ i'm immediately jumping into the scene in the last episode where she was locked in bc holy moly she was so hot.. ➠ wouldn't let you go with her unless you were well-trained with a gun and able to handle it ➠ even then she's always keeping you close behind her ➠ When she's not shooting at the guards, she's looking at you to make sure you're doing okay ➠ if you run out of ammo, she doesn't hesitate to give you one of her magazines ➠ If you end up panicking she's immediately there to distract you from the gunshots and reassuring you that everything is fine and you'll both be okay ➠ and you both will be because she refuses to die or to let you die ➠ not when you both had already made plans for Thailand after you get out of here ➠ On a lighter note !! ➠ most doting girl ever ➠ does give you some of her food sometimes if you're feeling hungry ➠ If someone insults you, she's instantly at your side to defend you ➠ she HATES people thinking they can treat you badly ➠ do play with her hair she loves it sm ➠ expect her to hold your hand a lot because she's not afraid of PDA ➠ late night talks after lights out which sometimes just turns into staring into each others eyes ➠ so many quiet "I love you"'s whispered during those talks too ➠ likes when you cup her face in your hands honestly ➠ you guys are always talking about WHEN you make it out of this place and never if ➠ so so many plans for Thailand ➠ After the death of Young-mi, she definitely needed your comfort and got so much more protective of you ➠ if you go to the bathrooms, she's right there behind you ➠ you're basically never alone during the games ➠ Absolutely fights for you ➠ Overall, so protective of you and not afraid to put someone in their place if they disrespect you
"I have a few nice places to live in Thailand saved on my phone. I can show you them when we get out," you speak from your bed as you turn to face her. She smiles slightly at your words and nods her head. You both had been planning for Thailand since forever and now the dream seemed so much closer with the money you could take home. Even if some people died, neither of you would be next. Not as long as you were there to protect each other and survive this hellish place together. "I'd like that,"
NSFW:
➠ Again, she's gentle. ➠ not a big fan of having public sex so she often takes you to the bathroom with her if you guys are in the mood ➠ most skillfull pussy eater icl ➠ she knows exactly how to make you feel good ➠ gentle and meaningful kisses that convey so much love ➠ she's just a gentle cutie ➠ always whispering praises to you ➠ baby, my girl, sweetheart - literally every sweet pet name in the book ➠ refuses to be rough with you because she wants to help you relax and be calm from the stress of the games and the death ➠ always kisses you after making you cum on her fingers ➠ which happens quite quickly honestly.. ➠ she's just a little too good at fingering you.. ➠ she's practically memorized every part of you though that's why ➠ encourages volume and expressing how you feel ➠ she bases her pace on your facial expressions because she's ridiculously observant ➠ Overall, gentle girlfriend who knows how to please you<3
"You're close, yeah?" She says quietly as she looks up at you, her fingers continuing to thrust in and out of you quickly. The two of you didn't have a lot of time as the guard waiting just outside the bathroom likely wouldn't let you stay for long. That's why she was so quick with her fingers. The last thing she'd want is for you to be left without a release. "Go ahead. Cum on my fingers, my love,"

having INSANE di!leon brainrot rn so here goes:
dilf-coded neighbor leon that’s always gone and you can’t decide if it’s from crazy benders or some top secret governmental job (you decide it’s probably both) and you KNOW you should stay away but man full of secrets…and sexy…why would you?
one day you get a knock on your door and it’s him, and he’s asking for tech support (bcs old man) but all you can focus on are his low sweatpants and the way his shirt tightens when he moves (dear god) and his slutty little glasses??? i firmly believe that leon wears slutty frameless spectacles (like that one kole guy from tiktok…iykyk)
and you’re helping him reset his computer, hunched over the kitchen counter and trying every trick in the book, but it just won’t work, and he comes up behind you while you’re rubbing your temples in frustration like “it’s okay, honey, i’ll look at later.” speaking in this low soothing voice that makes you unconsciously hitch your breath. and he knows, because he’s pulling you into him, asking if you can help him out with something else instead
technical difficulties long forgotten, he’s spreading your thighs on the counter and eating you out messy and loud. he’s a talker. like he won’t stop moaning into your pussy and saying things like, “you like it when this old man takes care of you?” and praising how pretty you look rutting against him.
he gets his WHOLE face in there, nose constantly nuzzling against your clit, tongue flattening against your insides. he’s the kind of guy to experiment with his movements until you squeal and not let off when you finally do, drawing so many noises out of you that you have to bite the back of your hand.
and!! i thoroughly believe he would shortcircuit when you suck on his fingers. like, he has the impulse to move your hand away from your mouth and swipe his thumb along your bottom lip, but then you part your mouth to suck on his finger and he moans at the sight of it. and then he picks you up and throws you on the living room couch, no matter your weight! pretty soon he’s fucking you senseless while swearing that he’ll get a desk job, transfer departments, just so he can come home and spoil you every night like this <3

tw: mentions of neglect/abuse
carer with a traumatized age regressor they know they're helping to heal everytime they slip.
