Author's note: I don't know what this is or what it will be, but it's inspired by @bettyfrommars' biker!Steve, a lot of The Bikeriders + The Place Beyond the Pines in this first chapter, a little ghostrider!Steve to come, a little of me trying my best to dissociate with the realities of life

Chapter One
The smell of burnt sugar from the candy floss carts is overpowered by the petrol stinging your nose when you enter the tent. The chatter of the crowd mostly drowned out by the buzz of the motorbikes as they zip around, flicking up dirt. There’s a warm breeze that tickles the hem of your dress, sweat clinging to the back of your thighs.
You’re momentarily stuck in a trance watching them go back and forth when you feel a pinch on your arm. Your friend nudging you and speaking in your ear to draw your attention.
That’s him.
He looks much the same as the others in his white jumpsuit, but you can’t deny there’s a different aura that follows him.
One that’s been picked up by most the girls in town in the short time the carnival tent has been pitched.
And now you can’t seem to draw your attention elsewhere as he parades on one wheel to the cheers of the crowd. Making your breath catch in your chest every time he was in the air, falling back down to the ground. At every moment left up to fate and physics as he swoops in behind his fellow stunt riders in the gaudily named globe of death. And again, when the helmet finally came off, his brunette locks set free and only slightly dampened with sweat – a coy smile and wave to the crowd.
You’d fallen in love with strangers before of course. Passionate fantasies that lasted just as long as their presence in town. Settling with the dust left in their wake, another moment of escapism to keep you going. But unlike the others, he lingered.
Steve ‘hot spur’ Harrington
And when he started coming into the diner every morning for a cup of black coffee and some bacon with a side of toast you didn’t think much of it. Even less so when you noticed that he’d hardly say a word to you but was all smiles and charming lines to the other waitresses. Even if you’d get a tightness in your chest every time you’d hear the engine of his bike as he pulled up – it didn’t matter.
He was just another fantasy soon to be gone.
That was until he sat up, catching your attention as he uncrossed his legs when you’d left the diner one night, realising he must’ve been leaning on his bike for a while. Your eyes following the cigarette he drops next to the two that already lay discarded by his worn boots, before they travel back up to find his already watching you.
“I was uh,” he cleared his throat of the rasp left by smoke, “I was wonderin’ if you wanted to go for a ride?”
“Excuse me?” Of course you thought you hadn’t heard him right. That he’d mistaken you for someone else. The light in the car park barely cast on orange glow on the both of you. But then, again.
“You wanna go for a ride?”
“You don’t know me.” Your eyebrows pinch, head moving in disbelief.
“Sure I do.” Then he flashes you a smile, shyer than the one he’d been giving the prettier waitresses. “You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.”
“I-I don’t-“
“The one that I’ve been trying all week to pluck up the courage to ask. So?” His leg starts to bounce, his torso leaning forward while he still remains perched on the side of his bike.
You shrug, still not sure where this conversation was coming from. “So?”
“You wanna go for a ride?”
You shake your head, “No.”
“Oh.” Steve finally breaks eye contact, looking down as he kicks at the gravel. “Right, yeah.” His hand runs through his hair.
“I’ve never been on one.”
His head snaps back up.
You gesture to where he’s seated. “First time with a stranger seems like a terrible decision.”
He smiles again, more assured, teeth on display. “You seen me ride?”
You nod.
“Then you know you ain’t got nothin’ to worry about.”
“It’s reckless.”
He laughs, eyes darting as he notices your body move slightly closer. “It’s practice. And it’s confidence. Two things you need to be good. ‘M not gonna let anything happen to you.”
“Why me?”
Steve stands up, bridging the gap between you in a couple of steps. “Already told you.” Your head moves back to accommodate his closeness.
“You think I’m beautiful, right. How many girls you said that to since you got here?”
“You seen me with another girl?”
“No.”
“Then I think you just answered your own question.”
You end up in a slight stare off. The smile on his face might’ve pissed you off if it wasn’t so damn charming.
And when you feel his hand pull your arm tighter across his torso, the cotton of his white T-shirt against your skin grounding you as your heart beats rapidly between you, the wind roaring in your ears, you can’t help the smile that finally creeps up on you. Steve squeezes your arm again when he feels it pressed up against his back.
And that’s how one of your fantasies turned real; how you met the love that would burn you to the ground.