never received toys/were given very few toys as a kid? bubbas spoiling you in all the toys you want! if their kiddo is a little more shy and feeling guilty, they'll notice their little one eyeing a toy. "do you want it puppy? no need to feel bad, i just wanna give you everything you deserve"
went without food in public? carer will always order something for you, you never have to watch them eat while you have nothing. "oh honey I would never~ not only is that mean, but you gotta grow big and strong like me!"
went without food/snacks in private? your caregiver always makes sure they stock up on your favorite snacks and brands- no matter how specific they are. there's no shame in only eating a certain brand or flavor of chips. there's always groceries in the house and they're happy to cook for you, wanting to make sure you're safe AND fed. "are you hungy? I can get my sweetheart their favorite snack until the pastas done?"
had bad physical treatment? they would NEVER even THINK about laying a hand on you. if you misbehave or act up, they understand you're just in littlespace. like real kids, emotions can be hard and some moments arent good. sometimes kids like to test boundaries, there's nothing wrong with that. they won't let it slide and will issue lines, time outs, and stuff like early bedtime or shorter playtime- but nothing physical or mentally damaging. "angel I know you're all upset and shouting at bubba, but I need you to sit in the chair for 5 minutes. we don't yell."
missed out on a lot of childhood experiences? that's okay! your cg is soooo happy to integrate anything into their routine. whether it's storytime, going to the park, holiday celebrations, they're happy to accomodate! "oh you wanna have a bubba baby book read before your nap? of course little one!"
touch starved and wanting a lot of physical affection? they'll love on you SO much to try and make up for it! cuddles, pats, carries, boops, you got it! "awww does munchkin need a hug? cmere"
weren't treated the best emotionally? they understand how it can impact you. your carer always reminds you that you're not a burden, it wasn't your fault, and they truly do love you. they're not lying to you, they don't hate you, there's no maliciousness or ulterior motives- just pure love and care. "I know it was a lot, and I'm sorry you had to live through that angel- but I'm glad you're with me now. As long as I'm here, and as long as you'll let me- I won't let anyone treat you like that again. I pinky promise, my little love. Always, and forever."
Icl, this was very self indulgent to me- but I hope anyone who can sadly relate feels atleast a little bit of comfort and wholesomeness from this. I believe you. You're strong.

♡ i wish you would've stayed - LN 4 ♡
Summary: you and lando had a fling and things end but did he lie? he found someone new when he said he wasn't ready.
WC: 2636
CW: angst, very small mention of weight loss, overuse of song lyrics, use of quotes i found on tiktok
How can it be that everytime someone says they aren’t ready for a relationship with you, they always end up ready for the girl after?
You and Lando had been friends for a couple of months before you ended up developing feelings for him. Like, who wouldn’t fall for him? He’s funny, cute, and charming. You guys would talk for hours on end. Everytime you two would find something in common, it felt like the invisible string between the two of you was real. Maybe all these things were signs that you had finally met your person.
When you were able to talk to him, it felt like everything was okay. When it felt like no one wanted you around, he did. It didn’t matter if you just had a hellish day or not, he was always able to bring you back to joy and contentness in a second. He showed you how it felt to be loved, for the first time in your life.
When you’d confessed to him about your feelings for him, he’d said he liked you as well. You remember nearly bursting into tears as giddiness swirled in your chest. This was the first time your feelings had been well received, and it was someone who you had really grown fond of. He didn’t want to be anything yet so as to not feel pressured so early in this relationship and you understood, you were fine with it. The two of you often joked about what to call your situation as neither of you liked the term ‘situationship’ and ‘casual’ definitely wasn’t it. It was just two people who really liked each other and wanted to see how things went.
Everyday, the two of you spoke for hours at a time and it was fun. You’d shared music with each other and you’d actually grown to enjoy music from his favorite artist. When you asked him to make a playlist of all his favorite songs by the artist, he was genuinely so excited and got to work instantly. You loved seeing him so happy and you’re glad it was because of you, selfishly so. When he’d sent you the playlist, he’d named it one of the verses from a song that you had sort of dedicated to him. You really fell hard for him.
Even though it had just been a month or so, you were excited to picture a life with him. The two of you had even planned out your future home together. The colors of the walls of every room had already been picked out and it was the happiest you had been in a long time.
“We’re gonna have a house by the beach, yeah? And we’re gonna have a dog that’s practically our baby. And we’re gonna name it ‘Lando’.”
“Lan, why are we naming it after you?” you softly laughed.
“Well, when I was a kid, my family had gotten a dog and it was my job to name it. As the uncreative child I was, I named it after the best thing ever. Myself.” he smiled cheekily.
“No way. Oh my god.” you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Hold on. I’m not done painting the scene.”
“Alright, apologies, my love. Please continue.”
“So our dog, Lando, will lie in the sheets with us. The sun will always shine and there will be a ring on your hand. On your ring finger specifically. And I’ll hold you every night.”
But he lied. He made a promise he could never keep. He tried and tried until he couldn’t.