vehicle headcanons bc im like. so bored
Lenore 100% rides a motorcycle, most likely a Harley or a Triumph. She enjoys a good street race, but only on remote roads that have been marked off and never spontaneously or on high ways. She used to do stunts with dirt bikes and atv's before her injury, but it plays hell with her hip now, so she just rides standard. She doesn't drive much, but if she had to get a car, it'd be a classic muscle car like a Firebird. She's an offensive driver insofar as she's more than willing to take a fender bender to prove a point and she will chase a bitch down if they run. Only if it's just her in the car, though. She mostly drives one-handed and rests her right hand on the console (or Annabel's thigh). She does enjoy cruising in a car but not as much as feeling Annabel hug her from behind on a bike
Annabel's ride would be Lenore a Cadillac, Porsche, and an Audi. She switches them out as the occasion calls for it. Her father bought all three. She trades them in for the lastest models every five years or earlier bc she couldn't be caught dead in a model that's gone out of style. People assume she likes being chauffeured around, but being in a vehicle she has no direct control of gives her hives, so 9 times out 10, she's going to be the one driving. The only people she trusts on the wheel are Prospero and Lenore. Very defensive driver bc she's always thinking 20 steps ahead and can smell bullshit from a mile away. She tells people she prefers convertibles for the visibility, but she really just likes watching Lenore hop over the door into the passenger seat.
Ada would sell her soul for a bright pink Porsche. Unfortunately, a brand new one is def out of her price range, and every time she buys a used one that she can afford, it craps out in like five months or so. She's forced to settle on a lightest burgundy Camry she can find at some point and she's bitching about it to everyone that can hear. She is the most godawful driver you will ever see. Road rage like no other. For years, she thought turn signals were a useless formality until a horrified Prospero told her otherwise. The fact that she has a license is the eighth wonder of the world (her tester was severely hungover). She keeps subtly asking to borrow Annabel's Porsche, but Anna just smiles and changes the subject.
Pluto has a crappy little Beetle that he stole from his dad, and to separate it from him would be to cut his heart out with a rusty butter knife. He's also a defensive driver but not in the same way Anna is. He's just very hyperaware of everything, which is great for snap reactions but can cause him to overreact sometimes. Does not play music or take his eyes off the road ever bc he's scared of getting distracted. Prefers taking mainroads bc high way speeds makes him nervous. He loves his car, but he'll typically just take the bus for short distances. The only time he's even marginally relaxed while driving is when his friends are with him, especially Eulalie.
Montessori has a Mustang, and he drives it like an asshole. I'm talking tailgating, cutting, muffler delete, zero turn signal whatsoever, always going at least twenty over, racing randoms on the highway etc etc. Rarely gets road rage, but causes it on a daily basis. One of his favorite plays is talking someone into a race, losing on purpose, betting money on a second race, and smoking their ass with his turbocharger. Yes, his car is kitted with every mod known to man, and yes, it does look like a douchebag owns it. He keeps trying to goad Lenore into a race, and she keeps rejecting him bc 1. She knows his schemes, and 2. She's not entirely convinced he won't try to run her over.
Eulalie prefers not to drive and doesn't own a car. It took forever to get her license bc she's so easily distracted that she's at risk of drifting into other lanes and/or hitting something. She did manage to get it eventually, but having to be constantly vigilant stresses her out, so she just bikes/skates (skateboarder Eulalie real) or uses public transit or grabs a ride from a friend. Despite everything, she's actually a very good and courteous driver when she's paying attention. She stops for pedestrians, bikers, ducks on the road, and so on. Her driving style is very smooth and steady in a way that could lull you to sleep. Until she has to slam the breaks to avoid sailing into oncoming traffic. She thinks it'd be really cool to own a Hearse with a black/purple color scheme, though. She shares a bus pass with Pluto
(Pt.2 cuz this got too long)

Stunt gone wrong
Summary: Yeonjun´s girlfriend y/n helps out as a stunt double, but the stunt goes wrong and she ends up with a semi-serious injury.
Genre: angst, fluff(?)
Pairing: bf!Yeonjun x fem!reader
Word Count: 889
Warnings: Injuries, mentions of blood, hospital
[notice: it´s my first time writing for TXT and my brain was somewhat foggy and didn't want to cooperate properly, but I still hope you all will like it!]
Y/n was asked to jump in as Beomgyu´s stunt double for his fall off the bike in the MV for Loser=Lover. She didn't mind, after all, it's not that hard to safely fall from a moving bike. Yeonjun didn't really like it, but he didn't stop her, he's supportive of his girlfriend and her hobby, which turned into a part time job for TXT and sometimes for their big brothers BTS. Being a background dancer, who also has experience in being a stunt double, y/n often helps out when they need someone and her looking similar to Beomgyu at this time, she was perfect for this stunt.
However, this day felt off somehow. The bike was wobbly underneath her, but y/n didn't mention it, she didn't want the shooting to be delayed because of her. So, she gritted her teeth and thankfully, the first shoot made it into the video. When she fell, her head hit the street where they were filming a bit harder than anticipated, but y/n shrugged it off, so no one really paid attention to her through the rest of the shooting.
That is, until Yeonjun noticed his girlfriend being quite pale and just sitting leaned against one of the equipment boxes. In one of his breaks, he walked over with a concerned look on his face, crouching down next to her.
“Hey, y/nnie, you okay?” He asks quietly, head tilted just a bit as he tried to check her for any signs of injuries or anything, but he couldn't make out anything, since her head was lowered and the hood of her sweater was up.
“Yeah, it's just a scratch, don't worry Yeonjun,” she whispered, but winced lightly when she moved her head. This didn't go unnoticed by Yeonjun and when he reached out to cup her cheek gently, he froze in place. Her cheek felt slightly scraped and there was something wet and warm.
Carefully, he removed her hood and a gasp escaped him. She was bleeding, along the side of her face, her skin was scraped open and her temple seemed to have hit the asphalt a little too hard.
“Shit, fuck. Y/n, this is not just a scratch!” He hissed out, head poking up to look around and when he spotted Soobin close by, he yelled for his friend. “Soobin! Get me that first aid kit and call an ambulance, right now!”
Soobin did as told and he did it quickly, running over to where Yeonjun and y/n were positioned, his jaw dropping when he saw her face. “Shit- here, Beomgyu is calling the ambulance now. Can I do anything else?”
“I don't kn- hey, hey y/nnie, baby, stay with me-” Yeonjun’s voice got panicky when he noticed y/n drifting off and tilting aside, his eyes widened in panic. Soobin quickly reacted and sat down next to her to steady her against himself while Yeonjun talked to her.
“Hey, remember what you told me earlier, y/nnie? You wanna tell Soobin too?” He asked, fumbling with the first aid kid, his hands trembling in panic. Soobin took the pack from Yeonjun and opened it, hoping that the ambulance would arrive quickly. Beomgyu soon came over too, carrying a bottle of water. “Here. How's she doing?” He asked quietly while Yeonjun applied a bandage around her head to stop the bleeding a bit at least.
“Yeo-…’m so sleepy…” Y/n’s voice was mostly a slurred whisper, Yeonjun looking helplessly at his girlfriend and then at his two friends. Even though he's the oldest of them, he doesn't know what to do right now.
“You can sleep in a bit, okay? Tell me something, y/n. How did you like our outfits today?” It was Soobin’s voice, calm and soothing. He knew that she'd have to stay awake and with a nod towards their oldest, he gestured Beomgyu to help Yeonjun to wash his hand and calm down. “Hmm…like Yeonjun more in…his soft warm sweaters…” she whispered, smiling, but then her head dropped against Soobin's shoulder and he could hear a quiet snore. “No, no you can't sleep, Y/n, c'mon.”
Alerted by those words, Yeonjun spun around to look at his friend and his girlfriend, panicking, his breath hitched in his throat. He just wanted to hurry over, but then Kai already came running, followed by a medic and soon the ambulance stopped right where they were.
Y/n was rushed to the hospital and the five boys followed, neither was allowed to sit in the ambulance with her. It took almost two hours of waiting in the ER, Yeonjun pacing around in the waiting area of the hospital while Soobin tried to calm his hyung.
“She's in room 319, it's on the third floor. Don't worry, she'll be fine, it was nothing life threatening, just a concussion.” The doctor said when he came out as he was stopped by Beomgyu. Kai couldn't hold back a little chuckle when he heard the room number, but soon followed his hyungs to the room. All of them were relieved, when they saw y/n sitting in the hospital bed, smiling at her favorite boys. Yeonjun didn't hold back and ran over, carefully kissing her with a teary laugh, he had been so horribly worried.