As time went by, his texts began to slow down. But you weren’t upset. When the two of you began this whirlwind of a relationship, he’d mentioned how with work and his mental health, he’d often go days without having the energy to talk to anyone. You understood, you’d been there before, you told him as long as he would talk to you whenever he was able, that you were going to be okay. And you were. Your days would go by where you wouldn’t get a text from him and it was okay. You were productive during the days and while you did miss him, you knew his struggles and you let him be with the occasional messages to check on him.
Then one Thursday in the fall, your world came crashing down. You sort of knew it was coming. There were signs that you chose to ignore, hoping it wasn’t true. But then you got the text “I don’t think we should talk anymore.” You really tried to understand. He said he felt guilty for dragging you along and that he didn’t want to keep doing it to you. He said he was tired and he wasn’t able to maintain a relationship of any sort. So you said ok. That was the last time the two of you spoke.
For weeks, you cried over this loss. It wasn’t just about essentially getting dumped. To you, he was your best friend and you lost him. That was the worst part. Not the fact that you didn’t have anyone to love anymore. Not that he just up and left. It was the fact that he was your friend before everything and you don’t have any part of him now.
You knew you had some fault in the ending though. You’d said things that weren’t the right things to say at the time. You had messed up often. You just wish you could take those back though. You wish you could’ve said something different. Then maybe he’d still be yours.
You told your friends what happened and it’s safe to say they all dislike him now. After everything, they started stating their opinions and talked shit about him but it didn’t help. You didn’t hate him, although you should have. You wished you could hate him and be angry, but you’re not. You’re just sad.
Everything reminds you of him. Every song is about him. Every poem is about him. Every book is about him. The blue in the water is him. The sun shining through your window is him. His face is everywhere. His voice is everywhere. His laugh is everywhere. The laugh you thought you would get to listen to for forever, is now a stranger.
You would find yourself still imagining things with him after the end of everything. You’d think of him in the stupidest things. You’d think of him while in the shower, how it’d be nice to have your things with his sitting along the edge of the tub. You would even imagine running out of soap so you would end up using his. You would go to work and the store wearing it. Only when in the night, when you would lay next to him in bed, would you smell where all your missing soap had gone.
It was those stupid little things that made the healing process so much harder.
He forgot you overnight. Meanwhile you lost your head and appetite. You ate a lot like a fly. Your anxiety had also gotten worse, making your heart race every second of the day. You thought of giving up everything. It was a dramatic thing to consider considering you couldn’t even classify what happened as a breakup, as he was never yours.
After some time, the tears stopped. The heartbreak didn’t, but you were able to continue with your life and get through some days. Every so often, you still check on him through social media, just to make sure he’s okay. Of course, that came back to bite you in the ass when you found out he was talking to someone.
The day you found it, your heart dropped and it felt like that Thursday all over again. All that healing had gone out the window because now everything feels like a lie. Was he making fun of you with some esoteric joke?
He said he wasn’t ready for a relationship, that he couldn’t maintain any relationship. He said he cared about you. You believed it. You were stupid to believe it. A fool for thinking any of it was real. The house, the songs, every little thing was a lie. All you ever thought about was there the hell he was and if he was okay but he didn’t give two shits about you. There was never a you and him. And there never would be.
You go back and forth between being angry and sad. You can’t tell if you’re making everything up in your head whether it was your relationship with him or the events after.
Every page you wrote, he was on it. Every word you wish you could say to him.
After letting you sulk for a few months, your friends dragged you out of the house so you could all go to a club and just have fun. There was no pressure to meet someone or walk away with someone. They said that all you owed them was to show up and have fun. So you went.
The night was beautiful at first. After pregaming a bit, you ordered yourself a drink at the club and just let loose with your girls. Dancing the night away and not caring about tomorrow. All that mattered was right now.
You could feel arms moving around you, your heart beating to the music, the alcohol working its magic through your system. You were glad to be there with your favorite people, when everything felt like it was falling away, you still had them.
It was truly an amazing night until there were whispers spread across the room. Lando was there, with his new girl. The two walked hand in hand towards the back corner of the club with their group.
What the fuck was he doing here? He could be anywhere in the world, why is he here?
You didn’t know what to do. For the longest time, you’d imagined what you would do if you were to be in the same room as him again. You composed a hundred ways to tell him the reasons why you could’ve played for keeps, all of which would sit collecting dust, rotting in your house.
You watched as they settled into the rhythm of the club, when Lando looked straight at you. He looked different. He looked lighter.
Your friends caught this moment and immediately grabbed you and tried to get you to ignore them. They wanted you to show Lando that you’re better off without him, that you’re okay. So you tried. You tried to keep dancing, to keep your heavy feet moving, to act as if your heart wasn’t being dragged through you.
You needed a minute. Telling one of your friends you were going to the restroom, you pushed through the crowd. Squeezing through a mess of entangled, sweaty bodies. You kept pushing until you found yourself on a balcony, trying to catch your breath. You moved to a more secluded spot so you could try and recuperate.
Resting your arms on the railings, you lowered your head to try and figure out what to do. Did you want to confront him, ask for closure? Or did you just want to let it go and try to be free?