WIP Anagram Acrostic Game
I'm afraid my inner pedant prevents me from calling this game an anagram lol. But thank you for the tag @justabigoldnerd
Rules: From your story/WIP, find sentences that start with each letter of the given word. (I was able to find sentences relatively easily by searching for the letter preceded by a space and a period in my doc)
My Word: SOAR Your Word: BOLT (I stuck with a four letter random word but go nuts I guess)
S
Strong hands grab his arm and shoulder, holding on like he can’t decide whether to hold him still or help him.
O
One person he’s never had to worry about was Henry, though, because after his brief stint as a second unit director, Henry graduated to directing the kinds of movies that don’t involve stunts, mostly the kind of gut-wrenching interpersonal dramas the critics fucking love.
A (I purposefully did not go with any of the many sentences that began "Alex" lmao)
As he’s yanking the bike up again, though, his focus is shattered by a loud “Cut!” barked through the mic on his helmet.
R
Regardless, Taylor’s hotness had very little to do with Alex’s decision to do this movie, particularly because they could almost be brothers.
Ok, this is a weird one so def no pressure, but I'll tag a bunch of folks under the cut. Also if this seems like a game you want to jump in on, please do!

another fic! this was commissioned by @yourfriendlyneighborhoodmeme, a long-time follower of my blog <3 if you'd like to commission me, i take [writing comms] and [art comms!]
pairing: yui kimura x reader x thalita lyra word count: 1,375 warnings: mild description of canon-typical violence, usage of they/them for reader summary: One night, after a trial, a discussion with your girls turns a bit serious.
You and Thalita walk towards the campfire, out of the dark, foggy forest and into the warm light. You beam when you notice Yui already sitting there, atop a log, waiting for both of you, pensively poking a stick into the little fire. Thalita calls for her attention, and she smiles and waves when she notices that it’s the two of you.
“Ah, come here, guys! I missed you two so much.” Yui ushers both of you over, and as soon as you two can, you both sit on the dirt near her and the warm fire. “You look like you took a beating. What happened out there tonight?” there was, of course, an undertone of concern; but mostly, Yui seemed proud of you. She always was.
“Nah—” you wave your hand, smiling sheepishly. “Nothing. Nothing that doesn’t happen all the time, anyways. Same old, same old.”
“They are so lying. You should’ve seen them out there!” Thalita playfully shoves your shoulder, grinning. “That killer had us both down, but unfortunately, went for them first. I was terrified, but they told me not to worry…” she nods her head towards you. “I didn’t see that they’d picked up a shard of glass. And neither did the killer. And when they picked them up, they stabbed it into their shoulder and got me back up and we took off!” she grabs your shoulders and rocks you around.
Yui stretches her arm out to tousle your head, the way a proud parent would. “Hell yes! See, I told you knowing that would come in handy.” she crinkles her nose, smiling all big. “I learned it from one of the other girls. I should teach you something else with the lockers.”
“Yui, you’ve always got good tips, but the lockers?” Thalita chuckles.
“No, seriously, it’s—”
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think even this one could pull off a stunt like that with one of those.” Thalita nudges your arm with her elbow.
“Ah, Thali, let’s hear her out,” you bump Thalita’s shoulder with yours.
“Yeah! C’mon, I’ve got all the good tips, remember?” Yui stretches her foot over to Thalita and shakes it around.
“Wait a second! Wait a second—” Thalita snorts, swatting Yui’s sneaker away. “Be quiet for a second!” she waves her hand around a little, and looks around.
You and Yui both exchange a bewildered look before looking back at her, silently wondering what made her do that. She’s quiet, and turns her head back to face you two, eyes flickering between you, like a deer caught in headlights; almost like she’s expecting you two to catch onto whatever she heard or saw without an explanation from her.
You blink at her, and wait for the answer to come to you. You’re not sure it will, but she’s not saying anything. But that’s when you notice it — a subtle wave through her curly hair, and a coolness over your face. A breeze. You couldn’t remember the last time you felt a breeze. You had long thought anything purely natural didn’t exist here, and surely this wind was fabricated, too, but— it was nice. For once, for one shining moment, everything felt real again.
“A breeze…” Yui observes, seeming just as surprised as you are. “Wowww. Really makes me miss being on my bike,” she smiles. “With the wind in my hair, blazing down the streets. The city lights were so beautiful at night.”
“The windy beaches in Brazil,” Thalita adds, folding her arms atop the log and resting her cheek on them. “Ah, I’d give anything to run through the sand with a kite behind me again. The wind in my hair, and Renato laughing so much he topples over…”
You smile warmly. You don’t have anything to add, but hearing your girlfriends reminisce about the good old times really lifts your spirits.
“Maybe one day we can get back there.” Yui suggests, looking at you, then at Thalita. “I mean…there just…has to be some way out of this place, right? We could find it and get everyone out of here. We could all go home.”
Thalita completely lights up. “That would be nice. I want everyone to be able to go home.” her smile is so sweet.
Your heart drops almost as quickly as it had risen. Your stomach twists, both the topic making you feel awful, and the fact that you feel awful about it. It makes them so happy, the idea that everyone could get out of here, that they could be the ones to break the seal, or even that it could be done at all…but it makes you feel sick. You pull your knees up to your chest and scratch the back of your neck, silently hoping they change the subject quickly.
Yui notices the change in your body language. She tilts her head to look at you, and reaches out to grasp your shoulder. “Hey…you okay?” her eyebrows furrow. “You miss your family back home?” she gives you a small, sympathetic smile.
You put your hand over hers. “I actually…don’t have anyone back home.” you admit, raking your eyes over the black dirt. “So I don’t think there’d be a reason for me to leave this place, really. I just—” suddenly, it all spills out, you just can’t stop yourself; “I was all alone before I came here, and I finally found my people and my purpose here, and— and it would be like losing everything I’ve ever had, if I…if I left.”
The girls both look at each other, eyes widening. Neither of them seem entirely sure how to react to your confession— their expressions tell you that what you said was likely the very last thing they expected to come out of your mouth. But it was all the truth. And they knew that, of course.
Every organ in your body descends to the bottom. You totally killed the mood. Maybe you should’ve pretended you had family and friends and a job you loved and hobbies that made you happy back where you came from, so that they would still be happy. You shouldn’t have—
Without a word, Thalita springs forward and pulls you into a bear hug, leaning her head into the crook of your neck. As if on cue, Yui shuffles off the log and wraps her arms around your middle, pressing her cheek against the back of your neck. You knew they both loved you deeply, but these actions still caught you by surprise, somehow. In an instant, you felt overwhelmed by their shared love for you; like suddenly, everything was okay.
“I had no idea,” Yui says softly, nudging her temple against your spine.
“You should’ve said something sooner!” Thalita only half-scolds, notably non-threatening and all concern. “I would’ve invited Renato to hang out with us so much more often. He’s just as much your brother as he is mine.” she says, “he always wishes the three of us could go fly kites together on the beach. Every time he wonders if we’ll ever get to do that again, he asks, can I please take you with us?”
“My girls back home would love you. They’d all want to take you out for a ride the second they met you.” Yui sounds so happy remembering her girls. “But they’d have to wait their turn. Your first ride would have to be with me.”
You smile. Everything feels warm now.
“But, if we ever did get out of here, you know that we’d find you, right?” Yui moves her head to sit on your shoulder, opposite Thalita. “No matter where you were, or where we were, we’d find you.”
“And we’d bring everyone else with us! You’re important to everyone here. Especially us.” Thalita leans in to kiss your cheek. “You wouldn’t have to be alone long. And after that, never again! We’d make sure of it.”
You can’t help but laugh a little, they’re just making you so happy. “Thanks, girls. I love you.”
They both lean in to kiss your cheeks, muttering their own “I love you”s back and holding you tightly. You know exactly how loved you are now, here, in the fire-warmed corner of this dark and awful place.

nobody asked but here are my personal headcanons about Vorona
– Vorona eventually starts vaping, Shizuo is not happy about this (he knows better than anyone that smoking is bad) but who's he to judge? plus he likes the smell – eventually Vorona starts working in film industry as a stunt woman, this was Kasuka's idea
– this led to her and Shizuo barely seeing each other, until one day he offers her moving in together with him which makes it better, they still don't see each other every day, but it's much more often – Vorona is a very good stunt woman due to her physical abilities and combatant skills, but is a horrendous actor (got small role offering once) – Vorona isn't bothered by Shizuo's smoking, almost all men surrounding her from childhood were heavy smokers, including her dad, and it wasn't even good stuff – Vorona made Shizuo have a sparring with her, he barely attacked her directly at the beginning, but started to do so when she successfully dodged all his moves and managed to get him on the ground (using his lack of technique against him), both had fun – She doesn't like dresses or skirts due to them being too revealing during fighting. When she's wearing them, she's challenging herself to fight with her hands and torso only (not fighting is not an option obviously) – Celty eventually warms up to Vorona when she realizes she means no harm, just like Shizuo she's kinda flattered with admiration of her power and also she finds Vorona's way of talking similar to the one she once had – they're bonding over bikes – Tom tried to lure Vorona into manga, but got overwhelmed by her amount of questions about weird stuff from there (like the amount of fanservice and sus stuff). He's still recommending her some stuff from time to time, but now the quality bar is in the skies – Vorona has plenty of knowledge about cooking and even knowing some receipts by heart from books, but isn't this good on practice (mostly she gets frustrated every time recepy says like "50 mins in oven on 180" but it ends up being not enough or way too much) – Erica once dragged Vorona into cosplay and even got her wearing sexy outfit but got disappointed by her inability to smile for a camera – Vorona cuts all ties to her family and it's name, Shizuo was thinking about getting a blessing from her old man, but it never happened – Vorona never had an official name, she wasn't officially registered anywhere in her country, all her documents are fake. After she moved to Japan she decided to stick with her fake passport name for all legal actions – Shizuo never calls Vorona by fake name, even on their wedding, dude pretends he doesn't see it every time some docs need to be filled in
#durararara!!#vorona#shizuo heiwajima#heiwajima shizuo#shirona#shizurona#most of it comes from my fanfiction im working on rest will hopefully appear in fanart someday#content for me only lmao

I don’t know if this was always the plan or if he’s just doing PR filler because other things are on hold or to prove he’s 1000 miles from Louis, but I feel like I’m cringing my way thru every day and every sighting of Harry right now. Like, my face is one of these whenever these oh so organic events happen 🫤😬🙄. And honestly, like, the Lime bike shit is sending me. It’s such a hamfisted and idiotic partnership. I get he’s sledgehammering his way thru promo and stunts for what looks like multiple connections to fashion week, but I’m mostly like, “Harry, you good? Because PR desperation is not looking great on you.”
I guess I don’t really get why it bothers people when he’s just tooling around. It’s such a whatever to me. I agree the Lime thing is bizarre. But, I guess he figured he might as well make some money if he has to be out there. It might all make a lot more sense when we see if he’s got some projects coming up. But I always look at this stuff like it could be so, so much worse. So if all he has to do is ride a bike around or have lunch with TR, then I’m happy to see his face.