You were caught up in your head when you heard someone clearing their throat somewhere behind you. Looking up, you were met with those hazel green eyes that you had fallen for all those months ago.
“Hey,” Lando started “didn’t know you were here. Small world, eh?”
“Yeah. Crazy.”
“Come on. Why you being short with me?”
“Nothing. So, uh. Who’s the girl?”
“Oh, yeah. Hannah is my girlfriend. She’s pretty great.”
“Good for you. I’m glad you found someone who can love you the way you deserve. We all need someone to hold and now you found your person.” “Thanks. She helps me a lot and she knows how it feels to be alone in the rain. I guess I just needed someone to stay.” he shrugged, smiling at you. He wasn’t trying to be malicious, he was just happy that he’d found his love.
I stayed.
“She seems great. I’m happy for you.”
Please, keep me close.
“Yeah. You’ll find someone too. I’m sure you will.” Couldn’t you love me most?
“Yeah. Sure.”
The two of you stood there for a moment, savoring the silence for different reasons. You knew this was gonna be the end of your story with him. This was going to be the last time you would see him. He thought it was great that everything could remain civil.
“Well, I gotta go back in.” he said, pointing behind him towards the dance floor, “I’ll see you around. Take care.”
“You too!” you shouted back before he disappeared into the blinking lights and mess of music.
At the end of the day, you’re hopeless. He found someone better. He found someone to love. Someone to love him.
So here you sit in the bedroom of your apartment, just missing him and wishing things were different. And you can wish all that you want, but it won’t bring you two together. No matter the things he said or did, you still loved him.
After all this time, you would still bend back to him if he left the door open. All he had to do was say the words, and you’d play again. But who were you to ask for more? You were just a little chapter in his story while he was more to you.
If he needed someone, he could’ve picked you. You would’ve given him everything. All he had to do was ask. And you know that can’t solve everything. You just wish he chose you. For once, you wish you had been chosen. You wish he had chosen to love you. You wish he chose you even if it was just to toy with you for longer.
You still can’t hate him. You honestly wish the best for him. You want him to be happy, even if it means it’s not with you. You want him to have the life he’s dreamed of, with the walls of his house painted blue, red and pink. You hope he gets to go to the city his favorite artist was born in and have a drink at the bar they used to perform at. You hope he’s okay.
You now know, you’re just not that girl. It was your own fault for not being good enough. She won him, the girl with the gold hair. That’s the girl he chose. So one day, when he walks down the aisle to complete his great love story, you hope he remembers that you’re glad to see him win. You can’t claim to be on the side of love if you can’t even support it in someone you love. It’s not fair to him.
Your birthday falls on the 29th night of December and you stand in the middle of your kitchen surrounded by your family who say they love you. A birthday cake sits in front of you, coffee flavored, a flavor you never liked. Everyone sings you a happy birthday as you stand there, not letting the tears fall from your face. No one can see the ache in your heart and the way it feels like it’s being dragged down your body. So you just smile.
You close your eyes to make a wish, but no wish appears as you blow out the candles, just the thought ‘Only three more days left living in a year where you loved me. Only a few more days left in a year where I've allowed myself to love you knowing you don’t’.
Wishing only wounds the heart, after all.

TW: some arachnophobia near the end
Look, I don't know what else to tell you, I've studied it; all manner of glyphs, of languages, of cant & song, all sorts of dialects & accents, none of them can really solve our problems, much less yours or mine. Magic has its place, & it's outside of my house. I have a knight friend who recently got that new Joffrey of the Forest special, that enchanted jar filled with a book or two's worth of scrolls that give the power to reach out into the Great Ether & pluck out answers & ideas in response to anything you might say... Alicia I think they were calling it... and, call me crazy, but I don't really need a jar that's always listening to me, even if can keep track of time with slightly less effort than a hourglass or sundial. And moreover, half the time it doesn't even do what that snake oil salesman says it should: I could ask it something like "Are onions lethal to my dear Blueborb familiar Bocifer?" and it would take a few seconds, shine with a familiar blue flame to tell you it was working through its manuscript of scrolls, and tell you in that eerie, uncanny, seething screech "Sorry, I don't know." And it is always listening, that's how it knows when it is being called, how it can tell to start running through its manuscript. Sets me on edge. All for the sake of a little more gold in the vault of an aristocrat.
What really irks me & shocks me to the core though is how seemingly okay with everything everyone seems to be... I mean, I get it. It's hard to be appropriately mad, hard to feel appropriately mad, for so long, so consistently, at a so so many things. There was all this hubbub about the new king, and, first of all, screw that guy, but second of all, its just really not my field; that was always something for ambassadors & chancellors & paladins & all those religious & political types. My thing is magic, not really the same thing. I can say that with the king's fetid approval of that Reptole - at least, I suspect he's a Reptole, a lizard guy, only thing to explain all the problems he's got pretending to be human - but that Reptole whose claim to fame is a name, we are definitely not headed in a great direction, at least not one that gives me a whole lot of hope.