Yo girl - Chapter 1 // Hazel Callahan x Reader
Series summary: you are a part of the most popular clique in school, though you don't feel like you fit in well with them and it all goes downhill once you get to know the new girl at your school
A/n: the series is based mostly on the 1989 film "Heathers" and a little bit on the 2010 musical adaptation, reader is based on Veronica Sawyer, some characters might be a bit ooc, I tried my best to minimize that though. This series may contain some things that may disturb some people, I further elaborate in the warnings. Also keep in mind that I'm not native in English so there might be some grammatical errors or typos I didn't notice. Also if you'd like to be tagged when new chapters come out let me know, I'll make a taglist.
Series warnings: depictions of violence, murder, mentions of suicide, bombs, bullying, and sexual harassment. These warnings weren't written in any particular order.
Series summary: you meet Hazel on your way to a college party with Isabel. The party goes more wrong than you could ever imagine, angry frustrated and humiliated what's one more bad decision? So you decide to go to her house in the middle of the night.
Chapter warnings: sexual harassment, puke.
[prologue] [part 2]
Isabel, Brittany, Stella and I were hanging out in my backyard after school, discussing today's events "There's no way they let her stay in this school after what she did today" Isabel told me "I mean I don't think they're going to expel her, I think they're just going to suspend her" Stella replied "Yeah I mean she barely did anything, she just gave them a couple bruises and ruined a pair of pants, or maybe not, I mean can you bleach out urine stains?" I joked "well you seem amused, I thought you gave up on high school relationships" Isabel said "yeah, well maybe not"
We were disturbed by my parents telling Stella her mom came to pick her up. After they all left I decided to go to my room to get ready to the party.
I was now at a 7/11 to get me and Isabel a snack on our way to the party when I saw her there too "omg hi, didn't think I'd see you here" I said "well it's kind of like the only familiar place around for me" she replied "really?" "yeah, I mean every 6 months or so we move, this is really the only thing that stayed the same no matter where I am" hearing that I couldn't help but feel bad for her "must be tough" "you get used to it..." the topic seemed a bit sensitive for her so I decided to change the it "that stunt you pulled in the cafeteria was pretty extreme, don't you think?" I asked her "well the extreme always seems to make an impression, plus I wasn't just going to sit there and take their bullshit" "fair I guess" "so are you getting anything with that?" she asked and pointed to the bag of corn nuts I took "no, but if you're nice I'll let you buy me a slushie" I told her "great, cherry or coke?" "cherry"
We got out of her store and she went to her motorbike "Nice bike" "thanks, it was a gift from my mom, at least I can have that" "yeah, must be tough constantly moving around I guess" "I mean, not everyone's life is perfect, is yours?" she asked "yeah, sure" I chuckled, but was cut off by the honk coming from Isabel's car and by the look on face it didn't seem like she appreciated me hanging out with Hazel "no, my life's not perfect, I don't really like my friends" I told her "me neither" she replied "it's like they're people I work with and our job is being popular and shit" I said "I think it's time you took a break" I bid her goodbye and went back to Isabel.
The party was honestly one of the shittiest experiences of my life, Isabel decided to go hang out with a guy and left me completely on my own and this one college guy who's name I couldn't even be bothered remember just stuck to me. After a while he decided to take me to this room and he was just so insistent on getting me to sleep with him so I just left the room, I was also feeling really sick and I wanted to look for Isabel to tell her to go home but at the same time I couldn't move because it felt like if I did I would throw up all over the place.
She finally saw me and when she came over she said "what the hell do you think you're doing, jake said you were being a real bitch" "Isabel I feel really sick can we go home please?" "what? No, we're not going" I was about to reply but before words could come out of my mouth puke did, and I vomited right on her shoes.
She was so clearly mad as she took me outside, she was just berating me and I was so over it at this point "I got you into a college party and that's how you thank me? by throwing up all over my shoes?!" she yelled and I just answered "lick it up baby lick. it. up" "Oh now you've done it, I want you to know that when the weekend is over monday rolls around and you're back at school you're as good as a corpse"
As I was sitting in my room writing about this in my diary I heard the window open and looked to see out of all people "Hazel?" I asked I swear this day feels more and more like a fever dream "Sorry for coming in through the window, dreadful etiquette I know"

My mom got diagnosed with bipolar recently and last night I went to stay with her. It was a very emotional night for me so you'll probably be seeing a lot of Dwellers content involving the mothers of the cast for a bit. Maternal angst, here we come. More of a personal explanation below
cws; neglect, drinking, abuse, abandonment
We talked about a lot of things; mostly about she had a lot of regrets in raising me how she did and it was the most lucidity she's ever had, that i've ever seen her have in all of my 16 years alive. Her impulses and her stunted mentality are still present but she seems better. I lost faith slowly in my mother since I could remember; she pushed me away, neglected me and I always felt alone in her home during the weeks. I lost all faith in my mother when I was 7, I held such incredible disdain that I still sometimes feel today.
My mother was never a "mother". For years, I was blamed for her messes, her problems and she always found ways to shit talk me to her friends. She abandoned me regularly for random men and even treated me as if I were coemption for the romantic/sexual affections of her adult lovers when I was 9 years old and had begun puberty. I nearly broke my arm once and had laughed at me while taking photos, she did the same when I'd fallen off my bike after she didn't allow me to wear the proper gear my dad bought me.
My mother never cleaned, meaning our house was a mess, our dishes weren't clean and she refused to clean them so I could eat, I ended up doing it myself or trying to learn to live with it. My mom would also waste money; she wouldn't by groceries or anything we actually needed. Instead she spent all our money on clothing and other expensive fashion things. There's a lot of other things too.
I held this disdain since age 7, I bottled everything up until 4 years later, at age 11 and on Christmas, my parents got into a huge argument and I decided I didn't want to go back and forth anymore, I wanted to live full time with my Dad. My dad left and told me to call him if he needed to pick me up. When I tried calling him, my Mom took my phone, threatening me not to leave but I left anyway, taking my phone back and abandoning her.
Now that time is passed and she seems better, I can't allow myself to forgive and forget these things, even now that she's on proper medication, I find it hard to trust her, I don't think I ever will.
I don't think I even love her at all, she's not my mother by anything but blood which makes it hard to write motherly characters like Connie Rogers.
I wish I knew what it was like to have a mother but I don't, I'll have to settle for writing a mother thats better than mine