I mean, that Reptole's whole thing was that new enchanted horseless carriage which he claimed was sword-proof, bite-proof, slash-proof & claw-proof & even fang-proof; that new carriage which acted as part guillotine if you interacted with it's storage incorrectly, which is to say at all; that new carriage which, after only a few days of use, would begin sparkling & throwing glitter everywhere indicating that one of the spell scrolls had deteriorated too quickly; that new carriage which is a nightmare as a pilot, due to his brainless decision for the sake of a little more gold that all spell control macros - you know, the ones that help you drive the thing - would operate via spell, rather than artifice, via magic rather than instant-feedback woodwork, thus ensuring panicked pilots have no idea how to do what they need to do in emergency situations; that new carriage - which I heard from other wizards - explodes in a great fireball comparable to those of dragons if you leave it along for too long; that new carriage which - speaking of dragons - would cost naught but a dragon's hoard just to earn the privilege of seeing the inside of, to earn the privilege of all it's faults. That same Reptole also spent a hoard himself getting ahold of that carrier pigeon network, because he didn't like that people said mean things to him sometimes, and in spending said hoard, made what I would charitably call... unusual decisions, immediately ensuring that the handful of people who previously earned money off of it or gave money to it would stop using it as quickly as possible. I mean it feels like common knowledge that he's earned nothing in his life, & sits upon a throne of lies, cheats, & theft, and, from my place as wizard, he clearly has absolutely no idea what he's actually talking about. And he gets to be buddies with the new king. For the sake of a little more gold. Fun.
On the subject of message transits & the webs these spiders weave to connect us flies, there's the now long dead Vineyard delivery system, which I'm sure many of us still mourn due to its then-novel approach to literal bite-size information transit, where you could just visit your local vineyard and just pick out grapes, hops, blueberries, of all different flavors, of all different messengers, of all different creeds. It sucks that everyone saw how popular that system was & decided to attempt to make their own versions for the sake of a little more gold, all of which have already spoiled since their planting, and because we craved & still crave the original flavor so badly, I feel like maybe we didn't realize how drunk the subpar copycats made us.
There's the Facionomicon system made by Markules, which - I know we joked when he may have actually gone to the dungeons for his wrongdoing that he may infact be a Reptole in disguise... that's neither here nor there - which he original wrote just to get his hands on wenches. There's the Scribo Instantis system of sigils which got popular directly after the original Vineyard developers stopped growing their vineyards. There's the aforementioned carrier pigeon system. There's the Vestri broadcasting sigils that had its start... jeez, was it really 18 years ago?... those sigils which nowadays are mostly just used as a mechanism for Mister the Minotaur's plays, which are really kinda all the same business-disguised-as-charity thing now. And... I'm digressing, the point that I wanted to make was because of all these new innovations in magic, so many people seem to either assume magic can solve all of our problems or realize that in many ways magic is the cause of all our problems. I don't think I should really weigh in on that, again, I don't think it's my department, I'd just as soon leave it to the artificers & astrologists & diviners. I can say that because of what magic has done, everyone nowadays is constantly struggling with this inner question of what a problem really is, what solutions could solve it without introducing so many more, & for me personally, I often wonder if there's a way out of this mess that some of us have made for the rest of us.
And geez, don't even get me started on the Self-Actualizing Glyphs that seem to be EVERYWHERE now. I hate them. I hate them so so much. I look around and listen to the whistles of the pigeons & to the calamitous & raucous whispers from the Vestri sigils, & to clamours elsewhere, and it seems I am far from alone, that almost no-one actually likes their incessant & nebulous omnipresence. Speaking as someone who knows magic & also has eyes, the Animate Paintbrush SAGs are ugly. Ugly, ugly, ugly. I've seen insides of a troll more appealing. I've seen dragon mouths & giant spider webs & vicious hornets nests & beehives prettier. And I can't even explain it; I make the mistake of viewing a Vestri broadcast comedy act on the Animate Paintbrush SAGs that pop up within the pages of the Facionomicon, and there's a visceral part of me, a beast or spider which crawls along my spine & drinks from it, which massages my brain with the discomfort of a spoiled fruit, which assaults my eyes with the gentle, violent touch of a Gelatinous Mass. Ugh. Ugly as sin. And then you hear the comedy act explain that in response to the depictions within the Facionomicon, there seem to be hundreds of people who just... accept it... and it's probable that these people are simply simulacra, Prometheons, animated only by more Self-Actualizing Glyphs, all resulting in a section of the world where no-one speaks to no-one. All these things, and yet continuously you see new posters for the newest pocketbook, and they say "ooo look at us, we have a SAG now! buy our stuff!" and I have to ask why. Why, why, why, why, why? There's entire acts in the Vestri sigils that people put effort into not bothering to make, using SAGs the entire way through their act, forgetting that soul & heart & spirit is where the real magic is.