My ramblings on RE: Death Island
Y'all RE: Death Island opened in PH cinemas today and here are my thoughts on some of the scenes. Leaks have been going around on TW since this morning, so I'm dividing my ramblings into four sections.
WARNING: HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD
Can confirm:
-Definitely Jill's time to shine. Everyone was like..."If there's Jill, there's hope..."
-She even has a big ass plasma rifle scene (probably a tribute to re3r)
-Movie more or less confirms that Jill has met Leon and Claire before. Their first scenes with Jill were like "hey, how's it going?" situations.
-Chris and Claire sibling interactions! We haven't been blessed with those since Code Veronica, nice.
Want to clear out:
-Pertaining to an early leak which caused quite a ruckus on TW: Maria was climbing over Leon like a koala to a tree during their fight scenes, but never once did he flirt with her or anyone else for that matter. He even called Maria "Arias' bitch" who could finally be with her Dad again after she died by Leon's hands. Kinda brutal coming from Leon if you ask me.
-This Leon came in with a luggage-ful of cringey but kinda funny one-liners. He reminds me of Damnation!Leon and I didn't sense any undertones of depression in him! Though he still hates his job (he refers to it as just a "living"), Leon seems to be in a much better place this time around. This scene literally happened:
Leon blurts out a one liner
Jill musters up an Oscar-worthy "Ugh...really?" reaction
Jill, probably:
Want to add:
-Movie was about how people respond to trauma differently. Dylan practically experienced the same sh*t as the main cast in RC, but he had chosen to side with the villains.
-Really nice to see this new model of Leon in action, doing re4r-esque stunts. That was kinda missing in ID, tbh. Also Leon and bikes look hot together, but can never be good news.
-Other character relationships in a nutshell, for those who are interested.
Jill and Leon -> This was definitely their buddy cop movie. I know people like to bully Leon for being "dumb" or for whatever reason, but Jill clearly respects his skills the same way Leon respects hers.
Jill and Chris -> Movie makes it clear that Chris absolutely cares about Jill. You can interpret it as both platonic and romantic (not very much so on the latter, though). I love Chris' "Welcome back!" line to Jill in the end and their little fist bump.
Chris and Leon -> I'd say they're like old co-workers who definitely know how to defeat BOWs. That's about it. They are mostly in action scenes together, with very little dialogue.
Rebecca and Claire -> Had great moments of nerdiness together (I mean that in an affectionate way), but very few action scenes compared to the other 3 mains.
Can't say much about the other character combos, tbh. There was no mention of the ID conflict bet Leon and Claire. They have very little interactions in the film, probably less than a min. of dialogue? Just Leon saying Claire's name when they saw each other for the first time in the film (not even sure if that was Chris or him even), and then a scene where he ordered her and Rebecca to go mess around with the computers (ala ID).
-That character with a special mention in the early leaks -> It was Chris talking about Piers from re6. Unfortunately, there were no surprise appearances from other fan-fave characters.
-The ending was your classic "heroes staring into the sunset after one hella fight" cliche, but t'was nice nonetheless haha
Overall:
It's everything you expect from a Resident Evil movie. Campy and with a weak plot, but gets redeemed by featuring a sh*t ton of welcome fan service (both good and bad). I like it better than Vendetta.
Supposedly a 10/10, but that licker scene was a disservice to Jill, so 9/10.

Watching Through My Collection: Day 64/67
IT (1990)
Day 63 / Day 65
I've seen the more recent adaptations of It, and even gotten a little ways into reading the book, so there wasn't much this movie could surprise me with. That allowed me to sit back and simply enjoy the art of the effects and acting.
CW: Child abuse, regular and sexual assault.
This was a tv miniseries, of course, so all gore is deeply tuned down. Along with other darker themes the R rated newer movies got to play around with. Of course, that doesn't mean this version has no tension!
There's plenty of tension.
The love of the Loser's Club- or Lucky Seven, as they're referred to mostly in this series- is real. The friendship between the characters extends to the actors and it makes everything better for it. The moments where characters are enjoying each other’s company and having fun are more real and therefore it's more of a juxtaposition when things get dangerous.
Tim Curry, of course, deserves all the accolades he's gotten for making Pennywise such a bully of a beast. He always comes across perfectly like he wants nothing more than to start breaking kids' limbs, whether he's actually threatening them or cracking jokes.
My favorite dynamic across the versions I already know is between Richie, Eddie, and Bev and that favoritism is maintained strong by this miniseries. Though I did also love the additional scenes of Bill and Mike rrepairing and riding around on Bill's bike, intercut with flashbacks of them doing the same stunts as kids.
Honestly, the way the flashbacks were used and interspersed throughout the film was a great use of the time and format of the miniseries: Keeping more of the fast-paced action and the kids' fight against the monster in the first half to get viewers hooked, and then letting the second half draw out the tension of the adults returning to Derry for the people that are invested.

I'm also pretty sure nobody forced H to promote the citrus bike company nor Loew*
So is Harry promoting every brand he wears or goes near? If he was spotted driving a BMW every few weeks would you say he was promoting BMWs? And yet according to you Louis isn't promoting Vodka Red Bull which he has name dropped in every interview for years? Or Burberry and Givenchy which he parades around in at airports ? Or Stone Island, or Adidas?
So blindingly obvious who your favorite is.
Do you think Louis has a sponsorship with Red Bull?
Hello, harrie!
You're quite persistant and i don't appreciate your tone. However, i'll explain it to you, because it's actually very simple.
When you're a sought after celebrity who's a role model to a wide range of people, who gets their pap pics printed in tabloids for people to see and be exposed to, you will attract brands who wants you to promote their products. You've become an influencer, whether you like it or not. Some brands will pay you, some will make exclusive deals with you, and some will send you their stuff for free in hope that you'll like it and wear it/use it without money being involved. With me so far?
No matter what H or L wears, drives, drinks etc. people are going to notice it and want to copy them. They're walking billboards, no matter what, just because they are celebrities. Celebrities want deals with brands because that means they'll get paid. The more exclusive and high end the brand is, the more of an A-lister you will seem, and the more you'll get paid.
Harry used to have an exclusive deal with Gu*ci, where he most likely was asked to wear X number of items to be papped in, and they made his tour outifts. Harry also used to have a deal with Loew*, where he got paid to wear their stuff and stunt with their face of the brand. He also got paid to wear the R*w. It's also very apparent he's getting paid to ride citrus fruit bikes, because it's so frequent and it always ends up in the daily mail. I'm not sure if he's got a deal with S.S. Daley or if it started out as a free clothes thing. He's now invested in this brand, so i'm guessing he'll start wearing it more. Harry also had a deal with Paige jeans some years ago, and very famously NOT a deal with YSL, despite wearing their stuff. He could also have a deal with adidas for shoes, but i'm not sure there is a deal in place there. This is just a few examples, there are more. Still with me?
Now when it comes to Louis, he's wearing a wide range of different brands, so it's fairly easy to see he's not got any exclusive deals. He's also hardly ever papped, so he isn't in a postition to expose the gp to brands, only his own fandom. He might get free stuff to wear, but he doesn’t get paid to wear a certain brand. He would wear other brands less if that were the case.
So no, Louis hasn't got a deal with Red Bull. Idk if you've ever noticed the things Red Bull sponsors or who they sign deals with, but it's mostly sports teams or people who are exposed on TV. Louis has an image to uphold and a persona he wants people to see him as, and that person smokes and drinks. Louis has claimed a couple of times that he's a vodka Red Bull type, but when we see him drinking it's shots, beer or a fruity drink. I don't think i've ever seen him with a Red Bull can in pics with the logo visible.
To sum it up for you; if you are an exposed celebrity with reach and influence, you'll attract brands who wants you to promote their products. Regardless if you have a deal or not, everything you wear, drink, drive etc. will be of interest to your fans. So you might as well earn some money if you're a walking billboard anyway. Deals with cheap or low quality products will make you look greedy and hurt your reputation, while high end brands will make you look rich and successful. So you shouldn't say yes to everything, just because they're offering you a lot of money.
Got it?

Editor’s note: The following interview was conducted before the SAG-AFTRA strike began on July 14, 2023.]
Rebecca Ferguson is ready for a break. She’s finished her A.D.R. (additional dialogue) on “Dune: Part Two,” the promotion chores on “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” (her third in the series), and is on her way home to hang with her 16-year-old son and still-friendly first husband in Sweden.
She was prepared to go back to England’s Hoddesdon Studios to shoot the second season of “Silo,” the most popular series on AppleTV+, returning her to the lead role of Sheriff. Not necessary, as the day after we spoke, July 13, SAG-AFTRA announced they were going on strike. “The percentage of people fortunate enough to have a good life as actors have to fight for the other percentage,” she said on the phone.
The 39-year-old actress, who grew up in Stockholm, attended a bilingual English school, and trained as a dancer, has steadily built herself into a major star. Who else goes toe-to-toe with Tom Cruise and returns to do it again, twice, without simply being a romantic appendage? It makes perfect sense that her best friend on the set of “Dune” was Charlotte Rampling. “She’s absolutely exquisite,” she said. “I look up to and admire her ridiculously.”
...
The actress rejects the notion of ever “going up against” Tom Cruise, who wanted her for Ilsa after seeing her in the “War of the Roses” mini-series “The White Queen.” “It’s not a battle,” she said. “You go in with the mission of trying to survive. It is written by the incredible Christopher McQuarrie, and Tom is part of that journey. They want phenomenal characters. It merged beautifully, the character [Ilsa] with me: the time, the place, the relationship with Tom all worked with well. The trajectory of this character is so complex and interesting to work with. I asked for a continuation. The story writes itself.”
The actress does not even try to keep up with Cruise. For one thing, she doesn’t perform all her own stunts. If she has to fall out of a speeding car, she leaves that to her beloved stunt double Lucy Cork.
Ferguson did, however, handle the climactic “Dead Reckoning” fight on the bridge herself, she said. “I tend to be running far behind, but I try. Tom is the movie. He represents ‘Mission,’ everything that’s good, and thankfully nothing bad has come from it. You are offered a palette of knowledge: you learn it and do it and embrace it. You also can choose to say ‘no.’ They will find a solution around it, you’re never forced to do it.”
She gamely tried to master riding a motorcycle, and had to earn a license. “You have to learn quickly,” she said. “I had to be ready to shoot soon. It was a 760 Triumph, a big motorbike. I am very strong, but being on one of these on a road in England going fast — the trainer said I was going too slow. ‘I need to get off; it’s not safe. I don’t trust myself.’ No worries! They had other options: Jennie [Tinmouth], the best motorcycle bike rider in the world.”
This “Mission: Impossible” installment boasts more women than usual including Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, and Hayley Atwell. “‘Mission’ is probably the one franchise that knows how to write storylines for women,” said Ferguson, who takes the scripts as they come. “They break things down; there’s not a lot of going into detail about what happened. You do not talk about it. There’s always reasons why arcs go a certain way,” she said. I control my own destiny [as Ilsa], there are reasons why things happen.” (A very compelling notation, given what happens to Ilsa in the latest film.)
“Silo” has turned out to be the happiest experience of Ferguson’s career, partly because she is an executive producer, but mostly, she said, because showrunner-creator Graham Yost (“Speed”) runs a non-hierarchical set. “I don’t like it when people are more important than others,” she said. “A happy set becomes creative and a safe set becomes a safe space.”
.....
What’s most important with each character for Ferguson, besides building up the right physique, is to “create a silhouette,” she said. “Then you’ve nailed a memorable figure, say, Cruella de Vil, through movement.” Working with movement coach Alexandra Reynolds (“The Theory of Everything”) she expressed the trauma Juliette stores in her body. “She carries a lot of internal grief and internally, and is socially uncomfortable, and is walking away when people touch her. She’s tactile with her own tools and her own world,” Ferguson said. “I often take on powerful characters and portray regal princesses and countesses and concubines, so my agenda was to completely break down and find in myself the capacity to do something else with Juliette.”
At first when the mechanic is named sheriff, she wants to solve the mystery of her lover’s death. “I find Juliette selfish in the beginning, she’s a broken heroine who gradually realizes there are things bigger than herself,” she said. “I love where we are going to in Season 2. She definitely learns new tricks and things get very wet.”
Next up: “Dune: Part Two” (November 3, Warner Bros.) is in the hands of the editors and composer Hans Zimmer. Assuming the strikes are resolved by October, Ferguson will be back on the promo trail.
Returning to Lady Jessica offered a character in transition. “She starts as a powerful, knowledgeable, magical mother and protector on a quest and a journey to make Paul into the leader,” she said. “She’s on a path to see the creation she has made and how is this new Jessica in relation to what her son has become? He’s more forceful, what does she do? She’s a significantly important person to the Fremen.”