Everywhere I go nowadays, it just... it seems my beard has grown an inch longer, my hair a bit whiter, my hands a bit more calloused, my sight just a bit worse... & everything, everyone, everywhere, is demanding not a slice, but the entire pie of what little time I may have left on this world... and... I decide put all this time & effort into the practice of magic. I've seen it contorted into mechanized horrors one could only dream of, or see in nightmares, I suppose. It seems that a small handful of people with a dragon's hoard or two from their grandfather's grandfathers have decided that they're going to make everyone else miserable for the sake of a little more gold, as has always been the case, and... in all this turmoil & advancement, I think maybe they forgot that real magic demands personal sacrifice; every time you choose to make magic happen, you lose a bit of yourself to bring it into being, and... that very act makes that part of you immortal. Empires rise & turn to ruin, but the simplest of creations, the smallest artifice of woodwork, the most minute weaves of story can last forever with just a little bit of heart, a little bit of soul. Even if your memory fades, even if no-one knows who you were, even if no-one ever gets to grasp the flecks of dust that once surrounded your being, real magic lasts forever.
Wizards have as much faith in magic as software designers have in software - none at all. A wizard is explaining to the rest of the party why they won't use magic to solve all their problems.

pure smut tbh, bully!ellie x reader
tw: bully!ellie, sweet!reader, sadistic notes, maschistic notes, and maybe a few more idk lol
Ellie hated you, she couldn’t put her finger on why, though. Maybe it was the stupid bows in your effortlessly curly hair, the way those pretty long lashes would bat up at her when she slammed you into a locker, or maybe… maybe it was the fact that you just had to be so fucking sweet to everyone, sweet as can be.
She bit harder on the wood of her No.2 pencil, her eyes boring a hole into the back of your head where that stupid fucking pink bow was sitting, her mind not even attempting to listen to whatever the professor was saying. Her mind was still reeling from she had witnessed earlier, you and that stupid boy flirting near the water fountains, or at least that’s what it looked like.
“Class is dismissed,” the professor’s dull voice echoed throughout the classroom.
You quickly collected your things and stuffed it into your backpack, your mind focused on getting out of there as soon as possible, before you-know-who corners you and escaping into the safety of your room.
You were so, so close to sweet freedom when she-who-must-not-be-named swooped in front of you, grabbing you by the collar like a mama lion would carry her baby cub but this time, she was the lion and you were the poor gazelle with your neck in her mouth.
“Hey Ellie,” you nervously laugh and tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear, mouth running dry as her piercing green eyes rake over you.
You had no clue why she hated you so much. You were a complete sweetheart to everyone, never even accidentally stepped on someone’s toe when making your way through the crowded seats of your lecture halls and yet, this girl, hated your guts.
“Yeah, hey,” her eyes narrowed at your outfit, she clearly had a distaste for the frills, lace, and pink, “Need a favour.”
You knew that a favour from Ellie wasn’t a favour at all, it was and order, “Okay, what is it?”
She scoffed, she couldn’t believe how easy this was, “Come over to my dorm, room 328, Saint Cal Hall, need help with classowork.”
She nodded at you and left the classroom. Ellie smiled as she made her way to her next class, how could you be so fucking sweet to her, your bully? She shook her head.
‧˚₊•┈┈┈┈୨୧┈┈┈┈•‧₊˚⊹
Ellie’s dorm was clean.. surprisingly. Maybe you stereotyped her a bit too hard.. you had assumed that all jocks were assholes who left their socks strewn all over and waited for the weekends for their moms or girlfriends to clean up their dorms.
Studying went well.. until..
“Why were you talking with that frat boy,” she crossed her arms and leaned into the chair of her desk.
You racked your brain for a frat boy… frat boy… “Oh! Liam? I was just giving him some advice on Professor Edwards class since I took it last semester,” you truthfully admit.
“That so?” she scoffed, not buying it.
“Mhm,” you hum out, your body tensing under her gaze.. you couldn’t deny it, Ellie was objectively attractive, hell, she was hot. The way her hair was messy but in an effortlessly cool way, her piercing gaze that never seemed to falter, the way she was so close, you could count the freckles on her face, the way—.
“So you couldn’t see the way he was looking at you? He was obviously eye-fucking you,” she scoffs and eyes you up and down, “You can’t even blame him when you’re wearing a skirt that short.”
Your cheeks flushed red and tears began to prick the corners of your eyes, you should be used to the bullying by now, right? But you weren’t, if anything you had gotten more and more sensitive.. and Ellie noticed that.
“I don’t need this,” you mutter and make your way to the door.
“Aw, you crying?” she laughed dryly and pushed herself off the chair, circling you like a vulture, “Did that hurt your feelings? God, grow up.”
You wiped your tears with your sleeve and sniffle, “I’m not crying.”
The way your lashes glistened with tears stirred something deep within Ellie, “God, you’re too sweet.”
You cocked your head in confusion…. ‘too sweet?’
“What do you mean by that?” you wipe another tear away.
“You really wanna know what I mean?” she took a step closer to your front, her pale hand wiping away your fat teardrops.
You weren’t sure how to answer but then you hesitantly nod.
Within one quick motion, Ellie looks the door and with her other hand, pulls you in by your neck, hungrily kissing you, a small groan escaping her pretty lips.