Following up from your other future headcanons. Which I love 👍👍. There are some questions I wanna ask due to being a bit lost on certain details.
Does Maya join in Kelsey/Vanessa/Stacks relationship?
How Does Craig travel so much?
Why would J.P go back to hockey even as a past time?
What happened to the cliques of Handebarb and Jason?
I can actually see Sparkle Cadet be like this character https://bighero6.fandom.com/wiki/Wendy_Wower
I will say, it's been a while since I've watched the show and some details are fuzzy, and it's mostly just headcanon and not a full AU, so I don't have every detailed worked out. Pick and choose what you like as you wish. But here are my personal, headcanon answers to those questions:
I'd like to think so! The girl gang grows...
When a band commissions Craig to make and sell merch, they take him on tour with him. Idk how this works in real life, but that's a fun little scenario I'd like to believe. He probably goes on his first tour as the official merch guy with Bad Moves, and as he meets more and more music artists at concerts, he gets more popular. So he just kinda gets to see the country tagging along with whichever band pays him.
I don't know. It's been a long while since I've seen The New Jersey, but from what I remember he didn't dislike the sport, just the team he'd have to play with. He gave it the good old college try when he was older, enjoyed it, but ultimately didn't pursue it. So either way it's not a big deal in the long run, because he only played it for 2 or 3 years.
I haven't put a ton of thought into them, but here's how I see it: Handlebarb when into some kind of stunt work professionally, most likely either some kind of biking thing (I think stunt biking is a thing?) or becoming a stunt double in movies, but either way, they still ride their bike every day. Canonball is the one who actually cycles in races as a sport, and he usually wins. As for Warpspeed and todd, I have no clue. Sorry!
The forest scouts are a little easier for me to say. I think Jason ends up being a park ranger who leads forest scout troops over the summer. He can still be a stickler for the rules, but he's mellowed out a lot over time. Boris is harder to say, but given he was always pretty kind, I'd say he's no too far off from Jason. Some kind of wildlife expert who specializes in plant life or a natural history museum curator. Either way, he's a conservationist and is very involved in all sorts of wildlife protection efforts. I see Tony as a historian or a librarian as an adult. If he ended up a librarian, I think he'd specialize in non-fiction and find a place that specifically collects non-fiction resources for people to use when writing books or essays or research projects, and helping people narrow down their research. We have a place like that kind of close to where I live.
5. I haven't watched the Big Hero Six series, but I could also see Sparkle Cadet as a similar character in the future from what I saw on the wiki.

Hii 🥰
So in honor of World Yoga Day. I wanted to ask do your MC‘s and or OC‘s practice any type of sports?
If yes which one and why?
does the oph book 2 baseball game count? lmao
Baxter (oph) - simple yoga & occasionally some water aerobics, its the easiest way for them to exercise without overexerting themself/make their chronic pain worse. Raf always helps them through routines bc they don't like being in classes with other people
Simon (hssprime) - gymnastics and ballet. he's done both since his early childhood & he just really enjoys them. in high school he does cheerleading
Devi (ilitw) - archery, partially bc he thinks archery is cool but also bc he felt like he wanted a way to defend his friends after Jane died. not that it does much though, what's he gonna do, shoot a ghost with an arrow? excellent plan there bud. but it does give him a sense of security.
Harper (ilb)- boxing, wrestling, and basically any other type of unarmed combat. he likes being able to beat the shit outta someone with his bare fists but talking them down from fighting him by being like "hey im just a little guy, and its my birthday, im just a little birthday boy, youre not gonna hit a little birthday boy are you?" mostly it just confuses people long enough for him to throw some pocket sand at them and just start absolutely wailing
Avalon - (hwu) used to play football, soccer, and baseball in high school as a way to prove hes TOTALLY not gay. he is favorite was baseball and he'll still play if asked but its only like once every few months. also bike rides with his kids, if that counts. and he does his own stunts for the most part | (rcd) didn't play sports as a kid, but still likes and will play baseball. also works out a genuinely alarming amount. like. genuinely genuinely. he's going to therapy about it.
Lorrie (cop) - triathalons. started out as a charity thing but they liked it enough to keep doing them regularly. also, recently, Drakovian hand-to-hand combat
thanks for asking!! 💞

What jobs (i.e. police, construction, etc.) do you think are missing from PAW Patrol? I assume those that you have OCs to fill, but are there any others?
Well, they've basically got all their corners covered in the show. Rocky is the fix-it pup, Chase is for traffic and pulling, Skye flies, Rubble digs and builds things, Zuma is anything water/underwater, Marshall has a ladder and is the medic, Everest has gear for snow and mountains, and Ryder himself handles tech.
I'd go as far to say my OCs aren't really necessary. Tara is for underground, but obviously Rubble can drill through rocks and the gang have no issues with caves. Byte deals with electronics, but basically anything that involves him could easily be done by Ryder and Rocky. Even Nami, there's been nothing stopping anyone else on the team from dealing with storms or natural disasters, her skill with small animals is also shared with Marshall. Every one of their jobs has overlap, I mostly just try to make them a specialist and the best pick. For instance, you'd call Tara for a volcano as she would know the most about them, but Nami deals in natural disasters, so she can also handle them. My own OCs are not immune to redundancy.
I think this is one reason they've struggled with making new jobs for pups. Like oh, Tracker...is a jungle pup and carries tools...like Rocky. Rex is a Dino pup so he....cares for dinosaurs? Liberty is just a City pup and I'm like "what does that even MEAN". Why they even felt the need to make a "big rig" pup like...ok you're a professional driver I guess even though that's not really a rescue position? I like Wild but man, a stunt bike rider is a weird choice on a rescue team.
All this is to say yeah, I don't really have other ideas for jobs. Practically any time a new scenario comes up in the show, they find some way to solve with a wench or ladder.