You were confused, this girl who has bullied you since Freshman year is now kissing you, causing your knees to buckle as you wrap your arms around her to hold yourself up.
“You’re so fucking annoying,” she growled out and pushed you up against her bed, her hands lifting you up onto it while she nipped at your neck, “Too fucking sweet for your own good,” she muttered against your neck.
Right now, all Ellie could think of was you… the way you always smiled at your fellow classmates, the way you didn’t notice the fluttering touches that the boys in the class would leave on you. In her own sadistic way, this was almost a way to teach you a lesson, to teach you that not everyone should be treated in such a sweet manner, that not anybody can be trusted.. if it meant protecting you, she was willing to play the big bad wolf.
She roughly pulled up your skirt and moved the thin fabric of your panties to the side, her fingers grazing against your folds, “You’re so fucking wet,” she laughs cruelly, “You really getting off on this?”
Your cheeks flared red, “N-No.”
“Liar,” she laughed and pushed two fingers in, earning a sharp gasp from you. Even in this case, she was as cruel as ever.
“E-Ellie,” you whimper and move your hips so she could reach deeper.
She turned her head to not-so-subtly sniff your strawberry scented hair, groaning at the sweet smell. Everything about you is so sweet, she angled her hand in a way that would make her two fingers move further into your sweet pussy, her fingers pushing up against that sweet spot deep within you, “What? Feelin’ good?”
You eagerly nod, you were already so close, you were clenching so hard around her, “I-I’m gonna—.”
She rolled her eyes, “Already? Don’t you fucking dare, you’ll cum when I tell you to.”
She was being so mean and both of you knew it but you couldn’t deny that you didn’t like it.
Ellie knew she had to teach you a lesson like, come on. You came all the way across campus to her dorm to tutor her? To tutor your fucking bully? Get real, you were too fucking naive for your own good and like that saint she is, Ellie decided to teach you a very much needed lesson.
She moved her fingers faster, rougher, causing your eyes to flutter shut. Your hands desperately balled the sheets up into your fist, desperately trying to find anything to keep you grounded. You were so close, you were going to—.
Just as you were about to be pushed over the edge, she pulled her fingers out, they were slick and wet, “You’re such a pathetic girl,” she laughs and licks her fingers clean, “but you taste so sweet.”
“Get on all fours,” she said, roughly turning you over and watching as you get up.
You heard faint rusting and a drawer opening, you glanced back to see Ellie with a strap on tied around her.
She climbed onto the mattress and pushes you down, holding your hands against the mattress so that your face was flat against the bed as she rammed the strap into you.
You let out a loud cry at the harsh thrusts, tears pricking your eyes as your eyes rolled back.
“Gotta stop being so fucking sweet,” Ellie groans, emphasizing each word with a sharp thrust, her hand roughly circling your aching clit while the other pushed your head deeper into the mattress.
All you could do was cry out ‘I’m sorry’ and ‘won’t do it again’ over and over.
She growled at your pathetic babbling, “You’re so fucking weak.”
You whimpered, you never really cared for how harsh she could be but… it was a completely different story if it was in bed.
“You like how mean I am, baby?” she laughed as she felt you clench around the strap.
You nod, too fucked out to care about what you just admitted.
“Yeah?” she whispered against your neck, placing a soft kiss on the back of it.
“Y-yeah,” you whimper.
“You like being fucked by your bully?” she laughed and went harder, bullying the strap deeper inside you.
You couldn’t hold it in anymore, your vision turned white as you fell apart on the strap, your body shaking from the intensity of your orgasm.
As your brain came out of that fuzzy bliss, you heard Ellie laughing softly, “You’re way too sweet.”

Roommate!Gojo who sends you off on your date with a pang of jealousy ripping its way through his body. Why couldn’t you be dressing up like that to spend the night with him. He knew you were excited, this was the most you’d dressed up in a long time, your hair sitting do perfect after the hours he watched you spend on it. The outfit you chose showing your figure in a way that had him clenching a fist, trying not to reach out and let his fingers dance over your exposed skin. That intoxicating perfume filling his nose as he stood so close, wishing you a good night before the door finally shut, and the only trace left behind was the small waves of your sweet scent still lingering in the air
Roommate!Gojo who is confused when he hears your keys in the door just 2 hours later, he wasnt even expecting you back tonight.
Roommate!Gojo rushing to your side when he sees your pretty face puffed up with tears, concern lacing his tone. Utter joy racing through him in reality, but he was still sad to see you so upset
Roommate!Gojo who listened to youn blubber and rant about how this was your first date in a long time and how you just wanted a nice night. He listened to you rant about how much an asshole the guy was all while stoking your hair and kissing your head as you sat wrapped up in his arms
Roommate!Gojo who almost died then and there when he heard you complain how men were shit and you “just wanted to get laid”
“that might be something I can help with gorgeous” he whispered before anything could stop him, His reaction basically automatic
Roommate!Gojo who had your crying for a nothing reason a few moment later as he was burying himself between heaven you thighs. Hot tears streamed down your face as the mans thick tongue worked his way through your folds, playing with your little bundle of nerves. Small whimpers leaving his throat as your taste made him rock hard. His hands gripping your thighs, keeping them spread wide for him so he could see you in all your glory “Pretty girl, if you were needing to cum all you had to do was ask me” his syrupy voice rang out in your fucked out head in between his vulgar licks of your dripping cunt “That asshole didnt deserve to see you so pretty” he whispered into your cunt. “I had half a mind to drag you back in a fuck you against the door seeing you dressed like that”
His words rippling over your, breaking you more and more. You had no choice but to listen to him as he teased and taunted you.
You couldn’t even bother yourself to respond, not after his gingers slid into your cunt so easily, the squelch of your wetness echoing in the room.
Roommate!Gojo who couldn’t wait to get his throbbing cock inside that needy little pussy of yours. He’d thought of this moment for months and he wasn’t quite sure how it was actually happening.
Roommate!Gojo who had you naked and spread over his bed right now, looking at your fucked out features. Your skin laced with sweat, your hair still beautifully framing face, those tits hed spent so many night imagining while he fucked his fist now open for him to see, all marked from his touch. That beautiful cunt of yours dripping from the orgasms he had already pulled out of it, and yet you were still begging him for more
“please Satoru, I need you” you whined so sweetly beneath him and he teased his red leaking tip through your folds, coating himself I your slick. He soothed you, kissing your head gently “It’s okay pretty girl, ill give you whatever you need” he promised before lining himself up with your fluttering entrance and sinking himself deep inside.
The moan that left him was sinful as he bottomed out inside of you, you felt amazing wrapped around his cock, even better then he imagined.
Roommate!Gojo who couldn’t hold himself back for long, soon he was pistoning himself in and out of your sopping pussy, moaning incoherently abut how good you felt. You were more then happy to lay there and take every inch, every thrust he was giving you. Your mind so far gone you couldn’t do much more then whimper and moan and every move he made, his thick cock hitting that delicious part of your velvety walls with every stroke. Your eyes rolling back as your nails dragged red lines down his back
“There she is, theres my pretty girl” “cant believe all you needed was a good fucking sweetheart, all you had to do was ask” “been thinking about this tight little pussy for ages” “come on baby, take it, this is what you where begging for” “such a good girl for me, taking it so well” “awh, you like this don’t you? filthy girl”
Roommate!Gojo who was a stuttering mess, his head falling into your shoulders as his hips never stopped their brutal pace, his balls slapping against you with each thrust. It wasnt long before he had you cumming again that night. Your wall squeezing him tight as you flooded his perfect skin with you juices. You could do nothing but moan his name, so sweetly in his ear that his orgasm hit him as well. His balls tightening as he fucked him cum deep into you. His pushing himself deeper with each finishing thrust. A deep groan coming from his chest as his hips faultered and finally stopped. Both of you lying there, panting.
“next time you need a good fuck princess, let me know” he whispered into you ear
You wouldve hit the smug bastard if you werent so sure that you would be taking him up on his offer again the next day

Too late for the poll but I'm studying the homewings - what is the archaelogical and palaeontological record of how these skydogs came to be domesticated? Where are the proto-homewings who only just started to diverge from whatever the common ancestor with stormchasers was, and how did it happen?
Was it a case of a couple individuals with injured wings who couldn't keep up, and the flock is like come ON Dave we are MIGRATING it's HURRICANE SEASON
But then they all kinda shamble upon some early modern humans with like their campfire and they want to LEAVE
but dave-the-dragon is very sore and very tired and that fire is actually lovely
dave-the-dragon is lulled by the warmth the other dragons who are milling around see d-t-d being calm and are like well then
we do not like this but we are not Spooked there is no Spook here
and one of the early modern humans are like huh? large sky dog is injured. we know how to deal with injury. apply Leaf to Dog
and like dave-the-dragon is getting cared for and fed and the flock kinda sorta mills along
and a few months later dave is mostly skyworthy again he's been acclimated to these long apes and the flock is returning for another storm in the other direction, and return for their flockmate
and NOW, being flock animals, stormwings are very much inclined to Read the Proto-Room, and Dave is right over there getting scratchies by a young humanthing who's not yet been caught scratching the sky cheetah, and off they all go again, Dave in tow
And perhaps next season there's one of them got caught by a bolt of lightning, and perhaps there's another that's about to whelp and they remember Dave-the-Dragon's weird run-in with the humans, and so they leave a few of their members behind. They make sure of course to to Watch and Wait for a while, see how the weird upstart monkeys are reacting - they do eat meat, after all, and it wouldn't do to leave their most vulnerable alone with a little bow on.
But Dave seems okay with it, and well he should know, and so this one flock has a wee tradition.
And flocks aren't these static things, members die and come and leave, and eventually you have a *few* flocks who have that one member who knows that sometimes when one of you needs to rest, the weird long apes will help anything so long as they can pat it on the head.
... Then fast-forward fifty thousand years and your descendants are a fraction of your size, get taken out flying on a lead and harness, and get fed thrice a day from tins of "Meaty Bits - Electric Ozone Beef."
